Morning Devotional...I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.Jeremiah 31:3; Romans 5:8
How do I know that the Lord loves me?
I know He loves me because of His Word. They are love letters for me to read and know what He has done for me and what He is doing for me.
Besides His Word, I know that He loves me because of His actions.
While I was yet His enemy, God sent His Son to die and pay a debt that I could not pay.
Because of His words and His actions you too can know that He loves you and desires a relationship with you.
—V. GaynierThe cross reveals Thy love below,
But better soon our hearts shall know,
When we behold Thy face above,
The fullness of our Father's love.

Behold, What Love! (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/beholdwhatlove.mpga)
(Click to hear music)
Author: Robert Boswell, 19th Century
Musician: James McGranahan, 1840-1907
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
1 John 3:1-3 [/list]
Behold, what love, what boundless love,
The Father hath bestowed
On sinners lost, that we should be
Now called "the sons of God!"
Refrain
Behold, what manner of love!
What manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us,
That we, that we should be called,
Should be called the sons of God!
No longer far from Him but now
By "precious blood" made nigh,
Accepted in the "Well beloved,"
Near to God's heart we lie.
Refrain
What we in glory soon shall be,
It doth not yet appear;
But when our precious Lord we see,
We shall His image bear.
Refrain
With such a blessèd hope in view,
We would more holy be,
More like our risen, glorious Lord,
Whose face we soon shall see.
Refrain

Good morning! I had one of "those" nights again, then slept too late this morning to go to the wellness center and pool. Well, we could have gone, but needed to get started on our day.
I showed those Swiss Ice photos to Darrel, and we both enjoyed them, Karen.
Congratulations, Nita! That little girl is really enjoying her Veggie Tales! Haha. I liked Matt's version a lot, too, but the stuff in her plate was yellow, which didn't correspond to her GREEN tongue! What a cute photo.
Welcome, Designtrade!! Come in, post, and tell us about yourself!
The sun is shining here and looks to be shaping up into a nice day.
yeah the veggie one was so cute! My kids got up and said "veggie tales! Vote for that one mommy!" :)

The Holy Spirit: Holiness and Worship First
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His
mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of
the Holy Spirit,...that having been justified by His grace we should
become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
--Titus 3:5-7
To teach that the filling with the Holy Spirit is given to the
Christian to provide "power for service" is to teach truth, but not
the whole truth. Power for service is but one effect of the
experience, and I do not hesitate to say that it is the least of
several effects. It is least for the very reason that it touches
service, presumably service to mankind; and contrary to the popular
belief, "to serve this present age" is not the Christian's first
duty nor the chief end of man....
The primary work of the Holy Spirit is to restore the lost soul to
intimate fellowship with God through the washing of regeneration....
God wants worshipers before workers; indeed the only acceptable
workers are those who have learned the lost art of worship. It is
inconceivable that a sovereign and holy God should be so hard up
for workers that He would press into service anyone who had been
empowered regardless of his moral qualifications. The very stones
would praise Him if the need arose and a thousand legions of angels
would leap to do His will.
Gifts and power for service the Spirit surely desires to impart;
but holiness and spiritual worship come first. That Incredible
Christian, 36-37.
"Oh, Lord, where has the hunger for holiness gone? We're such
active doers; we're so enamored of activity; we're so focused on
growth. We desperately need this reminder of the priority of
holiness and spiritual worship. Amen."

yea, we're back! If you don't know what I'm talking about, then, well, we (CP) were gone for a while. :)
It's Friday!!!!!!!!!!!! WooHOOOoooo!
and wiht that, I'm off to finish some stuff before the baby awakes!!
;)
Yes, we're back. Poor Ian has had quite the day! I think that the server move is finished now but I'm not entirely certain.
Now, we're going to have to do a lot of talking in here! LOL
I have had a busy, busy day! Got out wills done, signed, witnessed and notarized. We will probably change them numerous times as we remember more things, but at least it's a start. That's more than we had before.
I am working on some framing jobs, too, and got a big order of art supplies in to unpack, mark and stock.
And besides all this, I went to pick up commodities for Beth. she got some really nice stuff this time, it will be a big help with her budget.
Karma, we are WAITING (impatiently) to see Travis and Kristi again! ;D
Well, it isn't morning anymore, but it's my first time in, so there's at least a similarity. Besides, it's kind of like a brand new morning for me anyway - I got my IRS refund today, and I'm richer than I was yesterday! Praise the Lord for letting me take care of a little of His money.
What great news, Al. Glad you got that refund! What are you going to spend it on? LOL
Ian's had all kinds of trouble with this server move. I am so happy that he got us online again. What an involved kind of occupation to be involved in.

Had a good day today Went to breakfast witht he Tai Chi class at the Pantry. (remember that place Jane when you realized that you had crossed Sutter rd. and gone too far.)
I may be getting into the Red Hatters, my Tai Chi instructor is the heasd of it around here.

Written by Martin Nystrom
Psalm 42:1
"As the hart panteth after the water brooks,
so panteth my soul after thee, O God."
As the deer panteth for the water,
So my soul longs after you.
You alone are my hearts desire,
And I long to worship You.
Chorus
You alone are my strength, my shield;
To You alone may my spirit yield.
You alone are my hearts desire,
and I long to worship You.
I want you more than gold or silver,
Only You can satisfy.
You alone are the real joy giver
And the apple of my eye.
Chorus
You alone are my strength, my shield;
To You alone may my spirit yield.
You alone are my hearts desire,
and I long to worship You.
You're my friend and You're my brother,
Even though you are a King.
I love You more than any other
So much more than anything.
Chorus
You alone are my strength, my shield;
To You alone may my spirit yield.
You alone are my hearts desire,
and I long to worship You.

Hi, friends,
I kinda felt bad yesterday, so "took the day off." Hope all are doing well.
Ruth Ann
Ruth Ann, it's very ok to take the day off. :) You work hard enough to take more than one day off. Hope you are feeling better now.
Thanks to those who mentioned my Veggie Tales picture. I was sure that parents or grandparents who knew the Veggie Tale characters would think a dissolving Larry in the mouth would be cute. As the winner, I've posted a new picture to play with if you want to enter the challenge. I expect to see interesting variations. Designtrade and Matt have posted their entry.
Pat, isn't that such a wonderful song from Psalms? Such a story of love and longing from a poured out heart.
Congratulations Al, on getting your refund.
Marilyn, I saw a Red Hatter display at a local store today. Lots of red hats to choose from. I always thought they seemed to be having so much fun. What all do they do?
A new lens, Designtrade, great for you! Gotta keep our toys happy, huh? Tell you little one that Nita says thank you for choosing my Veggie Tales picture. :)
Janet, I remember way waaay back....when I was a single mother, getting commodities. Back than everything came generic bags; corn meal, burlger, rice, butter, peanut butter, and a sort of spam meat. I can't remember what else....but I know I was grateful.
TBEAR.......hope you're feeling better soon. Hurry, ok? :)
I tried to get in a couple of times today and couldn't so figured work was getting done. I'm glad we're up and running again. I wouldn't want to be Ian. Nope, nope, nope.
Hi to all my other friends on CP. I have two daughters in the living room, so guess I'll get in there to visit with them. love, nita
I assure you, Pat - I won't have any trouble finding something to do with the money! It's one of the short-supply things around here! Next year we won't get as big a refund, because I'm cutting down on the witholding from our annuity payments. But I admit it was nice getting it.
Couldn't sleep so thought I'd come in and say "Hello".
I see Soni hasn't changed the NEM so maybe we'll just add tomorrow's date to this one since there aren't as many posts due to the server being "down".
Now, I'll get back to bed.
G,night Pat. Everyone is in bed around here, so I'm getting ready to do that too.
Boy, do I understand the "couldn't sleep". I go through that all the time. Then one night I'll have a full night of sleep, and feel so refreshed.

The Holy Spirit: As Holy As You Want to Be
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they
shall be filled.
--Matthew 5:6
It may be said without qualification that every man is as holy and
as full of the Spirit as he wants to be. He may not be as full as
he wishes he were, but he is most certainly as full as he wants
to be.
Our Lord placed this beyond dispute when He said, "Blessed are they
which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be
filled." Hunger and thirst are physical sensations which, in their
acute stages, may become real pain. It has been the experience of
countless seekers after God that when their desires became a pain
they were suddenly and wonderfully filled. The problem is not to
persuade God to fill us, but to want God sufficiently to permit Him
to do so. The average Christian is so cold and so contented with His
wretched condition that there is no vacuum of desire into which the
blessed Spirit can rush in satisfying fullness. Born After
Midnight, 8.
"Lord, quiet my heart today and fill me with this holy longing. I
don't want to be contented with my present condition; I long for
that vacuum of desire into which the Holy Spirit can rush. Amen."

I, too, am not asleep and have been up for about an hour (it's 5:15 am in Nashville). My goodness, how much better it feels to be able to take the dogs into the front yard to sniff for a moment and not be in terrible pain. When I saw the doc on Thursday he had me resume the arthritis meds that were stopped Dec 1. Oh, how thankful I am!
Nita and Jane, I almost never mention your posts, but wanted to thank you for your good messages to us all.
Greetings to our new friends! We're mighty happy you're here.
And, to all who come here, greetings in the name of our Lord. Y'all have a good day with Him today.

Hi Everyone...
It's so sunny here in Guelph. It's cold but so nice outside.
How are you all? I sure am missing Etta Sue's lovely newsy posts. Hope that she's having a great time in Florida.

Be filled with the Spirit.
Ephesians 5:18
Words: Elwood H. Stokes, 1879.
Music: John R. Sweney, 1879
Hover o'er me, Holy Spirit,
Bathe my trembling heart and brow;
Fill me with Thy hallowed presence,
Come, O come and fill me now.
Refrain
Fill me now, fill me now,
Jesus, come and fill me now;
Fill me with Thy hallowed presence,
Come, O come, and fill me now.
Thou canst fill me, gracious Spirit,
Though I cannot tell Thee how;
But I need Thee, greatly need Thee,
Come, O come and fill me now.
Refrain
I am weakness, full of weakness,
At Thy sacred feet I bow;
Blest, divine, eternal Spirit,
Fill with power and fill me now.
Refrain
Cleanse and comfort, bless and save me,
Bathe, O bathe my heart and brow;
Thou art comforting and saving,
Thou at sweetly filling now.

Good news in Kansas today that they've arrested the infamous "BTK Serial Killer" after 25 years of the cat and mouse game with the law.
I'm sure that many in Kansas are breathing a sigh of relief today.
Quote from: designtrade on February 26, 2005, 11:44:58 AM
good morning eveyone and thanks for the welcome I missed it before for some odd reason.
Today im going to the conservatory in MN to put my new camera and macro for a test drive. Please say a prayer, the drive is a 2 hour drive and people out there have a habit of switching lanes without looking or sending a signal, its always a gamble driving out there!
I hope you all have great weekends!
Please check in when you get home. I'll be remembering you as you drive.
Until later...
thanks pat I will, im off to log off and get dressed now, god bless you all and if the weather is nice outside where you live get out and enjoy it because here in WI it is soooo cold brrr!
Hello all!!!!! Pics are forthcoming, I promise!! I took some this morning of Kristi, but I may not post them yet, because I am debating whether to enter it in one of the dpc challenges.
Hopefully, I will get some of her and big brother later today, maybe. . .
Nita and Jane -- Nards adn I were discussing vacations the other day. (We do a lot of discussing it, and little doing it). I've put in my order for Oregon again. :-) Maybe someday.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!!
Take care, I'll be around, maybe
Oh, I'll be looking forward to seeing your photos, Karma...
Thanks folks for clicking on the Google ads. I really appreciate it.
Happy Saturday, Folks!
Yes, the BIG news in Kansas is the arrest of the BTK killer. Turns out, he has been employed in Park City for 20 years as a dog catcher!! >:( I feel so sorry for his poor wife and two kids in their 20s and also his wife's parents; none of whom had the slightest suspicion he could do such horrible things. I'm sure all of you will see his ugly mug on your evening news tonight.
We are going to Garden this evening for a special ceremony honoring all the new Eagle Scouts of the area, which includes our Mark. He will also be receiving his God and Country award, and his Scoutmaster will receive the Silver Beaver Award, the highest award given by the BSA to a volunteer. Should be a great evening!
Ruth Ann, I'm so glad for your relief from pain! I don't know how you manage to do all you do, but know it is because your heavenly Father keeps giving you strength and courage. Love you!
Karma, waiting to see those cutie pies of yours!
See all of you next time I check in!
Karma - no doubt you and Bernard will be told the wonders of many places you could go on vacation. Nevertheless (absolutely never), despite a slight bias, I STRONGLY recommend Oregon! You would of course have to go up the coast to see Nita & Jane, then to Newport to see the absolutely fabulous aquarium there. And you'd have to at least view the Cascades, including Mt. Hood, which broods over Portland, Mts. Jefferson, Batchelor, Three Sisters, etc. over east of Salem. Then you'd have to drive down into California just a few miles (about 95) to see the Redwood Coast, Al Moak, and Marilyn Fisher. Then, if you're quite fortunate, you could probably go home again!
Actually, I don't believe in "fortune," so you'd just have to stay.

AL~That's really good advice and a GREAT itinerary for KARMA and NARD's vacation!! I surely agree. ;D
RUTH ANN~I appreciate you and your loving prayers ... you don't have to comment every time you see a post from me. I'm usually just rattling on, anyway.
I heard from Joy again last night and, it seems Bryan is having a hard time "learning to fly." She saw him briefly last weekend and noticed he is "doing well to hide the depression he is fighting" He is struggling, but the struggle only makes us stronger. All little birdies go through this ... flapping their little wings and almost biting the dust and then trying all over again. It's not easy for the mama bird (or the grandma) to watch, but we know that God's eye is always on the sparrow and he watches over Bryan, too! He has plans and a purpose for him and it is to prosper. We have to trust Him ... in all things.
I have not been on line much lately. In fact, I have not even had my computer turned on (or plugged in) much. I find this is also "a good thing."
Gotta go now ... clothes are dry and I need to fold them! See ya later ................[/b]
Hi All, Etta Sue called this morning and said they didn't have any trouble. She said they even drove into her brothers like they had been going there all the time. She said they even have a cousin that lives down there and they got to spend some time with them yesterday. I am sure they are having a good time. I am sure she will have a lot to tell you when they get back. ;)
Great to hear from you, Jerry. Nice to hear news of Etta Sue as well. I sure hope that she has a great time.
Anyone missed me? OUCH - Wednesday, I fell in the kitchen....hurt my back. Then, somehow, got an infection in my leg, so I'm now on powerful antibiotic Rx. Feels some better, but I won't attempt going to church tomorrow.
Dr. Charles Stanley comes on here at 8:pm Sunday nights., what an interesting aeries he is doing.
Last week it was on "Forgiveness"....sure spoke to this heart of mine.
Tomorrow, the subject is "Slothfulness". Now - what does that mean? I don't even know, so I'll have to tune in and find out.
Janet: What a wretch that BTK is. How far from Wichita are you?
Now folks, we need to keep praying for that precious child missing in Florida!! :'( :'(
Yes, Judy, we did miss you and I'm so sorry to read of your fall. This is truly terrible.
Please take care of yourself.
Slothfulness---I believe it's "laziness"?

Ruth
Pat thank you for "As the Deer" and " Fill Me Now. Tow of my most favorite hymns. I have been off work since noon but have been doing things around here. I used the Weed eater onthye back yard, got that done, did a load of laundry, hemmed a pair of slacks and pressed them.
I may have my old car sold. A young couple came by today and checked it out and have ofered me a nice offer on. I will know more after sometime next weekend. They stayed about 2 1/2 hours just talking and he was cleaning out my computer. Told me what I already know "I need more RAM."
I don't remember is I was here this morning but if I wasn't Hello everyone. I did come and read a couple of times today and I don't feel like going back to see if I posted or not.
My back is all better now, I think, At least it isn't hurting now. I did lift some boxes to move them today.
