I posted this in last night's topic:
Back in February when we had a problem with our forum, we formed an email list at Yahoo that is still active.
I used it today but there are only 19 people still registered on there.
I was thinking that it's a great way to let people know of any problems if you all subscribed to this list.
Here's the email to subscribe:
christianphotography-subscribe@yahoogroups.comThe website is at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/christianphotography (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/christianphotography)
So, if you'd like to do this, I think it would be a great idea. We'd only use this list if there are problems or if we need to let you all know something very quickly.
Morning Devotional...In every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Philippians 4:6
And this I pray.... Philippians 1:9
W. H. Griffith Thomas once wrote: "If only we could hear a man's private prayers, we could obtain an infallible guide to his spiritual life."
Actually, we have such a guide in the Apostle Paul's recorded prayers (Eph. 3:14-21; Phil. 1:9-11).
Have you noted in his prayers that his requests relate to the spiritual needs and not to the physical needs of God's people?
We can pray about anything from a lost button to the healing of a malady.
However, would we not do well to pray more about spiritual needs than we do?
--W. Ross Rainey
Guide, in prayer, our needs expressing
in sweet filial liberty,
While with grateful hearts addressing
worship, praise and thanks to Thee!

Yup ... Here's Jane ... later! :P
It's just now coming up on 9 p.m. here on the west coast ... but I know that's "later" for a lot of y'all...
I'd like to add my welcome home for Marilyn... I'm so glad you've made it to your new home and that you are getting settled (well at least the most important thing...computer/phone hook-up!). Take care, and enjoy your dinner "next door" ... I'll see y'all tomorrow. Or ... maybe sooner, who knows?
PAT~I'm still on that list, and I appreciate your heads-up on the problems here. I had aleady noticed them, and posted to Janet about them in one of the other forums. I don't worry about things like this ... Just trust that the ones that "know" will have everything running smoothly as soon as they can.
No pressure!

Thanks Guys
Heather I am drowning in Purple puddles! The pictures are just great.
Please everyone check out 'Have You Prayed About It" for an update on Melaura.
Jenny. England. 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Yes...Happy Birthday from me Judy!
It's another glorious day here in England....Unusual weather for these times, though I have memories of long hot summers during the 40s and 50s.....(what have we done to the ozone layer?).
I wasn't too well yesterday but praise God I'm up and running again this morning....
I am re-reading Nicky Cruz's "The Magnificent Three" thinking of Jo., Also I have by my side a tiny old book "Bees in Amber" by John Oxenham, a dated author but I have all his novels, my son has collected them for me from second hand shops over the years. Also his poetry books.
"To every man there openeth A Way, and Ways and A Way.
And the High Soul climbs the High Way,
And the Low Soul gropes the Low,
And in between, on the misty flats,
The rest drift to and fro.
But to every man there openeth
A High Way and A Low,
And every man decideth the Way his soul shall go." John Oxenham. 1913.
Have a glorious day everyone...I send my love.... Jenny.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY FROM ONE JUDY......
:D :D TO ANOTHER!!! :D :D
Heather, what sweet photos of you, Jon and children! They sure came across ever so clear.
How are you doing with CAS???...things are going better I hope. ???
Jenny: You write such lovely posts! My goodness, I didn't think England got such hot weather.
My friend, Ivy just went to London on Sunday, and I KNOW she packed mostly warm clothes. Everyone told her; 'oh they get such a lot of rain..., and its always so cool!. She is in for a shock eh?
Lots planned for today., we each have 2, yes 2 doctor appointments, so I'd better "get crackin')...haha. Have you heard that expression before....."get crackin'"...LOL
...Judy M.
Good Morning All!!
Sorry I haven't participated earlier, but it's taken a couple of days to revamp my morning schedule to include a "breakfast visit" before work.
I want to thank you all again for the many prayers and words of encouragment. Already I can feel His Spirit rising within me and I am strengthened.
Quick praise report: I received a letter from the State of California regarding a tax issue from 12 years ago when my youngest son's father forged my name to our tax returns and got us caught up in an audit. I had originally been billed $3900 for back taxes owed, but filed an innocent spouse report explaining my side of the story. The new bill tells me that they have waived all but $394! :)
God has been so faithful to continually remind me that He is waiting patiently in the wings for me to get my head on straight!
Again, I thank Him for blessing me with this site and the wonderful saints I am meeting here.
I will try to visit you all before work. I get so uplifted by the wonderful devotionals I read here. It's a wonderful way to start my day!
Forgive me in advance if I don't address each individual person by name, as time may not allow, but know that I am listening as God speaks through you to my heart.
Now on to other things:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUDY!!
How blessed you are with such a beautiful family! Hope you have a day fit for the princess you are!
(well, you are a daughter of the King, are you not??)
To everyone else who visits here today- many blessings be to you and yours in the Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
I leave you with this short poem:
YOU TOUCH A LIFE
A single thread in a mighty weave
You touch a life and then
You leave it here
different somehow
knowing You now
for all eternity.
A broken heart You delight to mend
You somehow make it new again
and leave it here
to open up
and love someone
on Your behalf.
A treasured child You graciously send
You grow Him up like You and then
You leave Him here
to die for us
Your precious gift
Eternal Love.
Have a Blessed Day!!Edited by Pat to fix the two special posts, Jo...
OOOPS! Guess I didn't do something correctly! The banners didn't work for me... Please explain how to get those wonderful big letters moving across the screen!
Thanks and God Bless!
Hi everyone. Am here early and see that several have already been here and posted, which is wonderful.

Jenny, sorry to read you weren't feeling well yesterday but glad to see that today is better. Sometimes a day can make a big difference.
Karmat, it sounds like you are enjoying Bible School and I am sure the kids are enjoying the music.
Jo, nice to see you posting here this morning and will look forward to your daily postings before work. This is a good way to start off our day with the devotiional reading and encouragement from each other.
I had a very good day yesterday. When I woke up yesterday morning I wasn't tired as I have been most days. I drove by myself to my treatment and also did a couple of errands. I know this doesn't sound like much but to do this without becoming exhausted is exciting. I think I am seeing the benefits of my EECP treatments.
Judy, you and Norm will be exhausted at the end of this day with all those doctor appointments. Hope all goes well.
Heather, very nice cards you made for you mother. How is your job going?
Hi Jane. I remember when you were traveling so much. It must seem a bit strange to not be doing so much of that anymore, but probably very nice as well. Hope you enjoy your trip to Ohio.
It is time to go have coffee with my retired friends, as I do each morning.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUDY!!!
God's blessings on your wonderful day, and hereafter!
I'll have to post my homeschooling stories later. Today is my parents' 25th anniversary. I will have a ton to do because they're leaving for the day and I'll have the kids at home with me.
Good Day everyone! We are happy to be home after a very scheduled but terrific trip to Minnesota.
Pat S: Thanks for the devotion - on praying for anything, I do recall praying to find a dropped needle in the carpet once. It was more for safety for children than myself. I did find the needle in the haystack or more precise - the carpet.
Happy Birthday to Judy B!
I see Marilyn has moved and wish you well in your new surroundings, Marilyn.
Larry: How nice to read that you had a good day of renewed strength.
Thank you Lord for delivering us safely back home after driving freeways and byways and sitting through thunderstorms in motels. Now, my prayer list is steady with the news of a friend here who has just had a double mastectomy. She is not a believer and I pray for guidance in everything I say to her especially now.
Better late than never I suppose! I'm in a rush! happy Birthday Judy.
'Thou art not far from the kingdom of God.'
Mark 12:34
Almost persuaded but not quite! Is this your condition today? You believe that there is a God to whom you must give an account. You also believe that He has made a way for sinners to approach Him. You know full well that Jesus Christ is the Saviour of sinners. He came not to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.
They that are whole need not a physician but them that are sick. You and I my friend are sick. We are sinners and there is only one cure for our ailment. How long halt you between two opinions? Are you content to put your eternal salvation off for another day? Can you truly afford to take that chance?
Those who know me are well aware that I seemed very fit and healthy the day I suffered my heart attack. It came out of the blue. No warnings! One minute I was driving to work, the next I was preparing to meet my Maker. Thankfully I was prepared to meet my God and I had no fear. Can you say that?
Many try in their own strength to please God in whatever way they can. Often it is by good works. Perhaps you attend church both ends every Sabbath. I commend you for doing so, but what is your motive for attending?
Are you there just to be seen or are you seeking salvation with all your heart? You may think that you have heard the Gospel hundreds, perhaps thousands of times, however my friend if you are not saved then you have not heard the Gospel!
So near yet so far. Are you putting the fear of man between you and Jesus? Do you fear starting on the journey and then falling away? My friend listen to what God says about that. He who has begun the good work in you shall perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Time my friend to do away with all your excuses and place your trust completely in the finished work of Christ.
When you think of Jesus Christ nailed to the cross at Calvary, what goes through your mind? Is He just another ordinary human being? Or is He who the Bible says He is, the Son of God? If He is the Son of God, then why is He hanging on that tree? Can you answer that?
If He is as the Bible says offering Himself a sacrifice for sin. Who is He making atonement for? Is it for the Jews? Is it for His disciples? Or is it for you?
What of the Bible? Do you believe that it is God's word? Do you believe that every word within its borders is the absolute truth? If you do, and I rejoice in my soul that you do, then you must be prepared to give an account of your life before a thrice Holy God.
What will you say? How will you plead? Are you foolish enough to believe as many do these days that because God is a God of love, He will have mercy upon you and allow you into His glory?
If you are not reconciled with God in time, you will pay the wages of sin in a lost eternity. Can you contemplate that?
I plead with you as the prophet of old did, 'turn ye, turn ye, why will ye die O house of Israel.' I ask you, no I beg of you to take heed this day to your eternal destiny. We pass this way but once and for many the journey is shorter than they imagine.
Be ye reconciled to God. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved. Wilt thou go with this man? I pray with all my heart that today you will find a place in your heart for Jesus before you place your head on your pillow for rest.
Jesus awaits you with open arms, pleading, 'Come unto me all ye ends of the earth and be ye saved.' May you and I be found ploughing the same field together some day soon.
Today if you will hear my voice then harden not your heart. Not far from the kingdom is far enough away to be lost forever! Do not stop short. Come to Jesus just as you are. If you have time today listen to words of the beautiful hymn, Just as I am.
**I posted this message on my own site as I have a friend in the village where I stay who is 'almost persuaded!' he visited me on Saturday evening and left with tears in his eyes saying he wanted what I had!
He never goes to church yet he reads Apples of Gold every day. I pray that this will be blessed to his soul and to anyone else who is not far from the kingdom.
LOL
Your brother in Christ
Iain
Iain, how did you make out today with your appointments? And do you feel lighter now? (now that you got your ears lowered?)
For all those who don't know, Iain has a wonderful site called "Apples of Gold" that I check out every day! You should bookmark it and have a good read...

Happy Birthday Judy B.
Well here we are on Tuesday morning and we have sunshine in Nashville with a morning temperature of 74 degrees. It looks like it is going to be another beautiful day.
Marilyn, we are so glad you arrived safely and are getting settled. We hope your meeting with your new boss will turn out good.
Judy, two doctor's appointments the same day. I hope you get good reports.
Shinenlite, I'm glad you are getting that tax problem solved. Sounds like good news for you.
Larry, it sounds like you are making some improvement. Hang in there and take good care of yourself.
Thanks, Pat, for the devotional today. Prayer is so important for each one. It is a time when you can be alone with God and know He is listening and that he cares. I like to think of the next verse which promises us peace.
Phil 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (NIV)
--- Papa John ;D <:))))><<

MARGIT!
Larry ~ We are only humans doing work for God. Unlike Jesus, we are not perfect so sometimes our churches suffer. I pray your church will make the transition to a new minister smoothly.
Jen ~ Sometimes we like to be 'bored'. ::)
Papa John ~ Snag all you want!!!! I was hoping that you wouldn't need surgery but if that is what it takes to take away the pain and make life easier for you, I guess that is what needs to be done. Just pray that you have a quick recovery.
Marilyn ~ Glad you got online. Glad you are in McKinleyville. Now to get everything in shape for living. Hope your job goes well and have you found a new church yet? Isn't it nice to run next door for a meal??? So glad that Happydog did okay. How did the other two do?
Iain ~ I pray you get great news from your tests and your doctor!!!
Jeanne ~ It is cool here today so it may be cooler later in the week for you, too!!!! You know, that is the way the world turns!!!
Judy M ~ Good morning. Hope you are fine today.
Pat ~ I think I am still registered with Yahoo. When I used your clickable, it said 'esgret' which is my name on Yahoo.
Karma ~ Sounds like your church had/has a good group for VBS. From your confession, I am glad you were/are not in charge of 'snacks'!! ???
Janet ~ Glad you enjoyed the birthday party. Doesn't seem like Abby should be six already!! :'(
Jane ~ It won't be long now!!! ;D
Heather ~ Great birthday greetings to your Mother.
Jenny ~ Good day!!! Glad you stopped in for a visit.
Carol ~ Glad you had a great trip to Minnesota. I saw some pictures of you and Joan. Great pictures.
Iain ~ I just wish that anyone who is 'seeking' God would read your message today. I wish I had read this when I was seeking. I have heard people say they just aren't ready....they want to quit drinking or smoking or get their anger under control first. I have always said that it is never too late to accept Christ as your Lord and Savior but it may be too late NOT to.
Pat ~ Thanks for the URL's to our brother's and sister's sites. I have them in my favorites now. :-*
Mieka ~ I am so glad you are back!!! I miss your posts as well as I miss your profile photo. Do you have a new one to put up??? :-*
Al ~ I see you have met Marilyn! Tell us all!!!! 8)
It is quite cool here today. Started out soooooo dark. Then the thunder could be heard and then the rain coming sideways and then the lightening. Several people on the noon news are reported without electric. Right now though the sun is shining bright.

What a Great Day!
Birthdays & Anniversaries :) :)
Marilyn is in her new home. :) :)
I am so glad to be a part of this group even though I don't get here as often as I would like.
Terrific posts to read. I was having a nap!
Great that you've met Marilyn, Al! Hope you had a camera for that face-to-face meeting!
Kathy, you'll just have to make some more room in your schedule to meet with us more often. I love it when I see your name at the bottom telling me you're online!
Hi Etta Sue!
Welcome, MARGIT!
Hey there, everyone! I just came back from a visit with my Pastor Bev, in the hospital. She's looking really good ... and her spirits are still high! I'll give you an update in the prayer room. :)
Hi MIEKA! I will be leaving very early Thursday morning (like 3 a.m.) so I am still around here for one more day.
Etta Sue~Not long at all ... are you ready for this? 8) :o ;D
Marilyn, I'm happy that you're settling in ... and that Al has been around to check things out and give his approval. :P Don't forget Nita and I live "just up the road a piece" from you.
I love coming here and seeing all y'all just being happy and loving and caring and happy .. oh, did I already say that? .. :-[ I'm sure 'nuff going to miss this place for the seven days I'm away. Oh, well I can play catch up when I get back.
Larry, you asked if I've done much traveling since I moved here. Not much at all ... just up to Spokane, WA to visit my youngest daughter and her daughters and down to Sacramento to visit my other daughter ... That daughter, Joy, has moved to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico now so I have decided that's a trip I don't care to attempt ::)... we communicate via email now. I tell everyone that I don't need to travel any more -- I'm here! There's no place I'd rather be.
I am taking a trip (will be gone a week) to a family reunion in Indiana, leaving Thursday. My sister who lives in Missouri will meet me and our other (in between) sister at the airport Thursday afternoon, then we will traval by car on to Indiana. I will get to meet Etta Sue and Jerry along the way! Some fun!! I can hardly wait! ;D
I'm almost packed -- er, uh, I mean my suitcase is almost packed :-[-- and I've been to the bank (they wouldn't give me much money :-\... and no samples! :'() so all I have to do now is wait ... guess I can do that for a while anyway. ::)
I'm going on over to the prayer room to update a prayer request for my pastor.
See ya...

It was so nice to hear from you, Jenny over in England today. I hope that you have your scooter fixed. Glad you're feeling better today.
Hi Judy McK... I didn't know Ivy was going to England. Did she go alone? I wonder where she went. I'd love to have spoken to her before she left. I wish she'd come to CP. Maybe we can encourage her when she comes home from England. When is that?
Shinenlite, it was good to see you in New Every Morning today. I'm so happy about the wiped out debt. That's certainly is great news. Thanks for the poem. Did you write that?
I'm glad that the EECP treatments are working for you, Larry! That's certainly an answer to many of our prayers for you my dear friend. You and Pat are very special to me in so many ways.
Papa John, when will you find out if you must have back surgery? I hope that you'll show Cornelia how to post on CP or one of your children so that they'll be able to keep us informed as to your progress.
I'd love to go for a swim every day like you do, Janet! I think that's great.
Nice to see you dropping in before your work driving the bus, Ruth. Hope we see you later on as well.
Etta Sue, did you get the email I sent to the list yesterday then? Papa John replied to it so you should have got that as well. I think it's great to have this in case of a problem. I urge everyone to register for it if they aren't on the list and then one email will let everyone know that there's a problem. But of course, we aren't going to have any problems! Right? LOL
Well, Jane, how long will you be away altogether? We'll miss you.
Hi, Pat! Yes, I got the email yesterday from Yahoo group and the reply of Papa John's. A great way to keep in touch when things go bonkers!!!!
Jane ~ Yes, I am ready for this!!! I think it will be interesting to find out how you have relatives that live in Indiana. Who knows...I may be a relative or at least, know some of your relatives. I used to work with this girl...even went to some of her family reunions on her side as well as her husband's side. The a distant cousin was here talking to my mother about her dad's relatives and left almost a ream of papers with descendants names. Come to find out, I AM related to the girl I used to work with. My grandfather was her g-g-grandmothers brother. Her g-g grandmother was the oldest of 11....my grandfather was the youngest. Then my mother was the youngest of eight kids and I was the youngest of three...the reason for the span of generations. But it is a small world. We are all related to each other if we go back far enough and related through Christ as soon as we accept Christ!!! Anyway, I am anxious to see your smiling face!!!
I tried to call Ivalou this afternoon and her phone wasn't working right....busy signal and then I noticed she was outside. So I called Sprint for her. He just got through fixing her phone...or at least, the truck isn't in the drive now. Now that is fast service.
Al knocked on my door ( I recognized him immediatly)about 8:50 am, he took me to my job interview and then we went to DMV but I had forgotten to take my insurance papers with me, you can not register your car in California without showing your insurance papers. The job interview went very well, then they gave me an application to fill out and return with my letters of reference. They won't be making a decision until the end of next week. But WE all KNOW that job belongs to ME!! don't we? ??? :P ;D 8)
When we got back to my house I invited Al in for a cup of coffee and he asked me to turn opn my computer and you got the post. Al looks rather lovely in my face doesn't he? LOL He didn't bring his camera; we did see some photo ops on the way. One is right down the street from my house and I will go take the photo. TTYL
Pat, I should learn a week from tomorrow whether or not we will go for the surgery. Hopefully if surgery is decided on I will be away from the computer for just a few days.
--- Papa John ;D <:))))><<
Ohh....... >:( :'( Where did my post go?? And I had addressed each of you, too. :(
Well, guess I will try again tomorrow........
Marilyn : I hope you and Al were able to have someone take some pictures of you two meeting! Al is so kind to take you around... and yes we do know that that job belongs to YOu!!
Jo: I hope you go to Iain's web site and check out his Apples of Gold. I look at it almost everyday. There is so much to read and look at.
Well, Norm and I had our various doctor appointments today. All went well, but I am quite tired from it all I have a bit of trouble with one eye that I had the cataract surgery on. I have to go to our local hospital on August 6th and have laser treatment. There is a fine film over the eye. I didn't even notice it, until the doctor put in the drops and checked the pressure. Its a minor procedure, will take just 10 minutes to do.
I'm not concerned at all. He said it happens quite often.
A very Happy Anniversary Dan and Paulette....Two very sweet Tenderhearts!!
Margit: A special welcome to you as well!
Well, I'm sorry that you didn't take photos, Marilyn but I guess there will be other times to do this.
Judy, that's so close to our leaving for Calgary. Hope it goes well. Glad all of your doctor's appointments went well today. Wasn't that some rain we had?
Thanks Papa John for telling me that. You'll be missed while you're away--even if it's just for a few days.
Janet, I'm sorry you're having so many problems right now with that crazy computer. Maybe your good looking grandson will have a look at it and see if there's something wrong.
PAT - I will be gone eight days :-\ Leaving early Thursday morning and returning late (10:30 p.m.) the following Thursday.
Oh, yeah, Etta Sue ... I will not be wearing my famous infamous black hat! That black hat and my vest full of badges became Jaywalker's trade mark at all the SeniorNet bashes! Guess you will just have to meet the new me, instead! No longer a jaywalker but a webfoot now!! :P
See y'all later ...
I'm really looking forward to this little trip to Calgary. It will be so nice to travel with Judy and Norm and see things we've never seen. I'm so happy that I have a special friend coming to stay in the house and feed Geordie and Lauren too. I don't know what I would do if this wasn't the arrangement.

DOES JESUS CARE? (http://members.rogers.com/scott4275/sounds/doesjeca.mid)
(Click to hear music)
Does Jesus care when my heart is pained
Too deeply for mirth or song,
As the burdens press, and the cares distress
And the way grows weary and long?
Refrain
Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares,
His heart is touched with my grief;
When the days are weary, the long nights dreary,
I know my Savior cares.
Does Jesus care when my way is dark
With a nameless dread and fear?
As the daylight fades into deep night shades,
Does He care enough to be near?
Refrain
Does Jesus care when I've tried and failed
To resist some temptation strong;
When for my deep grief there is no relief,
Though my tears flow all the night long?
Refrain
Does Jesus care when I've said "goodbye"
To the dearest on earth to me,
And my sad heart aches till it nearly breaks,
Is it aught to Him? Does He see?
Refrain

Yes, its very close to the time, Pat., but Dr. Johnson said I'll be able to see that much better...
And that sure was a rain! I got caught...came home soaked! My umbrella was in the trunk(naturally...lol(
Well, I was in the middle of a conversation on MSN with Janet and there was such a loud crack of thunder and all my lights blinked and of course, my computer flashed as well and I had to re-boot but I waited till it passed over.
Yep! That's where my umbrellas are too most of the time--in the trunk!
That was a wonderful day of rain. I was out running around in it. It wasn't really lightening, just thundering, so I was out running in it, I love the rain.
Etta Sue: Thanks - I am glad to be home and back to the routine. I just know that you will be having a wonderful visit with so many in Calgary - sorry that we cannot find a Chinese buffet together.
Papa John: I have not read back in all the posts - best wishes to you in whatever surgery you are facing.
Pat Scott: You must be so excited about visiting with Judy and Norm all the way out to Calgary. What fun for all of you!
I have a new refrigerator magnet someone handed to me on the 4th. of July - it says "LORD by your wise guiding, teach us to share".

Shucks! It's so late and I don't have any birthday or anniversary "cards" ready - and the day's almost over anyway, so I'll have to just say I hope JudyB has had a wonderful birthday and Paulette and Dan have enjoyed the best anniversary yet!
Well, it's that time again...time to lock the door and open another for you all.
