How To Have God's Divine Protection
Psalm 91:1-16 says...
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Morning Devotional...For Thy name's sake lead me, and guide me?Psalm 31:3
A 24-year old evangelist, Howell Harris, stirred the land of Wales with fervent preaching.
A young man studying for a medical profession heard him and it changed the course of his life.
William Williams dedicated his life to the Christian ministry and traveled 100,000 miles on horseback proclaiming the gospel and the riches of divine provision.
How about our dedication? Are we willing to go next door with a witness, visit a rest home or share with a poor family?
Our Master has called us to serve. Maybe today we will hear that still small voice saying, "Go."

Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah (http://www.christianphotographers.com/sounds/cwmrhondda.mp3)
(Click to hear music)
Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
Psalm 73:24
Guide me, O Thou great Jehovah,
Pilgrim thro' this barren land;
I am weak, but Thou art mighty;
Hold me with Thy pow'rful hand;
Bread of heaven, Bread of heaven,
Feed me till I want no more,
Feed me till I want no more.
Open now the crystal fountain,
Whence the healing stream doth flow;
Let the fire and cloudy pillar
Lead me all my journey through;
Strong Deliv'rer, strong Deliv'rer,
Be Thou still my strength and shield,
Be Thou still my strength and shield.
When I tread the verge of Jordan,
Bid my anxious fears subside;
Death of death, and hell's destruction,
Land me safe on Canaan's side;
Songs of praises, songs of praises
I will ever give to Thee,
I will ever give to Thee.

HYMN HISTORY:
Each of the individual countries which go to make up these beautiful British Isles has its own personal sense of national pride.
For example, Scotland, with its majestic hills and heather, its lochs and streams and its tumbling waterfalls can be excused a certain justifiable self esteem in being called, 'The land of the mountain and the flood.'
The others, too, have their own very good reasons for this strong national pride.
I don't have time to more than mention 'Merrie England,' or my own native 'Land of saints and scholars,' although a lot could be said about both. I do want to talk about Wales, however, for that's where this hymn story takes place.
Wales is, traditionally, the land of song; and the Welsh people may well be the most enthusiastic singers in all the world. In Wales, everybody loves to sing and they sing just about everywhere.
It was always the custom for the men to sing on their way to the coalmines, although that's not done so much today. But the powerful and melodious strains of their singing still fill the air at rugby matches and other great outdoor events.
Choirs abound in every town and village and their music is popular with audiences everywhere. Wales, too, has given the world of professional singing more than its quota of national and international artistes.
In the last couple of centuries a number of great spiritual revivals have swept the land, and during these, music and singing played a major part.
Several times during those revival services the sermon was interrupted by the spontaneous outburst of congregational singing; and this was often used by the Holy Spirit to move hearts to repentance and faith in Christ Jesus.
However, not only has Wales given us singers and singing in abundance, it has also produced its fair share of hymn writers too.
One such was William Williams, a lay-preacher, who lived towards the end of the eighteenth century. At first he studied as a medical student but then decided to enter the ministry of the Church of England. However this didn't work out so he switched to open-air preaching in his native Wales.
Williams was a tireless servant of the Lord, and during the forty years of his ministry he travelled almost 100,000 miles, on foot and on horseback, preaching and singing wherever he went.
He wrote over 800 hymns, of which by far the best known is "Guide Me O Thou Great Jehovah".
This hymn, written originally in Welsh and translated by Peter Williams, recalls some of the most trying incidents which took place during the forty year journey of the Israelites, from the bondage of Egypt, to the promised land, Canaan.
What an example to us! We too, are pilgrims, on the journey from the cradle to the grave and ultimately, to eternity. Many times our lives seem like a wilderness - 'a barren land' - as the hymn writer puts it. It is then that we must call upon the Lord to sustain us by His powerful hand.
The entire hymn is an account of God's gracious, plenteous provision for His people, at every stage of life. Surely this is one of the sources of Christian joy; to know God is with us each moment, guiding, protecting, providing.
As a result we can join with our brothers in Christ, not only in Wales, but all around the world to lift up that marvellous tune, 'Cwm Rhondda,' and say...
Guide me, O thou great Jehovah,
Pilgrim through this barren land;
I am weak, but thou art mighty;
Hold me with thy powerful hand:
Bread of heaven, bread of heaven,
Feed me till I want no more.
JEREMIAH 7 : 5-7 NIV
If you really change you ways and
your actions and deal with each other justly,
if you do not oppress the alien, the fatherless
or the window and do not shed innocent blood
in this place, and if you do not follow other gods to
your own harm, then I will let you live you live
in this place, in the land I gave your forefathers
for ever and ever.
What is the true measure of our character?
Certainly it is not merely how we act "at church."
The real test of our character, our godliness, is our
partnership with Him in His work of redeeming
the lost, forgotten, downtrodden, and broken.
When we live only for ourselves, when the"have-nots" are left so far behind, a culture collapses upon itself
because it lacks the heart of God, and people become
jealous and resentful of one another.
Prayer...
Loving God, Almighty
and Sovereign Lord,
please forgive us and use
Your children to heal our land,
Father,i especially pray that You will use me
to be a blessing to someone who has
no one to whom he or she can turn
in times of crisis.
In Jesus name i pray. AMEN.
PHIL WARE.

The fireworks weren't as awesome as last year, but they were pretty. I got a few shots I will have to show you all.
We are going to be
interviewed today at 10:30 by the sports editer about
our family playing disc golf. Should be interesting. ::) ;D

I have a friend I will be sending this photo to - he's a photography hobbyist (his wife and he are on vacation and I'm using their computer right now - will be house sitting for 3 weeks) and I would imagine it will interest him.
Their house is only about 4 miles from work, so it will be easy to get back and forth.
Y'all have a wonderful day. I'm thankful for the time for stress reduction.
The celebrations last evening were wonderful - so inspiring.

Larry, I love the Garden of the Gods. I went before I was a Christian and thought it was going to be biblical. Just beautiful scenery. And the Royal Gorge is fantastic.

Thanks,
Etta Sue! It doesn't take long to set up the background and take a few portraits of
Chandraya, Troy and Zachery, but it does take long to photograph
Lila Mae. She doesn't like to get her picture taken. :-\ I did get one shot of her smiling and that is because daddy walked by the front window and she said, "Daddy's home!" Here is a picture of her smiling.

The dance costume
Lila Mae has on was actually less expensive than the ones I buy through the dance center. $20.00 at walmart and well made.
Lila Mae is going to be dancing at the summer blast workshop this summer with
Chandraya. Her first time! Wooohooo...
Thanks, Marilyn!
Congratulations Sonja and Diana for your well deserved awards.
We really enjoyed our service last night and the fire works.
Right now we have sunshine but looks like clouds on the way.
Matt 5:44-45 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Ladybug - Matthew 5:43-48:
You have heard that it was said, You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes the sun rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collecors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? So not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect."[/color]

Yuh done GOOD!! ;D ;D
Congratulations to both of you girls on your photo wins! Great work!
Soni, I would love to have a similar shot of Abby from which to paint a portrait! Wish I were half as good a photographer as you!
I think we are going to work on cutting down and cutting up a bunch of ugly, scraggly Russian olive trees today. Hard work, and they have those awful thorns that cut and scratch you, too. But we need to get rid of them. :-\
Anyway, good to see all of you today, and I will likely be back later.
I am so sorry for the suffering and illnesses so many of you are experiencing. I pray you will feel the awesome presence of the Great Physician in your lives and circumstances. He is our PEACE and an ever present help in trouble.
Thanks PAT. I read the article about this dear little boy. :'(
I had no plans to go any place yesterday. It just doesn't appeal to me to go by myself so I settled down to watch television. I ended up seeing some of the most awesome displays of fireworks ever!! I watched the MACY'S Fireworks Spectacular ... then the one in BOSTON and then Washington D.C. It was far better than if I'd tried to find a parking place and a spot in the crowds to watch anything locally.
RIA~I am so negligent in letting you know how much your daily posts and devotionals mean to me. Always right on the spot for the moment. Love the poems!
PAT~Your messages to start off the day in NEM are really appreciated. I know this is a work of love for you but I also know it is a lot of work ... Bless you for your heart of love and servant spirit.
Thanks so much for that, Jane. I appreciate your kind words.
Good morning!
Congratulations Sonya and Diane!!!
We're leaving tomorrow for North Dakota, won't be back until July 14 or 15.
Take care all.
Ursula

Here's a question for you all...
WHAT DO YOU CARRY IN YOUR CAMERA BAG? (http://christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=3030.0)
Click on that and tell us...
Hi everyone. I snuck away from Jason my dh for a few minutes to thank you for your prayers.
I'm so tired of being babysat. LOL. So sorry for my absence
I just got released from the hospital yesterday after a 3 day stay due to a spinal tap that didn't go as planned. The doctor wanted 15 cc of fluid and then i got sick during the spinal. They hit 6 nerves and it made me just get so hot and burn that I couldn't stand it. Now I can't shake the feeling all the time and it's no fun. I wasn't able to go home
The procedure lasted longer than it was supposed to and they couldn't get enough spinal fluid for them to get it out so they had to force it. I was doing well after it was over but had a slight headache. I made the mistake of telling the nurse and then not being able to get out of bed and being nauseated when I got up didn't help. So they made me stay in a formal hospital room overnight so I thought.
I still had the headache the 2nd day they did nothing but give me Loratab then make me lie flat. Finally they got my doctor to do something on the mid of the 2nd day. He gave me 300 something of morphine. But my veins couldn't handle it that fast and my arm blew up and my arm was as big as an orange. They stopped it really fast and then got it to go in the other arm. They left it go in slower and i got to rest. I still couldn't get up and around and was very unsteady. So they made me stay a third day. Finally they left me go home but I have to have 24 hour round the clock care and have to use a walker to get around.
I am going to try and get a hold of my neurologist tomorrow to see if he can shed some light on what happened. He was out of town when all this happened.
Thank you for your prayers and I will try and be more faithful.
Congratulations to all contest winners and Welcome new members.
Hugs,
Shawnee
Shawnee - what a difficult time you've been having! My prayers are for health for you, endurance and patience and love and helpfulness for your family, and wisdom from God Himself for those who work with you in your treatment.
Ruth Ann
Shawnee, it's so good to hear from you. I'm sorry though about what you've been going through. We'll continue to pray for you girl!
Keep checking in.
I think we should sing, don't you?

Hello all:
One of my jobs was that of general tidy up, oh my how the table tops catch all the clutter.
Later on Mel and I went out to the flower garden and put down bait for the bugs that are having some of my plants for dinner. Now it is a wait and see what happens.
Soon I will be having green beans and tomatoes from the garden yummy.
Ruth
Sorry I haven't been around the last few days. :(
I've been on the computer so much with Town and Village projects that I just haven't been able to enjoy "fun time". Both the Town and Village have issued new laws and that means extra work for me. (Not complaining - it helps the budget!!!)
For the Village I keep the printed book up to date and for the Town I keep the website current. The printed one means adding sections, paragraphs, etc. and repaginating, then printing 30 copies of any two-sided page that changes, cutting all the pages to size and punching 5 holes in them all.
For the website it means adding sections (this time one was altogether new and was 80 printed pages) with Front Page. >:( I always need to go in and edit the code so it comes out looking the way it's supposed to. It was much easier to do it myself but they want me to use Front Page - so they just have to pay for the additional time it takes to get it right. ;D
Thanks for the devotional, Pat. Also to Ria for your lovely, encouraging posts.
I decided to take advantage of the sunny day and finally paint the older rabbit hutch for Amanda. Gad! What an unpleasant job as it messy at the back and on a hill. Had to get Duster a carrot as he kept trying to supervise the operation and I was scared he would end up with a green nose. The other two ignored me...This is my last time to paint the thing as my body hurts!
Met many interesting bugs while painting. Couldn't take pictures tho' and not certain I want to remember most of them.
Went outside to sit on the lovely patio and read the paper. The neighbour decided to use a noisy lawnmower and Squeek sat at the door meowing like mad, wanting attention and hoping to escape outside. Finally gave up and came in to the computer. At least it is quiet...
What games do ants play with elephants?
SQUASH!
Pleasant dreams all and God Bless.

Dear Shawnee, you certainly have been through a lot of problems. I hope your neurologist can come up with an answer. In the mean time we will be praying for you to get back to normal. God loves you.
I have been tired and so not posting early. Pat thank you for that great song about the name of Jesus. Hope you have a good day tomorrow.
Love Ruthie
Time to lock the door!
