Morning Devotional...In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:1
Parents! Install into th eminds of your little ones the truth concerning creation, that the Lord gives us in His Word.
They shall be taught otherwise in school.
What a paradox that as man has learned more and more concerning the wonders associated with nature--the desert, the oceans, the heavens, and the forest--the less he is willing to acknowledge God's hand in any of it.
Honor the Lord and tell your children of God, the great Poet-Creator.
~E. MacLelland
All things bright and Beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful--
The Lord God made them all.

Looks like I'm the first one up this morning. Haha,,, truth is., its nearly 1:AM, and I haven't been to bed yet.
I just wanted to add my comments to the CT article written against Gracia. I heard her interviewed numerous times by Today, CBS, CNN etc and Barbara Walters. Never did she imply that she was angry at NTM,,, quite the opposite.
She speaks well, and is such a testimony for her Lord.
Pat., the poetry you put here really makes me need a box of tissues handy at all times!
Larry., I will pray for you as you make those trips to and through Atlanta.
We have driven through Atlanta several times, on our way to Florida. Its down right scarry, with the traffic the way it is!
Well, I'm off to bed now.

Pat : It is quite amazing how kids when they have been taught the Scriptures from an early age can dismiss scientific theory even although they must learn it in school. I have been truly pleased with the way my kids have responded and come through anti-Christian education.
I think the Religious Education is the worst subject and both kids and parents need to be on their guard against false teaching and indoctrination. I hope it is different over your way.
Al - I'll try and reply the beginning of next week. Your Email came through in 57 pages!!! Obviously my machine does not take kindly to 'replies.' I think it best brother that should you write again, that you start a fresh email. Sorry about that.
Larry - I'm at the market again today and I hope to get a chance to reply next week. Can you explain what EECP is please?
The market was hopeless yesterday. lets hope today is better.
Here are a few thoughts that came to mind this morning:-
I was thinking today on the words, 'be still and know that I am God.'
Being still! Not something that is often asked in our day and age, is it?
Do we know what it means? Often dear brother and sister our lives are non stop, helter skelter, with hardly a moment to draw breath. If that means anything, it means that we have little time for God. Oh I know that we do not mean that to happen, but more often than not, that is the way things seem to pan out.
God is saying to us today, STOP! Just hang on a minute! Can you not give me a little of your time? You are stressed, harassed and worried about umpteen different things, yet if you will only stop, pray and listen to what I have to say then all will be well.
Time spent on our knees is never wasted.
You know my friends if I were to hang all the fleeces that I have put out before the Lord onto a washing line, then it would stretch from here to Oregon and back again!
I am desperate to do God's will in my life and I fear doing the wrong thing and letting Him down. The trouble with my fleeces is that they always come up with the answer I expect!!
O! Me of little faith!!
I must try to practice more of what I preach. Like Spurgeon said, 'I you are going to preach a sermon, then preach it to yourself first!'
Already I have digressed - sorry!
'Be still and know that I am God.'
Christ has the power to make the crooked paths straight, the rough places smooth and the impossible, possible.
Listen to His words to your soul today. Be still and know that I am God. Only then my friend will you know what you can actually accomplish in 24 hours! He loves you more than you know! Trust the Man who died on the cross for you. You could do nothing better.
LOL
Your brother in Christ
Iain
Pat - Thanks for replying on my behalf yesterday and thanks indeed for the timely link to islands of Inspiration as I had just finished the updates! Whew! Go to go. LOL
Iain - Just want you to know how much I appreciate all your posts. :)
I don't always take the time to read everything at the time I post., but I will go back later in the day and "digest" it all. :)
BTW - I've been wondering what your weather is like over there? We have had an abundance or rain. Its supposed to reach 23 deg C today., I'd like to see some sun. Our dear plants will soon be rotting if they don't see some sunshine. :(
Remember the little chorus we sang as kids: "So let the sunshine in, face it with a grin., smilers never lose, frowners never win. etc, etc.
Pat - do you have music for that?. :D..LOL....not likely!
Our Pastor is having a class this afternoon; on how to witness. Both Norm and I are going. I'm especially pleased that Norm wants to go.
There are several classes today.... we take our lunch for noon, then the class is from 1:pm to 3:pm. I think this is a "one time thing", but I'm not sure.
....Judy
On this Fathers Day weekend, I'd like to commend all fathers for their role in the lives of their families and of the community in which they have served.
My Dad was a bivocational minister, as you know, and I highly respct his willingness to sacrifice his time and energies not only to care for us, his family, but also to share his great love for the Lord and for godly endeavours with his parishoners.
I have memories of a beautiful Fathers Day a couple of years back. My daughter called and asked me to have lunch. We went to a great restaurant - quite posh. I was the completely unsuspecting "father."
Wonderful dinner - nice gift - hovering, solicitous staff. Why?
"Well, Mom, since Daddy died when I was a baby, you've been both Mother and Father to me, so I felt I should honor you today on Fathers Day."
Still brings a big lump to my throat, just recalling that wonderful experience.

Hi Everyone!
I'm just rushing around doing a few things I must do before going to the Bridge Opening.
I want to get lots of photos for our Guelph Hiking Trail Club web page. The mayor will be there plus other dignitaries.
Thanks so much for the lovely devotion, Iain. I hope that you earn a few bob today! Maybe you'll be able to check in later on tonight.
Hi Judy! Have a great time at your classes. You'll have to share what you learn with us all in here!
Pat - what does a "few bob " mean that Iain is to do?...LOL :o
Now, Pat.... now that you will be "hobnobbing" with the celebrities, we still want you to associate with "us commoners" here!...hahaha ;D
Haha... Judy, you must have missed the discussion the other day! We were all talking about what the equivalent for that term over here would be and I guess it's just "a few bucks". He's out earning some money today selling his photographs!
Hi Ruth Ann... I think you posted while I was posting.
Good morning everyone..
great devotions from Pat and Iaian again...boy this is just awesome....all the teaching that we get when we come in here.
Judy...alas we are to be getting some sunshine indeed today.....let's see what happens....;)
Pat.....bridgeopening? what have I been missing.?? can;t wait to see those pics that you are going to get.
take care all and have a great weekend....
Paulette.
Good morning everyone. I will be on later to post, I am painting the hall ceiling this morning. Pat, I don't come home every day at lunch, don't usually have the opportunity. But yesterday, I was sent out on deliveries, and I had to put my "professional" clothes on to do so. So I took my lunch break at home. Well, sun is shining, it's time for some music! Jen.
Good morning Pat, Iain, Judy, Ruth Ann, Paulette, Mercychild, etc. Looks like we may have some rain on this Saturday. I thought of the beautiful 8th Psalm, Pat, when I read the devotional for today.
Ps 8:1-9
1 O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.
2 From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.
3 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
4 what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?
5 You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.
6 You made him ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet:
7 all flocks and herds, and the beasts of the field,
8 the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas.
9 O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
(NIV)
--- Papa John ;D <:))))><<
Just rushing in to say I just clicked on the Calendar above and see that it's Jeanne Lee's birthday today!
Thanks so much, Papa John, for those added words. What a powerful Psalm that is! And Al has written a little study on that Psalm too if anyone wants to see it... Psalm 8 (http://www.christianphotographers.com/files/ps8.html)
OK... I'm off to take photos of the new bridge! It's just a foot bridge that is large enough for a rescue truck to go over but an expensive one for sure! ::) :o
Good Morning. Well today I am off to the market to get some stuff for Inez and I to make Apricot Pineapple jam. She has the Apricots to pick off her trees. Also the ususal Saturday chores. So I will be back later on.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEANNE

Jeanne!!!
What a morning so far. So many posts already!!! Thanks to each and everyone of you for your words of wisdom.
I am off to Richmond, IN. That is about half-way to Lydia's house and her mother is meeting us ....of all places, at McDonalds. So Ivalou, Lydia and I are leaving in a few minutes to take her home. I will sure miss the little squirt!!
Iain ~ I know what you mean about everything being hussle bustle. Last weekend when I was at my nieces...it was do this, do that, go here, go there...almost to a frenzy. And it wasn't just because it was a Dance Recital night. That is all the time. Makes you feel like you need an appointment to say 'Hello'. I know it is important to have your kids into different activities but I wonder if it is worth it, if it takes their time away from being in a family. I wonder if they sit down, all six of them, for a family meal. I see her bigger kids competing for parental attention to attend 'their' activities. Baseball, volleyball, dance, girl scouts, boy scouts, color guard, camp, VBS, dance competition...that is only a few things that comes to mind at the moment. Oh, well....kids will grow up in spite of us. But best of all, they do attend church and attend church activities as well.

"When it's all said and done, when all the opinions have been uttered, preached, shouted, and shared, there is only one thing we can do: From this moment on...love."
This quote fits in with Mieka and Papa John today!!!!
Happy Birthday Jeanne Lee!!!!!!
Sonja, that's awesome! Where are you going to have this backdrop? Are you going to have it mobile? Or will it be in your studio? You really are getting to be a "pro"! Quoted by Pat
Pat~I am going to have this backdrop in the garage. It is 7' x 9' . It will break down and I will beable to move it anywhere. I also have it so I can make it different sizes. I got the lights all set up and the backdrop up and ready. I now need to get the backdrop painted...not sure how to do that but will come up with something today. Thanks for reading my posts. It's good to know someone is reading them or I would be posting for nothing. ;D
I had better get reading. Mike and I are going for breakfast by ourselves. :D
I have to take 3 pictures today for the challenges on DPC. <why do I always wait till the last moment>
Have a good day all!!!
Sonja
Hi Etta Sue~how did the dance recital go? Did you get any pictures?
Hi everyone. It is a rather gloomy day outside and more rain is predicted clear through next Friday.
First of all, a big Happy Birthday to Jeanne. Hope you have a nice day of celebration.
Pat, we all will be looking forward to photos from your event today with your Hiking Club. I know this is something you really enjoy.
Ruth Ann, that is very touching that your daughter honored you in that way.
Pat and Iain, fine devotional thoughts today and Papa John, that is a wonderful Psalm. Those words are very familar from the Psalm.
Judy, hope your witnessing class goes well.
Joan, sounds like you had a terrible experience downtown Atlanta. What a sign of our times. Sort of ruins your day out.
Sonja, it sounds like you are getting a very nice setup for your photography. Hope you enjoy your morning out with your husband.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEANNE LEE!!
Hello everyone!! Happy Flag day to those of you in hte US! I'll be back later, maybe!!!!
Well, I'm home from our event. Geordie enjoyed going into the water of Hopewell Creek! He doesn't stay wet long so I got that over at the beginning and then shortened his leash! ::)
It's so nice to see all the posts. Boy, Sonja, it sounds as if you really are going to have a great set up. Any chance of taking a photo of it for us?
Oops! Phone's ringing...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEANNE LEE !

Judy - I'm glad you enjoy the devotionals. Regarding the weather, well let me put it this way. If it is not raining then it's going to! We can have all four seasons here in the one day!
If we reach 23 degrees this year at any time then you'll hear me singing over in Ontario!
Marilyn would have a job finding any apricots to pick over here! We cannot grow any real fruit over here unless it's under shelter or glass.
Our vegetables are second to none though! I had a good day selling 13 photographs with seven of them going to Australia and 2 to Wales! My sunrises went down a treat but the Ozzie's preferred the stormy waves!
We had a lovely garden in Northern Ireland. We just couldn't get it to stop growing due to the rain, rain and more rain!(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fsmilies.sofrayt.com%2F%255E%2Fu%2Fbigflower.gif&hash=64eb57ef9294c558d7205f7761e613c407616111)
Glad you sold some, Iain. So you made a few bob!!! (https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fsmilies.sofrayt.com%2F%255E%2F8%2Fawink.gif&hash=47fb411d0a445629737b29831cece8803eadb14b)
Pat - The weather in Northern Ireland is just the same weather that we get only an hour sooner!! Tee Hee!!
LOL
Hope you all have a blessed Sabbath. Rest and abide in Him.
I have heard that it's better late than never. I hope it's true.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEANNE!!!!!!

By the way, Jeanne - this is not a Presbyterian wish - this is all-out non-conservative (Baptist, Pentacostal, etc.)!
Hope I'm getting here in time to wish Jeanne a very Happy Birthday! Tell us how you spent your day Jeanne.
Our witnessing seminar was terrific. The class was "amazed, I was thrilled", to hear Norm practice his witnessing to another class mate. The Pastor listened in from another room as we practicied (we didn't know he could hear and see what we were doing). He came back and said, "Norm Nailed it". We all laughed at that expression.
It will be good to share my faith on a "real candidate", hope you all know what I mean.
Gorgeous weather here today... at last it reached 27 deg C.... whew!., at long last its summer here in Guelph!
Pat, sounds like you and Geordie had a good time. I like your flower pot smiley!
Sonja, you are really getting your studio set up. Hope you get your 3 pictures today and had a great time out with hubby. The dance recital was great. But I am not happy with the pictures. Too far away, couldn't use flash, etc.
Karma, I like your WOO smiley!
Iain, really? Is it below freezing year round there? Hmmmm! And I thought our 70°F was cool for summer. Maybe you mean 23°C. That would be better. :-\
We got Lydia to Richmond so she could go with her mother. Lydia is a very smart little girl but she doesn't get time. When you say you are going to do something she thinks it is NOW! All the way there, it was 'Are we at McDonalds yet? When are we going to get there? It will be closed if we don't hurry? Mommy won't know where we are if it is closed.' A little worry wart... ::)
She wanted Ivalou to play a game with her. Ivalou told her she didn't want to play a game. Lydia started whining...'But it is a game for two people and I am only one people! I need you to play with me!' Guess who played with her? ??? ??? ??? She will miss Grandma!!! ::)
I pray that everyone has a great Father's Day and God's Day tomorrow.
Al: Baptist Pentecostal ??? ??? Isn't that Bapticostal. ;D ;D ;D ;D You? :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\
LOL
Jeanne i know I already said Happy Birthday buuuuut
HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Well, I've cut half the lawn. That's all I could do! I got too tired.(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fsmilies.sofrayt.com%2F%255E%2Fl0%2Fredeyes.gif&hash=42d4d1dcec675d8fe763ff8cd22dd5f30fbd2650)
No, it's not freezing all year on the Isle of Lewis,
Etta Sue, but it's not hot enough for fruit to grow but root veggies do great. Tomatoes over in N. Ireland are never grown out in the garden but always in a greenhouse. Corn just doesn't grow at all. Not enough heat.
Well,
Jeanne, where are you? I thought we'd have a party tonight!

Well, since Jeanne is out celebrating, it gives me a moment to wish her happy birthday too!
Y'all have a good evening.
Ruth Ann
How great it is to come here and find all the birthday greetings! I feel so blessed to be able to count all of you as my dear friends! ;D
:-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*
I've had a lovely day, quietly at home. After working full time all week that really feels good! So good, in fact, that when Gene took a friend to visit his wife in the hospital I sat down and fell sound asleep. :o
This lovely lady was rushed to the emergency room on Thursday and is in intensive care with congestive heart failure and pneumonia, plus she is diabetic and had a toe amputated just a week ago. To top it all off, yesterday was their anniversary - #66!!! I don't imagine Gene and I will reach that plateau, since we'll be celebrating #14 this year. ;D
Well I just got that dreaded phone call that the landlords are one there way here, should be here in about an hour. Pray please.
I don't know if they got the letter yet or not, it didn't go out until yesterday. My son is really upset with them and told me to call the sheriff if they stared anything with me again. Kinda late for that thought, iI am outta here in 27 more days. Two more weeks of work and then it rest of the packing.
Good ight all.
Marilyn: I guess we were very lucky as we never seen or heard from our landlords. Now we are are our own landlord. That too can have its problems we have to pay for our own repairs.
Bed time so nit nit to all
Ruth
It's time to focus on the Lord's Day. Let's refresh our memories about what He did for us on the cruel cross of Calvary.
Let's worship Him this morning...
