Service is the overflow of superabounding devotion.
~Oswald Chambers~
Psalm 63:3-5 says...
Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
Psalm 149:1-6 says...
Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.
Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.
For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.
Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.
Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;

Morning Devotional...And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.[/i]
Matthew 17:8
Thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for Me and thee.
Matthew 17:27
"Jesus only"!
Divine isolation is rightfully His.
Moses, outstanding law-giver, and Elijah, distinguished prophet, are totally eclipsed!
Our Lord stands above all in solitary greatness. Yet see how He deigns to link Himself with a failing mortal like Peter. "Give it to them for Me and thee"!
In no other is such heavenly isolation and such gracious association so wonderfully displayed.
--G. HallO fix our earnest gaze
so wholly, Lord, on Thee,
That with Thy beauty occupied,
we no one else may see.

Finally sat down to read the posts and have arrived at a new day...Thank you for the devotionals Pat. Also to Ria and Sonja for the lovely hymn.
I went to Farmers Market with Wendy this morning. Took a couple of pictures early in the morning and will attempt to post in a bit. This lot is one-half acre in size, so many things to capture with the camera. Then went and played some 3Par golf while Wendy was at physio therapy. Mostly turned out 4Par...did have a couple of three's. Next finished the painting of those horrid metal things for planters. One more touch-up to go and done!!!! ;D
Judy McK., you three would make an interesting picture. Three generations, totally in sync. ;)
Since things were slow, will post another little joke:
Willy had been misbehaving and was sent to his room. After a while he emerged and informed his mother that he thought it over and then said a prayer.
"Fine," said the pleased mother. "If you ask God to help you not misbehave, He will help you."
"Oh, I didn't ask Him to help me not misbehave," said Willy. "I asked Him to help you put up with me."
Well, it has been a long day! Thanks for your help with the photo-site Pat. Would not be this brave without your encouragement.
Pleasant dreams all. God Bless.

MARK 9 : 29 NLT
Jesus replied, "This kind can be cast out only
by prayer."
So often the reason God's people don't do what they
are capable of doing for the Kindom of God is
because they don't pray.
We must rededicate ourselves to prayer.
We must return to prayer to ask for God's help,
power, mercy, grace and might.
We must also return to prayer to humble
ourselves before the mighty hand of God
so that He will lift us up.
We must return to prayer to re-awaken
us to the mighty acts that God has already
done for us and give Him the thanks and
praise due His name.
Great things for God can be done consistently
and effectively only when God's people pray.
Prayer...
Forgive my silence and my sense
of self-sufficiency O God.
I know that without Your mercy,
power, and grace, i will fail.
Please accept my humble cries
for Your forgiveness an my passionate
pleas for your mercy, Your grace,
Your strength, and Your direction.
In Jesus name. AMEN.

Philippians 4 : 8
Whatever is true, whatever is noble,
whatever is right, whatever is pure,
whatever is admirable - if anything
is excellent of praiseworthy -
think about such things.
PART OF THE MIRACLE
Think of a rainbow,
and storm clouds won't hide
the afternoon sun from your view.
Think of a rose,
and you won't mind the thorns -
they"re a part of the miracle, too.
Love and prayerfully for you all

Good morning. I have some prints to get ready today and put up on my website.
Thanks Ria and Pat for the wonderful devotions.
Happy Birthday, Hayley]/b]!
Be back later!
As I check out my messages, there are notes taped to this wall from granddaughter - they both say "God Bless Grandpa & Grandma" - we just love the sweet words from a 7 year old. :) It really comes from her heart.
Pat: Thanks ever so much again for devotions.
Carol
Good morning. Good to see each one today.
Our daily Bible reading for today includes the 89th Psalm. I like the optimism of the first few verses.
Ps 89:1-2 I will sing of the LORD's great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations. I will declare that your love stands firm forever, that you established your faithfulness in heaven itself. (NIV)
With all the gloom and doom we seem to see all around us we need to keep the love of God in our hearts each day. Regardless of circumstances if we keep our faith in the Lord we have reason to rejoice.
Have a good day!

Dear Marilyn i keep Victor Oliver now in my prayers
May God give Him Power and Bless him

Welcome to Christian Photographers Mawhaley1
I don't have a lot of time here this morning before I go to work. But I do want to say thank you to Pat and Ria for the devotionals and say hello to all who will enter into our blessed house today.
May the lord bless each and everyone who reads the messages posted here today and prays for the posted prayer requests. You will be greatly blessed.

Good morning, folks!
Happy Birthday Hayley!
Welcome mawhaley1!
Liz, nice joke. Kids have a way with words - it can drive you crazy sometimes.
Well, off to work. I'm finding it harder and harder to concentrate on my work lately. Take care all,
Ursula
A strange woman showed up at my door last night.
I suppose it was a mistake, letting her in like I did, but she looked lonely and sad. Against my better judgment, and especially since she was very attractive, I opened the door.
She was very helpful while we waited for Karma to come home. She even gave me a hug and told me good night, and then she disappeared.
When I went to bed, Karma was there. I don't know when she came in or why I didn't notice. Perhaps the strange woman let her in.
Strange things happening in Canton, I say.
Karma has a new haircut. :) :) :)
Gotcha ;D
Nards,
That isn't fair. I was so worried about you until I read post number 2. Ha!
Papa John
Hi everyone.
Nards, I thought that was the strangest posting I had ever read until I read the one following and then understood. Shame on you! ;D
Marilyn, I am sure it will be a relief to Victor Oliver's parents, as well as himself, to have some resolution to this situation. Hope the truth will be seen in his court appearance.
Happy Birthday Hayley.
Welcome to mawhaley1.
Ria, it sounds like you all are working too hard over your way. Don't forget to take time to "smell the roses". Thanks for the devotional thoughts.
Pat, another fine devotional message this morning. Hope you were able to get a good nights sleep.
Liz, that farmer's market sounds great. Is it actually run by the local famers?
Rachelle, can you tell us a bit about your new business venture or is it too early to discuss it. Hope your family enjoyed their outing and that Zachery was able to go with the family.
Carol, those special notes from grandchildren are very precious.
Hi Mieka, hope you will be able to look in and post today. Know you are glad to be back in San Diego.
Judy, enough with the broken bones. My, it sounds like your family is having more than its fair share of broken bones.
Eddie, watch using that ladder. Congratulations on your Detroit Pistons winning the NBA title.
A special hi to all of you who have posted and to whom I haven't commented. Think this is getting long enough for one day. Pat and I are going to a new seafood place with friends this evening. We went there Sunday and it was very good.

You did, you got me good. I had to read your post about 4 times hoping each time I would find some clue of it being a joke.
Let's see some pictures.

I won't see her again until probably around 9:30 or 10 tonight, and I'm not sure if she'll let me take pictures, but I'll try.
Sorry to mess with y'all so much. I would have felt really bad if Papa John or Larry reported heart trouble... I gotta see if Marilyn goes for it, especially with her recent dilemma... She may beat me with a wet noodle.
It really was a rather shocking thing. I knew she was going to the stylist, but the highlights got me. It does look really good, just... really different
Travis was asleep, but he didn't appear to notice it this morning when he woke up.
I just realized that's a fib... I will see her before then but prolly won't have a chance to take pix.
Let's sing!

AMAZING GRACE (http://www.christianphotographers.com/sounds/amazinggrace.mid)
(Click title to hear music)
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.
Through many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
'Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.
The Lord has promised good to me,
His Word my hope secures;
He will my Shield and Portion be,
As long as life endures.
Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess, within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, Who called me here below,
Shall be forever mine.
When we've been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we'd first begun.

Marilyn ~ I forgot to comment on your 'friends' request for you to drive many miles in the middle of the night just to take him somewhere. No way! You made the correct choice. I have driven late at night but it was my choice, not someone calling me in the spur of the moment just asking for a favor. Emergencies are one thing but being taken advantage of is something different.
Larry ~ I knew someone would know the 'CUT' shortcut. Duh, why didn't know remember to look under Edit? That looks like a neat website to visit come winter when one has more indoor time on their hands. And FREE lessons, too!
Carol ~ Cloudy and damp days are too frequent here. At least, no tornadoes in the immediate area to me. But it is soooooo humid. When you open an outside door, it feels like a hot oven. If you are out very long, it feels like you have taken a shower with your clothes on. Hot and humid!!!
Nards ~ I keep seeing if you have changed your profile picture. I guess I will have to get in my car and come take a picture of you. Don't you know anyone that can take a picture of you so we can see your handsome face?
Sonja ~ I know the feeling (being busy). I usually get in here first thing after my Bible reading in the morning. I am a little late today. Busy, busy, busy!
Mieka ~ It sure makes my heart smile when I see you posting. Your posts are filled with love...I can feel the love you send to everyone. You certainly are missed when you are away. I am so glad you have some time to spend with us now. Tell your Papa hello from your CP friends.
Pat ~ Sometimes traveling wears a person out. Especially if you are going somewhere that you 'hurry up and wait' all the time. That sitting around waiting for something to happen is frustrating. I pray you got a great night's rest.
Judy Mc ~ I have never had a broken bone and I hope I don't. I forgot to tell you that Ivalou's granddaughter is getting married and her fiance's last name is McKenna!
Al ~ Good to see you. I am sure you are keeping busy out there in California.
Ruth ~ Hello to you, too. When will Sue be back from vacation? If I heard where she was going, I forgot. Where was she going?
Ursula ~ Yes, we need pictures of that shade of green. How will we ever know the shade you are talking about without pictures? Hint! Hint!
Ruthie ~ Please send that wonderful weather south. We are having so much rain, it smells damp and like fishing worms when you go outside. Yuck!
Fast Eddie ~ Yes, ladders are for the young at heart and body! I don't even like going down my basement steps. If I fall in this house, I just know it will be down my basement steps. And if I do, it will be my entrance into a hospital or heaven.
Ruth Ann ~ I have been retired since the age of 51. I can't imagine my body getting out to a job every day. I tell myself that if there is 3 things that I have to do when I wake in the morning, it is a busy day. Lucky for me, most of my days are not busy. At least, I have days that are not quite so busy.
Liz ~ Sounds like you are keeping busy. Looking forward in seeing your pictures. Funny joke. Kids!!
Rachelle ~ Hmmm! a Website business.? Sounds interesting. Hopefully when you get the business up and going, you will post a link. Perhaps we might be interested in your service or whatever.
Ria ~ Wonderful devotions. Prayer is a powerful thing. I love being quiet and talking to God.
Jane ~ Hi there! Are you coming to Indiana to your family reunion this year? Hunh? Hunh?
Papa John ~ Psalm 89:1-2 is absolutely right on. We all become sad and depressed at times, but if we would just think of what Christ did for us, we should only feel love.
Marilyn ~ Justice is very unjustice at times. Your friend is in my prayers.
Nards ~ You silly guy! But won't it be wonderful getting acquainted with this new woman??? We need pictures!!!!
Whew! Busy day. Like I say, it has been raining so much here and all of central Indiana has been under flood watch. So when I woke up this morning and the sun was shining...well, you know the old saying...Make hay while the sun shines? Well, it is 'Mow lawn while the sun shines' in Indiana at the present time. So Ivalou and I both are out mowing the lawns. Both of us had areas where we couldn't mow because of water standing but we did get the rest done. I used the weed eater also. So I asked her if she wanted to come over for lunch...I had fixed Cornbread Salad and Cherry Salad yesterday and both is way to much for me to eat in a few days. (I knew we were both stinky but figured it was like when two people both eat onions...you don't smell the other person that way) So she came over and had lunch. I went back out and sprayed Round Up and then came in to shower. I am bushed. Now it is cloudy again and suppose to rain some more..... :'( :'(
Also Jerry talked to me on IM this morning. I missed him yesterday. So I got online early to let him know I was going to mow.
JERRY HAS SHINGLES. I don't know what all that means. My husband and my Mom both had shingles and they hardly knew what was wrong. But my Dad had shingles and he hurt for weeks. So I don't know. But say a prayer or two that Jerry has a light case of shingles.[/b]

Sorry to hear about Jerry having shingles. I have never had them but I understand they can be quite painful. Give him our love and that we will be thinking of him.

Worship: Discharging Our Obligation
..Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all
goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable
to the Lord.
--Ephesians 5:8-10
I have to be faithful to what I know to be true, so I must tell you
that if you will not worship God seven days a week, you do not
worship Him on one day a week....
Too many of us try to discharge our obligations to God Almighty in
one day--usually one trip to church. Sometimes, nobly, we make it
two trips to church, but it's all on the same day when we have
nothing else to do--and that's supposed to be worship. I grant
you, sir, that it can be true worship, provided that on Monday and
Tuesday and the other days you also experience the blessings of
true worship.
I do not say that you must be at church all of the time--how could
you be?
You can worship God at your desk, on an elevated train, or driving
in traffic. You can worship God washing dishes or ironing clothes.
You can worship God in school, on the basketball court. You can
worship God in whatever is legitimate and right and good....
So that's all right. We can go to church and worship. But if we go
to church and worship one day, it is not true worship unless it is
followed by continuing worship in the days that follow. The Tozer
Pulpit, Volume 1, 51-52.
"Father, I pray that today You might give me a sense of Your
presence wherever I am, in whatever I'm doing. Direct my heart to
worship You throughout the day. Be pleased and accept that worship
as a genuine expression of my heartfelt gratitude and awe. Amen."

WHAT A FRIEND (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/TheRose.mid)
(Click to hear music)
Tune: The Rose
Traditional Tune: Charles C. Converse, 1832-1918 (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/whatafriendwehave.mpga)
What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.
Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged; take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness; take it to the Lord in prayer.
Are we weak and heavy laden, cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge, take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do your friends despise, forsake you? Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He'll take and shield you; you will find a solace there.
Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised Thou wilt all our burdens bear
May we ever, Lord, be bringing all to Thee in earnest prayer.
Soon in glory bright unclouded there will be no need for prayer
Rapture, praise and endless worship will be our sweet portion there.

Pat the answer would be 3 Iron and Clay
Ok Nards You nut, you got me too. I sat here re-reading it and thinking ooooooh-eeeee Nards is in trouble.I wonder what Karma said to him. Then I read the next post.
Home from work now, had a nice hot cup of Jasmine Tea and ate a few veggies. Tomato, shallots, and beets mixed up in a bowl. While I was eating that i also fried up some eggplant, put some in a bowl and poured on the Louisana hot sauce and ate that. Still hungry will eat more eggplant.
Thank you all for praying for Victor this case has gone on so long. I will let you know how it all turns out.

Ursula, if you haven't re-registered at Photo-Sense in the past week, please do.
Just use your own User Name and a password that you'll remember and your current email address since due to a huge security hole, Neil had to start it over again and everyone has to re-register.
Father I pray You'll cause that case of shingle to be very, very light indeed for Jerry, and I pray You'll heal him quickly through the work of our Lord Jesus.
I had a Stress Echo Test today (it's an EKG while running on a treadmill to get the heart rate up.) It turned our extremely well - heart looks like that of a much younger man he said. So that obviously isn't the cause of the leg edema.
I'm so sorry about Jerry's singles. Please keep us posted, Etta Sue...
Al, I'm happy to hear the results of your test today. Wow! How could you run with that cellulitis in your legs?
Thank you, Pat, no wonder I couldn't get anything to work.

Just use your own User Name and a password that you'll remember and your current email address since due to a huge security hole, Neil had to start it over again and everyone has to re-register.
Our fourth child, Laura, who is 17, just went on her first ever date this evening. I always thought of her as my "baby", as she was just that, my baby for 8 years until Ximena, our youngest, was born. It feels so funny to have her go out like that. But I had fun watching them. The boy drove up, she walked down the steps, he got out of the car and pulled a bunch of pink flowers out and gave it to her, kind of akward like, kind of like he were saying, "There, here it is." She more or less grabbed them (nicely), but in that akward manner that young people sometimes have. It was fun to watch.
I thank God for cellphones. They provide a lot of security at times :)

I'm so sorry about Jerry's singles. Please keep us posted, Etta Sue...
I bet he wishes they were singles!!! :)
Hehe. Travis did notice the haircut by the way. He said, "Ew didn't tell her to not cut it short?" He thought it was "purty." I let nard take a picture, but it isn't very good. Of course, the picture is fine. It's the subject that is suffering.
I'm whupped. Night all.

HAHAHAHA! Sorry about that, Jerry. "SHINGLES" is what I meant. Thanks Ursula for noticing.
Now, I'm suffering from a silly headache tonight so I'm starting the new topic very early.
Please just keep on chatting.
