What The Blood Of Jesus Is To You
Matthew 26:28 says...
For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins..Romans 3:24-26 says...
Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus..

Morning Devotional...For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Cor. 5:21
The year 2002 was the first without my husband.
The above verse was special to him.
As a family we reminisced how he regularly arose early to spend time in the Scriptures and in prayer. As the one closest to him, I can say he lived to honor the Lord, to exalt his Saviour.
And this is what he desired to pass on. We will all leave some kind of legacy. What will it be?
What counts in the end will not be Grandma's favorite plate or the antique table--but the way we lived.
A gift received at our wedding 61 years ago stated, "Only one life, 'twill soon be past; Only what's done for Christ will last."
--E. DyckOne more day's work for Jesus;
one less of life for me!
But heaven is nearer
and Christ is dearer
than yesterday to me.

Romans 8:38-39
"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels,
nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature,
shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus."
The Lord provides for me always,
For each and ev'ry care.
And tho' the storms should come,
I know that Christ is always there.
And who shall take salvation from me,
Or steal the grace I've known?
Not even the gates of hell
Shall destroy the love that God has shown,
The love that God has shown.
Chorus
For I'm sure that neither death (not death), nor life (nor life),
Nor height (nor height), nor depth (nor depth),
nor anything else in the world
Shall be able (shall be able) to cut us off from God,
Shall be able (shall be able) to separate this Love,
In Christ Jesus, we have won!
We have won!
Jesus Christ is the Answer,
I need to search no more,
For when by grace He called to me,
I opened wide the door.
No longer must I fear the Temptor,
Nor face this life alone:
My Savior is here to stay,
Till the day He brings me home,
The day He brings me home.

Well, that was a quick overnight sleep!
Pat: So right - how we live is what really counts. We are to live as a reflection of our faith. I hope that I can live up to that always.
Carol
Pat that would be Samson who put the torches in the foxe's tails.
I almost got bonked on the head here. I posted about the song. It is a contemporary song.

Good Morning Carol! LOL
Glad you wrote down the Antrim Coast Road. It's one of the most beautiful places in the world.
But so also is the west coast of Ireland and also Wicklow--Sally Gap is beautiful.
How long do you plan on being there? I sure hope to see so many photos when you get home.
I sure hope that we can get some of our members from the past back in here posting.
How about all of us writing to them?
Pat and Ria, I didn't get in yesterday...but thank you so much for those devotions....They were very much needed. and Pat, thank you also for today's.
Ladybug...your story yesterday about the clayballs really touched home. I need to look beyond the surface more often!
I have done a bit of baking tonight. I am to be an attendant at my girlfriend's wedding in August and her bridal shower is Sunday. One of the things I am responsible for is a tray or two of desserts. Christmas baking in June......FUN! and YUMMY. :D
Pat, thank you for Our Song of Victory. What a nice way to end my day and now I am off to bed. I'm sure this will be playing in my head as I drift to sleep.
Any shortbread, Sue? I love your shortbread!

LUKE 5 : 31-32
Jesus answered them "It is not the
healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.
I have not come to call the righteous,
but sinners to repentance.
Jesus was often criticized for
deliberately associating with people
who were suspect in the eyes of the
"religious".
There was a reason for His behaviour.
He wasn't doing this to be popular,
weird, bizarre, or hip.
Jesus came to redeem the enslaved,
find the lost, mend the broken, and
reclaim the sinner.
Can Jesus bodily presence strive for
anything less than this today, and still
call herself His Church.
PRAYER...
Forgive me, Fahter,
when i opt for security in
my acquaintances and i
avoid messy entanglements in
my relationships.
Please open my eyes to see
the needy all around me.
Please use me to lead them
to Your grace and to help them
find family with your people.
In Jesus name i pray. Amen

ALEKS TO CP
RIA
Good morning, friends,
I think it's going to be a good day here in Nashville.
Ria, how sad that the mother felt so compelled she would end all their lives including her own. I'll pray for the family and the community. All involved surely must be devastated by this news.
I'll slip away now - must be at work early again today, but it's because of a later doctor's appointment and then I'll be out of the office this afternoon.
Y'all have a wonderful day with the Lord.
Ruth Ann
:)Mrs Pat I like doing searches to find answers and studying whats said.
Thankyou...
Hope all of you are doing good and may God bless you too..

Judges 15:1 But it came to pass within a while after, in the time of wheat harvest, that Samson visited his wife with a kid; and he said, I will go in to my wife into the chamber. But her father would not suffer him to go in.
2 And her father said, I verily thought that thou hadst utterly hated her; therefore I gave her to thy companion: is not her younger sister fairer than she? take her, I pray thee, instead of her.
3 And Samson said concerning them, Now shall I be more blameless than the Philistines, though I do them a displeasure.
4 And Samson went and caught three hundred foxes, and took firebrands, and turned tail to tail, and put a firebrand in the midst between two tails [NKJV: and he took torches, turned the foxes tail to tail, and put a torch between each pair of tails].
5 And when he had set the brands on fire, he let them go into the standing corn of the Philistines, and burnt up both the shocks, and also the standing corn, with the vineyards and olives.
6 Then the Philistines said, Who hath done this? And they answered, Samson, the son in law of the Timnite, because he had taken his wife, and given her to his companion. And the Philistines came up, and burnt her and her father with fire.
Morning!
It is supposed to be a gorgeous day here. We will probably spend most our time outside.
Hope you all have a fun day. I'll try to stop back in later.
Good morning all....I am desperately trying to take my mind off coffee and breakfast. Have to leave for an early morning blood test and can't eat or drink! Miss Squeek (cat) is in a noisy mode and won't be quiet. Some cats have soft, melodious voices. Her's is like chalk on a blackboard. Ahhh!!!
That was very interesting, tolovemoon. A little unkind to the foxes, etc. Have not spent time in the Old Testament for ages and as a result, forget much that is important. We used to study it a lot in church. I miss Lee's posts as he got me to studying that part of the Bible again.
Thanks for the email Marilyn. I appreciate your kindness.
Larry, I hope that you feel better soon.
I just read a cute letter written to the editor in our island paper:
"If you don't believe that gas is plentiful and cheap,
just listen to an election speech!"
Must go and put that pesky cat in the laundry room. Have a great day everyone.
God Bless,
Liz
Pat: We will be in Brussels for six weeks and eurail pass is good in Ireland as well as ferry to the greenest place. I will look for the two places you mention. Thanks.

Hi everyone. I appreciate your expressions of concern and am happy to say I feel fine today. I decided to not walk today and give my heart a chance to rest a bit more. I had taken one of the pain pills the doctor prescribed, not because the pain was really bad but to try to stop the feeling of pressure as he says this is bad for me when it lasts for an extended time, as it had yesterday. I had forgotten that these pills caused a bit of an allergic reaction when I last took one and I wasn't able to sleep soundly last night as I kept waking up itching in different places. Don't think I will take anymore of these pain pills and will try to contact the doctor to see if he will prescribe something else.
The contractor is here again today and is starting on the kitchen cabinets and also putting in the laundry shute. The closet and air conditioning jobs are basically finished. Hopefully he will be done before the end of the week.
Pat, that was a fine devotional message today.
Sue, your talking about Christmas baking now reminds me that our church does a Christmas in July for the nursing home residents at a local nursing home.
Welcome Aleks to CP.
Ria, that is certainly a terrible thing the happened with the mother and children.
Al, on reflection I suppose "good as new" is going a bit too far. At our ages, just feeling better than yesterday is a good day, right? I am very fortunate in that unless my heart is acting up I usually don't have pains.
Janet, glad that Darrell is feeling much better.
Hope everyone is having a good day. Looks like no rain down this way today, just warm weather.
I have a few more of the "Christian One Liners" to share today:
God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage.
He who angers you, controls you!
If God is your copilot - swap seats!
Prayer: Don't give God instructions -- just report for duty!
The task ahead of us is never as great as the power behind us.
The will of God will never take you to where the grace of God will not protect you.
We don't change the message, the message changes us.
You can tell how big a person is by what it takes to...discourage him.

Liz ~ My two kitties eat dry cat food. I thought it was nice to change brands and all (variety) but I was told by someone that their vet says to not change brands. Find a cat food that they like and stick too it. They also get treats (Pounce) and lets me know when it is treat time. Ali get 3, Inky gets two treats. Inky is almost as big as Ali so it will be even treats soon. Yes, I remember the old days when the cats got milk right from the cow that my brother was milking. We gave them table scraps, too. They were indoor/outdoor cats so who knows what all they ate. They sometimes lived a long time. But today....no milk, no chocolate, get shots, get exams. Personally, I think it is another scam that a profession has made up to make money. I love Ali and Inky but they are not suppose to outlive me!!
Larry ~ How has today been for you? I am praying that you feel much better since you had a good rest.
Ladybug ~ That is so true. We tend to make negative first impressions. My church going has helped me to not make bad first impressions. I have had to eat crow too many times and I have found out I don't like crow.
Papa John ~ Our news told about the little girl in Tennessee that a wall collapsed on and killed her. I didn't realize it was that near to you. So sad about the little one drowning in a private pool. If I had a pool in my yard, I would put an electric fence around it or something to notify them that they shouldn't be near the pool.
Pat ~ Samson...Judges 15:3 The devotions is right on. If we look to the bigger circle of things...it isn't the possessions a person leaves behind, it is their character.
Ria ~ So sad. A permanent solution to a temporary problem. Suicide, to me, is the ultimate sin. You can't ask forgiveness so therefore.....
Jerry is coming over today. He is going to cat sit. Ivalou and I are going to Kettering, Ohio. Three of her granddaughters are in a Dance Recital Friday evening. Her grandson is a baseball pitcher and we hope to see one of his games and hopefully him pitching. Hello, everyone! Just had a moment or two here at lunch and thought I would read through New Every Morning. You guys all mean a lot to me, and I really enjoy reading your posts.
Hope you all have a great day!
I Am Crucified With Christ by Phillips Craig and Dean
Verse 1:
When I look back at what I thought was living I'm amazed at the price I chose to pay.
And to think I ignored what really mattered,
Cause I thought the sacrifice would be too great.
But when I finally reached the point of giving in
I found the cross was calling even then
And even thought it took dying to survive
I've never felt so much alive
CHORUS:
Cause I've been crucified with Christ and [ live
Not I but Christ that lives with in me
His cross will never ask for more than I can give
For it's not my strength but His
There's no greater sacrifice,
For I am crucified with Christ and yet I live
As I hear the Savior call for daily dying
I will bow beneath the weight of Calvary
Let my hands surrender to His piercing purpose
That holds me to the cross yet sets me free
I will glory in the power of the cross
The things I thought were gain I count as loss
And with His suffering I identify
And by His resurrection power I am alive
CHORUS
Cause I've been crucified with Christ and [ live
Not I but Christ that lives with in me
His cross will never ask for more than I can give
For it's not my strength but His
There's no greater sacrifice,
For I am crucified with Christ and yet I live
Bridge:
And I will offer all I have
So that His cross is not in vain
For I've found to live is Christ And to die is truly gain.
CHORUS
Cause I've been crucified with Christ and [ live
Not I but Christ that lives with in me
His cross will never ask for more than I can give
For it's not my strength but His
There's no greater sacrifice,
For I am crucified with Christ and yet I live
Howdy howdy!!!
Etta, I tend to disagree with your philosophy on suicide. To me, the ultimate sin is never accepting Christ as your Saviour. If a Christian commits suicide, I believe he/she will still go to heaven, but will be accountable there. If we had to repent before we died before we could go to heaven, then if I told a white lie and stepped out in front of a truck and got killed before I could repent, my salvation would be moot.
Now, if a non-Christian commits suicide, that is a very different matter indeed.
I say that not to argue or try to change anyone's mind, just offering my opinion. It is a sad situation to say the least.
It is a gorgeous day today, and I have a lot I need to do, so I probably should start adn get it done. I need to procrastinate less and do more. <karmat hears bernard say "AMEN" from work>
Take care, and travel safely Etta and Jerry. Tell him I said HI!!
Welcome to everyone that has joined CP in the past few days. The people hear are warm and friendly, and I am sure you will grow to love them (us?).
I'm outta here for a little while.
love
karmat
Karmat.... I agree with you on the suicide matter.
Someone once said to me that we as believers are judged (by God) differently than unbelievers. They are judged because they rejected His ultimate gift, whereas we are judged by what we have done with the ultimate gift.
Gal2:20
"I am crucified with Christ nevertheless I live yet not I but Christ lives within me, And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith the faith of the Son of God......."
What ARE we doing with the faith, and with the Ultimate gift? Are we exercising our faith?
I wrote out the words of the song above, I hope they are a blessing to you as they are to me.
Have a blessed day
Hello I am finally here I have been doing some PSP lessons and some housework before I go to work. I am taking Fay shopping at K-mart today.
Thans Ladybug for posting the owrds to I am crucified with christ by Phillips, Craig and Dean. I sang that as a solo at the church in Lucerne Valley before I moved.
Pat the answer would be that mighty man of valor, Gideon.
Thanks to Pat and ria for the devotions this morning.
Larry I do pray that you are feeling better and do not take that pain killer any longer. Those allergic reactions can be very dangerous.
Etta Sue like you I have learned a different way of care and feeding for my pets. They like Alpo Lamb and Rice for wet food and 3 different dry foods.
Ruth Ann I hope they get your meds fixed for the dizziness. nothing really worked for me I kep saying am going to try the Dramamine but then always forget.
TTYL
Hello folks,I hope you have all been praising and praying while we've been in the land of the free!
But only Christians are really free whatever the land in which they live!
"If the Son shall set you free, you are free indeed."
Free for what purpose??
Give me a good answer here ok?
:)
Love to all of you, especially those who held us up in prayer. ;)
It was a great, and wonderfully blessed three weeks.

Hello, folks! I'm here, late, but here nonetheless. ;D
I attended a Bible study and luncheon today. Abby stayed with Beth. Tomorrow we will take Beth to Amarillo for that MRI and drop off Abby at her home on the way. She is missing her mama but says she still doesn't want to go home yet. :)
I need to go see my Mom, she has an errand she wants me to run for her. I also need to get my painting supplies organized for Jack Sorenson's class next week. YEAAAA!!! I look forward to his class all year long.
Yes, it was Gideon who broke the pitchers and shouted and the enemy was defeated.
Judges 7:19 So Gideon and the hundred men that were with him came unto the outside of the camp in the beginning of the middle watch; and they had but newly set the watch; and they blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers that were in their hands.
20. And the three companies blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers, and held the lamps in their left hands and the trumpets in their right hands to blow withal: and they cried, The sword of the Lord and of Gideon.
21. And they stood every man in his place round about the camp; and all the host ran, and cried, and fled.
22.And the three hundred blew the trumpets, and the Lord set every man's sword against his fellow, even throughout all the host: and the host fled to Beth-shit-tah in Zererath and to the border of Abelmeholah, unto Tabbath.
Another example of the "uncommon" warfare God instructed HIs people to wage. How I pray that the ears of the commanders of our forces tune their ears to the Great Commander for instruction in how to win this global war on terrorism.
CHRIS!!!! I can't even begin to tell you how very happy I am to see you posting here today! Thanks dear bro!
Chris, I don't read it as "free for..." but "free from...". Free from the bonds of sin. ;)
Chris and Margit. I don't know you but Pat says she is glad to see you back. Where have you been? Tell us all about it. Do you have pictures?
In answer to your question, we are free of guilt and judgement also we are free to pray and praise our Saviour!
Blessings all

Hello folks. Just stopped in to say hi. We got done with the papers about 30 minutes ago. While on the paper route we found a car for sale for $900.00. Nice '85 Oldsmobile. We took it to a mechanic and he said it was a great price for the shape that it is in. Troy is excited. He will be 15 on Sunday and plans to get his permit sometime next week.
I better get going. Chandraya wants to go to the park.

Welcome Back Chris and Margit.
Good to see you posting.
Sonya, Troy can get his permit at 15 in Wyoming? in california you have to be 15 1/2 and taking the drivers Ed classes, and have insurance. No classes or insurance no liscense.
Anybody heard from Mieka lately? Is she still not back in the USA?

Pat I am glad that little card made you feel better. [/color]
WELCOME HOME, CHRIS AND MARGIT!! You were greatly missed.
Sonja, Abby and I went to the park this afternoon, too. She is missing Mom but still not ready to go home. She would be happy if we all lived together! ;D ;D
I won't be on tomorrow at least until late, as we are leaving for Amarillo at 6:30 AM. God bless and keep you all while we are absent one from the other.

(Click to hear music)
Words and music by Stuart Hamblen
My heart can sing when I pause to remember
A heartache here is but a stepping stone
Along a trail that's winding always upward,
This troubled world is not my final home.
Chorus
But until then my heart will go on singing,
Until then with joy I'll carry on,
Until the day my eyes behold the city,
Until the day God calls me home.
The things of earth will dim and lose their value
If we recall they're borrowed for awhile;
And things of earth that cause the heart to tremble,
Remembered there will only bring a smile.
The things of earth will dim and lose their value
If we recall they're borrowed for awhile;
And things of earth that cause the heart to tremble,
Remembered there, will only bring a smile.
Chorus
But until then my heart will go on singing,
Until then with joy I'll carry on,
Until the day my eyes behold the city,
Until the day God calls me home.
The things of earth will dim and lose their value
If we recall they're borrowed for awhile;
And things of earth that cause the heart to tremble,
Remembered there will only bring a smile.
This weary world with all its toil and struggle
May take its toll of misery and strife:
The soul of man is like a waiting falcon--
When it's released, it's destined for the skies.
Chorus:
But until then my heart will go on singing,
Until then with joy I'll carry on,
Until the day my eyes behold the city,
Until the day God calls me home.
