Morning Devotional...

Abraham said, My son, God will provide Himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
Genesis 22:8

Isaac was in a quandary: "Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the
lamb for a burnt offering?"

Fortunately, God provided a ram for Isaac and later Christ the Lamb of God for us. Through this story, God wants us to understand the cost of His sacrifice.

The first mention of "love," "worship," and "lamb" occur in Genesis 22. August Van Ryn writes, "There is no worship without love and there is no love without a lamb."

Love came through the Lamb of God and He shall have all the glory!
--Warren Henderson

I will not gaze on glory, but on my King of grace,
Not at the crown He giveth, but on His pierced hand,
The Lamb is all the glory, of Immanuel's land.
Anne R. Cousin

The wedding of the Lamb has come,
and His bride has made herself ready.
Revelation 19:7

Anne R. Cousin

O Christ, He is the fountain, the deep, sweet well of love!
The streams of earth I've tasted more deep I'll drink above:
There to an ocean fullness His mercy doth expand,
And glory, glory dwelleth in Immanuel's land.

O I am my Beloved's and my Beloved's mine!
He brings a poor vile sinner into His house of wine.
I stand upon His merit.  I know no other stand,
Not even where glory dwelleth in Immanuel's land.

The Bride eyes not her garment, but her dear Bridegroom's face;
I will not gaze at glory but on my King of grace.
Not at the crown He giveth but on His pierced hand;
The Lamb is all the glory of Immanuel's land.

Folks, I encourage you to click on this link below and I certainly hope that you can hear it.  It may take awhile to load as it's a wave file but it's a wonderful choir singing the above hymn.

Well here I am first. Hallelujah. I just stopped by to read the latest posts and to say good night. Bebe's Vet appointment went very well she behaved so good and let the Dr check her out. the growth on her leg is a skin tag. I am so glad I had it checked. I will have it removed at a later date. She also got a shot and I came home to get Happy and he got a shot too.

Good Morning Anthony!!

Etta Sue Great Mickey Mouse welcome  animation. Could it have been saved as a tansparent gif so it wouldn't be on a white background? You merge it as a visible instead of flattening it.

Good morning everyone.

It is so nice to read the devotionals each morning and to be able to think about these encouraging messages right at the beginning of each day.  Thank you for providing them.

Good morning Pat & Marilyn.

It looks as though it's going to be another warm day.  Today there is a meeting at church from 11:00am - 3:00pm so I am looking forward to this time of fellowship.  I do trust that everyone will have a glorious day today.

From Last Night.

Carol, I just about managed to save the chicken  :D We had a nice meal in the end.

Marilyn, it is so good to hear that you are trusting God for everything, that's a wonderful testimony.

Karma, it must be very sad to see friends who are so young losing their lives.  How wonderful that three had a trust in the Lord's goodness.  And it is good to ramble sometimes.

JudyB it is good to hear that the garden was planted out.  I think I had better have a little look at my garden and try to tidy things up a bit.  My lawnmower has broken and I have ordered a new one from Amazon,  just waiting for it to turn up.

Thans for voting Al.  I will have to do mine a bit later on.

Larry, I do hope you managed to get a good night's sleep.  I don't enjoy driving at all, and to drive for 11 hours is something I don't think I could do.  I can understand how tired you must feel.  May the Lord refresh you during today.

God bless all and I'll see you later on.

Anthony.

Thank you Pat, for the good Word.

I read the "prayer" below today, while studying Jeremiah.  It was  quite a blessing...hope you enjoy it, as I did.

In His Grip,
Kevin

What Sin? by Morgan Cryar

It happened so long ago
I cried out for mercy back then.
I plead the blood of Jesus
Begged Him to forgive my sin.
But I still can't forget it
It just won't go away.
So I wept again, "Lord, wash my sin,"
But this is all He'd say,

What sin? What sin?
Well, that's as far away as the east is from the west.
What sin? What sin?
It was gone the very minute you confessed
Buried in the sea of forgetfulness.
The heaviest thing you'll carry
Is a load of guilt and shame
You were never meant to bear them
So let them go in Jesus' name.

Our God is slow to anger
Quick to forgive our sin
So let Him put them under the blood
Don't bring them up again.
Cause He'll just say,

What sin? What sin?
Well, that's as far away as the east is from the west.
What sin? What sin?
It was gone the very minute you confessed
Buried in the sea of forgetfulness.

Lord, please deliver me from my accusing memory.
Nothing makes me weep this way, then when I hear You say,

What sin? What sin?
Well, that's as far away as the east is from the west.
What sin? What sin?
It was gone the very minute you confessed
Buried in the sea of forgetfulness.

Pat:  Good Day to you.  I just want to let you know that I tried to get to the choir singing and have a Dell list of songs instead.  ?    You were up late.  I hope that you slept well.

I slept much better last night.  Yesterday morning, AARP insurance called before 6 A.M. - in fact, 5:45 A.M.  Now, an elderly association should know better   I had been awake so much during that night that am sure my voice was groggy.

Coffee  :coffee:   - I think it is ready.

Just so the rest of you know what Marilyn and I have been talking about, it is above.  Marilyn sent me the Minnie Mouse Alpha and I made them into an animation.

Larry, I am glad you are home safe and sound.  Eleven hours is a lot of driving.  I can't do that even though I love to drive.

Pat, thanks for the choir singing.  Beautiful.  And it didn't take long to load at all with High Speed Internet!  That is one thing I like about it.

Carol, good morning.  Glad you had a great night's rest!

Last evening was Beef 'n' Boards.  It is a dinner theater serving a wonderful buffet dinner and then a live musical.  Last night was 'Oliver'.  Not my favorite but good.  Indianapolis does most of the interstate road work at night and we couldn't exit where we wanted and had to drive about 10 miles out of our way.  But all was good...we got back home safe and sound.  I drove!!

I woke to rain this morning.  Ivalou was wanting to mow her lawn today but she may have to wait until tomorrow now.  I will be leaving around noon to take Walter and Nancy to Indiana University at Bloomington.  Nancy wants us to eat at a Steak House before going...the reason I am leaving early.  I should be home to put on the NEM for tomorrow soon enough.  If I don't forget!  I have turned the light on over my computer...a reminder!

Welcome back Larry!!  As soon as the tiredness is gone, the trip will seem more a blessing.

Thanks for that hymn, Pat.  It's the kind of thought you would also see from Samuel Rutherford.

Well, we have to go today for an angiogram form Marbeth.  The Dr. wants to see if there's serious blockage or not.

Al Praying for  Marbeth here.

Larry Glad you go home safe and sound but 11 hours, oh my, When my son moved me  up here he drove 17 hours stopping every 2 hours to walk around and let he dogs out of the car and the truck, Sarah drove the car.

Etta Sue you have a safe trip and don't forget the devotional  <3

Kevin I  really like the prayer and poem you posted, thank you.

Anthony
Enjoy the fellowship[ and your meeting today.

Carol.. 5:45 AM :clobber: I think I would have told them to call back later and let me wake up. But I am usually up by that time anyway.

Yesterday I received a tape of a Sitcom that is in the works to review and critique called Dads. It is about a group of 3 divorced dads and their kids. I didn't care for it. It wasn't funny to me. They will call today to get my opinion.

I spoke with Leroy's Social Worker yesterday and she told me that she had a creepy experience with him too at their last  meeting, he wanted to hug her and itleft her feeling very creeped out.

Got to get dressed and eat now.

If you go to gifworks.com you can make gifs transparent with one click.

Here's Etta Sue's:

(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fchristianphotographers.com%2Fimages%2Fminniemouse_21262.gif&hash=18332636a61208c3dfbb4598a9eb2b329645cbf5)

If making a graphic from scratch, just FYI, the colour code number for the backgroud here is #B4C7D2 so if the graphic was made on that background, the shading would look great!

Not sure why you can't hear the choir, Carol.  Maybe Larry will have an idea.

I'm so happy that the rest of you heard it.  I was so happy with that singing, I just had to share it with you.  It's so reverent.

I've had it playing here on my computer in the background for a couple of hours!

I've just returned from the meeting.  There was quite a good group of people many of whom are not converted.  The pastor spoke on who do men say that I am.  I was going to go to the gym before tea, but I feel too tired so I thought I would pop on to C.P.  The weather is still warm (for the U.K. anyway).

Kevin, that was a beautiful poem.  It is not just our memories that accuse us either.  The old devil is the 'accuser of the brethren.'

Etta Sue, it sounds like a nice idea to have a dinner followed by live theatre.  I really enjoy Charles Dickens and used to have many videos made by the BBC mostly.  Now that my video has gone I will have to start collecting some DVD's.

Al, just praying for the angiogram results.  It's nice to know our lives are in His hands no matter what happens.

Marylin, that Leroy sounds like a complete nuisance.  I do hope that something can be done to stop his inappropriate behaviour.

Pat, I don't know if I have thanked you for posting the link to the choir, it was wonderful to hear them and the words are so wonderful.  Some of the hymns have really been inspired haven't they?  Nice graphic that you made too.

Have a good afternoon and evening and see y'all later.

Anthony.

Kevin -- that is one of my favorite songs.  has such a powerful meaning to it.

Hi ya'll.  I'm at the library between my classes, and getting ready to run back out the door again.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Hello everyone.

I had a short day at work today as I was in a training session for a new program that is being unveiled within the next little bit.

Then home to a mess on my front lawn and ongoing noise overhead.  I have had to have a new roof and today is the day.

Now to get busy with other things.

Hi everyone.  We are leaving soon to attend a dinner for a member of our Sunday School class who is moving to Athens to be near her daughter.  We are looking forward to a nice evening.

Pat, that is a great hymn site and the hymn you posted today I don't think I have ever heard before.  I really don't have a clue as to why Carol would get a Dell site rather than the site for the hymn.  I see that no one else has experienced a problem.

Kevin, that is a very powerful prayer and thanks for sharing it.

Anthony, my wife did some of the driving so I didn't hav e to do it all but it was a long trip.  We are planning another longer trip in September when we will go to Denver for a couple of days to attend my 1st cousin's first ever family reunion.  We will spend a few days in Kansas City each way and that should help break up the trip.  We would like to fly but the cost is prohibitive when we have to rent cars each place and flying has become such a hassle.

Etta Sue, hope you had a good trip today.  It sure is flat up there in the midwest, at least in the area of Ohio and Michigan where we were, except when we went to Traverse City.

Al, sure hope you got good news from the angiogram that your wife had today.  I have had that procedure done more times than I care to remember.  There are a lot of procedures that are worse but it still isn't something I look forward to.  I think my days of having those are probably over as they know my heart is a mess.

Sue, it sounds like you have a fast roofing crew.  Watch out of the nails.

Karmat, is your school still in session?

Marilyn, glad you had a good report on your dog.

My school is always in session.  :)  Seriously.  Because we are considered "open enrollment" (meaning students can enroll at any point in the semester), we only take a day or two here and there.

Time for supper!

Larry - I must admit that I don't know how the angiogram actually works, what's viewed or measured, etc.  Nevertheless, she's gone through it now, so now we're just awaiting the results.  We arrived early, and they took her in early, so that worked out very well.

Also - I hate to say it, but I didn't hear the choir either, and it did take me to a Dell site.  ???

Well you guys I don't know what's wrong with the link for you but I tried both links and the piano music on one and the choir on the other. I didn't get the Dell site. Maybe 'cause I have a Dell computer Heh Heh!!

Had a good day today.  But right now I seem to be getting a reaction to my naicin, just a little bit of tingling is starting.

I am ready to go to Bible Study just waiting until time to walk down to the church.
