Morning Devotional...

Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.
John 14:6

Jesus provided the way out (redemption); the way in (reconciliation); and the way forward (righteousness).

But when time is no more and the door of regeneration is shut, another door opens to darkness and destruction.

The door into the fullness of eternal life (Jn. 3:17) is offered to all classes. Whether the high caste Pharisee of chapter 3; the low caste woman of chapter 4; the downcast paralytic of chapter 5; or the outcast blind man of chapter 9, the Lord Jesus Christ is the answer to every need. The absolute necessity is to be born from above.

Have you been born again?
--Les Rainey

Where He has gone is endless day;
and when this path no more is trod,
He is the truth, the living way,
by which you come to God.

She was 94 years old. But she was very beloved by the people in Holland. She had pneunomia was very weak and was demented.
But she have had a very religious life.
When she was coming on a place she always say i am not coming for the managers but for the people.
She was a lovely woman.

JAMES 1 : 5
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should
ask God, who gives generously to all without
finding fault, and it will be given to him.

    TRUST AND OBEY

Lord, the only truth is Your truth,
the only wisdom, Your wisdom...
     Let my reponse to both
   be uncompromising honesty
   and unquestioning obedience.

Love and Blessings

Amen! True Prophetic voices, not the false ones around so many churches today. :)

March 20

Pastoral Ministry: Prophetic Preachers

Of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know
what Israel ought to do, their chiefs were two hundred....
--1 Chronicles 12:32

A prophet is one who knows his times and what God is trying to say
to the people of his times....

Today we need prophetic preachers; not preachers of prophecy merely,
but preachers with a gift of prophecy. The word of wisdom is missing.
We need the gift of discernment again in our pulpits. It is not
ability to predict that we need, but the anointed eye, the power of
spiritual penetration and interpretation, the ability to appraise
the religious scene as viewed from God's position, and to tell us
what is actually going on....

Where is the man who can see through the ticker tape and confetti to
discover which way the parade is headed, why it started in the first
place and, particularly, who is riding up front in the seat of
honor?...

What is needed desperately today is prophetic insight. Scholars can
interpret the past; it takes prophets to interpret the present.
Learning will enable a man to pass judgment on our yesterdays, but it
requires a gift of clear seeing to pass sentence on our own day....

Another kind of religious leader must arise among us. He must be of
the old prophet type, a man who has seen visions of God and has heard
a voice from the Throne.  Of God and Men, 19-22.

"Lord, I pray for that gift of prophetic insight. Move me beyond the
knowledge You've enabled me to gain through education, reading, and
study. I pray that I might lead as one 'who has seen visions of God
and has heard a voice from the throne.' Amen."

Good morning, folks.

How is everyone?

I got a guestion for you all.

When Jesus comes back, will we disappear like it shows in the movie "Left Behind" or will just our souls go to heaven?

HI SONJA  that is also a question for me i have not seen the movie Left Behind is it a good movie but i think only our souls are going to heaven

 ??? ??? :-\  Lost my post!   :( >:(

Soni, yes, when we are caught away, whether living or from our graves, our bodies will disappear from this earth.  We will receive our glorified bodies at that time.  Won't that just be the most exciting time ever??  WOW!!

I have some framing to finish up, and don't have particular plans for the day other than that.

Now I have a question----will there be animals in heaven?  I have an opinion, but would like to hear yours, all of you.  :)  Thanks.

Also, since the soul is composed of mind, will and emotions, don't animals have souls too?  I believe they do, but they do NOT have spirits.  What is your opinion?  Just friendly questions, I'm not set in concrete on either of them.

Ria, what a lovely post today.  Thank you!  You always have some inspiring words for us.

Good Morning: janet I have heard both things. One preacher told me that there will be no animals inheaven because they don't have souls.

Then another preacher has told me that since Jesus has a White Horse in heaven that there are other animals there too.

Personally I believe that our pets and other animals with be there too.

I believe in "Rainbow Bridge". I have to because of my love for animals. I can't bear to think that they will not be there.

There are, of course, different beliefs about what the Second Coming will be like.  The main thing to know, Sonja, is that there is a Second Coming - that our Lord is "so coming in like manner as you have seen Him depart."

I believe He will come suddenly.  I believe every eye shall see Him at one time.  I believe it will be a cataclysmic coming.  I believe the saints (all of us who trust Him) will rejoice forever and ever in His Presence.  I believe we (the saints) will meet Him in the air, then return the rest of the way to earth with Him, in order to rule and reign with Him forever.  The unbelieving will be judged at this time.  In fact, as they see Him coming we are told they will scream out for the rocks to cover them to hide them from Him Whom they had not believed.  The earth will then be "covered with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea." (Is. 11)  No more sin, no more decay, no more death and dying - only righteousness and peace and joy.  I believe there will be absolute joy for each and every one of us in His presence, in knowing our own gifts and abilities, and in the work He'll have us joyfully doing.  There will be no tiredness.  My response to the thought of His coming?  Praise the Lord!!!!

Good Morning Everyone!

It's a drizzly day here in Guelph!  Even Geordie didn't want to stay outside today!

Ria, it's so nice to get up and find your colourful post in here.  Thanks so much.  That's a great hymn for all of us...Trust and Obey.  I'll have to get it and post it in here.

Thanks Chris!  Lovely hymns and good words too from Mr. Tozer.

Soni, good question!

QuoteWhen Jesus comes back, will we disappear like it shows in the movie "Left Behind" or will just our souls go to heaven?

It will be interesting to read what the folks in here think about this.  Of course, there are differing interpretations on what will exactly happen when the Lord comes back but oh, praise the Lord, what a day that will be!  He's coming back for me!  And I believe that we'll have our new bodies--without spot or blemish!  Wow!  It makes me think of the hymn, "One Day He's Coming!  Think I'll get it and post it.  Let's sing it altogether.

One Day  (http://www.christianphotographers.com/sounds/one-day.mid)
(Click to hear music)

Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many;
and unto them that look for Him shall He appear
the second time without sin unto salvation.
Hebrews 9:28

Words: J. Wilbur Chapman. Chapman gave two poems (including this one) to Charles Marsh around 1908. Marsh then wrote the tune, but there was disagreement over the copyright between two publishers. As a result, this song was not published until 1911.

Music: Charles H.

One day when heaven was filled with His praises,
One day when sin was as black as could be,
Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin,
Dwelt among men, my Example is He!

Refrain

Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me;
Buried He carried my sins far away;
Rising, He justified freely forever;
One day He's coming—O glorious day!

One day they led Him up Calvary's mountain,
One day they nailed Him to die on the tree;
Suffering anguish, despised and rejected:
Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He!

Refrain

One day they left Him alone in the garden,
One day He rested, from suffering free;
Angels came down o'er His tomb to keep vigil;
Hope of the hopeless, my Savior is He!

Refrain

One day the grave could conceal Him no longer,
One day the stone rolled away from the door;
Then He arose, over death He had conquered;
Now is ascended, my Lord evermore!

Refrain

One day the trumpet will sound for His coming,
One day the skies with His glories will shine;
Wonderful day, my belovèd ones bringing;
Glorious Savior, this Jesus is mine!

Refrain

Good question, Janet!  I sure don't know the answer but when I look at Geordie, I sure would love to think that he'll be there. :)

Thanks Al for the good words.  That's how I think it will happen as well.  What a day that will be for those of us who are believers!  But imagine those who don't believe!  That will be such a terrible day!  I often ponder those words in God's Word where they will cry out for the rocks to hide them from our God.  Oh, that men and women everywhere would fall on their faces and come to know the Lord as their Saviour!

Zachery, yes, I put some new little avatars in for you all to have some fun with.  I'll be adding more as time goes on.  I really like that little kitten!

Also would like to believe that animals have souls and we will see them again.  Think it is nice to take the positive side in anything that is open to question.  Much nicer way to get thro'  the journey!

AL thank you for your good answer but i always
are thinking we shall have a new body are we they get when also our soul is going to Heaven when we die or when Jesus is coming back amd when the graves will be opened.
And the people there are gone i say always they are gone to Jesus they are happy have their souls then body's because how can a soul be happy.
Maybe is it a stupid question from me that is also say my pastor not that i am stupid but that i ask such a lot
also difficult things. And this is one of my difficult questions.
Who can help me with this for me so difficult question.
Janet i think there are also animals
Bye love Ria

I have always thought that if you are alive when Jesus returns, the believers that are in the graves will arise first to meet Christ, then the live believers will rise to meet Christ.  Then we will receive our Holy bodies.  What a wonderful thought!  I am going to ask for a size 6 body for eternity in Heaven.

Animals in heaven?  God gave us pets for our pleasure.  I do believe there will be pets in heaven.  Nothing in the Bible...I don't think...but what another wonderful thought...our pets will meet us in Heaven as well as our ancestors and loved ones.

It doesn't look like CP was very busy yesterday.  I took Jerry to physical therapy and he had improved mobility and less pain in his right arm.  They sent home with him a pulley to put over a door so he can do his exercises at home or anywhere he is.  That is great.

I missed a couple of hours of sleep in the night.  I woke up and felt I was going to be sick.  I wasn't but I still lost sleep.  So at daylight, I shut my door...to keep the kitties out...and slept until 9:45 a.m....really late for me.  So I had a late start today.  I feel fine today.

Just got through with lunch and now trying to get caught up on the computer.

Hi everyone.  It is another beautiful and sunny day here in Georgia.  I have spent a bit of time trying to work with some software on a trial to convert a taped sermon to a wav file and then to text as one of our ministers doesn't write out her sermons.  So far have not had success but think I have a setting wrong somewhere.  In a few minutes, one of the men of the church is coming over as he is becoming a co-webmaster with me and I will be going over what is involved.  He is interested in video and audio and will be making a video for our webpage and I think he will be able to help me get the wave file recorded.  I also have been working on some webpage editing for another volunteer group today.

Interesting discussions here today.  Al, I certainly agree with your comments.

Ria, sorry about your country losing the elderly Queen Princess but it sounds like she had a long life.

Liz, likewise I am sorry to hear that the pet had to be put to sleep.  Unfortunately this is something most pet owners have to deal with but it doesn't lessen the sense of loss.

Ria, I also heard last evening about your Queen passing away.  Will there be a large state funeral?  She spent time in Canada.  In fact the tulips in our capital city were all from her as a thank you gift for what Canada did for Holland and her family during the World War 2.

O safe to the Rock that is higher than I,
My soul in its conflicts and sorrows would fly;
So sinful, so weary, Thine, Thine, would I be;
Thou blest "Rock of Ages," I'm hiding in Thee.

Refrain
Hiding in Thee, hiding in Thee,
Thou blest "Rock of Ages,"
I'm hiding in Thee.

In the calm of the noontide, in sorrow's lone hour,
In times when temptation casts over me its power;
In the tempests of life, on its wide, heaving sea,
Thou blest "Rock of Ages," I'm hiding in Thee.

How oft in the conflict, when pressed by the foe,
I have fled to my refuge and breathed out my woe;
How often, when trials like sea billows roll,
Have I hidden in Thee, O Thou Rock of my soul.

It is good to see each one today.  This week has gone by fast for us.  We arrived here a week ago today.  Our Martha will go home tomorrow.  Our youngest daughter, Rachel, with husband and one of their sons will come our third week here.  Beth, our oldest daughter with her husband will be here our fifth and last week.

We just kind of take it easy each day, go down to the beach.  I take a swim in the pool.  Cornelia never gets in the water.  It just isn't her thing.  It is good to be here and be able to be out in the fresh air every day.  There is a     c a n a l   behind the house  and we like to see boats pass by going to the bay and then the Gulf of Mexico beyond the costal islands.

Tomorrow morning we go to worship and from church we will probably go to a Chinese restaurant for lunch.

As I walked along the beach today and looked out to sea I thought of God's power in creating this world in which we live and made the land and the sea.

Gen 1:1  In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  (NIV)

Gen 1:9-13  And God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so.  God called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." And God saw that it was good.  Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so.  The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.  And there was evening, and there was morning-- the third day. (NIV)

On the question "are the pets going to heaven"

I don't think they are, if so then all animals will go to heaven.  The ones we eat, well every animal will go.  It just doesn't seem right to me, at least from my experience from reading the bible that humans are the only ones who will go to Heaven or the new earth as Al has stated.

I read a verse in the bible somewhere saying they do not have soles(not shoes).
I am not trying to make any one sad but that is only what I think. :-* Love you

Hi Pat,   I love that picture of you and Jack and thank you for the 2 great songs.

I believe that heaven will be so amazing that if there are no animals there, we won't notice at all because we will be busy worshipping the Lamb.   The bible says that we can only imagine what heaven is like, as if we were looking through a dark glass, but then face to face.   Wow!

How wonderful to see Jesus, the One who died for me, and then my mom & dad and my brother Doug and my grandmothers and grandfathers on both sides.  Another theory of mine is that we will know who Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Ruth, Esther, Moses, Daniel and all the other greats are.  I don't believe we will have to have name tags on us.  I have heard that here on earth we only use 10% of our brain.   If that is correct, maybe because in heaven we will use the other 90% of our brain and we will know who everyone is.    Just my thoughts.    But sometimes we can just dream about it!

Good to be back.  I will tell you in the next post about the great news I had in the EE clinic for Pastors.  God Bless

Love Ruthie

Just a quick update on what happened this past week.  I was involved with an EE clinic that trains Pastors to share their faith by learning the EE presentation.   They then go back and implement EE in their church.  We as trainers go with them into the homes and help them.   On Friday I went a long way with a Pastor and led a lady to the Lord.  Another team had been there the day before, but apparently she was not ready.  But on Thursday she was and everything became clear to her and she said the sinner's prayer to become a Child of God.  Praise God.  We now pray that the Pastors can start EE in all their churches.    God Bless

Love Ruthie

Ruthie, it is wonderful what you are doing with EE.  I know God is pleased with you!

Hi, Zachery!  How are you doing today?  What's your favorite thing to do (play) outdoors?  Spring is coming and soon you will be able to spend lots of time outside.  Don't get sunburned, though!  8)

Thanks to all of you for sharing your thoughts about animals and heaven.  As Ruthie said, we can only imagine how wonderful Heaven will be.  I can hardly wait!  (But that doesn't mean I want to be on the next bus!)  ;)  I think I have a few more things to do here first; but am ready to go whenever He calls me.

Hey, Soni!  How did our sweet Chandraya do yesterday?

Ria, it is good to know your Princess Mom was ready to go and that you will see her in heaven.  She could leave no better legacy than to have people say she lived for and loved God.

HI Janet,
Chandraya has 4 more dance auditions to go to (1 more Jazz, 1 ballet, and 2 tap auditions) before, so I would say after June.

If there are no animals in heaven where does the lion lay down with the lamb and where does Jesus keep his White stallion?

I've posted more photos.

Soni I know that's what you said. I would like very much to believe that there are animals in Heaven, like I said where does the lion lay down with the lamb? On earth or in Heaven? Where does Jesus keep His white stallion? As much as I love my pets, past and present, I seriously would like to believe that they are waiting at Rainbow Bridge for me.

Animals that are in heaven are there. But none on earth, see God made them to please us. and really I do not think animals are really there(on earth) because they do not have soles and why would God give an animal a sole and not let it go to heaven? they do not know right from wrong(chewing off someones leg). Also God had people sacrifice them before Jesus died for our sins! I gave this much thought to myself for the past year wondering about it. But that would be great if they did!

Ms.Janet I am doing good right now!
I am going to go into 4-H to do shooting with my rifle! That will be fun!
How are you?

Have a nice evening!

Zachery

QuoteI have always thought that if you are alive when Jesus returns, the believers that are in the graves will arise first to meet Christ, then the live believers will rise to meet Christ.
Etta Sue - as I understand it, your order of things is exactly correct.  When our Lord returns, then first the dead in Christ, then those who are alive and remain - all with totally renewed and perfect bodies!
As far as the animals - I don't know.  The Scripture is silent about that.  However, we need to remember that when He had created all the animals He pronounced them "very good."  I can't help but think, then, that in that heavenly state there will be animals as well.  I think Pat is going to have Geordie to take care of there too!

I've a home prepared where the saints abide
Just over in the glory land
And I long to be by my Saviour's side
Just over in the glory land

Just over in the glory land
I'll join the happy angel band
Just over in the glory land
Just over in the glory land
There with the mighty host I'll stand
Just over in the glory land

I am on my way to those mansions fair
Just over in the glory land
There to sing God's praises and his glory share
Just over in the glory land

Refrain

What a joyful thought that my Lord I'll see
Just over in the glory land
And with kindred saved, there forever be
Just over in the glory land

Refrain

With the blood washed throng I will shout and sing
Just over in the glory land
Glad hosannas to Christ, the Lord and King
Just over in the glory land

Refrain
