Morning Devotional...For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ. And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment. Philippians 1:8-10
Would we like our love for God's people to be a matter of public, eternal record?
Paul's was. He boldly proclaimed his ardor for his fellow saints, praying that their love would increase.
Their passion must be accompanied, however, by greater knowledge of Christ and spiritual discernment. The Scriptures stress "grace and truth," as well as "speaking the truth in love" (Jn. 1:17; Eph. 4:15).
May God help us to live in this blessed balance.

Well, by posting now, I can be first for the morning. I'm hoping it won't rain tomorrow, as we are taking a fellow to town who will have to walk around with his 15-month-old in a stroller.
Thanks so very much, Pat, for puting in my temperature thingy. (that's the other reason I'm posting now).

Good day to all. We have been having a very exciting time here in Welland as our house has been like a Bed and Breakfast for the last few weeks and that is the way that we asked the Lord to use our new house and agian without fail he answered our prayers.
Yesterday I had the awsome oppretunity to be the guest speaker and soloist at a seniors meeting and it went well but prior to the meeting the devil did not want it to happen but the Lord got me through it again and it always proves to me how powerful he is and the devil never wins when it is backed by prayer so Praise his name. My favourite song to sing is It Is Well With My Soul and it has such a powerful message. In a devotional that I read the other day it had this verse from the N.R.S.V. 3 John.2 Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, just as it is well with your soul I pray that it is well with your soul and that this week will go well for all of you at C.P.
Thank you for your continued prayer for my wife Noreen as she has not had a lot of good days and now she has a side effect we think from the drugs and she has this trembelling which makes her shake a lot so please pray for her. Thanks Gord.
Hi Judy B. Thaks for the e-mails Very good.
Hi Ruthie. Hope your health is doing better.
Pappa John. Great tohere about your two seats together and continuing to pray for Corneila.
Good Night to all Gord.
:coffee: Goodmorning
In this part of Ontario we have woke up to a thin blanket of snow when one knows it will not be around long it sure looks and feels nice.
I trust that y'all have a God filled day.
Ruth
Hi, it hasn't been long since I posted last evening but I have a busy day again today with a meeting at 10:30, running some errands and then choir practice tonight. So I may not have a chance to stop by again.
Good morning Pat, Al, Ruthie, Gord, Ruth, Larry, and the rest of you who will be along later..
I'm up before any of my guys this morning, so thought I would post while waiting for them to wake up. I don't know how to dress until I know what they want to do. I think we will go swimming, but not sure............ ;)
Curtis and Mark didn't come yesterday, I misunderstood Darrel. He said they are coming today. :D ;D :) <3 It isn't often I get to see all four of them at once! And I really do enjoy all of them; they are really good boys. I thank God their parents are raising them to be good citizens, good people, and good Christians.
I need to take Beth to the doctor this morning at 11:30, and am not dreading that as usual, since we have the van. What a blessing that is! Yesterday she was having spasms in her arms, which gives me such a feeling of dread, as that may mean the neuros in her spinal column are now pressing on the area of her spinal cord that controls movement in her arms. Please, Lord, don't let it be so! :-\
Gord, what a great ministry use for your new home! I know God will bless you for that. And I pray Noreen is better each day.
I think I will go :coffee: now, and by then maybe these guys will be awake.
I awoke quite early this morning, So at 5aM I got up to spend time with the Lord, In a few moments I will go take a shower and get ready for my day. After I leave Fay's toady I have to go by Pastor Leroy's house and pick up their laundry and do a few things there. Joanne is still in the hospital and i have no idea when she will return home. It sure puts a dent in my income but praise the Lord that she is where she will get the care she needs.
Yesterday my doctor told me that I need to walk more my cholesterol has gone up a little bit again but I can't and won't take the drugs. I have started on policosanol, and she suggested fiber as well as what I am already doing. I also take the Cholest-off, granulated Lecithin, and garlic. I haven't paid much attention to what I eat for a few months and have been eating things that I shouldn't.
TTYL gotta go shower.
Marilyn, I have been on several cholesterol lowering drugs. Lipitor has helped me more than any of them. I would be afraid to depend on anything from a health products store.
It seems that winter will not go away. It was 29 degrees this morning but now it is 30 degrees. It should get up into the 40's for a high.
I hope you all have a good day.
Papa John
Papa John I don't like to take pharmaceutical drugs unless absolutely necessary. I have found that there are many natural things that work better than drugs. There are healing foods as well as herbs and Drugs don't HEAL anything they mask symptoms and the side effects cause other problems like effecting the liver in a negative way or some other thing. Have you seen the ads on TV telling about the side effects to the drugs they are advertising. Our bodies were created by God to heal themselves.
Hey Al I hope you go your problem solved in your profile.
gotta fix my breakfast now.
:coffee: Morning all! I hope this day has found you all Happy, Holy, Healthy & Wealthy!
Something a friend often says, just thought I would share. Peace, Ritz.

Good Morning All!
I got my drains going to the septic tank now and did three loads of laundry yesterday afternoon. Kitty called and said the Photography Class was cancelled due to the snow we received yesterday morning, so I sat in my easy chair and tried to catch up on TV programs that was recorded while I was gone 12 days. I went from 22 shows to now having 16 shows to watch. Hard to catch up when I am still recording shows.
I got a call from Kitty this morning also. Her daughter in Ohio is having her baby by cesarean TODAY! So Kitty is off to Ohio as I am typing. I haven't seen Kitty since she cat sat for me so now it will still be awhile.
I still have water in the basement. You would think that plumbers would have a surface sump pump that would pump out more water than my ancient sump pump, wouldn't you? Or open up my drain so it would drain. But I guess they only wanted to do what their boss said to do! But I got the drains fixed.
I have noticed that the temp on my little temp thingy is off...I have 29° F on my WeatherBug. ~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^

2 Peter 3:3-4
Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation.
Matthew 24:10-13
"At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. "Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. "Because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold. "But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.`
Colossians 2:8
See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.
Bush admits: I haven't considered apocalypse
WORLDNETDAILY - March 21, 2006 - President Bush said he hasn't considered the global war on terrorism in light of Bible prophecy.
Asked by a questioner following his speech on the War on Terror at the City Club of Cleveland tonight whether the war in Iraq and the rise of terrorism are signs of the apocaplyse, Bush responded, "The answer is – I haven't really thought of it that way."
It was the first of several questions posed to the president.
"My question is that author and former Nixon administration official Kevin Phillips, in his latest book, 'American Theocracy,' discusses what has been called radical Christianity and its growing involvement into government and politics," asked an unidentified woman. "He makes the point that members of your administration have reached out to prophetic Christians who see the war in Iraq and the rise of terrorism as signs of the apocalypse. Do you believe this, that the war in Iraq and the rise of terrorism are signs of the apocalypse? And if not, why not?"
The president elaborated: "Here's how I think of it. The first I've heard of that, by the way. I guess I'm more of a practical fellow. I vowed after September the 11th, that I would do everything I could to protect the American people. And my attitude, of course, was affected by the attacks. I knew we were at war. I knew that the enemy, obviously, had to be sophisticated and lethal to fly hijacked airplanes into facilities that would be killing thousands of people, innocent people, doing nothing, just sitting there going to work.
"I also knew this about this war on terror, that the farther we got away from September the 11th, the more likely it is people would seek comfort and not think about this global war on terror as a global war on terror," he said. "And that's good, by the way. It's hard to take risk if you're a small business owner, for example, if you're worried that the next attack is going to come tomorrow. I understand that. But I also understand my most important job, the most important job of any president today, and I predict down the road, is to protect America."
He continued: "And so I told the American people that we would find the terrorists and bring them to justice, and that we needed to defeat them overseas so we didn't have to face them here at home. I also understood that the war on terror requires some clear doctrine. And one of the doctrines that I laid out was, if you harbor a terrorist, you're equally as guilty as the terrorist. And the first time that doctrine was really challenged was in Afghanistan. I guess the Taliban didn't believe us – or me. And so we acted. Twenty-five million people are now free, and Afghanistan is no longer a safe haven for the terrorists. And the other doctrine that's really important, and it's a change of attitude – it's going to require a change of attitude for a while – is that, when you see a threat, you got to deal with it before it hurts you. Foreign policy used to be dictated by the fact we had two oceans protecting us. If we saw a threat, you could deal with it if you needed to, you think – or not. But we'd be safe.
"My most important job is to protect you, is to protect the American people," the president said. "Therefore, when we see threats, given the lesson of September the 11th, we got to deal with them. That does not mean militarily, necessarily. Obviously, the first option for a President has got to be the full use of diplomacy. That's what you're watching in Iran right now. I see a threat in Iran. I see it there – I'm kind of getting off subject here, not because I don't want to answer your question, but kind of – I guess, that's what happens in Washington, we get a little long-winded. But now that I'm on Iran, the threat to Iran, of course – the threat from Iran is, of course, their stated objective to destroy our strong ally Israel. That's a threat, a serious threat. It's a threat to world peace; it's a threat, in essence, to a strong alliance. I made it clear, I'll make it clear again, that we will use military might to protect our ally, Israel."
The president's pledge to protect Israel drew applause from the crowd.
"At any rate, our objective is to solve this issue diplomatically. And so our message must be a united message, a message from not only the United States, but also Great Britain and France and Germany, as well as Russia, hopefully, and China, in order to say, loud and clear to the Iranians, this is unacceptable behavior," said Bush. "Your desire to have a nuclear weapon is unacceptable."
He concluded: "And so, to answer your question, I take a practical view of doing the job you want me to do – which is how do we defeat an enemy that still wants to hurt us; and how do we deal with threats before they fully materialize; what do we do to protect us from harm? That's my job. And that job came home on September the 11th, for me – loud and clear. And I think about my job of protecting you every day – every single day of the presidency, I'm concerned about the safety of the American people."
Asked a similar question in October 1984 – whether he believed in Armageddon, President Ronald Reagan answered: "Yes, Armageddon could come the day after tomorrow."

:coffee:
Thank you for the encouraging devotion, Pat. Things get back to "busy mode" for me today after a somewhat slow day yesterday.
I just praise God for His provision.
In His Grip,
kevin
It was our church's turn to host the Lenten Luncheon today. We provided a covered dish meal and what a turnout we had. We put out several different kinds of casseroles, as well as some salad dishes and six different kinds of cake for dessert. As those of us who were working the lunch stood watching the line moving on both sides of the serving tables we wondered whether there would be enough to go around and one of the men suggested we might have to go to the diner to get something for ourselves. :D But the supplies lasted and we got to sample everything, too, while we listened to our pastor speak.
The donations on previous Wednesdays have been averaging around $50 and today we collected $180!!! The people in town who attend these luncheons have come to expect more at ours than the standard soup and sandwich so we usually get a larger crowd.
All in all it was a blessed time.
The boys and I really had a good workout today at the gym (me) and the pool (all of us.)
I listened to both of President Bush's speeches/press conferences this week. I have great respect for the man. I do not agree with everything he says or does, but he is by far the best we have had since President Reagan......and he is a Christian, for which I thank God.
We are having talapia fish, asparagus and baked potatoes for supper, and it's almost done. The boys are not sure if they like fish or not, so we will see. Obviously they do not have that very often at home, but then, neither do we!
The doctor is sending Beth for another MRI in the morning, to see what's going on in her neck. :(
Jeanne, I wish I could have attended your Lenton luncheon. They used to have those here, but stopped; I'm not sure why.
Better go set the table!
I'm home now after a busy day at work. I will be watching the World's tonight, so must get busy and get dinner done or I won't be able to.
Heading towards Gulfport, Miss on Friday to do some repair work and clean-up. Can't wait to get going.
Perhaps when I return Pat will guide me through posting pictures of that area.
I heard today that Promise Keepers is focusing on the storm clean-up this year. A pastor from New Orleans said it is going to be five or ten years before the clean-up and rebuild is done.
The End is Near!!!
