Morning Devotional...Ye. . . are. . . an holy priesthood. . . ye are. . . a royal priesthood. 1 Peter 2:5, 9
Did you know that you are part of a holy and royal priesthood that reaches up to God and out to the world?
What a privilege and responsibility! As a holy priest you stand before God to worship, offering up spiritual sacrifices like praise, service, our substance, and ourself.
As a royal priest, you stand before man as a witness to proclaim God's praises--to your family, assembly, and the world.
Any questions?
Just read the priestly manual--the Bible, and start practicing the privilege of your priesthood!

inside the veil;
Low we bow in adoration,

Hi, Pat, and everyone else, from beautiful Cheyenne, Wyoming (again). I'm in a motel right now, a bit bored (no kids, no husband). Tomorrow morning I have meetings, but then I get to drive to Laramie and spend the rest of the day with my oldest son, Martin. I love spending time with him.
You all take care now,
Ursula
Just wanted to say a quick good night to everyone. We had a lovely day here. :) I got a few things done and really was blessed by a friend God sent my way. I've been lonely here in Wichita and my homeschooling group reached out to me and I may make some friends.
It's so awesome and I'm so excited.
God is so good. He hears and answers even our tiniest prayers and cries.
Have a good night all.
Hugs,
Shawnee
Will come back later on - just wanted to say good morning and hello to everyone for now.
So glad its the morning here - the nights are worse for me at the moment, and its such a beautiful, warm and sunny day too.
Love to all

LUKE 5 : 18 NIV
Some men came carrying a paralytic
on a mat and tried to take him into
the house to lay him before Jesus.
What is the fullest definition of a friend?
The Bible offers us numerous definitions
and examples. One of my favorite examples is this story of the paralyzed man whose friends went to great
extremes to get him to Jesus.
Their faith and their effort to get him to Jesus are the
things that ultimately result in the man's forgiveness and
healing. I don't know about you, but that's the
kind of friend i want to be.
Holy Fahter, please bless me
as i try to lead _______put the name of several non-Christian friends here_____
to forgiveness and healing in Jesus.
Give me the tenaticy and tact to do this
with gentleness and respect without loosing
my sense of urgency to see them become Christians.
In Jesus ' name i pray AMEN
PHIL WARE

Good news! Baby Georgia is on her way back to health. She ate the first time at breakfast this morning, and her temp is only 100 now. The doctors had to change all of her medications a couple of days ago.
Pam asks me to thank you for your prayers.
I'm heading out the door to see the doctor. Maybe he can ZAP this dizziness if he puts the tube in my ear. I may also ask for a doppler scan of my neck to be certain the blood flow is okay.
Y'all have a good day.
Ruth Ann
Pat, the answer is:
Prov 21:16 The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead. (KJV)
I have an appointment with my doctor this morning. Nothing serious I hope. I have a new mole on my arm which doesn't look good. Also I seem to have strained my wrist which is painful and has swollen a little, and also a few other symptoms.
3 Jn 1:1-4
1 The elder, To my dear friend Gaius, whom I love in the truth.
2 Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.
3 It gave me great joy to have some brothers come and tell about your faithfulness to the truth and how you continue to walk in the truth.
4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. (NIV)
Papa John
Hi everyone. We have been having thunder for the last hour and not a drop of rain. It is cooler here today.
This is Calvin Cove day and Pat and I will head to the church shortly and then to the library and who knows where else she may want to go. Glad to say she is feeling much better today as the last few days have been very unpleasant for her.
Papa John, sure hope that it is nothing serious but certainly you need to have it checked out. I will be praying for you as I do for all of the folks here on CP who have indicated a prayer need.
Ruth Ann, so glad the baby is doing better and perhaps in another day or two she will be back to normal. Children seem to have a way of bouncing back quickly. Also hope your doctor will find the problem and address it so the dizziness will depart.
Ria, sorry the battery was dead in your camera. Always enjoy seeing your photos. That sounds like quite a bike ride.
Chris, good to see you posting and sure hope you will soon be feeling much better. I can still remember having my tonsils out as a child and my folks brought me home the same day. I started bleeding and almost bleed to death. I don't think my folks ever used that doctor again. I can still remember getting the ether and I hated it. Just thinking of it makes my nose burn. Guess I am showing my age.
Shawnee, having moved many time in our lives I understand how frustrating it can be to make new friends. However, we always found that starting with a new church home and beginning to participate in the activities soon let us meet some very nice new friends. Glad the homeschooler group has reached out to you.
Ursula, what type of work do you do? It seems you have to travel quite a bit. Hope you have a nice visit with your son.
Pat, what an intersting thought:

Liz, glad to see you posting again and also to see Sue posting. I read through the postings from yesterday but don't have the time now to go back to comment on them. About time to leave.
Good Afternoon to all,
Just popping in before heading around the forum to see what
I missed while I was gone.
Had my grand daughter up to the mountains this weekend and
boy did I get my exercise in.
Forgot how active 14 year old are !! But I love it; and the best compliment I received was that she is such a lovely lady.
Will get some photos of our romp in the hills with the doggie.
SHe will be graduating from 8th grade on the 10th of June and will be spending time in North Carolina with her mom until mid August so we will dearly miss her.
We will head to North Carolina the end of July to retrieve her and
bring her back to Jersey.
My grandson just finished his first year of college and now back home looking for summer work.
Boy the time goes so fast --remember how little they were and dependent on us; now they seem so grown up and very vunerable
to the future.
Pray each day for them.
Will go back and see what postings I missed and hopefully get back and "chat".
By the way, Jeanne, Joyce Meyer had a great show on this morning.
Really touched home --about getting our zest and passion back for the Lord like we had on our first day of being reborn again.
We should have that passion all the time so we may better convey our personal relationship with Jesus for all to see.
Take care,
Love in Christ,
Joyce

Luke 23:33
Years I spent in vanity and pride,
Caring not my Lord was crucified,
Knowing not it was for me He died on Calvary.
Chorus:
Mercy there was great, and grace was free;
Pardon there was multiplied to me;
There my burdened soul found liberty at Calvary.
By God's Word at last my sin I learned;
Then I trembled at the law I'd spurned,
Till my guilty soul imploring turned to Calvary.
Chorus
Now I've given to Jesus everything,
Now I gladly own Him as my King,
Now my raptured soul can only sing of Calvary!

Oh, the love that drew salvation's plan!
Oh, the grace that brought it down to man!
Oh, the mighty gulf that God did span at Calvary!

Larry beat me to it but it is #3, Pat. Number three. Japheth, Shem and Ham!!!
Marilyn ~ I think I did 4 bunches of lessons on PSP. I have three big notebooks full of lessons. I printed on both sides and it took at least 2 reams of paper and I don't know how many cartridges of ink. It does seem that there is a lot of wasted space on the lessons. I wish they would have condensed them more. Also I didn't print the last page of the lessons. I did a print preview and only printed the instructions. Did you know you can save the pages to your pc? Maybe that would work better than printing all the time. Just a suggestion?
Al ~ WYAM in Kona, Hawaii. Hmmmm! Maybe I ought to go check them out!!
Ruth Ann ~ I am not a worrier but I called and called my sister one evening when she was gone...very seldom gone at night. I went over there. No lights. But I was prepared to call 911 if she wasn't home by 11 p.m. She came home at 10:55 p.m. She was at a neighbors watching a basketball game. Now she tells me when she is going to be gone for very long. I really didn't want that but it does put my mind at ease.
Janet ~ So glad you are feeling better. How did the doctor appointments go for Beth? That must be so frustrating for Beth AND you for her to not be able to walk.
Ruth ~ Thank you for the comment on my little animations. They do make you go ahhhhh!, don't they?
Karma ~ If you had food poisoning you would remember it. Even your hair hurts when you have food poisoning. You don't know whether to sit or bend over...if you know what I mean...sometimes you try to do both at once.
My house is all spiffy. The yard is spiffy. I have all the snacks ready except baking some sausage balls. Now I am praying that someone shows up. I am the farthest away from the church in our small group...some will have to drive a long ways. All I know is when I take the trash out in the morning, I am coming back in the house and I am going to crash. I am pooped!!!
I just realized that I graduated from high school 44 years ago tonight!!!!!! <:))))><<~~<:))))><<~~<:))))><<~~<:))))><<~~<:))))

Hey, you guys are good!
Yes, CONGRATULATIONS to Larry and Etta Sue...
The answer is in Genesis 5:32
"And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth."
Well I had a nice visit with my doctor. He assured me that what looked like a mole to me was actually a little bruised spot which often happens when one is taking blood thinners. The problem with my wrist is an inflamed tendon which causes what is sometimes called Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. He gave me some medicine for it and prescribed an elastic wrist splint. Regarding another problem they took blood for some tests and also did an X-ray. Thank you for your prayers.
I knew it was Shem Ham and Japheth but Larry and Etta Sue beat me to it.
I Jn 5:1-4
1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well.
2 This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands.
3 This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome,
4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. (NIV)

'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
And to take Him at His Word;
Just to rest upon His promise,
And to know, "Thus says the Lord!"
Refrain
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I've proved Him o'er and o'er
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust Him more!
O how sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to trust His cleansing blood;
And in simple faith to plunge me
Neath the healing, cleansing flood!
Refrain
Yes, 'tis sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just from sin and self to cease;
Just from Jesus simply taking
Life and rest, and joy and peace.
Refrain
I'm so glad I learned to trust Thee,
Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend;
And I know that Thou art with me,
Wilt be with me to the end.

Just your hands Al? :P You know me I had to be a wiseacre. :-X
I finally got here today. This morning I was having problems getting anything on the computer. I had to restore my system to Sunday afternoon to get it operating correctly. Then Avant browser had an update I had to download.
Etta Sue I have a big 3 ring binder that I am putting my lessons in. I don't print the last page either, Should have startted using both sides of the paper from the beginning.
I found a great place online to order my inkjet cartridges, getting a 6 pack of 3 B&W and 3 Color of Epson cartridges for $49.99 A $179.00 value, Free Shipping. I did run out of both at the same time and that really surprised me.

Well, I was going to guess 1 Samuel and then look it up to make sure.
Thanks for doing that for me, Larry
Hello to you, Miss Pat and thanks for the newsletter. You haven't forgotten me and neither have I forgotten all of my CP friends. Marilyn e-mailed me and I promised I would get back on. Seems like my mornings are now tied up with learning the "Masterlife" lessons and I think that this time spent with my Lord will be the most important thing for me. I need all the help I can get in order to be a better witness for Him. This is my scary-thing-to-do area.
Please pray for me.
Maybe now I can catch up some if I get back on with you a little bit each day I get on the computer.
I see some new faces here and thankful to see my old friends.
Today 94 years ago my mother was born. She only lived to be 68 and died of cancer. My dad, too, died early when he was 66 of heart failure. I'm almost 65 myself and so very thankful to be in good health.
Etta Sue, talking of graduation...my class was the class of '57 and we will celebrate a picnic this summer! What fun. ;D ;D.and the most fun is planning it together with some of the classmates.
My verse to learn this week:
John 13:34-35 "A new command I give you; Love one another. As I have loved you so must you love one another. By this men will know you are my disciples if you love one another"
Well, good tidings - I knew the answers, too, even though I'm late getting here.
All I have is two medications to take and an appointment for a doppler scan on my neck arteries next week. Hope the dizziness leaves on its own.
Checked about retirement today - seems if I keep my retiree's medical insurance, I'll be making a profit for the company - the insurance cost per month is more than $200 higher than my pension check will be.
Hmmm - maybe I'll be working when I'm 85...
Y'all have a good day.

Hi Everyone-
Its been a busy day here as well, I tested the girls online to see where they are at-and have been doing alot of other things at the house today-Now its time for me to make dinner for my family but, wanted to drop by and say hello why I had the chance..
I have had a rough couple days and just ask for your prayers.
I want you all to know that I am thinking about you and praying for you.
Papa John I am glad that your drs appointment turned out well.
Great Pictures Neil by the way.

KATHY... So good to see you posting again.
I wish I had been on a little earlier, so we could have been online together!...LOL
RuthAnn: I am praying that this dizziness will leave you permanently! BTW - How are your sons? I am thinking of the one who you were helping to move. Is he any better? (gosh., ... I just can't recall his name right now)
Al, you beat me to it. I have a wonderful Bible program in my computer which makes it so easy to look up anything with its automatic concordance. The story of David's slaying of the giant Goliath is in I Sam. 17.
There is mention of another Goliath in 2 Sam. 21:19 and 1 Chron. 20:5.
The covenant of friendship between David and Jonathan is in 1 Samuel:
1 Sam 20:42 Jonathan said to David, "Go in peace, for we have sworn friendship with each other in the name of the LORD, saying, 'The LORD is witness between you and me, and between your descendants and my descendants forever.'" Then David left, and Jonathan went back to the town. (NIV)
Good to see everyone today. I hope you all have a good night's rest.

Re Neil's photos, hope you left a comment over in the Bi-Annual Challenge as that's where Neil will see your comment.
Love ya
Wow! Where did the day go??
Etta -- That may have been food poisoning then. I don't remember being so sick. I don't know. It came on quickly, and left just about as quickly. I know I graduated HS in '89 and college in '94 (I squeezed 4 years into 5), but I have not a clue as to what day. I'm impressed.
I hope you all have a good night. I've got to print out some lessons for my students tomorrow, then off to bed for me, I think.
Take care!
Well, it's 11 pm here. Going to go and get the new New Every Morning ready and then try to have an early night.
Maybe Janet will be home soon. Hope she's feeling a lot better today.
Speaking of Graduation, I graduated in 1957, 1975,
almost in 1977.
Pat I am going to post a question for you in the PSP thread.
I'm home! And yes, thank you, I do feel lots better today. The soreness seems to be almost gone, too.
I have posted an update on Beth's condition over in the prayer thread.
Pat, I knew the answers to the questions, too, and maybe I will be first to answer something soon. ;)
I'm tired, so heading to bed now. See you in the morning.
Ruthie, I haven't noticed any unusual amounts of bugs/worms that come from the tree. I just really do not like picking the rotten apples up from the ground.
And now, must shut the computer off and head to bed!
I know I haven't had much time to chat in here and I am sorry for that.
These days are pretty busy for me right now. After June 7th things will slow down quite a bit.
Hope you all had a wonderful day, I did.
Sleep well.
