Morning Devotional...

Behold, I come quickly...Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
Revelation 22:12, 20

Isn't that good news! He's coming quickly!

He promised it three times (vv. 7, 12, 20) in the last chapter of the Bible, and the Lord always keeps His appointments and promises. He never forgets, and is never late.

Therefore, dear believer, today, no matter what your
circumstances, there is every reason to look up and be encouraged because we have this blessed hope: He is coming soon!

H. L. Turner

It may be at morn, when the day is awaking,
When sunlight through darkness and shadow is breaking,
That Jesus will come in the fullness of glory
To receive from the world His own.

Refrain
O Lord Jesus, how long, how long
Ere we shout the glad song?
Christ returneth, Hallelujah!
Hallelujah! Amen, Hallelujah! Amen.

It may be at midday, it may be at twilight,
It may be, perchance, that the blackness of midnight
Will burst into light in the blaze of His glory,
When Jesus receives His own.

O joy! O delight! should we go without dying,
No sickness, no sadness, no dread, and no crying,
Caught up through the clouds with our Lord into glory,
When Jesus receives His own.

Hi everyone, I know i'm late getting here but today was really a long day for me. I will try and read up to what's happening a little bit later. I'm praying for you all.
I had my sensory shock test and the 3 other tests. They really hurt. It took 16 in my left leg and 14 in the right to get me to be able to feel it. Then it hurt so bad. I don't want to have to do it again and am still recooperating.
Jason is feeling down tonight with his arm so pray for him. We had a busy day with the boys today and I may be co hosting a local television show here in Kansas for a while should be fun.
If you guys have questions for Andre Crouch email them to me by noon.

Have a great day all.

Hugs,
Shawnee

LUKE 5 : 26 NIV
Everyone was amazed and give
praise to God. They were filled with
awe and said, "We have seen
remarkable things today.

Jesus forgave a man who was lame,
then showed He had authority to
forgive by healing him. As exciting
and important as this healing was,
the most important thing was the reaction
of those who witnessed it; they praise
God out of a sense of amazed awe.
They recognized that Jesus had come
to minister as God's very presence.
When we understand who Jesus is
and what He has done for us and will
continue to do for us, we do the same thing today;
we offer our praises with a sense of
amazement and awe.

PRAYER
Alminghty God and Heavenly Fahter,
i glorify Your name and thank You
for Your grace which You so lavishly
poured out on me trough Your Son and
my Saviour, Jesus, in whose name i offer
this praise.   AMEN

Hi everyone.  Want to post before leaving the house this morning as we have another full day ahead.  The contractor will be here at 7 but I will be at the "Y" to do my walking and then to coffee at the cafe.  I have a doctor's appointment with a specialist later this morning and then we have another appointment at 1:30.

Yesterday the workmen worked all day on the new heat pump being put into the attic.  They got the lines run and it is ready to set up and then be tested today so hopefully by this evening it will be working.  It was about 105 degrees in the attic where they were working a lot yesterday.

We have the strangest thing.  Yesterday evening we found that we had no dial tone on our phones.  However, we still have the DSL connection through the phone line for the Internet.  I have a friend who is retired from the telephone company and I hope to see him at coffee today.  Have to believe it is something that the workmen may have accidentally done yesterday.

Ria, sure wish we could trade some of our heat for some of your rain.  Know your house will be beautiful when you get it finished.

Pat, good devotional today.

Shawnee, what type of television program will you be doing?  Have you done television before?

It is time to leave for exercise.  Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Shawnee, I had those sensory tests a couple of years ago. Mine was to determine the extent of neuropathy from many years of diabetes. I agree - they are NOT fun.

Larry, how odd about your phones. Seems it's always something, doesn't it.

Thanks to all of you for your prayers. My mother had a saying I think I need to rely on..."This, too, shall pass."

Well, y'all have a good day. I'm needed at work early today.

Ruth Ann

Hi Everyone!

Just off to Toronto to see my aunt and Ruthie!  I'll talk to you all later.

Nice to see you posting Tracy...  No, I haven't made midi files yet but Larry can do it.   Most of the ones we use on here, we've gathered over the years from various internet sites where they are in public domain.

Larry will be able to tell you more.

Rushing off, everyone!  Be good!

Ria, what is Whitsuntide?  I have never heard of that holiday before.  Also, I am wondering what kind of floors you are getting?  It will be so nice to have your house all freshly painted and spruced up!

Larry, hope you get your dial tone back---do your phoes still work?   I was wondering if your daughter has her own kitchen facilities?

Beth has started going to the pool again three mornings a week to exercise in the water, also using her treadmill for a few minutes a few times a day.  I hope this will improve her mobility.

We have to run to town and remove the castle we used for the mother daughter banquet.  Be back later!

Hi all,

Let me try this again.

Yesterday, while typing and telling
Fast Eddie how delighted I was with his account
of the Charles Stanly cruise trip ; my keyboard
"locked up"--I could push down the keys but
couldn't type.

What fustration !!!! After three hours of tech
support and a very knowledgeable and caring
son ; I was all set up again.

But too "pooped" to talk.

I was thrilled to read about the cruise and even
more disappointed that I didn't try harder to get
out of work to go.

Thanks again for sharing.

Ruthie, oh, do I know how you feel.  My dizziness started
about 30 years ago.  One doctor diagnosed "meniere disease"

Again I got in about seven years ago and they diagnosed
Benign Positional Vertigo

Whatever the name --the merry go round spin out is not
great.  Extremely scary.

My employee just had it and after considerable testing; he was give Meclozine (spelling is probably wrong) but
whatever it is --it helped.

Can not sleep or stay or sit in one position for too long as the dizziness will start.

Also when sugar level is too low; the dizziness will start but nothing like the "merry go round " spinout.

Looks like you are getting quite a bit of testing and please keep us posted.

Prayers for you as well.

Nice to see Nita posting; hope she is doing well and also Janie--miss you.

So glad to see Kathy back ; I was wondering how you were doing..

I Know I should never have started saying names because there are way to many to mention.

Know that I read when I get a chance and think about you even when I am not here.

Love in CHrist,

Joyce

Whew! Today has not been my day.  Got up.  Took trash out.  Grass dry.  Jerry tried to start the Honda...starter is shot.  I started the Craftsman.  Went one complete round in the yard.  Noticed a flat tire.  Jerry pumped it up.  Big hole.  Went to Tractor Supply to get an inner tube.  None fit.  Got tire repair kit.  Jerry fixed tire.  Jerry mowed yard.  I showered.  Jerry went to Dr. with me.  New RX.  Ate Chinese.  Filled car up with gas...$1.98.9.  Was higher.  Repaving SR 32.  Took time to get home.  Filled out papers to mail RX in.  Took letter to mailbox.  Mailman had already been here.  Took letter to Lapel to mail.  Finally it is time to relax!!!

Jerry and I are going to Sikeston, Missouri, tomorrow and be back Friday....so we will be gone two days.  Hope you miss us.... ??? ::) :o ;D

Tracy in answer to your question about the midi files we use for the hymns, we find most of them available on the Internet.  I also have software on my computer where I can annotate the notes for a hymn and have done a couple of so that we may use here.  Usually that isn't necessary.  I also have an electronic piano that I can create midi files with but so far haven't tried to do that.  My initial attemps indicated it created more problems than it solved and it was just easier to use the software and annotate the music.  The software I have will also take a midi and show you the music that creates it.

We just got back a little bit ago from the doctor's appointment and then taking care of some business at a lawyer's office.  I basically decided to do nothing at this time with the high prostate reading as even should I ultimately be determined to have prostate cancer I probably wouldn't treat it due to the weakness of my heart.  This is a very slow growing cancer.  It would be dangerous for me to even have a biopsy done as would have to stay off the blood thinning medicines for 2 weeks.  I will continue to monitor the PSA count with another test in 6 months.  So I will just put this out of my mind until time for the next blood test.

Janet, I talked with my friend who is retired from the telephone company and he told me to check the box on the outside of the house with a phone and I have a dial tone.  That means the problem is somewhere in my house.  He is coming by in the morning.  In the meantime I put a splitter at the box and used a long cord to a telephone in the kitchen and so the DSL line, which still works fine, is available.  He will have to get in the attic and it will be cooler early in the morning.  They have been putting in the heat pump up there yesterday and today and it is over 100 degrees in the attic, even with the exhaust fan going.

Joyce, these computers can really be frustrating.  Glad you are back in business with yours.  It sounds like you have lived with dizziness for a really long time.  Guess we will just have to shake you and Ruth Ann and Pat up in a sack since you all experience it.  That is one thing I can remember having only a few times in my entire life.

Marilyn, with the price of ink cartridges, sure hated to hear of the problem you had with your printer.

Hi Karmat, Ria and to all who will stop by later today.  I have choir practice tonight so doubt that I will check in here again until tomorrow.  I actually have a day without appointments or commitments tomorrow, at least after exercise and coffee.

Etta Sue, I think you and I were posting at the same time.  You have had one of those days.  Now tomorrow and Friday should be great.  Hope you and Jerry have a nice trip.

JOYCE:  Just for the fun of it, I checked out the website for the Stanley cruise.  It is all sold out, except for the $4000 suite's. www.templetontours.com  The owner is a christian and has other cruises going.

The Gaither's are having a cruise as well as Focus on the Family.

I'm glad that we took a christian cruise, so that we didn't have to deal with some things that are a normal part of a regular cruise.

I've always wanted to take a Christian cruise.  :) K-LOVE is doing a cruise with Christian musicians that you all might want to check out and tell your families about. I don't have the website handy but I have been told the artists on the cruise are very good.
As far as my day, My interview with Andre went very well. Thank you for your questions.  :) I didn't realize he sang a lot of my favorite songs from when I was a little girl. Like "Through It All", "Soon and Very Soon", and Jesus is the Answer.
I haven't done professional television before. I have done my high school news program every Friday for a few years. I used to do it so I could get out of homework. LOL. Then I would hide when it aired. Get into trouble for it too. LOL.
Kids are playing today. We are going to make cookies later and rearrange the living room.
I pray you all have a very blessed day.

Hugs and Welcome to those who have returned.

While the hunt for the correct treatment continues, the doppler scan on my carotid arteries yesterday shows that "my pipes" are clear and running fine.

June, I'm taking Meclizine twice daily and also 1/2 of another pill - I think it's Robinal. At any rate, neither have stopped the dizzy episodes.

Ah, well, aren't we advised to "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding?"  (Proverbs 3:5) So now's the time to trust, obey, and leave the situation in His most capable Hands.

Y'all have a great evening.

It sounds as if everyone has had a busy day today.  I have, too.  After swimming, we went and got the castle and brought it home, then I started working on framing jobs.  I cut 9 mats and backs, then decided it was time to clean the framing room.  So that took a while.  I will take Diane some of the strips of foamcore as she has use for them.  I also called one of the churches and asked if they would like to have a bunch of scraps to use for Bible School or Children's Church.  Now I will have more room to work upstairs!

Tomorrow is Abby's last day of school and she wants me to come get her for a few days, so I will do that after my painting class.

Ruth Ann, I hope you get relief from that dizziness!  Goodness, that doesn't sound fun at all.  God bless you.

Oh!  Pentecost!!  Now I understand, Ria, and yes, the churches do celebrate that here in the US.  At least the Spirit-filled ones do, I'm not sure about the others.  Thanks for explaining, Marilyn.

Larry, we will continue to keep you in our prayers.

Pat, I am thinking of you today and praying you have had a good day.  (((hugs)))

Hi, Judy Mc!  How you doing?  :D

Soni, I look forward to the new dance photos of Chandraya.

Need a grin?

President Bush . . . Is That You?
Recently while going through an airport during one of his many trips, President Bush encountered a man with silver hair, wearing a white robe and sandals, holding a staff.

President Bush went up to the man and said, "Aren't you Moses?"

The man never answered but just kept staring ahead.

Again the President said, "Moses!" in a loud voice.

The man just kept staring ahead, never answering the president.

Soon a secret service agent came along and President Bush grabbed him and said, "Doesn't this man look like Moses to you?"

The secret service agent agreed with the President.

"Well," said the President, "Every time I say his name, he just keeps staring ahead and refuses to speak. Watch!"

Again, the President yelled, "Moses!" and again the man stared ahead.

The secret service man went up to the man in the white robe and whispered, "You look just like Moses. Are you Moses?"

The man leaned over and whispered, "Yes, I am Moses. But the last time I talked to a bush, I spent 40 years wandering in the desert!"

ALASKA:  The christian cruise we went on was up the inside passage to Alaska.  We stopped in 3 ports and we parked right by the glacier field while Charles Stanley had a prayer service, a short one at that.

We didn't have the time available to take a land trip in combination with the cruise, as well as staying over longer to visit the Canadian Rockies (we weren't that far from them)
