Morning Devotional...And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Ephesians 4:30
The Holy Spirit has emotions as a person.
When one receives Christ the Holy Spirit enters them (1 Cor. 12:13). The Holy Spirit is holy and His goal is to make us holy.
When we sin He is deeply grieved and our joy in the Lord leaves us. His goal is to convict us of sin (Jn. 16:6).
Let us not hinder the Spirit's work in our lives. Is there unconfessed sin? Confess it to God and to those you have hurt by sinning.
Today let us make the Spirit glad, not sad.

Cleanse Me (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/now.mid)
(Click to hear music)
Search me, O God, and know my heart today;
Try me, O Savior, know my thoughts I pray.
See if there be some wicked way in me;
Cleanse me from ev'ry sin and set me free.
I praise Thee, Lord, for cleansing me from sin;
Fulfill Thy Word and make me pure within.
Fill me with fire where once I burned with shame;
Grant my desire to magnify Thy name.
Lord, take my life and make it wholly Thine;
Fill my poor heart with Thy great love divine.
Take all my will, my passion, self and pride;
I now surrender, Lord--in me abide.
O Holy Ghost, revival comes from Thee;
Send a revival--start the work in me.
Thy Word declares Thou wilt supply our need;
For blessings now, O Lord, I humbly plead.

Good morning everyone! :coffee: Janet, I'm so glad to hear that good news!
*ALERT* ALERT* ALERT*"This is an official Gallery alert! Proceed immediately to the gallery in an orderly fasion, this is not a drill." There are lots of new shots to ogle, and comment on. :thumbsup: :groupwave: :wave:
Good Morning, Thans Pat for he devotional today.
Hello Ritz you are up early as well.
Not much happened around here since I last posted. I have had a good night's rest a cup of coffee, the dogs are fed and been out for thier business. I have done my Bible reading and spent about an hour in prayer. I love spending time with God early in the morning it is our quiet time together. As the dawn breaks I can say "Thank you Lord, for another day here on this earth".
Today I am taking Leroy to Eureka to deliver a video for his TV program "The Healing Stream" on the local access channels. Then I will take him grocery shopping. He will put gas in my car as we have to make another trip to Eureka on Friday.
"The Bible is filled with example and teaching
On how to avoid all the pitfalls of sin:
And if we will learn fom its people and precepts,
The struggles and battles of life we can win."
Hess
"A warning heeded is disaster avoided."
I almost forgot the tell you. Yesterday I got a letter from our medicaid (MediCal in California) office. I had reapplied for some help since my income has gone down consideraly since Joanne passed away and I don't plan on taking on another client/patient. (For those who do not know I am a Professional Care Provider) The state is going to pay my Medicare premium and all my deductibles that my Helath insurance does not pay. I am still keeping my Heath Insurance because I have a better choice than I would on just the Medicare and MediCal. Not every doctor accepts MediCal [/b]
Pat Yes indeed The Holy Spirit convicts and we easily regain communion when we confess. Thank you for the reminder.
Marilyn I have often wondered do you get paid for the trips you take with people? Also with the price of gas I hope you get that covered.
The hills are now covered with a spring green, the trees are in leaf. It is so beautiful. Pat how are your gardens coming? I am sure you will have new pictures.
Janet that is indeed a difficult decision. I would love to see the mountains again. Unfortunately it will be awhile, Too many other committments.
Well bye for now and God bless.
HI everyone. After some lightning and thunder last night and some rain, we have a most beautiful day today. I don't have anything that requires me to leave the house until time for choir practice this evening.
Janet, that is wonderful news for Beth and know it is a big relief to you. I am sure your prayers have been answered.
Marilyn, also glad you are getting the assistance you need and that your request was approved.
Ritz, I liked your posting and call for action.
Pat, the handicapped permit is very helpful in not having to park at the end of a parking lot. I have a hanidcapped tag as both Pat and I have handicapped permits but when we went to Florida I lost my hanger card that I had gotten for my other car or when riding with someone else. I see my cardiologist next month and have the paperwork ready for him and will ask him to approve another one. Our daughters doctor gave her the paperwork to get a handicap plate or hanger but she wasn't ready to acknowledge that she would ever need it. I think she has changed her mind now but now can't find the papers so will have to get new ones.
I have a lot I want to get done today so better get busy. I have seven sermon tapes sitting her that I need to get digitized plus several other projects. Hope everyone has a good day.
Coni, welcome to CP.
I look out my window here toward the West, and there's a row of cedar trees, along with a few pines. When the sun comes up and shines upon those trees, it's absolutely beautiful. It's happening right now.
Janet - so glad for the medicare for Beth - I had thought you must already have it.
Well, good night's sleep, no have to think about the old fitness center again.
Judyb I get paid $6.75 per hour, which is my regular pay, for my time and that is all. I do not get compensated for my gas or repairs to my car. Since gas prices have gone up, I have told my clients that I need help from them if they want me to take them places.
Fay puts extra time on my time sheet as well as giving me cash. She also pays me when I do sewing for her.
Jan lets me go early but still pays me the same amount of $10. per hour as if I had been there all that time. She is my cash client.$40. no matter how long I have been there usually about 2½-3½ hours.
Leroy puts gas on his credit card when we go out and about. When his car is repaired I will drive his car.
$6.75 per hour is not enough $$ the union has been trying for 2 years to get this county to give is a raise up to $8.00 per hour but this county so far refuses to give us a raise. Most other counties in California pay the Care Providers $8. to $8:50 per hour.
I am having a problem with my keyboard, I am typing all the letters but I find that it is not printing all the letters I end up with a lot of mispellings and since I downloaded IE7 beta my Google automatic spell checker /fixer isn't working. It only shows me the miss spelled words now and doesn't automatically correct hem.
Darrel and I just got home from exercising. It is cool and cloudy here today, really nice.
Today is our Red Hat luncheon, and I am taking Beth. She needs to get out occasionally. She can be a Pink Hatter, without a hat. ;) They are meeting at our town's newest restaurant. Everybody always wants to try out the new places, don't they? :)
As for the day's plans, I need to do some cleaning. I have let this house go while doing things at Beth's, and being gone for three days. So it's time to get with the program again. :cool:
I had a nice visit with Soni a couple days ago. She and Mike and the kids are doing well, and she seemed so happy. I'm glad for them. We enjoyed them so much when we met them in South Dakota.
Those photos in the challenge are just great! Very original! I can't wait to get a new camera and rejoin the ranks of the posters! :D
My spirit is rejoicing in our wonderful Lord who answers all our prayers. Thank you, God, that Beth will be getting some help!!

I'm still at the "tidying stage", Judy. No pictures.
I'd like to get a new BBQ and a nice round table with a couple of chairs and an umbrella for my deck! ;) I'm enjoying my deck so much. I love to sit out there in the morning with my Bible. Right now I'm going through Romans along with Al's studies that are here on the site. I'm printing them out and putting them into a binder.

I'm not sure if we can get some sort of permanent or semi permanent cover for the permits here. I'd like one. I remember going out to Idaho with Dad and his blew out the window while we were on I-80! :eek: We were fortunate to be in a very sparsely traveled section and I was able to walk back and retrieve it.
Beth got the hanging placard first, and then when I went to get the tag for the van, I told them I wanted a permanent tag. The girl argued with me, saying that we could only have the handicapped license plate if the handicapped person were to be doing the driving! How dumb is that? I told her the handicapped person is not able to drive any more, and I WANT THE PLATE!! So, after I took the van over to the cop shop for the inspection and returned, the other girl in the office waited on me, and the first thing she did, without a word, was to go over and pick up the plate from the box. :idiot:
We still have the hanging one, and will keep it in case we use the other car to take her anywhere.
Time to get busy!

GÔ¿ÔD Morning!!!
Spring in Indiana is wonderful. I love the warm weather and the cool weather....lots better than hot and cold. And the less utility bills!! So nice to go somewhere without a jacket or coat. Love listening to the birds singing early in the morning. But most of all, I love traveling the country roads and seeing all the baby animals....calves, lambs, kids, colts, etc.
I am sure not getting much accomplished today.
Last evening was a bon voyage party for my great-niece....she is in the Navy and leaves Thursday for Japan for two years!!! Glad we have emails! Been running my photos through PSP.
And Ivalou got herself a new TV for her bedroom...she is electronic illiterate so wants me to plug everything in for her. It is still in the box!
I did get the yard mowed yesterday...said 50% chance of rain this afternoon but the skies are cloudless!
I need to go to the bank and deposit a check and walk my half hour! Better get on the move.
Oh, yes! I have to prepare my devotion for next week and post the new NEM one tonight for tomorrow!!

Pat: Thanks for the devotional.
Also thanks for the unique and beautiful card. I have added the link to my favorites.
I have a load of laundry in drying and so hope the bell soon sounds before leaving for work. I also have to stop at the drug store to purchase one of the Olay creams as it contains some sun screen, I found that it did not burn my eyes like some of the other products on the shelves do.
Have a great day. Ruth
Happy Birthday Ruth
Happy Birthday Ruth!

Hey everyone! I think I lost a day this week. ???
Yesterday was my turn for "the procedure" and it was not the most pleasant experience of my life. :-\
For the first time I had nausea and chills along with the other obvious effect of the prep. Then, although my neighbor and I got to day surgery before my appointment time, I sat there for nearly two hours before they called me. :ticked: It seems my doctor had seven scheduled and I was the last one. He did say "I saved the best for last" but small consolation by then! My neighbor had asked how long before she should come back for me and they told her 2 hours. When she came back and I was still sitting where she'd left me she thought I was already done .... nope, haven't even started yet! She left again and was called later. I didn't get home until after 4 o'clock! And I was "hongree" Oh well, that's all behind me for another few years. Doc says everything's just fine ... didn't find anything this time. :thumbsup:
My mother died with colon cancer and my daughter died with pancreatic cancer so this puts me in the "high risk" category and there have been polyps found before. I've added a lot of fiber to my diet and I think that's made the difference. Okay, TMI
Marilyn, I get help from the State also for medicare premiums. I have TriCare through the military that picks up the other 20% so I'm covered 100% now and that helps tremendously. Especially so when these special procedures are necessary. Last year I had needed a biobsy and I saw the bill .... WOW BIG BUCKS :o (that I didn't have to pay ;D)
I think I'll just kick back and take it easy (again) today. It is a beautiful day here and I have my porch fixed so I can sit out there and enjoy all the amenities. I have Rhodies and Azaleas and tulips and roses and rosemary all in bloom -- and that's just in my yard! God is good -- All the time!
Jane I'm happy that all that's behind you now! (No pun intended...well yeah maybe just a little ;)) Happy you have a clean report! :thumbsup:
Happy birthday Ruth! I need to lookk at the bottom of the screen more!

;D The receptionist apologized for the long wait by saying "Somehow you"re the
tailend for the doctor today!" .... :-[ :lol:
HAHAHA! What puns! :lol:
It's my opinion that being able to laugh at oneself, is what makes us truely joyfull beings! Hey with the life I've had so far...I'l be giggling when I'm 120! I have lot's of material to work with! :lol: :D ;D ;) <3
Me too Ritz! :lol:
:cheer: Hi Gareth Parkes! :groupwave:
In case you don't know Pat....She can make even the most serious situations easier because of her sence of humour!
Yes Our God does have a sense of humour. So many situations we can laugh at, just because of His Humour.
Been out today, it is +25 and it was wonderful driving with the windows down. John is off to work, a little ticked as he wanted to leave in the morning, and his trailler was in for service, thus not ready to go till after 3. He is a morning person and late departuires don't work well.
Well I am off to prepare supper, and a lazy evening. Tomorrow is going to be cooler, and I will be mowing. WOOHOO that is a job I love.
Bye for now
Judy
Yes, God has a great sense of humor.....He created US, didn't he? ;) :)
I just received a box which contains the prints of three of my paintings, and I'm anxious to open it and see how they look! Then soon it will be time for church, so see you all tomorrow.
JudyB, if you love to mow, you can sure come over and help Darrel mow this 5 acres! ;)
Had a busy day today running around in Eureka. Go homepicked up the grass that was cut yesterday,made two phone calls. Brought in a few groceries and the case f canned dog food that I bought. Now I am tired and after supper will go to curch.
TTYL
Jane - I know all about all those reactions to the prep and to the colonoscopy itself. I'm very glad you're through with it for a while.
Jane I too relate. Nasty procedure.
Janet If you lived closer I would love to mow your acres.
The kids are asleep and I a, having a quiet evenng alone. I am grabbing the latest Readers Digest, my glasses and I am off.
See you all tomorrow.
Thanks for the Birthday Wishes.
Ruth
If anyone ever tries to tell you that God doesn't have a sense of humor...point them to the Duck Billed Platypus! Nuf Said! :thumbsup:
It that time again. Time to close up shop.
But the nice thing, is you may continue posting here. (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=5361.msg98405#msg98405)
