Morning Devotional...

Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them.
Numbers 10:2

How delightfully consistent is the plan of God for direction to His people.

The duplication of these trumpets remind us of the unity, and yet diversity of His message to us.

Guidance is available for every individual and each circumstance. Yet the fact that these trumpets were made from one (whole) piece of silver reminds us that all messages to God's people must have a common center--the pure Word of God.
--Garry W. Seale

Teach me to do the thing that pleaseth Thee;
Thou art my God, in Thee I live and move;
Oh, let Thy loving Spirit lead me forth,
Into the land of righteousness and love.

REMEMBERINGSDAY  WW2 In Holland 11.56

PAT thank you for the devotional this morning and the lovely poem.

LARRY thank you for the Hymn "Our Song To Victory" the words and the the musik are very lovely.

JOYCE thank you very much for the very lovely website they you have put on CP yesterday it was

very great.

Today we have Rememberingsday WW2 in Holland. This evening from 6.00 -8.00PM are all the flags hanging half mast.
In Veendam where i live is at 7.00PM church after that there is a silent walk to different places Monuments and to the graves of 10 English pilots their planes are shoot down to the Germans. And we can lay flowers or wreaths
on all the places.
This is in every place in Holland also on the Canadian and American war cemetrys there shall be a lot people also there are coming flower and wreaths.
The Queen is in Amsterdam there is a great monument there she lay a wreath also a lot from the government shall lay a wreath and a lot other people.
Exact at 8.00 Pm there shall be in Holland 2 minutes silent
for all the people and soldiers and that are a lot who have give their lives
but also we are now thinking on the people and soldiers who are now living in war.
It is now 59 years after WW2 but it is not forgetten what is happend. The story's are going from grandparents to their children and they tell it to their children. Also today are the children a lot learn on the schools about WW2. WE ARE NOT FORGETTEN ALL THE YOUNG MAN AND WOMAN
WHICH HAVE GIVEN THEIR LIVES IN THAT TIME. ALSO NOT ALL THE JEWISH PEOPLE WHO ARE GOING TO GERMANY AND NEVER ARE COME BACK. In Germany in Auswitch in one barrack is on this moment lay the hair clothes shoes
from Jewish people so that each can seen what is happend. They have say they are getting a shower
but it was gas. Also in Holland in Westerbork from there are going the trains not normal trains. But  in trains where normal cows in are so are the Jewish people gone to Germany. But in Westerbork there is a museum and there you can see how the people there have lived. And there are also things to see what the people have left behind.  It has been terrible. And that can we forgetten never.

The Lord is the strenght of His people.
Save your people and bless your inheritance;
be their shapherd and carry them forever.

                          SECURE IN HIS LOVE

The One who made the world, created life,
                                 and prepared eternity,
holds us as a Shepherd carries His lambs...
in His power, in His love, we are secure.

Love and prayerfully for you all

Good Tuesday morning to you all! It's very cold here in Nashville, so I'm bundled up like it is late autumn.

Ria, thanks for telling us about the day in Holland. I certainly would love to come to see your country for myself. It seems a great place to be and everyone who has been there tells me I would really enjoy being there.

Y'all have a good day. It's early to work for me today - lots to do.

Good morning all!

Ria, I am glad to hear that the message and atrocities of WWII are being remembered.  It is indeed a sad time in history, but more troubling to me is that as time goes on, it becomes less important and is almost relegated to just a story in the history books.  May we never, ever forget.

We have earnestly and officially entered Potty Boot Camp today.  We have been "piddling" for some months, but today he woke up dry, so we are doing the underpants and everything right now.  Only one accident so far.  Maybe I need to lay newspapers around.  ahhaha

Our internet connnection is still froggy, at best, and slower than molasses in the winter, so please pardon me if I am not around much today.

Take care ya'll, and be good.  Don't work too hard Ruth Ann!

Good Morning Pat thank you for posting the devotional and for all you hard work here on CP and on SN.

I have been woking on my PSP lessons Lots of fun. So I problably won't be on much , but I will come in at least once or twice a day to read and hopefully I will have something to say.

I am going to Bea's to do more packing, the moving truck will be there tomorrow. Her son was there but took off early yesterday morning without doing anything to help. So Bea has been doing a lot by herself.  I hope she hasn't done too much and make herself sick or something.

I sent some of you a prayer request last night Pat would you please post it in prayers so everyone can pray.

Must go now and read the other folders and get going to work.

Another cool day in Indiana....only 49°F.

This evening is our Small Groups meeting.  Just two weeks until they all come here.  I am jazzed and scared both.  Again, living in a mobile home for 30+ years, I didn't do much entertaining.  Now I have a house and plenty of parking space so I will try it and see how it works for me and others.

I must not forget to vote, also!!

Scroll past this if you know all about the new viruses and how to deal with them but for those who haven't been notified, the following LONG message is from my ISP...

Dear Rogers Hi-Speed Internet Customer

We are sending this Virus Alert to update you on two critical viruses that are circulating on the Internet:
The SASSER Virus and the NETSKY Virus.

SASSER VIRUS INFORMATION (NETSKY VIRUS INFORMATION IS BELOW)

A. SASSER KEY MESSAGE:
All customers using Windows 2000 or Windows XP should immediately run Windows Update at http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com

B. SASSER VIRUS OVERVIEW:
This virus is spreading rapidly across the Internet. Unlike viruses sent via Email attachments, this 'worm' virus can infect computers by taking advantage of a security vulnerability in Windows 2000 and Windows XP. It can be spread from computer to computer with no user intervention.

C. SASSER - SYMPTOMS OF INFECTION:
If your computer has been infected, the SASSER virus will cause your computer to frequently restart. While your computer is rebooting, you may also see pop-up systems messages regarding "NT Authority\System" or "LSA Shell". Your computer will attempt to infect other computers without your knowledge.

D. SASSER - HOW TO KEEP YOUR COMPUTER FROM BEING INFECTED

1. Run Windows Update:
All customers using Windows 2000 and Windows XP users should run Windows Update at http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and follow the on-screen instructions to patch their systems and avoid infection.

2. Update your virus protection software:
If you already have virus protection software installed on your computer, you should update it immediately. If you do not have virus protection software installed on your computer, Rogers, in conjunction with McAfee, is offering an Internet Security Solution which includes virus protection. You can get more information from: http://www.rogers.com/mcafee

E. SASSER - HOW TO REMOVE IT IF YOU THINK YOUR COMPUTER HAS BEEN INFECTED

1. Download and run McAfee's Free Virus Removal Tool - Stinger
If you believe that your computer has been infected, McAfee has released a stand-alone virus removal tool which can detect and can remove this virus. Their free 'Stinger' virus removal tool can be downloaded from their Website:
http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/

NOTE: Stinger can only remove the virus, it does not protect your computer from future infection by this virus or any other virus. For more details on Virus Protection offered by Rogers and McAfee please visit http://www.rogers.com/mcafee

2. Run Windows Update:
After removing the virus, you should install the Microsoft update to be protected from the SASSER virus:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS04-011.mspx

3. Update your virus protection software:
If you already have virus protection software installed on your computer, you should update it immediately. Are You Washed in the Blood? (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/washed.mid)
(Click to hear music)

Elisha A. Hoffman, 1839-1929

And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest.
And he said to me, These are they
which came out of great tribulation,
and have washed their robes, and made them
white in the blood of the Lamb.
Revelation 7:14

Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Chorus:
Are you washed in the blood,
In the soul cleansing blood of the Lamb?
Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Are you walking daily by the Savior's side?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Do you rest each moment in the Crucified?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Chorus

When the Bridegroom cometh will your robes be white?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Will your soul be ready for the mansions bright,
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Chorus

Lay aside the garments that are stained with sin,
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb;
There's a fountain flowing for the soul unclean,
O be washed in the blood of the Lamb!

Chorus

Ria, thank you for telling us how your country is remembering the sacrifices of so many during WWII.  It does help to know that those who sacrificed everything are being remembered.  So many now are trying to deny that the Holocaust ever happened!  Unbelievable..........it hasn't been that long ago.

I heard on the news this morning that the constitution of the new European Union will not have even ONE mention of God.  :'( :'(  What a world we live in today.

A big welcome to Ellie!

I should have refreshed before posting, as I got sidetracked with some phone calls and now several more have posted.  Oh, well, I can always post again. :)

Hi everyone.  It was a very cool night here in Georgia but bright and sunny today and suppose to warm up. This is Tuesday so it is Calvin Cove day for me and Pat will go with me to fix the chldren's packets for the service next Sunday.

I certainly agree with the comments regarding the actions of a few people in Iraq.  I fear that something like this will further galvinize the Islamic world against us and many more troops and others will die as a result.  It certainly brings dishonor on our country.  It only takes a few bad apples to spoil the batch.  Deplorable.

Ursaula, glad you were able to check in from Wyoming.  It appears more and more motels and hotels are equipping their rooms with wireless connections or at least Internet access.

Pat, thanks for putting in the information on the Sasser virus.  I checked and am up-to-date.  I just read that Gladys, our friend from SeniorNet, apparently has one of these computer viruses.  She has such a time with her computer as it is.  I guess these viruses, worms, etc. are just another manifestion of the evil that exists in our world.

Ellie, welcome to CP.  Hope you will have a laptop in your RV when you and your spouse take to the roads so you can stay in touch and share some of the beautiful and interesting pictures you will be taking.

Karmat, sure hope boot camp doesn't last too long!  :D

Ria, thanks for sharing the information on your Remembering Day.

Janet, sure hope they find the cause of your sister's problems quickly.

RIA:  Thank you for the nice post on "Remembering Day"  In the late 80's we were in The Netherlands and visited Corrie ten Boom's "Hiding Place" in Haarlem.  Too bad we didn't know of the museum in Westerbork.  We did visit Dachau Concentration Camp, in Germany.  A very sobering experience.

It was so nice to see that your country still honors by remembering what took place in WWII.  Over here, it seems as though we may be on the verge of forgetting the sacrifice that so many made or at least ignoring it most of the time.

Your country's underground network saved many lives also.

As gruesome as they are, recent pictures and mini-series remind us once again of the ultimate sacrifice made by so many.

Thank you for the reminder.

My sister called and said she is feeling better today.  She said the Dr's office called and said they found nothing bad in her tests as yet.  So I'm hoping she continues to improve.  Her birthday is tomorrow, maybe that will cheer her up even more.

I've been out in the garden trying to get some of the winter stuff tidied up.  And now just as I sit down to post to you, Geordie is barking so loudly.  I better so and see what's up.

Nice to see you Ed.  You've been missed.

Hi June!  Nice to see you popping in regularly now.  I love reading your cheerful messages to us.

Ria, it's wonderful to see what Holland is doing to remember WW2.  We have our big day in November.  But then many other days of the year too are remembered--anniversaries of specific battles where the loss of life was heavy or that we were victorious.

Let's always remember what the troops did in 1939-1945

Hope Chris and Margit got away safely.  Long trip!

Hi Soni!  You and Ursula are both in the same state today!  LOL

Hi Janet!  Larry, love your "one-liners".

Back to my gardening...  It's chilly out there but better than being too hot.

Sonja, I haven't commented on your new picture so let me say it is a lovely picture.  I like it much better than the one with the glasses balanced on your nose.

Larry, we had a cool night here too but it has warmed up with beautiful sunshine.

Pat, the portrait of Emma is really precious.

Greetings, greetings, greetings!   ;D

I had just finished scanning and posting some pictures in the 1st May challenge, and Gene came home from bible study so I've been sitting talking with him for a while.   Those men have some really interesting sessions.  Gene always comes home all "pumped up".

Today I did something really dumb!  :-[  I locked my keys in my car while I was at Dollar General.  Thank goodness, my friend Dee came and rescued me, brought me home so I could get the spares and bring my car home.  I had to call Darrel on his cell phone to ask where the spare keys were.  But the last time I did that stunt was in the middle of a blizzard, and I was in Dodge City.  At least I could have walked home today if necessary..........it would only have been about three miles.

See you all tomorrow!

Marilyn, what is the file extension of the gold gradient and where did you put it on your computer?  Did you put it in your gradients folder in the JASC program?

Time to lock the door.

Let's all try to post at least once tomorrow and maybe twice and if you notice one of our members who has been absent for awhile, how about dropping them a PM and letting them know that we miss them.

Here's a link to tomorrow's topic (http://christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=2784.0)
