Morning Devotional...

God said unto Noah...the earth is filled with violence.
Gen. 6:13

But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Matthew 24:37

We live in a violent world--fighting, terrorism, gangsterism!

Beloved let us not be discouraged or even surprised at such an increase of violence. Rather let us take courage and see it as one more indication that He who promised, "Behold I come quickly" may be on the very threshold.

Let us also reach out with the gospel, so that He finds us not only watching but also working, when He comes to take us into His peaceful presence.
                                                                               --David Croudace

Let us then be true and faithful,
trusting, serving every day;
Just one glimpse of Him in glory
shall the toils of life repay.
Eliza Hewitt

I've posted some photos that I took a couple of years ago here in Guelph...

The famous poem from World War 1, "In Flanders' Field" was written by one of our native sons here in Guelph.

I think that you will enjoy the photos.

PAT~I've just been on the tour of the Col. McCrae Museum ... very impressive, and I commend you on the assembling of photos and commentary.  I remember memorizing In Flanders Field when I was in school.  I think many of us can say the same thing.

9.30 a.m. England.

              WE SHALL REMEMBER THEM

"Where sin abounded, Grace did much more abound:
That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might Grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord." Rom 5:20-21.

Pat thank-you for the devotional and the Remembrance of the Dear Ones who died in all Our Wars. I shall be having a look later when Christopher comes home as he has some more pictures to post from the Battlefields.

At 11 a.m. Hopefully everything stops here for the minute's silence to remember, although our main Remembrances were on Sunday last, it is Armistice Day today.

A very dull, overcast and cold morning here.  I pray the sun will come out soon.

Rachelle You are an amazing mother.  May the Lord bless you and your dear family...always.

Sad news today of a 16 year old boy with a history of mental problems and self harm who took his own life in a prison cell where he was waiting for sentence re petty theft. Lord Have Mercy upon us that this still happens.

Love in Jesus' Name,
Jenny.

HEYYYYYY!!!!!!  Everybody wake up!!!!!!  Where the phooey is everyone?  Wow.  Am I early??  Is it a teacher's workday?  Did Karma go to bed early last night?????  Where is everyone???

:)

Hey, Ria.  Sorry it's rainy there.  I hope you have a really good day today.  Just take a moment, look at yourself in the mirror, and say "God loves me so much that He died on a horrible cross just so I could be in His presence."  I love that concept.  God thinks you are the greatest.  He carries your picture in his wallet.  He watches you sleep and tingles with joy because He thinks you are the cutest thing.  He makes it rain so you will have water to drink.  He loves you, Ria, and He wants you to know that.

Gotta get with it!  Good day, all!

Jenny:  I see that you are online now!  Did you have a good day?

It is Veteran's Day here today and so many people easily forget the sacrifices.

As for some of the missing posters, it would be interesting to find out why they are gone - if their internet time is limited and so forth.  Did anyone hear if Ursula moved to Wyoming?

Good Morning, Marilyn checking in here. The sun is just coming  over the mountains but I couldn't tell  you what kind of a day it will be other that it will be a Blessed day.

Pat thank you for the devotional.

I want to tell you all that I did not forget to pray for all the military men and their families and for the peace of Jerusalem.

Rachelle: I like the Healing ministries web site and found that will be one opening  very near me in Arcata california very soon. I have heard of John G. Lake on many instances from many TV preachers. Like Ken Copeland, Billy Brim was on his program and did a teaching from John G. Lake about 1 1/2 years ago.

Good Morning Everyone...

It's a drizzly day here in Guelph.

Nice to see so many messages to read already.  Glad to see you all here.

What are your plans for this day?  Guess Ria and Jenny and Iain and the Saunders are already nearly through their day so tell us what you did!

Talk to you later

By the way, I notice that some of our members have great difficulty with our fellow's name over there on the Isle of Lewis.  It's the Gaelic way of spelling our common name of Ian.  You just put an "i" in between the "a" and the "n".  So, it's

I-A-I-N...

Try it, you'll like it!

Now...  wasn't that easy??

(Speaking of Iain, where is he today?  Let's all call him really loudly!)

Dark and dreary and rainy here.   The only reason I have for sleeping later than usual.

Today is the day I am going to get Jerry and then take him to get his eyes examined and possibly new glasses.  He needs to discuss this with the doctor in that he had a stroke that effected his eye sight.  Will his eye sight improve with the rest of his body?  Then we will return here until time to leave for our Small Group meeting.  A great day!!!

Sonja: yes I still have my Picture it program, I haven't  installed it  yet. I can always uninstall what I have downloaded. But with 80 Gigs in this new computer I have so much storage space I will probably never use it up in my lifetime LOL.

You will never believe what Bebe (my dog) just did. She howls frequently when the music for the commercials comes on the TV.  She was howling and just as I turned to look at her and talk to her,She walked up to the TV and shut it off with her nose.

HEY, IAIN!!!!!  WHERE ARE YOU????

Was that loud enough, Pat?  ;D

Karma and Sonja--those wipes sound terrific!  They surely didn't have those when my kids were small.  I remember when I was 6 years old, my parents got their very first RADIO!  It was a big occasion at our house!  The radio sat on a stand, and had a big battery on a shelf underneath.  Anyway, the speakers of the radio had a neat wooden scroll over a burlap type fabric, tan in color.  I had a new box of crayons...........and I took my orange and very carefully went inside the scroll design, drawing a nice orange outline on the fabric.  Now, why wasn't Mom pleased with my artistic efforts? :-\ ??? ???  I thought it looked SO beautiful..... ???

Isn't it fun how some little comment triggers our memories?  Thanks, girls!

This is Veterans Day here in the US......a day to remember our military personnel and to honor them.  It used to be called Armistice Day here, too, but they changed the name to Veterans Day.  The American Legion is hosting a bean and cornbread feed, and will be honoring all the veterans who attend, so I want to go, with my very favorite veteran, Darrel.  :)

I found this little poem and wanted to share it here on this special day.

Veteran's Day

Today we honor veterans
They're heros, one and all.
In time of war, in time of peace,
They answered their country's call.

We thank them for our freedom,
Also those who came before
Who fought against oppression,
In the air, the seas, the shore.

So we take today to thank them
And to pray that God will bless
The veterans still among us,
And the memory of those at rest.

hehehe.  Janet, at my mom's house, there is still an abundance of evidence of when I was learning ot write!  She has pine paneling, so it's not like it would just wipe off or soemthing.  It's fun to look at now, and fortunately, most of it is covered with furniture or pictures.

We also have some early artwork by Master Travis, already, as well.

::)

Could y'all please say a prayer for Bernard's mom?  She lost her brother to cancer last night.  He was a believer, so he is in a much better place, but even that doesn't take away all the pain.

A very quick run in to tell you that I have received emails and I wll be answering as soon as possible.

My 88 yr. old mom took a nasty fall yesterday--severe head trauma and we spent about 6 hrs. in the hospital--till around 3 am; so I am a little tired.

Praise the Lord --the CAT Scan showed no concussion and she looks well.

Have to pick up antibiotics and cream for head --about 14 stitches and make sure she is set for the day; but I will return later.

Please take care and as always,

Love in Christ,

Joyce

Thank you Pat for the devotional......  At my work we had to stand for 2 minutes while we listened to Flander's Fields...   We are grateful for the people who gave their lives so our country could be FREE.

It reminds me also of Jesus who gave His life that we all can go FREE, and give us ETERNAL LIFE.   Praise God.

5.10 p.m. U.K.

Pat   What did I do today? Not a lot I am afraid. I'm not feeling too good, nothing serious, just under the weather.  Iceland Foods delivered my grocery order this morning and I spent time putting it away into the freezer, fridge and onto the shelves etc., As you can imagine with two cats and a little Yorkie to feed there were lots and lots of pet food cans.
I did some hand washing but it is hanging round the house as it has drizzled with rain all day.  Then I went for a quick ride to the post box...the one behind this house.  I didn't venture across the road, my reflexes are not working well.

My daughter Helen phoned me.  She had a bad dose of flu and now the doctor's are very worried that she may have to go back into hospital as her breathing is much too low.  She is again  on  very high doses of steroids and anti-biotics. Se's been a fighter all her life due to chronic bronchial asthma (no she has never smoked a cigarette) but lately other things are happening in  her body and I pray the Lord to keep her safe.  Her family needs her.  She doesn't live near us although we did live near until shortly after Tom,3rd son) was born. I miss her so much..so very much...and my darling grandsons too.
.
Christopher is going out from work but is intent on returning early to see Pat's Wonderful Post on Colonel John McCrae.,  also he has some more photographs to post of his visit to the French and Belgium War Graves.

I have some reading to catch up on this evening and may finish a card I've been making.
Good-evening from England.
Jenny .

Jenny, what an interesting day!

Do you remember when you didn't have a fridge or freezer?  When I lived in Ireland, we had a cold cupboard with a marble shelf.  That marble shelf was my fridge and there was a vent in the wall from the cupboard to the outside so that it was always getting chilly air in there.  It was awful if someone left the door open!

I never had a fridge when I lived in the UK but everyone has them now I realize.

This is an OH WOW message.

I notices that a dear friend of mane had called while I was taking John to work yesterday,  (I just checked my callers list) so I called her back.  Yesterday afternoon one of our church mrmbers, fell about 20feet out of a tree.  When the ambulance arrived he went into convulsions.  The ambulance attendants said that it was a sympton of a broken back.  Jaynie was called and she started calling all the prayer warriers.  Her prayer was that when he arrived at the hospital that the doctors would not find any broken bones.  This man was surrounded and blanketted in prayer.  When he arrived at the hospital the doctors found NOTHING wrong. My friend is now home!   There are no broken bones, and above that there are no bruises.  Jaynie and I both believe God healled on the trip to the hospital.   He is now up walking around again, wirth some soreness.

I didn't ask what he was doing up the tree?  I assume cutting it down for fire wood.

Hi Pat,
Yes My Nanna had a larder cupboard like that.  I lived with her in Lincolnshire when young.  It did keep things nice and cold. Hazlet and cold meats etc,.Nothing needed to keep that long, we all ate well in those days. Proper food and not this pre packed plastic stuff.. Yes?

Thanks for saying I had an interesting day.......I always feel so inadequate. God Bless you sister.

Yup, winter's here.  About an hour ago I looked out and it was just starting to snow.  Within about 10 minutes there was a dusting over everything.  But now it's changed to rain and all evidence is gone, although the temperature is down to 30.

Here in the US Veterans' Day is to honor all veterans, both living and dead.  Those who fell in wartime are honored specifically on Memorial Day, the last Monday in May.

It's also a big day for me - my #2 son's birthday.  Hard to believe he's 48 already.

I'm back from the Veteran's Day bean feed.  The food was good, but I was sorely disappointed that they didn't even ask the veterans present to stand, or anything!!  The program honored the American Legion baseball team, the Girls State delegates, the Boys State Delegates, and left the veterans out!! >:( :'(  I don't mind the others being recognized, but after all, this is Veteran's Day!! :-\

Okay, I have vented my frustration, now I'm going to watch TBN a while.

My doctor's office called this morning to say that the MRI results show "normal activity" so... just thought I'd let y'all know.  I never figured it would be anything else.  I am still wearing the heart monitor (perfectly normal, too) and will go for the treadmill test Thursday morning early.  Just reporting in.   I've already been to the Great Physician and all this other stuff is confirmation.

Checking by in--

THanks for all of your concerns.

She is doing so well.

Everyone just marvels at her healing process and how strong she is.

She does walk a lot ; so they say that keeps her in shape.

I will be heading over to remove "turban" and clean the area and put new medication on the stiches.  She is all set up
with the antibiotics.

Her biggest concern is to make her hair look pretty for a Thanksgiving luncheon on Thursday!!!  Have a pretty scarf already and will fix her hair with bangs so she will feel better.

Her enegy is boundless!!!!

Praise the Lord for HIS goodness in this matter.

I will be heading for gyno check up (follow up from my hysterectomy last year) and the ever popular mammography.
They are still watching what looks suspicious findings (whatever that means)

Just gave the whole doctor's procedures tomorrow to the LORD.  Know HE will handle it in the way that HE has destined me for and with it will give me the strength to cope; so why should I think or worry about it??

Dear ones, you are so much in my thoughts; my prayers to the ones in need.

I do love your daily chit chats--they means so much.

Take care and as always,

Love in CHrist,

Joyce

Hi everyone.  We have had a truly beautiful day here in Georgia and it has warmed up again this afternoon.  We are thankful for that as a couple of nights ago my wife fixed a meatloaf that ran over in the oven and my daughter this afternoon was fixing something and Pat decided to go ahead and clean the oven while it was hot.  She put it on the self-clean cycle and the food residue flamed up and created a terrible smell in the house and we have had the doors and windows open to get the burned smell out.  Fortunately, my daughter discovered the flames before they did any damage and turned the stove off.

This was my day with the Calvin Cove folks and it was delightful.  A couple of the ladies apparently can't wait until I get there each week and worry that I won't show up so that they can sing with me.  What a blessing all these folks are with their wonderful smiles.  This was also our monthly seniors get together at our local senior center.  We had a very nice lunch and time together.

Pat, thank you for the devotional thoughts today and for the photo essay and links.

Etta Sue, hope Jerry got good news from his eye doctor.  You certainly are a fine and devoted friend to Jerry to help him be where he needs to be at this difficult period in his life.

Marilyn, it sounds like Bebe has more sense in knowing when to turn off the TV than probably a lot of us do.   :D :D  That 80 gigs of space will quickly fill up if you take a lot of photos with that new camera.

Janet, that was a very nice poem on Veteran's Day.  We owe our veteran's so much.

Karmat, sorry to hear of the loss of Bernard's uncle.  We are always saddened at the loss of a family member.

Jeanne, very nice graphic for both the USA and Canadian Veteran recognition days.  Just keep that snow up north.  We haven't even had a frost here yet but think it will frost and freeze here in a few days.

Joyce, the falls are so frightening when older folks are involved.  Isn't it wonderful that we have tests like the CAT scan that can show whether there is any internal damage.  The stitches will heal.

Jenny, sorry to hear of the additional problems for your daughter.  It sounds like she has had way more than her share of health problems in her life.

JudyB, indeed a time for praise that your friend was healed and has no lasting injury from the fall.

Chris, that is a great old hymn that you posted.  I enjoyed listening to it as I wrote this posting.

Jane, those are the kind of reports we all like to hear.  Thanks for letting us know.

Ria my Sister,
when one is depressed all the gloomies gang up on you, and you feel as if you are surrounded by death and sickness, it's a fact.
But if we can only catch a glimpse of Jesus smiling upon us, then all the gloom lifts like a mist blown away by a strong wind.
Try to look upon the anniversary of your first husband's passing as a good day, celebrate the life you both shared, then let him rest in peace, for he would not want you to remember him with a sad, gloomy, feeling, but  I feel sure he would want you to be happy, with the grand, new, man that your heavenly Father gifted to you.
Look up Sister , look up, this life although never entirely free from heartache, can be a most wonderful life too, a life given by Father God to be lived to it's fullest, go out and help someone worse off than yourself, we are saved for good works, and in doing these comes our greatest joy, go and help some poor soul, and you will feel that, yes, life can be good, just  by seeing how you can make someone smile!
Praying with you ,
Chris.

Janet, how sad--Veteran's day and we forget them--I see you are just settling down so I will not make you upset again!!

Yes, we should get upset--they are our heros who fought for us and our freedom.

OK , I will stop ---

Many the "guys" will comment on this oversight.

Thanks, Janie, for your kind words and I am glad you shared that wonderful, totally expected, good medical news.

Rachelle, I think that you are a fairly newcomer and I welcome you--I don't get here to post often but try to
read the postings when I can.

Judy, your young one is in my thoughts and prayers--it seems the evil one really knows how to play with our "insecurities" doesn't he; that's why he is the greatest manipulator of lies , and I will not even give him any more of my time.

his time is so limited and he is so defeated at the cross but he still trys to play "mind games".

Fill our mind with passages of the Bible in times of his attack and just keep going in the faith.

THe glorious end is so heavenly---

I answered a couple of emails and now will go on to prayer
forums ---

Love in Christ,
Joyce

Good afternoon.  I think I missed reporting in here yesterday.  I am doing fine but still don't have the strength that I normally have.

Yesterday I had an appointment with the cardiologist.  He thought I was doing really good and said I was really lucky to still be around.  Today I had an appointment with my primary care physician.  He said I must have had a lot of people praying for me.

It is good to read all the posts.  Pat I enjoyed seeing the pictures of Col. John McCrae and the poem In Flander's Field.   We visited a WW I American cemetery in the Flander's province of Belgium years ago on the 11th of November.  There were poppies growing all around and American jet planes flew over while we were there.

Yes Papa John There were a LOT of people praying, Perhaps more than we here even know.  He is faithful and as our dear meiks said "your house is very big and isn't finished yet".

A half hour appointment with the pediatritian turned into 2 hours.  The outcome?  More than I can put here except to say all the ailments are as a result of an incident in 2000, and a comment last March she went into depression and post tramatic stress disorder.  We have a long road ahead, we are tryuing a med to help her through this cycle.  The doctor is arranging counselling and there everything MUST come out.  Please pray that the organization I am going to will have a Christian counsellor on staff.

This day started with snow, turned to rain and now is very dark and overcast.  I agree with Ria I do not like this weather.

John is driving through Knoxville about now.  TN is such a beautiful part of the country, We love the trip down through there.

Well I have to close for now, supper to prepare and such

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ...........

Yes, our Lord did in fact die for the sins of all mankind.  But the unbelievers have said......"Ya, sure, anyone could die, and it could be said that he died for your sins."  And we then tell them with proven assurance, yes, this is true, but no man  ever rose from the grave as did Jesus Christ after He was dead and in the tomb for three days.   Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ defeated death, by rising from the grave, and in so doing, died for the sins for all who would but believe in Him.

Having recently returned from  my trip I know I'll not be able to catch-up on all the gab and important posts, so please frogive me if I appear to be slighting an inportant post.

Dear sister Pat.........

I went to your photo of Jack's monument and was awe struck at it's message.  Returning to a grave site is good for the ole heart as it provides a release for our emotions  that are expresed by springing into tears, accompanied by life long cherished memories.  We all know they are not there.  Neat huh?  And yet, our Lord will return, the graves will open, and  they (we) will, in the twinkling of an eye,  be with Him forever.  That's His solomn promise.

My trip.  I left Saturday morning early and flew t Burbank Calif.  Changed planes in Oakland.  It was impossible for me to pass through the metal detectors, even if I were walking in just my shorts.  My metal knee set it screaming, and when they ushered me into a stall the fella checked me with the wand.  I was surprised when it sang the halls of montazuma when he passed by my chest.  I have approximately 25 staples inside my chest from my heart surgery.

Oops, gotta go, company just arrived.  TBC

Joyce...on the subject of mammograms I thought you might enjoy this:
 ;D
Mammogram
MANY WOMEN ARE AFRAID OF THEIR FIRST MAMMOGRAM, BUT THERE IS NO NEED TO WORRY.

BY TAKING A FEW MINUTES EACH DAY FOR A WEEK PRECEDING THE EXAM
AND DOING THE FOLLOWING EXERCISES, YOU WILL BE TOTALLY PREPARED
FOR THE TEST AND BEST OF ALL, YOU CAN DO THESE SIMPLE EXERCISES RIGHT IN YOUR HOME.

EXERCISE ONE:

OPEN YOUR REFRIGERATOR DOOR AND INSERT ONE BREAST IN DOOR. SHUT AS HARD AS POSSIBLE AND LEAN ON THE DOOR FOR GOOD MEASURE.  HOLD THAT POSITION FOR FIVE SECONDS.  REPEAT AGAIN IN CASE THE FIRST TIME WASN'T EFFECTIVE ENOUGH.

EXERCISE TWO:

VISIT YOUR GARAGE AT 3AM WHEN THE TEMPERATURE OF THE CEMENT FLOOR IS JUST PERFECT.  TAKE OFF ALL YOUR CLOTHES AND LIE COMFORTABLY ON THE FLOOR WITH ONE BREAST WEDGED UNDER THE REAR TIRE OF THE CAR.  ASK A FRIEND TO SLOWLY BACK THE CAR UP UNTIL YOUR BREAST IS SUFFICIENTLY FLATTENED AND CHILLED.  TURN OVER AND REPEAT WITH THE OTHER BREAST.

EXERCISE THREE:

FREEZE TWO METAL BOOKENDS OVER NIGHT.  STRIP TO THE WAIST.  INVITE A STRANGER INTO THE ROOM.  PRESS THE BOOKENDS AGAINST ONE OF YOUR BREASTS.  SMASH THE BOOKENDS TOGETHER AS HARD AS YOU CAN.  SET UP AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE STRANGER TO MEET NEXT YEAR AND DO IT AGAIN.

YOU ARE NOW TOTALLY PREPARED!

;D ;D ;D

Enjoyed the devotional and the tour Pat.  Posted in the other spot...I didn't go downtown to attend the parade or service. Understand the Legion used our Sr. Ctre. to give a breakfast for people participating.

Went carpet bowling and enjoyed the afternoon.  Lost both games and had our tailfeathers royally whipped.  Some days are like that!!

We have a Christian paper that comes out once a month here on the island.  It covers subjects about what is happening worldwide, as well as on the island.  Noted that James Dobson may go into the political field in order to defend family values.  Talks about the possiblility of other Christian leaders doing the same.  www.Crosswalk.com

Was very discouraged about what is happening to the Bishops and priests in the Anglican faith, as they do battle for their stand against the church's new ruling.  Some are being suspended and one church is actually being terminated.  Nigeria and Australia are also facing the same treatment as they fight the same battle.  Certainly all people have the right to practise their beliefs.  That should include Christians.  We ought to have the right to take a principled stand.  That is not preaching hatred, merely acting on our beliefs.

Enough said.  God Bless and Pleasant Dreams.  Liz.

Gene and I are both kid-filled tonight.  First his oldest son called from North Carolina, just to wish him "Happy Veterans Day" (took about an hour to accomplish that), then I called my #2 in Arizona and took almost an hour to wish him a Happy Birthday.

Gene's oldest grandson is in Vancouver studying for his Masters Degree in Christian Education, and my Arizona grandson (6' 2" - 18 years old) is getting ready to join the Army.

Altogether a pretty satisfying evening.

Feeling Frustrated tonight---

I am a little frustrated tonight-I took the kids to the Homeschool skate and everything was going fine until-Lindsey was tripped while skatting-during the process a little kid tripped over her-the little boy went over to the DJ and told him that she pushed him-so the DJ told her to apolagize-she proceeded to go to the parents and him and say she was sorry-she came to me in tears and said that she was trying to apolagize and they kept yelling at her-so she walked away. At the end, the Mother came up to me and said what happened and I said that she told me that she was tripped-the Mother said well she retaliated at the wrong person and the least she could do is apolagize????? I didn't say anymore and I just told the gal I would talk with her-which I did, she is adament that she didn't push the little kid that he tripped over her--she did apolagize and she said they kept yelling-I didn't make her apolagize anymore-do you think I should of? Courtney said she was behind her and that is what happened too-Anyway it just frustrated me that the people wouldn't accept her apolagies..
Rachelle

Okay enough of me-lol

Joyce-thank you for the welcome-Im pretty new here-I think I arrived about a month ago-Im not sure-But, everyone here is very loving and encouraging..

RIA-I know your pain-I lost my Dad December 29-99-Zachary was only 11 months old-It was a hard thing to go through-He was in surgery for a small tumor on his colon which he wouldn't of needed to have anymore surgery..the 2nd day after the surgery he went into resportory failure-because it was to late he suffered servere brain damage-he laid there for 20 days on those machines before the fight was over-It was so hard on Mom-she was in denial thinking he would come out of it-(this time of the year is hard for me too)6 months after Dad-my Mother suffered a stroke and another one that took her life too-sadly she died the same way he did-My parents never walked with the Lord, but at the end we felt the peace that they were with him. During, all of this time my husbands only brother had a 3rd brain tumor surgery and was failing-he passed 6 months after my Mother..This was a very hard time, but with the Lord he gave us strength to go on-I think the hardest thing is my children miss there grandma and grandpa-they don't get to see their other grandpa much-which bothers them-but, God will supply..
I just want you to know that I know how you feel and what your going through-the pain is hard-but Jesus loves you RIA and will carry you through-As he has for My Family.
May the Lord comfort you during this time..
Marilyn-I will also be praying for your neice-
Praise-my daughter Lindsey made 56 dollars on ebay selling her dolls-so now she can buy herself her guinia pig lol.
Hugs to all of you-
Rachelle

Pinkie You are too funny! ! ! ! !

Rachelle.  I understand the situation you are in.  My mother had a saying that creates peace.  "Appologise for the situation."  There was a lady she worked with, that would walk into a room and if someone was in trouble she would say "I did it , now what did I do this time"  Everyone would then say what happened and she would say "Well I am sorry It won't happen again."  There was nothing left to say.  This ended all the problems.  I tell my girls that even if they have done nothing wrong they can be sorry for the situation, and appologise.

Yes Marilyn I am remembering your neice.  For wisdom for the doctors and that someone can be the tool to draw her back to the Lord.

Hey Lee did they send you back because the metal detectors went nutz?  Or did you complete your trip?  I hope you took your camera too?

Well Melaura can't sleep again.  I am going  to go and send her to bed and hit the sack as well.

Good Morning RIA and Jenny.  I pray the sun is shining in Holland and the British Isles for both of you today.

Good night

Hi Judy B.
Lindsey did apolagise for the sittuation-after the DJ told her to apolagize she went up to the parents and apolagized-they would not accept it-that is when she came to me and told me(in tears )what happened and that they kept yelling at her about it.
Right before we were getting ready to leave the gal came up to me and said the least she could do was apolagize-she had already..I wasn't going to make her do that again.

Just dropping in to say hello before heading off to bed.

November 11 is a day of reflection, my father-in-love was a Veteran and it was a time in his life that he never was anxious to talk about, by times he would share some of the funny things but the serious almost never, his personal pain and suffering was enough.

I have been busy doing a lot of little things like going to a craft show or two, being invited out for dinner which is lovely but the time does come when I would like to remain home and get the home things done.  Got another call this evening and I guess we will be on the road again this week-end.

I will try to drop by tomorrow evening to catch up on all the reading I have missed.

Sister Judy........

They put me in the cargo hold. ;)  Yep, I took it along and Pat entered it in photos.

My trip..........

Had to change planes in Oakland, Calif.  I sat with a black lady who lived in Northridge.  She was reading a 'Cultic" book.  I caught her eye and we chatted for a while, and then I brought out the book I had brought with me.  Dave Hunt's book on the Cults.  I made certain she read the title.  Just prior to landing I tld her that I really missed one major thing in the Valley (San Fernando Valley), and she asked me what it was.  I told her that I used to attend a very large church in Sun Valley (Near Sepulveda).  I lamented over how great the pastor was and that he taught the Word of God as it was written, that he was loving, and regardless of it's size, you had the feeling he was talking to you directly.  I waxed eloquent on the choir and the multiple groups that sung, and especially Jubalent Sikes, a black singer who sings hymns in the old Negro spiritual way.  Her eyes lighted-up and she asked what the name of the church was, and I told her it was "Grace Community Church".  I then told her she wouldn't have any trouble remembering the name because all she had to do was remember that she is a graceful lady, so the other word to remember was Community.  She smiled broadly and told me she would remember it.

We're only messengers, right?

The occasion for my trip was a surprise birthday party for my oldest daughter Dian (Who turned 50).  I was exceptionally elated because I was able to hold each of my five G-grandchildren.

The trip back was very long and very tiring.  2-hrs to Oakland.  2-hrs to Seattle.  1-hr to Spokane, and a 2-hr drive home.  I call being so tired after a long trip as being "Jet lag".  IT isn't but the affects are the same.

I had the pleasure of sitting next to a Christian lady from Burbank to Oakland.  We became friends immediately, and we shared our hearts with one another.  She's in a 'Warm fuzzy" church, where the pastor sanctions elder sins and refuses to use Scriptural chastizement.  I told her she should leave the church and NOT attempt to rescue anyone.  She said she had been entertaining doing just that, but couldn't make the decision to do it, but now recognized she had to go.

That's just tacky, if you ask me.

Rachelle, She did all she could do.  Unfortunately, there are some adults in this world who act more childish than the most spoiled child.    :-\  It's kinda like a case in our town right now where a cardiologist was coaching a little league baseball team.  Two of the team members got in a fight and he broke it up.  The mother of one of the boys mothers pressed charges and he was charged with felony assault.  She admitted that she didn't even see the incident, and they settled out of court, but it was absurd.  Is it any wonder our young people walk around in a state of bewilderment?  There are no sane adults (except present company, of course).  hahaha  Seriously though, Rachelle, this seems a case where your daughter did what she could.  If the other parent's didn't accept it, so be it.  She can sleep easy tonight.

I hope all of you all have a wonderful night/morning.  I will be around for a few more minutes, then I think I will go to bed.  (what a concept, huh?)

Thank You-I just talked with her (Lindsey) and told her that she did do all she could do-and that she apolagized but sometimes people just have a hard time accepting an apolagy. I told her I was proud of her for trying..
That is to bad about what happened in your town.  :-\
Hugs

Racjelle I 'm sorry I didn't read your post correctly.  I am sorry, I do agree she did all she could.  Sounds like the problem was with them and something they have to work through.

Lee, I guess the same My Jesus I Love Thee.

Sounds like quite a trip.  Did you ever listen to KKLA in LA?  I loved to as we were driving.

One of these days Ruth you will have to drop in up here and stay the weekend.  (The weekend of the 22nd John will be gone!)

Well Mel is still awake and bouncing and I am going to sleep here.  I am going to send her to bed with a book I think and go to bed to sleep myself.

Night all

I'm really late tonight.

I had company drop in.  I was doing my Avon order and then at about 11 pm, I thought I'd maybe enter another photo into the Book Titles challenge on DPC so rush, rush at that!

Tomorrow, I won't be around all day till late tomorrow evening as Judy McKenna and I are going to the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto.  I'm looking forward to that very much.

I'll drop in in the morning and say "Cheerio" to you all and hopefully, you'll have a great day chatting while I'm gone.

Here's a link to tomorrow's/today's topic!
