JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

      Morning Devotional...

      But there is a friend...
      Proverbs 18:24

The Lord is the Christian's perfect friend--always understanding, always there through good times and bad, always forgiving, always loving.

Such a friend ought be our most prized relationship!

Oh, that we would long to spend time with Him daily, getting to know Him more intimately.

The more we understand of His love for us, the deeper our love for Him will grow in return.

      --C. J. Cairns

O Love divine, how sweet Thou art!
When shall I find my willing heart
      All taken up with Thee?
I thirst, I faint,  I die to prove
      The greatness of redeeming love--
The love of Christ to me.

      --Charles Wesley--

It's so good to see you, Cami Cutler, online.  How are your eyes now?  I've been praying for you.

Hi, Pat! Well, things are not nearly as fuzzy as they were, thank the Lord! How are you, and all the other CPers? You will never know how much you all have been missed! But, it is just something that happens every once in awhile, and, in Gods' time, most of the vision comes back! I'm still legally blind, and always will be, but I'm so grateful for the vision that I do have! Thank you all for your prayers; I really could feel them! Special thanks to Pat and Marilyn for your thoughts!
      Love in Him,
      Cami

is so true, Pat! I have been realizing this the past couple of weeks.  I feel my relationship with Christ has grown more these past couple weeks then they have in the last 5 years. God is awesome![/b][/size]

      Ruthie

      Hi Everyone:

I went to a banquet tonight for "Partners International"    They are a Christian organization that support Nationals in different countries of the world.

My friend Rev. Grover Crosby was the President for 16 years.   He is involved in another capacity and is going to India tomorrow with 4 or 5 Pastors.

There was a man there who played the harp so beautifully.   He was born in the jungles of  Uraguay and became a Christian a few years because of missionaries.

      The whole evening was awesome.

      Love Ruthie ;)

The Lord is my light and my salvation Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
      Ps. 27:1

      Sonifo

Good evening, Ruthie What an evening you had.  I love to listen to the harp.  I am amazed that someone is actually able to play such a unique instrument. I am Glad you had a fun night.

      Ruth Ann Bice

Good morning, it's a chilly rainy day here in Nashville. I live in an old house with the old-style coil electric heaters built into the walls. For several years the heater in this office was broken, but some nice men repaired it for me last year.

I am chuckling as I watch my 17 year old kitty Noelle. She's sitting only abou 5-6 inches from the glowing heater, staring straight at it in puzzlement. Her ears are up high, she's not moving, and the tail is straight out behind her.

I'm certain she's as thankful as I am that this room is warm today.  :)

Jenny, take care. Ria, I'm thankful to hear you're better. Sonifo - how great that you feel such a renewing of your spirit.

I can't mention everyone, but it's great to "hear" you speak each day.

Welcome to our new posters! I hope you feel as welcomed as you truly are. You'll enjoy the fellowship here.

      Love to you all,

      Ruth Ann

Good morning!  It's 8:00 AM here in Kansas, and I am ready to tackle the day!  We are getting back to the tile laying job again, so will be working hard today!

Janice!! How wonderful to see you back!  I have been thinking of and praying for you, had even asked Pat a few times if she had heard anything from you.  I do hope you and Earl both feel better, and that you will be able to post more often.  We really miss you when you are away.

Cami, good to have you back, too.  I'm so sorry about your eye problems, I know that must be so frustrating to you.

Lee, I didn't understand your post, either.  Are you sure someone wasn't just teasing you?  Stick around, brother, we need your unique perspective on things!  And we all love you, even if we do enjoy picking on you sometimes! ;)

Sonja, I am trying to remember your eyes and make things easier for you to read!  Love you, girl!

I want to share something with you today about the goodness of God.  Yesterday, we got a call from the lady who booked our trip to Honduras. (We are going in January.)  She had booked our airline tickets from Dallas to Roatan with Sol Air; and they had called and canceled ALL flights!!  :-\ >:( :'(  We had already bought our tickets from Amarillo to Dallas online, from Travelocity, on Delta.  She told us to see if we could get them canceled, get a refund, or what........so........I called Travelocity, and the man I spoke to said there would be a penalty of $80 to $260 for any changes; or we could just throw away the $260 we had paid for them and buy new tickets!  But then he put me through to the re-issue agent.  While I was on hold, waiting for the call to be transferred, I was praying for favor with whoever answered the call, and that the money would not be wasted! She asked me if she could help me, and I said I really hoped so!  I explained the problem, and  after checking, she said "well, these tickets are refundable, so why don't I just send this down to our refund department, and it will be credited back to your credit card.  WOW!!  I was so excited!  I told her "Thank you!  God bless you!  You have made my day!!"  I could hear the smile in her voice as she told me to have a good day.  God is so good, and He is good ALL the time!!  Now what I have to do is wait for the new tickets from Houston to Roatan, then buy new ones from Amarillo to Houston.  That's easier than stopping in Dallas, anyway.

Sorry the story was so long, really I did TRY to condense it!  As Sonja would say---I am jazzed!  It was one of those QUICK answers to prayer!  Thank you, Jesus!!

We are getting back to the tiling job today, so I may not be back on for quite some time!

      Welcome, Bonsey!!

Hi everyone this fine Saturday morning.  It is a bit overcast but the wind isn't blowing and it doesn't seem as cold as yesterday.  I am just back from coffee at the cafe with my retired friends, although today we had a couple of guys who are still working, including a neighbor of mine that I really had never had a chance to visit with.

Welcome bonesy.  I am glad to see you posting.  We have a number of men who post here and we are sure happy to have another man posting as well.  Do you have Internet access when you are on the road in your truck?

Janet, great news on your tickets and know you must have been so relieved.  Will you be doing missionary work or is this a vacation time for you both?  Don't work too hard today on that tile project! :o

Cami, sure glad to see you back posting and to read that your eyes are doing a lot better.  I am going to set up a little template to use with my postings so that they are easier to read and then when I post I can simply copy it from my notepad and paste it in the posting box and then type my message.  Please say something if my settings are hard to read for anyone and I will try something else.

Ruth Ann, glad you are in a warm room.  I seem to stay cold most of the time and find it very unpleasant.  Think a lot of it is due to the medications I take.  My wife seems to be warm all the time and I am cold.  I turn the heat up and she turns it down.

Lee, I think your last posting left us all in the dark.  I sure haven't read anything in your postings that would upset me.  We need the benefit of your wisdom and Christian experience here on CP.

Hope everyone has a great day.  I plan on working here on the computer most of the day and trying to catch the Georgia versus Auburn football game late this afternoon.

Larry~Awwww...coffee with friends is always a treat.

Janet~God is good.  I am glad you are jazzed!  Don't work to hard, girl!

Ruth Ann~That is to funny about your cat.  At that age you wouldnt think it had any drive left.  ;)

Jenny~Hi Jenny from England, this Wyoming girl heard your call.  How cold is it over there?  Do you all get alot of snow?

Hi Ria! Another colorful post.  Thank you for your kind words about my pictures.   :-*  Do you do any crafts in your spare time, like cross stitch or crochet?

      Pat! Just a quick (((hug))).

My baby had a fever all night.  Not sure what's going on. Maybe teeth. Her 2 year old molars are coming in.  Can't wait for them all to come in. It has been tough for her for some reason.  It takes forever to get a tooth in.

I am going to finish making X-mas cards today and put them up for sale on my site.

      Have a good day, folks!

      Sonja

      Etta Sue

Al ~ Oh, to be mistaken as Jesus.  What a purpose!

Janice ~ It is so good to see you again.  I am thankful that you and Earl are okay even though you have had many things going on.  We miss you.  Come back as often as you can.

Larry ~ At the cost of repair and the lowering cost of electronics, today's electronics are 'throw away'.  Just wish a dozen other things would become lower in cost.

Lee ~ If you offended me, I didn't realize it.  So no apology needed my way, brother.

JudyB ~ Do encourage John to come in and join us!  Edit:  I see he did!!!!!

Liz ~ You talking about moving brings back memories of my moving two years ago the 19th.  I had movers move me also....the only way to go!!!

Ruth ~ I can't remember what I did yesterday, let alone when we talked about GRITS on here.  Hahaha!

Pat ~ Thank you for the great devotional.  What a friend we have in Jesus!  There is a song there, isn't there?

Sonja ~ I feel the very same way.  I feel that my friendship with Jesus is growing more and more each day.  Makes me wonder what the next few weeks will bring but I am ready....

Ruthie ~ I love harp music.  The hospital near me had lunch for anyone who was at the hospital that day for their Christmas present to all.  There was a harpist.  I sat close enough to touch the harp.  Wonderful sounds to accompany a wonderful luncheon.

Nita ~ Hope you didn't get crumbs in your bed.  Those chocolate crumbs are tough to get out of the bed sheets!  Bet you slept well after your chocolate fix though!

Ria ~ You sound much better today and that is good.  I wish all my friends to have good days.

Jenny ~ Blow all the cobwebs away!  I wish the wind would blow all the corn shucks away here.  They are all whirling and collecting near my deck.  They don't deteriorate either like tree leaves.

JudyMc ~ Good morning.  Aren't we happy we are blessed with memories.?

Paulette ~ Good morning.  How is the new baby?  Growing like a week, I'll bet.

Ruth Ann ~ I would love to have heat that I can get next to and feel.  I have hot water baseboard heat which some tell me is the most even heat but I miss standing over a register.  There is no fans blowing this heat...and I can't feel it unless I am a foot away from the baseboards.  But my thermometer says it is a contant temperature...so that is good.

Janet ~ I wish I would get a call like that about my taxes!  I could go to Honduras and back after staying a couple of weeks on the taxes that I am paying.
