Morning Devotional...

What will ye do...to whom will ye flee...without Me?
Isaiah 10:3-4

It was a sad state of affairs when the people of God forsook the righteous decrees of the Lord, and came under the hand of His judgment.

Worse still was their failure to bow to His chastening and accept divine restoration. For all of this, His hand was stretched out still. In the midst of rebellion He still reached out.

Has abounding sin caused your heart to wax cold to His love?

His hand extends to you in mercy still, and He invites you to return, and know the overflowing joy of His forgiveness.
--Rick Morse

Thou knowest the way to bring me back,
my fallen spirit to restore;
O for Thy truth and mercy's sake,
forgive and bid me sin no more!
The ruins of my soul repair,
and make my heart a house of prayer.

Hi Ria!  I'm so sorry about your husband's stomach problems.  I'll be praying for you both.

Lee, you're never too old to look at the Teddy Bears!  I just wish I knew how they did things like that!  Did you look?

Cami, great to see you and hope that your eyes are a lot better.

Rachelle, when you finish, want to come here and start?  I guarantee that there would be more bags to take to goodwill from my house!

Hi to both of you too, Sonja and Ruthie!  Hope you and I can get to see each other soon, Ruthie.

Well, I'm off to London.  Hopefully, I'll be back in time for the funeral service at 2 pm.

Hello to Cindy (so nice to see you.  I remember those photos of your girls sledding--so cute!) Ria, Cami, Lee, Pat (thinking of and praying for you today especially!) Marilyn, Rachelle, Ruthie, and Sonja! (anything yet in your mail?)  ;)  Also greeting to those who will stop by later.

It is to be into the 70s again here today, before the bottom drops out over the weekend.  By Sunday night they say it will be down in the 20s!  :(  Well, after all, it is well past the middle of November.

I hope all of you feel the presence of the Lord in a tangible way today!

Hello to everybody from the Shufords!  Karma probably won't be in here today; she's got an incredible Mary Kay day ahead of her :)  A couple of different promotional things, with about 4 hours of driving to do as well.  Pray for her safety and success.

I gotta get back to work, but I wanted to say hi!

Good to see all of you here.

How great it is to see our Cindy posting!  I know you are busy, busy, busy but stop back in more often.  You certainly weren't forgotten.

Pat, I have emailed the link of those cute bears to many of my email friends....people with little ones as well as college students!  They seem to like this kind of stuff.  Hey, what am I saying?  I love those bears!!!!!

I have traveled some....49 states, Bahamas, Canada and Mexico....very interesting to hear the English language spoken in so many different accents.  I tend to pick up the accent...when in Rome, do as the Romans do.  I truly think that the only place that doesn't have an accent is Indiana.  Reason being, we are in the middle of it all and can't decide which accent to use.  That's my story and I am sticking to it!!!   8) 8)

Bright and sunny again in Indiana.  Love it!  Love it!

Hi everyone.  Have just finished lunch and read the devotional for today and all the postings.  Lee, I think one of the nice things about having children and grandchildren and great grandchildren is that it gives adults a reason to continue to play with toys.  However, I must agree that there are other toys more interesting to me than teddy bears.  ;D

We spent all yesterday afternoon at the airport with my wife's sister and waiting with her for her step daughter and family to arrive.  Fortunately they got a earlier plane and arrived about 3 hours before they had initially expected.  We knew this as they called us from Phoenix before we left for the airport.  It was still a long afternoon as we didn't get home until after 6 pm.  I ate a quick supper and then headed for choir practice.  The Vivaldi "Gloria" is really coming together nicely and we will be doing it with an orchestra, a once a year or so treat for our congregation.

This morning I slept in late as was tired from yesterday, then went to coffee and then my wife called me back home to fax some papers to her sister that she had left with us but found they needed down then.  Then I headed out and did grocery shopping for Thanksgiving and some other shopping at about 5 different places.  So it is time for a nap.

Hope everyone is doing well today and that Pat you have a safe journey to London and get back in time for the funeral of your friend.  Marilyn, hope your test results are good and that Sonja your test will show the cause of the dizziness.  It is good to see Cindy posting again, we have missed you Cindy.  Etta Sue, thanks for sending that e-mail regarding the Mel Gibson movie.  I have heard other reports of a very positive nature on the Moody Bible Institute radio station.  Janet, we are also enjoying a most glorious day today and it is warming up a bit.  There is not a cloud in the sky, no wind, and the air is dry and crisp.  Nards, it sounds like Karma will have a very full day.  Hope that her activities are very successful for her. Sarah, good luck on your next game and I do hope you don't get beat up too badly in that non-contact sport.  ::)  Ria, hope the stress doesn't become such for your husband that it again affects his health.  Cami, I just got our Christmas cards this morning and haven't even really thought about getting them started.  However, I plan to send quite a few less cards this year, although think I say that every year.  Ruthie, it sounds like you really enjoyed the game.

I guess you must be tired of hearing about our cloudy, rainy, chilly, windy weather, so I won't tell you it was more of the same today.   ;D

Gene and I both have meetings tonight at 7:00 - his with the Elders and mine with the Village Planning Board.  Both look to be quite long.  Since he can't drive at night I have to drop him off and pick him up - hope my meeting gets done before his does.

Those teddy bears are really cute - a person could get caught up playing with them.  I wonder, too, how they do that.  Lee, don't cheat yourself out of some fun - you're only as old as you tell yourself you are!

I may or may not be back after the meetings, so I'll just wish everyone a good evening now - or morning or whatever it is where you are!   ;D

I have just posted more photos of the Kidco Revue that was last week the 14th.

Saw the dr. again today he will be scheduling my surgery for after the first of the year. I will be in the hospital about 3 days then 6 weeks of recovery. It is considered reconstructive surgery and i won't be off work all that long because for the most part I am more of a companion and working.

Pat...........

Why on earth would anyone my age sit in front of a PC and tap a bear on the lower right just to see only the one's on the right fall and rebuild.  Or, to sit there and tap one in the lower center just to see all of them fall.  NO MAM, NOT ME, I'M MUCH TO OLD FOR SILLY THINGS LIKE THAT.

Good evening/night/morning....whatever...everyone!

It is dark here but the day was bright and sunny.

I took Jerry home and then realized I have to go back there Saturday...his birthday!
Shhh!  Don't tell him I told you so!!!  I told him I would take him out to eat.

One of the ladies at our small meetings group brought me a learning book for Microsoft Office.  In it is Power Point.  I do believe I will be capable of making some .pps files...you know, those wonderful slide shows that people send you by email!!  I am jazzed!!!!!  I love those .pps files.

Pat, I have really enjoyed those little bears.  Has anyone noticed, that you make them all fall down and then move your mouse away and they one at a time go back into the pyramid?  Move your mouse over the top one and then to the side.  That little guy falls down and then pops right back up!!!!  Can't ya tell I am a kid at heart?

Well, me gots ta go!

Hi everyone.

I really hate it when my computer gets sick.  :(  It took me 2 ½ days to fix it.  Now I'm back and what a lot of reading to do to catch up.  Last night I looked at all the other sections of the site, and left NEM for today.  I'm sort of curious as to how long it will take me.

Pat, my condolences.  I know how tough it must be for you and also for the family.

Marilyn, Etta Sue.  I agree figure skating is very beautiful to watch.  I have to admit though that some of the enjoyment (but only a tiny bit) has gone out of it now that Paul Martini is no longer involved.  I went to school with him, and it was always very special to sit and watch the events and cheer on someone that I knew first-hand.

Suzanne, my mother (Ruth) said on Nov 16 that I needed to introduce myself to you.  Hello and welcome from one SUZZANNE to another SUZANNE.  ;D

I would also like to welcome all of the other newcomers.  There are too many names to remember!

Karmat, how wonderful to know that MaryKay is a God-driven business.  I did not know that.  Also, just a suggestion....rather than referring to nards as your babysitter......tell him that he is sharing in his parental responsibilities.....

Ria, your colourful posts just allow your personality to come through.

I too had fun playing with the teddybears.

Wow, it only took me two hours to get caught up!

Now I'm off to the store to get some groceries.  Have a great evening everyone, and Pat, I hope your day wasn't too stressful.

Hello everyone

It was a beautiful day here in Texas (eat your heart out Lee)  :) :)

Pat Thank you so much for the bears.  I have found there are many things they will do depending where the mouse stays.  ;D

Jeanne I was glad you enjoyed the story on the gold pavement.  There is a lesson in it also.

Golly, some folks had sunshine today and some had snow.  I am sorry I just do not like the cold weather.  It did get down to 44 here last night but up to 75 today.   :)

I told Al the other day, If I did not live in Texas I would move here.  ;D ;D

I figure I will get some response from that statement from across the country and probably oceans also.  :)

Hi Everyone...

Been off and on in here since I got home but then went and lay down again!

I left here this morning at about 6:30 am and got to the University of Western Ontario around 8:30 ready for the further prep work on the two upper crowns and then an impression to be done.

Well, about 2 hours into the work, just as he had the cord wound around both teeth, the power in the university went off!!!  Well, it was pretty dark!

Finally after waiting for about an hour, they decided to move me to an area where there was a skylight with the sunlight beaming down through it.  My student dentist (from Damascus, Syria) said to the professor, "As I'm from a third world country, this will be a breeze!"  It was kind of funny.

Anyway, there were no drills, suction, no way to raise and lower the various chairs, etc.  Imagine a huge dental school with no electricity!

Well, he got the impressions done and off I drove as quickly as I could to Larry's funeral back in Guelph.  It started at 2 pm and I got there at about 2:10.  I was so disappointed in the service but what else can you expect from something where I don't even believe that the "pastor" knew my Saviour!  One comment that she made was that "Larry has started his journey to meet God and he sends back this message to you all that he'll be just fine and it's really nice on this side."

Well...

I came home and lay down with Ibuprofen to try to kill the unpleasant pain around my two teeth and now I'm about ready for bed!  LOL

Please pray for me as I witness to Dianne in the coming days.  She thought that the service was wonderful!

Talk to you all a little later.

Glad that some of you enjoyed those funny teddy bears.

Oh Pat I am so sorry that you were disappointed inthe funeral service. I will pray that when you witness to Dianne that her heart will be softened and opened to recieve Jesus as here Savior and Lord.

I am cold tonight. Even with the heater on. Tuesday when I wass at the dr. my BP was only 100 over 60, LOW. Today it was 112 over 82, normal b ut very different. I wonder if that is significant or not. I should have asked. The only difference was that on Tuesday I didn't drink coffee before I went and today I did.

Well I am going to check the other forums and then call it a night and shut down the computer.

so I will tell y-allo Good NIght  right now.

Well finnally made it onto system, thanks for the help Pat. Hope you are feeling better soon and get back to your perkiy self.

Lee silly  is  sometimes fun and it is not a young thing. We older folks are allowed a little sillyness in our lives as well. We get away with it better because people just chalk it up to our age. ;D  ;D  ;D  :D  ;D  ;D

Ria I have been reading your postings for a while on CP and can now reply to them when I am home. Hope the weather improves over there soon. I was in Virginia this past week and the weather there was sunny and warm About 72 degrees or 22 degrees celcius.Even up here in Northern Ontario we are getting some very nice weather for the time of year at the moment. Pass on to your husband to not get to stressed out over the job. It is not worth it I had to learn that the hard way muself to. Now that I am back on the road I have gotten rid of a lot of stress and I am working for an excellent Company who really care about their employees. This is a rare quality in a trucking company.

I hope all our freinds to the south are getting ready for Thanksgiving and remeber we all have a lot to be thankful for with a risen Saviour. Regardless of what is going on in our lives, we need to stay focused on Him, and realiize all other things have come to pass. This was a hard concept for me to come to grips with, but God finnally took out the 4X4 and got my attention. I have seen many things change in my life this past year that I had no control over and finally realize things are much less stressful when we just leave it to him.

I would like to take this opportunity to request your prayers for the Open Road Chapels work that I am involved with as we are looking to Gods direction in expanding this ministry to the trucking industry by adding a couple of more Chapels. We arte looking to God for his timing and also to provide funding for this expansion. Also please remember the Chaplains as they minister to the truckers. we ahve benn experiencing an increased number of truckers making a decision to follow Jesus, which is very encouraging.

Well on another note I guess Judy and I will have to make some decisions over how we are going to share the family camera so we can post some pictures on CP. With me I would need to take the camera on the raod as I sometimes see some ausome Kodak moments. I will also have to learn how to post the pictures on CP. Maybe a trip to see Pat will be needed for that. I'll let you know when to put the coffee on Pat.

Well I guess I will end for now as it it si time to turn in and prepare for another day tomorrow.

God Bless
John.

Good to see you posting, John!

Until you figure out how to post your own photos, just send them as an attachment in an email to me and I'll look after that for you.

Boy!  I should have hitched a ride with you to Virginia!  What part were you in?  I have a friend in Danville so if you ever go down there.....

Well, it's been a very long day for me so I'm headed off to bed.

I do pray that you'll all have a wonderful day tomorrow.

I hope that we see Iain in here in the morning.  How I look forward to his posts but he's been absent lately.

And Jenny!  How's that computer?  Is it fixed?

Here's a link to tomorrow's topic...
