Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

On Eagles Wings
(Click to hear music)

"Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:30-31 (Also based on Psalm 91)

Words & Music: by Michael Joncas

You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord
Who abide in his shadow for life
Say to the Lord: "My refuge
My Rock in whom I trust!"

Refrain):

And He will raise you up on eagle's wings
Bear you on the breath of dawn
Make you to shine like the sun
And hold you in the palm of His hand

You need not fear the terror of the night
Nor the arrow that flies by day
Under His wings your refuge
His faithfulness your shield

For to His angels He's given a command
To guard you in all of your ways
Upon their hands they will bear you up
Lest you dash your foot against a stone

Refrain

And He will raise you up on eagle's wings
Bear you on the breath of dawn
Make you to shine like the sun
And hold you
Hold you in the palm of His hand.

Ria..........

It's hard, very hard, when we lose a loved one, and the memories, regardless of how beautiful, can be hurtsome.  Someone else we all love also died, and He is the one who gives us strength when we are down.  But, we must look to Him and ask for that strength.  He will supply us with our needs.

Jerry........

Enjoy your day.  Me thinks Etta Sue is a doll for being there for you.

Marilyn..........

Sometimes old folk are willing to cut off their nose to spite their face.  Personally I would seek answers from our Lord.  He's in charge and knows what's best for you even though this particular situation may seem unreasonable.  After all, this is November and the cold days and months are on us. Who knows what will happen before Spring.  You might also tell her that a draft would aggravate her arthritis, and a left rear window will provide plenty of air.  If she's REAL grumpy, tell her you'll remove the front window and she'll have plenty of air. ;D

Folks,  let us all pray about Marilyn's car ok?
James tells us that the prayers of the righteous are of great effect, and our righteousness is in Christ, His righteousness is our's.
Father God we thank you for providing a car for our sister, and now Lord. You can see the problem here,  the car is coming to the end of its life, would You work a great work here for our sister, we don't know how or what will happen, but we look forward to seeing You at work in this, thank You, God our Provider,
Amen.

Amen??

My quiet house has suddenly gotten noisy.  My step-nephew has arrived with my partner.  They spent the day together and Nathan has come home with a pair of hand-turned candle stick holders to give his mother and step-father for Christmas.  They have paused here to wrap them before we take Nathan home and have an evening out for ourselves.

!!!HAPPY BIRTHDAY JERRY!!!
Papa John, it is nice to see you post once in while even if it is just for a "Hello".

Have a good evening everyone.

Another beautiful day here in northeastern New York.  I'm afraid it's just spoiling us before the real winter sets in. :o

Jerry, I'm sorry my wishes for your birthday are so late, but if you don't see them until morning it will extend the day.  And this goes along with it...

Page #4's gone nuts.  It's increased twice the normal size.

Jeanne Lee

Not for me, Lee.  But there always does seem to be at least one page that's way huge.  I haven't been able to figure out what triggers it, and it seems it's not the same for everyone.

Is it OK now, Lee?

I edited Marilyn's post to be font size 5 as "Young PHotographer" is a very wide name.

That is probably why this happened.

Looks normal to me too. But I do know what you mean, it does happen once in a while

NEVER GROW OLD
(Click to hear music)

Words & Music: James C. Moore, circa 1914

I have heard of a land on the far away strand,
'Tis a beautiful home of the soul;
Built by Jesus on high, where we never shall die,
'Tis a land where we never grow old.

Refrain

Never grow old, never grow old,
In a land where we'll never grow old;
Never grow old, never grow old,
In a land where we'll never grow old.

In that beautiful home where we'll never more roam,
We shall be in the sweet by and by;
Happy praise to the King through eternity sing,
'Tis a land where we never shall die.

Refrain

When our work here is done and the life crown is won,
And our troubles and trials are o'er;
All our sorrow will end, and our voices will blend,
With the loved ones who've gone on before.

Refrain

Hello everyone. Just sat here and read everyones messages. Got home a little while ago from doing a training session for another trucking company and I made it home before the predicted freezing rain for this area tonight.

Some of the topics I am finding interesting on CP and am enjoying reading the different points of view by you folks.

Ria just want you to know that you are being prayed for on this difficult day for you. Its good to see you post on CP as well and your english is very good. I guess interactiing with the folks on CP is helping you develope ypur english even futher. The only hting that I miss with the interaction on the computer is the accents that the folks have in the various areas of the country. That is one thing that I really enjoy about getting around to the different areas where I go. For instance I can sit and listen to the accents of the southern US all day long.

Well after talking to my boss yesterday it is confirmed to me that I have definately made the right decision to move to thie Company that I now work for. It is so gret to feel appreciated for what you do. God has definately answered prayer in this area of our lives.

Well i am going to make it short tonight and start thinking about hitting the hay. Tomorrow is church and I want to be rested, It has been a long day.

God bless everyone of you.

Thank you Pat... for those lovely songs... especially "On Eagle's wings"   Whenever the music comes on or I sing,  my cat, the calico one named Katie, jumps up on my lap and cuddles up.   She seems to love music.  Funny eh.   She is such a lovely cat.

Marilyn...
sorry about your car... but God will find a solution.   Maybe you should do what Lee suggested.   Do you think your client would be happy with that?   ha ha

I was visiting my little twin granddaughters today.  Jessie is blond and petite and a live wire like her daddy.   Jaiden is dark and placid like her mommy. I had such a good time.  They wave bye bye and Jaiden says "Nana"   I thank God for my grandchildren.

God Bless
