Morning Devotional...I will pass through.... Exodus 12:12
I will pass over.... Exodus 12:13
The Lord did two things on this momentous occasion.
He passed
through the land in judgment and He passed
over each blood-stroked lintel and door post in salvation.
Just as the unprotected were exposed to His vengeance, so simple application of the blood assured preservation to every household which demonstrated their obedience to the only means of salvation.
Jesus is still the only way.
What will it be for you, judgment or salvation?
--Garry W. SealeThe Lamb of God has suffered, our sins and grief He bore;
By faith the blood is sprinkled above our dwelling's door.
The foe who seeks to enter doth fear that sacred sign;
Tonight the blood-stained lintel shall shelter me and mine.

Nearly got ya, Jane! LOL
Now, I've got the best news to share with you all!
I've had the most wonderful news tonight from Mieka's Paps! He's written to say that Meeks is fine. She's had a bit of "high altitude" sickness but that they'll get her all settled in in the next week or so!
She sends her love to all of us at CP.
I'm so very, very happy that Paps got in touch with me and hopefully we'll be able to hear about our dear sweet Meeks through her dear Paps!
OUCH!! Pat, you slammed the door in my face! :o I was writing while you were locking up. :-[
Anyway ... I dragged my post over here for JUDY B:

Jane can you see the addy on the email and copy it? I am sure he wouold love to hear from you.
Yes, I have had Bryan's email addy since he first got one (when he enlisted) so there is no problem with writing to him. I don't know how often he will have access to a computer to write/receive email, though. Of course this grandma will be in touch with "my guy Bry" This makes 2 of my 3 grandsons that are in Iraq. I just hope Bryan and Tim can, somehow, get in touch with each other ... Tim wants to "hook up" with his cousin and help him through the rough spots of being in the Army overseas. [/b]
Great news about Meeks, Pat! :D I'll keep praying for her...and that you will be able to receive news often from her beloved Paps.
3:52 AM
I seem to be the only one here this AM
Lee thank you for your kind answer to Melaura! I appreciate it.
Pat I am glad you have word from Paps. High altitude sickness? After being in the LA area at sea level I imagine ther is some dizziness and less oxygen for her to breathe. Let's pray for her.
Jane I am glad yu have the addy, I pray these young men will meet up and bolster each others faith in the Almighty!
Well I am going to check out the pictures.
Good morning all 11.00 AM
Pat thank you for the devotional this morning and also for the news of our MIEKA.
MELAURA YOU ARE RIGHT YOUR FATHER IS THE KING OF THE ROAD love from me for you Melaura.
Today is the dying day of my first husband.
That are days also birthdays they you never forget.
On his cremation the most people in Holland were cremated. But his urn is in a grave. There we have been this morning to bring flowers that are we always doing on the birthdays dying days christmass days on fatherday and motherday then we in Holland take flowers to the graves.
In the memorial service before his cremation the pastor has hold a sermon about psalm 27: 1 -6
That has my husband writen on paper a long time for his death also the musik.
Also today 40 years ago President JF Kennedy is murded. Yesterday there was a lot standing in our newspaper about him.
I was 12 years old when it happened and it was the first terrible news what i can remember me and now every day there is terrible news.
JANE i am praying for your grandson Bryan who is in Iraq also for your other dears who are there.
Psalm 27 : 1
The Lord is my light and my salvation
whom shall i fear
The Lord is the stronghold of my life
of whom shall i be afraid?
My first husband was not afraid for the death.
There was a smile around his mouth when he was be in state.
So we are remember him.
I wish you all a Blessed Day
Bey for now
LOVE RIA :)
Good Morning Ria. My heart goes out to you today.
Pat, thank you for the news of Mieka. Please keep us updated as you get more information.
Thank you also for the devotional this morning.
Ria: My thoughts and prayers go to you today on this sad anniversary for your family.
Pat: Thanks for the news on Mieka. She will adjust soon. I understand that the altitude of Katmandu is about the same as Denver - isn't she in Tibet?
Thank you for the reminder of the Lamb of God......
the only way. Carol
Good morning from my corner of the world. :) It's 6:55 AM, and still dark. I've been up since 4, so am waiting to see what the day will bring.
Ria....I will be thinking of you today. I pray also that this day wil not be always painful for you. Don't forget to let God love you today. :)
Pat, great news that you have a way to keep up with Meika. I wonder if Paps knows just how important she has been to us here.
I had to go back to yesterday and read all the messages so I wouldn't miss anything. I think I'm up with all the news now. :)
Re funerals......I agree with Etta Sue, Jerry, Al, Pat, Lee... ;D When a family asks a preacher/pastor to "do" a funeral....they know that he is a Christian. Truth is...people don't have to have a pastor officiate the funeral at all. So, I believe the preacher should be sensitive to what God is wanting, ready to change directions, and showing respect and compassion for the living. I also know that there are times when people only are hardened more by Christians who have not been sensitive to the Holy Spirit's leading and have spoken out of their own need. If we are Christ's then we are to be led by His Spirit......that includes funerals. That's all I have to say about that. ;D ;D
Oh! Daylight has come! Have a blessed day, everyone. My grandson, Kaleb, is coming to see me today while his mama used my computer for some school work.
God is good!
Someone sent me another fun website. How do they do this???? (http://www.rtideas.com/flash/skeeter.html)Water Skeeter[/url]
Jane ~ I guess I assumed that when your daughter forwarded the email, the original email address came with it. Most people don't know how to highlight and cut all those email addresses out when forwarding. I am praying that your grandson has your email address and keeps in touch with you and you with him. Edit: Now I am jazzed!!! I see you have Bry's email address! Wow! I do pray that he hooks up with his cousin, Tim. I can see the troops waiting anxiously to see if they have any email from loved ones!!!
Pat ~ I am so happy that you heard from Meika through Paps! I know I think about her every day and I am praying that she is fine and returns to us soon. Jerry!!!!
Oh, I am so happy to hear news of our dear Mieka! It is just amazing how much we all love her! So, Pap, if you are reading this, please give her big hugs and much love from Janet! I so hope she will have computer access occasionally at least to just pop in and say hello and let us know how she is doing.
Jane, I pray your grandsons are able to connect. It will do them both a world of good just to see a familiar face from home, in the midst of that strife-filled place. And of course, prayers for their safety continue.
I have Abby here for the weekend, and she has PLANS, let me tell you! ;) She brought her little purse, with some of the money she won on her fair entries, and there are two craft shows in town today, so guess where we are going? ;D Then we are to meet a friend for lunch, she wants to finish her painting, and tonight we are supposed to attend a music program over in Meade.........Whew! Hope we last! ;)
Time to be thinking of what kind of pies to bake and take to my brother's for Thanksgiving. And I have bought only two or three gifts for Christmas, so I think maybe I'd better get in gear! ;)
Talk to you all later!
Hi everyone. It is another beautiful, cool and sunny day here in Georgia but suppose to get into the 70s later this afternoon. We are heading south of Atlanta in about an hour to pick up my wife's sister to come and spend about 10 days with us. We had thought ther step daughter-in-law and family were going to bring her here as they wanted to do some touring in Atlanta but they found that their son, who just graduated from basic training yesterday, cannot leave the Columbus-Fort Benning area so we all decided it would be best if we sort of met them half way. We picked out an interchange and will meet up close to it. We all have cell phones so will be able to stay in contact. We are looking forward to her visit and sharing Thanksgiving with her this year.
Ria, know this is a sad day for you and your son. I do hope you can focus on the happy days you all had with your first husband/father. In the area where I was raised the placing of flowers on the grave site is usually done on Memorial Day weekend.
Jane, glad you have had word from your young grandson. I know we are all praying for he, his cousin, and all of the collation soldiers in Iraq. As is evidenced by the terrorism occuring in various parts of the world their probably is no longer any safe place to avoid these cowards. I see our government has issued new security alerts for the next few days.
It was nice to hear word from Mieka.
I don't believe I have ever attended a funeral where an alter call was given. I have heard several services where the plan of salvation was preached. I wonder if this isn't related to local custom or perhaps to denomination.
Good Morning. Thanks Pat for keeping us informed on Mieka.
I had an email from Jenny this morning and she tells me she can not get on the web to come here. Lots of problems with her computer.
My client Fay, the 94 yr. old informed me yesterday that if I don't get new doors on my car with windows that work she will have to let me go. The doors on my car have no dings in them(there are no dents in my car at all) and my car works just fine, even if the windows don't work. The passenger window has not opened since I have had the car. The drivers windo I have down about 2 inches, with tape over it to keepthe water out. Blue Book on my car is $200.00 to get the doors replaced would be about $1,000. Not worth it to me when I could be saving up for another car. I don't know what to do about this or what to say to her to keep my job.

Living on Earth is expensive,
But it does include a free trip
Around the sun every year.
How long a minute is
Depends on what side of the
Bathroom door you're on.
Birthdays are good for you;
The more you have,
The longer you live.
Happiness comes through doors you
Didn't even know you left open.
Ever notice that the people who are late
Are often much jollier
Than the people who have to wait for them?
If Walmart is lowering prices every day,
How come nothing is free yet?
Some mistakes are too much fun
To only make once.
Don't cry because it's over;
Smile because it happened.
We could learn a lot from crayons;
Some are sharp, some are pretty.
Some are dull, some have weird names.
And all are different colors...but
They all exist very nicely in the same box.
A truly happy person is one who
Can enjoy the scenery on a detour.
Have an awesome day, and know that someone who thinks you're great has thought about you today! "And that person was me."
Chris and Margit :)
SONJA THANK YOU I ALSO AM PRAYING FO YOU WHEN YOU WILL GET THE CT SCAN MONDAY
BYE LOVE RIA :-*
It isn't that she is embarassed Sonja. She says it will be too hot in the car for her to ride back and forth to the store and to Eureka (14 miles) when the sun is shining. She says she doesn't want to let me go, she likes me, but she won't be able to stand the Heat??? I don't think it will be too hot during the winter and my heart gets real warm. ::)
Any way I spoke to my Pastors wife (Judy) this morning and will do as she has suggested and try again to talk to Fay about this minor problem. I don't know if it will help or not. On Monday I will call her Social Worker and tell them the problem. If she does let me go I don't want them to think it is because I did something wrong.
Thank you Ria! I appreciate your prayers. :D
I see now, Marilyn. I hope something gets worked out for you. It does get cold there, right?
It is 3 degrees here. It is way to cold for me to go outside. Mike is headed outside to start the snowblower. brrrrrrrrsssssss.....<soni shivers at the thought>
We have church practice today at 1:00 and then Chandraya has dance at 4:00. Not to much going on, but if I am going to go any where I best get my bottem dressed. ::) ;D
See you all tonight!
Sonja
Yes it does get cold here. This morning everything was frozed out side. The dogs even tippy toed when they went out. I went out and cleaned off the car windows and now it has all melted away except in the shade. I doubt seriously that it will be too hot this winter. ::)

On Eagles Wings (http://www.christianphotographers.com/sounds/on-eagles-wings.mid)
(Click to hear music)
"Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:30-31 (Also based on Psalm 91)
Words & Music: by Michael Joncas
You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord
Who abide in his shadow for life
Say to the Lord: "My refuge
My Rock in whom I trust!"
Refrain):
And He will raise you up on eagle's wings
Bear you on the breath of dawn
Make you to shine like the sun
And hold you in the palm of His hand
You need not fear the terror of the night
Nor the arrow that flies by day
Under His wings your refuge
His faithfulness your shield
For to His angels He's given a command
To guard you in all of your ways
Upon their hands they will bear you up
Lest you dash your foot against a stone
Refrain
And He will raise you up on eagle's wings
Bear you on the breath of dawn
Make you to shine like the sun
And hold you
Hold you in the palm of His hand.

Ria..........
It's hard, very hard, when we lose a loved one, and the memories, regardless of how beautiful, can be hurtsome. Someone else we all love also died, and He is the one who gives us strength when we are down. But, we must look to Him and ask for that strength. He will supply us with our needs.
Jerry........
Enjoy your day. Me thinks Etta Sue is a doll for being there for you.
Marilyn..........
Sometimes old folk are willing to cut off their nose to spite their face. Personally I would seek answers from our Lord. He's in charge and knows what's best for you even though this particular situation may seem unreasonable. After all, this is November and the cold days and months are on us. Who knows what will happen before Spring. You might also tell her that a draft would aggravate her arthritis, and a left rear window will provide plenty of air. If she's REAL grumpy, tell her you'll remove the front window and she'll have plenty of air. ;D
Folks, let us all pray about Marilyn's car ok?
James tells us that the prayers of the righteous are of great effect, and our righteousness is in Christ, His righteousness is our's.
Father God we thank you for providing a car for our sister, and now Lord. You can see the problem here, the car is coming to the end of its life, would You work a great work here for our sister, we don't know how or what will happen, but we look forward to seeing You at work in this, thank You, God our Provider,
Amen.
Amen??
Thanks Chris...
Amen!
Marilyn, I am here reading. Sorry I haven't written much lately. Seems like I have to cut down a little bit somewhere.

My quiet house has suddenly gotten noisy. My step-nephew has arrived with my partner. They spent the day together and Nathan has come home with a pair of hand-turned candle stick holders to give his mother and step-father for Christmas. They have paused here to wrap them before we take Nathan home and have an evening out for ourselves.

Another beautiful day here in northeastern New York. I'm afraid it's just spoiling us before the real winter sets in. :o

Page #4's gone nuts. It's increased twice the normal size.
Not for me, Lee. But there always does seem to be at least one page that's way huge. I haven't been able to figure out what triggers it, and it seems it's not the same for everyone.
Is it OK now, Lee?
I edited Marilyn's post to be font size 5 as "Young PHotographer" is a very wide name.
That is probably why this happened.
Looks normal to me too. But I do know what you mean, it does happen once in a while

Never grow old, never grow old,
In a land where we'll never grow old;
Never grow old, never grow old,
In a land where we'll never grow old.
In that beautiful home where we'll never more roam,
We shall be in the sweet by and by;
Happy praise to the King through eternity sing,
'Tis a land where we never shall die.
Refrain
When our work here is done and the life crown is won,
And our troubles and trials are o'er;
All our sorrow will end, and our voices will blend,
With the loved ones who've gone on before.
Refrain

Hello everyone. Just sat here and read everyones messages. Got home a little while ago from doing a training session for another trucking company and I made it home before the predicted freezing rain for this area tonight.
Some of the topics I am finding interesting on CP and am enjoying reading the different points of view by you folks.
Ria just want you to know that you are being prayed for on this difficult day for you. Its good to see you post on CP as well and your english is very good. I guess interactiing with the folks on CP is helping you develope ypur english even futher. The only hting that I miss with the interaction on the computer is the accents that the folks have in the various areas of the country. That is one thing that I really enjoy about getting around to the different areas where I go. For instance I can sit and listen to the accents of the southern US all day long.
Well after talking to my boss yesterday it is confirmed to me that I have definately made the right decision to move to thie Company that I now work for. It is so gret to feel appreciated for what you do. God has definately answered prayer in this area of our lives.
Well i am going to make it short tonight and start thinking about hitting the hay. Tomorrow is church and I want to be rested, It has been a long day.
God bless everyone of you.
John
HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JERRY!!! And many more!! ;D ;D ;D
Thank you Pat... for those lovely songs... especially "On Eagle's wings" Whenever the music comes on or I sing, my cat, the calico one named Katie, jumps up on my lap and cuddles up. She seems to love music. Funny eh. She is such a lovely cat.
Marilyn...sorry about your car... but God will find a solution. Maybe you should do what Lee suggested. Do you think your client would be happy with that? ha ha
I was visiting my little twin granddaughters today. Jessie is blond and petite and a live wire like her daddy. Jaiden is dark and placid like her mommy. I had such a good time. They wave bye bye and Jaiden says "Nana" I thank God for my grandchildren.
God Bless
Ruthie

That kind of thing is done with Macromedia Flash, Etta.
A really late HELLO to everyone :-)
Karma also sends here "Hello!" She's already gone to bed, if you can believe that! Karma has had a really hard week, and she spent several hours today shopping. She's had two different headaches today. I think it scares her and obviously it makes her feel really bad too.
Well, Marilyn, does she want the windows up or down? Terribly sorry to hear about the trouble you are having. I pray that it works out to the best.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JERRY!!! You go, bro!
The caffeine from my sweet tea at dinner tonight is apparently going to keep me awake, but I am dead tired, so I may go to bed anyway. Good night to everyone!!!!
Dear Brothers and Sisters
As my Christian Family I am asking for prayers for my children and for my husband and for myself-These last 5 weeks the enemy has really been attacking us in our health--Yesterday my youngest daughter came down with a bad cold and tonight I noticed our sons eyes getting redder and redder and had my husband take him to the after hours clinic-he is complaining of a headache-I think he might have conjuctivitis or an ear infection..
Please pray for Gods healing..
JERRY So sorry to miss wishing you a happy birthday--but here is a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY...
Hope everyone has a very happy sunday!
Hugs
Rachelle
Sure hope and pray your kids get better soon :) It never ceases to amaze me how I get sick on Saturday night, Sunday morning, and Sunday afternoon, then recover miraculously on Monday morning!!! It's also interesting to study how busy I always am on Wednesday nights!!! I really do believe Satan steps up his attacks at those times, in much the same way he "encourages" children to cry and fuss during invitation time at church. (I'm not a big fan of church nurseries, so a lot of churches I've been in are witness to this situation :) )
Rachelle, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
I am off to bed. I have an early day.
Thank you Janet for your help with my cooking issues. I couldn't have done it without you. ((hug))! I love ham and beans. I wish everyone in my house liked them. They are so easy to cook. ;D
The apricot glazed meatballs turned out perfect. It was so hard to only eat 1. The stuffing is pretty good to. I am sure the folks at church will like them both. How did your pies turn out?
Hi Nards!
Pat, did I tell you I really liked the music you posted today? Great stuff. I am still listening to it.
Sonja, I'm so glad that you enjoyed the music. It's nice to hear that it's appreciated!
Have a good sleep!
Time to lock the door.
Here's a link for you to get to Sunday's topic...
