Morning Devotional...Gather not my soul with sinners.Psalm 26:9
Fear made David pray thus, for something whispered, "
Perhaps, after all, thou mayst be gathered with the wicked."
That fear, although marred by unbelief, springs, in the main, from holy anxiety, arising from the recollection of past sin. Even the pardoned man will enquire, "What if at the end my sins should be remembered, and I should be left out of the catalogue of the saved?"
He recollects his present unfruitfulness–so little grace, so little love, so little holiness, and looking forward to the future, he considers his weakness and the many temptations which beset him, and he fears that he may fall, and become a prey to the enemy.
A sense of sin and present evil, and his prevailing corruptions, compel him to pray, in fear and trembling, "
Gather not my soul with sinners."
Reader, if you have prayed this prayer, and if your character be rightly described in the Psalm from which it is taken, you need not be afraid that you shall be gathered with sinners.
Have you the two virtues which David had–the
outward walking in integrity, and the
inward trusting in the Lord? Are you resting upon Christ's sacrifice, and can you compass the altar of God with humble hope?
If so, rest assured, with the wicked you never shall be gathered, for that calamity is impossible. The gathering at the judgment is like to like.
"Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn." If, then, thou art like God's people, thou shalt be with God's people. You cannot be gathered with the wicked, for you are too dearly bought.
Redeemed by the blood of Christ, you are His for ever, and where He is, there must His people be. You are loved too much to be cast away with reprobates.
Shall one dear to Christ perish? Impossible!
Hell cannot hold thee!
Heaven claims thee!
Trust in thy Surety and fear not!

Redeemed, how I love to proclaim it!
Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;
Redeemed through His infinite mercy,
His child and forever I am.
Refrain
Redeemed, redeemed,
Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;
Redeemed, redeemed,
His child and forever I am.
Redeemed, and so happy in Jesus,
No language my rapture can tell;
I know that the light of His presence
With me doth continually dwell.
Refrain
I think of my blessèd Redeemer,
I think of Him all the day long:
I sing, for I cannot be silent;
His love is the theme of my song.
Refrain
I know there is a crown that is waiting,
In yonder bright mansion for me,
And soon, with the spirits made perfect,
At home with the Lord I shall be.

Hello Liz and Jane Walker!
It is getting late and this has been a busy day. Must go to Victoria tomorrow and so thought to check in now. Lots of rain and I am still trying to get warm!!
Thanks for the devotionals Pat & Iain. Read all the posts and lots to think about...except turkey. Had my fill at our Thanksgiving and can wait until Christmas. This sure is a dangerous season for the birds.
Your new picture is lovely, Marilyn. It looks blue on my screen and is a pretty shade. Glad that you are able to stay with that Lady for awhile longer. Maybe your car will grow on her???
Wonderful music and I put some of it in my favorites for later singing. Sure does lift the spirit. Seems that Satan keeps trying to get me to be depressed. Will spend more time here where positive things happen.
Welcome to all the many new folks. Glad that you are posting and hope you find this a safe harbor.
God Bless and pleasant dreams to all.

SIMPLE THINGS
The Lord has done this, and
it is marvelous in our eyes.
God, help us to rejoice in simple things-
the work You've given us to do,
the health and strength with which to do it...
the food You've given us to eat,
the family gathered close to share it...
the gift of another day to live,
and the grace and goodness to enjoy it.

After praying for a certain person who was much on my mind and heart this morning I read this and decided to pass it on:-
'Nevertheless afterward..' (Hebrews Chapter 12 Verse 11)
''There is a legend that tells of a German baron who at his castle on the Rhine, stretched wires from tower to tower, that the winds might convert them into an Aeolian harp. And the soft breezes played about the castle, but no music was born.
But one night there arose a great tempest, and hill and castle were smitten by the fury of the mighty winds. The baron went to the threshold to look out upon the terror of the storm, and the Aeolian harp was filling the air with strains that rang out even above the clamour of the tempest. It needed the tempest to bring out the music!
And have we not known men and women whose lives have not given out any entrancing music in the day of calm prosperity, but who, when the tempest drove against them have astonished their fellows by the power and strength of their music?''
Chris did a great job last night as Conductor. I told you the boy had talent. Tee Hee!!
Do you sing Jehovah Tsidkenu across the water or in Holland?
LOL
Prayerfully yours
Iain
Thanks Iain, for that timely devotional...
Here's the hymn you mentioned...
It's one of my favorites.

Jehovah Tsidkenu (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/gordon.mpga)
(Click to hear music)
"THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS"
(The watchword of the Reformers.)
I once was a stranger to grace and to God,
I knew not my danger, and felt not my load;
Though friends spoke in rapture of Christ on the tree,
Jehovah Tsidkenu was nothing to me.
I oft read with pleasure, to sooth or engage,
Isaiah's wild measure and John's simple page;
But e'en when they pictured the blood-sprinkled tree
Jehovah Tsidkenu seem'd nothing to me.
Like tears from the daughters of Zion that roll,
I wept when the waters went over His soul;
Yet thought not that my sins had nail'd to the tree
Jehovah Tsidkenu - 'twas nothing to me.
When free grace awoke me, by light from on high,
Then legal fears shook me, I trembled to die;
No refuge, no safety in self could I see, -
Jehovah Tsidkenu my Saviour must be.
My terrors all vanished before the sweet name;
My guilty fears banished, with boldness I came
To drink at the fountain, life-giving and free, -
Jehovah Tsidkenu is all things to me.
Jehovah Tsidkenu! my treasure and boast,
Jehovah Tsidkenu! I ne'er can be lost;
In thee I shall conquer by flood and by field,
My cable, my anchor, my breast-plate and shield!
Even treading the valley, the shadow of death,
This "watchword" shall rally my faltering breath;
For while from life's fever my God sets me free,
Jehovah Tsidkenu, my death song shall be.

Thanks for that sis, I hope others enjoy it as much as I do.
There is another which is one of my favourites that is full of meaning written by Samuel Rutherford called - 'The sands of time are sinking.' These were his last words.
Good Afternoon from England.
It is pouring with rain............"Raining cats and dogs"
My computer is running a little more smoothly thank-you folks. Still Mr. Nachi is here waving at me. His days are numbered, I don't know how many until I sort things out.
I came across an amusing little snippet this morning in a "Friendship Book"...........
Charles Haddon Spurgeon Was once visited by a fellow minister with an unusual type of problem.
Apparently there was a member of his congregation who used to stuff a finger in each ear at the beginning of his sermon, and sit there with his ears blocked until it was over. What could he, the preacher, do about it?
Spurgeon kept a straight face as he murmured, "I should pray for a fly to alight on his nose".
The Lord Bless all of you
A Peacefilled weekend.
May mercy and truth flow together ........
Jenny X
Morning all,
Iain, you are a star lol, a bright and shining one.
Lee drive slow and pray lol.
Jenny hang on there lass, you'll get there.
Pat, pray and praise, there is great power in praise, it releases God's power in your life and drives away all fear. "and when they had sung an hymn, they went out to the mount of olives."
It seems important that Jesus and the disciples praised God before they went out into the world of betrayal and the crucifixion.
Iain, speaking of old Germans ha haaaaaa.
Spiritual Warfare and Sin: What Past?
I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake;
and I will not remember your sins.
--Isaiah 43:25
One of the old German devotional philosophers took the position that
God loves to forgive big sins more than He does little sins because
the bigger the sin, the more glory accrues to Him for his
forgiveness. I remember the writer went on to say that not only does
God forgive sins and enjoy doing it, but as soon as He has forgiven
them, He forgets them and trusts the person just as if he or she had
never sinned. I share his view that God not only forgives great sins
as readily as little ones, but once He has forgiven them He starts
anew right there and never brings up the old sins again....
When a person makes a mistake and has to be forgiven, the shadow may
hang over him or her because it is hard for other people to forget.
But when God forgives, He begins the new page right there, and then
the devil runs up and says, "What about this person's past?" God
replies: "What past? There is no past. We started out fresh when he
came to Me and I forgave him!" Faith Beyond Reason, 112.
"Lord, this concept is so foreign to our human understanding and our
human way of doing things. Your grace in forgiving--and forgetting--
is beyond our comprehension. But I worship You for it today. Amen."

It's been soooo refreshing here this morning! I had to read and reread again, because all of it applied to me! "Gather not my soul with sinners" - reminded me of Phil. 1:6 - "He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the Day of Jesus Christ." He began it, not I. He will finish it, not I. Oh the price that was paid for my soul! Jesus experienced the guilt of all my sin - as though it were all His! It is unthinkable. Oh that we might be reminded of it each time we partake of the cup and of the bread of His special supper! And oh that we might not forget it as we go on in life in this world. Oh that it might keep us from sin!
Jehovah Tsidkenu - He alone.
Good Morning> Iain thank you for your words this morning> Pat thank you for the devotional "Gather not my soul with the wicked." Oh my goodness, I am such a sinner and Have been severly chastised by the Lord. I'll not go into details here, but the Lord as Spanked me good. "Gather not my soul with sinners" really jumped out at me this morning.
I have been in touch with a lady from my church that told me of someone at church who may be able to repair the windows on my car. So hold that up in prayer.
then I will be able to stay working for Fay here in McKinleyville. There is also a couple at church who need some help and I am going to try to get some work with them. I would love to work for this Godly couple, he is very old fashioned (the man comes first) and she is such a sweet spirit and has been very ill for a long time. So lift that up also.
I have an unspoken request too. I know this should have been in prayers but I wanted to make sure every one sees it. Brother Al and Jenny, you already know the details of this request.
It is pouring rain here this morning and the wind was blowing most of thenight with a little rain off and on. I could hear the rain inmy sleep and started dreaming that I was in a big lake swimming, Me who is afraid to be in water over my head. :-[
I will be back later
Thanks for the morning devotions. It is awesome to know that Jesus died for my sins and that they are never more. Only the present and the future is what God has in store for me. I know I am a sinner but I also have faith that when I ask forgiveness for my sins, God forgives me. I believe this. It is a done deal.
Oh, it is lonesome here today. I took Jerry home yesterday. I went to the mailbox this morning and decided to visit with Ivalou. No one came to the door but her car was in the garage. So I walked to Kaye Don's. She wasn't there but Kaye Don was showing me his new laptop and options. I also had forgotten that Ivalou is on a bus trip to Longaberger basket factory in Ohio today. Also Kaye Don and Barb are leaving around noon today for Destin, FL. So soon I will be all by myself in the neighborhood. Sometimes I like that...sometimes I don't.

Good morning from Windy Wyoming and boy, is it windy today! I guess that means I don't have to fix my hair. ::) ;D
Thank you, Pat, Iain, and Chris for the wonderful scriptures. They had great meaning to me as well.
My family and I are going to be busy putting up the tree and lights around the house. I will take pictures!
Can't wait to see Lila Mae's expression when we get the big tree out of the box. Got to have the camera ready. Yes, we have a fake tree, but everyone says it looks real.
Al, Pil. 4:6 is a verse I have memorized since I was 17 years old. I will never forget it.
I think the devil does get into our heads and tells us that God does not forgive our sins. He is good at that. I am growing and remembering all that you folks say in here and forgiving myself.
You are all a blessing to my life, thank you!
Marilyn, you are in my prayers!
Rachelle, Glad to see you getting your shopping done.
How is school going with the youngens?
Pat, I love you!
Jenny~ Glad to hear your computer is doing better. I wouldn't know what to do with myself it that happened to me. ::)
Hi Ria! (((hug)))
I best be off. My tummy is growling!
Lots of Love
Sonja
Hi Etta Sue! Sorry you are so lonely. I always seem to get lonely after a big family get together. I think for me it is more so missing the family then feeling lonely. ::)
You can do more of your power thing that you've been getting into.
You got any snow there yet?
Sonja, as my son and I drove back from Atlanta, we watched heavy clouds begin to form, then the wind became fierce. After a few miles rain spattered, then stopped, the sun showed up in the distance just for a moment - but long enough to allow a rainbow to form in all its beauty. Then, about 30 miles from home, the raindrops changed to snowflakes.
True, we don't have a heavy snow and the flurries have moved on eastward, but what a variety of weather for one 5 hour trip!
Love to all who come here.
Ruth Ann
Chris..
Thanks Brother.
Confirmation indeed! I told someone today that satan was playing games...such a liar...such a slimy, creepy thing! I stamped on him....satan is just like this Nachi worm, disguising himself. Just when you think he's gone up he pops again, to do more damage...
Well I did manage a short ride this afternoon, in the wind and rain. Didn't stay out too long though.I heeded my body when it started to go numb and the pins and needles came in my head. They come there because there's a nice empty space for them...Ha Ha!...(Before our Chris makes a joke...)
I just changed the format of my Windows, a nice Pink shade and bigger type. Less glare. Thank-God for that. Yes thank-God for the small mercies as well as the big ones.
Pat......May our Lord "Lift up your head" that's what He does! Our light affliction is but for a moment dear sister.
Ruth Ann What a wonderful sign for you, a promise of blessings.
Love to all.
Prayers too.

Good Morning Sonja ;D
HI Suzanne! What are your plans for the day? Did you put up your tree yet? :D
No tree yet, I don't think I am ready for Christmas yet. :o
I think I will give a week or two before I put it up, it always looks so droopy by Christmas if I put it up on Thanksgiving weekend. ???
It's so windy here too, Sonja! It kept me awake a lot in the night and then the phone rang first at 3:30 am and I answered it and no one there. Then it rang again at about 4:15 am and no one there! ::) :o So I got up and went into the kitchen and checked my phone for the callers and there was the number sitting there so I dialed it. It rang about 10 times and then the answering machine came on, "Hey! You got Joe here! As you can see, I'm unavailable so leave a message!" so I did. I said, "Joe, I guess you're unavailable since you're sleeping. I was sleeping too but was awakened by your two phone calls. Please check your numbers more carefully in the future when you call someone in the middle of the night!" and I hung up.
Then I came and saw Iain on here! And we sang a hymn together. I love that hymn.
The sun is shining brightly outside right now but the wind is howling so hard.
Let's continue sharing a scripture verse that has meant much to us during this day.
I really enjoy reading how God's Word blesses others.
Well, Al Moak has given us the first little study on Mark chapter 2! These little studies are so good and now is the time to go through a book of the Bible with our brother Al. I so enjoy them.
Here's a link to the study he just put in today... Mark 2 (http://christianphotographers.com/yabbse/index.php?board=4;action=display;threadid=1879)
but if you'd like to start at the beginning of the book, here's a link to Mark 1 (http://christianphotographers.com/yabbse/index.php?board=4;action=display;threadid=1376).
They are excellent!
Hi Suzanne! How's work going? Did you find out if you can post a message from the computer at work? If not, can you still read in here?
Hi Pat,
I haven't checked to see if I could post from work yet, I still read all of the posts though.
Could I make a small prayer request?
I have been having some anxiety attacks with what I think maybe a little depression too.
I need a few prayers going up, pleaseeeee!
Thank you all so much,
Suzanne
It is good to see each one today. We went walking in the Mall today. I am getting stronger now and I made it once all the way around.
Marilyn, I like your new picture. I almost didn't recognize you.
Pat, I know you are glad to forget the dentist for awhile. It seems to me that it is taking a long time for this work to be done. I hope it will be over soon.
1 Tim 1:15-17
15 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners-- of whom I am the worst.
16 But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life.
17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (NIV)

Thanks Papa John for those wonderful scriptures to memorize.
1 Timothy 1:15-17
1 Timothy 1:15-17
1 Timothy 1:15-17
I think I got it. I will see if I remember by the end of the day.
It takes me a long time to memorize a scripture. I usually write it down and go back to it several times a day or days until it gets into my spirit and flows naturally from my mouth. I would rather be speaking scripture than the foul language I used in my other life B.C. (Before Christ).
Please do not think that I believe in reincarnation,I DO NOT.

"The wedding of the Lamb has come,
and His bride has made herself ready."
Revelation 19:7
Words: Anne R. Cousin
Music: "Rutherford," Chrétien d'Urhan, 1734
The sands of time are sinking, the dawn of heaven breaks;
The summer morn I've sighed for—the fair, sweet morn awakes:
Dark, dark hath been the midnight, but dayspring is at hand,
And glory, glory dwelleth in Immanuel's land.
O Christ, He is the fountain, the deep, sweet well of love!
The streams of earth I've tasted more deep I'll drink above:
There to an ocean fullness His mercy doth expand,
And glory, glory dwelleth in Immanuel's land.
Oh! Well it is forever, Oh! well forevermore,
My nest hung in no forest of all this death doomed shore:
Yea, let the vain world vanish, as from the ship the strand,
While glory—glory dwelleth in Immanuel's land.
There the Red Rose of Sharon unfolds its heartsome bloom
And fills the air of heaven with ravishing perfume:
Oh! To behold it blossom, while by its fragrance fanned
Where glory—glory dwelleth in Immanuel's land.
The King there in His beauty, without a veil is seen:
It were a well spent journey, though seven deaths lay between:
The Lamb with His fair army, doth on Mount Zion stand,
And glory—glory dwelleth in Immanuel's land.
Oft in yon sea beat prison My Lord and I held tryst,
For Anwoth was not heaven, and preaching was not Christ:
And aye, my murkiest storm cloud was by a rainbow spanned,
Caught from the glory dwelling in Immanuel's land.
But that He built a Heaven of His surpassing love,
A little new Jerusalem, like to the one above,
"Lord take me over the water" hath been my loud demand,
Take me to my love's own country, unto Immanuel's land.
But flowers need nights cool darkness, the moonlight and the dew;
So Christ, from one who loved it, His shining oft withdrew:
And then, for cause of absence my troubled soul I scanned
But glory shadeless shineth in Immanuel's land.
The little birds of Anwoth, I used to count them blessed,
Now, beside happier altars I go to build my nest:
Over these there broods no silence, no graves around them stand,
For glory, deathless, dwelleth in Immanuel's land.
Fair Anwoth by the Solway, to me thou still art dear,
Even from the verge of heaven, I drop for thee a tear.
Oh! If one soul from Anwoth meet me at God's right hand,
My heaven will be two heavens, In Immanuel's land.
I've wrestled on towards Heaven, against storm and wind and tide,
Now, like a weary traveler that leaneth on his guide,
Amid the shades of evening, while sinks life's lingering sand,
I hail the glory dawning from Immanuel's land.
Deep waters crossed life's pathway, the hedge of thorns was sharp;
Now, these lie all behind me Oh! for a well tuned harp!
Oh! To join hallelujah with yon triumphant band,
Who sing where glory dwelleth in Immanuel's land.
With mercy and with judgment my web of time He wove,
And aye, the dews of sorrow were lustered with His love;
I'll bless the hand that guided, I'll bless the heart that planned
When throned where glory dwelleth in Immanuel's land.
Soon shall the cup of glory wash down earth's bitterest woes,
Soon shall the desert briar break into Eden's rose;
The curse shall change to blessing the name on earth that's banned
Be graven on the white stone in Immanuel's land.
O I am my Beloved's and my Beloved's mine!
He brings a poor vile sinner into His "house of wine."
I stand upon His merit—I know no other stand,
Not even where glory dwelleth in Immanuel's land.
I shall sleep sound in Jesus, filled with His likeness rise,
To love and to adore Him, to see Him with these eyes:
'Tween me and resurrection but Paradise doth stand;
Then—then for glory dwelling in Immanuel's land.
The Bride eyes not her garment, but her dear Bridegroom's face;
I will not gaze at glory but on my King of grace.
Not at the crown He giveth but on His pierced hand;
The Lamb is all the glory of Immanuel's land.
I have borne scorn and hatred, I have borne wrong and shame,
Earth's proud ones have reproached me for Christ's thrice blessed Name:
Where God His seal set fairest they've stamped the foulest brand,
But judgment shines like noonday in Immanuel's land.
They've summoned me before them, but there I may not come,
My Lord says "Come up hither," My Lord says "Welcome home!"
My King, at His white throne, my presence doth command
Where glory—glory dwelleth in Immanuel's land.

That is a very long hymn but oh, what words. Usually, in our church hymn books there are only about 4 or maybe 5 verses but I thought I'd put all that I know of.
Whatever little player you have to play music on your computers, you usually can set in the "Preferences" to play "continuously" or "Allow looping" and that will give you the music over and over and over. That's how I have my Crescendo and RealPlayer set up.

Good afternoon to all that come in here
In Fridays NEM, Pat, wanted to know if we had a scripture verse that meant something special to us.
I, like you all, have many special verses, but one that had never been among them is the following. I would very much like to share it with the group. :)
I said in a post a few days ago I was reading the book "The Night Cometh" by Paul W. Powell. In one part of the book he was discussing the scripture of John 12:1-8 in expressing our love not only for the Lord but especially for our loved ones.
After Judas had commented, (read the scripture if you do not recall it) that the ointment could have been sold and the money given to the poor. Jesus in his answer to Judas said these words, " For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always."
What Jesus said of himself is true of every friend and every loved one we have. Powell suggests we write beneath the pictures of our loved ones, "Me ye have not always."
"Those nearest and dearest to you in your family, those perhaps in some distant place, will not be with you always. Whatever you need to say to them, whatever you want to do for them, do it now. Do it while the opportunity exists,"for the night cometh when no man shall work."
I gathered my Grandchildren together on Thanksgiving and told them of my love for them and my hope and prayer that we would all meet in Heaven some day.
I said much more to my Grandchildren, but will not bore you all with that at the present.

Written by Martin Nystrom
Psalm 42:1
"As the hart panteth after the water brooks,
so panteth my soul after thee, O God."
As the deer panteth for the water,
So my soul longs after you.
You alone are my hearts desire,
And I long to worship You.
Chorus
You alone are my strength, my shield;
To You alone may my spirit yield.
You alone are my hearts desire,
and I long to worship You.
I want you more than gold or silver,
Only You can satisfy.
You alone are the real joy giver
And the apple of my eye.
Chorus
You alone are my strength, my shield;
To You alone may my spirit yield.
You alone are my hearts desire,
and I long to worship You.
You're my friend and You're my brother,
Even though you are a King.
I love You more than any other
So much more than anything.
Chorus
You alone are my strength, my shield;
To You alone may my spirit yield.
You alone are my hearts desire,
and I long to worship You.

Hi Sonja-
School is going great! However we have been on Thanksgiving Break! We will start back on Monday. Im using today and tomorrow to catch up on grading and recording-and planning for next week.
I have to go grocery shopping today too-so, I am busy-
Hope you have a great day..
Rachelle
Boots, thank you for the good thought about doing for our loved ones while we still have them. Often people are so sorry when they lose someone and no longer can do what they intended to do for that person.
Tell your love ones you love them today. Tomorrow they may not be around.
Marilyn, if that dress is purple does that mean you have purple eyes? ???

Oh, how true! This is so important. I'm so happy that the very last thing I heard Jack say on this earth was "Honey, I love you so much!" and I'll never forget that. At the hospital, as he was being wheeled in through the emergency, I yelled at the top of my voice to him, "Jack Scott, I love you too!" and he nodded his head so I know he heard me. He was 'brain-dead' 25 minutes later.
How horrible to think that maybe, just maybe, we might have had a disagreement or a quarrel instead. Yes,
Papa John, this is something that weighs heavy on my heart that family members do so much squabbling and then if one passes away into glory, oh, how sad a day that will be if the wrong hadn't been righted.
Thanks for those words, Papa John. They mean much to me today.

Praise the Lord indeed.

Let me clarify myself. I am not sad because I am lonely or lonesome. I am really not sad at all. But several times I thought to myself, I am alone. Only because Ivalou, Barb, Kaye Don and Jerry aren't here. This doesn't happen very often but when it does, I do feel alone.
Memorizing 101. Some one showed me this little trick. One of the verses we were to memorize for 'The Purpose Driven Life' was
Your attitude should be the same
as that of Christ Jesus... Phil 2:5
That is simple but when I was told the little trick, it sure simplified it.
I took a little card and typed out the verse. Then turned it over and typed
Y A S B T S
A T O C J...Phil 2:5
It is remarkable how you seem to memorize quicker that way. Well, anyway....it works for me!!!
L T L Y G W A
Y H A W A Y S
A W A Y M A W A
Y S. Mark 12:30
It is simple.
Well, it has been a lazy day. I watched some shows on the Animal Planet. I did maintenance on this pc. The phone rang and woke me up...I guess I was asleep since it woke me up... ::) Yes, I should have done a lot of things but there will be tomorrow, God willing.
P.S. I love all you guys animations!!!! They are so cute!!!!
What music do I see on my computer as soon as I come home from work and What is playing as I type this?: I"ll give you on ly one guess and you better get it right. Hint It's my favorite song.
Papa John by eyes aregreen/blue Sorry not purple
Boots...........
If you've bored the Lord, then you've bored me.
I knew it! I knew you'd say something like that, Marilyn! I'm so happy that Ria mentioned Psalm 42!
Just about time to put supper on the table - vegetable soup and nine grain bread fresh out of the machine. And it's a perfect day for that kind of supper - cold, windy, and snow flurries off and on. A supper to warm us from the inside out.
We each spent an hour this afternoon ringing the bell at the Salvation Army Kettle. Every year it's set up near the entrance to the only local market and we've been doing this for a good number of years. It's so heartwarming to see the families handing the dollar bill or the change to the children to put into the kettle.
Now Gene smells supper so I guess I'd better get to it. ;D
Pat" Of course I will always say something about as the Deer panteth for the water" If y-all wouldn't laugh I'd tell yousomethnig special about that song.
Ok ok don't twist my arm here it is; One time after one of our very annointed singspirations, (I had sang that song.) I was still singing it in the car on the way home with tears running down my face and suddenly realized that I was singing in tongues instead of English.
I know some of you here do not believe in tongues but I will forgive you for laughing. ;D
12.25 a.m. Sunday.
A Blessed Lord's Day.
Oooo.....oooooo....oooooo Heaven is in My heart.
Oooo.....oooooo....oooooo Heaven is in my heart.
Heaven is in my heart Lord, Heaven is in my heart.
Yes Marilyn...I also receive that wonderful gift at times of great need and distress, the Lord gives the anointing., that first time was beyond description....However St. Paul tells us "he that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church" 1 Cor 14:4.
Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret? But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet I shew unto you a more excellent way............
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels and have not charity/love I am become as a tinkling cymbal..............Love never faileth: but whether there be prophecies they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; 1 Cor 12:30-31.....and 13:1,8.
Soon dear Ones, that which is perfect will come and all these things will have passed away...These are only snippets of the Glory which awaits us.
Praise God!!!
Keep looking forward and upward brethren. Our redemption is near...He is at the door....If anyone here does not have peace in their hearts I urge them to ask Jesus into their lives. He gives us peace, comfort and joy and the gift of eternal life through the shedding of His blood as a sacrifice for our sins.
I am past my bedtime. Goodnight and God Bless from England.
Love Jenny X
My goodness, Jenny! You ARE up late! Say hello to Christopher for me.
I love humming along with the hymns you put here Pat. "REDEMED" is one of my favourite. The Jehovah one... the words wern't familiar to me.... But the tune was. I know different words to it. (Of course, now I forget the words I was going to mention). :D
Pat - I'd love to hear "Victory in Jesus" sometime again. I know this was one of Jack's favourite hymns., and its mine too. :-*
Went to our Mall to do a bit of shoping this afternoon. Didn't stay long though, as it was "nuts"!!. Every year I say I'll Christmas shop in August....every year I procrastinate....is anyone else like that?
Every year I tell the kids "This year I'm cutting back"... does anyone else do that?....This year though I MEAN IT!....LOL.....kids think I'm kidding....are they in for a shock!...LOL ;D
QuoteThe Bride eyes not her garment, but her dear Bridegroom's face;
I will not gaze at glory but on my King of grace.
Not at the crown He giveth but on His pierced hand;
The Lamb is all the glory of Immanuel's land.
I particularly love this portion of that hymn, Pat. See 2 Cor. 4:6 and you'll see why.
SONJA: Please tell me... what is FOOSBALL? ??? ??? First I thought you made a typo., and mean't FOOTBALL....guess you didn't! :D
Etta Sue: I have felt "Alone" in church... even though there were many people around!! ...l its a terrible feeling, to feel "Alone"...!!
Soon Ivalou will be back home....., Kaye Don and Barb will be too....just remember, Jerry's son and family will be there for Christmas. Our family won't be here until Boxing Day....Norm and I will spend Christmas day alone....we plan to go to the Holiday Inn for Christmas dinner....anyone care to join us?

If you've bored the Lord, then you've bored me.
Lee I went back and read my post and changed it some, as to read not to bore the readers here. :) :)
The talk with my Grandchildren was one of my high lights of the day. All the older ones are professing Christians, I still have three young ones that will be one day.
I was well pleased with my oldest Granddaughter telling me about a Bible study they were doing and she was reminded of me when they were talking about perfection in pleasing God. :)
Of course I gave her a (((big hug))) ;D ;D

Rescue the Perishing
I have been next door for the last couple of hours, with Gilbert and the kids. Ate spaghetti with them and Gilbert I had tea. Sarah is working tonight after being off for 4 days. Gilbert is going to come over and cut down the ivy on the back fence so I won't have to worry about Happydog escaping.
Not much else happening around here. By the way I am alone all the time, just me and the dogs, so it doesn't bother me as much here as it did down south. I was out in the boonies there nearest house 1/4 mile away.
How wonderful that I've been able to read all the posts today!
You have alternately had me worshipping, praying, laughing, and, even, swallowing a lump or two in my throat.
May God richly bless each person who comes this way.

Al, that is a really wonderful verse. I'll put it in here now so we can all look at it...
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.2 Corinthians 4:6
Thanks for sharing this thought. I really enjoy that hymn.
Hi Ruth Ann... Are you able to see the other parts of CP now? Is it faster for you?
Yes, Marilyn, I'm also alone most of the time.
Well Y-all I think I will sign off for tonight. Been on the computer too much lately, sometimes all the time at home when I am not sleeping. It has stolen my time. Need to do some other things for a achange. I have all the pieces ready to sew an apron so I better get on it or it won't get done. Need to finish up a couple of small crochet projects and get out the Christmas stuff and put something up. Why am I telling you all of this,? welll I guess I am just rambling here. So Good Night
Boots.............
I read you correctly. What I was really saying was that your post(s) didn't bore me at all. I find them most informative and on track. Just a tongue in cheek.
Time for bed!!!
If you remember, say a prayer tomorrow for Bernard. He has been asked to go to a local church (his cousin's wife is the choir director) and sing "I Can Only Imagine."
Have a wonderful night/morning/afternoon!!!!
karmat
I thoroughly enjoyed the singing today. I love to sing of Christ my Saviour and what He's done for me.
Now, as we ready ourselves for the Lord's Day, let's tune our hearts to meditate only on Him.
Here's our new topic for Sunday...
http://christianphotographers.com/yabbse/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=1883 (http://christianphotographers.com/yabbse/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=1883)
We'll be remembering Bernard, Karma. May he sing to God's glory and may the congregation assembled see only Christ.
