JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Almen to what Jenny said!  Don't get on Pat's case about shutting the door!  She needs to shut it so she can get to bed!  We don't really mind if you do, you know, Pat.
Well, we've completed the paperwork on our offer for a new place in McKinleyville.  I might be able to take a picture of it and send it along.
We had a good day yesterday with God's people here.  I preached on blind Barimaeus - we need his determination, intensity, intensity, and perseverance.

I received this link in an email today....hope all of you enjoy it...

Good Morning Everyone!

Yes, it's still raining in Guelph!

I'm so happy for you, Liz.  We'll look forward to hearing now all about your move!  That will be nice to get that over.

Great words from you today, Iain.  Thanks for them.  I've printed them out and am going to sit quietly in the living room a little later and read them again.  Thanks!

Don't work too hard, Janet!  My goodness!  Just because I said I might visit you, you didn't have to go to all that bother.  ;)
LOL

Good job, Jane!  I love these little quizzes of Lee's.  (Hope he uses the underscore to represent each letter!  HAHAHAHA)

I see you got the answer too, Judy!

Nards, what a great practice to do with little Travis.  We used "Leading Little Ones to God" when our kids were little.  Each chapter is so very short with a verse to read, a song to sing and a little devotion.  Just a fantastic book.

I hope you bundle up warm when you go out on the scooter, Jenny to the park.  Do you go if it's raining?

Well, I started to post this over an hour ago and then I added a bit and then the phone rang and it was Diane.  Larry is really bad today and she just needed someone to talk to.  I may be taking her to the hospital a little later if her son can't.

Now, I must go and do some ironing.  I'll talk to you later.  Sorry for not greeting each one of you.

Al, I would love to have heard you preach on this topic.  We sure do need these characteristics, don't we?

Great news, Liz!  I hope that I have moved the last time when I moved in here.

Great news, Ruth Ann!  More children returned to the fold.

Marilyn
~ I quit cold turkey December 31, 1987.  Easiest thing I ever did and my habit lasted for 25 years.  Can't stand the smell of cigarette smoke now.

Papa John ~ It is so great to see your green posts!  Give your little bride a hug from me.  Then tell her to give it back to you ... from me.   ;) ;)

Pat ~ How are you today?  Are you still dizzy?  Fess up!  Do you need to see the doctor?  Don't put it off if you are still dizzy.

Sarah ~ I will pray for your church to become One again.

Mieka ~ So sad that you will be leaving us soon.  I am praying that you return soon also.

Congratulations, Al, on signing on the dotted line.  I lived in a mobile home for 38 years.  Thought it was less than that but since May 1963 to November 2001.  You just can't collect 'stuff'.  My policy was when you got new, you threw out the old.  Worked for me.

Marilyn and Jane I got your emails and will put you on the list of names to win the print.  Good luck to you both. I am going to have fun with this.

Busy morning for me.  I just got an email from our former pastor and his wife.  I just spent 30 minutes writing them back.  They moved to the big island of Hawaii in August.  We sure miss them all.

Ria, yes my daughter is one of the ballerinas.  She is my little model when I take pictures.  Thanks for taking the time to look at my site.  Was it easy to browse?

Pat, how are you feeling today?  Are you still dizzy? I am praying for you, but you need to help by getting some sleep.  Got it!?   :D

Good morning to the rest of you and hopefully I can come back in and read the post later.

Love ya,
Sonja

4.35 p.m. England.

Pat..I popped in here while my kettle boils for a nice cup of tea.  Lovely! No I don't go far in the rain.  This scooter has no cover and getting wet only worsens things doesn't it?Tomorrow is another day.  Some-things have to go on a back burner.
Yes I caught up with Sidney and gave him his cake.  He was pleased as ever.  Thankfully it is dry today but that old wind was blowing a gale.  We can't remember so many leaves banking up everywhere.  The trees were later  dropping them this year and there is such a mess. , all wet and sticky and mostly either in the park or..... guess where, yes in my entry or outside my wall, waiting for me and my long-handled brush and pan to get a spurt on, black bin bag and all. Anyway it's dark now and I must have a cup of tea and prepare the evening meal for me and Chris so will do that in the morning.  There will be more leaves then anyhow!

MarilynHope all went well with the doctor and that something will be done to make you more comfortable, with as little expense as possible!

Liz Great news.

Pastor Al Gosh will you be living near Marilyn now?  She is lucky.  I pray she will still remain in the area.  God certainly has a plan here.

JudyThanks dear sis. :-*  I will take on board the "word"...Amen!

I won't Post again until tomorrow.
Christopher will be on the "puter" tonight.

Love Jenny.

Oh, Jenny!  I'd love to join you for a cuppa!  What brand do you use?  Do you have a Sainsbury's near you?  Do you shop there?

Our Father,
Who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy Kingdom come;
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our debts
as we forgive our debtors,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power and the glory
Forever.
Amen.

Only one thing to add to your post dear lady.....AMEN

Etta Sue.........

Pat.   I promised I would not introduce this subject again, and I haven't.  But I did say I would address it if someone else brought it up.  Be kind to me Pat, no noodles ;)

PLEASE, I'm NOT criticizing, I LOVED your link.  However, If we are to share the Word of God we must be accurate.  No splitting of hairs here.  Your link was a direct quote from 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 (Please read it).  Why do I say this?  Simply because God says we shall meet Him in the clouds (air).  This was protrayed in your beautiful link.   BUT Let's now read what God says about His Second Coming (The Second Advent).

Please read (Matthew 24:29-31)  Please note that our Lord sends His angels from one end of haven to the other to gather His "ELECT".  That's US. and we return with Him at His Second Coming.  Please recall just exactly what the Two angels say to the men who stood where Jesus rose bodily into heaven....."Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven".     The angels specifically told the men that Jesus would come back to earth (Place His feet in the Mount of Olives).  At the Rapture when Jesus comes for His church (His Elect) and takes them (us) back to heaven, He does NOT place His feet on the earth.  He is in the clouds where we meet Him.   To fulfill His Second Coming prophecy.  Zechariah 14:4 says: "........his feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives......."  There are innumerable other Scriptures that clearly point to His Second Coming where He destroys the enemies of Israel at His Second Coming.  Immediately at His Second Coming He Judges the "Living Nations", etc. etc.  Etta Sue, the two events, the "Taking Away" (Rapture, Snatching Away) of His saints to heaven and the Second Coming are two very destinct ,seperate major events.

Lee my brother, I would rather you wouldn't be so controversial about the book of Revelation, I have very good friends who interpret it differently!
I love them and you very much but please let's agree that there are different interpretations of some end time scriptures.
Love you!
Chris.

Larry Hanna

Hi everyone.  We once again are enjoying another glorious, sunny and warm day here in Georgia.  I just now had to remove my sweat shirt as it was getting too warm here in my office.

I have just finished reading through the devotional messages and listening to The Lord's Prayer.  Pat, that is my favorite version of the music.

Sonja, I have loaded your webpage in a separate window and when I finish here I will pay a visit to your site.  I will say that just seeing the first page shows it is a very nice site.

Pat, that was exactly what I had in mind on Lee's hymn titles.  While I was too late to put in my answer, I did know the title.

Liz, it is obvious that God is answering prayers in the sale of your condo and directed just the right type of folks to purchase your unit.  Didn't you say that you will be moving in with your daughter when you move.  Sure she will be relieved to have you close at hand.  Will you have your own little apartment there with her?

Rachelle, glad to know you have good warm out clothes for your little ones with snow on the way.  After seeing Al's pictures of the snow in Idaho last year it looks like you all need very, very warm clothes.

Mieka, sorry to read that you have been feeling poorly.  Hope you are not having some effects from the smoke filled air from the fires.  Sure glad to read that they about have the fires under control out there.  You need to be well when you travel.

Jane, sure glad to read that Tim will be coming home in the foreseeable future.  Can't image having to have two of them in Iraq at the same time.

Jenny, that is so thoughtful of you to make a little cake for your friend and get it to him in the park.  Don't let that wind blow you down now.  How is your son doing with his new job and is his health improving by this time?

Ria, the market sounds like an interesting and busy place.  Stay warm over there.

Papa John, it is interesting that you posted about catching up on your Bible reading with Cornelia and you reading aloud.  I was thinking of that just a couple of days ago and thought about asking.  That is a good way to spend some extra time in recuperating.  I was so glad to get to the New Testament and am now reading the Gospel of John.  Don't think I will want to use the reading plan I followed this year for sometime again but will go back to one that has readings from both the New and Old Testaments each day.

Nards, it sounds like you all are starting a wonderful family tradition of reading the Bible together as a family.  As I look back on my family I regret not doing that.  Also hope you are feeling God's presence in your decision process.

Janet, you all work too hard!  Sometimes I am just exhausted when I read all that you and Darrel are doing!   :)

Marilyn, glad you had good news from your doctor.  Hope you can avoid any major surgery.  Where is your new computer in the shipment pipeline?  Know it must be getting close.

Boots, I got a chuckle from your posting yesterday.  Keep up the good work.

Etta Sue, that was a very impressive link you sent and thanks Lee for clarifying the Rapture and the Second Coming.

Well, hope I haven't left anyone out today and if I have it wasn't intentional.  I will try not to be so wordy tomorrow.

Rachelle

HI Everyone

PAT~The music is beautiful!  I've had it playing for the last few minutes ... very soothing!   :)

I'd stay and say "hi" to everyone who has been here since my last visit, but I gotta run .... I'm on my way to the Medical Center for a flu shot.   :-\

November 3

The most impossible of all
Is, that I e'er from sin should cease;
Yet shall it be, I know it shall:
Jesus, look to Thy faithfulness!

It is very interesting to observe how people, when they have the gospel presented to them, generally have two main objections to it, and ... the two objections are so often found in the same people.... First of all, when they hear this announcement, 'Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled', when they are told that salvation is altogether of grace, that it is something that is given by God, which they cannot merit, which they can never deserve, and about which they can do nothing except receive it, they immediately begin to object and say, 'But that is making the thing much too easy... surely salvation cannot be as easy as that'. . . .
Then, when one points out to them that it must be like that because of the character of the righteousness about which the text speaks, they begin to object and to say that that is making it much too difficult, indeed so difficult as to make it impossible. . . . They go astray, you see, about this whole question of righteousness. Righteousness to them means just being decent and moral up to a certain level. But ... righteousness ultimately means being like the Lord Jesus Christ.... That is what we have to attain unto. And, of course, the moment we realize that, then we see that it is something we ourselves cannot do, and realize that we must therefore receive it as helpless paupers, as those who have nothing in our hands at all, as those who take it entirely as a free gift . . . to object to the gospel because it 'makes things too easy', or to object to it because it makes things too difficult, is just virtually to confess that we are not Christians at all. The Christian is one who admits that the statements and the demands of the gospel are impossible, but thanks God that the gospel does the impossible for us.

Had the most unexpected phone call today.  Boy when God starts moving .......
                                 THINGS MOVE FAST
Was just talking to a dear friend (jaynie has MS) and her Mom is in hospital.  She is really not doing well.  They have to go to hospital every day to feed her.  Prayer please for Jaynie as the trips wear down her limited strength.

The girls have embarked on a community service project.  They are collecting back packs and stuffies and are donating them to the children taken in by children's services.  Sooooo we need a room to put all these knap sacks- back pasks into.  They read a story that told the main piece of luggage a child has when they are   "apprehended" is a plastic garbage bag.  They were moved to tears at this as they have a brother and sister in care..

Well tonight is air cadets so gotta run.

Love Judy

I have to prepare over 450 graphs by tomorrow afternoon, so I hurried home to give my doggie some outside "relief." And now I'm leaving to go back to work. It's faster working there, even though I CAN get online from home, but it's excruciatingly slow at home. I'd never get the work done.

Marilyn, way to go! Hi to everyone else. I've enjoyed dashing through the posts. Mieka, we love you, honey. I wish I could slide through the phone lines, ring your telephone and slither out the receiver to give you a big hug before you depart.

I'll see y'all in a couple of days.

Lee - I guessed correctly too., but couldn't get in here fast enough.
How about giving us another one to try?

Have we heard from Iain today?  I skipped to the last page., as I haven't started supper yet., so I must go and do that.  I'll be back later to "back-track" and read what all I've missed.

:-[  I told you all an untruth this morning, but not on purpose!  I was ready to get going with the tile work again, but Darrel said "not this week!"  So I have spent the day working on framing, going to visit my mom (my brother and his wife were in town, too) and other stuff.

It is cold and damp here; not raining, but misting enough to mess up your glasses if you are out in it.  We really need some moisture, though.

I have to go finish up in my framing room.  Be back later!
