RIA, your quote from Ruth 1:16 is such a good verse expressing love and loyalty.  Thanks for posting it, may I just repeat it?

The reason I wanted to print it again, is this is a part of my marriage vows.  Mary and I have lived by this verse for more than 50 years.  

Just stopped in to read some and had to respond to this one as it is special to me.

MARYLYNN Congradulations on the DELL- I bought one about 3 weeks ago and I really like it-I have the 4600 series..I didn't purchase a Monitor at the time though because I was waiting on getting our refund back from the other computer-I did get that and ordered a flat screen last week-its suppose to be here tomorrow hopefully! My current monitor is loosing the color circut and flashes back and forth and stays a pukey green-So, Im looking forward to the new monitor-I cannot work on anything really until I get something else. Well, I Just wanted to say Hi to everyone-My husband bought Nemo for the kids today-so I let them watch it, Now we got to get started with school.

Ria, your quotation for the book of Ruth also brought back memories for me.  There is a song based on it called "Whither Thou Goest, I Will Go" and my wife of 41 years chose that to be sung at our wedding.  Little did we know that she would have to live that literally as we moved to many different states and times.  Boots, that must have been a popular passage in the 50's and 60's.

Good morning.  Well, it is actually about noon here in Middle Tennessee.  

This morning we went to a funeral visitation.  A friend of ours mother passed away after a long illness.  She was 87, just 11 years older than I am.  Time seems to be going by pretty fast.

Marilyn, be careful with that electrical outlet.  There have been enough fires in California without you adding another one.  I hope it is taken care of soon.  Good luck with your new computer.

Ria, I remember when we lived in Brussels how soon it got dark and then stayed dark up into the morning.  Our Martha left to go to school in the dark and she got home in the dark.  These long nights of winter are easy to understand when you look at a map and see how much farther north you are than we are.

Judy B.,  it is too cold up there.  Right here it is 74 degrees now here.  Of course the cold weather is coming  ---  but a little later.  We got a new washer and dryer yesterday and when they were installing it the man said I would have to call a plumber to repair a connection which had corroded.  Plumbers cost big money.  I called a friend who is a good handy man.  He came and in 15 minutes had fixed the problem.  You need a friend like that to fix the furnace fan.

Good to see so many today.

Our love should extend to those whose faith may not be as strong as our own.

I should have come back sooner.  There was a blown fuse.  Furnace fuse!   Duhhhh Thank goodness I caught it before the repair man came.  That would have been a waste.

WE have had snow, that looks like it is staying, freezing rain, rain and wind.  This is the 4th of Nov.

It was 12 years ago today that we cleared the fence line for the surveyors.  We worked from early morning to late in the afternoon.  The sale of the property was finalized on Dec. 20. that year.  The rest as they say has been hustory.  WE have never regreted the move, and this is very definitely Home.

I called Melaura's Dr.  She has yet to call me back.  This is so frustrating.  I understand she is busy, but I am watching a sick girl refuse to eat.  

Well have to go so I will be back.  Are you home yet Pat?  How is the dental work going?

Just a quick pop in...

Boots and Ria:- The verse from Ruth was a special one for me too.  My dearest friend and Sister in Christ Esmeline (Amy) was always quoting this to me.  She left Jamaica in the 60s to come here with her husband.  She never returned there again, never saw her mother or her brothers and sisters again.  She told me England was now her country, where her husband went, she went. She was beautiful, a wonderful Christian wife and mother of 7 children and she died aged 53 in 1995.  The Parish Church was filled to overflowing at her funeral.

Chris and Margit.  That was beautiful.  God Bless both.

Tonight I am going out again with EE or Evangelism Explosion.   My team will go into the highways and byways and tell about that Glorious Gospel that frees  mankind and changes lives from darkness to light.

I know I will cry all day today. But it is only the pain of love in my heart.
I love all my friends here and I will miss everyone SO much. I am SO happy I did get to spend a time here on the CP with you. You are all forever in my heart as  my friends. Tomorrow it is my last day here at my home and I have much to do before I go. It is only my wish to tell you all I love you. It is my hope I will be back home again, perhaps in the summer and I will try to come here to say a Hi when I can, if I can do it.

I don't know what it is but working at the homeless shelter on Tuesdays just wears me out.  I had a short discussion with one young girl today - she lets her 4 year old son wander all around while she stays outside to smoke and talk with her friends - I went out and told her that we are not babysitters and that child is her responsibility.  She left in a huff and of course the poor boy wasn't buckled up in the back seat - oh, I could ring her neck.  A few were going to be sleeping outside tonight in their cars so we went to a thrift store and asked for a big discount for two sleeping bags & they did give me a great price.  

Janet:  It is great that CBS backed out of the movie but they should have had the ethics to do so before any protests.  Apparently not.  Thanks for your nice Hello - it was so cheery to see your note after this dismal afternoon.  

Pat:  Dentist day for you - I hope that you are doing well.  Wither Thou Goest - we moved so many times in our lives - just like Larry & Pat - that it should have been our theme.

Carol, that type of person is very frustrating!  Especially when you are trying to help them, and they don't even try to help themselves.  For instance:  if she is homeless, then how can she afford cigarettes to smoke?  There is something badly out of line in her priorities!

But bless you for working there and trying to help!  And I am glad you got a good price on the sleeping bags today!

I'm just stopping by to see what y'all have been up to since I was here last.  

I got a call to pick up my heart monitor this afternoon so I went over to the Medical Center for that.  I am supposed to wear this thing for a couple weeks, and I am scheduled for the treadmill stress test on the 13th. After that I should be done with all this testing!  

MI~ If you look in here one more time before you have to leave, I want you to know just how much you have come to mean to me.  I have so enjoyed getting to know you and our chats from time to time (sometimes very late at night when you had trouble sleeping.   )  I will always love you and "keep you in my heart" and look forward to the time when you will once again be here for us all to welcome home!  I will be looking forward to your return and then we will talk about your trip north to visit in Oregon!

Meeks - It is with terrible sadness that I bid a temporary goodbye to a friend that I will treasure forever.  I pray that you will keep your mind on Jesus Christ - He died to save you and will always be with you, even unto the end of the world.  If you have trusted Christ as your Saviour, He will NEVER leave you.  Count on it.  It's a PROMISE.  There may be times when the Lhasa feels like the end of the world, but Jesus promised to be there with you.  Your friends here cannot go with you, but we will keep you always in our prayers and in our hearts.  In the love of Jesus, God bless you.  We love you.

 Jane, I thought of you as I sat, and sat, and sat in my car waiting for Kim and Angel to get out of the doctor's office. (eyes).  We were there at 3, and didn't leave until almost 6.

 Kim has some bubbling in one of her eyes, from the surgery, and the stitches aren't coming out in that eye.  She goes back in one week and they'll decide what to do.  We won't go back to the surgeon until December, so I hope her doctor here can fix it.

  ANGEL GETS CONTACS!!   Thank you Father.  In fact, she has a trial pair on now.....and her eyes are the same size. Bless her heart.  Her stepdad always said she couldn't get contacs, but the doctor said the glasses she was wearing wouldn't help her, so I hope he'll relent and see that she'll take good care of them.    

  Tonight I'm putting on worship music, lighting some candles and spending the evening in prayer and just loving Jesus.  I haven't done this in a long time, and this afternoon I was delighted to find my heart warmed by the thought of "spending the evening with the Lover of my soul...my Jesus".  I spend a lot of time listening in times like this, and say little except maybe to sing to Him.  Our Lord is so good.  I will never get over the awe of Him wanting time with me.   Doesn't that amaze you?  He wants to be intimate with us.....to listen to our thoughts, listen to us sing to Him, to come near and warm our hearts, refresh and heal, with all assurance that He will never look at his watch or send you away.

Hi Judy...  No snow.  Just thick pea soup fog.  Took nearly 4 hours to get home!  I got a temporary bridge in the lower right.  It feels like a huge piece of plastic in my mouth!  Guess I'll get used to it.


I hope that everyone puts there messages to Mieka in that other topic so that we can keep it for her.

I am just getting back online a little whiole ago. I have been installing mynew computer and still have much to figure out. Right now trying to figure out why the speakers aren't working, What did I do wrong. Dont answer that, Got to look in the manual.
