Morning Devotional...

Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them.
Hebrews 7:25

The commanding pilot of a jumbo jet flying cross-country suffered a heart attack and died in flight. Over 300 people on board came to no harm because the co-pilot took over and landed the plane without incident.

However, for eternal salvation, there is one and only "one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Tim. 2:5).

Thank God that our Saviour will never die and we are eternally safe in Him.  "Because I live, ye shall live also" (Jn. 14:19).

Rejoice, rejoice O Christian,
lift up your voice and sing;
Eternal hallelujahs
to Jesus Christ the King.

--A. H. Ackley

Good morning everybody (or good night here in BC).  Today was a beautiful, foggy Sunday.  I am afraid I totally spaced out in church though, I have absolutely no idea what the sermon was about.  I don't even remember what I was thinking at the time.  I think I got carried away looking at the candles, they looked so beautiful, but they were getting a bit short, and went somewhere in my mind, but I simply can not remember where.  Weird.  On the bright side, the sermon went by really quick :)

Anyway, I hope all of you have a very good day.

Ursula

Skief

Nita - Don't know if you've seen it or not, but http://www.palau.org/livinit_bd/ is the website that actor Stephen Baldwin (brother of Alec) has for his ministry with extreme sports, including skateboarding.  He has done a movie together called 'Livin It' about Christian skateboarders.  You might look into getting it and showing it to the kids.  Don't wait for someone else to do something when you have a burden for it.  You never know when it could become 'too late' to change a life.  The 'Livin It' video would be a good way to touch them.  Besides they only cost $10 for the DVD.

His father saw him and was filled
with compassion for him;
He ran to his son, trew his arms around him
and kissed him.

Can you think of any greater promise
for those who seek to be righteous and just?
We will see God face to face!
Incredible.
What a blessing!
What a future!
What an incredible Father! (cf. 1 John 3:1-3)

Dear Father, Almighty King of the ages,

I truly look forward to the day that i get to see
You face to face and share in Your eternal presence!

Good morning Everyone.

Howard Keel.
I have just heard the news re the death of Howard Keel.  He was a beautiful man and much loved over here.  People have been talking about him on our local radio station.  He had a dreadful childhood, a drunken father who perpetually beat his wife and children.  His real name was Harry Clifford Leek. He signed many autographs and would stop to give a kiss and a cuddle to some of his fans.  Wonderful!  I loved his films and his singing.  Thank-God for the pleasure he gave to so many.

Ria. Goedemorgen mij klein zuster Maria Martha. De Europeaan moeten ondersteunen elkaar..Ja?  ;)

Poppies.A man on the radio is talking to a Poppy seller and it seems that the large poppy wreathes etc., are not on sale and that there are not as many official Poppy sellers nowadays.  This is because much of the money goes missing.surely a sign of the times!  Tragic when you realise that those boys are laying don their lives in Iraq just as our young men gave theirs in past wars.

God Bless.
Jenny.

Good morning, friends. I hope today is a great day with the Lord. I must go in early to work, for I don't know when the computer guy will come to work on the computer - a laptop which I'm required to take with me each day as I leave.

So, it's off to work early, I go.

Y'all take good care of yourselves.

Good morning everyone.  We had a good day for worship yesterday morning and again last night and this morning we have beautiful sunshine.

Larry, please take care of yourself.  Hopefully this last event will not bring on more problems.

Ruth Ann, when is it that you are going to England?

Good to see everyone.  Have a good day.

Acts 2:14-21
14   Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: "Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say.
15   These men are not drunk, as you suppose. It's only nine in the morning!
16   No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
17   "'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.
18   Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.
19   I will show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke.
20   The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
21   And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'[/b]

Marilyn

Good Morning< Sonya Thank you for the devotional opening NEM today.

Ria thank you for your added devotionals and prayers. I love the little poems you post each day. I really missed them when you were gone. I am so happy that you came back to us here at CP.

Tai Chia class this morning. Nita you asked me about the Tai chi classes. They are wonderful so calming and gentle. You would really love this type of excersise. It is perfect for seniors. I hope I will be able to continue to go after fay gets out of the Nursing Home.

Fay's family is telling me that she is not being very cooperative there, she refuses to get up and practice walking, saying that it will be so much easier for her to do that when she leaves tomorrow. She knows that I can not lift her or pick her up if she falls. Please pray for Fay's recovery.

Larry I am praying for you.

Hello, Friends.

Ria, I'm sorry to hear of all the troubles in your country this week.  Those problems are multiplying all over the world---another sign of the end times.  I pray things will settle down there soon, and that your weather will also improve.

Nita, I love your new photo!  Way cool!

Larry, glad you went to see about the problems you were having, and hope it was only a one time occurence.  Please continue to take care of yourself.

Hi, Papa John!  I see you have turned green again.  ;)  I always enjoy your posts.

I have to go to Hugoton again today to pick up some framing to do.  And I just might be "forced" to see Abby!  ;D ;D

Well, I have a busy day ahead, too, so best get with it!

Janet, yes I am back to green again.  I tried blue but wasn’t comfortable with it.

Ria, I am so sorry about the problems there in Holland.  I believe these problems are caused by the extremists.  Yet it seems that more and more people of Islam ARE extremists.

Jenny, I was impressed when we lived in Europe that everyone, England, France, Holland, (not Germany), celebrated the 11th of November, Armistice Day.  Today over here what we used to call Armistice Day is now Veteran’s Day.

Nita ~ I really like your photo.  As Janet said....way cool!

Larry ~ Sorry to hear of your problem but glad to hear you didn't ignore it and got it checked out.  Praying it was a one time deal.

Ria ~ I can't imagine living with bomb threats and such all around me.  I am praying for your safety.

Church was awesome yesterday.  You could really feel God's presence.  I do believe God is happy when his children are happy.  We have finished 'The 40 Days of Purpose' again so Sunday was what we called Celebration Sunday.  One service in the Christian Life Center (gym).  It started out with the band being seniors and teens and the singers being seniors and teens.  We had video testimonies from people.  We even heard and saw (video fed) the little kids...Kids Stuff.  Senior minister David spoke.  He mentioned that we should be glad when we are giving our offering for God.  After the offering plates were passed, we all clapped for the happiness it gave us to give to God.  We had more traditional and contemporary music and more testimonies.  One was the one that has the bike ministry.  He said is name was Vinnie Testeroni aka Mark Scott.  He had his biker vest and white T shirt on.  A hairnet/bonnet on, a lace apron and had a feather duster in his hand.  (This guy is about the size of Skief.  ::) )  He talked about his ministry with the prisons and as a biker he would go into the gangs areas and talk.  He said that when he was little he moved around a lot...was down south and talked with an Italian Southern accent.  He moved to the coast and talked with an Italian Surfer dude accent.  Then he said he found Christ.  And Christ even had him go to North Korea on a missionary trip and he even used him there...he was hilarious.  Then the teen minister, Danny, gave a short sermon and then David gave a short sermon.  Then the invitation.  We had about 6-7 go forward Sunday.  Awesome service.  The music was fantabulous.  The testimonies were fantabulous and the sermons were fantabulous.  And we have it all on audio cassette.  I got one for me for the car.  Jerry and I listened to it on the way to Great Wall in Anderson and back to Jerry's.  Great listening for the car.  Great variety.

Today is a busy day....like Sonja and Pat.  Too many things going on and as you can see, I am late getting to CP today.  The furnace man is coming back today.  Hope today is his last day.  Suppose to get to 28 degrees tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bye Bye, Autumn.  Hello, Winter!!!

Hello everyone.
I am back from WM's, and have my pot of mixed beans cooking. I have decided to do something different with them. I am Italianizing then buy addingt in  Italian sausage and seasoning.

So far I DO NOT have a lender, without a down payment it is very difficult. The Realtor has given me another name to try. The problem with mobile/manufactured homes in a prak is that no one wants to lend on them. Keep on praying because there is NO way I can come up with at least 20% down payment I have only got a very small savings.

I am leaving it in God's hands and trying not to be disappointed.

Skief, don't forget to let me know when you're getting in to Nashville's airport. I'd love to meet y'all - either coming or going!

Papa John, I land in London at 10 am two weeks from today. And, the flight originates at a wonderful time on Sunday, I even get to go to Sunday morning worship!

See y'all later.

I'm here, Soni!  Now, anyway............I've been all over the place today.  But I'm getting stuff marked off my to do list, and that's always a good feeling.

After our swim, I worked on mat cutting and frame assembling, also did some correspondence that needed doing (birthday cards, etc. and the packet of information on the family for my cousin Darlene), then about noon, I went to the post office, then the gas station, then to Hugoton, where I visited first grade again for a while, then to the chiropractor for an overhaul; then to Yardmaster (daughter's store) to meet with two framing customers.  Now I'm home, and need to go cut more mats and get a frame order ready to call in tomorrow.

Other than that, I've just been loafing....... ;) ;D

Some of the first graders told me they like it when I come to school with my camera.  :)

Skief........... ;D ;)

I am praying for our troops in Fallujah today.  Please, God, protect them and give them a swift victory there.

Marilyn I know exactly what you are going through.  When I moved here from Oklahoma I had only a couple dollars in my billfold ... and that was it!  The Lord was in control with even the smallest detail and, when I met with the banker, he seemed to not even understand why he was doing and saying the things he was!  This manufactured home was 20 yrs old at the time, and he said they never loan on anything older than 10 yrs; the seller had mentioned an amount she'd take as down payment and he said that was way less than they would ask ... but as long as that's what she had said, he let it go on through.  He took my car as collateral and the loan went through without a hitch ... I am praying for this same favor for you if this is the Lord's will for you.

I too pray for our Lord's best for Marilyn.  Our Lord is, after all, LORD.  I know He cares.  I know He will do what is best for His children.  But He will use our prayers to accomplish it.

I may be offline for a couple of days.  I'm purchasing a new IMac computer.  It's the one with the flat screen that has the CPU built in!  It's processor speed is 1.6 gHz, and it has an 80 GB hard drive.  I had to get something, because my present one had a built-in obsolescence - I couldn't even get into some websites with it.  Pray I get familiarized with the new one quckly, that everything gets downloaded to it quickly and efficiently, etc.

Thank you Jane I was counting on YOUR prayers. God is in control. I have been in touch with another Mortgage broker that the Realtor recommended, he is doing some research into the new lendng rules re: manufactured homes. I told him that if I wasn't able to come up with 100% financing that there is the possiblity that I would be homeless in a few months. Which is absolutely true.
