Hey all, sorry I have been MIA.  I have just been sooo busy that I don't find time to get to all my message boards.  Anyways, I wanted to stop in and say hi and see how you all are doing.

The other day I prayed that God would help me financially as I had some big expenses coming up and I didn't want to look for a job just yet because I am too busy with courses and stuff without one, anyways a day or two after I got this mail from my old bank saying they wanted to charge me some monthly service fee, well I hadn't been to the bank in years and was sure I had closed the account, so when I looked into it it turns out I had another account there I didn't even know about with almost $2000 in it!!!!  Anyways they wrote me a cheque for it and closed the account right there.

Teresa Dawn, that's wonderful news.  Isn't it great when the Lord gives us "gifts" such as this?  I'm so happy for you.

Hi Teresa Dawn it's good to hear about the $2000 dollars, that is some sum of money to forget about, but I am so happy that the Lord met your need.  It's nice to see you posting again.  When you become a world champion at the ice skating i will be able to tell my friends, "I know that young lady."  Won't that be something 

Good morning Pat, thanks for the devotional and the hymn history, I enjoyed them both.  It's good to see what inspired these hymnwriters.

I managed to get to the gym today and had a full hour workout, so I am feeling terrible now    I can't think of anything more miserable than keeping fit    Anyway, I hope everyone has a great day today and see y'all later.

No picture taking for me today.  Cloudy and rainy.  Last evening there were more tornado warnings...this time between TBear and me.  Close to TBear so I am praying that none touched down near her.  It is unusually warm in the nights here for November...the reason for tornados.  The destruction for Evansville and that area is terrible. 

I am going with Ivalou when she has her bone density test this afternoon and then...wait...this will be a surprise to all of you...WE ARE GOING TO EAT OUT SOMEWHERE!  WhoooEeee!

Good Morning sorry that I can't stay right now  Have to go to tai chi, the instructor is bringing me an ergonomic chair to see if that will help with the leg and knee problem.  It could be the way I sit at the computer with one leg folded under the chair. we'll see.

We are still working on that trailer.  They have almost licked the plumbing problems, now Darrel is laying tile in the bathrooms.  I have to go sand those cabinet doors, so can't stay here long.

Hi everyone.  

So good to see you posting again Mieka.  You gave me a laught with the "licking the plumbing problems". 

The court appearance was today and I went to court with her.  Apparently the minimum fine for driving with a suspended license is $500 and that is what the fine was.  These last two months the outgo has been extreme with the total of $800 fines we have paid plus supporting my son and his wife, who have some major expenses.  

I am thankful we have some resources to call on but, as Ruth Ann indicated, we will certainly be strictly cutting back at Christmas.  Tereasa Dawn I wish a bank would write to me and say I had forgotten an account with money in it.  Not a chance in the world.   Howevver, certainly happy for your good news.

I had a scare this morning as the courthouse has tight security.  I put my things in the basket and started through the walk through detector, which immediately went off and I quickly backed out realizing that I am never suppose to go through those due to the pace maker.  I got my card out and was waived around the detector.  I did call my doctor's office and was told it is not likely I did any damage.  They said this happens a lot at airports, etc., where we forget that we have the pacemaker.  I will be more careful in the future.

Janet, I can feel for you in cleaning and fixing up a place.  At one time we had a rental house and had a tenant who just wrecked it.  It was a nightmare. 

Marilyn, I hope the chair helps.  It is very important how we sit at the computer.

Etta Sue, I join in hoping that Tbear's area was not adversely impacted by the storms last night.  Enjoy your meal out.

Karmat, it is great that we can have computer access at the library.  I used our library system when we were having connection problems and know others have done the same.

Anthony, sorry to read that your workout didn't leave you feeling better.

Well, I have finished my lunch and it is time for a nap.  Hope everyone has a great day.  This evening is our choir practice so am looking forward to that as always enjoy the practice.  We are preparing our Christmas special music and music for the Community Thanksgiving service that will be held at our church this year.

One thing to remember is that you won't get THREE sizes of photos to see unless you upload a nice large one in the beginning. 

Also, we ask due to the cost of bandwidth that I'm now paying is that you don't use the free space we've given you, to post for other folks on some other site.   Most ISPs give their people 10 meg of space and now many don't.  I'm giving every member on Christian Photographers 10 meg of space to use as their own personal gallery.  I just hope that you will use it and that you'll go in there and comment under the photos and let the other members know what you think of their photos.

I sent one of our absent members a greeting card today from one of our lovely photos with scripture which is in the Gallery.  It's so nice to be able to do all this on the one site.

Oh WOWEEE  there's MIEKA back again!!        Mieka, I have really missed your humor.  I love that comment about licking the plumbing!   

I have been distracted these past few days, but I have been reading whenever I can get here --- and I usually visit the gallery when I have time.

The pest eliminator came around this morning for a check-up on the work I had done a couple years ago.  I have a warranty that they will do an annual inspection, but I never upgrade for anything else.  Today he told me there was substantial moss growth on my roof ... that can easily present problems around here.  So ... because I am such a good customer, he offered me half price on treatment.  They'll be here Friday afternoon.  Then they will come back in the Spring and again a year from now.  He also showed me how I could save the cost of this treatment in another way.

I have electric water heater and he explained that it keeps heating all during the day and night whether I'm using hot water or not.  He shut it off at the circuit breaker and said it only takes 20 - 30 minutes to heat water so when I am planning to shower or use the washer I can just turn it back on half an hour previous to the task.
According to him this could easily cut my electric bill in  half.  I'm certainly willing to find out.

HI MIEKA!!!!!!!!!!!  It is so good to "see" you.  I have thought of you often.  I'll have to post some more pictures of my kids so you can see my son (who is growing fast!) and my daughter (who is an absolute doll, if I say so myself).

For now, though, I gotta get back to work.

I may get to be a stringer/freelancer (writer and photog) for one of the local papers.  Cool, huh?

Mieka:  How nice to see you posting.....I can almost "see" you.    

Larry:  This is a tough financial time for you and I hope that you son finds the best job soon.  It does take time and I wish him the very best.  I didn't know that about pacemakers.

Jane:  It is good to find those money-saving ideas.  Here, a gas hot water heater is much less expensive but I know that electricity is the way to go in Oregon - it used to be really cheap years ago.  

Etta Sue:  I always enjoy your artwork on your posts.

I had this urge or compulsion or whatever this week to help at the church so ended up going to a meeting after exercising at the nearby gym.  This is the Mission Task Force group & they are helpful in habitat - plus kids going to build in Mexico, Honduras orphanage and other things as well.  Our church will raise $50,000 towards a six-plex unit - it is a real undertaking as they have never built such a unit before, only single homes.  But - land is getting so expensive in the city & it must be built in this city limits & the land is multi-zoned.  There will be interesting problems ahead.  Anyway, it is nice to have a meeting to talk about the problems and then pray about it.

I've just woken up from a very strange dream.  I dreamt I logged onto C.P. and read a message from a Chinese girl about licking the plumbing.  I was glad to open my eyes I can tell you

It was a long shift today, and my back is sore, so I won't be lingering too long but heading into the living room for some heating pad treatment with some television and I think like Pat, a cup of Tomato soup.

Yeh I have, but oh well. And Anthony, hmmmm... maybe that could work?  I'll try the speakers next.  (Don't worry I am kidding, and Yes they were on ) ROFL  They used to work for me as well, they just sorta stopped working is all.  I'll figure it out eventually (or I wont and will have to just read the hymns without the tune lol)
