Let's also remember Diana_g's family in prayer today--especially her daughter whose home has burned to the ground while she's been in the hospital on Friday.
Morning Devotional...But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
Genesis 6:8
Although sin abounded upon the face of the earth, God through His grace provided a remedy.
The ark was completely covered inside and outside with pitch (the word used for "atonement") for security. Only those that went into the ark were saved from the waters of judgment.
In due time God, in the riches of His grace, sent His only begotten Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
On the cross Christ bore God's judgment in our stead. Christ is the only ark of safety.
Are you resting in Him today?
--E. MacLelland
Grace all the work shall crown
Through everlasting days:
It lays in heaven the topmost stone,
And well deserves the praise.

May I again wish everyone a JOY filled day .
Love in Jesus' Name,

Goodmorning LEE.

The Lord Bless you dear Brother.
I Love you in Him,

You wrote: "It was a lovely gift to know that someone was thinking of me. Even ME!"
What's this "Even me" business? You bet I think of you, as do many of your friends in this forum. Please allow me to take it a leap forward. And so does our Lord God Almighty, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit of God. That's awesome. They are not only thinking of you, they are watching over you 24-7 into eternity.
Jenny, that's funny........"I am up early and posted for This morning onto yesterday, so I have popped onto Today".......[so I can say hello tomorrow while I look back to yesterday, today} ;D ;D
I know, it's you humble spirit, and it's beautiful.

Whose bringing the music?
I was to late for yesterday and since yesterday is still today....!?
Thanks for the devotional Pat. They are right, you need to rest sometime. Often wonder is you exist on only catnaps.
Here is a little poem that I rather like. Not written by me...
Faith came singing into my room
And other guests took flight.
Grief, anxiety, fear and gloom,
Sped out into the night.
I wondered that such peace could be,
But Faith said gently, "Don't you see,
That they can never live with me?"

Since here on the island it is 10:22 PM, 'tis time to turn off my computer and wish all a goodnight or goodmorning. God Bless

Y'all are the most wonderful people in the whole wide world in my opinion! :D ;D :D I love a party, especially when it is hard to get to sleep and my mind is racing around like a ... uh, what races around anyway? ... a chicken with its head cut off? A rat in a maze? uh ... er ... well, it's racing anyway! :-\
Jenny, thank you for your encouragement. I think it would be really awesome if we could all meet up one of these days ... somewhere ... sometime ...
Take care, Pat, as you prepare for the hike this day...and I will be praying for you. I know how this can bring up memories and emotions that are difficult to subdue. I also know the Lord loves you far more than you can even imagine ... He will hold you in His righteous right hand, and protect you from all foes.
Love all y'all and I plan to be here as soon as I get a few winks of sleep ... however many or few that may be. :-\
Now ... off to bed with all y'all!! Scat! Jenny and Ria, Iain, Chris and Margit ... I suppose you've already had your beauty sleep and are well into a new day called Saturday... but that's not the case here on the west coast of America! ... See y'all soon. Promise! ;)

Jenny - I was not involved long with the memebers in CP before I also wanted to meet them all. Whom having not seen, ye love.
I think Pat suggested coffee in Greenland. I think it is a wonderful prayer for you to have and it will work if the guest in Liz's poem comes to help.!
Such was my affection for my friends in Romania that prior to email I used to sign off my letters ----------'Until we meet, whether it be in time or eternity, may God richly bless you.'
I'll sign off just now as I have to upload the Islands of Inspiration site. It will take me hours.
I pray that you will all enjoy the blessings this weekend that maketh rich and addeth know sorrow.
I leave you with this Word that is on my spirit and it may prove helpful to one needy soul.
'Be still and know that I am God.'

Good morning, friends. it's great to be able to read and post in here this morning.
Thanks be to God for everyone who posts here and for everyone who passes our way but doesn't speak to us.
I can often read from my work computer, but don't dare post very often because of the fact that our very keystrokes are counted and if we rise above a certain number that are not work related, it's reported to our supervisor.
At any rate, the computer's working today, I'm feeling pretty good, and the entire day is before me here in Tennessee - I believe it will be a good day in the Lord.
I love you all.
Ruth Ann
What a bunch of early birds (late birds?) I thought sure that, coming here at 8:30 a.m. EDT, there'd hardly be any posts - and find 24 ahead of me!
I seldom turn on the computer this early, but today I wanted to check out a couple of items at online stores and decided since everything's all fired up I might as well check in here.
I've just about decided to "bite the bullet" and order FrontPage. I figured out that about 18 or 19 hours of working on the Town's website at home will pay for it. Looks as though Staples has it for about $10 less than anyplace else and shipping is free (or I can go to the store). I also need an external CDRW for my Mac and there again it's about $10 less at Staples. Sooo... Maybe we'll take a ride to Glens Falls and see if they have both items in stock.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JEN!!!
Just rushing through. I have a visiting at the funeral home and leaving in 45 minutes. Also graveside services at 11. My 90 years young aunt passed away....the last of my mother's generation :'(. God finally got her home prepared in heaven for her. Kinda sad though. She had no children...just nieces and nephews survive.
Then I am going to Jerry's. His hot water heater quit on him. Will take him to get elements for it or whatever.
My arm didn't hurt until I sat at this computer. I changed chairs and moved to the left...helps some!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JEN!!! And many more!
My goodness, while I was making ZZZZZZZs, the rest of you were having a party!! Oh, well, I needed a good night of sleep, and I did sleep the whole night! That doesn't happen very often any more, and sure feels good when it does.
It's so nice to have this safe place where we can share our hearts, and know that loving sisters and brothers in the Lord will pray with and for us. I thank God every day for CP.
I need to answer some emails, then get my girl some breakfast. Did you see her Smile Snack in the Foods challenge? ;D
I will return later..................
Hi everyone. I was shocked to see so many postings so early but know that a number of them were done last night.
Pat, the devotional this morning about the pitch being equal to atonement was something I had never realized before and it certainly protrays an interesting mental image.
Hope the hike goes wonderfully well today and that you get lots of pictures. What an honor in memory of Jack to name the walk in his name.
Etta Sue, sorry to read about your aunt. Do hope your arm won't bother you too much today and that Jerry is able to fix his hot water heater as they are quite expensive to replace.
Happy Bithday, Jen. Hope you have a delightful day. How did the job interview go?
Jeanne, why is your city so bent on having their webpage done on Front Page? I find that is puts in a ton of unneeded html code and becomes difficult to edit the code. Of course, I must admit I haven't used Front Page very much.
Iain, nice to see you posting and do hope this means that you are feeling better. Hope your uploading project goes very smoothly this morning. Do you use a FTP program to accomplish that task. I find that makes uploading so much easier.
Not going to try to name names this morning, beyond my comments above. However, have read all of the postings and am happy to see each of you posting. I believe this is indeed a unique community here on the web. I read several more chapters of the book I spoke about yesterday and it just sickens me to read of the persecution of Christians in your schools and institutions of higher learning and the destruction of the moral fabric of our society. If any of you have the opportunity to read this book you will find it a real eye opener and I fear that the same things we are experiencing here in the USA are also being encountered in the rest of the Western world.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEN!!!!
I also pray that this year of your life will bring a new job that is just right for you!
A thought - Pat, you mention the ark of Noah, and it brought to mind some things. While the ark was being built, day after day, apparently no one came by, asked Noah what he was doing and how his day was going. They didn't beg him for a seat on his ark. All they did was ridicule him.
So it is with our Lord Jesus Christ. There are still none who come by and beg a seat on "salvation express." Most still ridicule this Ark just like they did the last one. But praise God - He chose a few to go on board that first ark, and they were saved. He chooses a few to go on board the second and last Ark, and they too are saved. Are you one?
Good Morning Everyone from Ruthie......
Pat called me to let me know that her cable company has a power outage....... so she won't be able to post for a while.
I am heading to Guelph for the Jack Scott Memorial Hike. It looks like a bright sunny day so far... the weather calls for showers later...but we will have a good time no matter what.
Everyone have a wonderful day and Pat will come in and post as soon as the cable is fixed.
Love Ruthie :-* :-*
Pat, sure knows how to put on a party! hehehe ;D I hope you have a wonderful hike today.
Etta Sue~sorry to hear about your aunt. Did you ever get the computer thing figured out? I love your quote of the day!

Happy Birthday Jen!
Pat, Ruthie, I hope you have enjoyed your hike.
Going to bake some Cookies.

I mentioned a song that caused a 13 year old girls heart to melt to our Saviour. This is the song. God used this song to call Melaura to the mission field in Spain. Pray that her heart remains soft to His direction.
Here I am Lord
I the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard my people cry.
All who dwell in dark and sin my hand will save.
I who made the stars and night;
I will make their darkness bright.
Who will bear my light to them, whom shall I send?
Here I am Lord, is it I Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go Lord, If you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.
I the Lord of snow and rain;
I have born my peoples pain.
I am lack for love of them; they turn away!
I will break their hearts of stone,
Give them hearts for love alone,
I will speak my word to them.
Whom shall I send?
Here I am Lord, is it I Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go Lord, If you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.
I the Lord of wind and flame;
I will tend the poor and lame.
I will set a feast for them; My hand will save.
Finest bread I will provide, till their hearts be satisfied.
I will give my life for them!
Whom shall I send?
Here I am Lord, is it I Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go Lord, If you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.
;D ;D Well I missed out on the PARTY!!! but enjoyed reading about it anyway.
I have had puter problems too and woohoo they are gone! Tony my puter tech fixed them all and has taught me some as he did the repairs.
I am at Dougs and waiting to take them grocery shopping. It is a glorious day here in the north, the sun is shining and we have the pronise of a really good day. The temp is in the teens, and the girls are helping a neighbour clean up the leaves on her lawn and garden.
John is coming home today, hopefully early enough to replace the control on the water pump. This is day 3 without water. We know the problem but I am the only adult at the farm and need to wait for a gentleman who is electrically inclined to replace the control. We have come up with enough water for toilets and for drinking.
Enjoy you day all, It is a day the Lord has made!
Bye all, Love you
JudyB
Hey, did the rest of you catch what Pat said???BEHAVE! BEHAVE?? Now, why on earth would she tell us that??? :-\ ??? (Janet thinks about what we could get into while Pat's away.....)
Any ideas, anyone? We wouldn't want Pat to think us too predictable would we?
Sonja, thanks! Abby and I are having a terrific day! And tonight we are going with Beth to see "Second Hand Lions." That's supposed to be a cute movie.
Gonna go bake cookies now----never a dull moment when you have a good helper! ;)
These words came to me this afternoon as Margit and I were having lunch together.
"I will not forget you,
I have engraved you on the palms of My hands."
Isaiah ch 49 vv15-16.
And now this beautiful hymn which always moves me deeply.
http://www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/i/a/iamhisah.htm
It speaks so wonderfully of God's unending love for you and me, and we can agree together about those wonderful times when we were first given his new life in Jesus, when we saw things which Christless eyes have never seen!
Everything was fresh and new and our love overflowed to those around us in a new and vibrant way, for it was His pure love flowing into our hearts and minds!
May we always try to stay close to Him so that He can continue these most wonderful works in us.
"Without Me, you can do nothing."
Lord Jesus, we never want to be without you, and know we never shall be, for we have Your wonderful promises.
Amen
A very nice hymn Chris and Margit
i am His and He is mine
Thank you
RIA
God bless you Ria.

Well., I see where I missed another party!.. sounds like you all had a good time.
Janet: Wish I had logged on earlier.... I could have helped you get the crew together to see what trouble we could get ourselves into while Pat was away!!! I'm wondering how the "walk" went.... it was raining off and on.
Jen: Hope you had a terrific birthday... come in and tell us how you spent it....ok? I still am looking forward to meeting your Mom.
Well, Jeanne, Pat isn't here yet, so what do you suggest?? We'd better hurry, though, she may get back any time now! ;)
Abby begged to go swimming, so we just got home from the pool. I swam my half mile, as she had other kids to play with today. I ate some of those cookies we baked earlier, so I needed to work them off! :-\
Beth is coming over to pick up Abby and me in a little while to go to the movie. See y'all later!
Well, it seems to me there are all kinds of ways to "behave". And after all, Pat didn't specify! ;D
Larry, I agree wholeheartedly with you about FrontPage. Too many little useless extras and nowhere near the control of things that you have when you write your own code. The trouble comes when there is only board member who does anything with a computer. He has his own website and maintains one for his church. However, he has never written any HTML code, only uses FrontPage so I guess he thinks that's better.
I drove all the way to Staples this afternoon (1/2 hour each way) only to find they're out of FrontPage 2002, with Version 2003 arriving on Monday (for more money, of course). But they ordered a 2002 which is supposed to be delivered to my house sometime Monday. :-\
Pat........
Your #10 ;D ;D

Wow!!!! Did everybody party except the guest of honor? Where's Jen?
Well, I got to visit with friends and family at the funeral. A beautiful day for graveside services. AND I was surprised. Our Minister of Adult Education at our church was the minister at my aunt's funeral. Her pastors were out of town so Mark presided over the service. This is also the same pastor that has opened his home for the small group study that Jerry and I are attending.
Then I ate a bite of lunch before going to Jerry's. We got a heating element for his hot water heater BUT needed a large hex nut screw driver. So back to Anderson. Then Jerry couldn't get the old element out. And it is too tight of quarters for me to get into. (in a corner of the closet after taking a panel off) So he is here with me...he had to take a bath before church tomorrow. Then we will decide what to do after church tomorrow.
My arm is still hurting some but better than this morning.
Yes, Sonja, I got the PSP8 problem fixed. All I had to do was right click on my Desktop, click on Properties. The click on Settings. The Advance. Then change the font to Small Font. That did it! I knew it would be simple. Now I am waiting for Homestead. I can upload pictures to post on here but I can do anything with my webpage. Nada nada!!! But they are working on it. Probably gone for the weekend but that is okay, too!
Gotta go and check up on the rest of this site.
Pat, I know you enjoyed your day. Sad memories but sad memories turn into glad memories when you realize Jack touched so many hearts.
Hi Pat I hope you had a good time on your hike today. Getting home rather later arent you?
We have been behaving very well today, no parties. Not without you of course.
Psst Jane don't tell her OK?
Hey Janet! I got that print up for sale. Here is the link.

Pat!!!! How was your hike??? I want to know...I've been waiting all day to hear about it. ;D
Welp I think I will put the kids to bed early tonight. I am a bit tired.
I loved the photo, Sonja. Reminds me of when I always hung our clothes on the line - my goodness, they smelled heavenly!
Jen, I hope your birthday was wonderful and simply the START of a great new year in your life.
Ruth Ann
Sonja That is a great photo. You can sure tell that you are a dancer.
Reminds me of hanging out the clothes and how good they smell after drying in the sun.
Uh oh ... PAT's home!! ::) ::) ::) But, we wuz vewy, vewy good while she was away, right Marilyn? ;) (https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.webpost.net%2Fhi%2FHisOwn%2Fskunk.gif&hash=544d1303170f39eb6ff3af6e007c77b145bf5a11)
(I'm sure glad we got the page turned just in time.) :-[
I didn't lose all my graphics when I had my hard drive reformatted after all... I discovered a cd where I had saved a bunch a long time ago. Now I can play again!! Wheeee
Nita called this afternoon ... she and Kim had just gotten back from Portland. The surgery went well, but Kim was pretty nauseated so they stayed another day before coming back. They had a nice drive to and from, and enjoyed their time together, I think. I'm sure Nita will be here as soon as she gets some much needed rest!
I'll be skulking around ... hanging out ...
loitering ...visiting other forums for a while and just might pop back in here to see what y'all are up to before saying g'night!
Hey there ETTZ and RUTH ANN!! :D :D ::)
Sonja~ I really like that photo, too! But then, I love all your photos and prints! I like to browse your website and DPC ... you are one of my favs y'know.
At DPC I am "Fren2Him" but I don't have a camera so I just snoop ... observe.
Well, hi everyone... After a nice hot bath, I'm about ready for bed. Boy! the old "Uncle Arther-itis" sure does a number when he decided to settle in the knees!
But we did fine. Ruthie came from Toronto and it was so good to see her. We don't get together enough but we hope to remedy that in the coming days.
Ian and his wee David came. Andrew, Terena and little Rebecca also came along with several that I didn't know.
I had made a card for everyone with a photo of Jack on the front and they seemed to appreciate this wee momento of Jack Scott.
It was quite rainy before the hike and after but during it, it was only spitting off and on and quite pleasant to walk.
Now, I'm going to get the new New Every Morning up as soon as I have it ready and am going to get into bed with some Tylenol!
Glad you all had such a great day! It was so good to read Chris's word. Chris that is one of my favorite hymns as well. Thanks for your timely thoughts on Isaiah.
I was sitting here wondering how Nita was and Kim and then I scrolled down and saw your post, Jane! Great timing!
Ruth Ann and Marilyn~ Thanks! I also love the smell of line dryed cloths. :D I just don't like the feel of them. Scratchy! :-[
Jane~Igot a chuckle from reading your post. I like all the crossed out words. hehehhee.... ;D Thanks for the sweet comment about all my photos.
Pat~I am glad to see you had a wonderful time and sorry to hear about your uncle. I will keep you in my prayers. Luv you! :-*
Have a good nights sleep to all!
Hello all!!!!
We went to the zoo today and had a great time. Of all the animals, TAS liked the chickens the best. :-\ :o Who wudda thunk it???? There was a gorilla he called "old thang" that he like rather well, though. I took some pictures, but most of them have fences or wire or someother kind of barrier in them >:(. Woulda climbed over, but some of those animals weren't none too friendly lookin! ;D Hopefully, I'll get some of them posted before too awful long.
Sonja........
I'd say by your..."GoodMorning, Afternoon, or Evening Everyone!" You're a Party Crasher :P ;D ;D
Pat and Ruthie........
I KNOW you are both ladies, but I hope you didn't wear high heels today. ;)
