Morning Devotional...

By the grace of God I am what I am: and His grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain.
1 Corinthians 15:10

Commenting on this verse, the erstwhile slave runner John Newton exclaimed,

"I am not what I ought to be! Ah, how imperfect and deficient! I am not what I wish to be! I abhor that which is evil, and would cleave to that which is good. I am not what I hope to be! Soon, soon I shall put off mortality and with it all sin and imperfection. Yet though I am not what I ought to be, nor what I wish to be, nor what I hope to be, I can truly say I am not what I once was!"[/list]

Oh, the tenderness of Thine enfolding!
Oh, the faithfulness of Thine upholding!
I am needy but all fullness dwells in Thee,
And so Thy grace is enough for me.
--F. R. Havergal

Hi Pat! It is actaully very late here and I need to go to bed so I can get up in the morning..Lol..I live in Northern Idaho-we were just up to Canada in September-we went to Seattle, Washington and the Lord allowed me to find my childrens birth certificates that i misplaced 3 years ago-(thats another story)anyway-so we went to Victoria..It was so beautiful ..we were only able to stay a night..We plan on going back next year.
I found this site by another person who is in the same Paint shop Pro class that I am in-they have their pictures on this website. So, I clicked on the link-to learn more about you..I shared this site with a friend of mine too-I hope she joins.
Anyway-Got to go to bed lol.

Good Morning,  Ria!  It is 3:40 am here in Kansas, and I am having a sleepless night!  I don't know why, it just happens sometimes.
Since I am at my kids' house, I can get on the computer without disturbing anyone, so here I am!  I see you are learning some new tricks here on CP!  Good going!

WELCOME, RACHELLE!!  You will find other homeschooling Moms here, and certainly others who love to take pictures, and I love scrapbooking, so you will feel right at home!

Hey Meeks! I did figure out how to find CP from my grandson's computer, so you don't have to miss me, after all!  ;D ;D

Pat, I don't see you online now, so I hope you are making ZZZZZZZZs! :)

I guess I will go back to bed and see if I can go to sleep.  7:00 will be here all too soon! :o

PAT I don't suppose I should say "goodmorning" to you as you are off to the dentist.....Ouch!.......Thinking of you.  Journeying mercies on the roads dear, take care!

Thanks for the devotional.  It seems to fit because I was thinking of King Henry 8th this morning, probably because I watched the last  part of a two parter play about him last night. I always thought he was a Baddie, but now I have to admit I can't find any saving graces for him...AT ALL. I know I mustn't judge but he certainly wasn't what he should have been. AFTER HE DIED THE NEW ANGLICAN ARCHBISHOP CALMLY ANNOUNCED THAT THE KING HAD DIED IN THE FAITH OF CHRIST! This was after the murder of many Roman Catholics and the Dissolution of the Monasteries.
O.K. I know God used this to bring about REFORM but I think the Politicians used the church for their own ends and the play showed this "puppeteering"......EXCELLENT! DID YOU WATCH, CHRIS AND MARGIT?

WINTER IS HERE.

ETTA SUE Please send me some of that 70 degrees you talked about!.....Just a bit would do!

PAPA JOHN Hello! Hope you are resting and getting really well. Love you!

MIEKA Hello Little One.   Glad you are still here! Will miss you HEAPS!

RIA Hope you aren't getting flu! TAKE CARE SIS!  Love You Lots.

RACHELLE Hello.  You will really enjoy being part of this family.  I do.

God Bless Everyone,
Love Jenny X

Good Morning to all  and a very chilly day it is here in South Carolina.  My temp says 46 F. and although it is not near as cold as the UK, Holland and Canada..to me it is chilly.  I have veeeery thin  blood!

Pat, I do pray you will be able to drive and have that tooth extraction without being too worn out from being up all  night!  Thanks for the devotional and the thoughts of John Newton.  God  certainly has plans for each of us and uses the ones who seem to be the most unlikely to get His message through to us. Praise God!

Ria, please take care of yourself and drink plenty of fluids, rest, take extra antioxidents, drink green tea, etc. etc. etc.  We cannot have any more of our CP'rs getting sick like Jenny was last week! I will be praying for you! :)

WELCOME to our newest member, RACHELLE

Well, I must get ready for work..it's after 7AM

I'm way behind on my reading due to the weekend.

Good morning everyone!!!  :D :)

I am sorry I wasn't here all weekend!  Thank you all so much for the lovely cards and greetings.  What a pleasant surprise to come back to!  I had a wonderful birthday.  My fiancee took me to see the Royal Botanical Gardens.  It was amazing, the outdoor roses were still in bloom, and full!  Then we drove down to Niagara Falls (I haven't seen the Falls since I was eight).

Then when we came home, my family had bought me a brand new Pentax Manual camera!!!!!  I am soooo excited!  I just have to learn how to use it now ;).  Pat, I guess I'll have to come over and get some lessons from you.

A GREAT BIG WELCOME TO JOYFULHEART!!

I'm heading off to work for now.  Again, thank you all so much.  God bless.  Jen.

Good morning all ... and welcome Rachelle  :)

Today it is cold here, and I am not looking forward to the cold season it heralds.

RE:

QuoteBy the grace of God I am what I am: and His grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain.
1 Corinthians 15:10

and,

Quote. . . Yet though I am not what I ought to be, nor what I wish to be, nor what I hope to be, I can truly say I am not what I once was!"

We all take the guidance from the Lord, and from our life experiences and change... for better preferably. I am not what I once was either, but the original passage holds true anyway "I am what I am". Sometimes I do good things, and think good things. Sometimes I don't. But I think I learn along the way, and I mostly feel I am on a positive path. I am what I am: Human. Excuse? No. Fact.
But Jesus knows this, and walks beside me anyway.

Have a good day!

Hi everyone and a big welcome to Rachelle.  It is another beautiful morning here in Georgia and they are predicting it will get up close to 80 today, although the nights are very cool.

When I got home from coffee the cleaning ladies were here and my wife had taken down the curtain from all over the house to wash and have all the blinds cleaned.  Our house will be so clean that we won't be able to stand it.   :D :D  The cleaning ladies do such a good job and we feel very fortunate to have found them.  The yard men will come tomorrow so everything will be spiffy.

Janet, glad to see you were able to sign on from where you are staying but sorry to see that you weren't sleeping well.  Also, Pat, was sorry to see that you also were having trouble sleeping.  Do hope the tooth extraction isn't too bad and that you feel up to driving home.  It seems this dental work has been going on for a long time and it must seem like an even longer time for you.

Good to see so many posting.  I am going to have another quiet day.

Mieka ~ I really don't like mowing.  But I do like the solitude that mowing gives me.  It is my time to spend with God and solve the world's problems.  Mowing leaves is a lot easier than raking on this ol' body.  Besides mulch is good for the grass...puts nutrients in the ground for growing next year.  My belief and I am sticking to it!!!  Also my mower is like an ATV.  Fun to drive.

Karma ~ You signed your post with 'Cheerios!'  Was that an exclamation or an accident...as in TAS accident??

Papa John ~ You are an inspiration.  I know God is smiling down upon you because you praise and please him so much.  God loves us and enjoys us when we praise Him.

WELCOME JOYFULHRT!!!  (aka Rachelle)

Jerry and I about ready to leave for a business meeting for him.  Then he needs to go to the pharmacy and then back home.  I took the day off from the computer yesterday.  I felt God telling me to meditate on Him and what better way than being on my mower.  Now I know my arm hurts from the sitting here.  It didn't hurt until I sat down this morning.  Soooo......

Certainly good to have you here - you'll love it!  By the way, we have another member who lives up your way - Lee Kirkwood - he lives over near Lake Pend'oreil (spelling?) in Hope, Idaho.  Are you on that side or the side near Lake courD'alene?

Hello there, Larry!  When those cleaning ladies finish there, would you please send them over to my house?  ;D Thanks!  It is really a good feeling when you get the entire house all cleaned and shining at the same time! I have the kitchen all shined up, but by the time I get through the rest of the house, it will likely have a "protective coating" (dust) on it again. >:(

We are having absolutely glorious weather here in southwest Kansas!  Yesterday's temps approached the 90 mark, and this is another lovely morning.  It is our Indian Summer, which we usually don't have until after a killing frost.  We haven't had one of those as yet, but soon will, I'm sure.  But we are really enjoying this fine weather. ;D ;D ;D

Abby is excitedly waiting for her best friend, Erin, to come over and play.  She told me "And, Grandma, Erin and I don't care if our rooms are not cleaned when we visit each other!"  Maybe we should all be more child-like at heart!  They will go to Kindergarten this afternoon.

Ria, follow that good advice you've been given, and I might add.....wash your hands thoroughly and often!  We know that, but it's even more important when dealing with cold germs.  And it really does make a difference, too.  :) ::)

I finally got to sleep about 5:30, up at 7:54 as Mark was to be at school by 8!  He was frantically searching for his wallet and car keys----of course, he found them right where he dropped them last night! :-\  So it was a hectic few minutes there.  I do know that God had the better plan, by giving us our children when we are younger!  Grandkids are the most wonderful things in the world, but it's much better when they are raised by their parents, thus leaving us grandparents to just enjoy them and enrich their lives (with our vast stores of wisdom! ;))  Really, I do think grandparents can have very positive influence in the lives of our grandkids, if we are allowed that privilege.  I thank God that Jeff and Diane have always shared these kids so unselfishly with me.

I think I know someone who may grap a nap when Abby goes to school today! :)

Morning Janet, sounds like you are going to have a busy day today.  Hope you can keep up with those little ones.  ;)

We had a swim party for Chandraya's birthday last night. She had so much fun with all her friends.  Mike's mom and dad came up for the party and stayed the night in a hotel. We got up early 6:00am and went for breakfast at Perkins.  <yawn>

I took lots of pictures and will post them for all to see.

I'll be back later. <yawn again>

Hi Janet and Sonja:
Two tired ladies. I didn't sleep all that well last night either. Used the time awake to pray and worship our Lord. So many things to pray about and hard to remember them all. You'd think I would have said all the needed prayers yesterday at the two hour long prayer meetings at the church, oh but no there is so much more.

I am also praying for a new car.  This window thing on my old VW is going to be a pain, they told me that even a used motor and chain for the window assembly is $175.00 I told them to forget it. I have someone working on getting the window closed, but that won't be any good either. Bea's son is going to work on it some more tomorrow. I hope y-all will agree with me in prayer for the Lord to supply me with another car.

It is embarrassing to drive into the church parking lot with all these newer cars and park mine beside one of them., worse now with plastic sheeting covering one of the windows.

Marilyn, I understand, but this reminds me of what a friend once told me, referring to what church he attends.  He said "God doesn't care what kind of car you drive, He only cares where you are going!."

Now, I really am leaving.  I'm 4 minutes late!

But I thought I'd share one more time the words of this hymn that has become so special to me.  I'll be listening to it in the car on the way to London.

The Enormous Load of Human Guilt

The enormous load of human guilt
Was on my Saviour laid;
With woes as with a garment He
For sinners was arrayed.

And in the fearful pangs of death
He wept, He prayed for me;
Loved and embraced my guilty soul
When nailed to the tree.

O love amazing! love beyond
The reach of human tongue;
Love which shall be the subject of
An everlasting song.

Eternity, though infinite,
Is short enough to trace
The virtues of His healing wounds,
The wonders of His grace.

Ye men, rejoice in Jesu's blood,
Ye angels, join your lays;
In one harmonious endless choir
Sing His eternal praise.

William Williams, 1717-1791

Thanks Janet: Just because I am embarased doesn't stop me from going to church or parking along sdie the new cars and trucks.  I don't even apologize for the crummy way my car looks. My car has an excellant motor and runs great  and has over 200,000 miles on it. These little Sciroccos run forevers. There are no dents or dings on it eiother, It sure could use a paint job though, the former owner used spray cans to paint it.  If I could get it fixed and painted I would be happy.

And good morning from the Oregon Coast at almost 10 am.

Welcome to all the new people.  WOW! CP is just growing and growing! For the new ones, I guess we're introducing ourselves again.  Here's me:

I'm Nita.....63 years young.  I live close to the ocean, and love it.   I also like RAIN!!!  And isn't that good, since I live in Oregon. :)  I have two kids that live here close, and another daughter and son in law who just moved to Phoenix.  I discovered digital cameras a couple of years ago, and fell in love all over again with all of God's creation.

Pat, you're gone now, but hi anyway. :)  The song lyrics you just posted are so precious.  Sometimes we forget the great cost he paid for us.  Not on purpose, but just in our busy living.

Jane, I was glad to see your post.  I haven't heard yet, so wanted to be sure you were ok.  (Jane fainted the other day, and we don't know why)   Did you get your oil changed?

Ria, I'm praying you get to feeling better soon.

Marilyn, you might be ashamed of your old car, but you know for sure that God isn't.  He knows exactly what you have, and exactly what you need.  :)  You are His, your footsteps are ordered by your Father, even down to the car you drive.  If you are still driving an old car with plastic on the windows,  it's for a purpose. God's purpose.  It IS God's car after all. :)  Right?  :)

Sonifo and Karmat....thanks for the responses about my getting a new camera.    I'm still trying to decide if I really "need" the Canon 300D.  Perhaps I could be happy with a less expensive brand.  I need to stay in prayer about this.  I know I'll get another one, but not sure I need to spend $1000.
I like the Sony too.  And the Minolta.  oh, my.    My Olympus goes into the box and into the mail today.  We'll see what they want to charge for repairs.

A partly sun, partly cloudy day here.  It's almost muggy. I was outdoors just before daylight, picking a few apples from my favorite tree, for Angel's breakfast, and it was so warm.

Have a blessed day everyone.  I would list names, but I'm afraid I'd miss someone.  You are all dear and family to me.  love, nita

Marilyn, I just reread my last message, and didn't want you to think I'm trying to say live with it and like it!  Not at all.  And we know that we have a good Father, and he knows our feelings and desires.  I'll pray with you that there will be the newer car for you.....a car that will drive proudly to church with you in it. :)
In His timing.  Who knows......maybe it isn't about you at all.  Maybe God wants someone to see you in that old car week after week, faithfully living the life of Christ in their presence.  God does things like that.  :)

Thank you Janet, I wish we lived close enough to make that deal.
we were supposed to have a women's Ministry meeting this morning at the church, I don'tknow what happened. I called the Pastor's mother who is in charge of it and she was taking her husband tot he doctor and gave me another number to call and no one called me back. I haven't been to  a WM meeting since I have  been here but now that I go to work at 11:30 on Mondays I can go for at least part of the time.
We are making quilts for the teen Challenge house that we are hoping to get very soon and getting Christmas stockings together forthe needy children of McKinleyville.

A few weeks ago we all donated New clothing for the women missionaries. that was fun, shopping for things they will need.

Hello all!!!!  Bernard and I have also been looking thinking about the digital rebel.  Bernard is shooting film right now because his digital doesn't allow for any manual control.  I told him we could get a 10D or Rebel, and he could have my 707.  He just looked at me funny. hahahahhahahaha.

Marilyn, I do pray that a car will be found for you.  You need reliable transportation, and though it runs good, a window being stuck down can't be a good situation, especially when it gets colder.  :-\

Sonifo -- We ate supper at a Perkins the other night.  The closest one to us is about 60 miles away in Dandridge, TN, but it was really good.  I bet their breakfast is awesome.  Probably worth getting up early for!!!

I hope everyone has a good day.  I've got some stuff to do, so I'd better get moving.

Hey there, all y'all!  <Jane still has a residual of that Oklahoma drawl>  :D
I'm back from taking my car for "an oil change" which turned into several more changes and cost me a bit of change in the bargain!  :-\  Oh, well, all stuff that needed to be done.

NITA!~ Didja have to tell everyone???   :-[  I'm okay, just a bit stiff and sore about the head, neck and shoulders.   :-\  The bridge of my nose is one big ol' scab where I scraped it on sompin' and I still have a bump on my forehead.   :-[  <y'think that's the smarts coming out?>
Yesterday morning, early, I went to the bathroom and, about 10 minutes later, found myself coming to on the floor.    ???  I guess I passed out cold and, in the process, rammed my face/head into something on the way to the floor!  hmmmm

Anyway, I'm home now.  Stopped by the store and picked up a cast iron skillet and I'm "seasoning" it now.  I think I will be really happy with it.  And it was time!  I've been using the cookware my mother had .... eons ago!  There's a time to be tight...stingy...frugal, and a time when that just doesn't make sense any more!

Well, I gotta go get some more stuff done around here.   See y'all later!

Welcome Rachelle.  Sorry, no flashing letters or lovely colors.  Love those exploding letters!  I live on Vancouver Island and lived in Victoria for many years.  Now a short distance away in a small town.  Glad you are coming back to BC...just don't hurry.  We are being flooded out on the mainland and experiencing heavy rainfall on the island.  Some parts also in trouble.  So wait for the sun to come in 2004.

Will pray for your need Ima. I  had to stop driving a number of years ago and have experienced ridicule from my church because I come on a bus.  In fact some seniors seem to delight in this.  They don't take into account that I stand outside in all kinds of weather and experience considerable inconvenience to attend the church of choice.  Thing is, not having a car has had the desired effect of improving my arthritis and I am walking miles, while many of them are using canes and handicap signs in their cars.  Goes to show, don't you know....

Well, that being said, on to cheery things.  Thanks for the devotional Pat.  How is Iain?  Do hope that his health is better.  We have seen how God works answering  prayer with the return of dear Papa John.  So will have to keep asking for Iain.

Hope you are having a good day Ria.  Went to your practice site...Hang in there.  I am going to be spending time doing watercolors for awhile as it perks up my day with all this rain.  Might as well use the water for something......So will not try anything new with the computer right now.  Also like to play games, sometimes on the internet, or with the new CD the kids gave me.

Have a wonderful day all.  There was a nice little poem at the end of my devotional this morning.  Just the thing for a grey and wet day:

Jesus shares your worries and cares
You'll never be left all alone,
For He stands beside you to comfort and guide you,
He always looks out for His own.

Personally, Nita, I read your letter to Marilyn as one from the heart and no one could have said anything more beautiful.  I believe a car is to get us from point A to B.  Who, but a snob really cares what Marilyn's car looks like.  I'd ride with Marilyn ANYTIME.  It's her wisdom I'd be seeking, not the purrr or roar of her car.

Rachelle,  we live just up the hill (1/4 mile) from where you feed the deer on the Peninsula.  The next trip up this way you can bring the young ones to feed our Llamas.

Janet, this might be a day for lost or misplaced car keys.  I couldn't find mine when we left this morning for Jerry's meeting.  I remembered that I left the car out of the garage yesterday when returning from church so I could get the mower out to mow.  I left the keys on the garbage can in the garage.  BUT I moved the car in the garage so I had keys then.  When I walked to the house, I went to the corner of the house to put my downspout down.  It came off the bottom.  I remember putting my keys down or somewhere to fix the downspout.  So I looked there.  No keys on the ground.  We went on to Jerry's meeting.

When we got home, I came in the house and looked everywhere that would possibly be where I could have left my keys.  I went back outside to the corner of the house....hoping they would appear since they weren't there earlier....no keys.  Then I stepped back and there they were on the brick just below the window!!!  Voila!!!

Mieka ~ Jerry and I had Mexican today.  We didn't see any Chinese eating Mexican either.  I guess it is true.  The cheese falls off the chopsticks!

I am doing laundry and getting caught up on here and possibly a lesson on PSP.  Jerry is taking a nap.  It is wonderful outside.  77°F and a lovely breeze.  One of those days....and not many more this year...that I should be out in my swing with a book!!!

Dear folks.  Vivian and I are off to Sandpoint to have lunch with a retired Sheriff friend from northern California.  Tom lost his wife six months ago and he's trying to recover from his loss.  I'm meeting with him for the express purpose of inviting him to attend our church next Sunday.  Tom is not a Christian, he's lonely, and he should know he has a friend in Jesus Christ.  Please pray for him.  Better yet, please pray that the Lord opens his ears, and that he listens, so he can hear the Lord's calling him.

Rachelle  It is good to meet you.

WE have three girls whom we homeschool as well.  There are a few of us here who do.

Well folks we have a wet, drizzly, dreary, day here in the north. We have the wood furnace going and boy does it crank out the heat.  The girls are sitting at the kitchen table schooling and I have a few minutes break from marking.

Is there anyone out there interested in buying my last puppie?  She is so precious.  the girls call her Custard.  Of the 6 that were born she has been my favourite since birth, and she is so easy to train.

We have made arrangements to get the wood in next weekend.  Then we will be set for the winter.  Last year Heather's husband got us dry cedar shakes and that made the best kindling wood.  Thank Jon again for me will you Hez?  Our neighbour went with John to get a trailler of wood ends from a local mill for kindling.  We can get more as we need it.  Now to get in the maple in that was cut down 2 winters ago.

At least we have a tara jet for that.

Etta Sue I howled when I read about your key problem.  It was too funny.  I thought I was the oly one who had that problem.  I brought my cell phone in the house 2 weeks ago and put it down and still cannot find it! ! ! I think it is called C-Nile virus  Whatcha think?

Jane take care of yourself.  This is nothing to play around with.

Well more work to mark

Love all JudyB

Thanks again for all the camera info links.  Now I'm even more confused, and it doesn't take much!!! :P

Dear Jane.....my bestest and sister.....you know exactly why I mentioned it, and brother Lee caught it.  I wanted someone else to urge you to see your doctor.  That's why I "told on you".   Please do.  I don't want anything to happen to you.

Lots of home schoooling mom's (and dad(s)) on here now.  That's so neat.  I homeschooled my youngest daughter from 8th grade on.  They were moving 8th grade to the highschool, and I didn't feel she needed that.  We went through Christian Liberty Academy.  She's 31 now, so that was a few years ago.

I have chicken breast marinating, so better go stir it, toss it or turn it over. :)   God bless.....

It's so good to see everyone today! Heather, I've been worrying about you and wondering where you were.

Jane, when I agreed to use the cane last year, my falls stopped. Prior to that I had fallen on an average of about every two weeks. Painful - I still have the scar where my eyeglasses were embedded in my nose. So, do what they say - and we'll agree to pray together about this.

Hi to everyone else, and welcome to our new folk. This is such a welcoming site.

Y'all have a good evening.

My husband and I were asked by our Pastors to attend a meeting that they will be speaking at.
My husband is on a ministry team in Spokane healing rooms.
Its a place where many churches have come together to pray for those in need.
Our Pastor is the Assistant Director there-anyway there speaking there tonight-so were off soon to go to that.
Today has been very busy with Homeschooling..Housework ..
Thank You to all the others that have welcomed me-and nice to meet some more Homeschool Parents.

Rachelle - our youngest (now 38!) was at one time in the Jr. Hi locally.  He hated it. He was failing.  He was practically being forced to take drugs.  We took him out of it and put him on the ACE program.  He loved it instantly!  He finished up doing extremely well, then went into the Air Force.  Praise God for that ACE program!

I have to be careful, if I stand up too quickly, or over-exert, I get dizzy.  A while back, Darrel and I were doing some work in the garage, and I stood up, and next thing I knew, he was holding me up and saying "If you are going to faint, you're supposed to sit down!"  I told him I would have, if I'd known...... :-\  But since then, I do recognize the symptoms and get to a chair quickly!

Yes, we are family, and we really do care about each other!  Now, I will be so relieved when Pat gets home and tells us she is okay!  I grabbed about a 45 minute nap this afternoon, didn't want to sleep longer as I want to sleep tonight.

Wow!  We are on page six, and I see there are eight of us online at the same time!  Won't Pat be proud of us? ;D ;D

(We won't tell her we are trying to make up for all the misbehaving we did while she was away hiking on Saturday! ;) :-[ ;)

Janet...........

Your:

"Jane, I am so relieved that you are seeing a doctor about the fainting spell.  It's probably nothing, but it will be a relief to hear that from a doctor!"

Was good advice.  Have you considered taking it yourself? Dizzyness can be caused by multiple reasons, and all require at least ONE visit to a physician (Preferably a neurologist).

LEE, I'm much better at giving advice than taking it! ;)  Mine was (is) caused by my blood pressure medication.  I just forget sometimes that I can't jump up quickly like I am used to doing!  If I do, the world doesn't behave itself, and starts spinning faster! :-\ And then the lights all go out....... :o

I'm here.  What lovely posts to read!

I actually got home a couple of hours ago and had an email saying that the SeniorNet Photos discussion was over the 1,000 post mark and since I open and close them, I had to hurry there and do that and then I went to bed with some strong pain meds.  I'll be ok tomorrow.  The tooth was the best extraction yet and I don't think that there are any others now to be pulled.  Just surveyed crowns and the tooth preparation for them and a bridge in the lower right and then the partial plate for the top!  Woohoooo then I'll be finished!  Probably next June!

I'm glad you're home safe and sound, Pat, and that it's the last extraction.  It does seem to be taking a long time to get it all done, but then again this way you don't need to drive that distance so often.   ;)

Nita, I made the mistake of showing Gene pictures in a magazine of a scene taken with the Olympus C750UZ with normal distance and then with the 10X zoom.  I only showed it to him as a "WOW! Look at this!", not with any kind of ulterior motive.

But when we took my lovely little Pentax to see what could be done about the spot on the lens, HE decided we needed to trade it in on the Olympus.  Sure blew a hole in our budget, but being such a submissive wife ( ;D ) .....  (Do I know when to take him shopping with me, or what?  ;D ;D ;D ;D)

Hi Pat.....Glad you are home safe and sound.

It will take a while to get over that extraction.

My daughter-in-law Julie  is having her baby tomorrow.   This will be her 5th baby.  She is over due so will have to be induced.  I have never been induced but I hear its harder to have.

Well I'm tired, so going to bed early myself.

God bless

Chris and Margit.  I turned the phone off as we have no service in the area where we live, and the battery gets used up quickly.  :'(

Meika you are tooooo funny. ;)

The homeschooling cirriculum is a mish mosh.  I use the Abeka for the two younger girls and melaura uses a piece here and a piece there.  I really like Abeka though.

Jeanne Lee, congrats on the new camera.  I have whispered into my husbands ear that I want a digital for Christmas..... ??? He says we cannot afford it this rear. ??? :'( (I do agree)

Marilyn I got your email.  I am praying.  Too bad you don't live here Our pastor's hobby is to keep everyone up and running with road worthy auto's! ! !

Pat I am glad that you are finished with the extractions.  I can not imagine dad having all his teeth out on the same day.  Ouch.  On the flip side of that when the pain was done it was done.

Ruth which son is Julie married to? I will be praying for her, It is harder to be induced.

Janet thanks for the warning.  Didn't know BP meds did that.

Jane take care of yourself.

Love to all JudyB

Hello all!!

Glad to see everyone is doing well tonight.  Ya'll are a fun  bunch, do you know that?

As for being induced --  my labor with Travis started "naturally" but then stopped.  :-\  Normally, they would have sent me home but my water had already broken, and I was at a higher risk for infection, so, they asked if I wanted pitocin to "restart" and regulate the labor.  It restarted it alright.  :-[  I will definitely be praying for her tomorrow.

I'm going to go cruise the other forums.
