Morning Devotional...He entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received Him into her house. Luke 10:38
Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus. [/i]
John 11:5
This was a home where Jesus often found solace. He was welcomed and loved by the family. They ministered to Him and He in return ministered to them.
They were blessed by His presence, but in turn, they refreshed Him.
When He left, the sweet fragrance of His presence lingered. In every home where He is welcomed and loved, His fragrance and joy will fill each room and heart. No one can be untouched by the warmth of His presence.
Is He welcome in your heart and home?

Happy the home when God is there
And love fills everyone one,
When with united work and prayer
The master's will is done.
Happy the home where God's strong love
Is starting to appear.
Where all the children hear His fame
And parents hold Him dear.
Happy the home where prayer is heard
And paise is everywhere,
Where parents love the sacred Word
And its true wisdom share.
Lord, let us in our homes agree
This blessed peace to gain;
Unite our hearts in love to Thee,
And love to all will reign.

Sarah. Hello little one. Nice to see you poppiong in and out dear.
God bless everyone.
Jenny.
Hi Jenny...
Yes, it's very dark here right now and raining. I must cut my lawn one more time before winter but the weather is just so wet. I hope it dries up long enough for me to do that.

TOWN528
We are so glad to have you join us here[/b]
Pat thank you for the timely message of today's deovtional. Oh that my home would be pleasing to our Lord. When I first got saved one of the thought that was most on my mind was this. How would Jesus find me and my house if He were to knock on my door? Would He feel welcome in my home? Would I be embarrassed for Him to see the way I was living in my home.? Something to think about. Thanks again Pat for the reminders.
I pray that you all will have a blessed day today. I am staying at home today, except for going out to Physical therapy late this afternoon. I have a load of laundry to do. I am washing all the clothes I was wearing at my last visit to Gloria. If you have checked out the link you will know why that is necessary.
Pat I am sending you a PM with a question.
TTYL
Today is a special day in our house. Chandraya has turned 6 years old. Woohooo!!! She is loving it.
It is cold and rainy here. Almost pretty enough to go and take pictures if the rain stops, but it will probably turn to snow. wohooo... that means better pictures. hehehe
WELCOME TOWN528!
Hi everyone. We have another overcast and damp day here but it may clear up later this afternoon.
I picked up a couple of men to take to the coffee at the senior center this morning as the man who normally brings them was leaving on a cruise later this morning and was not attending. We had a small group this morning, only 11 in attendance. Pat and I just came back from going to JoAnn's Fabric to get a bulb for my Ott Lite. They were having a 50% off sale so this saved about $15 on the cost of this bulb. We then went to the library to pick up a CD I had requested. I think that is all the running around for today. My hips are both hurting a lot today so after I have lunch am going to lay down and rest. I think the impact of yesterday is catching up with me today. Think I need some sunshine.
I appreciate your comments and concerns but please don't be worrying about me. I have good medical attention and am very positive that all will be well. I know that lots of folks are keeping me in their prayers.
Sonja, I know you all will have a great time on Chandraya's birthday today. Do you have a big party planned?
Marilyn, I am certainly sorry to hear of the new problems for Gloria. I am afraid that being in a hospital isn't a very safe place to be anymore. The cleanliness of hopsitals certainly seems to continue to decline. It is no wonder that staph infections are running rampant.
Town528 welcome to CP.
Pat, hope you will be able to get your yard mowed. Our grass has basically stopped growing the last couple of weeks. The lawn people will only be coming once a month for the next 3 or 4 months to be sure the yard is picked up. Thanks for the devotional this morning.
Jenny, my heart doctor told me he wanted to keep me alive until I was 80 and that was the basis of his recommendation for seeking the heart transplant (which is probably off the table now). Glad your dad is still holding on. I can assure you I plan to keep a very positive attitude as I know this can be healed. Why should I worry as I know where I am headed once this life is over and it will be a place without pain or sickness.
Sarah, I guess your basketball season will be starting soon. I know the schools around here have started practice.
Ruthie, I read something last evening, when I was researching prostate cancer, about hip and lower back pain as being indicators that a person should see a doctor. I have been having such discomfort the last few weeks and thought it was probably from stopping the aspirin I had taken for years. However, I have restarted the aspirin and am having quite a bit of discomfort in my hips. Hopefully it is just a coincidence.
Guess it is time to have a bite to eat and then I feel a nap coming on. Hope everyone has a good day.
Oh Larry I just will not accept that the leg and hip pain is anything to do with your prostate problem. Hold fast Larry God is in the business of answering the prayers of the saints.
Larry, just add my name to the list of those who will pray for you and that God's perfect will be lovingly poured over and into you at this time. You are His own. We know that. Your love and service to Him is so evident.
Pat, the devotional today was perfect. My grandson, going through a hard time and staying here now, is in my own "upstairs room". This room has been my special place through the years and lots of tears and prayers have gone up to Father in this room. I was just praying this morning that somehow that fragrance would remain in that room and effect Kyle. He isn't a Christian (he's 18) but I'm praying that his intense, questioning heart will be softened to let the Lord speak to him. And that I'll know when it's time. I'm asking the Lord that my home be so full of HIM that Kyle can't help but be touched by His Presence.
And that song: Oh, The Glory Of Your Presence!! There is no greater joy and fulfillment than being in His Presence. Earth has nothing to compare. There are no valid discriptions......though our overflowing hearts try in song and testimony. :) Oh, The Glory. Oh, the Glory. ;D
It seems cold here again this morning. The season has definately changed. I've had my car out all summer so I could close the garage and keep the coons out. :) I had to put it back in last night. Cat food goes into closed buckets......this time snapped good and tight!
Pat, I did get my final mowing done before this last rain. If it needs it again, I'll wait for some sunny weather and drying time. And energy. haha
Have a blessed day everyone. Jesus is coming soon!
Good Morning EVERYONE!!!  :D  It's cold here again this morning so I had to break down and turn on the heat.  I will build a fire in the stove later, but I needed to get some of the ice thawed first.  lol  :D
LARRY Â I so admire your attitude. Â I know this sort of news is never pleasant to hear but, once the initial impact is over, the only attitude that is pleasing to the Lord is that of total surrender to His will. Â God bless you as you continue in His presence and keep looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith!
Marilyn, I am most certainly continuing to pray for Gloria ... God is still in control, y'know. Â :)
Hi, Jenny! Â ;)
Ooops .... NITA, you snuckted in while I was gabbing <again!> Hi! :D

Larry ~ My heart is saddened about your news. But my heart is gladdened because of your attitude. When I grow up I want to be just like you!  ;) (I never could sing and I only know how to play chopsticks on the piano!)HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHANDRAYA!!!
Your are getting to be a big girl. Gosh, six years old!!! That is great!!!
Jerry and I did get the leaves mulched. It was great having two mowers going again. Then Jerry swept up what leaves were left with the grass catcher and we made a couple of trips back to the woods to dump the leaves. Course, we mowed the lane going back and forth. Jerry was still out cleaning up the mowers when Kaye Don came over. He wanted to know who mowed the lane. Jerry told him that Jerry and I did. I guess Kaye Don was going to give him a one-two if Jerry did it all himself. But I wouldn't let Jerry go to the woods by himself. In my heart I feel he would be okay but one never knows.
Today started out sunny, then cloudy. Just now the bright sunshine came again. Makes the vibrant colors on the leaves really shine!!!!

Hi, no time to read or talk. We're off to see that doctor down south again today. I'll log back in tomorrow night or Sunday.
Y'all take care of yourselves.
Ruth Ann
Larry, you're probably more than aware of it, but in Sr. Net there's a folder called Health Matters. They've got some really good discussions in there about PC. In fact, Jere, the host of the Hawaii discussion in Geographical Discussions is one of the leaders there. I sure picked up a number of interesting and important facts from those people.
Al, I had forgotten those discussions on SN but will check them out. I have just started doing some research on this whole area.
I did contact my cardiologist's office today and was called back a little bit ago saying the doctor has signed off on the risk involved in having an antisetic. Therefore, the option of having the radioactive seeds implanted is now a viable alternative.
Again, I thank you all for your words of encouragement. It is certainly comforting to know that I will have you all praying over the next weeks and months.
Larry...it's me. I am here again. Hello! God bless you and keep you bouyant on the waters.
Al.......I am so glad I am a slave who pleases God (Romans 6:18) because I am set free from sin.
Pastor Al is doing a great forum on Romans folks...pop in and join us.
Raining and windy here still. Weather reports for a continuance of these conditions over the next few days. Praise God for a nice warm fire though I'd love to join you Jane by your stove. Hot tea and crumpets would do me fine.
Pat. I have swept up the leaves in our entry...again. ;)
Nipping off now to make a nice cuppa....everybody welecome. I have plenty of milk and sugar etc., If you leave it 'til tomorrow I am making a nice cake then.
Goodnight, God Bless.
Jenny.
Hi everyone:
Larry - I will be praying for you. I do so admire your attitude.
Jenny: Could you save me a piece of that cake....and may I have it on the 24th?...LOL
Not much time to post again., but I do want to make time to check out the prayer and praise forum....thats most important.
Kind of a damp day here in Guelph. We haven't had a beam of sunshine in several days, however,...not a snowflake either, and thats good! Hope the snow holds off for a long time!! My friend in Western Canada called me last night,....her bible study was cancelled due to a snow storm.....UGH!!
I'm sitting here listening to "Oh, the glory of His presense!" How true. Oh, what glory.
Larry, what a wonderful attitude. I'm still praying for you my dear, dear brother.Â
Marilyn, I got your PM about PSP and I'll wait till you reply.
I got warm fuzzies when I read your message, Nita. Thanks so much my sister.
Oops, someone at the door. I'll be back.
Janet, how was the dinner meeting last night? And did Abby look after Beth alright? Was it a dressy-uppy meeting?
My concert is tomorrow night! Remember the one I went to last Saturday night? ::) :-[ :-\ Well, I'll try for tomorrow night!
Jane, you say it's cold there this morning. This week has been like that here. At the beginning of the week we were promised some sunny days but it forgot to come! :'(
We have had a pretty quiet day here. We did go out this morning to the mall where Cornelia bought a present for a shower and I bought two shirts and a tie.
Martha brought home some Chinese food for our supper and it was good.
Larry I have been thinking about you as I know we all have. Sometimes when things look bad they turn out better than we had thought they would. I pray God will be with you and bless you.
Phil 4:4-7
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
(NIV)
Tonight we are visiting a congregation where we used to worship. They are having a special home coming several nights this week.

Oh Jesus please let people see you in My home...Live in me Lord, Live in me Lord. Amen.
A long time ago someone said, "If someone comes into your their house, would they know that you are a Christian?" At that time I would have answered in the affirmative as we had a picture depicting Rev 3:20 on our wall. We have since donated it to the church.
Recently I told Donna (my BW) that we need another picture to let people know we are Christian. She reminded me of the smaller pictures and figurines that speak to our beliefs. We must take it a step farther, too.
Jenny, thank you so much for reminding me that not only should I have physical things to remind others of my belief, but my thoughts, actions and words must say the same thing.
OH, and thank you for the BD greeting.
I really wish I could be a good enough Christian that I wouldn't have to wear T-shirts or have pictures or carry a Bible for someone to know. I really wish that Christ just SHINES out of me, but I'm not capable, it seems. It is encouraging to know, though, that He can shine no matter how ugly I am, if I just let Him.
Hope all of you had a great day! Karma is off retreating :)
Fast Eddie, what is BW? Â I assume the W is for wife, have no idea about the B.
Larry, dear brother, my thoughts and prayers are going with you. Â I admire you so much, and your attitude is great. Â Like you, I have no fear of death, but I'm in no hurry for it, either.
Papa John, hello to you today.
Hi, Pat! Â No, the dinner wasn't dressy at all. Â Just a guy giving information about a group that manages funds. Â Dinner wasn't good, either. Â Supposed to be a ribeye steak, was only about 1/4 in. thick, dry and overcooked. Â But, hey! Â It didn't cost us anything, either. Â We think so much of Larry, our financial advisor, that's the reason we went.
Today, Abby and I loaded up all the "pretty stuff" and went to Hugoton. Â We got the food all ready, then got dressed up, and at 3:30 her little friends came for the Princess Party. Â They all looked so adorable! Â Chandraya, I wish you caould have been there, you would have loved it!
We made fancy little sandwiches, using cookie cutters to cut out shapes of bread, put one piece of white and one whole wheat on each; made jello wigglers in the same shapes, made chocolate-dipped strawberries, and also had some fancy little petit fours. Â We had sparkling grape juice in hand painted goblets with little paper umbrellas, and tea in pretty glass cups. Â There were sugar cubes to sweeten the tea. Â I went out in Diane's yard and cut some flowers for the center of the table, and we used pretty cut-glass fan-shaped plates, a white tablecloth, embroidered place mats and napkins, with pretty napkin rings.
After they ate, I cleared the table and we did crafts. Â They each got an acrylic photo frame, with 3 inserts of paper that they colored (various scenes). Â Next, we made "Princess Wands." Â I cut some dowels yesterday and let Abby paint them to match the tiaras we got for each girl. Â We strung beads on wire, used tulle circles below the beads, then shaped the beaded wire into a heart. Â Turned out really cute.
Then--------we made Christmas ornaments. Â Very busy couple of hours, and the little girs had so much fun, and weren't ready to go home when their moms came for them. Â Abby didn't want them to leave, either. Â Grams? Â Yep, I was ready. Â I'm bushed. Â But happy I did that for them, they all loved it. Â One of the mothers told me she hoped to remember all this and be as good a grandma as me some day. Â ;)
Sorry that got a bit long. Â I took lots of pictures, hope they are good.
Hello, Jenny, Marilyn, Jane, NIta, Ruth Ann,Judy Mc., Al, Etta Sue, and anyone else whose name I'm not thinking of just now, but I did read all the posts. Â I think it's going to be an early to bed for me and Abby tonight! Â She came back home with me because her parents are going to the K-State game tomorrow.
Hey there, Nards!
See Y'all tomorrow!
What a wonderful time you had, Janet! Never mind Chandraya, I'd like to have been there as well! LOL

Usually means "Beautiful", but Eddie may have something else in mind... I dunno!
That's about the way I had it figgered, NARDS!  :D
JANET that Princess Party sounds like such a REGAL occasion ... wish I coulda been there, too. :-\
I have had a fire going in the stove all day, today, and oooohhhh did it feel good! This afternoon a friend came by who has just returned from two weeks in Hawaii. She said it was "so HOT" there -- like 101o   What a contrast!! :o She brought me a tee shirt from Waikiki Beach ... Neat!!
Janet What a fun Gramma you are. Gilbert was by earlier for a short visit. We talked about maybe the kids getting to spend some time here while I am off work. Maybe I can help out with them part of the time while Gilbert is working and Sarah at scholl or working. Sometimes he has to leave work early to pick up the kids.
Pat my problem is solved. I got it all to work just fine, now on with my lessons.
Hi Nards that's what I thought BW was. It took me awhile to learn what different abbreviations are like DH, SIL, DIL etc. A LOOOOOOOG time.
TTYL
I got a topic for tomorrow.
Who do you think will win the world series? Cardinals or the Red Sox? We are all rooting for the Cardinals...Mike would have played for them if he hadn't hurt his chest. He knows it was God's calling to have him stay and help his parents. He was a pitcher.
Anyway...here is the New Every Morning (http://christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=3552.new#new)
