JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

What do you do with guilt?

Morning Devotional...

Psalm 6:8-10.  Depart from me, all you workers of iniqity; For the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping.  The Lord has heard my supplication; the Lord will receive my prayer.  Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly troubled; let them turn back and be ashamed suddenly.

David went through a time of unbearable anxiety, guilt, and sorrow.  His inward distress was so great that it brought on physical symptoms such as actual pain in his bones, an inordinate tiredness, and aging in his whole being.  Simply put, he was an emotional casualty, a psychiatric case.

The one thing he had going for him, though, was that he knew where to go with his troubles - and he went!  First of all, he realized that he himself was to blame because of real sin.  He knew His Lord was - and ought to be - angry with him.  So he went to the Lord, confessed, and asked for mercy.

He GOT it!  "The Lord has heard the voice of my weeping!"  He was able to turn to his accusers and "tell them where to get off!"  They should be ashamed of themselves - and they WOULD BE!

When you're in deep distress, when you know you're guilty before the Lord, when you've committed sins you're ashamed of, where do you go?  What do you do?  Do you attempt to hide it from those closest to you?  Do you even lie about it?  Oh dear brother and sister - CONFESS it - to the Lord, first of all!  "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)

All my confusion He understood
All I had to offer Him was brokenness and strife

hey everyone,
I'm still around been busy talking to some of my classmates and what not this week.... found out that one of my classmates leukemia is back and there is nothing more she can do about it she has between 2 weeks and 2 months to live... however she is being quite opptimistic about it...

Sarah I am sorry this is happening to a friend of yours.  I'm grateful for her optimitic attitude, but it must be difficult for you and others who know her.  I am praying for God's comfort during this time.
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

It has been a dull dreary weekend here in the north.  The temp is way down and yesterday we were getting a combination of rain and snow.  It didn't stay white, but it did stay cold.  You don't have to shovel rain so that is a plus.  The natives are saying it will be a long hard winter.  YUCK.

John is away today, he will be home this afternoon, it is such a treat to have him home.

Yesterday our pastor was preaching on the "blood"  What an awesome message.  We dont hear enough about His Blood, and the great hymns of the faith he had us sing were awesome.

Well I must go and get my routines done.

God Bless y'all

Janet

MONDAY aginn!  :)  I had a neighbor who used to say "If you don't get anything done on Monday, you won't get anything done alll week!"  Sometimes I find that to be true.

Oh, Sarah, I'm so sorry about your young friend.  But we do serve a God of miracles, and as long as there is life, there is hope.  I know you will be a help and a comfort to her, in spite of your very busy schedule. (((hugs)))

Our pastor preached on the Favor of God yesterday,  They are SO happy to be home, after being stranded in Houston for five extra days!  They said the experience made them realize afresh how much they love all of us.  :)

My house seems pretty quiet, now that Abby has gone home again.  She wasn't ready to go, which I guess means she enjoyed our visit.  I know I did!  ;)

Judy, we haven't gotten really cold weather as yet, but did get a killing frost a few days ago.  Now I am hoping for Indian Summer!

Hello to all who pop in today!

Hawaii?  Summer?  Winter?  I am told there is only 10°F difference in sumer and winter temperatures.  Both of which would be warmer than Indiana today!

I discovered a leak in my bathroom under the tank.  My brother came over awhile ago and said he could tighten it with his fingers.  So he used a wrench and tightened it and all should be okay now.  I have a pan under it in case it isn't.  And I have on the heating unit in the ceiling light to dry out the carpet.  Kaye Don is leaving for Florida next Monday so I am glad I discovered this today!

And I woke to 65°F in the house this morning.  Usually 69°F.  I am chilly but not cold.  The fireplace is warming this up.  I turned it off before going to bed.  I really don't think the furnace man will be here tonight...I don't know where he gets parts.  Hopefully tomorrow, I will have a furnace again.

Staying in and home today.  In fact, all week.  Nothing on my agenda until Saturday when Kitty wants me to ride with her to Bedford, Indiana, unless Kitty and her husband goes to St. Louis.

It is only 35°F here right now.  Hawaiian would be freezing in their grass skirts and coconut bras!!

Marilyn, it looks like a lot of work went into that beautiful quilt you made.  I would never have thought of using a mattress cover for the batting.  I will be passing this idea on to several that I know that make quilts.

Now back to work.  Today is a busy day!

Carol

Al:  Yes, I look forward to confession of sins and forgiveness  - the forgiveness most of all.

Etta Sue:  We have to have 10 people from the church for this project so having a meeting this week - I had my tetnus and pnuemonia shot today while at the yearly physical.  Will see - do hope I have enough energy for this if everyone decides to go.

Larry:  You do have some interesting places to visit in very short drives.  A lot of history in your area.  It is nice that someone is coming to help with your computer.  Today, nothing was happening this morning and Don went to Adaware & it seemed to fix the problem.  Our daughter had to have a tech over because her computer had a wicked virus - it cost about $200 - all her work in on there & backed up but scarey.  How is the family?

JudyB:  You certainly have a lot more rain that our area.  I haven't heard of a tougher winter but the leaves here were falling much earlier than ususal.

Sue:  Our church group makes tons of quilts  and they do cut clean mattress pads down to size for the filling. They take the cords out of electric blankets and cut them to size as well.  Recyle is the name of the game.

Had my annual physical today and and EKG - then had a tetnus shot in one arm and a pnuemonia shot in another.

Don is finishing the painting in the kitchen - what a mess from taking the blue tape off as it is grabbing the ceiling paint when we strip it - we were told it would be fine & would keep the wall paint from touching the ceiling - not so.

Gratitude is an Attitude!!!

Well, a few moments ago I couldn't get in to CP, but now I can.  I tried several times, and all it gave me was an error message.  Then I called Marilyn on the landline, and she said she could get in.  So I tried it again - and it worked!  Oh well.

Janet

I'm going to lock up early tonight, as I feel the need to get to bed.  I see that Larry is on just now, so will wait a few minutes in case he is posting.  Wouldn't want to put a knot on his head!  ;)

Does anyone know when Pat is to be back?  It's so nice she could get away and go to something so enjoyable for her.

Hi everyone.  Al, I just saw your e-mail about CP not loading and checked and it came right up so read the messages and see your message above.  Thanks for the devotional today.

I had a busy day.  My friend did come over and work on my computer.  We were trying to recover all the space on a hard drive I wanted to use for backup.  We thought we had done it and I started a backup but it didn't finish and said I didn't have enough room.  So I have been copying off my music on DVDs for backup and then will remove those files from my "C" drive and just listen to them from my external drive.  I should then have enough room on the backup disk to clone the "c" drive.

This afternoon I had an appointment with my cardiologist.  It takes me a good hour to get to his office and then had to wait quite awhile.  It was after 4 pm when I got home so am a bit tired tonight.  Two weeks ago he had given me a new medicine that has just been put on the market.  He wants me to take it for one more month and then revert back to what I was taking and see if I can tell any difference.  He said there was little known about the new medicine and he was hesistant to keep me on it with the lack of usage data.  I had another EKG done and the pattern hadn't changed.

Etta Sue, you might suggest that your friend try out a program call Network Magic to be able to network her computers.  She can find it searching on Google.  I was having a lot of trouble getting my two computers and Pat's computer networked and it set it up in less than 20 minutes.  She can try it for 30 days and then some of the features are turned off until you buy a license.  I liked it so much I didn't wait and purchased it within a day or two of using it as it really worked well for me.  If she has not been able to Does your friend have a network card in her desktop computer or an ethernet card that could be hardwired to the router?  Either of these things should give her access to the DSL from her desktop.  It is hard to diagnose without seeing what she has.  It might also be a software issue.

Well, time to say goodnight.

Thanks Janet, I was preparing this posting.

Pat

Hi Everyone...

I had a marvelous weekend and learned a lot from two professionals.  I'm so happy that I was able to attend.

I'm tired today.  Been napping a bit.

EDIT:  I see that my temperature is only 2 C. so I better get my lawn mowed one more time before lots of snow flies.

It was so nice to read all of your posts from the weekend.
