Morning Devotional...Ye said also, Behold, what a weariness is it!Malachi 1:13
Visiting a mountain village in Honduras, we had meetings all day until just after sunset.
The people were poor, and had neither electricity nor running water. Someone held a kerosene lantern up so I could preach the last message.
Although they had been there all day, the people listened with great attention. Afterwards I noticed a small group of folks leaving up a mountain path. The others explained that these had walked three hours from another village just to be in the meetings, and now they were walking three hours back at night on a mountain trail.
Lord, forgive us for saying we're too tired to go to gather with God's people!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR KATHY :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*
TILL THE FOLLOWING TIME I HOPE ON MY OWN COMPUTER
I LOVE YOU ALL
RIA :-* :-* :-*
It's nice that Marcel can let you use his computer, but I understand about working on a computer that is not set up just for my own needs. I must do that a lot at my work, and I also have eye problems. It is much more difficult.
I truly hope your computer will be working well for you when you get it back, Ria.
I will be with my children in Atlanta this weekend and also a couple of days next week. I will try to check in from there. She has 2 computers, but primarily keeps the one hooked up that is for her work. So, if I'm missing, don't worry about me.
Y'all have a very good day today.
Ruth Ann
Good morning to all and a big "Thank You" for the birthday greetings.
I have just caught up in NEM and listened to the "Just as I am" medley. It sounds a lot like John Tesh's playing...is it? I loved it!!
Friends took me out to supper last night for my birthday and I really tried to stay on my diet. It was a barbeque buffet and temptation was all around. The scales will tell next week.
Ria, I will be glad when your computer gets back. You post such nice things.
A good day to all. Let us be "Sunbeams for Jesus" (anybody remember that song?)
Good morning, everyone.
I'm still browsing around the boards...so much to see here. I'm delighted.
So many talented people here. I'm sure I'll learn a lot. Thanks all.
Good Morning Everyone!
The sun is trying to shine here in Guelph! How nice! I have some yard cleaning up work to do as they pick this up next week at the curbside so I better get going.
It's so good to welcome our new friends yesterday. I hope that they find their way to New Every Morning here and get to know all of us.
Happy to see you posting here and there, Gwen!
Good Morning, Nice Devotional, Pat ;)
Reminded me of an email I received!
I dreamt that I went to Heaven and an angel was showing me around. We walked
side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with angels.
My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said, "This is the
Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to God said in prayer are received."
I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many angels
sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets and scraps from
people all over the world.
Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second section.
The angel then said to me, "This is the Packaging and Delivery Section.
Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for are processed and
delivered to the living persons who asked for them."
I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many angels working hard
at that station, since so many blessings had been requested and were being
packaged for delivery to Earth.
Finally at the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at the door of a
very small station. To my great surprise, only one angel was seated there,
idly doing nothing. "This is the Acknowledgment Section," my angel friend
quietly admitted to me. He seemed embarrassed. "How is it that? There's no
work going on here?" I asked.
"So sad," the angel sighed. "After people receive the blessings that they
asked for, very few send back acknowledgments.
"How does one acknowledge God's blessings?" I asked.
"Simple," the angel answered. "Just say, "Thank you, Lord."
"What blessings should they acknowledge?" I asked.
"If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead
and a place to sleep ... you are richer than 75% of this world. "If you have
money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish, you are among
the top 8% of the world's wealthy.
"And if you get this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% in the
world who has that opportunity."
Also ......
"If you woke up this morning with more health than illness ...... you are
more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day.
"If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of
imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation ... you are
ahead of 700 million people in the world.
"If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest,
torture or death .. you are envied by, and more blessed than, three billion
people in the world.
"If your parents are still alive and still married .. you are very rare.
If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm, you are unique
to all those in doubt and despair."
OK, what now? How can I start?
If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in that
someone was thinking of you as very special and you are more blessed than
over two billion people in the world who cannot read at all.
Have a good day, count your blessings, and if you want, pass this along to
remind everyone else how blessed we all are.
Attn.: Acknowledge Dept.: Thank You Lord!
"Thank you Lord, for giving me the ability to share this message and for
giving me so many wonderful people to share it with."
Thinking of everyone. I may be out-of-touch for several days - perhaps have time to come in and check messages. Have a safe weekend.
Carol
Since some of our new folks yesterday came late, I'm going to post some welcomes to them in today's topic so that they'll be sure to see them.

I thought it was appropriate to post a snowflake welcome because it is snowing here!!! The snowflakes are huge and beautiful. :)
Chandraya was amazed to see them. I can't wait for Lila mae to get up so she can see them too. Last year, Lila Mae didn't care for the snow all that much. This year could be different.

Good Morning> Pat thank you for the devotional today. On Wednesday night our teacher told how 20 years ago she would walk for miles just to go to church. My friend Willa verified that Linda walked those miles every week with her 3 little children. We are so blessed in this country to just be able to drive to church. When I first got saved I often walked the 2 1/2 miles to church when someone forgot to pick me up. I would see people driving to chuch go right by me.
Thank you Suzanne for posting that story, we need those reminders to be thankful for the blessings that we have received.
Today I am going to Physical Therapy at 10 AM. Then I plan to stop by a freind from church and ask her to go for a walk with me. She had the Gastric ByPass surgery 1 1/2 weeks ago.
Gloria is suppposed to be released from the hospital today.

Wow, Soni, snow already, how nice! It is hot and humid here in Arkansas  :( So you can send some of that good looking snow my way!

Suzanne ~ No, I can't take credit for the animations I use. I got them from the web somewhere. Just thought they would be nice to use on CP.
Sonja ~ Please....keep that snow there. I love a new fallen snow but a few hours later, it is yucky. And a few days later, it is really yucky and a few weeks later, it is really, really yucky and a few months later, it is tiresome!!!!!! THINK GREEN!!!!
And to think it is snowing in Wyoming and here it is 72 degrees F! Ivalou was just here and she said it is so humid outside. The rain woke me this morning but while I was reading my Bible, the sun was shining. I hear Kaye Don's mower running. He is putting fertilizer on their yards.Â

Have an awesome day, and WELCOME to all the new members. We are so glad to have you here. Pull up a chair and let us get to know you!!

SNOW already, Soni?  My  goodness!  We haven't even had a killing frost yet.........quite unusual for our area.  And it was 83* here yesterday!  Wow.
Big, heartfelt welcomes to the several new members!! Â Way to go!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEAR KATHY!! Â AND MANY MORE!
I am feeling really yucky, and it's quiet here, because I have lost my voice. Â I finally gave up and called for a doctor's appointment, had a terrible time making them hear and understand me. Â The only thing that seems to ease the pain in my throat is drinking hot stuff----and keeping quiet! Â :-X Â I don't know what's going on; I have been on a powerful antibiotic for a week already. Â So at 2:30 I will see what the doc has to say.
My sister from near Emporia is coming today, so I'd like to be able to visit with her, without pain! :-\ Â I had to cancel my class today, because no way can I talk enough to teach.
Anyway, I'm wishing all of you a wonderful day. Â May God's richest blessings (the blessings you need at this time) be yours. Â Love to you all.
Janet

Thanks, Soni---I needed that! :-*
Well, hi everyone - ... I have had some major computer problems (well, major to ME, anyway).,. I was able to find a young fellow in our area who advertised his services in a local grocery store. He came here last night, and worked for over an hour, cleaning everything up on this computer. I now have lots of memory (for now ;) ).....
Its good to be back... I'm not able to stay on for long, as we are going out for supper, then hoping to see the movie "RAY". Are any of you planning to see it? I'm wondering how its "rated".....as long as its not "R" rated...I'd never see an R rated movie.
I still haven't bought my Halloween candy yet. We only get around 35-40 kids usually. At one time, in our previous home, it wasn't unusual to have over 100 kids at the door. Halloween decorating is big in the States isn't it,...at least in Michigan where my son lives. Personally, I dislike Halloween decorating!! All we have here, is a pumpkin... and its not even a real one. Its one I have on the front porch with a battery in it, that lights up, and yells:" Happy Halloween".
Thats the extent of our decorating for Halloween! :D
I want to thank all of you who have missed me this past week....I have missed you too!

Thank you all for the wonderful welcome.  I am not able to be here during weekmornings because of work, but I do visit in the evening.  You folks have such a wonderful way of inserting welcome greetings and birthday greetings.  Where do you get the nice fonts and the great colors.  I am afraid to say that my posts will not be as colorful and spectacular as of you. I love fellowship and I try to add my advice after praying on what I will say.  I never respond to a thread without asking God for divine guidance and asking him to put the right words in my heart and in my mind.  I felel so welcome and at home in this site.  Also, I am french so some of my posts might sound weird.  I think in french and write in english so excuse me if it sounds different.  Peace to all of you...be back later...Louise  Â
Suzanne,
I enjoyed your angel story and know I am truly blessed. I thank God every day for His many blessings. I'm fortunate to wake up every morning with no pain, which I think is due to the exercise I get. I love the outdoors and spend as much time as possible working there, raking leaves, gardening and clearing a hill each winter that is straight up and down. I also ride my bicycle three or four times a week when the weather allows.
My mother, who is 88, is still alive and in good health although on a walker. She has had two hip replacements and came out in great shape. So I'm able to hold my head up and smile.
Anyway, I just want this post addressed to the Acknowledge Dept and express my: Thank you, Lord for all your most gracious blessings. I'm deeply grateful.
Louise, where do you live now? Were you born in France? If so, how exciting! We don't mind at all how your posts sound. We have another dear friend in here from Holland called Ria and we so enjoy reading what she posts each morning.
I have been to PT and gone walking with my firned. Now I am back here at home trying to figure out how I can do my PSP lesson without using the plugins that won't work for me. I am 3 weeks behind and getting behinder. Â ::)( A boo boo on purpose)
Louise even those most of us speak and write in English that doesn't mean that we are always literate. :-[ You are doing just fine and there will not be a problem understanding you.
So I am just stopping by to read the posts and scoot on outa here.
I AM BACK ON MY OWN COMPUTER A NEW HARD DRIVE THE OTHER WAS BROKEN Â
I AM SO HAPPY :) :) :) ;) ;) :D :D ;D ;D

Failure and Success: Not Measuring Up
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always
abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in
vain in the Lord.
--1 Corinthians 15:58
It is good to come to the understanding that while God wants us to
be holy and Spirit-filled, He does not expect us to look like
Abraham or to play the harp like David or to have the same spiritual
insight given to Paul.
All of those former heroes of the faith are dead. You are alive in
your generation. A Bible proverb says that it is better to be a
living dog than a dead lion. You may wish to be Abraham or Isaac or
Jacob, but remember that they have been asleep for long centuries,
and you are still around! You can witness for your Lord today. You
can still pray. You can still give of your substance to help those
in need. You can still encourage the depressed.
I hope you have not missed something good from God's hand because
you felt you did not measure up to Gideon or Isaiah. In this your
generation, give God all of your attention! Give Him all of your
love! Give Him all of your devotion and faithful service! You do
not know what holy, happy secret God may want to whisper to your
responsive heart. Jesus, Author of our Faith, 72.
"Father, I commit myself to faithfulness today. I don't have the
great gifts of these 'former heroes of the faith.' But You've given
me life today; You've given me the gifts You want me to have and
use; You've called me by Your grace to serve You. I give it all to
You today. Amen."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATHY!
Ria - Great to see you back posting.....You were missed! I am still praying for your dear Dad.!
Hi everyone. Â I think after a day of fog and overcast weather that the sun is about to pop out for a little while. Â It has been warm, which is nice.
I have had a pretty quiet day today. Â Pat and I went to a new restruarant called Tijuana Flats and had Mexican food. Â This is a fairly new chain from Florida and food was very good but the noise level was very loud due to loud music, high ceilings and hard floors. Â They have this large dispensing area of various hot sauces. Â I stayed with a mild one that was very good. We enjoyed the food. Â I came home and took a nap.
Ria, glad to see you have your computer fixed. Â It is a given that the hard disk will eventually crash and that is why it is important to save your e-mail addresses and website booksmarks and favorites as a minimum along with any personal files you may have that you wouldn't want to lose. Â Hope everyone is doing this occasionally.
It is great to see so many folks joining us the last few days as well as seeing the postings from our CP friends who have been here for awhile. Â
Janet, do hope you get your voice back and feel better quickly so you can enjoy the visit with your sister. Â You have such a busy schedule that you don't have time to not feel well, although maybe you will be able to find a little rest time for yourself. Â
Judy, I just looked up the movie "Ray" and see it is rated PG-13. Â Hope you enjoy it.
Marilyn, nice that you could walk with your friend. Â My neice had the Gastric ByPass surgery sometime ago and seems to be doing well. Â Her mother, however, is very worried that she isn't drinking the supplements that she is suppose to as they don't taste very good. Â She has three little children so she needs to stay healthy.
Happy Birthday Kathy.
Sonja, is that tree covered with snow from this year? Â Sure glad I live where we seldom see snow. Â Were your kids excited at the snow?
Welcome to CP Louise, babycakes and KREATIVE4JESUS
Pat and Judy, isn't this rather late for you not to have had frost? Â We still haven't seen any frost here in the Atlanta area.
Hope everyone has a nice evening. Â See you all tomorrow.
Oh, Larry, we've had frost! Lots of it but now it's something like Indian Summer!
Yes, Larry that is snow from this morning around 9:30am. Troy and Zachery don't care for snow, but Chandraya and lila Mae are excited. Lila Mae stood at the dinning room window in awe of all the white stuff on the ground.
Just a quick note as I leave town.
Kathy, I hope the birthday has been great.
Also, welcome to all our new friends and to all our returning friends - we love you with the love of our Lord.
A quick prayer request. Pam just called and said they're taking Kassie to the Emergency Room - as an RN, Mark has identified symptoms that may point to serious intestinal problems. Would appreciate prayers for safety as the dogs and I leave to go down there, and prayers for my little family down in Georgia who are so stressed tonight.
Ruth Ann
We'll be praying, Ruth Ann.
Travel safely our dear friend.
good evening everyone,

Sarah
Pat I want to let you know that the problem I was having with PSP has been solved witht he help of my moderator and a little ingenuity on my part, (experimentation with my files). That's how I have learned about my computer is by trial and error.
Gloria is home from the hospital, Someone from the Indian clinic picked her up and I met them at her place, fixed her supper and cleaned up then came home. I will go tomorrow and pick up her meds and go sit with her for awhile, maybe get some of her laundry started for her.
I am going to ask Gilbert and Sarah if I can take the kids to the Fall Harvest party at the church on Sunday before they take them trick or treat.
Back to work on my PSP now.
TTYL
Ruth Ann, prayers are being uplifted now as you travel and as Kassie is at the ER.
May your be guided and protected as you travel in the night. May God grant to the ER staff the wisdom to diagnose that will heal Kassie.
A Big THANK YOU to all for the birthday wishes. I have had a wonderful day...lunch with friends. a cookout after work with brother-in-law, SIL and their family. Tomorrow I will go so see the movie "Ray" with my sister and daughter-in-law.
Snow? Send us the pictures. It is supposed to be in the 80's here tomorrow and Sunday.
Welcome to our newcomers, :)

Ephesians 5:18

Music: John R. Sweney, 1879
Hover o'er me, Holy Spirit,
Bathe my trembling heart and brow;
Fill me with Thy hallowed presence,
Come, O come and fill me now.

Fill me now, fill me now,
Jesus, come and fill me now;
Fill me with Thy hallowed presence,
Come, O come, and fill me now.
Thou canst fill me, gracious Spirit,
Though I cannot tell Thee how;
But I need Thee, greatly need Thee,
Come, O come and fill me now.

I am weakness, full of weakness,
At Thy sacred feet I bow;
Blest, divine, eternal Spirit,
Fill with power and fill me now.

Cleanse and comfort, bless and save me,
Bathe, O bathe my heart and brow;
Thou art comforting and saving,
Thou at sweetly filling now.

Pat, no I was not born in France. Â I was born in a little town in the state of Maine called Frenchville, Maine. Â We live on the Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada border. Â We all speak french until we start school, then because we live in the USA we learn in english. Â 43 years ago when I started school all I could say in english was "please and thank you". Â Can you imagine a little kid in kindergarten not being able to ask to be able to go to the bathroom? Â The teachers all spoke french in their homes but we were NOT ALLOWED to speak any french at all on school property. Â Finally when I got in the 7th grade the great leaders in the government decided that we now HAD to take french classes but they brought in the french books from France. Â I tell you, they really made guinie pigs with us. Â The french we speak is Acadian French and now we were being told that our native tongue was wrong. Â So we still were not able to ask to use the bathroom!!!! Now about 40 years later our Acadian french is recognized and appreciated. Â We speak french anyway we want to now! Â So therefore, I think in french and then translate into english. Â That is my story for today ...Peace and blessings...Louise

I love Maine. It's so beautiful. We have another fellow on this site from there. He's been showing his lovely photos of your wonderful state in our Autumn Colours Challenge.
