Bless the Lord
"By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name."
(Hebrews 13:15)
Great things happen when you continually confess the mercy of God. Faith rises up on the inside of you. The reality that God loves you begins to sing through your spirit.
What's more, it brings honor to your Father when you believe His Word and magnify His love and mercy. You honor Him when you speak of His goodness and loving-kindness, when you talk about Him as your Father of love Who does only good. It blesses Him when you praise Him as the great God of the universe who is eager to bless and Who even gave His own Son because He so loved the world.
David was a man after God's own heart. He knew how to praise his God. Until you have the Word dwelling in you richly so that you can speak psalms and praises out of your own spirit, use the praises of David to magnify God. Speak them or sing them out loud to the Father.
Put His words continually on your lips. You will soon begin to experience the thrill and the joy of realizing that God is indeed "rich in mercy" because of His great love with which He loved us. Your faith will rise to new heights and your Father will be blessed! And you will be blessed.

Pat, the posting box is still in the shoutbox on my monitor. Glad you got a new computer, but sorry about the expense of it. Never a good time for any of our things to quit working, is there?
No, so true, Janet. The other one lasted me nearly 5 years so that was pretty good I guess. He's fixing the old one up as best he can so that I can have a backup if anything happens to this.
I can't see a posting area for the shoutbox and haven't for about a week or more. I'm using Firefox 2.0 and that may well be the problem.
Carl,
I'm using Safari and have the same problem. Tried Explorer, too, but that didn't work, either. Pat has someone checking on it.
Gripped,
Kevin
I'm truly sorry everybody seems to be having problems with the shoutbox, but I'm not. All seems to be well here. I'm usings Safari.
On a sadder note, my wife's mother passed on this morning. She had been a long term resident in an assisted living facility in Colorado. I praise the Lord that my wife was able to visit with her mother and was with her at the time of her passing.
Prayers for you family being said here Carl.
Shoutbox alive and well on IE for me.
Busy, busy........have to go stay with Abby tonight and tomorrow night, parents going to Topeka on business. I'm leaving on Thursday for Wichita for Ladies Conference for church, so I won't be around much, probably. I might post some from Jeff's computer, though. (Son-in-law)
Carl, condolences to your wife, prayers for all of you. I am so glad, too, that your wife could be with her mother at the time of her passing; that is so good.
Time to go to lunch! Later!

God allows us control of our lives. Our lives are like a light switch. We can turn the light on (God) or we can turn the light off (Satan). Then there are times when we can't control our lives...when the power goes off. That's when we either get frantically afraid of the dark or wait patiently for God to take over once again. (Faith)
Not much going on here today. We had a lightening, thunderstorm in the night. I don't think it lasted very long because it was fairly dry outside when I got. I won't tell you when I got up but it was closer to 10 than 9!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Carl,
You and yours are in my prayers this morning.
A friend who knows about my busy schedule for October-November sent me an encourating email with this text from Galatians 6 included.
So let's not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don't give up, or quit. Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.
In His Grip,
Kevin
Carl, I'm so sorry to read about your mother-in-law. Sad to say "Farewell". I'm sorry for your wife. Will you be travelling to the funeral?
Remembering you both in my prayers here in Guelph.
Thank you everyone for the kind words and prayers. Yes, I will be leaving to go to Colorado to join my wife and her family in celebration of her life, not her passing.
Carl, I sure like what you said about "celebrating her life, not her passing." That's the way I prefer to look at such things. When I preach at a funeral, that's my tack, along with speaking to the living about their own lives.
Hi everyone. We are finally back home after being gone for 10 days. I am several days behind in reading the postings in NEM but just wanted to check in. We had a wonderful family reunion that far exceeded my highest expectations. We also enjoyed 6 days with Pat's sister in Independence, Missouri. However, we are very glad to be home as I haven't felt very good for several days. I am trying to get hold of my cardiologist as think I am experiencing some congestive heart failure. Hopefully tomorrow I will feel better. I retired very early this evening and am using my laptop here in bed to try to get through a large volume of e-mail. I had a lot of church website work to catch up on today.
Larry, so glad you are home and that you had such a good time but not good news of how you feel. We'll look for a better report tomorrow.
Time to lock the door.
See you in tomorrow's New Every Morning HERE (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=5698.0)
