Morning Devotional...But thanks be to God, which put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you. 2 Corinthians 8:16
It was God who placed the concern for the believers into the heart of Titus.
Dear overseer, dear discipler, dear missionary, dear worker, dear parent--don't walk away from your post in discouragement.
It is God Himself that has placed that care in your heart for others.
He is using you.
He sees.
He knows.
He cares.
It is His work and He will provide the strength and the reward.
--M. Peters
My fainting heart finds strength in this,
My hungry heart here seeks its bliss;
My rising fears with murmuring fraught,
Find sudden calm beneath this thought:
He knows.

oops :-\ I didn't make it before Pat locked the door, but I'm firstest here today! ;D It's still the 2nd where I live, anyway. :P
I just got an email from my daughter Joy. She heard from her son Bryan! She sent me his address and phone number so now I can send it on to grandson Tim who is already in Iraq. He has been wanting to get in touch with Bryan so he can give him some pointers as well as moral support. Bryan now knows he will be going to Iraq mid to late November. He will be in the Sunni Triangle, which is southern Baghdad. He is not happy about that...come to think about it, I don't think I'm very happy about that either! >:(
Anyway, I'm really glad my bestest friend in all the world (NITA) had a good day for her birthday celebration. I got to accompany her and (part of) her family to dinner this evening. They're all special people, y'know ... Kim called me earlier this week to invite me and said "I wanted to be sure and invite Mom's bestest friend!" I smile when I think of the times we weren't so sure this friendship thing was going to work for us ... well, I think Nita had more reluctance than I did. I just go with the flow. It took some doing to convince her I don't expect, want,or need anything from her ... just be yourself and let God take care of whether we are to be good friends or just acquaintances. ;)
I'm sure glad He decided we could be best friends!
I loved the party PAT ... I think Nita did too. You are really something else, y'know that? Love you :-*
Guess I better hush now, too ... I think there are people sleeping in here. sssshhhhh <Jane tiptoes out the door, flipping the light switch off on the way>
WAKE-UP
;D it is a day God made for us all. We should rejoice in it
i think....................and you are all asleeping :-\
WOW Mieka!! Did you have to shout so loud? :o ::) :P
;D Did you wake up? 8)
We can rejoice together now, fun, yes?
Well ... yes! How can anyone sleep with you shouting WAKE UP!! ::)
We will rejoice together, my friend. This is the day the Lord has made ... let us rejoice and be glad in it! :D ;D :D ;D :D

Hallo Ria. Ik hopen u beter vandaag!
JANE. I am also praying for Tim and Bryan. This could so easily be Phillip my eldest grandson and I know how I would feel. Please God bring an end to this war....Bring our boys home safely. Amen! ...............MARANATHA.
MIEKA I love the "new you", a very "with it" young lady indeed.
LEE Thanks for the thoughts re my father Leslie. It is very, very difficult for me to talk to him. Goes back a long way...59 years in fact! I see him about once a year since my mother died. He lives further away. He has a lady and his golf friends. They go abroad a great deal. Please give him a prayer sometimes....ONLY JESUS KNOWS THE HEARTACHE! I said rightly to Etta Sue that I remembered you as an encourager to me on S.N. and that you are dear brother.
Marilyn...join the High Cholesterol club. I always thought only chubby folks had it but my doctor says not so. I heard a program on the radio a few weeks ago and it seems it's a family thing....something to do with the mother's family and heart problems which is in my case. My grandfather died in his fifties and my mother's sisters had early heart trouble....Doctor thinks it's not helped by the thyroid problem which is tending to over act again ...This he says is causing the arthritis to worsen..I am still under the clinic re this as it had become very dangerous when it was finally diagnosed.I had radioactive treatment and now take thyroxin.THANK-GOD FOR HIS GIFT OF FAITH AND FOR HIS BEAUTIFUL SON JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD........IN WHOM IS ALL OUR HOPE!....................Praise God for the gift of medicines and for our own degree of health. We can always find someone suffering much more when we open our eyes to others....
IT IS IN SELF FORGETTING
THAT WE FIND.........
St. Francis of Assissi.
May the Lord Bless and keep you all
Now and always.
Jenny.
PAT
PAT :D Thanks also for the devotional.
It is God who plants others on our hearts...
JESUS said "The Father worketh hitherto and I work".......
EVERYTHING IS OF HIM..COMES FROM HIM..
RETURNS TO HIM.
Truly we have nothing of ourselves....AMAZING!
Good mornign to you, wherever you may be. I decided to get up before the WildMan and see if I could get some work on a photo restoration project I am doing. Ever agree to do something then realize you have absolutely no clue what you are doing?????
Hope everyone has a good and Godly day, for what good is a day if it is not Godly?
I heard Mieka yelling, WAKE UP!! so, let's sing this to help us:
This is the Day (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/thisistheday3%5b1%5d.mid)
Psalm 118:24
This is the day which the LORD hath made;
we will rejoice and be glad in it.
This is the day
This is the day
That the Lord hath made
That the Lord hath made
We will rejoice
We will rejoice
And be glad in it.
And be glad in it.
This is the day
That the Lord hath made
We will rejoice
And be glad in it.
This is the day
This is the day
That the Lord hath made.

GOODMORNING PAT!

UNTIL LATER FOLKS.
JENNY
Good morning from Oregon, USA
Meika, you make me laugh with your "WAKE UP". Your new picture is so cute.
Jane, yes, I know I've changed since we first met. Very much. And so have you, my friend. God has done a great work in our hearts. So much has happened since we first met on Sn; hasn't it?
Ria, I always enjoy reading your posts. Your weather forcast seems to be just what I like. haha I enjoy storms and rain..but am also enjoying our extended dry weather now.
Karmat.......yep, been there done that. (volunteering to do something because I'm sure I can, and then waking up and remembering that I've never done that, and am not sure at all!) For what it's worth.........I believe you can do it. There. Don't you feel better? ;D ;D
Jenny, high cholesterol runs in my family also. My mother had it, I have it, (her first child) and my oldest daughter has it. Diet won't work for me. A year or so ago I had to relent and allow my doctor to put me on Lipitor. I was amazed at the results. I'd gone vegetarian for one year, and that hadn't lowered it, but the medicine did within three months. God can use any method He chooses. I'm grateful for doctors and medicines.
Pat, thanks for the devotional this morning. It's so true, and comforting, to know that He will put His very own feelings in us for others. It really is all about Him. He lives His life in us and through us. Praise God from whom all blessings flow..........
oh, yes......"I wish I could do all the little gifts, Pat, .......I meant to say GIFS, not gifts. But then again, I DO wish I could do all the little gifts too..haha
Just after 6 am, and still dark here. Angel is asleep on the couch in the other room, and in an hour will get up to get her day going. She's at "that" age.....13. One moment a little girl demanding attention, and the next a teenager pulling away from her mom and gramma with her own opinion about everything. Ahhh...remember how it was to be right all the time? :) You know everything and are always right at this age.
So far.......she still likes to hang out with her gram (gramcracker, she calls me)so I'm still in the running for "cool". ;)
Have a blessed day everyone.
Some of us are on Pinkie's "Christian Photographers" email list and this was on that list and I thought it would be good to share here:
What a Statement This is a statement that was read over the PA system at the football game at Roane County High School, Kingston, Tennessee, by school Principal, Jody McLoud. I thought it was worth sharing with the world and hope you will forward it to all your friends.
It shows clearly just how far this country has gone in the wrong direction.
"It has always been the custom at Roane County High School football games, to say a prayer and play the National Anthem, to honor God and Country."
Due to a recent ruling by the Supreme Court, I am told that saying a Prayer is a violation of Federal Case Law. As I understand the law at this time, I can use this public facility to approve of sexual perversion and call it "an alternate lifestyle," and if someone is offended, that's OK.
I can use it to con done sexual promiscuity, by dispensing condoms and calling it, "safe sex." If someone is offended, that's OK.
I can even use this public facility to present the merits of killing an unborn baby as a "viable means of birth control." If someone is offended, no problem.
I can designate a school day as "Earth Day" and involve students in activities to worship religiously and praise the goddess "Mother Earth" and call it "ecology."
I can use literature, videos and presentations in the classroom that depict people with strong, traditional Christian convictions as "simple minded" and "ignorant" and call it "enlightenment."
However, if anyone uses this facility to honor God and to ask Him to bless this event with safety and good sportsmanship, then Federal Case Law is violated.
This appears to be inconsistent at best, and at worst,
diabolical. Apparently, we are to be tolerant of everything and anyone, except God and His Commandments.
Nevertheless, as a school principal, I frequently ask staff and students to abide by rules with which they do not necessarily agree. For me to do otherwise would be inconsistent at best, and at worst, hypocritical. I suffer from that affliction enough unintentionally. I certainly do not need to add an intentional transgression. I shall "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's," and refrain from praying at this time.
"However, if you feel inspired to honor, praise and thank God and ask Him, in the name of Jesus, to bless this event, please feel free to do so. As far as I know, that's not against the law----yet."
One by one, the people in the stands bowed their heads, held hands with one another and began to pray. They prayed in the stands. They prayed in the team huddles. They prayed at the concession stand and they prayed in the Announcer's Box! The only place they didn't pray was in the Supreme Court of the United States of America - the Seat of "Justice" in the "one nation, under God."
Somehow, Kingston, Tennessee remembered what so many have forgotten. We are given the Freedom OF Religion, not the Freedom FROM Religion.
Praise God that His remnant remains!
Celebrate Jesus in 2003!
Jesus said, "
If you are ashamed of Me before men, then I will be ashamed of you before My Father." If you are not ashamed, pass this on, but only if you mean it. Yes, I do Love God. He is my source of existence and Savior. He keeps me functioning each and every day. Without Him, I will be nothing, but with Him , I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.
Philippians 4:13
Pat S: thanks for posting the wonderful words of an educator - a real educator! Thanks, Pinkie for sending the message to Pat. How very true and how very sad.
A sunny morning here and I just finished exercising on the treadmill and give thanks for being able to do so - it helps my blood pressure numbers. The aspen trees in front of our little office area are turning yellow and gold very slowly and this is my favorite time of the year.
We still have major computer problems and may be forced to buy - something not planned in our budget right now.
I spent an afternoon with a dear friend who had a heart transpant several years ago and she is having many problems. One med she takes actually attacks and destroys muscles in her knees and much pain and so forth - it is not an easy life after a transplant. She has also lost her immunity.
I am glad to hear that Papa John is mending.
Carol
I see you online JERRY!!! That's just so great after what you've been through in the past month!
Come on in here and talk to us dear friend! We love you bro!(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fsmilies.sofrayt.com%2F%255E%2Fr%2Fdance.gif&hash=090b2a8c22c5ae2d4a0b5729b4e9d99dba69595c)(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fsmilies.sofrayt.com%2F%255E%2Fr%2Fbigdance2.gif&hash=63c392b71c67a0a7fca64420e7f001f86ed96436)
Good Morning. I had a rather restless night. Last evening my nose started to get stuffy so that made it difficult to sleep well. I got up, took a cold pill and that relieved it a little bit. I hope it goes away real fast because I really don't want my patients/clients to get sick.
Y-all have been talkative already this morning/last night, I think Mieka's yelling Wake Up last night disturbed my sleep too.
Isn't is nice to see Sarah posting more now.
Be back later.
3 p.m.
Thank-you Pinkie....
STAND UP AND BE COUNTED
BROTHERS AND SISTERS
From Birmingham England. This city's logo is "Forward" ...We drift back into the dark ages..
In this city Christianity is low-profile....We must not offend our Moslem neighbours...
The city council has spent much money on extra prayer rooms in the council houses which are rented to Moslem people.also they have to have special showers for ablutions in their homes...rent payers money...Yes I know some of them pay rent.....There is no money for Youth Clubs etc., or to help new Christian churches to set themselves up.
Schools no longer have Christian assemblies in this city. It is all muti-cultural now.....to the point that Christianity is classed as just one of a number......
Derek Prince has said that England will soon be a Moslem country......The figures are proving that.....Mosques are opening up and churches are closing down.......
Jesus is coming soon....He is at the door....
"The fields are white unto harvest".......Lord Jesus send more labourers......Help our witness to be effective...for You.
The light shines on in the darkness and the darkness can never put it out....
Jenny.
The Moslems are buying up churches in this country and turning them into mosques too. Some Christian Program on TV said that there are more Mosques than churchs now in the USA. I really don't know how true that is.
Pat S. ~ Thank you!
WELCOME GRANDMOM!!!
Good morning, fellow Cp'ers. It is a great day!
I have been wogging again on the tredmill. Yesterday I wogged almost 2 miles. Can't wait to start running again. I don't like being out of shape.
I am so glad it is friday! I am going to Sheridan to the big horns to take some pictures. woohooo!
One of my favorite things to do is look at others family pictures. I love looking at the way the family reacts to each other in candid shots. Lets see some more family pictures folks.
I better scoot. I have laundry to do.
Love Sonja
Hi Jerry! A little :-* on the cheek for my precious friend! ;D
A very sad day for Canada yesterday because of the outcome of their elections.......muslims taking over great hunks of the world.......Christians being persecuted, even here in "the land of the free"........yes, Jenny, the time is short! I take comfort in the verse that says " Where sin doth abound, GRACE doth much more abound!" We must keep our eyes on Jesus, otherwise we will become so discouraged we won't know what to do!
MIEKA! You yelled so loud out there in California that you woke me up in Kansas! And I wanted to sleep in this morning..... ;) ;D It's so good to see your photo, sweetie. We all love you so much.
WELCOME TO GRANDMOM! Come on in with the rest of us, and tell us about yourself.
We are going to attend a play in Dodge City tonight (dinner theatre) so I hope Darrel gets home from Liberal in good time.
I'm going now to see if there are any new photos or comments since last night!
Janet, what sort of play is it? Sounds like fun!
Yes, what kind of play is it, Janet???? ???
Jerry, so good to see your post and your happy smiling face too. Love you!
Oh, Sonja! You've done it! I must go downstairs and get on my treadmill!
I applaud that educator in Roane Cty, TN. It's probably a good thing I wasn't in his/her place, however, because I would have gone right on to say to the people gathered, "All right now, folks, let's all stand for prayer. Let's pray first of all for the Supreme Court and all lower courts. Let's pray in the Name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Then I would have led in prayer. I'd probably go to jail eventually - but hey - I can pray there, too. I believe in rebellion! In this case it would be rebellion against the forces of darkness, rebellion against the anti-law, anti-constitution forces. The great Amendment they constantly refer to said, "Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion, nor denying the free exercise thereof." I wasn't aware that Congress made any law forcing the educator to pray. The idea was to avoid government assistance to particular denominations, not to prohibit Christians from honoring the God in Whom we trust.
Yes, Sonja----but tell me about all this WOGGING you are doing! ;) Heh, heh.
Here is what the flyer says about tonight's play: Death Trap. A chilly autumn evening, a troubling wind, a thunderstorm......be glad you're among friends for this funny but spooky script. An aging Playwright devises a plan to steal a new manuscript from one of his students. Just when you think you've got it figured out, there's one more surprise, and it's a big one! (Sound fun, doesn't it?)
I need to go to the drug store to pick up my BP med, and to Alco's for some stuffing for my chair back. Talk to you all later!
Wogging=a very fast walk. Like jogging and walking combined.
Janet I would love to go to something like that! Sounds like an interesting play! Have a great time!
OH, Boy!
I've got to start 'WOGGING'! What an interesting word! HAHAHA! Never heard it before.

GRANDMOM!
Alright! You guys have gone and done it. You knew I was going to be gone last evening. I told ya so. So what did you do? You talked and talked and talked. When I left yesterday, ya'all were on page 2 of yesterday's NEM. When I came on this mornin', ya'all gabbed for 5 more pages!! Now way could I comment on all of that! You really had a great time while I was gone!!! But at least, you posted and I could read how great a time was had by all....and all in Jesus' name!!!It is cold today. Really cold. But I must get the lawn tractor out. Just what am I going to do when the lawn no longer needs mowing??? Hmmmm! All of you will rejoice when Etta Sue doesn't have to mow!!! Maybe I need a life. But ya know...mowing is a great time to spend with God. We have great conversations while I am sitting on the mower.... :) :)

WELCOME MADRONA!!!
We're so glad to see you!
Ria, Arnold Swartzenegger is a movie actor, and a big talker, and a registered Republican, but I would not vote for the guy because he is in favor of homosexual marriages and is also for abortion. Those two things I can never approve! It is very sad that our young people today look to movie people as heros, when the majority of them have no moral values whatsoever! (IMO, of course.) :)
That's a LOT of DVDs to own---when does Marcel ever have time to watch all of those? My goodness!
Darrel got home from Liberal so we will soon get ready and head for Dodge City. We buy season tickets to the Repertory Theatre there, and really enjoy their productions. We have gotten to know most of the people over the past few years, and they work together so well. They are building a new state-of-the-art theatre, should be moving into it soon.
Mi, where are you????? 8)
See you later!
********************************************* Coincidence is when God chooses to remain anonymous.
I haven't read all the posts today, I just got up from 40 winks. I had a wonderful visit with John and Kimi this morning. They are such darling childrem. They will have been in care one year next week.
I have to go and take the middle seat out of the van and put the puppies in. I think I will have sold at lease one by tonight possible 2 - 3. I will be so glad to have them gone.
Many times in our lives we become complacent. I received this warning in an email today.
Be sober, be diligant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
( 1 PETER 5:8 *NKJV )
Have a good day I will be back this evening with a cup of tea and hopefully more inspired.
I will answer your email tonight Ria.
Bye everyone
Love Judy
;D Hi ms Janet, I am right here, silly. 8)
It is a wonderful day today. ;D I will have my friends tonight to a barbeque. ;D I am excite to have everyone here. It is a weekend before the school will start again for most of them and it will be fun for me to spend a time with them again before they must go.
So i get to play all the rest of the day 8)
I hope it is a fun day for everyone here today.
Papa John I hope you are well today. :-\
Mr Jerry ;D you did not talk very much today. It is wonderful to see you. I hope you are well today too. :)
Hi ms Pat ;D
I have read this story before, but it still give me chills!
A Journey of Friendship
By Steven B. Wiley
Curt and I have the kind of friendship that I wish everyone would be able to experience. It embodies the true meaning of partnership - trust, caring, risk-taking and all else that friendship could embrace in our hurried and harried lives.
Our friendship began many years ago. We met while attending different high schools, through competitive sports, and we had a mutual respect for each other's athletic abilities. As the years progressed, we became the best of friends. Curt was best man in my wedding, and I was his a few years later when he married my sister's roommate. He is also the godfather of my son, Nicholas. And yet the event that most exemplifies our partnership and solidified our friendship happened over 25 years ago, when we were young and in our carefree 20s.
Curt and I were attending a pool party at the local Swim and Racquet Club. He had just won the door prize, a beautiful new watch. We were walking to the car, joking about the party, and Curt turned to me and said, "Steve, you've had a few cocktails, buddy - maybe I should drive." At first I thought he was joking, but since Curt is definitely the wiser of us, I respected his sober judgment.
"Good idea," I said, and handed him the keys.
Once I was settled in the passenger seat and Curt behind the wheel, he said, "I'm going to need your help because I'm not sure how to get to your house from here."
"No problem," I responded.
Curt started the car and we were off - not without the usual first-time shifting jerks and stalls, stops and starts. The next 10 miles seemed like a hundred as I prompted Curt with directions - left now, slow down, right pretty soon, speed up and so on. The important thing is that we got home safely that night.
Ten years later at my wedding, Curt brought tears to the eyes of 400 guests as he told the story of our partnership and how we drove home together that night. Why such a remarkable story? We've all, I hope, offered our keys when we knew we shouldn't drive. But you see, my friend Curt is blind. He has been since birth and never sat behind the wheel of a car before that night.
Today, Curt is one of the top executives at General Motors in New York, and I travel around the country inspiring salespeople to form long-lasting partnerships and friendships with their clients. Our willingness to take risks and trust in each other continues to bring meaning and joy to the journey of friendship.

Oh, my Janet! That sure does give the chills. Thanks so much for sharing that here.
Thanks also for sharing your thoughts on Arnold S. I've been watching his road to the governorship of California and there are some things I sure don't like to hear about him.
Chris, I love your "road map". I'm keeping that for sure and I'm going to send it to a few people.

Janet my son and his friend they every evening they look to movies and in the weekend or they are going
to cinema. And Arnold is own of her favorites.
We have a christian government in Holland but they
are bad. They never get my voice.
The premier they call him Harrie potter the doggie of
Buch they will everything do as in America and don't
like the Dutch people The premier gets treatening
letters they will shoot him death. Last year they have
a politicus shoot down in Holland He is death.
In holland now the rich people get more and the people who have no work or are sick they get nothing
There are coming great problems in Holland.
I love you Janet Ria

For the first time since surgery I have the compute on the little hosital table and am wirting a little.
We got wonderful news today with the final p;athology report. My surgeon came in and had a long talk with me. The cancer was contaikned and he was able to remove all of it. It had not spread to the lymph nodes. He said I would not need any further treatment. No chemotherapy no radikation. This was the best medicine I have had so far. I got up and walked with the help of Cornelia, nurse, and a walker down the hall way. I am going to have one more walk. I may be able to go home Monday. I am ready
I love you all.

BLEST BE THE TIE (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/blessTie.mpga)
(Click to hear music)
Author: John Fawcett, 1740-1817
Musician: Hans G. Nageli, 1773-1836
Arr. By Lowell Mason, 1792-1872
Acts 4:32
And the multitude of them that believed
were of one heart and of one soul:
neither said any of them that ought of the things
which he possessed was his own;
but they had all things common.
Blest be the tie that binds
Our hearts in Christian love;
The fellowship of kindred minds
Is like that to that above.
Before our Father's throne
We pour our ardent prayers;
Our fears, our hopes, our aims are one
Our comforts and our cares.
We share each other's woes,
Our mutual burdens bear;
And often for each other flows
The sympathizing tear.
When we asunder part,
It gives us inward pain;
But we shall still be joined in heart,
And hope to meet again.
This glorious hope revives
Our courage by the way;
While each in expectation lives,
And longs to see the day.
From sorrow, toil and pain,
And sin, we shall be free,
And perfect love and friendship reign
Through all eternity.

PAPA JOHN.
Wonderful news Papa John and we are ready to welcome you home again. Looking forward to seeing more of you when you feel enabled. Love and prayers to you and Cornelia.
PAT.
Thanks for welcoming Chris. It's the first I knew that he'd become a member.
I'm getting a digital camera and he had asked if he could use it. So here we go...........Please be patient with us!
Thank-God that I am not alone in my feelings re Arnie S. According to our news reporter last weekend there is a marvellous man opposing him for governor who would do the job perfectly. America what are you doing?
JANET. That true story about the blind man does give me ICY chills...should it? Or am I misinterpreting it?
Good night CHRIS and MARGIT.
Welterusten RIA. Tot ziens Zuster.
Goodnight MARILYN. Speak soon.
GOODNIGHT "JOHN BOY"...

Madrona and Chris!
Chris, of Chris & Margit ~ That person lives in the Seatle, Washington, area...east of there someplace since he sees farm land.
I got the yard mowed. Then I noticed that I had a low tire on the car. I have had Tony put air in it twice in the last 1,000 miles. So I went to Pendleton and got it fixed. There was a small finishing nail in it. But it is fixed now. Then I went to Jerry's. He was surprised. He did hear the answering message when I called him. But we went shopping. He said all he needed at the grocery was bread....he came back out with 3 sacks of groceries and 2 24-cans of pop! He shops like a woman... ::) Then it started raining a little and I told him I had to get home before I melted... 8)
Now it is time to shut down for the evening.
Good night.....now, you can all start talking again and make a total of 8 pages for today!!!
Isn't it great to hear from Papa John personally? Hooray!!!!
We have so very much to thank our Heavenly Father for, don't we?
I was just going to go out to the bank but I have to take time to post here.
I'm feeling a wee bit weepy after seeing our dear Papa John's post and hearing one of my favorite songs, "As the deer panteth for the water so my soul longeth after You" and then seeing the lovely sunset in the card that Chris made for Papa John... well, I'm just so full up with praise for my Father. We really do have a great Saviour and if you don't know Him as your personal Saviour I urge you to repent of your sins and ask Him to be Lord of your life.
I'm going to listen to that lovely music one more time and then I'll be going to the bank to deposit my cheque.
Thanks so much folks for being such a wonderful group of people. We do have a great time in here, don't we?
I just love you all so much.
You folks in England, Scotland and Holland, have a wonderful sleep tonight and I look forward to reading your posts tomorrow when I get up.
Thank you Pat for my favourite song. It is the one I tend to hum/sing most. Today of all days we really to have a reason to rejoice in the day that the Lord has made. Wonderful news from Papa John!
Meika. What a wonderful photo. It is nice to be able to finally put a beautiful face to a beautiful person!
I have to go out and do some shopping but will be back later to finish reading all the posts. (I only got the first page read and some of the Prayer Posts).
Sue
::) Thank you Ms Sue.
Papa John I knew it is a day to rejoice, I just knew it.

I just posted, in Manna For The Soul, a modern day parable y'all might like to check out. I printed it out and shared it with the women who met in my home yesterday. Nita thought I should share it here http://christianphotographers.com/yabbse/index.php?board=4;action=display;threadid=1400 (http://christianphotographers.com/yabbse/index.php?board=4;action=display;threadid=1400) as well ... Who can cheer the heart like Jesus,
By His presence all divine?
True and tender, pure and precious,
O how blest to call Him mine!
Chorus:
All that thrills my soul is Jesus;
He is more than life to me;
And the fairest of ten thousand,
In my blessed Lord I see.
Love of Christ so freely given.
Grace of God beyond degree,
Mercy higher than the heaven,
Deeper then the deepest sea.
Chorus
What a wonderful redemption!
Never can a mortal know
How my sin, tho' red like crimson,
Can be whiter than the snow.
Chorus
Every need His hand supplying,
Every good in Him I see;
On His strength divine relying,
He is all in all to me.
Chorus
By the crystal flowing river
With the ransomed I will sing,
And forever and forever
Praise and glorify the King.
Chorus:
All that thrills my soul is Jesus;
He is more than life to me;
And the fairest of ten thousand,
In my blessed Lord I see.

Since someone brought up the California election and Arnie, I must say that I am a registered Republican and there is no way I will vote for Arnold Swartzenegger. The other Rupublican that seems more qualified for the job and is a conservative , No gay marriages and no abortions is Tom McClintock That who I am voting for. Arnie should be a Democrat with his liberal ideas. The ads are saying that he has failed to vote in 13 of 19 elections.
Ok I'll step down off my soapbox now.

About Arnie, I wondered how the Californians felt. Wonder why a republican would say he is for abortion and homosexuality when those are two very prominent democratic views? :-\
What are we doing, America? Jenny, I wish I knew. :'(
Hi, there, friends,
I'm just popping in for a moment to let y'all know the business meeting seemed to go well, and Ruth Ann is BUSHED! I'm headed to bed as soon as I retrieve my purse and bag from the truck. Was too tired to go back to get it until I rested a moment.
I hope to read more of the messages tomorrow if there's any spare time (and if my computer cooperates!).
Ruth Ann
I'm so glad to see that Papa John himself posted here today. Praise God for such good news! :D I had to work all day today so couldn't make a call to the hospital this afternoon and when I got home I discovered that the switchboard closes at 5:00 :( So I was doubly glad to hear from him directly.
I think I can safely say that summer is over. When I got up this morning it was 25F (that's about -4C for you folks with "different" thermometers ::) ) Needless to say there was frost on the car and truck, but that's the first so far this year. It's not supposed to get much above 50F (10C) for the next week or so.

WELCOME BOOTS!!
We're REALLY so very glad to see you!
BOOTS!
Everyone, I've been looking for Boots for about two years! He changed his email address and I've prayed so hard that I'd find him someday!
Well, he's been found! I found him on SeniorNet this evening. Please welcome Boots to our Fellowship of Christian Photographers!
(Lee, he's a golfer! And you probably remember him and I know that Al Moak will definitely remember him.)

Hi everyone and a special welcome to all of our new members. I am really late getting here to read the postings today. We went out to dinner with friends and then they stopped and played a couple of games of Spades, had some good sugar-free chocolate pie with pecan crust. I am now watching the Atlanta Braves play the Chicago Cubs and right now my team is behind.
Papa John, it was so good to see your posting and to get the news we have all been praying for that they got the cancer and that you won't have to endure chemo or radiation. I am sure it will take you awhile to regain your strength after this surgery and hospitalization on top of the stents but just take your time and get lots of rest.
It is great to see so many postings again today. Yesterday must have set a record for individual posts and perhaps today will exceed yesterday. Am going to make this short tonight. See you all tomorrow.

Where Could I Go But to the Lord (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/Where_Could_I_Go.mid)
(Click to hear music)
Living below in this old sinful world
Hardly a comfort can afford
Striving alone to face temptations call
Where could I go to the Lord
Chorus:
Where could I go where could I go
Seeking a refuge for my soul
Needing a friend to help me in the end
Where could I go to the Lord
Neighbors are fun I love them everyone
We get along in sweet accord
But when I pass the chilling hand of death
Where could I go to the Lord
Chorus
Life here is grand with friends I love so well
Comfort I get from God's own Word
But when my soul needs manna from above
Where could I go to the Lord
Chorus
Where could I go where could I go
Seeking a refuge for my soul
Needing a friend to help me in the end
Where could I go to the Lord
Where could I go to the Lord

Yea, a day of posting by Papa and Jerry. It almost feels complete.
I've posted my feeble attempts at photo restoration in the forum about critiques. If any of you could take a look, I would appreciate some feedback.
Welcome to all the new people. Sorry to not call you by name. There has been a recent flurry, and my little brain lost track. :-\ ::)
I'm off ot look at some picture. Have a good night, if I don't get back in here.
karmat
hey ya'll
first off welcome to the newcommers. we have had so many of ya'll!
our cheerleaders sucessfully left today :) which made classes easy and then the football guys left. we all watched coach and some guys try and put in a light bulb in the gym today and pondered how many guys does it take to screw ina light bulb. the answer around 6 one to hold the ladder one to hold the stick thing witht hte light bulb attached 4 to be ready in case the bulb falls. it was interesting to say the least!
we had easy classes considering that in most of them we did absolutly nothing. today was difinatly a friday!
How was everyones day?
well i need to catch up there are so many posts!
Sarah
WELCOME

AND
BOOTS
[/glow]
Sarah, that's so funny! Sounds just like the joke that went around.
It's so nice seeing you here. Yes, isn't it great to see so many new members on here?
Thank you Pat for posting Where Could I go? I really like that song. and Where could we go, I had tried the ways of the world and didn't like it anymore, all I had left was the Lord. Praise the Lord for my salvation. HALLELUJAH
Wow what a flurry of new members. That's fantastic.
Night now, got to get some rest and get over this cold. My chicken soup turned out real good I put Curry in it. Maybe I should post the recipe.
Thanks Pat for that lively toe-tapping music and I see your little coloured eggs are dancing too.
I love that song.
Hi Mieka....thank you for the lovely picture.
Ruthie
Definitely post the recipe. Anything with curry in it has to be terrific!
I posted that for you on SN as well, Marilyn. ;)
Hey, folks! 95 posts - well I guess this makes 96 - just today! When we get going there's no stopping us! :o
Pat the recipe is posted.
pat it was interesting our coach thought he was going to break the bulb and almost did they dropped it three times but the 4 guys caught it in some way coach said OH NO everytime it fell or OHOHOH. it was funny attracted quite a crowd. but we had nothing better to do today there were only 4 of us in the hour and we didn't really want to do anything. the football guys and coach and some other guys were changing light bulbs so we sat on the sidelines and watched!
Good night all. It's nighttime at the shuford house.
Take care
karmat
PS -- When I was in college, we had a whole collection of lightbulb jokes. One of them was "How many trumpet players does it take to change a light bulb?" 7. 1 to do it and 6 others to stand around and talk about how much better they could be doing it. (I'm a trumpet player. :P)
Football players make better jokes, though. ;D
Thank you for those wonderful directions to Our Father's House Chris & Margit. I have already copied into my email and forwarded they were so great.
Let me see if I can get in before the door closes

Is October 3 still here? I had to come in and see how the day went. It was great seeing Papa John and Jerry post!!
Hello to all the newcomers. My, this place is growing.
Sarah, that's funny about everyone watching the coach and helpers put in the new bulbs. :)
Pat, I'm sorry you're feeling sort of weepy. But sometimes weepy, if it's for our Jesus, is a good thing. I cry a lot. :)
Jane, I saw your parable posting in Manna. I'm glad you put it here. I think everyone should have a chance to read it. ;D
Good morning Ria! We'll just pass and hug because it's almost my bedtime here. I wish you a beautiful day in the Lord's Presence.
Good night to the nightimers and good morning to the risers. Isn't the internet wonderful? The Lord's body all over the world, and we can communicate this way......it amazes me. I love you all. Nita
I made it. I got here before Pat locked the door. :) now......I'm ready for you to close the door, dear Pat.
Hi Nita...
Well, I'm ready but I hate to do it while someone might be posting a message and then maybe lose their post.
Well, here goes!
I'm locking the door. If you've reached this post and still haven't posted, that's just fine. Just click on the link that I put in and post your message in the new topic.
Wasn't today just a wonderful day here at "CP"?
To read two posts--one for Papa John and the other from Jerry was just so good.
Let's continue to pray for our dear brothers in the Lord.
Now, let's continue our discussion in our new topic:
