Morning Devotional...
EXERCISE YOUR RIGHTS!
"He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."
(Isaiah 53:5)
Jesus came to earth and gave Himself as a sacrifice for sin in order to buy back for you everything that Adam lost. He came to destroy all the works of the devil...sickness and disease included. Once you receive Him as Lord of your life, all the rights and privileges God originally intended you to have (the right to things like fellowship with God, health and prosperity) are restored.
But you are the one who has to exercise those rights!
You see, the devil is an outlaw and even though Jesus has taken away his authority in the earth, even though he has no legal right to kill or steal from the children of God, he'll do it anyway...as long as you'll let him get away with it.
You must enforce his defeat by speaking the Word of God in faith. Act on His Word now. Demand that sickness and disease leave you in the Name of Jesus. Then refuse to back off that demand. Resist the devil with all you've got. He might fight you for a while, but sooner or later, he will have to flee from you!
Scripture Study: Matthew 8:1-17
Thank you for the good wishes on my interview. It is not at the same place as I currently work. I had backed off sending out resumes for a couple of weeks because we were so busy at the store and I was so tired when I got home. I had been chatting with my girlfriend this evening and she had made the comment that I needed to get back at it and I agreed with her. After we got off the phone, this gentleman called and I had sent my resume to his company two months ago, on the same day that they had decided on a person to fill the position. He kept my resume and is now calling me to set up an interview (I am guessing that the chosen one two months ago has not worked out). It is for a receptionist/bookkeeper.
Papa John, I am so happy that your surgery went so well. I am sure that you will be happy to have your eyesight restored!
Night everyone!
Good Morning everyone.
I didn't sleep well last night, we have the flu going around in the house thus was kept awake.
The forcast is good for us here in the North, 30*C for today. Now for you in the south that is about 86*F. Nice really nice. The longer we keep winter away the better I like it.
Ruth do you have fog this A.M.? We do up here but that doesn't slow the busses down.
Well I am going too lie back down, the girls will leave in 10 so Bye for now.
Judy
Sue, best wishes for a favorable interview!
I am going the wrong direction in this chase for sleep. From 30 minutes' worth on Sunday night down to less than 10 minutes, sometime after 5 this morning. I was so tired I snored and immediately woke myself up. :o Man, am I getting tired, too. I have no idea why I can't get to sleep; I was nearly falling off my chair last night, and as soon as I lay down, was wide awake again. Anybody know how many hours one can go without sleep??? :-\ :(
For sure, I will be ready for a week away!
JudyB, hope you at least got in a nap after the girls left for school.
Have a wonderful day, everyone. And remember to keep our Larry in your prayers today!
Janet have you ever tried something like Tylenol PM or something similar to help you get to sleep. I have used an over the counter Sleep aid that I got from Costco a few times and really slept well.
Thanks for the devotional too. That's the kind of preaching I like. So many preachers these days are only preaching what the people want to hear and not what they NEED to hear.
Blessings to you on your interview Sue.
Would y-all pray for the Revival that we are having at my church this week Wednesday through Sunday the Evangelist's name is Craig Lorick.

To all the newcomers, I am sorry that I have been so lax in greeting each one seperately but please know that each and every one of you is so welcome to be here at Christian Photographers. Now please join us here and tell us all about yourselves.
Good Morning!
No fog here, Judy. It's a beautiful day here today. A good day to clean up my back yard!
We have fun in our Games area and one is our "Choose A Caption" for a photo.
Here's our last one!
"Don't even THINK about it!"

What a difference a day makes when it comes to pain. I am not 100% back but at least, I can get up and walk without whincing. Thank you, God.
Marilyn, thanks for shouting at me. Dumb me, that made me realize what the Shout Box was for and I shouted to all of you! I can be so dense at times.
Our minister that is my Small Groups Bible Study came over to talk to me at the Audio/Visual kiosk Sunday and asked how I was. Well, I told him about my thigh and that I think it is from standing and standing during the singing was really painful. He looked at me and said, 'God doesn't care whether you stand or sit during the songs...you sit if that makes you feel better'. That made me feel better. I will ask for a chair at the kiosk next week and sit during the songs...I will see how that works.
Janet, I have never had nights that I couldn't sleep...just A night and then the next day or night, I slept good. I have no idea why you aren't sleeping and I don't know how long you can go that way. You do seem to have a lot on your plate. Maybe the word I could give you is 'delegate'. Quit taking on so much yourself!
Ivalou is getting her A/C worked on today. My A/C unit is exactly like hers so later I want to see who she called and put the number in my phone book. That is, if he fixes it for her.
I think I am mowing today. Tomorrow it is suppose to rain and yesterday, there was no way I could have gotten on the mower. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I'm glad your back is a little better, Etta Sue.
Even if you don't sing, you can enjoy the words of this one.

Great God of Wonders! (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/sovereignty.mp3)
(Click to hear music)
Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity,
and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage?
he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.
Micah 7:18
Author: Samuel Davies, 1723-1761
Musician: John Newton, 1725-1807
Great God of wonders! all Thy ways
Are matchless, Godlike, and divine;
But the bright glories of Thy grace
Above thine other wonders shine,
Above thine other wonders shine.
Refrain:
Who is a pard'ning God like Thee?
Or who has grace so rich and free?
Or who has grace so rich and free?
Such deep transgressions to forgive!
Such guilty sinners thus to spare!
This is Thy grand prerogative,
And in this honor none shall share;
And in this honor none shall share.
In wonder lost, with trembling joy,
We take the pardon of our God:
Pardon for crimes of deepest dye,
A pardon bought with Jesus' blood,
A pardon bought with Jesus' blood.
O may this glorious, matchless love,
This God-like miracle of grace,
Teach mortal tongues, like those above,
To raise this song of lofty praise,
To raise this song of lofty praise:

I just arrived to do catchup reading and suddenly the dryer has sounded so I had better run as I have a piece of fabric that I pre-washed, I would like to get it folded while still warm.
Judy no we do not have fog as yet. That comes too soon.
Ruth
We went to the doctor early this morning. He took the thing off the eye, did some examination, put in drops, etc. I go back again Friday morning. I am doing fine except my eye feels like it has something in it most of the time, something like a grain of sand.
He told me to take it easy for a few days and that Friday I probably be able to return to my regular activities. Ha. My regular acdtivities involves taking it easy. I have drops to put in my eye four times a day.
Thanks to everyone for wishing me well.
Prov 3:3-5
3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.
5 ]Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; (NIV)
Papa John <;D)))><<
;D THANK YOU, ETTA SUE!
For the wonderful welcome to the community!!!!
Welcome Dreamer!
Papa John, so if you take it easy while taking it easy, does that mean you are taking it easier, or you are working? :)
Just running through for now. Maybe back later!
karmat
Marilyn, I made the mistake of taking Tylenol 2 Sunday night, and it has the opposite effect on me. :o The nurse told me this morning to try Unisom, as it has a different med in it.
I do pray Larry is doing well with his procedure today.
I am so tired I am becoming disoriented. Did someone say "delegate"??? How I wish there was someone to delegate TO!
Janet, I've tried Tylenol PM and it works for me too. Regular Tylenol keeps me up. :)
Dreamer, a great big welcome from me too.
Thank you, Pat! It's so nice to meet you all!
Dreamer , I am quite new to this site also. I certainly don't know my way around but folks are very kind . Welcome , and may you know the blessing of the Lord Jesus Christ here.
John.
Thanks for the welcome, John and karmat! Everyone has been so nice... It's so nice to share with people who not only enjoy photography but have a love of the Lord also! I'm looking forward to contributing to this very friendly community...
Dreamer, have you opened your albums in our gallery yet?
Looking forward to seeing some there.
If you don't know how, let us know and we'll help.
Well I did get some rest, I did not go back to bed but did rest. The girls have brought a virus home and it is working its way through the family. It is not the 24 hour variety either.
Ruth there is fog here every morning, low lying and dense. Seems the bus drivers are used to it though as there are no slow downs like I had in Guelph when I was driving there.
I hope and pray that the beautiful weather we are having lasts. It is like summer here. The only difference is the nights are really cool and that makes for good sleeping.
We ate out tonight, I was in no mood to cook after being out. That means less work tonight. I am antzy to get sewing something other than alterations. I have a suit to finish and a dress and jacket to do. We have a Gaither Homecoming in Toronto in 2 weeks and I aim to wear them that weekend.
Ruth what is that faberic going to turn into? Curiosity kills the cat.
Pat where is Ruthie these days?
Well Bye for now
Judy
All you newcomers. WELCOME TO CP.
I can't wait too get to know you!!!
Larry: I stopped in to see if you were posting tonight. Today is your procedure?
Papa John: And, you already had eye surgery this week. The grain of sand feeling should go away soon. Hopefully!!!!
Janet: Well, our own Pat had months of sleeplessness with her shoulder pain - it is really terrible when it happens, the sleeplessness, I mean. Yes, please stay off the road as you don't have the quick reaction time. I hope this turns around quickly for you.
Marilyn: It sounds like you are getting a hand on that cold.
Sue: My best wishes on the new job prospect.
Our daughter has signed on with Habitat to help build a home in the disaster zone, but that may be months away. She will take a week off work & probably will love it more than the marketing job she has now. I don't think I could be of much help in the high heat and humidity right now. Can, however, go on making quilts for the church & they will give all away.
I saw ice right off of the road late this morning. We drove Trail Ridge road, the highest paved road in the nation. It will close if any snow or anything comes - just thought I would warn everyone. Winter is coming. Temps in the morning were into the 30's.
Quotehe delighteth in mercy
. What wonderful assurance. Thank you, Pat!!!
Welcome to all newcomers![/color]
Carol
Well Hello Carol I wondered when you had gone off to. Good to see you back. ;)
I fell again today this time I don't really know how it happened but I think I caught the toe of my shoe on the edge of the ramp that goes into Versal's front door for her scooter. I went down on the same knee but didn't hurt my knee this time I hurt my right wrist. Oh boy now I have to be very careful since I am right handed. I didn't break any bones that I know of but it sure is sore. Two falls in as many weeks is not a good sign. "Satan Get thee behind me." :-\
I am doing Versal's laundry today. So I came home after only being there for 1 1/2 hours. I got one more box packed this morning and am get anxious to go take some of my potted plants over there and put them in the ground. Something has attacked my little lilac tree and some of the leaves have turned brown and have holes in them. There was cobwebs on a few of the leaves, Spider mites maybe ??? My Tropicana Rose is blooming like crazy. One of the blooms has brown edges, don't know what is causing that. There are a lot of those little Rollie bugs (Sow Bugs) under my post and I hope they aren't eating at the roots of my plants.
Well what do you know this got a little long so I will stop here.

Dreamer - I want to echo A. Baker's welcom. Fellowship is the blessing of our Lord.
Hello DreamerSB
Marilyn, please be careful! We don't want you down and out just before you move!
JudyB...you have tickets for the Gaither's?
Papa John, hopefully the eydrops will help make the feeling of something in your eye go away.
Janet, I have found that Gravol helps me sleep when I have had problems.
Karmat, how is little Kristi doing?
:'( The job interview was a go nowhere interview. Perhaps the next one will have my name attached to the job. On a brighter note, my day at the store went well today. The new computers were installed, and I think I only had one semi-major boo-boo and that was fixable without too much trouble. I really thought that my speed would be slow for several days while I/we got used to the system but by the end of the day, my speed was right back where it needed to be. Now to watch the final episode of Canadian Idol.
Welcome tjlytle come on in and tell us how you found us and about yourself.
Thanks for the advice. I have not heard of Gravol, but Darrel picked up some Unisom for me today, plus lozenges to soothe our throats. He and I both hacked and coughed all night. I know it's from breathing that dirty stuff, so today I also had him pick up some masks, and I got along much better.
Sometime during the night, Darrel told me to try to stop worrying about the stuff we are dealing with; and how I wish I could just fip a magic switch and turn off the thoughts.
Hello, Carol. Nice that you are making quilts to give away.
I also want to welcome all our new members. We are so happy to have you with us.
Etta Sue, I'm glad you felt so much better today. I'm believing for that for ME tomorrow!
And now, at the "very late" hour of 8 PM, this gal is going to bed. I hope by the time I have read my portion of Scripture for the day, my eyelids will be drooping.
Time to lock the door, folks...
