Morning Devotional

Malachi 3:6. For I am the Lord, I do not change; therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob." "But You are the same, and Your years will have no end." "Every good and perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with Whom there is no variation or shadow of turning."

Our God is unchangeable in His being, His purposes, and His promises.  When God is said to "repent," the change is only a change in His actions toward men, not in God Himself or in His eternal purposes.  Of God it is said, "God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent.  Has He said, and will He not do.  Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

So when He sets His love upon each of His people, it's His eternal decree that they shall believe, repent, trust Christ, and be everlastingly saved!  As the apostle said, "Being confident of this very thing, that He Who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."  Praise our unchangeable God!

Al Moak

O the Deep, Deep Love of Jesus (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/ebenezer.mpga)
(Click to hear music)

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature,
shall be able to separate us from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:39

Author:  S. Trevor Francis, 1834-1925
Musician:  Thomas John Williams, 1869-1944

O the deep, deep love of Jesus,
vast, unmeasured, boundless, free!
Rolling as a mighty ocean
in its fullness over me!
Underneath me, all around me,
is the current of Thy love
Leading onward, leading homeward
to Thy glorious rest above!

O the deep, deep love of Jesus,
spread His praise from shore to shore!
How he loveth, ever loveth,
changeth never, nevermore!
How he watches o'er His loved ones,
died to call them all His own;
How for them intercedeth,
watcheth o'er them from the throne!

O the deep, deep love of Jesus,
love of every love the best!
'Tis an ocean full of blessing,
'tis a haven giving rest!
O the deep, deep love of Jesus,
'tis a heaven of heavens to me;
And it lifts me up to glory,
for it lifts me up to Thee!

Good Morning!

This is the day the Lord has made and we are told to rejoice and be glad in ti!

John is out cutting our wood.  We have friends to help and at this point I have no idea who all will show up!

Well here is the latest on the cats.  Several years ago I got a male and female cat Jasper and Tess.  Tess is a wonderful mother.  Last summer 2004 she had 3 kits and we gave one to a girl I worked with.  Because of the number of mice we have we decided to keep the 2 femail kits.  One of them had two babies the other about two weeks later the other hada litter of 4. As I said earlier one of the femail cats has dissapeared leaving behind 4 kittens.  The kits are doing well even though their mommy is gone.  The other mother with the 2 kits has taken over the job of nursing the orphaned kittens. One of her babies has dies of an unknows cause.  I have supplemented, but for the main part she has done a good job.  One of the kittens have been spoken for and the girls have a way of giving the kittens away.  Elizabeth decided she wanted a cat of her own.  In comes female #3 A cute youngster.  We agreed to this as Jasper and Tess seem to be wanting to be strictly out doors cats.  Well yesterday Tess came in and was obviously ready to have kittens.  We came home from church to 5 more kittens and another on the way.  Yiikes. 13 cats in the house and one still wanting to stay outside.  We are getting the females fixed, and trying to coax Jasper in the house so we can get him fixes as well.  We are keeping 4 cats, for the purpose of keeping the mice at bay.  the rest have to go.  Takers anyone???

I have a ton of ironing and a pile of folding to do.  I have to get at it, and I have sewing to do.

Pat have you any more furniture you want moved?

A Baker thankyou for praying for us today.

Love to all
Judy

Good Morning, I m very hoarse this morning with almost no voice from all the singing and shouting at the revival. I still have my cold and it seems to be settling in my chest.  Oh my now it is cold here and I will be so busy this week, no resting for me. I need the healing power of God to saturate my body so I can get all this done. I would greatly appreciate your prayers.

ps thanks Al for the devotional.

Ali is in the sink...sitting in the sink with her upper body and paws resting on the countertop...waiting for me to turn around so she can meow for me to turn on the water.  Inky...how does she know when I am opening a new container of milk?  I was and she came running and mewing.  She loves to play with the plastic rings under the cap on the milk.  She will play for hours until she gets tired or loses them under something.  They are a delight.

But I don't envy Judy in having 13 cats in the house and spaying and neutering must be more reasonable in price in Canada.  Too expensive here.  Inky was over $200.

The Class Reunion was fantabulous.  It was held at a Wesleyan Church.  Our class president is the minister there.  His wife also is a classmate.  We had a pitch-in dinner and way too much food.  So much food left over.  There are 48 living classmates and 25 came to the reunion.  We invited some that went to school with us our Junior and part of the Senior year and 3 of them came.  There were 3 that were first time attendees!  We are thinking of having another reunion in 2007 and one in 2009 and then the 50th Year Reunion in 2010.  At Lapel, the graduating class 50 years ago is invited to the commencement and are honored with flowers and special seating.  Plus most classes really do special things that year from dinners at really nice restaurants to 2-3 days at a hotel/motel in a resort town.  So we have to plan for that.  But I was on a high from seeing everyone....well, still am.  I sure didn't realize how many of them drove by my house daily and weekly!  One girl lives at Indiana University area and got to Lapel early so found my house and we visited for an hour before having to leave.  Really, really great!

Church was awesome yesterday but I am going to have to do something about standing so long at church.  I am in pain the rest of the day...feel better today but not 100%.  I need to do something about it but I don't know what.  Kitty wants me to go to her massage therapists...may try that.

Kaye Don called and said a wiener roast was happening back in the woods last night so about 13 showed up back there for a cook out.  They liked my leftover Cornbread Salad!

Kaye Don and Ivalou mowed yesterday but my back said, "NO!"  The weather for today said rain late Monday night.  They lied.  It was raining when I got up.  But the sun is shining now so perhaps after lunch I can mow.

Tonight we start our Small Groups Bible Study back up after taking the summer off.

And thanks so much, John, for praying for all of us.  That means so much to hear.

Get well soon, Marilyn! You need all your strength for moving.

Etta Sue, sounds like you had such a great time at your reunion.  That's so good.  Cute to hear about Inky and the little plastic rings.  Loren loves them and comes running too when she knows I'm opening a new one.

Hi Judy!  Can't move any more furniture. ;)

Now, this is sad...

Christians Subject to Pornography's Lure

by AFA Journal
September 19, 2005

(ChristiansUnite.com) - Another pastor's ministry is lost and his family stripped away -- all because of an addiction to pornography. As sad as it is, Christians are not immune to the evil forces of perversion, as evident from a growing body of research.

According to World magazine, 2003 survey found that 47 percent of Christians admitted pornography is a serious problem at home. In addition, 37 percent of pastors have viewed Internet porn, according to a 2001 Christianity Today leadership survey.

Hi everyone.  Just awaiting the arrival of my son to take me to my doctor appointment downtown in Atlanta and to run a couple of errands on the way.  I am not feeling as nauseous today but am pretty tired.  At least I kept going today.  Just today and tomorrow on the antibiotic and that should be over. I had to get up at 12:30 am to take one last night and eat some crackers, not my idea of the ideal time to eat a meal.

Al, thanks for the devotional.

JudyB, we have one cat and that is plenty.  I can't image having 13 around.  Hope the wood cutting goes well.

Marilyn, sorry to read of your sore throat.  Hope it clears up quickly as you do have a busy week with your impending move this weekend.

See my son is here.

Pat that was an interesting article.  It is sad that it has become such a problem.  We need to pray for our brothers and sisters who are involved in this sin.  Our pastor has said that there is always someone who knows the problem exists with individuals and we as caring brothers and sisters need to put a loving arm around them and point out that we know there is a problem in their lives with porn.  He also said we need to become accoountable to someone who cares.  Man to man and lady to lady.

Etta Sue we will be getting rid of all but 4 of the cats. With 2 cats outside and 2 inside that keeps the mieces at bay.  The mice, (kangaroo mice I think they are called)  are really brazen here just daring us to try to get them.   The cost of spaying is high but we will do this one at a time, with the daddy first, that is if we can catch him!!

Bonnie called a bit ago and has told me she has saved another turtle.  We have one in an aquarium that we enjoy and now it has a companion.  This is quickly becoming the kids menagerie. almost a zoo.  Oh well, it IS educational and the various pets are well loved.

There is a crew of guys cutting wood today.  I would love to be out there to take some pictures.  We thought we were alone this year getting the wood in, but our brothers in Christ have pitched in and made a tough job easier.

Marilyn revival is always necessary first in us as individuals then in our church and finally in the community.  I will pray for your church as they carry the torch.

I pray Janet is having a good time away.

Love to all
Judy

Cleanse Me (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/now.mid)
(Click to hear music)

Search me, O God, and know my heart today;
Try me, O Savior, know my thoughts I pray.
See if there be some wicked way in me;
Cleanse me from ev'ry sin and set me free.

I praise Thee, Lord, for cleansing me from sin;
Fulfill Thy Word and make me pure within.
Fill me with fie where once I burned with shame;
Grant my desire to magnify Thy name.

Lord, take my life and make it wholly Thine;
Fill my poor heart with Thy great love divine.
Take all my will, my passion, self and pride;
I now surrender, Lord--in me abide.

O Holy Ghost, revival comes from Thee;
Send a revival--start the work in me.
Thy Word declares Thou wilt supply our need;
For blessings now, O Lord, I humbly plead.

Thank you for that hymn Pat.  Revival does indeed come only from our Lord.  Do what we might, we cannot bring about spiritual work by carnal means.  Oh Father, begin Your gracious work in ME.

By the way - does anyone know the following hymn, and does anyone know if there's a midi for it?

Great God, how infinite art Thou!
How poor and weak are we!
Let the whole race of creatures bow,
and pay their praise to Thee.

Thy throne eternal ages stood,
ere seas or stars were made;
Thou art the ever living God,
Were all the nations dead.

Eternity, with all its years,
Stands present in Thy view;
To Thee there's nothing old appears;
To Thee there's nothing new.

Our lives through various scenes are drawn,
And vexed with trifling cares;
While Thine eternal thought moves on -
Thine undisturbed affairs.

Great God, how infinite art thou!
How poor and weak are we!
Let the whole race of creatures bow,
And pay their praise to Thee.

I am completely aware that Revival starts within the individual and comes from God.

Pat and Al what are you saying to me here if anything? I do hope you are not putting down anything I have said about the Revival. I had a wonderful time and got blessed in so many ways.

I'm not sure what you mean, Marilyn.  I only posted a hymn.  I was lying in bed trying to fight a headache with a cd on and they sang that and I couldn't stop humming it.  That's usually what happens Marilyn when I post a midi.  I then came down and looked it up and posted it.

You weren't in my mind.  I just received a blessing from the Lord by listening to it and thought I'd share with you all.

OK my error. I jumped to conclusions.

I am so tired. The throat feels better after some Chicken broth and  chewing up a piece of garlic.
I took over another load today and took the dogs with me. Happy was afraid to go into the house but I got him in the back gate and they had a blast running around in the big yard.

Then The water company called me, they were over to turn on the water and a faucet was on in the house I had to turn right around and go back to check the faucets. I will be so glad when this is all over and I can settle down and just relax.

The cost has been  too much First, Last and Deposit was $1950. I almost cleaned out my savings account. The deposit from here will only put about $200. back into savings, that is rather disappointing since Christmas will be here before we know it.  Well I can build it back up in time. I still need to get a couple of cabinets with doors the kitchen cupboards are way too small for me.

 It has been a little different day for me. I did my morning school bus trip but to the displeasure of the company I had taken the rest of the day off to visit with some cousins in Orangeville after the visit I went to the camera shop in the  Orangeville Mall.

By the time I arrived home hubby was cooking dinner. By the way he is a good cook - his mom taught him well.

Orangeville had a little rain but here at home so far nothing. Time to say nite nite to all

It's the garlic that did it, Marilyn.  The cost wouldn't have been so high if you hadn't taken that garlic!  But, more seriously, the same God Who supplied that house and yard will supply all that you truly need.

Hi, friends,

It's good to hear from y'all. A Baker, good to hear your prayer.

Pat, that song is one of my most favorite pieces of music. It's easy to sing, and oh, how meaningful are the words.

I'll be going back to the doctor about my foot in 3 weeks. He is still hoping the break will heal. In the interim, I have to take a trip this weekend and another one the first week in October. So, I phoned American Airlines and spoke with the nicest person. They are going to call and let me know the new seat numbers they're assigning me because of the broken foot.

It was good to visit with a friend from my high school days, Etta Sue. She lives in the area and was taking a walk past my driveway as I pulled in. So, we chatted a few moments.

Please rejoice with me. My right leg is shorter than the left one, so the muscles aren't as strong. Since the left foot is the one in the cast, my right leg and foot have developed a lot of strength. I was able to go up and down the steep steps inside my closed-in garage this weekend. And, my son and I think we have worked out a system for me to get the wheelchair up those steps without such a long walk from the driveway to the front porch.

It's amazing how much such a little thing means to me. Now, I can park under the carport where the automatic light comes on, can enter and exit much more safely.

Isn't God good.

Y'all have a good evening.

Ruth Ann

AMEN Al. He WILL supply all my needs. Not necessarily my wants but my NEEDS. God is so good. I am still in awe of the house he gave me and can't wait to get all moved in so I can at last rest. I still have the rest of the kitchen to pack up and some stuff from the hutch and top of my dresser, and the cleaning supplies from under the sink.I wish I could just snap my fingers and it would be done. Well I never could snap my fingers anyway.

Good Evening from a sunny and warm island.  We are having a wonderful fall and so far...dry.  Cool at night and that crisp feeling is certainly in the air!

Nice devotional and good music.  Thanks Pastor Al.  Lots of encouraging things here today and from yest. reading....Sometimes I get discouraged, not able to get to a church, and depression rears it's head.  You are right Marilyn, that old Devil loves to zap when one is not on guard.

Wish it were possible to go and hear the Gaithers......possibly they might come to Victoria sometime.  I would go and stay overnight in order to hear them.  Find their music fills my spirit with joy and hope.  It is hope that makes people feel ALIVE.....Recently read how people will forget what we say, forget what we do....but never forget how we make them feel.  Perhaps the churches need to remember that when teaching about Jesus.  Truth and Love together can make Jesus real to people who have lost that powerful feeling of Hope for tomorrow.  Have been there more than once.....

Misty has been trying to stay out rather than in the garage at night.  So I brought her in for a time on my lap and lots of petting.  Squeek came down and what a sad an unhappy little face!  She is so afraid of anyone taking her place....as if that were possible.  Misty was quite unconcerned about it, glared at her, turned her head and went back to sleep on my knee.  Made me feel like a traitor. :-\

I have to go and have a Lazer treatment to relieve pressure on my eye.  Tomorrow.  Sort of worried ad prone to bleeding and infectins.  So will trust things will stay okay and hope for a little prayer from CP is possible....Had to postpone this a couple of times due to health problems...no more excuses :-\

New 7th Heaven on tonight.  So few programs worth watching any more.  I tape the old movies, etc. and watch them when convenient.  What a vast wasteland on TV these days!

Must go now.  Pleasant dreams all and God Bless.

I'm here just for a moment.  The mechanic called today to tell me what I already knew -- my car needs a new cylinder head.   :-\  He has located a used one and it will be delivered Wednesday.  That tells me I'll be "home bound" for most of this week.  I'm thankful for so many things, though.

One~My Father kept track of me and where I was driving a couple months ago, and it was only here, close to home, that the car broke down.

Two~The mechanic looked for a used part FIRST and it is considerably less than a new one would be.  Father must've told him to do that.   :D

Three~I am ever so grateful for FRIENDS who respond to His voice and send blessings my way -- just in time!!  (You know who you are, and I thank you!)   :-*

Marilyn~I understand your situation -- Boy! Do I!!  But, we know Who knows, better than we do, just what we need.  He not only knows what we need but He has said He will supply ALL our needs.  I trust you will be feeling much better by morning.

I need to get some things taken care of, so I will leave all y'all for the night.  Take care, and keep looking up!

Good Tuesday Morning all.  I've been up since 2 AM, so here I am. :)  I went to bed at 10, and went right to sleep, so guess 4 hours was enuff.

Marilyn, it's so good to be revived and refreshed with a new feeling of God's love and power to change lives.  Isn't it?

I'm sitting here listening to Christian music on the internet.  I usually forget to do that......just playing cds instead.  It's nice.

I'll probably be back in later.

edit:  I was ready to start clicking on some Google Ads but they aren't there. hmmm.  Guess I'll open up IE and see if they are there then.

Nita, I heard you mention listening to Christian radio on the internet. I believe this new computer will allow me to do that, and was hoping someone could suggest a good website for me. I like contemporary gospel, southern gospel, and of course the wonderful hymns and beautiful Christian arrangements, too.

I think Pat mentioned a radio site, several months badk.

So, if y'all can supply me with some websites to tune in to, I would be quite appreciative.

Y'all have a good day with the Lord.

I was going to comment on a few things but I am not sleeping well and it affects my short-term memory.  We went to grandparent's day at school and that grandson did a terrific job of introducing us.

Pat:  Thanks for the music.  It is really amazing to listen to a song over the computer/internet.

Larry:  I hope be now that your arm is better and you are sleeping well.

We had extra time yesterday and stopped in a brand-new Goodwill Store - would you believe that I found a very heavy and sturdy table for my sewing machine for under $12.  For those who don't know, sewing tables are really really expensive.  This was a desk but will work perfectly.

Jane:  It sounds like you found a good mechanic!  That is so good all is working out for you.

Judy B:  I can't believe you have so many cats.  We don't have any little animals as there are fox in the area and coyotes as well.

I may try to go back to sleep - the treadmill exercise is over as I was downstairs before 4 A.M.

Hi Al,

As a photographer, I am always looking at light and shadow to see how it plays out in an image. This is one of my favorite verses because God is light. So since photography USED to be the capture of light on light sensitive material, when we make an image we are in effect taking His picture.

Now! If I could only become more of an image of Him!

Blessings to you all,

Monty

Ruth Ann  Here is our radio Station.   http://www.cjtk.com/    It is From Northern Ontario,  Also the cjtk stands for Christ Jesus The King, makes remembering easier.  There is music all afternoon, and evening.  I see others have a way of posting clickable URL's .  Pat can you fix this for me?

We have had rain and heavy winds all night.  it is still quite cold out.

About the cats.  When they are old enough they will be gone.  We will keep 2 outdoor cats and 2 indoor.  Living in the boonies of North Bay, with fields and bush around we really need the cats.  They seem to leave the birds alone too as they have adequate "ground" food.

Bonnie called me yesterday and asked me to take a loonie sized snapping turtle.  Now we already have a painted turtle, and I won't put the snapper with it but we have a stream that feeds into the South River on our property and she thought it would be kinder to let it loose near the river.  She found it at the university and was about to be stepped on.  At least this way it has a chance to live in its natural surroundings.

I have been asked to bake buttertarts for our meeting tomorrow, so I had better get going and start baking.

Have a good day
Judy

Ruth Ann my favorite radio station that keep on in my house and in my car is http://www.klove.com/ (http://www.klove.com/) contemporary music etc. I even leave it on in the house when I am not at home, I turn on the radio when I leave if it isn't already on.

Good Morning CP.I am feeling better this morning I  put a few drops of Tea tree Oil in about 1/4 glass of warm water and used it as a gargle. I went to This Web site (http://www.stretcher.com/stories/04/04dec20f.cfm) for information on Natural remedies, lots of good stuff there. Just enter what you are looking for in the search box and it will take you there.

Thank you  all for your prayers. Al I don't believe a word of it; that the garlic was my problem. ha ha.
Four more days and I will be in my new house. Hallelujah Then you and Marbeth can come by and see it and all the boxes and big plastic tubs sitting all over. You have to pass right by on your way into McVille, Just turn the corner at Park road and go to the eighth house where the big stump is in front.

Judy you can send some to me too.

I KNEW there was reason I got here today.  I picked up four new radio stations to listen to.  Thanks for the sites !!!!!

A Baker: Thanks for the prayer for the rest of us CP'ers.  I surely need that prayer today.  Isn't it nice to know and feel His presence !!!

REVIVAL:  John Maxwell once said that we need our own revival fire.  We go to a Revival, hear some excellent preaching and get we are warmed by the fire.  When we go away from it, the warmth goes away.

I likened it to a campfire in the winter....when we stand around it, we get so hot that we turn around and warm the other side.  But once we walk away from the fire we begin to cool off.  Pretty soon we no longer are as warm as we were.  We are back to being cold and need another fire to get warm by.  If we have that fire burning in us we are constantly warmed and never "cool off"

Ruth Ann -- I would recommend WMIT -- 106.9, The Light.  It is a radio ministry of the Billy Graham Evan. Association located here in WNC.  I htink the address is www.wmit.org (http://www.wmit.org)  they also have a sister station that plays southern gospel, but i'm not sure it is "on-line"

Hello to everyone else.  Just checking in to say hi!  I was sick yesterday -- yuck-- so didn't get into post.  Feeling some better today, though.

take care!!

Yes Suzanne I have tea tree oil and use it for many things. I had a sore spot under my lower plate and put it on my gum, put it on toenail fungus etc. Now gargled with it. Good stuff I highly recommend it.

Ah ha Al so you have already checked up on me. Yes it is a great yard.I look forward to doing more with it.

Karmat sorry to hear you were sick, take care of yourself girlfriend.

I need more boxes, I think I will go unpack some that are already over there later today as I take over another load this afternoon.

Praise the Saviour, Ye Who Know Him (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/acclaim.mid)
(Click to hear music)

We thank Thee,
and praise Thy glorious Name.
1 Chronicles 29:13

Words: Thomas Kelly
Music: Acclaim, traditional German melody

Praise the Savior, ye who know Him!
Who can tell how much we owe Him?
Gladly let us render to Him
All we are and have.

Jesus is the Name that charms us,
He for conflict fits and arms us;
Nothing moves and nothing harms us
While we trust in Him.

Trust in Him, ye saints, forever,
He is faithful, changing never;
Neither force nor guile can sever
Those He loves from Him.

Keep us, Lord, O keep us cleaving
To Thyself, and still believing,
Till the hour of receiving
Promised joys with Thee.

Then we shall be where we would be,
Then we shall be what we should be,
Things that are not now, nor could be,
Soon shall be our own.
