Morning Devotional...I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. Isaiah 6:8
The voice Isaiah heard came directly from the Lord upon the throne.
Isaiah's obedient response was the result of cleansed lips and a pure heart, and so with ears open to the Lord's voice, he was willing to do whatever the Lord asked.
Is sin hindering you from hearing God's Word and obeying it?
"If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 Jn. 1:9).
Get your heart clean today.
--Jim PaulHis ear hath heard the question, Who to the lost will go?
Send me, he cries, his sin purged lips with alter fire aglow;
I'll bear the living message, of free forgiving love
O let me win the wand'rers to the path that leads above.

I know I posted this morning....I know I did. But I didn't find my post.
I was watching TV in the afternoon and the next thing I know I was waking up around 6 p.m. That is why I am up now.....2:30 a.m.! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Not much to say except that I am thankful, too, that I have a car to put expensive gas into and a house that will take more money to heat this winter and clothes and food and running water and toilets.....BUT I still think it is price gouging....»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«

;D Thanks.... wow many nice pics
(1Jo 1:7) But if we live in the light---just as he is in the light---then we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from every sin.
I believe that, as stated above in 1John 1:7, we must have constant fellowship with one another, so that we can live in the light, just as HE is in the light.
There is so many dark things going on in this world that we live in and theres always someone out there to try and pressure you into the wrong direction. That's why it is so important to be in constant fellowship with one another.
It is also important to do what Mat 26:41 tell us: (Mat 26:41) Keep watch and pray that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."
Lord, please open our ears so that we can hear your voice and give us the strenght to do YOUR will, amen.
sorry that i have been mia i started a new job and so things are kinda busy here, hope all are doing well.
Nicely said, Frantz.
Last night, after being depressed all day, I realized that God is still in control, and He is still on the throne, and He is still love. Yes, the situation in the gulf right now is horrendous. No, I wouldn't want to change places with any of them. I think part of what help me "snap out of it" is that I realized that I am only one, but I am one. I could do something no matter how small, but it woudl be something. Unfortunately, I don't have millions to donate, and I cant' leave my kids to go work in relief efforts, but I can do small things. Pray (not a small thing), give a bit of my income, etc. Once I got that in place, I began to feel better.
Etta -- Yes, I'm thankful. But i still think it is gouging too! :)
Have a great day!
Good Morning: I almost forgot to post this morning. Thanks Pat for the devotional today. Thank you Jesus for the forgivenss of our sins.
I had a short conversation with Jenny this morning on IM. She is doing well and getting all set to move as well. Her son will be getting married next month, but has already moved out.
Hi Ruth Ann if you look in you are sure missed over on SN.
I will be back later. Need to get dressed now and get myself together for the day.
TTYL
Good morning, y'all. I've been ultra busy the last few days, so haven't been here. Sorry. I agree on the price gouging. The cost to the oil producers for oil hasn't risen one cent, but yet they have raised their prices horrendously. Pray that we soon get going with alternative energy sources, such as hydrogen.
Have any of you received an email from a Bennette Adelle, supposedly in Cote D'Ivore, Africa? She got my email address somehow and has sent an email pleading for help - money, shoes, pots, pans, etc., etc. I have to assume she came to CP because it's a Christian site, got my email address from it.
By the way, people, it's only a recommendation, but I'd recommend not giving to the disaster relief through Red Cross. They may be entirely above board, but I'm always a little dubious. The Southern Baptist Association is on the scene, will accept designated donations, and is doing all the same things Red Cross is supposedly doing.
Ohhh, it's so nice to see folks who haven't been here in awhile! Great to have you posting.
Al, these emails come all the time to me from Africa. They run rampant all through the internet. I pay no attention to them.
Karma, I know the feeling about helplessness! This is just such a helpless situation and yes, we can pray and pray and then we can pray some more.
Thanks for those thoughts today, Frantz. Much appreciated.

Good morning, folks, again. When I went to bed around 4 something, I still tossed and turned. Perhaps it is overload with news from Katrina. Maybe I should watch something different. My mind won't shut off after seeing all that disaster. I did see on local news that several are going down from Indiana...self-contained with water, sleeping bags, food and all. I can't imagine being a newscaster and seeing all that disaster and not sharing my food with them or water. Almost like the dying children in Africa and the commentator begging people to send money to save that childs life...when the person is well dressed and you know had their morning coffee and breakfast. Two well fed people there...the commentator and the camera man. Oh, well....my take and I am probably totally wrong but you never know where your money is going if you send it to help anyone. You have to trust your gut instincts. Pray to God....He will tell you what to do.
No, Pat, I found that one....but I thought I posted around 9 a.m. yesterday...one without my animations other than my signature. I went to my profile and checked my last posts but it was to be found....cyberspace was hungry!!
Here are a couple of links that have places to help. I think that hte Red Cross is on both of them, but htere are others as well. I recommend Samaritan's Purse (Franklin Graham) for one.

I would recommend Samaritan's Purse too, Karma. They do a great work in situations such as this.

TBear, I didn't make the signature...well, not literally. I think I made it from a website. I didn't even remember it until I searched and found it in My Documents. If I find the website I will send the link to you.
Hi all y-all I am off early and about to leave to go get these fingernails taken off. Then I will be saving at least that much per month to go into the bank.
Be back later
I GOT IT!!! Here I am on my brand new computer! ;D And I only have 560 emails to weed out. :-\ But I am so happy to be back online on my own machine!
I would recommend Operation Blessing (from the 700 Club) as a very good one to donate to for disaster relief, too.
My new little kitty likes to climb up my bare legs, and do I have lots of scratches! Ouch! She is getting the dogs put in their places, and the old cat just looks at her, then walks off as if to say, "Well, YOU'RE not so much!"
I am trying to get lots of stuff done, but need to go delete a bunch more of those emails. See you later!
Glad for you, Janet that you have your new computer! Great work!

My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods;
with singing lips my mouth will praise you.
Psalm 63:5
Luther B. Bridges, 1884-1948
There's within my heart a melody
Jesus whispers sweet and low,
Fear not, I am with thee, peace, be still,
In all of life's ebb and flow.
Refrain
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,
Sweetest Name I know,
Fills my every longing,
Keeps me singing as I go.
All my life was wrecked by sin and strife,
Discord filled my heart with pain,
Jesus swept across the broken strings,
Stirred the slumbering chords again.
Refrain
Feasting on the riches of His grace,
Resting 'neath His sheltering wing,
Always looking on His smiling face,
That is why I shout and sing.
Refrain
Though sometimes He leads through waters deep,
Trials fall across the way,
Though sometimes the path seems rough and steep,
See His footprints all the way.
Refrain
Soon He's coming back to welcome me,
Far beyond the starry sky;
I shall wing my flight to worlds unknown,
I shall reign with Him on high.
Refrain

The Red Cross took a severe hit during 9/11 They said they were going to put those donations in the general fund to be used for all needs. The media got hold of the plan and soon the Red Cross agreed to use all donations rec'd because of 9/11 towards 9/11.
I, too, have reservations with the Red Cross. An incident to a fellow soldier left me with a bad taste in my mouth. BUT I am sure that they are on the level, someone just made a bad decision about 9/11 funds. To their credit they reversed themselves.
A Christian based organization is the best choice for me.
I agree with that, Eddie! By the way, it's always so good to see you here.

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee.
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.
Refrain:
Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy Faithfulness, Lord unto me.
Summer and winter and spring-time and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.
Refrain
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide,
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

I was glad to see all those big military vehicles rolling into New Orleans today. The situation there is still horrible but at least we are beginning to see some action.
Al, I wouldn't agree with you about the Red Cross. They do a great job setting up feeding stations, helping to take care of people who are in distress. For some 40 years I gave blood through the red cross. When I was in the hospital very sick it was the Red Cross who supplied blood for the six transfusions I needed. There are, of course, many other organizations who do work to help in disasters. I noticed that President Bush mentioned the Red Cross and the Salvation Army as good opportunities for our giving.
We have two great organizations who help in times of need in Nashville., Helping Hands International, which supplies all kinds of help overseas and Disaster Relief of churches of Christ here in Nashville which sends truck loads of assistance when disasters strike. This Sunday a special contribution is being taken up at our church and all of the money will go to help in this particular disaster.
Isn't is wonderful that caring people all over this country do care and want to come to the aid of these people who have lost their homes and who are hungry and thirsty and tired and sick. It breaks my heart as I see the tremendous suffering. God help us to care and to show our love especially in these times of great need.
I John 3:16-18
16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.
17 If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?
18 Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. (NIV)
Papa John <;D)))><<
Yes, Papa John, it sure is wonderful.
Thanks for sharing the great scripture verses again. They are so apt for today!
Well, it's time to lock the door. I hope to go to bed earlier tonight. I'm so very tired.
