Morning Devotional...Be of good courage.Psalm 31:24
Joshua was exhorted, "Be thou strong and very courageous" and here the psalmist encourages his readers in much the same way.
Today there are many challenges, bad news to be received, rejection to be faced and lonely paths to be trod. In such circumstances we are not really alone because we can rely on the presence of the Lord who Himself trod these paths.
And brighter days will come, because His comfort illuminates the darkest experiences.
Therefore, be of good courage, take heart, go on. The Lord is for you!
—Roy Hill God is my strong salvation;
what foe have I to fear?
In darkness and temptation,
my light, my help, is near;
Though hosts encamp around me,
firm in the fight I stand;
What terror can confound me,
with God at my right hand?
J. Montgomery
The words of this hymn have been precious to me this evening...

Jesus Wondrous Saviour! (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/franconia_hastings.mid)
(Click to hear music)
Jesus, wondrous Savior! Christ, of kings the King!
Angels fall before Thee, prostrate worshipping;
Fairest they confess Thee in the Heav'n above.
We would sing Thee fairest here in hymns of love.
Fairer far than sunlight unto eyes that wait
Amid fear and darkness, 'til the morning break;
Fairer than the day-dawn, hills and dales among,
When its tide of glory wakes the tide of song.
Sweeter far than music quivering from keys
That unbind all feeling with strange harmonies.
Thou art more and dearer than all minstrelsy;
Only in Thy presence can joy's fullness be.
All earth's flowing pleasures were a wintry sea,
Heav'n itself without Thee dark as night would be.
Lamb of God! Thy glory is the light above.
Lamb of God! Thy glory is the life of love.
Life is death if severed from Thy throbbing heart.
Death with life abundant at Thy touch would start.
Worlds and men and angels all consist in Thee:
Yet Thou camest to us in humility.
Jesus! All perfections rise and end in Thee;
Brightness of God's glory Thou, eternally,
Favored beyond measure they Thy face who see;
May we gracious Savior, share this ecstasy.

I enjoyed the devotional Pat. Sometimes it is hard to have courage when the storms of life hit, and sometimes like a hurricane. That is when we need to have our anchor in the Solid Rock.
Kassie called me to look out onto our field a bit ago. Shrouded in mist were deer. We could see the outline of 3, I am sure there were more. It is so awesome to see them so close. Hunting days are coming, a little dangerous for them.
Well time to make lunches. Bye for now.
Judy
Good Morning Everyone!
It was raining most of the night but the sun is shining now. Looks like a lovely day here.
I must go out for a walk and see how I manage with these knees. The "Jack Scott Memorial Hike" is on Saturday and I'd sure like to do the whole thing like I did last year.
What are you going to take a photo of today?
Too bad you didn't have a camera handy, Judy, to capture the deer.
Good Morning Pat and Judy and any one else who is a wake now. I slept very well last night and feel rested this morning.
Nothing new here yet today. So I will come back when I have something to say.
TTYL
Marilyn, are you working today?
Good morning! It is sprinkling rain here today, a real blessing.
JudyB, the deer picture you described, I can see in my mind's eye.
Liz, what a wonderful thing---a Spiritual Maintenance Room! Thanks so much for sharing that.
I want to go measure Beth's living room windows. I took down her drapes and threw them in the trash! So I think I better get those windows covered again. I'm not working out there today, I have a dental appointment this morning, then our ladies' meeting at lunch, and need to do some "maintenance" on my own house.
Beth will be home a week from today, I hope we are done with her house in time! :-\
We were talking last night about how much junk we have gotten rid of from Beth's house and garage, and we estimate at least a thousand pounds. :o I was thinking of that because it is Flylady's Super Fling Boogie month. ;D
I need to get busy and make a list so I don't have to make any extra trips to town. I'm trying to conserve on gas.
Talk to you all later!
Good morning from the left side.
I think I slept well, but just not for very long. :) I finally got up at 4:30 am. I've showered, had my coffee, and am ready to do some Bible reading before I get dressed and head to a women's group this am.
I haven't been using my c-pap machine at night because my mouth gets so dry. I started using it again a couple of days ago. I noticed I wasn't so tired yesterday. I know I must need it or doctor wouldn't have wanted me to have one. Ya think?
I'm ordering a humidifier when I find out if my insurance will reimburse. I think that'll make a lot of difference. It connects to the machine and allows some warm moisture.
Oh, Pat. I really received the words of your devotional this morning. I still can't seem to listen to midis. I need to figure this out so that I can enjoy them with everyone else.
Have a blessed day everyone. nita
Pat I am working today two jobs as usual 4 days of the week. Then 3 jobs 1 day per week on Thursdays. Fri and Sat. 1 job.
Will be leaving for my Tai Chi class in a just a bit after I get Happy back in the house and brushed off. Lots of grass cuttings on his fur.
TTYL
Good morning! I have been awake since very early this morning, too. No reason except I just have been. ;)
Nita, I thought I would be going to that womens meeting today, too, but I am still without transportation, so I guess I don't need to be there after all.
I am expecting to get my car today, for sure! But if God doesn't want that then I'm content with His will.
I just might get busy and do some "maintenance" around here --- but don't hold me to that 'cuz I just might not too! ;)
I'm off to fix some breakfast and read a while ... I'll talk atcha later. Jane

I decided I do have time right now. I have been way to busy at the computer...uploading pictures, enhancing pictures, printing, etc. Must quit that. I sure don't want to go back to the Pain Management doctor like I did almost two years ago. My neck starts hurting after I am on here for a time.
Just know that I have read all your notes and responded to them in my mind with prayers, praises and laughter when appropriate. /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\

Fantabulous photos, ETTA SUE!! That new camera is awesome. ;D
Nice photos, Etta Sue!
Janet, you deserve a medal for all the work you've done in Beth's house.
Jane, did you get your car? Sounds like me last year when I needed a new cylinder head. Had no idea how I was going to pay for it but the Lord knew. And He provided the funds.
Etta Sue I love the pics of the cats. Your cats as well as the animated cats.
Keep me in your prayers this aft and evening. I am dealing with a difficult situation.
John has the camera in the truck with him. Even so they were too far away to actually capture on a picture.
Back later
Judy
I am back from lunch...Chinese...but forgot where I was on the net.
So thanks for the compliments on the pics and the camera, Jane, Judy B and Pat!!

I just called the mechanic and he said my car should be ready later today "unless we run into problems." I laughed and commented "We've already done that a couple times, haven't we?" Not only did this entail a new cylinder head but also shift cables ... the problem there was found only when they'd removed the old cylinder head. I'm so thankful that my Father knew there was a potentially dangerous situation and protected me. The funds are another thing, but He knows about that, too. I trust Him.
I have been home about an hour, I am doing versal's laundry tody the second load is ready for the dryer but the first is not dry yet. I ahve moved a buch of stuff out to the side of the house for Pick-up by St. Vincent DePaul next thursday and Added more to the pile. I am getting it don't little by little.
Good work with your new camera Etta Sue. I need to get out with my camera again before the weather gets bad again.
Jane I do not envy your car problems I have been there and done that too many times with the old car.

Just got the call from the repair shop ... "Tomorrow afternoon" is the latest verdict. :-\ He says it's almost done, but not quite! So.... another day without wheels.
Ohhh, Jane. How exasperating! Oh well, tomorrow will be the day!

He Lifted Me (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/heliftedme_spec.mid)
(Click to hear music)
Words and Music by Charles H. Gabriel
"For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Titus 3:3-5
In loving kindness Jesus came,
My soul in mercy to reclaim,
And from the depths of sin and shame
Thro' grace He lifted me.
Refrain
From sinking sand, He lifted me,
With tender hand, He lifted me,
From shades of night to planes of light,
O praise His name, He lifted me!
He called me long before I heard,
Before my sinful heart was stirred,
But when I took Him at His Word,
Forgiv'n He lifted me.
Refrain
From sinking sand, He lifted me,
With tender hand, He lifted me,
From shades of night to planes of light,
O praise His name, He lifted me!
His brow was pierced with many a thorn,
His hands by cruel nails were torn,
When from my guilt and grief forlorn,
In love He lifted me.
Refrain
From sinking sand, He lifted me,
With tender hand, He lifted me,
From shades of night to planes of light,
O praise His name, He lifted me!

HEH!!!! I uninstalled and deleted every mention of Quicktime from my computer, and guess what.........I'll tell you.......I was able to hear the midi for this song. Finally. It opened in my mplayer and just played away. :)
But........I can't remember what program it is right now, but I have this nagging feeling that I do need Quicktime for one of them. Oh well, I still have the set up. I just don't like it trying to take over when I have all the options unchecked.
Etta Sue, you're having so much fun with your camera. The ones of the kitties are great.
Jane, remember how long it took for them to get my car done? I thought I'd never get it back. Think of all the gas money you're saving. :
Time for supper. Guess I'll go have a look-see and decide what sounds good. Right now I think a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup, in a mug, sounds good. Cornbread and milk sounds good, but then I'd have to cook. haha
blessings.
Oh.......some people can be so rude...and sadly they are passing the traits on to their little ones. I won't say any more...I am just thankful that it doesn't apply to anyone here!
Lovely cats EttaSue!
Pat, I apologize. I noticed quite some time ago that the google ads were missing and yet failed to notice until today that you have a donation clickable through paypal now instead. Tisn't much, but I sent!
Marilyn, how nice that the electrician was able to help you get your cabinets inside. I trust that the unpacking is coming along nicely? Are your babies adapting well?
Must get the rest of my laundry done.
Sue
I didn't cook either, my friend. I made a tuna and egg sandwich and cooked the last of the cauliflower off the head that needed to be used. My, goodness, I'm really full.
I'm very tired, but then I worked about 11 hours trying to get ready for the meeting next week.
That being the case, I'll shut down shortly and head to bed.
Y'all have a great day with our Lrod.
Ruth Ann
Hi, Ruth Ann. haha. Yesterday I had two tuna and egg sandwiches. Of course, diced onion and pickle too. :) Hope you get some good rest, honey.
Help! I was trying to delete a picture from my gallery and am not allowed to. I'm logged in. I tried using both browsers but got the same error message that I did not have permission (or something like that). Any clues?
Hi everyone. This day has really gone by quickly and it about bedtime so will make this short tonight. After coffee and I had to see my urologist. He was very pleased with the PSA and feels the cancer has been killed. I have my one year PSA test in December and don't have to go back to see him until April of next week. I came home and took a nap and then took my daughter to visit a friends, since she can't drive now. By the time I got back ti was suppertime and then just got back from choir.
Etta Sue, those were lovely photos. Looks like you have a winner with the camera.
Jane, you have probably saved quite a bit on gas cost with your car in the garage. The price of gas has gone up ten cents each day this week and is now back to $3 per gallon. We are trying to combine trips and plan more carefully.
I have read all the postings but too tired to try to make individual responses tonight. Tomorrow we will be gone all morning and won't be home until 2 pm or after as we have 4 more hours of the defensive driving course and then it will be finished. We are taking our daughter to school and going on to the class from there.
Good evening. I am just back from church and am tired, even though I didn't work today. I think the past three weeks are catching up to me. Darrel isn't feeling well, either. But---- tomorrow is a brand new day! :D
Abby's Great-Grandma passed away last night. (Her Dad's Grandma) so we have a funeral to attend on Friday. We have known Grandma Barriclow ever since Diane and Jeff married. This is the third grandparent, plus his Dad, that Jeff has lost since that time. I am so glad Jeff walks with the Lord! (This is not the grandma who was 100 years old in June---she is still going strong! In fact, she asked if she could cook dinner for Jeff's family on Sunday, because the boys will be home. As Etta Sue says, I wanna be like her when I grow up! ;)
Etta Sue, good pics from the new camera! It even got the details on black Inky, not an easy task. Have fun taking more!
I need to work on getting some pages done for my Thailand album, as I have been asked to speak to the Kiwanis club in Hugoton about that trip. Thought it would be nice to have some photos. (But I only have around a thousand... :-\)
I'm feeling sort of "down" this evening; but I think it's just because of being so tired. I will feel better tomorrow!
Hi, Nita! Hi, Ruth Ann! I had to chuckle when I read about your tuna and egg sandwiches, because Darrel knows someone who says if you eat tuna and eggs together, it will poison you! ;) (Are you feeling okay ??? hehehehe)
Hi Folks Here is a song we sang in church a couple of weeks ago. Pat is it possible to get the midi for it?
Everlasting
Psalm 90
From everlasting to everlasting you are God.
From everlasting to everlasting you are God.
In holiness you stand secure through cultures shifting sands
Unchanged by all the vanities of man
And as the nations rise and fall your soverignity remains
You are You are You are the One True God
From everlasting to everlasting you are God.
From everlasting to everlasting you are God.
In faithfulness your love extends through times of turbulence
Adopting those who call upon your name
And every generation joins in songs of greatful praise
You ara You are YOu are the One True God
Eternal Immortal Invisible God
Eternal Immortal Invisible God
Integrity Hosanna Music
As we go through the trials and discouragements of life we can rest on the fact that He is God, the One True God.
I am struggling with a headache tonight so I am heading too bed.
Night all
It is raining cats and dogs here so tonight I won't put out the cat!!
But it is time to lock this door and open another door here. (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=4868.msg90163#msg90163)
