Morning Devotional...He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection. Acts 17:18
In today's so-called "multi-faith society," always remember that the great distinguishing factor of our faith is Jesus and the resurrection.
The resurrection of Christ was the main theme in the Acts of the Apostles.
A living Saviour makes Christianity unique, and those of us who believe have the reality of a Man in heaven, who can be approached, and who can help and guide us every moment of every day.
Ultimately He is prepared to share His home with us.
What a blessed faith and a wonderful anticipation!
--Brian Russell
Believers, bless your risen Head,
The first-begotten from the dead,
Your resurrection's sure thro' His,
To endless life and boundless bliss.
Wow Pat you have closed the 12th very early tonight. Or is it closed? Well here i am thanking you for the devotion. This devotion bring to my mind a statement of one of the sunday school teacher when I was down south.
If this is a Christian nation why are there so many worshiping other gods instead of the one and only God.
Sorry no offense is mean toward anyone. How wonderful that we know THE Savior.
Hi Marilyn...
I'm just in from London and have one huge swollen jaw that is throbbing. I had to pull over to the side of the road a couple of times on my journey home so I was chatting to Janet on MSN and told her that I thought I should get into bed.
So, that's why.
Just keep on posting here, Marilyn.
I'll catch up with everyone tomorrow after the pain meds work.
I just sent Pat to bed with a pain pill and an ice pack for her fat jaw! I hope she can rest tonight. That must be so trying, having that long drive in heavy traffic after getting the dental work done. :'(
Marilyn, good to see you! How is your knot on your head? :-\
GO TO BED PAT
try to get relief from the pain and rest for your tired self.
We'll be here to morrow
Thanks again for the help in my letter writing.
Hi Janet and Kathy.
The knot on my head has gone down, I put ice on it and there is no pain but I know it's there.
Well things are back to normal with Bea so I will go back to work at the other place on Monday. May God's grace go with me, I pray that I will have the favor of god as I go there. Bea's hours have been increased but I don't know by how many yet. Not until the middle of next week. Then I will know if I can quite the other job. I am thinking heavily on quitting, like I said before I ain't gonna be nobody's door mat.
Just stopping in to say good night but according to the topic, it is good morning.
I have read everyone's posts. I think I am going to bed, too, even though I don't have a sore jaw....but I do have a book I can read. ::)
Might as well do this tonight and won't do it in the morning. Will be here for those across the pond.

Etta Sue - what an excellent prayer from the little boy! Good for thinking about as I go to bed tonight.
Ruth Ann
I just got the water going only to find out there is a leak in the pump. I tightened the screw and hope that is the problem. I turned on the switch and the pump didn't start. That may mean it is up to go or it could mean a fuse or switch problem. At least I have been able to flush the toilets. Please pray that I get it going right.
John and his mom have headed south to Guelph. He has to teach an course tomorrow. so if there are problems that I can't fix I am out of luck until he gets home tomorrow night.
I have a quiet day ahead of me which will be nice. Kassie is the only one home the other two are at Bonnie's home for the night as I didn't have a car to pick them up. They will enjoy being with Victor and Drake. I will enjoy some one on one with Kassie.
Janet amd Marilyn I do agree with you about the "other gods" that our nations worship. It is bad, I met a gentleman on the grocery store and he had the neatest cap. It said on the front "King of Kings" and on the back was an empty cross. I commented on the cap and he said that it wouldn't be long before we see Him. I don't know about the rest of you but Isure long for that day? Lets make sure we worship the resurrected Saviour, and no other god but Him.
I am listening to a tribute to Johnny Cash tonight as I sit here. He is with our Lord Praise God.
Well night all. (morning to some)
God Bless you all
Love JudyB
hi Pat:
Hope you feel better in the morning. I will be praying for you.
Ruthie
Pat I have sent you an email Please check you mail. OK

FROM ACROSS THE "POND" re Etta Sue.
Good morning all. It is nice to see some others here Etta Sue, Judy, Pat,Janet, Pat, Ruth Ann and Marilyn and Ruthie....This is a good idea. Sure seems lonely on here sometimes!
Pat I do hope that your jaw feels better today....I know the feeling as I was at the dentist on Thursday and she did all that needed doing, so that I didn't get time for another panic attack in between sessions!......Thank-God I was able to have a taxi home and Chris came with me.
I saw one of the Dental Receptionists out in the precinct yesterday afternoon and Michelle was telling me that some patients cry and some walk out.....I was a good girl then!......THAT'S A CHANGE!., Don't know if I told you that I was a dental nurse years ago. I lived with my grandmother for a time in Keelby village, Lincolnshire. I worked for a dentist in Grimsby and I loved it. Especially the busy gas sessions on Thursdays when all the deep sea fishermen seemed to come to have tooth extractions., They do two weeks away on trawlers and then have a time at home. Gosh the smell of fish on them....(I had to wipe a few wet seats I can tell you and it wasn't water folks).Gas isn't used by dentists now, too many errors. Grimsby is a fishing port on the river Humber opposite to Hull which is a bigger port in Yorkshire......Ken will know this.
Oh by the way, KEN WHERE ARE YOU? Best wishes to you and Margaret. Pop and see us again soon.
It is very cold this morning but sunny and dry. I intend to do some jobs here and then later on pop out on my "chariot" and see what's happening around the park.
Marilyn please give my love and prayers to Bea for her and Sherry.
Mieka...I looked for you on here just now...We've missed each other this time...Lots of love and {{{HUGS}}} for you, little sweetheart.
Iain I am still praying for you and hope your pain is eased. God Bless dear Brother, love to Ann and the girls also.
Judy, I hope the "!water" gets sorted....
Have a blessed time "In the Lord" this weekend dear Ones.
Lots of love,
Jenny.
9.30 a.m.
By the way...................Look for Christophers Thank-you.
CHRISTOPHER SAYS THANK-YOU FOR PRAYERS
See his post on "Prayers" ENTERED on 12th Sept. Page 1 at the moment .He was so thankful to you all during those difficult months and asked to come on and convey his feelings....so if you have time pop along and read his comments!
Jenny.

Anyway, I hope and pray that you will all enjoy a blessed and fruitful weekend. May the Lord of all comfort reign in your souls.
It's blowing a hooligan here today. Seems we go straight from summer to winter - autumn! (Fall)
'And God remembered Noah......'
Genesis 8:1

Remember me Lord with that love which thou to thine dost bear; with thy salvation, O my God to visit me draw near. (Psalm 106 Verse 4). That verse is never too far from my lips especially when I may be feeling down and feeling that God has forgotten me.
I wonder did Noah experience this?
We are not told if the Lord had told him how long he was going to have to endure in the Ark and possibly as the weeks went past he may have started to wonder. Remember he was just like you and I with the same failings.
God 'remembering' made me think.
It is an awful feeling to feel abandoned, forsaken and forgotten by God. It seems to occur when afflictions drag on seemingly without end. I wonder if his family started to put pressure on him to open the Ark?
Sometimes it can be those nearest and dearest to us that seem to add to our affliction, often unaware that they are doing so.
Like the carnal mind the raven wallowed amongst that which was unclean. It was happy to have a foot in either camp. Feeding on the floating carcases one minute then returning to the safety of the Ark the next for rest.
Desiring the benefits of being a Christian yet not wanting to carry the burden of affliction and embarrassment that accompanies the name is a common position in our day.
'I do good works and I do not offend my neighbour so God will not turn me away from Heaven!' 'In fact there are many who are a lot worse than I am and I am better than most Christians that I know!' Does that sound like someone you know?
Ravens!!
Just a note here regarding the Christian life and affliction.
It is often the case that rather than there being a sudden or conclusive end to our afflictions they tend to come to an end gradually. The waters that covered the earth did not disappear overnight. They drained slowly away over a period of time.
I have often found myself in that 'no man's land' where the affliction I had experienced is not as painful as it once had been yet it has not been completed removed. Hope some folk can follow me here. Back pain for instance may ease from its severity for a while, the pain becoming less acute. Easier but not removed!
Our prayers seeking an instant and effective deliverance are often answered in ways beyond our imagination. Deliverance may come, yet not in the way we had planned.
My soul delighted in the way Noah puts forth his hand and pulls the dove into the safety of the Ark. There are times when having gone astray somewhat letting my mind float amidst that which is unclean, I have been most grateful to a loving Saviour for pulling me back to the safety of Himself.
There was a day when I was quite at home in my carnality but not anymore. It leaves a bitter taste in my mouth and it holds no attraction for me.
We have so much to thank our God for each day and Noah was not slow when he prepared his altar. God is well pleased with a thankful heart and daily we should count our blessings.
Noah experienced two deliverances. The first from the terrible Judgement, when he found sanctuary in the Ark, and the second from the Ark itself. Our safety is found in Jesus Christ. He is our Ark, our Redeemer, our Friend.
If today we are facing difficulties and trials then we can be assured that our Lord is with us. He remembers us at all times.
Listen to what David experienced:-
'The troubles that afflict the just
in number many be;
But yet at length out of them all
The Lord doth set him free.'
Psalm 34 Verse 19
LOL
Your brother in Christ
Iain
Iain we Europeans are not late but the the Canadian
and American are early
Have a good weekend
Love Ria
It seems I was just here. Well, good morning to you all across the pond!!!!! Great to greet you early in your morning and now later in your morning. I will have to try it again sometime.
It is hazy today so far. The sun is shining but through a haze. Lots of moisture out there called dew. I walked to the mailbox twice already.....to get the paper. While reading it, I noticed it was today's paper. I just started getting this paper and didn't realize that delivery on Saturday is early....the rest is in the afternoon. So I walked out and got yesterdays and I am sooooo glad I opened it up. Mr. Spider had taken up residence in the folded paper. A big one, too! He was crawling across the road the last I saw of him. It is a little nippy out there....69°F...my kind of weather.
And, you guessed it, today is the day to mow the grass again!!!!!
Thank you, Iain, for the belated birthday greeting. That is okay. My brother, SIL, sister and I went out to eat for my birthday last evening. Birthday was Monday. Just makes celebrating that much longer. ::) Also thank you for the great devotion.
God bless all of you and have a great day!!!!
Good Morning it is 7:45 a.m. here on the North Coast which is also called the Lost Coast. Guess what, I have found 1 small evidence that there was a rat in my kitchen last night. I had 2 tomatoes on a plate on the counter, 1 is missing with small shreds of it left on the floor by the heater vent and the other was on the floor in the dining room with big chunks eaten out of it. I think it is coming in through the heater vent in the kitchen.
The grill is very easy to lift and in the evening I hear noises in there but when I go to look I can't find anything. Happydog also goes in and lays on the floor with his nose on the grill and then goes out side to the same area where the grill is and barks and paws at the skirting. I will tell the landlord today.
Today I am cleaning my house and doing my laundry. Judy Did you get your pump going? I remember what that is like as the pump quit on me in the desert and I was 2 days without water.
Well I will return later.
Pat S: I hope that your jaw ache is over today.
Marilyn: A bump on your head - and a critter in your kitchen!. Enough!
In the middle of the night, Don got out of bed to use the bathroom and tripped and fell jamming his poor little finger that just had surgery 5 weeks ago. We think it is going to be alright and not broken but neither of us slept well - he then loaded with pain killers. Every instant I was awake, I kept praying for that finger not to be so damaged that he would have surgery again. Just exhausted after the traumatic time.
Judy: I hope that your pump is not too damaged.
Carol
Marilyn needs a cat. Maybe that big one that Chris (I think) posted in the pet challenge. You know the one, the one with all the hair around his head. ;)
Just a note to any members of DPC (Digital Photography Forums), there is a thread going right now called "What is Missing in the Freedom challenge." It has been sidetracked from the original issue and has discussed whether "religion" is freedom or the opposite, and as these things often happen, has digressed into how all other religions, except Christianity are open and free. etc. etc. Such is life I suppose.
Beautiful Saturday. Wish I was out taking pictures, but there are other things I need to do right now!
take care
karmat
Etta Sue that was nice about the pray of a little boy
But when my son was a little boy he must pray before
he was going to bed. H was i think 3 years old.
And he started
Lord i go sleep
I am tired
i close my eyes
Lord hold also this night
About Marcel good the watch
But on a day he started
Lord i go sleep
i am tired but then he say i must go sleep from my mom but i am not tired.
And what must i then say
it was making me laughing.
But i say Marcel you must pray because you must go sleep.
That i remember me when you are writing about a boy
his pray.
Bye for now Ria
Good Morning Everyone...
I had a nice long sleep. I've been up for awhile but had some other things I had to do before coming here this morning.
My jaw isn't as swollen today but just a little sore so the ice and pain meds worked.
Thanks for all the nice thoughts.
I'll be back a little later. I want to go and see if there are any blackberries in the garden that I can have for my "brunch".
Ria, I hasd a real giggle over your story about Marcel. Aren't children funny? There used to a program on TV called Children say the funniest things (I think that was the name) and it was so funny to watch. I think Art Linkletter had since died, but sometimes you csn see the reruns.
Pat I am glad you had a good rest. when there is pain it is often hard to sleep. Take care.
Well just popped in to check the comments. I have 3 baskets of beans to freeze so have to go.
HAve a good day all and God bless
Love Judy
Hi Judy...
Yes, sleep does wonders!
I didn't know that Art Linkletter had died. I saw him on TV not too long ago and in his 90's. That was a great program for sure.
Do you "french cut" your green beans?
I did a bit of internet research and it appears Art Linkletter is still alive. While looking around at various sites, I noticed a quote from him about the most interesting interviews and he said he enjoyed interviewing youngsters and elders because the young were't always aware of what they were saying and that the elders didn't CARE what they said! <grin>
Now, if I can just live long enought to get that old...
Ruth Ann
6p.m.
Thank-you Iain.....That was a lovely devotional..I never thought about the others wanting to get out of the ark...I can just imagine Mrs. Noah having a nag at Mr. Noah...."Get me out of here, I'm a Celebrity"...Oh I couldn't resist that one!
I certainly would have wanted out as soon as poss. Claustrophobia.....It's bad enough for me in a taxi. (Cab).
At just the right moment I believe, God brought them onto dry ground and put the rainbow in the sky.....I wish a Rainbow for you Iain and for all of you dear Ones.
I hope the "Hooligan" has died off now Iain...Is that the origin of the word?
Etta Sue...Good afternoon....It's tea time here or evening dinner, depending what you like to eat and when....
Glad you feel better Pat.
Hope your head is better also Marilyn...My cats left a dead mouse in the garden today. Poor little thing I've just done the burial in the dog's bin...Usually if I can I chase the cats off as they are only little field mice but the cats do get rats from the allotments sometimes. They kill them and leave them at the door...Horrible!!! HORRIBLE TEETH!!!
Hi Ria.....(Did you give your Father my message?), Carol, Karmat, and Judy ( I love beans too. Are they French or kidney?)
I've just got back from the precinct. It's so nice I thought I'd have a run up there...and of course I chatted here and there......Had a chuckle with the butcher as we all do.
I am hungry now so as Chris is out tonight I will have a hunt around for something tasty...I just can't decide what!!!
Love you all.
Blessings in Jesus' Name for the weekend.
Jenny.
Hi Jenny...
Hope you had something nice for your tea! What about a treacle butty???
Judy yes i also was laughing when he was praying and he say that.
Sometimes i say to my mother i wish that he was great
but she say to me:
Little children little worry's
But great children great worry's
And that is Thrue
I never forget that
Bye Ria ;)
QuoteFrom Iain...
There was a day when I was quite at home in my carnality but not anymore. It leaves a bitter taste in my mouth and it holds no attraction for me.
Oh, Iain, how I pray that this would be the way for all of us who call ourselves "Christians". Oh that we would experience a bitter taste in our mouths when we partake of the evils of the world.
It reminds me of the hymn...
Nearer, Still Nearer (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/nearerStillNearer.mid)
(Click to hear music)
My soul follows close behind You;
Your right hand upholds me.
Psalm 63:8 NKJV
Author: Lelia N. Morris, 1862-1929
Musician: Lelia N. Morris, 1862-1929
Nearer, still nearer, close to Thy heart,
Draw me, my Savior—so precious Thou art!
Fold me, oh, fold me close to Thy breast.
Shelter me safe in that "Haven of Rest";
Shelter me safe in that "Haven of Rest."
Nearer, still nearer, nothing I bring,
Naught as an offr'ing to Jesus, my King;
Only my sinful, now contrite heart.
Grant me the cleansing Thy blood doth impart.
Grant me the cleansing Thy blood doth impart.
Nearer, still nearer, Lord, to be Thine!
Sin, with its follies, I gladly resign,
All of its pleasures, pomp and its pride,
Give me but Jesus, my Lord, crucified.
Give me but Jesus, my Lord, crucified.
Nearer, still nearer, while life shall last.
Till safe in glory my anchor is cast;
Through endless ages ever to be
Nearer, my Savior, still nearer to Thee;
Nearer, my Savior, still nearer to Thee!

In response to a few of our members requesting this, we've created a new board in our Photography category entitled, Techniques and Critiques (http://christianphotographers.com/yabbse/index.php?board=34).
Some of us might like to get an opinion of a photo before submitting it to a contest or other type of show and so here's where you can get the opinion of others.
JudyB--Art Linkletter is alive and well, and still gives us a great laugh when we see him on TV. He is well up in years now, though, but still seems to be enjoying good health. He is a real icon!
Ria, I loved your little boy's prayer. They are so sweet in their innocence. Wouldn't it be nice if they could stay so innocent? But then I guess they wouldn't be able to defend themselves in this world.
Iain, I do hope you are pain free today! We appreciate you so much.
Hi Pat! Feeling better now? :) :D :-*
Hello Jenny, Marilyn, Carol (I sure hope your husband's poor little finger is okay!), Etta Sue, Ruth Ann, and Karma!
Karma, isn't it disgusting how liberals try to hijack every discussion and turn it to their own ends? >:(
Mieka, where are you? And Papa John?
:) A good day to all!
Iian, you had me looking up that raven in the Bible right away. I was wondering why I hadn't noticed that before. I can picture the ark now with the opening in the top for the raven to come and go.
Thanks for the thoughtful devotional.
By the way...keep the hooligan across the lake.
Ria..That was so sweet of your son. His prayers are right from his heart. No pretense with children and that is good.
Judy, I know about having to prime the pump and not having water. What a mess! I hope things are better now and you have water. One Sunday we had invited about 50 for a picnic dinner to celebrate my mother-in-law's 90th birthday...Well, the pump broke and I had to still fry chicken. Can you imagine what a mess especially since we were hosting the whole thing. My husband found a pump and spent the whole day trying to put it on. In the meantime, we had a picnic (it was an inside deal) and only had 2 bathrooms in the house. No way to flush toilets. Needless to say, I sent all males to the woods. (we live out in the country) I was prepared with the paper plates and cups and everybody had a good time anyway. But my stress level was higher than normal.
I wish for you a cat, Marilyn. I have both cat & dog and they do fine together. Then, of course, there are these things that you plug into your electric sockets to keep away the rodents, etc. I have those and they seem to work.
I am glad to see Pat online with her new notice and one of my favorite songs.
Janet, I am here every day. Sometimes I just like to read the posts and do not feel like I have much of interest to add.
Last night in our daily Bible reading we finished the book of Daniel. So much of the book especially in the first chapters seem so clear but then later there are difficult Passages. In Dan 12:8 - - - I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, "My lord, what will the outcome of all this be?"
I told Cornelia when we had finished the reading that there is a lot I hear but do not understand. I thought of the song with the lines, "We'll understand better bye and bye."
As I grow older I think more about the fact that it won't be long until some of the questions in our minds will be answered. I like the assurance John gives us in 1 John 3:2 "Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. (NIV)
I am looking forward to tomorrow when we will meet with our church family and enjoy the fellowship and worship. We go to our Bible classes at 9:00 and the worship period begins at 10:15. There is an early service at 8:00. I hope you all have a good week-end.
--- Papa John ;D <:))))><<
I have been watching the most magnificent concert on Public Television. Andre Rieu live in Dublin. He is a wonderful classical violinist. If you get a chance to see this concert on PBS I highly recommend it. It is will full orchestra.
John Sheehan a famous Irish violinist is now playing with Andre. I have tears :'( as I listen to this magnificent music.
I love classical music. I played the violin as a youngster. I started with a 3/4 size that my Grandfather made from Hickory bark. I played from 8 to 16. I was second chair in the all city high school orchestra. ;D
I also grew up listening to Italian Opera. My step dad was Italian.
More stuff ya didn't know about me. ;D
Hi everyone. I have been here a couple of times to read postings and then something interrupted me before I could post. I spent all morning helping a friend get her PC set up and ready for the Internet. It took 3 hours before her service was active so we weren't able to do much beyond setting up the account. I just checked from my computer a little bit ago and the account is now active so she will be online. She had been using AOL and an old MacIntosh computer. I couldn't find a way to export the addresses after setting up the AOL account on her new PC. We didn't have time to do anything about virus protection so will probably need to go back next week sometime and help her some more. This was the couple we traveled with this past weekend and she sings in the choir with me.
Then this afternoon I spent a long time on the phone with my sister-in-law trying to help her get Internet access but we finally gave up and tomorrow she will pick up the Wal-Mart disc and that should help her get online. She can try it for a month free so that should help her get started. She has had access before.
Judyb, my folks used to live on a farm and had a pump under their house. I don't know how many times we would visit and Dad would have to get under the house to work on the pump. Know it can be very frustrating.
I appreciated the devotional thoughts today and all of the posting. See you all tomorrow. Pat, sure hope your jaw is a lot better by this evening. You are having quite a time with all that dental work.
Marilyn
Andre Rieu is one of my wife's favorite performers, so I surprised here with tickets to a live performance in Concord California,(pavilion) a couple of years back. We and some others, got up and danced while they were playing one of Strauss's Waltz's.
Not only did his orchestra play beautifully, but they had some very funny skits in between the great music.
Hey, now that your up there in the "wilderness" you better not mention that you were one of those fancy violinist in an Orchestra. Just tell them you're a fiddler. :) :)
ByGrace
How nice to come in here and see all the posts from everyone! Usually Saturdays are one of our days with few posts but here we are on page 3 already!
I had a very enjoyable surprise visit today from my daughter and SIL and all four grandchildren. They had been to the African Lion Saffari with Phil's work. His boss paid for all of the employees to go. So we all went to the mall and enjoyed walking around the stores and enjoyed a cup of coffee together.
Larry, you'll have to show your friend how to get to CP!
Nice to see you ByGrace here in our local CP donut shop! LOL
I thank God that I have never seen a mouse in this house. And more than that, a rat!!!!
Whew! I messed around on the pc too late. Had lunch too late. Then I mowed the lawn, fed to moles, sprayed some 'Weed 'n' Feed', hosed down the deck and then showered myself! Watched a little TV and talked to Jerry on IM for over an hour...he is doing real good with his typing. Talking to Jerry, I found out that the Governor O'Bannon of Indiana passed away today at 11:55AM. He had a cerebrial hemmorage...about the same as Jerry, while in Chicago. He had surgery but complications set in and with his Living Will being honored they didn't put him on life support and he passed away. First time in Indiana history that a Governor passed away during service. History made today. So we now have Governor Kernan for 18 months. I am sure he will do a fine job.
Also I was sent an email with a clickable on it. It is pictures of a hummingbird nest with two eggs that hatched. Very fascinating photos. Click on HUMMINGBIRD NEST (http://community-2.webtv.net/hotmail.com/verle33/HummingBirdNest/) to see the great photographs. The photographs may load slow but well worth the time. Go see for yourself!
I pray everyone's pumps are fixed and all with pain in the past stays in the past.

Mark 4:39
"And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea,
Peace be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm."
In the dark of the midnight have I oft hid my face,
While the storm howl above me, and there's no hiding place.
'Mid the crash of the thunder, Precious Lord, hear my cry,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.
Chorus
Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more,
Till the clouds roll forever from the sky;
Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.
Many times Satan whispered, "There is no need to try,
For there's no end of sorrow, there's no hope by and by"
But I know Thou art with me, and tomorrow I'll rise
Where the storms never darken the skies.
Chorus
Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more,
Till the clouds roll forever from the sky;
Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.
When the long night has ended and the storms come no more,
Let me stand in Thy presence on the bright peaceful shore;
In that land where the tempest, never comes, Lord, may I
Dwell with Thee when the storm passes by.
Chorus
Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more,
Till the clouds roll forever from the sky;
Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.

Etta Sue, thank you for that website on hummingbirds. That was wonderful to see. I didn't know it was possible for anyone to get that close and that often, to make pictures like that.
All God's creation is so marvelous!
Hello to everyone, I have only been here a few times this week. And have not tried to catch up reading.....impossible. My time is so limited when I do get here.
2 questions...what is a hooligan?
and what does "precinct" mean? I know what it means here but obviously it is not the same there.
I hope all who are in pain and ailing otherwise are doing better. Gettin older is sure no piece of cake, is it? :D We sure have our share of ailments at our house.
Must go. Have a great Lord's Day tomorrow, everyone!
Blessings in Christ,
~Janice

Hi Everyone:
Thank you Pat for the music again "Till the Storm passes by" I love that song.
I was at Peoples Church tonight, where I am a member, for their 75th anniversary. I was one of 45 people who carried a flag of a country of the world onto the platform and 2 of my little grandchildren were in a children's musical. We had an amazing video of Oswald J. Smith the founder and then Paul B. Smith who was Senior Pastor for over 40 years. Osward's baby sister was on the platform and she is 95 years old. She was so bright she spoke like someone only 65 years old. John Hall came back from Atlanta. He was the third pastor.
The evening was wonderful. We sang such amazing songs, lifting up our wonderful Lord Jesus. We finished by singing "How great Thou Art" There were 2000 people there and the same program will be on Sunday night.
You can see Charles Price, our new Pastor on TV Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m.
Time for bed. Goodnight Ruthie
Sounds like a wonderful evening, Ruthie!
Thanks for telling us about it. I remember going down to Youth for Christ at 100 Bloor St. E. back in the days when People's was located there.
I don't remember if I have posted today or not. That is sad.
I hope everyone has had a beautiful wonderful day today. And I hope that everyone is able to go to their house of worship (hmmmm, maybe take your camera and snap a quick one) and learn, pray, praise and worship the One who gives us life and breath.
Good night. I'm not leaving, yet, but figured I would go ahead and say it since Pat will probably lock up soon.
Yes, Karma, time to lock the door on yet another Saturday evening.
My goodness, this month is passing quickly!
I'm on my way to bed now and we'll chat tomorrow.
(Take your cameras to your place of worship!)
