Morning Devotional...She (Athaliah) rose and destroyed all the seed royal of the house of Judah. But Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, took Joash. 2 Chronicles 22:10-11
Centuries before this sad day, Jacob prophesied that the Messiah would come through the line of Judah.
Had evil Athaliah succeeded in her plans, that lineage through which our Lord was to come would have ended.
No royal sons of Judah, no Messiah, no salvation, no hope. "But Jehoshabeath..." Her name means "Jehovah is an oath," and her actions reassure us that when God makes a promise, there is no force above, around, or below which can stand in the way.
Truly we can stand upon His promises.

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee.
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.
Refrain:
Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy Faithfulness, Lord unto me.
Summer and winter and spring-time and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.
Refrain
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide,
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

Good Morning All.
Oh thank-you dear Pat for the lovely welcome here today. Â The devotional is spot on for me., also the hymn. I have decided we shall sing "Great is Thy Faithfulness" at our little Prayer Meeting this afternoon. :D
I have just had a nice little smile at the "Bus". Â Thanks for sharing that Pat, it came over loud and clear in U.K.
We have rain again here and more rain  :( but I will praise god for the gift of water.  It is a wondrous thing to be able to turn on the tap (fawcett) and partake of Adam's Ale so freely.  I also praise Him when I get into the shower and feel the lovely warmth of the water on my body.  I do think so often of those dear ones in Sudan..oh how they would wonder at it all.  Please God have mercy upon them soon and bring deliverance.
Well dears off I pop now..
'Til later.
Love,
Jenny.
Thanks Jenny!
Yes, that's such a wonderful hymn. The words are so meaningful and I enjoy singing it often.
What time is your prayer meeting, Jenny? We'll remember you in prayer on this side of the ocean.
Well, this is a very busy day for me today. I have an Avon order to do and many errands including cleaning the car so I must pull up my boots and get to work.
2 p.m. Pat.
I have noted some folks from C.P. for our prayers too....
Take care dear....
Jenny X
Good morning, friends,
I'm dressing to go to work. Whether I make it the full day will be determined on my pain level. Face is less swollen, but still have upper lip swelling.
Ruth Ann
Ohhh, Ruth Ann... I'm so sorry. Take care and is there a way you can use some ice packs? I found with this sort of problem that ice packs sure helped.
Good Morning:
Pat It only takes about 1 hour to make one of the crosses as I am using size 3 thread. The only difficulty I have is the pain in my left hand, I have to stop frequently if my hand is hurting. It is hard for me to hold things between my thumb and forefinger. Or when I have to lift something like a jar or milk carton because closing my hand around anything is very painful.
Today Gloria is having a telephone hearing withthe DMV about her drivers liscense, whether or not they ware going through witht he suspension because of her eye surgery. She can see just fine now. After that I am taking her to WM's at the church, I try to get her to as many of the church activities as I can. I go there 6 days per week.
Fay, another client, is doing pretty well considering the fact that she is 95 and legally blind. She is a sweetheart, I have been working for her for more than a year. I had some problems last year but no more. I go to her house 6 days per week to cook for her.
Jan is My DIL's client that I am also working for 1 day per week to clean for her.
Sunday is the Lord's day and my day off. So you see I am a very busy person but I sure am getting tired.
TTYL
Good Monday to all: The sun is shining and tonight we hear the temperatures will drop. I wish good days for everyone.
Jenny: For years, I have always said a prayer of thanks for my shower because it is such a wonderful feeling to bathe away aches and pain and not to mention germs - getting my hair squeaky clean. When you mention the poor people in Sudan and their trials it is unthinkable as to their daily existing. I think we should all pray hard that peace can come to them without bringing in troops. If that can be possible and anything can be possible with God's grace.
We do have many blessings each and every day. Have I not seen it - is there a place on here to post Daily Blessings. The reason I mention this is that we went through a trial of losing a business and having to live with my father - and we took many daily walks to try to keep our stress level down. On these walks, one day I just was determined to give thanks and started out thanking God for letting me see the cracks in the sidewalk so I wouldn't trip and the flower over there and that bird for its color and so forth. It was a dark and dismal time yet so much to be thankful for as a church gave us training for counselling other free instead of paying for the program. We will always be grateful for that time. I was even able to forgive the "Christian" Sunday School teacher who sold us the business with undisclosed debts - we could have sued, but we are not people who sue over things. It all worked out and much better in the end and that is the message we need to keep repeating to ourselves.
This is too lengthy. Take care all,
Carol
Marilyn: I have a friend who bought a paraffin dip warming unit for her hands when they are acting up. They have it at Wal-Mart and be sure to buy the paraffin they use - not the stuff we have for making jelly tops. Carol

That sounds like a good thing Carol. The only problem is that the nearest Walmart to us here is about 90 miles away. So pray that God would heal Marilyn's hand or bring to notice some other way of relieving it. We don't have Walmart here in the Eureka/McKinleyville area, though we'd like to.
Any news today from Mum, Beth?
Pat,my mom called me a little bit of go,it is 10:11am cst,she asked that I let you know they are suppose to get to Niagra Falls around 5:00 today.She also had told me she won't be able to call me from there so you can let me know how everything is,ok take care and I liked the reading today too,Beth

Pat, that little song is precious!!!!! Â Have fun with Janet and Darrel. Â I thought of her last night while she was in Indy getting a good night's rest.
Larry, things aren't brown...at least, not grass. Â But the soil is dry. Â The corn is starting to be picked and the soy bean fields are being combined. Â Harvest time is here in Indiana. Â I may mow this afternoon.
Jane, your post verfies God does things in his timing and they are always right!
Today Ivalou is going with me to my urologist. Â I am to have another cystoscopy to see if any new tumors are hiding away in my bladder. Â I feel in my heart that there isn't but I am always a little antsy until I here her say....well, everything looks good! Â Of course, Ivalou and I will find somewhere to have lunch. Â A great chef salad with oil & vinegar dressing sounds great!!!
Yesterday I heard two awesome sermons. Â One was on the power of prayer and the other was titled "What's Up with Sermons?" Â Both were really powerful. Â Great job!
In my Bible reading this morning....OurDaily Bread was this thought....IF IT IS DOUBTFUL, THEN DON'T! Â Also, ONE SMALL WORD CAN SAVE US A LOT OF TROUBLE.....NO!

Hi everyone. Just time for a brief message as have to leave for the Senior Center. Our computer classes for this term begin today and I am coaching for a class this afternoon. Prior to that we are having a meeting related to our computer user's group to try to come up with some programs for this year.
Glad to see everyone posting today and will try to get back later and perhaps write a little more.
A beautiful day here in Georgia.
Etta Sue, can understand the anxious feeling as the unknown always is a bit scary. Hope the test continues to show no new tumors.
Good morning everyone from beautiful British Columbia.
The fog is slowly burning up this morning, we're getting sun patches all over the trees, blue holes in the sky. It's cool, and the petunias are dead. The maples and aspens are turning colour nicely, and, when the sun shines on them, they look like red and gold jewels mixed in with all the evergreens.
I saw my fifth bear this year a couple days ago, about 10 blocks from where we live. We've had some bear droppings in the backyard. I guess they're coming down as it's getting colder in the higher elevations. A couple evenings ago I saw the most beautiful coyote, it was the biggest one I've seen so far. They are so fast.
I am flying to Casper, Wyoming on Wednesday and will have two days (Friday and Saturday) to myself, drive, take pictures, drop in on some friends. I am very much looking forward to this time. In early October my husband and I get to go for 2 days to Canmore and Banff, and I hope to be able to take some pictures there also. Pat, you've been to Banff - where are good places for pictures?
Take care all,
Ursula
[ Edited typo ]
Well, Ursula, the whole place is a photographic dream.
I'd like a photo taken from the main bridge in Banff looking along the Bow River toward the mountain. Jack and I had a wedding gift given to us painted by a friend of that scene and I wanted so much to get one when i was there but the bus didn't stop! LOL
The hotel in Banff (Banff Springs Hotel) is incredible. The Gondola ride there is great and beautiful photos from the top.
Go to Lake Louise and get photos of the glacier at the other end of the lake. Red canoes on the lake are lovely. The water is green. Smoke made my photos last year terrible.
Prayer Meeting over Pat.
Beth and Zach and Larry were on our hearts today. Carol was especially concerned for Zachery. I did bring you before the Lord also Pat as I feel life holds some problems at the moment. The Website of C.P. was also prayed over.
So you will understand that this distant part of The Body is involved with the working over there. Each of you will be prayed for as the urgent need arises. As the Lord leads us to pray and of course I will continue to join in the Prayers on C.P. on the usual basis.
Love from Jenny and your prayer partners in Birmingham, England.
Thanks Jenny! I appreciate that so much.

If there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbour as yourself,"Â Love does no harm to a neighbour; therefor love is the fulfillment of the law.

Revival: The Urgency of God's Will
Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, "Who are these arrayed
in white robes, and where did they come from?" And I said to him,
"Sir, you know." So he said to me, "These are the ones who come out
of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white
in the blood of the Lamb.
--Revelation 7:13-14
If we are serious about our Christian witness, the day may be near
when we may be persecuted-even killed-for our faith. We should be
stirred, as John was stirred, as we witness this vast company of
God's saints in heaven who have come through earth's great
tribulation.
I am not saying we are not Christians. I am only trying to find out
why we are so far from revival and refreshing and renewal. I am only
trying to determine why we are so far from recognizing the urgency of
God's will laid upon us by the Holy Spirit.
If we belong to Jesus Christ, we should never compromise our
spiritual decisions on the basis of "What is this going to cost
me?" We ought only to ask, "What is my spiritual duty and my
spiritual privilege before God?" Jesus Is Victor!, 115.
"Please, Lord, give me this kind of commitment. I fear it's far too
easy and all too common for me to be guilty of asking, 'What is this
going to cost me?' Strengthen me to only ask, 'What is my spiritual
duty and my spiritual privilege before God?' Amen."

Hey, guys! We're fine, the house is fine, the driveway was a mess, the power is back on, and I THINK the telephone is working now. That means we MIGHT have internet tonight.
LOTSA people fared terribly.
Thanks for your prayers. We're fine :)
Thank-God for that Bernard and Karma are safe and their home is intact.
Chris and Margit. Wonderful Tozer tonight. That has been my own prayer also.
Lord...Revival and let it begin with me.

Cleanse Me (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/now.mid)
(Click to hear music)
Search me, O God, and know my heart today;
Try me, O Savior, know my thoughts I pray.
See if there be some wicked way in me;
Cleanse me from ev'ry sin and set me free.
I praise Thee, Lord, for cleansing me from sin;
Fulfill Thy Word and make me pure within.
Fill me with fie where once I burned with shame;
Grant my desire to magnify Thy name.
Lord, take my life and make it wholly Thine;
Fill my poor heart with Thy great love divine.
Take all my will, my passion, self and pride;
I now surrender, Lord--in me abide.
O Holy Ghost, revival comes from Thee;
Send a revival--start the work in me.
Thy Word declares Thou wilt supply our need;
For blessings now, O Lord, I humbly plead.

It's so-o-o good to come in here and read all the posts. It was really good to see your post, Nards. I'm so glad that you three are fine.
Thanks for the wonderful Dr. Tozer devotional, Chris. I never tire of reading his works.
Night night, Jenny!
Amen, amen,
Nite nite sleep tight, God Bless Pat... :-*
Jenny, I had never heard of water being called “Adam’s Ale.†Yes, water is very good. Nothing like a good cold clear glass of pure water when you are thirsty. No wonder it is used to describe the blessing of salvation.
John 4:10 Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water." (NIV)
John 4:13-14 Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." (NIV)
Ruth Ann, I hope you have had a good day today and that your mouth is feeling better. I had a tooth pulled a few weeks ago and it seems to be doing fine.
Marilyn, you are a busy woman. Don’t work too hard because if you make yourself sick you may not be able to work. I’m sure there is something satisfying about taking care of people but I know it is hard work.
Etta Sue, I know how you feel. It has been a year now since I had the colon surgery. Week after next I am going for another colonsocopy. I am sure nothing new has come up but then you never really know.
Larry, I am glad you are having good weather now. I think you got rain from two hurricanes and we did from this last one. We too are having beautiful weather today.
Ursula, be careful of those bears. We have no bears around where we live but they do in East Tennessee in the mountains and we have seen bears over there. Strangely enough we do have coyotes and our neighbor’s dog was attacked by a coyote a few weeks ago and had to be treated at the Vet’s.
Nards, I’m glad things are doing well with you after the storm. How far are you from Pigeon Forge?
Pat, thanks for the scriptures about love and for the devotional today.

Adam's Ale...
Papa John, that's a very common saying up here in Canada...at least I grew up with it. Many folks call water that. I wonder where it comes from originally.
We're about 2 hours from Pigeon Forge normally, but with half of I40 shut down from flood damage, that's no longer true.
Nards Praise the Lord that you are safe and your home is safe. I was so weorried about the condition of your home. Thanks for letting us know how things are.
Papa John my work is very rewarding , I look at it like this. God has given me a special calling to look after his children who can't look after themselves. No matter what the job is with them I am being a blessing to someone else and that is the kind of job I ask God to give me. I can pray with them or for them and help them do the things that are too difficult for them to do. I can show them the love of God. Sometimes the families are too far away to come to see them or care to visit them.So I can be company and a companion to them as well. I am sure that Alma feels the same way. bythe way where is Alma.

Down here in Nashville, our river is named the Cumberland, and I've often heard water called "Cumberland Punch."
I made it through the day - was really feeling kinda puny about 3 pm, but perked up and made it on through.
It's not a very big thing but I want to praise the Lord that I pledged in faith that I would begin living without caffeine. Now, I've been addicted to diet cokes for many many years, so this was a challenge. But, deliverance was real - no withdrawal symptoms at all - going on 8 weeks, and still caffeine free.
Y'all have a good evening.
Ruth Ann
 It took me long enough but I just figured it out I am still on dial up,I will call the internet co and see why in the morning,Pat when you see my mom be sure and give her a hug for me too,thanks all for your prayers and thoughts
                     Beth
Beth, I haven't heard from your mother yet. But maybe they are out for supper.
I'll let you know when I do.
Oh, Ruth Ann, I'll pray along with you. At one time in Jack's journey of life, he was also addicted to caffeine and he had to get off it. I've never been. I can take it or leave it. I usually have coffee every day but I can also do without it.
Jenny, I appreciate your remembering me during your prayers today. I am very fortunate in that I know that many folks are praying for me and I know it has made a tremendous difference.
Karma and Nards, that is good news that your home is fine and that you again have power.
Ursula, only rarely does a bear appear in any of the suburban areas. We do have bears in the North Georgia mountains. It sounds like you have a very nice weekend planned and I look forward to seeing some of the pictures you will be taking.
Ruth Ann, glad you made it through the day. I remember years ago I switched from regular coffee to decaf and I had a headache everyday morning for about a week.
Marilyn, you certainly are in the right kind of work with your desire to help others.
Papa John, I had never heard the term "Adam's ale" before today.
I'm so very glad that Nards and Karma are OK! :)
Ohhh, Rachel! It's so nice to see you posting. I've been wondering about Dexter.
Now it's time to lock the door...
