Morning Devotional...I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes. Psalm 101:3
In view of the increasing evil of our current age, parents need to take control of the TV, computer, video games, music, and all other subtle--and not so subtle--influences that can and do pollute the home.
I read of a father who taped a sign above the TV: "I will set before my eyes no vile thing."
This affected the man himself and kept him away from various programs he had been watching. When his children first saw the sign, they complained, "Dad, get rid of that. It interferes with our TV watching."
The father replied, "That's what it's supposed to do!"

HI RACHELLE!!!
Hey Pat, I like the new large print. With my eyes it makes reading so much easier.
Well I have had fun with Bonnie here tonight. The kids all were in bed early and are actually asleep. Melaura likes to stay awake to hear our conversation, But tonight she was tired.
Well John is chomping at the bit to tell of his adventures, so Night I will see you tomorrow.
Love Judy
The print is the same as it has been since last fall, Judy.
Have you made any changes on your computer? Maybe Melaura or Bonnie did.
Speaking of adventures, it was sad to hear of the two trucks who hit head on on the 401 at Exit 250 (Drumbo Rd.) last night. There were fatalities.
Hi Folks. Well another adventure on the road. This trip took me past the area where Nards and Karmat live in NC. It is a beautiful part of the country and I throughly enjoyed going through there again as it has been a while since I last went that way. Next time I hope it will work out that we can at least meet for a coffee. This was a trip of time lines attached as someone forgat to inform my dispatch this trip had to go out and resulted in a late start. But we got it done and the weather in Commerce GA was just beautiful A nice break fro the winter we have beeen having. On the way home I got back into a wintert storm in Ontario and it took me 7 hours to get from Kitchener ON to North Bay On, a trip that I can usually complete in 41/2 to 5 hours. At Gravenhurst I thought for sure my accident free record was coming to an end as 1 car did a complete turn around on the road and hit the guardrail hitting a second car in the process, and sending a third car off into the guardrail on the otherside. A fourth vehicle pulling a snowmobile trailer desided to pass me and got mixed up in the mess as well and as I got to the vehicles in this mess the roadway opened sufficiently to let me through with the truck without coming into contact with any other vehicles. I have no doubt that this was accomplished with a great deal of divine intervention. I'll be happy when this winter has come to an end.
Well it has been snowing here most of the day and it is that slick stuff that is hard to get any traction in. It is something like silica. The snowmobilers are ahving somekind of event in town this weekend and we are overrun by them. That was part of the traffic I was dealing with coming home last night.
Well my next trip leaves on Monday for Maine via New Brunswick. I hope they have some of the snow cleared by then that has hit the east this last few days.
Well I'll close for now and join the family to church tomorrow. I'll check in the read the postings tomorrow.
Gob Bless, Bonesy

I have just finished reading all the posts while I was away. I noticed a number of posts on Mel Gibsons New movie and have been listiening to many of the prominent leaders in the Christian Community speak about this topic. Some have seen preview screenings of this movie and it is being endorsed for all Christians to go and see it. One person recommended that the Christians see it by thenselves the first time and then go a second time and take a Non Christian to see it and be prepared to talk about it afterwards and explain the scenes of the movie. He further stated that we Christians would be wise to familiaize ourselves with the movie as it will most ceratinly become the topic of conversation at work and other areas of our lives and when the comments and questions come out we have a unique opportunity to turn it into a witnessing session
He also expliained that to be preared for the fact that it is very graphic.

Good Morning All.,
Rachelle lovely to see you again. Don't worry your children will be fine, they have a 'praying' mother. Looking forward to seeing some of your craft works on the other thread.
Pat Thanks for the devotional it fits again. Jesus has just told me "If my eye offends to pluck it out"...so I won't be back on here today, not that C.P. offends, but this "puter" has not right to take more time from the Lord than He permits.
John Praise God for your deliverence on the motorway. Any news re the others who were involved in the crash? Was it the same one Pat heard about.
Judy Glad you and Bonnie had a great time together. These moments are few and far between as our daughters are so busy with their own families these days.
I will not see you again today. I am going "off air"...
The Lord Bless and protect you all.
In His Love.

Good Lord's Day Morning everyone!
Just on for a minute... Etta Sue., I want to hear about "The Bridge"...also., when will you see the Passion movie? I'd like your opinion on that when you see it.
Love hearing about the "antics" of Ali and Inky...too funny!
Pat: great devotional as always.
Now for a quick peek at photos., then its shower time for me.
Gotta run.....be back later!
Good Morning Jenny.
The accident I witnessed was a different one from the one Pat was talking about. The one I saw only involved cars and don't think anyone was seroiusly injured. Just some bruised egos and damaged cars.
Bonesy
Hey everyone just thought I would pop in to say hi welll HI
Auntie Pat I am enjoying the teen room tks.
Mel
Hi everyone. John, sure happy to read that your safe driving record is still in tact. Hope you have a good trip to Maine and back. Know you have to be tired of seeing all that snow.
Your experience reminds me of an occurrence we had many years ago when we lived in Kansas City. We had been visiting my folks and grandmother in NW Missouri ( a little town called Pickering where I was born and raised). On our return home on a two-lane road an approaching car hit the side of the car in front of us then missed us and went head first into the car following us. There were casualties from both of those car and serious injuries. We surmised that the old man driving the car that bounced around us may have had a heart attack or stroke thus causing the accident. We felt very fortunate that God had been with us. The thing that still gives me pause is that later we learned that my grandmother had been praying for us as she had a sense that something was going to happen. I believe the prayers of this wonderful lady were answered that day.
Hi Melaura and Sarah. Good to see you both posting. Also, Troy it sounds like you are having an outstanding season with your swimming. If you train year round you undoubtedly will see continued advancement in your times in these events.
Judy, do hope Norm is doing much better by now. I read somewhere that watching the milk products he ate seemed to be helping.
Etta Sue, sounds like you will be very busy at church this morning. I am looking forward to your report on the movie after you see it. We will probably go to see it but not immediately. I haven't been to a movie for several years. Believe the movie, The Titanic, was the last one we saw at the movies.
Jenny, hope you have had a wonderful day with the Lord. I always enjoy your postings.
Rachelle, hope you have time to get caught up on the PSP lessons. I have had that software for a number of years but have never tried to take any of the lessons. It sounds like your home schooling keeps you very busy.
Pat, that is certainly an appropriate devotional thought today. I am about to wear my remote control out trying to find decent programming on TV. I have been listening to the last two hymns you posted this morning. That is a lively rendering of "Love LIfted Me" and I really like that type of hymn playing.
We will be leaving for Sunday School and church in a little while. We will probably go out to lunch with the group and then have a quiet afternoon. I spent all yesterday afternoon working on one of the websites I maintain. It is for our Senior Golden Olympics in our county. Here is a link if anyone would care to see what I have been doing: http://gwinnettseniorolympics.org/index.html (http://gwinnettseniorolympics.org/index.html)
Morning!
I am off to do the papers.
I'll be back after church.
Soni
Sonja, I was justed headed back here when I saw you had posted. How is Zachery doing with the strep. I sure hope and pray that he is much better today. I miss his postings.
HI ALL
Pat No Melaura nor Bonnie did anything to my puter, But it sure is easier to read! I don't need my glasses, and you know how much I love my glasses! ! ! ::)
Etta Sue, Did you get the suggestion to use a cat carrier as a time out? I lost a full post yesterday and haven't checked back to see if I actually posted that suggestion.
"The Passion" is causing a lot of conflict who have been raised to believe theatres, and going to theatres are wrong. I was raised that way as well. This is a battle I have had. I am wondering how others are doing with their beliefs and this movie. I have come to grips with it this way, What the Enemy has intended for bad, God can and indeed has turned into something good with this movie. Opinions anyone.
We have had a problem at the farm. Seems that the enemy is trying to keep us from church. We had the water pump blow last night, (before 5:30 this am) and we need to repair/replace it. None of us can wash up or anything, and after yesterday there is no way John or I can go to church without a clean up. I am so glad there are tapes we can listen to of the services.
Please pray that these attacks will end.
Rachelle you are sounding like me. I have alot of marking to do today and planning for next week as well. I accidentally deleted your last email as well. :'( :'( Could you resend those addy's? Rachelle, I do so relate too to the feeling of cold. Brrrrr. Sometimes the problem of cold is related to thyroid, Do you need that checked? Are you tired? Often if I am tired i cannot get warm either. Maybe you need some extra rest? Praying for you sis.
We have a sunny day today. At Last. I am looking for winter's last blast, and hope it comes March First. You know the ryme, "If March comes in like a lion, it will go out like a lamb." Well we need the gentleness of a lamb with this winter. We have had too many lion days lately.
Well Bonnie is off to church with the boys. Sean may be going as well, so please pray for them today.
Love as always
Judy
Good morning to all you early birds! I am up and dressed for church and having my coffee, but Darrel and Abby are both still in bed. I will have to roust them out soon!
Rachelle, that is normal behaviour for girls! We females are just much more emotional than guys---God made us that way. But it is good that you and your husband are training them to control their emotions and act out of love. That is a hard, but vital lesson. Our pastor used to tell us a lot "Christians should ACT, not REACT." Lots of wisdom in only five words.
Hello to Sarah and Melaura.
Hi, Soni----how is our little Zachery today? I hope much better!
Pat, I really like the devotional today. I have just been listening to Dr. David Jeremiah preaching on prayer; a powerful sermon. I usually hear at least three sermons before leaving for church.
Larry, I usually keep my TV tuned to Trinity Broadcasting, and even then, there are a few programs I don't care to listen to---not "vile" just not my taste. Our kids are deluged with a literal sewer of filth these days. It is a constant challenge to keep them out of the stuff.
Hi, Judy! Are you and Pat going to church together today?
Hi, JudyB and John (Bonesy). I wouldn't want to attempt driving on some of those roads. Wow! Thank God for protecting you and bringing you safely home onece again. Isn't He wonderful?
Well, I must get these people up and fed and get on the road to church! See y'all later!
Good morning to you all. I have time to write this morning as the new Sunday School topic has been postponed for a week.
We got to sleep a little later than usual on Sunday AM.
It has been a sad couple of day for me. Yesterday, the wife of my old fishing pal was buried...she was also my sister-in-laws sister.
If that weren't bad enough my racquetball partner of 28 years died and today we go to the funeral home.
I called my Dad (81 yrs old) to tell him of Ken's death, he said a lot of people he knew were dying.
I said, "Yeah, when you get as old as we are, you get more death than birth notices."
What do people who don't know the Lord do?
I am so greatful that he interrupted my life...because at these times of great sorrow, I know that I will meet those loved ones again.
We miss 'em, but I know if we could ask 'em if they wanted to come back, they'd say "NO!"
I cain't wait...can you?
Good Morning I am only stopping here for a few moments. I just read the rest of the posts fromyesterday and the ones already posted this monring. I ahave tog et ready for church I have to be there in 1 hour and I have done nothing yet to get myself ready.

PAT thank you for the devotional this morning yes the TV computers video's dvd they are a great problem i think that is also a reason that the young people are not coming in the church on Sunday
my son also in the evening on Saturday then he is not going on bed. And Sunday morning he is sleeping. I have also had a talk with the pastor about this problem but she say also so are all the young people
no own is coming in the church on Sunday. She say but wait when they are a little bit older then they
are changing. I hope and pray for that.
JUDYB what a photo's with all the the snow and that in one day. Is there where you are living on this moment also snow.
JOHN when you are going on the road
i wish you a safe trip may God Bless you.
I have this morning take a look to the
TV there was a programme with Christian songs and after that was a church. Very good.
It is a Sunny day in Holland 3*C but there is a cold wind.

Hi everyone!
Dad I am glad that you were able to make it through the mess in Gravenhurst. Having travelled that corridor once a week for the last year, I know just how much fun Gravenhust can be with all the hills, bends in the roads, and crazy drivers who think themselves invinceable. I remember a year ago, right around this time, a bad snow storm similar to the one that you had to drive through the other day, and other drivers that would have had to go and see their body shops after they were towed off the road. I am so glad I had a professional driver teach me to take my time in weather like that, and any other time. I have turned into a far better driver, because I take time to look, and in bad weather, I generally observe a big truck who is taking his/her time, I get in behind him/her, and stay there. The way I see it, the big truck has more weight on the road, even if he/she is empty, and therefore he/she has the chance of having more control. So I am safe behind him/her, as long as I leave a good distance in case the truck driver runs into a problem.
Mom I am sorry to hear that the water pump has gone again. You have had more problems with that thing in the last 8 years, than any one other thing on the farm. I am not sure what the answer is, but I hope that problem is resolved soon.
I really need to run for now, but as always, I will check in through the day. I may even post a bunch too....I noticed earlier that I am almost to the 100 post star bonus..... ;D
Take care everyone, and thank you for your prayers with my other situation.
Love
Heather
Strange Judy as there have been no changes on the site at all. I was looking back and it was actually last August when I changed the font size on the site! ??? So, it's not on here for sure.
Well, I'm off to your house, Sue to be a "pampered chef"! HAHAHAHA! Guess this will be like a little mini CP Bash! Two Ruth's and Sue!
I'll be back later to bother you all! HAHAHA
Well we had a dinner meeting after service tonight with our small group. All day I haven't been able to get in here but it looks like it is up and running now. It is 9:00 in the evening here now.
Yes, Marilyn, I was here twice yesterday. I may have turned over a new leaf.
Well, I just wanted to check in. Tomorrow is another day.

Well, that's too bad that the site was down but poor Ian sure had his work cut out for him today!
Glad it's back now.
I think I won't open a new topic for tomorrow. I'm just going to change the date.
Enjoy!
Like a good watch, NEM is ticking away.
Hey folks, my eyes were opened today to something awesome. Have you heard, or read, of the comparison between the life of Joseph and Jesus? If you find time, reread Joseph. It's awesome.
Well we have had no end of trouble getting logged into CP this evening. Either my puter or something else is going on. Who knows! ::)
John needs to be at hix truck for 6:30 am tomorrow. The girls were allready to put their school books into the car so we would be able to stay in town and not make 2 trips to North Bay. It has been such a blessing to have church keys, any time I am in town with time to spare we head for the church and work, eat, and play there. We take food and use the church facilities to prepare it. Really convenient Pastor Dennis has said even if we need a washroom with privacy it is there to be used. With Homeschooling it has been good as we have has a quiet place where the girls can be with few distractions.
Pray for mother, she was into the doctor today and has bronchitis. She is on antibiotics, and an inhaller. It is rough for an elderly person to be sick like this. I had Bonnie's boys on Friday night, but made the decision that the weather was too bad to take her out, for just a trip to the mall. Having the boys made the decision easier. She agreed that it was better to stay in with the weather being bad.
Those pics of PEI were awesome. We have a lot of snow now, but certainly not that much.
I still am ready for the spring to come. We have plans for a veggie garden that should feed Doug and Megan's family as well as Bonnie and her family. I am looking forward to this. I am also looking into getting broiller chickens and turkeys so we can freeze them as well. Hopefully John will have time to fix up the chicken shed for this purpose.
So many plans, and if we are able to do all that we want the whole family will have an easier winter next year.
Well John is here ready to post so I will get off here and let him at it.
Night all
Love JudyB
Well just a quick note to say that I will be off on another run in the morning heading into the eastern snow world. Hope they have the roads cleared by the time I get there. If all goes well I should be back by Thursday or Friday. I was looking to get on CP most of the day but there must have been somthing wrong with the site or our computer as we were unable to access the site.
Anyway wish everyone a good and blessed week and will post again when I get back.
Bye for now and God Bless. Bonesy.
Hello all! I am frantically searching for a math lesson for my little ladies at hte Senior Citizen's Center tomorrow.
You would think after almost six months of teaching htem once a week, I would learn not to wait until the night before to figure out what to do.
Think I'll join Procrastinator's Anon. Nah, on second thought, maybe next week.
Glad to see the site is back up. I'll pop in periodically, until I actually find something. Then, I'm goign to bed!
I'm just coming in long enough to say hi and goodnight. Pat and I and Ruth had a fun time at a Pampered Chef Party. Oh yes, Geordie was there too. Pat will post some pictures later.
Talk to you all tomorrow.
Love Ruthie
Sorry, Judy, that you didn't get them emails saying that CP was down. Dear Jenny sent the first one out at just after 1:30 or so our time at lunch and I wasn't home but at least then the group knew.
I just went to Yahoo and you had yourself there as "Special Notices". You won't get these emails if you are on as that. I've just changed it to "Emails".
Anyone who isn't on our Email List at Yahoo and would like to be on it, please let me know. We don't send emails out all the time like other Yahoo groups. This list is just wonderful to have for times that our website is down and so that we can communicate one with the other.
Here's the URL of our CP site at Yahoo:
Christian Photographers at Yahoo (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/christianphotography/)
Make this site one of your "favorites" after you're registered and then you can alert the group if the site is unreachable.
Pat
It's great to see CP back up.
I had a suggestion made to me during the last day or so - go see the Passion, but don't expect it to be a great blessing to you. Instead, try to remember as much of it as possible, and think of ways to answer unbelievers who may comment to you about it. Once thing that was mentioned was that in Jesus' actual crucifixion the greatest pain was not physical - though physical pain was indeed terrible. But the greatest pain was God's rejection of our Savior as our Sponsor - as though He were guilty of our sin. It's why He said, "My God, My God, Why hast Thou forsaken Me?" That's what we need to be able to tell unbelievers about that crucifuxion.
I come home to all these emails. I am glad I wasn't around all day. I think I would have had withdrawals. hehehehe....
Glad we are back up.
Larry and Janet, Zachery throat is still pretty sore with white stuff all over it, but it doesn't hurt as bad. He still talks like a Kermit the frog and his ears are plugged.
Our church is having a gathering with other churches next Sunday and Chandraya will be singing a solo.
(She is signing the whole song by herself)
Thank you, God for making me
eyes and nose
hands and feet
ears to hear
and lips to sing
and a heart that beats for You.
Par rump pump pump
Par rump pump pump
Par rump pump pump
Par rump pump pump
And a heart that beats for You!
She sings it 2 times.
She practiced tonight up in front of the church. She is so tiny up there all by herself. I am so proud of her.
I am very thankful for all my kids. ;D
Our new Pastor preached today. It was an awesome serman. I really got my toes stepped on. I love it when that happens. Now if I can just change my ways. ::)
I better head to bed.
Night all.
Soni
Goodnes., arn't we like lost sheep when CP is down!... I couldn't relax and try to sleep, without checking in to see if everything was up and running...and it is., so, many thanks to Pat, and Ian for fixing the problem.
Soni: I'm interested... just what was the topic your new Pastor spoke on? We all need to get our toes stepped on now and then don't we.
The church I am presently attending is doing the series that many of your churches have done...the book by Rick Warren. This was the first Sunday.
I give a lot of credit to you Mom's who are home schooling children. I know I couldn't do it. Judy B, nice that your Pastor lets you use the church for schooling, meals etc. It saves you a lot of extra running back and forth with the car. The price of gas here is very high right now. I saw it for 73 cents a litre today.
Thanks, Larry for asking about Norm. I'm really praying that milk is the problem. We can deal with that!
Eddie: I am so sorry to learn of the deaths of your two friends. I'm hoping that your dad is in good health...is he?
Well, its nearly 1:am... time to turn in.
Talk to you tomorrow...oops., I mean, later today!
Love..... Judy

Good Morning All.
Perhaps yesterday has taught us our need of one another.........
"Bind us together Lord, bind us together,
With Cords that cannot be broken.
Bind us together, Lord,
bind us together,
O bind us together with love.
There is only one God,
There is only one King.
There is only one body;
that is why we sing.
Made for the glory of God,
purchased by His Precious Son.
Born with the right to be clean,
for Jesus the victory has won.
You are the family of God.
You are the promise divine.
You are God's chosen desire.
You are the glorious new wine.
Good morning to all. I have beeen "out-of-touch" in NEM..but you have all been in my prayers. Just trying to spend more "morning-time" in His Word and prayer.
I saw where some of you were at the Pampered Chef party yesterday. I love these parties because we get to eat and see new recipies. At one time I wanted to be a "Pampered Chef representative. It sure does sound like fun!
May God bless each of you today..it's time for work.
in His love, kathy
Good morning all....sorry to see that the sight has been down...got sooooooooooo many posts had hardly the time to go through them all.

Sarah
Good morning. Well, we had a good day here yesterday but of course this site was down for awhile. I marvel that the Internet exists at all. I don't understand how all this works. It is amazing that we can sit at home and communicate with people all over the world. So if we have a few hours when it doesn't work for us it is not a big thing.
I want to share a passage which I hope will bless you today. Every day can be a day of rejoicing when we put our faith in the Lord.
Ps 5:11-12 But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield. (NIV)

Thank you Dear Papa John
That is a wonderful prayer verse. I will stand in that promise.
The sun is shining over here just now....
God Bless dear Papa John and Cornelia.Jenny.
Papa John, thank you for those verses--a wonderful thought to start my day today. You are such a blessing to us here on CP. I agree, I have no inkling how the internet works, but if used for God, it is such a blessing!
Lee, our pastor is preaching a series of sermons from Genesis, on the parallels of the lives of Joseph and Jesus. It is really good, and I am learning things I never knew before. Yesterday we were in Chapter 41, and he brought out (among other things) that when Pharoah set Joseph over the whole country of Egypt, he gave him a new name. He said no one has been able to discern the meaning of that name. Then he took us to Revelations where Jesus returns and has a name written on Him which no one knows except He HImself.
The Bible is so wonderful! No matter how much or how often you read it, it is always fresh and always new things to discover. Praise God.
Sonja, I don't know why, but until a few years ago I didn't realize that throat pain is like other kinds of pain, and you can take aspirin or tylenol or similar stuff to help with it. Of course, you know which meds Zachery can tolerate. Hugs for the little guy!
I wish I could see sweet little Chandraya up there singing her song! What a sweetheart! It makes my heart smile to see children learning early to praise the Lord. You and Mike are doing great with those four wonderful gifts from God.
I got finished reading the book "The Next Ressurection" last night, since CP wasn't on. It is a good book, makes the book of Revelations very clear. I have four other new books yet to read.
I will stop for now before this fills a whole page, but I suspect I will be back later. We didn't get to swim this morning, for some reason the pool is closed. :-\ :( >:(
Gooood Morning!!!
I had a good night sleep.
Troy and I are going to go work out this morning at the club.
Somehow I pulled my back muscle so I hope I can lift correctly. ::)
I had mentioned last night that
Chandraya was signing a song, she isn't deaf. She is just learning sign language, well our whole family is.
Not much is going on today.
I see only a few early birds on here. ;D
Glad to see you posting
Tenderheart and
Kathy.
Have a good day at school,
Sarah.
Jenny~How is the weather there? Are you going to ride the scooter today? I seen some kids here rider their scooters. They sure are loud. Do you have electric or gas powered?
QuoteBy Judy Mc.~ Soni: I'm interested... just what was the topic your new Pastor spoke on? We all need to get our toes stepped on now and then don't we.
Judy Mc.~The words of his serman came from
Mark 12:28-34. The part that really jumped out to me and landed on my toes was:
"Of all the commandments , which is the most important?"
"The most important one, " answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear , O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this:' Love your neighbor as yourself.' Ther is not commandment great then these."The
Pastor had stated something like this. We can not love the
Lord fully if we don't love our neighbor(meaning anyone) truthfully. Our hearts have to be clean. We need to repent and ask for forgiveness.
God can not work through clogged (meaning sin) vessels in our body.
If we are going to Love
God fully we need to get rid of all the other little gods in our life. Like money, and anything that happens to come before
God.
I love this quote he said:
"What makes a Christian different, is we love the unlovable."
I better get going...I spent more time on here then expected.
Have a good day, folks

My little Rascal is a three wheeler and not noisy. She's electric battery charged.. goes upto 10 m.p.h. but most folks round here tell me they think I am faster than that...ha ha! She is quite a fast little mover....Mind you she's American what do you expect! :D
Good Morning, I haven't been on since yesterday morning, but I did try to get here after church and couldn't get in.
I sure slept good last night after about a week of terrible sleeping patterns. Up and down several times during the night and very light sleep. This morning I enven slept until 7 which is unusual for me I am usually awake by 5:30-6.
Hello to everyone.
Jane I will be sending you an IM re: the email.
TTYL
Jane, is there any news about your two grandsons in Iraq? I'm still praying for them. I hope you are hearing from/about them regularly, I know how us Grandmas are!
Whew! I am so happy to CP is back and running. Thanks for all the hard work to whom ever did the hard work to bring us back onto cyberspace.
Jerry and I were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at church. At the duplicating booth was a note stating that starting Feb 22, we could tape and duplicate the whole service......music, prayers and the sermon. We are now licensed! So we used 90 minute tapes. But that also takes 3 times longer to duplicate (4.5 minutes) than 30 minute tapes. And yesterday was another God-praised day...both sermons were awesome. Jerry and I duplicated at 48 tapes by both ministers.
Judy Mc ~ I had to run the lights yesterday in the big auditorium so I didn't get to attend 'The Bridge'. I did go in that auditorium at the last to get the audio tape and they were having a baptism. Talk about packed like sardines. That smaller auditorium was packed! The teens have the overhead screen, two large monitors and two small monitors, neon lights, plus the musical instruments and the Praise Team singers....all glorifying God. I just wish old and young could see these teens. I know, to some it sounds like a production but these kids really love their God and want to glorify Him in their way. And they do!! As for Ali and Inky....well, they are Ali and Inky. Inky is so busy when her eyes are open. Ali never knows when she will be attacked. But it is pleasant when Inky crashes and they can both take cat naps.
'The Passion of the Christ' ~ Did anyone or everyone see 'The Making of the Passion of the Christ' on PAX last night? I am thinking that it is going to be on again so check your listings in your area. I thought it was great and I know the movie is now made to honor Christ and follows the Gospels. It was filmed in Italy. Course, no one knew the Hebrew or Latin languages but the actors/actresses all had to speak those languages as well as do the acting. This experience will change the world. Does anyone besides me see something moving in this world....first...'The Purpose Driven Life' and now 'The Passion of the Christ'? Now if we could just get the media turned around....hmmmm!
Five hundred from my church will be going to Legacy 9 (when I lived in Greenfield 2 years ago, it was Legacy 6 so they must have built on three more theaters) plus 5 other churches next Saturday morning, the 28th, at 10 a.m. All the theaters are sold out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And this is pre-ticket sales!!! The theaters all around have never had this happen before!!! Isn't it great? And all for Christ!!!! Yes, Mel Gibson will be making some money....wouldn't it be great if his heart says to give it all to charity! That is my opinion...I haven't heard anything to that affect.
Larry ~ Whew! That was certainly a close call about your almost accident in Missouri. It is comforting to know that we may leave God but he never leaves us. Uh, Jerry can't remember when or the last movie he saw in a theater. I don't even think he has seen 'The Titanic'.
JudyB ~ Yes, I saw where you mentioned using the cat carrier. I have two of them in the basement but haven't brought them up yet. I have been giving both of them 'time-out' at night by shutting them out of the bedroom. Haha! Last night I thought I shut both of them OUT of the bedroom but they were both IN the bedroom!
Janet ~ How was church yesterday? Did you say your church is going to see 'The Passion'? When are you going?
Fast Eddie ~ My sister gave me a book of short stories. Last night I read where a mother was having a hard time accepting her father's death. She purchased a pair of doll's shoes, covered them with gold glitter and put them on gold parchment paper in a frame for a gift to her mother. On the parchment paper she wrote the words "Departed to Walk on the Streets of Gold". A reminder to her mother where her father is and that someday they would all be walking the streets of gold.
Marilyn ~ Isn't it pleasing to come to CP and read about all the church activities throughout CP?
Ria ~ I am praying that your church will realize that the future of the church is their young ones. Some churches can't wait until the young have a change of heart. Some churches need to change some for the young.
Heather ~ My father wasn't a truck driver but he taught me to follow a truck in bad weather as well....at a distance. Heavy rains or snow, I follow big semi's!!!
Pat ~ Were you a 'pampered chef' yesterday? Was that a party? We have Pampered Chef home parties here similar to Tupperware parties.
Papa John ~ Don't you just love dinner with church friends?
Lee ~ Next to Jesus, my favorite person in the Bible is Joseph. But never thought of camparing the two.
Karma ~ QuoteThink I'll join Procrastinator's Anon. Nah, on second thought, maybe next week.
Too funny!!!!!
Ruthie ~ I see you answered my question to Pat about the Pampered Chef party. They are fun, aren't they?
Al ~ I am looking forward to seeing 'the experience'. I am not going to say how I will feel afterwards until afterwards. May not be capable of saying until I purchase it on VHS/DVD and see it several times.
Soni ~ I would love to see and hear Chandraya sing. She sure must not be shy to perform before so many people. I could never do it!!! Edit: I, too, thought it was a typo. Would still love to see and hear and watch Chandrays sing/sign her song!!!
Sorry if I missed anyone and sorry this is soooooo long. Just windy today.[/b]

Hi everyone. I am also happy to see that the CP site is once again functioning properly. This really has been a very stable site and we shouldn't worry if there is an occasional outage. I think these usually relate to work that he ISP may be doing on the servers or sometimes relates to problems not at the ISP but with the Internet backbone.
I have had a busy morning and just got home a little bit ago. I also didn't get up quite as early as usual so had to go do my walking after I had coffee. Then I had to stop at our Aldi store for a couple of items and then go to Wal-Mart for a few things. I really dislike going to Wal-Mart as the store is just too big and what I needed today was on opposite sides of the store.
Yesterday morning one of our Friday men's coffee members passed away. He was in his mid-80s and had been quite ill for several months. Before that he had experienced burns on his lower extremenities when he backed into a heater in his workshop and caught his clothes on fire. He was hospitalized in a burn unit for weeks and weeks. He did recover enough to return a few times to our group but then started suffering respiratory problems and had been in and out of the hospital. His wife has asked that our coffee group sit together at the service tomorrow morning and we will certainly do that.
We also had another death of an 84 year old lady, who was born and lived all her life in our community. She usually was able to attend our monthly luncheons at our senior center. She was in a wheelchair and had a full-time nurse or aid that brought her and helped her. So sadness in our community today.
We are suppose to have rain later this afternoon. This evening I had a Worship committee meeting to attend at the church.
Etta Sue, I saw last week the program was going to be on PAX and then I totally forgot to watch it. I had also planned to watch the Super Millionaire program and thought it was going to come on at 10 pm and when I tuned in it was over. It is going to be on 4 more nights this week so surely will remember to watch it a time or two. I always enjoyed the program and they have some new twists with this one.
I am going to put a link to a great speech that was given on February 12th in the Senate by one of our US Senators, Zell Miller. It is entitled "'Deficit of Decency' in America" and really hits the nail on the head, in my opinion. It is worth taking a few minutes to read.
'Deficit of Decency' in America (http://larryhanna.home.mindspring.com/cp/Zell%20Miller%20Deficit%20of%20Decency%20Speech.htm)
This has gotten long already so will not try to address individuals today. I have a lot I need to do and it is lunch time. However, it was good to read all the fine postings. :)
Hi all! I'm at work, so this needs to be brief.
Hope everyone is having an awesome day.
love youns
karmat
Etta Sue, I told about yesterday's service in my post before yours. I expect you were composing your post at the same time. Our church will be attending the Passion at 4:00 next Sunday, the 29th. My sister in Nebraska called last night, and their church has bought out an entire showing of The Passion at that same time, so she and also my foster brother and we will all be watching the movie at the same time.
Larry..........Pax announced they will rebroadcast the Making of the Passion on Tuesday night. I think the time is 7 PM central, but you will want to check on that. It is a great program; shows Mel Gibson's heart, I think, and also tells how the making of the movie impacted the lives of all those involved. I was interrupted in my watching of it by telephone calls, so plan to watch it again Tuesday.
WE NEVER GET DIZZY FROM DOING GOOD TURNS.
Hello Everyone!
This will be short as I have a friend dropping in in a few minutes.
It's good to read all your posts.
I can't get your link, Larry. Wonder why? Can anyone else?
Oh, dog's barking so my friend must be here.
Talk at you all later! ;D
I heard an interview this morning with Gibson on James Dobson's show. When asked why he did it, I was very interested in Gibson's answer.
(not an exact quote, but I am trying to get as close as possible)
I am a believer. And I think that when something is as deep in you as it is in me, then eventually, it will come out in what you do best. What I do best is making films, and not much else, so it was only natural that eventually it would come out.
Again, that is NOT a quote, but it does give the general gist of what he was saying. I thought it was interesting because there are a lot of people out there (musicians, artists, photographers, <insert any profession here>) who try to separate their spirituality from their career. If Christ is to us what Christ is to be to us, eventually it will show in what we produce.

The Holy Spirit: Ungifted Hands
For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good
pleasure.
--Philippians 2:13
The important thing is that the Holy Spirit desires to take us and
control us and use us as instruments and organs through whom He can
express Himself in the body of Christ. Perhaps I can use my hands
as a further illustration of this truth.
My hands are about average, I suppose--perhaps a little large for
the size of my body, probably because I had to do a lot of farm
work when I was a boy. But there is something I must tell you
about these hands. They cannot play a violin. They cannot play
the organ or the piano. They cannot paint a picture. They can
barely hold a screwdriver to do a small repair job to keep things
from falling apart at home. I have ungifted hands....
You will agree that it would be foolish for me to try to bring
forth any delightful organ music using such ungifted hands. Is it
not appalling, then, to think that we allow this very thing to
happen in the body of Christ? We enlist people and tell them to
get busy doing God's work, failing to realize the necessity of
the Spirit's control and functioning if there is to be a
spiritual result. Tragedy in the Church: The Missing Gifts,
30-31.
"Lord, maybe the reason we enlist ungifted people is that the
gifted people aren't functioning properly, aren't using the gifts
you gifted them with. Move in our midst, Holy Spirit, that
everyone in the Body might actively serve, each one using the
gift He's been given for Your service. Amen."
AW TOZER...
Sorry the above link didn't work (I couldn't get to the speech either although that was the link for the page I was viewing that had the speech). Fortunately there is more than one way to overcome the problem so I put the speech up on my homepage site and changed the above link and it now works. Here it is again so you need not scroll back:

We're really glad
to see you here!
Soni, this may be you before too long! ;)
THE DAY TIM, the youngest of my three children, got his driver's license, he invited the three of us to go with him. I was determined not to spoil the day with advice or words of caution.
Tim must have picked the narrowest, most winding, hilly road in the area. Unfazed, he and his brother and sister discussed automobiles and how to repair them. As we flew along, I kept a smile on my face and my mouth shut.
When we came into the home stretch at the driveway, I sighed and congratulated myself for my forbearance. Just then my daughter asked, "Tim, what kind of tool would you use to remove Mom's fingernails from the upholstery?"
:-[ You really are so sweet Pat... All the fanfare for me.
:)This morning I went to the Art group we run in the Church and was thrilled with the great improvement in skills of our Artists. Our Church is in its 50th year and I have invited our artists to do something in recognition of the Churches anniversary. For the first time in weeks there was a break in the cloud, so I hopped in the car (no appointments today) and drove up the motorway toward Rochester in Essex. No sooner than I found something to snap at the clouds covered the sky with a dark vengence. I still managed a couple of great photos though.

The above link is to a website on sharing Christ with those who have seen the film. We received a letter that was written by the Commisioner of Evangelism at the church headquarters, attached to the letter is and article taken from the above website.
Last nights New Generation service was another time of wonderful praise and worship, the young people put on what they called a Human Video portraying some of the things the kids in the world do for attention and love. After the music started Jesus came down the aile telling them about His love, I wish I could remember the name of the song. Anyway I think it was one of those "you had to be there moments"

You are all so kind....
I wasn't able to stay up last night until CP got back online - early alarm for work today. But oh, what joy to see we're back. ;D
The last movie I went to was about 20-25 years ago. My father and step-mother took my husband (not Gene) to see Paul Newman in TheWitness. I was mortified at the language and would have walked out if we'd been paying for it. Disgusted me so much that I haven't been to a movie since.
I doubt very much that I'll go see The Passion.... I have a very squeamish stomach and even the trailers for it on TV upset me and I have to turn away. :'( The churches in our town are getting together to travel by charter bus to Albany for it, though.
England. 10.45 p.m.
Hello Gareth and Welcome to the C.P. Family.
Hey, Gareth! I've spent quite a bit of time around Brentwood and Leigh-on-Sea. Been there?
10.55 p.m. U.K.
Good evening to you all. It's night time here and I am going to bed in a mo.Called in first to see if anything is going on, I don't like to miss anything.
Larry My father is 87 years old now. He has booked a holiday in Greece for himself and his lady for May "If I am still here" he said. Oh dear, he and Joan spend most of their time at funerals and visiting dying friends in hospital these days. They have had some happy times with a crowd from their golf club but now the numbers are depleting quite rapidly. Living to a good age is not much fun for some folks, especially when they do not know Our Jesus. Faith is a gift no amount of money can buy.
Well folks I am going now...
See you tomorrow d.v.
Jenny.
Janet, what your daughter said to you about your fingernails sounds exactly like something my youngest daughter would say to me! Oh well, good to have a sense of humor.
WELCOME GARETH!!![/color]
I think I have neglected to even say HI in here!
Sorry! HELLO EVERYBODY!
I'll reply to you... Hello Nards.. nice to see you!
Gareth - A very warm welcome to Christian Photographers. I read your "introduction"... what denomination is your church? What are the names and ages of your children.
Larry: I had no trouble getting your first post, and also the article on Decency. Its so nice to read things like that...especially from a Democrat! (just joking, Larry)! ;)
Jeanne: If you were going to Albany, I would make every effort to meet you.... its not all that far from here. I hope to see "The Passion" movie. I heard James Dobson interviewed on CNN., and he remarked how true to the 4 Gospels it was. I don't care for Gory movies., but will go and see this one (i think). :-\
Etta Sue: What a wonderful post...and so detailed. You don't forget to comment on anything. Jerry must be feeling okay these days, as he is able to help like he does. Please tell him I was asking for him...he is missed on here.
Paulette: if you should come by later., its always nice to hear from you., but I'm missing Jen...her wedding must be coming up soon, is it not? Where will it be held, and also the reception? Do you ever watch "Wedding Story" in the afternoon? Usually I have that on while I am preparing supper, then I sit down with a cup of coffee, and watch Dr. Phil.
Supper dishes need putting away. I'll check back later and view the photos Gareth put in.
..... Judy
Hi Al, I agree with you about The Passion movie. Because God hates sin and must punish it, His wrath was on Jesus when he was on the cross because Jesus was bearing the sin of all the world through all the ages. That is why Jesus said "My God why have you forsaken me" It says in the Bible that "it pleased God to bruise Him" and the "wrath of God was on Jesus" He paid the price to satisfy a Holy God. This is so amazing! This was the greatest pain. Yes, this needs to be told to unbelievers who see the movie.
We all need to pray that this movie will have people thinking about their eternal destiny and surrender their lives to God.
Love Ruthie
Hi Judy mc. and Ruthie.
I've been a busy bee today. I was hoping to do hardly anything but nope, didn't work out that way.
Zachery is going in on Thursday to have another CT done on his abdominal to make sure his pancrease isn't swolen.
He has to go to the doctor tomorrow to see why he is still not feeling better. They said he might need a stronger medication.
That's about all the news I have for now.
Talk with you later.
Sonja
Welcome to Gareth. I took a look at your WebShots site and you really have some nice pictures there. We are glad to have you here.
I hope you all have a good night's rest.
Ps 3:5 I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me. (NIV)

Darrel decided he wanted to eat Mexican food for supper, so we went to Alejandro's. I ordered Guacamole and one taco....I got guacamole and a stuffed sopapilla! Now I'm the one who is stuffed! :-\ The boy who waited on us, was working his first day on the job, so I didn't want to complain. Then the owner came over and offered to make me the taco, too. I told her no thank you, it was just fine, and both she and the waiter apologized. Really, a stuffed sopapilla is about four times as much food as one taco....so what's to complain about? I like it all! ;)
Larry, that story wasn't about me, I got it from Reader's Digest, but thought anyone whose kids have gotten drivers' licenses would relate. ;) :D
I saw the making of the Passion again today on TBN. It looked as if the entire crew had great respect for Mel Gibson, and had a lot of fun with him as well.
Darrel got a call this evening that he has an appointment with his heart doctor in Amarillo for 11:00 AM tomorrow, so away we go to Texas.........again! :( :P We are not excited about going again so soon, but he needs to keep up with those appointments. We had completely forgotten that he even had one; it was made six months ago.
Anyway, I won't be around tomorrow, so y'all be good, okay?

Hi, friends,
I've had a frenzied week at work - put in 74 hours. So, if you've wondered where I was - now you know!
Fortunately those weeks are getting farther and farther apart. It will certainly make an ole lady of me, though, if I keep up at the pace I've been living for the last 6 months.
Leslie may need to be treated in hospital. If it will help those headaches to get under control, so be it.
I haven't heard much from the Atlanta children. I'm just trusting and praying that God's will is done in each of their lives.
Must go - it's time for bed, methinks.
G'nite.
Ruth Ann
Hi Sonja....So sorry to hear that Zachery isn't feeling well still. I will be praying for him. Congratulations on Chandraya singing that whole song herself. Good for you honey.
Hi Judy...how is Norm feeling now? Have you every seen the Pampered Chef line? Everything is top notch! I don't do a lot of baking now so I only bought what I would use.
Thank you Jenny for those great words "Bind us together Lord, with cords that cannot be broken" I think that is a song I used to sing.
Hi Kathy.... that is wonderful that you are spending time in the Word. I have a cataract in one eye and have felt so bad that I can't see very good, especially in the morning. Then I remembered my Mother had a big magnifying glass. I found it and was so thrilled because now I am reading better. I have set up a chair in my bedroom with an old curved light that shines down on the page. So it is better now until I have the cataract taken off.
Hi Sarah....hope you had a wonderful day at school.
Thank you Papa John for that wonderful scripture Ps. 5: 11-12. I especially was thrilled to read that the Lord surrounds us with His favour like a shield! Isn't that wonderful dear Christians.
Janet, yes Joseph is a type of Jesus. Very similar parallels. The brothers put Joseph in a pit, but later he was exalted to a high position and all the brothers had to bow down to him. Fasinating story.
Oh Sonja I just realized that Chandraya is signing a song, not singing a song. Kevin, my son can sign. That is a wonderful gift. Our Pastor said the same thing that to love God, you must love each other.
Will come back later. God Bless
Love Ruthie

LOL, Janet. Do you really think some one makes tools like that? Hahahhaaha....
That was a cute story, thanks for sharing it.
This has been a long day. Some people are by nature up early. Unfortunately I am not, so to get John off to work early is a stressor for me. He has been having engine trouble with the truck, and today he was instructed to take it to the dealler and there they found it was running on 4 1/2 cylinders, not the normal 6. They fixed the problem and tweeked the horsepower, and she is running really well. He left behind time, and will deliver late. That is the way the ball bounces!
Tonight while the girls were at Awana, Melaura Cleaned Mom's appartment. Boy did she do a good job. I was impressed.
Well I am tired, so Night Night all

I sure enjoyed being Pampered by the Chef and also having the pleasure of meeting and renewing friendships at the party.
I had laid the peel and stick tiles in my hall on Saturday with many muscles being put to work and boy I am still stiff from that and the job is not finished yet. But it can wait for a week or two. The bathroom is next on the list to be done.
As for today my school bus trip was fine except for one small hurdle at the end of the day, the bus stopped dead and I have no idea what happened, I am so thankful that I had no students on at the time, one of little trials in a days work. The way I feel it could have been much worse.

I have been next door for the past 3 hours visiting with my g-dkids and Gilbert. Forest is a pretty sick little boy. He coughed all nigh and all day. Gilbert fixed pizza for dinner. We watched a disney movie "Holes" and sat on the floor and played Uno.
Pretty soon I wilkl call it a night and check out. But first I have to check out all the other folders here. So good night for NEM.

Lots of reading today. I love to read your posts Papa John, as well as the devotionals from Pat.
Hi Zackery. Sorry you still are not feeling well. Know all about how awful Strep Throat can be. Here is a little joke for you, since you like to go hunting.
Tom & Will were out hunting deer. Tom asked, "Did you see that?"
"No," replied Will.
"Well, a bald eagle flew overhead."
"Oh," responded Will.
A couple of minutes later, Tom said, "Did you see that?"
"See what?"
"Are you blind: There was a big black bear walking on that hill over there."
A few minutes later Tom again said, "Did you see that?"
By now Will is getting aggravated, so he says, "Yes, I did!!"
And Tom says, "Then why did you step in it?"
Get well soon little guy.
God Bless and pleasant evening all. Liz
Janet and Etta Sue..........
Thanks for responding to my post. The comparison is awesome and I'll hold off until tomorrow to list them because many don't read late posts.
I've been feeling rough all day today and now I've found out that I must go to London tomorrow so i won't be around till late. I go again on Thurs.
It's getting to the end of the school year for the students and they are trying to get all of their patients finished.
Now, I'm locking the door of this topic and opening a new one for tomorrow.
