From Chris Saunders

"The Day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night

For when they shall say" peace and safety" then sudden destruction will come upon them, as travail upon a woman with child, and they shall not escape."1"Thess.5.

Why nutcases try to predict the timing of the Harpazo .. I do not know except that it is obvious that they do not believe nor understand God's clearly written word.

If you were tipped off that a burglar was coming at a certain time to rob you, I feel sure that you would be waiting up to give him a warm reception. But we don't sit up awaiting the coming of our Lord, we know He's coming,
we are absolutely certain of this, but it might be today or it might not even be in our lifetime. And so we don't spend sleepless nights sitting up, because we are sure that we are saved, and that He is coming for His saved ones, and He will not leave us behind.
He paid a terrible price for us, and won't forget us,

Come Lord Jesus.

"The Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rose first. Then we which are alive and remain, shall be caught up together with
them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we be ever with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. " 1 Thess. 4.

And indeed what comfort this is, whether we live or die we shall be with Him forever.. No more sorrow nor sighing, no more aches and pains, no more grief, no more being sick at the state of this sinful world in which we live.
Joy ever after, we are in a win win situation here, the whole corrupt world will suddenly know that all they have heard and scoffed at is actually true, but alas, too late, we are saved by grace through faith, not signs and wonders, so if you are left behind
then you were sceptical, unbelieving, and lost.

The bible is God's word to us and God does not lie.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved.Chris july 2021.jpg

So simple to understand:  Just believe!   Chris Thank you!

This is a busy month of appointments for us.  It just gets rediculas to have to go back and forth to the doctor and at the same time grateful for the attention to our health.

Last night I was able to get together with my quilting group for the first time in months.  We have missed each other.

Where is everyone?  I posted 4 days ago and I do not see any note.  Please check in and let us know how you are doing these days.

Here, in Colorado, summer is already here with the heat rising and fire danger in the mountains predicted this year - just like last year.  Photos of the mountains look rather grim.

One son brought a new girlfriend over to visit last night - along with her dog.  What a beautiful dog - half poodle and half Golden Retriever.and so calm and she could be a therapy dog for sure.

This girlfriend likes to knit and I gave her a pattern of a cardigan sweater (I had already knitted mine a few years ago.  Usually, it is too warm to wear it but oh so nice in winter.

We try to keep up with everything and find too much time is spent on the computer trying to make our way through appointments and so forth.  Good Grief - I would like to speak to a human sometime and not be at the mercy of a stupid machine.  ::) That sounds too crabby.

Church is open and also on video so - because of flu and colds too, we have stayed at home so far.

It is sunny and windy outdoors - over 90 degrees F. - hot hot hot.  I spent a long time filling in information for a doctor's appointment on the internet.  Everyone expects a person to go to the internet and many times it takes a lot more time to fill the forms carefully than it would be to answer yes or no.

For some reason, I just had a message that foreigners  Cartel and some ex prisoners are  swarming over the border.  Not news to us - this happens all the time.  We had a couple of scary drives in Arizona when entire groups ran across the freeway.  It really never ends and they are not all from south of the border.

Fotobirder:  Love your blue bird photo!  It looks like a Blue Jay?  Do they migrate?

The news today is a young man has been sentenced for killing one other student at school - so terribly sad.

Marilyn:  Travel mercies and I do hope you find this move easy and safe. Trying to figure out what your new dog looks like....photo sometime?

Here, I spent time getting my sewing machine ready for a project in my quilting group.  We are all making a special quilt for charity - I do not know which one.  One of the girls cut all the blocks and we just have to sew them in a certain order.

Good day everyone.  We have Doug's wedding looming and people are cominh on Friday to prepare for the limited festivities.  We can have people here for a religious gathering, which a wedding is.  The meal isn't.  So the brides mom and bride are coming to make up brown bags, for the guests.

Our terrific hot spell is for the moment is over, we have fresh cool weather.  Having said that, this has been a difficult month.  Grass is brown, water levels are low, and gardens are suffering.  This past weekend and Monday we finally had rain, a slow penetratng rain that was really welcomed.
Carol I hear you about the heat and wind.

Well I have a lot to do.  Bye for now and God Bless you all!

Marilyn: The message said "not available"  sorry.

Judy:  A sack lunch for everyone at the wedding - that was smart thinking.  There is more hot and windy weather daily - our beautiful mountains are in great fire danger.

A neighbor just lost her son and she had lost both her husband and daughter not so long ago.  She is in our little birthday recognition group.  Now, my other friend is beginning a prayer group of only 4 so far - I don't know how often we will meet - perhaps weekly but that is a bit hard to get together so often sometimes.  Will see how this works out - My close friend mentioned a Max Lucado book - forgot the name.
We all need this so much and at the same time it is hard to find the time.  If it is supposed to be then, the time will be available.  (Just thinking of the list of doctor visits for the two of us -

Yesterday, I made chicken soup and froze two pints.

Marilyn: I will check again for that photo.

Ok Prayer warriors!!!

John and Doug's truck broke down 3 days ago.  THey went from IL to colorado to get the part needed. They are racing back to the truck repair shop for them to fix it....  THe wedding is Saturday..... They are expecting to have to wait till tomorrow afternoon to get mobile again.  So much for Doug the groom to do and their time is gone... Please pray that the night shift fixes the truck so they can get on their way.  Thank you

I do hope everyone made it back home for the wedding and made it to the church on time. Best wishes for a safe and wonderful future.

Marilyn:  I do have a Facebook site so that cannot be the answer.

I just finished baking scones.  Time for tea - instead, today I made cocoa - sugar free.

Hello, I am here and thankful to be here.  I could not get "on" for a while but kept checking back. Do hope all is well.
Judy:  Is the wedding today?

Here, I had to take a long test at the hospital and came home so tired yesterday.  I did well in just breathing and staying still for 30 minutes being scanned.- thankful for prayers.  Now, to wait results.  I am just weak from exhaustion yesterday - plus, we had a huge rainfall yesterday and water flow came up to the yard fence in the ravine.  They have worked hard to clear brush and so forth so the water goes under the road and doesn't flood the houses here.

Our youngest son and wife are in Oregon - looking for a place to retire and today is frightfully hot.  They want to build a house (room for the dog or two and maybe chickens too.  It is over 100 degrees F. there today I have never seen it that hot in that very mild weather area.

I was hoping to find out about the wedding day.

Here, we had flood like rainfall and the water from a ravine in back came right up to the fence.  All is back to normal except the city of Denver and area around is experiencing so many shootings. It is sad to check the nightly news - people are being murdered for no reason - just so sad.  Across the country there is sad news nightly.  Prayers for mental health and people to return to church once again.  Our church is open but we are not going there yet - it still needs support.

Our youngest son and wife are taking a vacation in Oregon - they arrived to 115 degrees and above F. heat.  We lived in that area once for a year and then the company transferred us to Colorado.

A good friend is talking about starting another bible study - it may only be 5 of us.Once a week is just about perfect.  I am the only one now with a husband.  Otherwise, we get together for our birthdays.

That us all my news from the foothills to the Rocky Mountains.

Hello,  is there any friend out there?  I do hope to see some other post soon.  Let us not allow this friendly and calming place disappear after all the hard work so many have done to keep up our spirits on everyday reminders of the grace we are given by the Lord.  do ho

It nice to see a couple of posts so it doesn't look like I am talking to myself.   :)

Judy:  You have worked so hard on keeping the flame of truth and love going.  I wish a few more new people would sign on.

I borrowed Don's cane because - sudden pain in my right ankle and sudden pain in my left shoulder. Another appointment to make some time.  I wrapped my ankle and it give some relief.  Just another day....

If you read this - just send a "Hello" - Jackie:  How nice someone thought to offer rides.

Just found out my elderly friend - ex neighbour of 20 - 30 years ago died last Sunday 6.am in hospital where she had been for the last month or so...Told by daughter during phone call that she just gave up, was prepared to die, was not afraid of dying as she had had a previous visit of seeing colours, grass - flowers, animals, with the dark skin man telling her it was not her time... She had had all manner of things wrong with her insides...she weighed 6 stone when she went in, daughter told me she could not eat due to her illnesses, so much had been going on with her, her inside body after having most of her intestines - stomach removed plus suffering colitis, told her weight at time of death was 4 stone...Daughter told me cremation takes place 14th July and not to wear black if i can make it to go... Too far in my mobility scooter and i can only walk so many steps with my rollator, would have to be by taxi...said mom would not want anyone to wear black, told to wear colours...

Jackie:  Sorry for the loss of your elderly friend.  So sad that she had such medical issues.

Here, I saw a buck (male deer) come through the ravine and jump the fence then run toward our house and side until I couldn't see him any more.  What a beautiful animal and a joy to see him casually leap over the fence.  Thank you Lord for letting us know the wild animals.  Keep them safe - prayers.

We sat on the porch last night and watched both legal and not legal fireworks.  There always have to be people who cannot listen to orders.  We were treated to two meals this weekend - nice to be a senior at times.

Good Morning, I just got back from a walk with the dogs. We had a nice 4th attending a BBQ at Gilbert's house. He cooked to much food because the grands kids didn't show up

I am going to the hardware store in a little bit to buy two garbage receptacles. Gilbert will do dump runs for me but I need the receptacle so the garbage won't be sitting in the carport in bags.

I also need to contact a thrift store to pick up this first batch of donations. There will be more!

I can't wait for my new furniture to arrive.  Tired of sitting in those plastic lawn chairs.!
