It is a beautiful day in Indiana.  The sun is really making my forsythia a brilliant yellow!  I took some pictures but I don't have time to get them out of my camera.

Today Kitty and I are going to Brown County...a county south that is known for its hilly, wooded scenery and lots of artists live there.  The town is Nashville...Little Nashville and it is full of craft shops and motels.  BUT!  The forecast says thunderstorms for this afternoon, thunderstorms for tonight, thunderstorms for tomorrow morning, thunderstorms for tomorrow afternoon and thunderstorms for tomorrow evening!  I think that means yucky weather!!

We will be spending the night there and I have to leave Nashville by 2pm tomorrow because I have a bridal shower to go to by 6PM in Indy!

But we are taking our cameras just in case the weathermen are wrong!

So that being said, I probably won't be back online until after church Sunday!!

Sarah, so sorry for the loss of your friend.  It is always weird when someone my age dies (especially when they were friends).  It's like a part of your childhood disappears.  I will be remembering you, and the family at this time in my prayers.

I'm using the wireless connection at the hospital right now -- Bernard is having is TEE done.  Much, much faster than at home.  I've uploaded pictures, downloaded stuff I've needed but been putting off (one thing took like 10 minutes here, and would have been closer to 10 hours at home).

Hopefully, Bernard should be finished any minute now.  After this we should know if the situation can be corrected with  catheterization or open heart.

Laters.

Hi, friends,

Recovery is coming along. Yes, the pain is beginning to subside and soreness, too. I tried going to the store yesterday for a few things we needed, but found that my hand is not quite up to gear shifting yet.

I've enjoyed reading all the posts. Jeannine and Colin, hope your new website goes well. It's good to hear you may have new transportation, Jeannine.

Y'all have a good day.

Well here is the update on the little girl.  Paige is 10 years old.  The family has been given an extension of two weeks for the appeal.  It seems a neighbour is giving them grief.  Father is on dissability and is a stay at home dad.  The fine is not 2500 dollars, rather 25 thousand dollars.  This neighbour has caused enough grief that the dad may not be allowed to have his vegetable garden, because that is a form of farming!  I am trying with John to witness to this family, so please keep us in your prayers.  We have also offered to have the chickens here on our property, so they can be kept.  If they are not allowed to have a garden, they can create a larger one here, and thus meet the needs of the family.  Pray for this family......

I am sewing for the girls.  I have a dress completed for Elizabeth, and Kassie is getting a skirt and blouse.  I do so enjoy sewing for the girls.  I will take pictures and get Pat to help me post them.

Know that I am praying for each member here, God knows the needs and that is all that is important.

Bye for now
Judy

We have two fantastic videos for you all to view on photography.  They are just short and the person in the videos is a friend of mine from Photography Cafe.

He's over in England so you'll enjoy his accent and maybe you'll even be pleased at his message on Macro photography and What's in a Wildlife Photographer's Bag.

Here's the link:

Pat:  I did see the site on Macro photography - Just Beautiful!  You are posting a bit more often and I hope that is a sign you are feeling better.

Karma:  Thinking of you this weekend.

Larry:  I checked my address book and have you down for three email addresses so I finally eliminated the two old ones.

JudyB:  I have forgotten who has the swollen finger.  A bag of frozen peas helps just as you mentioned.  I always have one in the freezer for even us oldsters get a bump or something at times.  Hope she feels better soon.

Sun is shining again and our two days of snow will be melted but we can see the mountains covered.  It looks like my cousin will be able to bring his 5th. wheeler to visit - he is supposed to leave the Phoenix area today and arrive tomorrow night.  Every year the weather is tough enough that he can't drive here so I am really hoping that things stay steady & sunny for two days and there won't be high winds for him.

I doubt that my post will be as interesting as Janet's probably was....and will be when she recovers!

No rain so far today. ;D  Good thing as the kids are going to the wedding of  SIL's sister this afternoon.  Better hurry tho', clouds forming.  This is a 2nd wedding after 25 yrs. of marriage to someone who turned out to be not so great.  Think this one is a keeper, according to my daughter!

Something strange happened yest. when I tried to come and read on CP.  I kept getting Christian Photographers Company, a site that seemed to have taken over this one.  Tried Google....same thing.  Tried Marilyn's home site with this link, same thing.  Went back in the evening and it had vanished and this site was back.  ?????

Watched an interesting News program on Headline Prime News, with Glen Black.  The hour was devoted to Prophecy and had Jerry Jinks and Tim LaHaye (authors of 'Left Behind series' and Joel Rosenberg, author of Epicentre. ( A Jewish Christian who has been an aide to former Israel Pr. Minister and other powerful folk. ) They confirmed everything that I have believed for many yrs., going back to the days when such things were taught in church.  Talked about how many world leaders are now concerned about W.W. 3 and some are quoting scripture about how Russia and Iran are forming an alliance, etc.  Explained about how it all ties in with Iran, etc.  I hope that many non-Christians saw this program.  Very different from anything that comes on CNN and only deals with the sins of Christianity :(
A network that is a perfect example of how Good can be Bad and Bad can be good!

Time to go and do some work.

Pleasant Day/Evening and God Bless.

I am home again!  There were only 10 ladies at the retreat but that made a closer nit group.  Kitty and I took our cameras and got some neat shots along a small creek and at Brown County State Park today.  It rained early this morning but by the time we got into our cars, the rain had stopped.

But I am tired.  Kitty and I talked until past midnight before shutting off the lights and going to sleep.  And we got up this morning at 6:30.  Tired!  But I am going to a Bridal shower this evening so it may be a late tonight tonight also.

Just running though here to say a quick hello. Please excuse my scare appearances around the coffee house lately, I am so busy making costumes for  the Children's Ministry Easter program. I have 7 more to go.

If you all hear a very loud and frustrated scream coming from the direction of SW Kansas, it is me!  Three times I have written a post, three times I have lost it!!  GRRR  :ticked:

And besides that, I am trying to type up a fairly long story of my life, and my computer keeps doing stuff which frustrates me so much.  Like it will start making all capitals, and now, not only caps, but in RED and UNDERLINED to boot!  And no, I don't have the caps lock key on!  I have shut down and restarted probably at least ten times this afternoon.   :ticked:  Okay, settle down, Janet.  :( :-[

Liz, your post was more interesting than mine.  I do wish I could see the program you told us about.  We are living in a very scary world today.

Diane and Jeff have invited us to meet them tonight in Moscow for steaks.  Hard to refuse an invitation like that!  ;)

I will tell you more when I'm not as tired and frustrated. I did want to tell Pat that I enjoyed the little videos.  I also clicked on the Sipidan photos and loved those underwater shots!  Makes me homesick for the ocean.

See you later.

I finished one angel costume and one adult Jesus costume. We have decided to wait  until after them children try this one on before continuing. I just pray I can get them all done by Easter.

It is rather warm here tonight at 50°. Almost like summer. Gilbert and Sarah have bought a house, and are busy moving. They just got the house Tuesday. I haven't seen it yet. But Forest's birthday is Tuesday  so maybe I will see it then.

Good Night all.

I know exactly how you feel.  I have my mouse pointed at something and I hit it or do something and walla it all is gone.  Not being a typist, it is exaspirating.

Sometimes I just don't rewrite and sometimes I do.  Sometimes God speaks to me before the rewrite and I temper down what I was writing.  Or even change it completely.

Hi everyone.  This may have tp be short as we will leave for church as soon as Pat is ready.  Today is the day we sing our Easter Cantata and this year it is "The Passion of Christ" and is so moving.  It was a great joy to stand next to the bass soloist from New York who was a former student of our choir director.  He has such a strong voice that it almost makes my ears hurt when he shifts into high.  However, he has a beautiful voice as does our guest tenor soloist.  Today is also communion.

This afternoon the Golden Olympics leader is coming over and we may complete the reports, etc, as yesterday was the cutoff on entries.  There are over 350 participating this year, up from 302 last year, and they are about to exceed the capacity of the Senior Center for their opening luncheon.

Janet, wish I had a solution for you on losing your postings.  When you lose one are you trying the back button to see if the posting is there.  I also will use the copy in case I lose a posting when I post.  The other alternative is to open your word processor or use WordPad (a part of Windows) to compose your message.  Then unless you have to reboot the computer if the posting doesn't go you can quickly copy it from WordPad and paste into the message box here on CP.

Karmat, does your local library have wireless available.  If so you could take your laptop to the library and do that work that requires a lot of downloading or lengthy time periods.  One morning I saw a man sitting outside the library on a bench using his laptop before it opened and know he was using the wireless service from the library.  I have used my laptop at our library several times when our service here at home was not working.  Hope Nards gets a report that is satisfying to you both.

Marilyn, that sounds like a huge job for one person to make all those costumes.  Hope you are enjoying it and not letting it stress you.

Etta Sue, you have had a busy weekend.  Glad you were able to get some pictures.

Liz, wish I had seen that program with Glen Beck.  Perhaps it will air again.  I am sure if CNN aired it they thought it was not complimentary to Christians.

Carol, when I sent out the change of addresses I realized I needed to clean up my address book as well and have started on that project.  I have over 1,000 entries and don't recognize or know a lot of the people since I have been involved with several newsletters and organizations.  I am removing those and keeping only the ones I think I will need.  Also it is confusing to have multiple addresses as you don't know which is the good one.

Pat, thanks for the video links.

JudyB, isn't it amazing how meddlesome some people can be in the business of other people.  It is nice of you to offer to help your neighbors as you have as that gives them an alternative.  It seems that $25,000 is a huge amount for this type of violation.

Ruth Ann, a few more days and you will probably be better than ever from your surgery.  However, know it must be aggravating not being able to do what you want when you want to do it.

A special hi to all I haven't addressed by name but I see this has become a book again.

Etta Sue

Well, I am naughty today.  I didn't go to church.   :'(  I was just too tired by lack of sleep Friday night and all the walking and standing that Kitty and I did while taking pictures.  Then last night at the Bridal shower, it seemed everyone wanted to stand in the kitchen.  My back was saying 'Ouch!'.  So I opted to stay home today.

But Ivalou and her daughter, Teresa, are coming back here after church and we are all going out to eat.  Then it is relaxing again this afternoon.

Bernard update (sorry it is so long)

Bernard saw Dr. Vickery (general practitioner) this week as a follow up for his initial visit three weeks ago (has it only been three weeks????). The good news is that all of his blood work is completely normal, and they tested, I think for every disease known to man, and some they just suspected of being diseases. Seriously, all of his counts were normal so that ruled out the pesky (and really scary) stuff like leukemia, cancer, etc. etc. There is still some question about what is causing the funky vision issues and the tingling hands, etc., so Dr. Vickery has ordered an MRI for Monday (4/1) to rule out MS. :/ Of course, since Bernard has been working in and around metal since he was a teenager, he could not guarantee that there was no metal in his eyes, so he has to have x-rays first. The good thing is that Jenny (my brother's wife) will be one of the techs doing the MRI.

On Friday 3/30, Bernard went to the hospital for his TEE. They put him to sleep (gotta chase a rabbit here -- as he was waking up, the dr. was in talking to me. Bernard starts asking logical questions about what is next, etc. We also made a couple of jokes between the three of us, etc. On the way home, Bernard looks at me as serious as a [dare I say] heart attack and says, "So, what exactly did the dr. say? He didn't remember any of it!).

Results -- The hole in his heart is BIG. It is like 37-38 mm up and down and 30-33 mm across. Conversions --- 3.7/3.8 cm or 3.0/3.3 cm OR about and inch and a half and a inch and quarter. You could run a standard garden hose through this puppy. Dr. Trichon (who looked like he might be all of 17) said that he has never seen a defect that big in someone that showed symptoms as late as Bernard did. He said that usually by the late teens/early twenties, the patient would be showing them. He was amazed at how long Bernard had been going, and how much he works and that the symptoms weren't any worse than they were. (He thought that Bernard being able to work 50+ hours a week was beyond understanding). However, it is serious. It simply can't go uncorrected any longer without some serious, non-fun, irrepairable consequences.

Soooooooooo, Bernard is still scheduled to have a heart cath on April 10th. We will meet with the surgeons some on April 5, but Dr. Trichon felt they would go ahead and admit him on the tenth and do surgery on the 11th. The hole is simply too large to even consider correcting with a cath, so it looks like it will be some form of heart surgery. We will know if it is the full, cut ya open, separate the sternum job or a "portal" (small incision) surgery after we talk to them. The Dr. also said that Bernard would immediately feel a lot better, and that he will probably be surprised at how fatigued and nasty he has felt (kinda one of those things where you feel bad for so long it starts to feel normal). That makes sense to me. That hole is letting a lot of blood go to the wrong places!

Bernard is very calm about all of this and seems relieved, even, to know that something can be done about it and we are on our way to doing that. None of this is surprising God, or even inconveniencing Him, so we are trusting Him to take us through this. God is good -- all the time!

Thank you all for taking the time to remember us and praying for us. If God can be glorified in this AT ALL, so be it. It is His plan, we just got chosen to be the players, this time.

The kids and I stayed home (with Etta Sue) today.  Kristi is just getting over a stomach thing, and Travis was up throwing up last night.  Both of them seem to be bouncing back quickly, though, so we will probably go tonight.

Larry -- After experiencing the few seconds of uploading/downloading versus the several minutes things, I'll definitely be seeking out wireless places.  There is a restaurant in Canton that has free wireless and great food, so when I have a bunch of stuff to upload, I'll "work" and eat at the same time. :)

I hope ya'll have a wonderful day.  Take care.

Good Morning, I am ready for church and just waiting until time to leave.

Thank you Karma for letting  us know the results of all of Bernard's tests.I will be praying for y-all.

Larry I don't kniow yet if I am going to be able to complete the task of making all those costumes by myself.  I made two yesterday it doesn't take long but having the spare time is something else. I missed taking the dogs out for their walks yesterday , I need to take the time to do that whenever it isn't raining.ince this is Sunday I am going to rest and walk the dogs and IF I feel like it I will sew.

Goodness, Karma!  What a lot of testing and trials your family is enduring just now.  Thank you for the clear report on Bernard, so we can be praying specifically about his needs.  I am placing all of you squarely in God's capable hands (I know you are as well) and praying His absolute best for Bernard, you, Travis and Kristi.  I'm so glad God is good.....all the time!

Sarah, sorry to hear the news of your friend's death.  It seems such a short time ago we were praying for her.  I do hope she knew the Lord.

Larry, thanks for your words of advice.  I still don't know how to make my computer stop making all caps, underlining and printing in red!  :ticked:  It is very frustrating to be so computer uh........un-knowledgable (?) at times.  (I didn't want to say I am dumb.)  ;)

Etta Sue, sometimes we need to listen to our bodies and just rest.  And not feel guilty about it, either.  I have gone to church many times when I was so tired I got not one thing out of going, and would have been better off at home, resting.  Blessings to you today.

Marilyn, I hope once the costumes are done, they will be kept for other Easters and Christmases as well.

Now to see if I can get Microsoft Word to behave today!

Hi, friends,

Church was good, and fellowship with friends was, too.

Driving didn't hurt so much today. So, as you said, Larry, recovery will possibly be slow but steady.

Tomorrow's the day I see the gastro doc about my anemia. Most likely she will order upper and lower GI tests.

Karma, will be praying with y'all about Nards. Give him a hug for me, please.

Y'all have a good evening.

Cousin Jim should be here  in another two hours - I have the oven on very low with a beef roast.  Made veggies in oven & will put them in soon.  A salad with mandarin oranges & walnuts, an apple crisp & a caramel sauce to drizzle over that & brownies.  Tomorrow, I will get up & bake the egg dish that is in the refrigerator.  An old family standby.

Liz: CNN = Certainly Not Neutral

Karma:  We are sending our prayers for Nards.  Keep faith.

Marilyn:  I have cut strips for two raggedy flannel quilts for nieces in Ocean Shores, Washington.  The worst part will be washing & drying & believe I might dry them at a laudromat.
