Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Hi, friends,

I'm glad to hear from all of you. I got in late because I had to stop and get cat food and a bit of other food (for people!).

So, not a lot to say, but wanted y'all to know I'm here and I care.

Pat

Hi folks!

Sorry about my "invisibleness"!  HAHAHA!  I've actually been "meeting'ed out" this week and so many appointments and tonight I spent about 2 1/2 hours trying to help Norm McKenna get hooked up to the internet as he hadn't been able to get online since Judy went into the hospital back in November.  I re-booted everything and of course the system was so much different from mine and I'm NOT a computer techie person.  Anyway, I found a very thin wire not plugged in and "Voila!" all started to work!

Oh, the hundreds of emails we downloaded!

And I spent several hours in the vet office.  I was early for my appointment but another dog had been hit by a car and the two vets and staff on duty were trying to work with that dog to save it and the family owning the dog were in the waiting room weeping and my goodness it was a traumatic scene.    Not sure how that turned out.

Last night I had TWO meetings--one was from 6 pm to 8 pm and the other was from 7:30 pm to 9:30 so I left the first one a few minutes early arriving at the second one a few minutes late!  Late night home too.

Today also is the day I give my friend's mother her chemo injection so spent time there too and ended up driving her to a lab for blood tests.

So, as you can see, busy, busy, busy!

I was hoping to be able to spend some time in here this evening but plans had to change for me when Norm called and asked for help.

Speaking of Judy McKenna, she's in the Guelph General Hospital confined to her room and can't have any visitors due to an outbreak of the Norwalk Virus.  So she's pretty bored let me tell you.  Poor Judy is having so much trouble with her hip.  It keeps dislocating and she's in sheer agony and terror when this happens and they have to give her a general anesthetic to put it back in.  So please remember Judy in your prayers.

Well, it's 1:15 am and I must try to get some sleep.

Hi....dont worry, I have been around keepimg my eye on you all....smiling at your jokes and praying for those who need prayer...I take a pencil to bed with me each night...just to draw the curtains!  :uglystupid:
I did notice that JudyB wanted to know what the Irish for jibberish was....I dont really know.... being an Ulster Scot who was born and lives in Ireland but is not Irish but goes along being called Irish just for an easy life! And you think the English lanauage is hard to understand! Let me see now...jibberish...gibberish...baloney..bahoughey..  balderdash..gorbage...there are more but I just cant think of them at the moment.
I had to go yesterday morning to get a blood sample taken and not to be eating any breakfast. I went into the surgery and the nurse asked...did you come fasting...and I told her I came as fast as I could :idiot: She started to explain what she meant and then she realised I was joking. I was trying to be light hearted to cover my nervousness....I hate needles! She came with this armband thing and I said..good..you are going to blindfold me. We had a good bit of banter and my ordeal became a more joyful occasion.
I wish I could answer you all each but I have not the time...will call by later.

Hey all,  It is a snowy day here, we had a bit of excitement when the snow plow came by.  Because we live in the "boonies" we seldom tie our dogs.  Problem is they take great delight chasing the snow plow.  I think they are trying to tell the snow plow operator that they do not want our snow taken....it belongs to us!  Krazy animals.  They would llick you to death, given the chance,  Dana has a soft and gentle tongue. barely feel her licks.

I have had an email from Holland "THE STORM WAS SO TERRIBLE
6 PEOPLE ARE DEAD IN HOLLAND AND A LOT IN  HOSPITAL TROUGH THE WEATHER A LOT TREES ARE FALLEN DOWN. ALSO TODAY TRAINS ARE NOT RUNNING"  Pray for our brothers and sisters in Europe.  I saw on the news the devistation on the other side of the pond.

Colin good to see you back.  Did you have the severe weather that Holland had?  Pat don't over do it.... you are needed here.  Let Judy know I am praying for her.

I am not commenting on all the posts, just know you are prayed for as well.

Well I have to go,  I will be back.
JudyB

Colin

Hi JudyB.....we had stormy weather but nothing like in Holland. We do complain about the rain here but we are grateful we do not have the extremes of weather that other people get.

Ok...if any of you would like...email Clifford Hopper of Radio North and tell him what a great guy I am and you would like him to play something nice for me on his Gospel programne. www.radionorth.net    has a request thing but it does not work on the web so Clifford said by emailing him it would be the best way of getting requests in to his programne...he is on from 2pm British time on a Sunday afternoon. Now that is if you like and only if you think I am ok! ^-^ Thank you!

Hi everyone.  Just a brief note to let you all know we arrived safely in St. Petersburg, Florida yesterday morning.  We decided to leave on Wednesday because of the weather forecast for ice and snow in Atlanta after midnight.  We drove about halfway.  I brought my laptop with me but in the motel the hard disk crashed, which probably explains why I couldn't get online there.  So I am writing from the St. Petersburg public library, where they limit you to one hour.  I will have to wait until I get home to read all the postings but wanted to say we are here safe and sound and having a great time.

Marilyn

Good Morning Good to see you made it to Florida safely Larry.

Hi Colin I take it you didn't get the gale force winds that  are sweeping England, Holland and Europe. ???

Not much new here, I have been to Curves for my workout and I am taking Ruth to the Senior Center in Arcata again today. We go everyday that they are open. Have only missed a few days since I have known her.

Good to see you back Pat I have been to your PAD to see your lovely photos.

Be sure to tell JudyMc that I am praying for her hip to stay in place, there is nothing too hard for God.

Willa came through the surgery just fine and came back home yesterday. She was still pretty groggy when I called her yesterday. Thank you for the prayers.

I wonder how Alma's daughter is doing.???

Gotta go now

Hi everyone! :)

Our weather is in the opposite extreme here in Australia. Today's forecast is quite high, but worse than than, the drought is continuing and is said to be the worst in over a hundred years. 1 in every 3 farmers are committing suicide because of the dire circumstances. About 3 years ago, I sent a letter to our Prime Minister which outlined our Christian heritage - twice in our history, our nation's leader had 'proclaimed' a national day of "Repentance and Seeking Almighty God" for the breaking of droughts. As a result of everyone praying & repenting as a nation, drought-breaking rains came within days!!!!  :)  Unfortunately, in our modern day politics, our leaders are worried about political correctness and are afraid to offend other religions. Please pray for our land which is called 'Southland of the Holy Spirit' - this was the name given to our land and because of the length of the name, was shortened to 'Australia' which means 'Southland'. We really need to see a breakthrough in both physical and spiritual rain. :)

Pat, I love your new site. What a great idea! I especially loved the rose with the photo program effects added. Very stunning!

Everyone else, have a blessed day!

In His love,
Karen Elengikal <><

Jeannine

Good Evening All,

Thought I'd pop in and catch up on the posts, I'm praying for you all.

I saw a funny thing this morning, I think I saw a crow with the hic ups. At least that's what it looked like. I'd hear this funny noise and found the crow moving to that same funny noise. Hiccups! When they were done he flew down and stuffed 3 peanuts in his craw. Very goofy bird. :uglystupid:

Now the serious, my husband has cancer, they want to do more tests to see what kind and how far. Please pray for us.

Have a God filled and blessed rest of the day and night and evening, depending on where you are.

Jeannine I am praying for your husband. There is nothing impossible for God, I am praying that when they do the testing that all cancer will be gone with no sign of it ever having been there.

I am off to the Chiropractor in about a half and hour. I have to do a couple of other things while I am in Eureka, like pick up another air hose for my CPAP machine and pick up some product that I left someplace.

Sometimes it seems there is just no end to the burdens we are asked to bear, but my Bible tells me we will never be asked to bear more than we are able.   :-\
Jeannine, you ard your husband are added to the ever growing list of friends here who seem to be really "loaded to the max."  I am praying
Also for: Judy and Norm McK., Beth, Liz, Alma, Pat, Ruth Ann, Marilyn and her friends, Larry, Samantha, Karen, Colin, and all the many, many others who are suffering hardship.   <3  <3

Hi Marilyn ... you came in while I was typing....
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

Etta Sue

Praise God, I don't have a hardship and that allows me to pray in behalf of all my brothers and sisters with hardships.

If you use Windows XP, everyone has the Character Map.  Start>>>Program Files>>>Accessories>>>System Tools>>>Character Map.  You can select the font and then click on the character you want.  At the bottom right corner tells the keystrokes to use to make this character....or you can copy from the character map and paste it here.  That's where I find all these things...like   GÔ¿ÔD Morning!!

Busy day today.  Got up early.  Ivalou and I went to eat breakfast.  I had to be done eating by 9:30am to have a 2 hour post-??? blood draw at 11:30am.  I made appointments for my yearly exam and my yearly blood work at the doctor's office.  Ivalou got a new cell phone and I changed the number in mine.  Then I drove to Pendleton and got the fan on my car fixed for the heater/AC.  We went to Dollar General and then decided we were hungry again so had a Mexican meal.  Then home.  I called and made my appointment for my mammogram.  Called my phone company to get call forwarding so I can now forward my home phone to my cell.  Busy Day!

Etta Sue:  Thanks for the ° code.  I used to know it but neglected to make a little card with the info.   ;D at your cat and mouse!

Jeannine:  Such a heavy load for you and your family right now....my prayers for everything to turn out alright.

Marilyn:  It is so neat that you run into Al and Marbeth.  How did you meet?

Pat:  It has to be almost unbearable for Judy McK - am so sorry.  Your sister knows you pretty well and she says you need to take it easy, so I will add my two-cents worth as well.  Take care!

Etta Sue:  Sorry, I just dragged your characters up to Reply - I was trying to cut and paste it.  Will sign off now & try to stay out of trouble.....

Etta Sue

Carol, you forgot to put the codes in.  I fixed it for you!   ::)

Carol

Etta Sue:  That was so nice of you. thanks.

I just have to tell someone about the very sad news in our area.  Two teenage couples were coming home from a school dance and they had a flat tire.  Both boys got out to fix the tire after they pulled over as far as they could with snow on the roads and another teen driver, a girl, drove right into the back of the car, pinning the boys legs.  Both boys, athletes, lost both legs.  I just can't imagine the trauma to the kids and their parents and am still not sure if they both pull through as one is still critical.  Please pray for all.

Carol

Janet

Ohhhh, Carol!!  How horrible!  I had to shudder just reading about it.  My prayer is for the boys to have the courage it will take to get them through this, and then to find meaningful work for their lives.  Just too awful for words..........

I was gone all day with my buddy Pat, now must get stuff ready for a day of scrap booking tomorrow.  See you later.

Carol I met Al first here on CP, then over the phone when I came  up here from the desert at Christmas to visit my son. We met in person when I moved up here 3 years ago. He was so helpful to me  telling me where to find places how to get where I was going and took me for my first job interview. He was living in Arcata at the time about 7 miles south of McKinleyville. He has since moved to McKinleyville about 2 miles away from me.
We became good friends after I moved up here.

Do you Senior Netters know that Lady Zinnia (Karen)passed away a couple of days ago? Marcie  posted a notice in Alternative Medicines that is where I saw it there ia link there toanother place.(Health Matters)

I met Karen at a bash in Loma Linda before I moved up here.

Yes, Marilyn, there are several places on SN that have the information.  Thanks for thinking of posting here.  (BTW some of us met Al on SN, too)   :)

Carol~I can't even imagine what those young people and their families are going through and will face in the days, months, years ahead.  Such trauma for all concerned.  How is the girl who was driving the car that ran into them?
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

Nita

Yes, Marilyn, I read Marcie's post after Jane emailed me.  She'd read it earlier.  Isn't that so sad?  She had such courage.

Etta Sue, I'm with you.  Everything is going well in my family now.  I'm praying for all those who are going through times of suffering and trial.

I've been looking for word about Audra too.  I guess Alma will come and let us know when she can.

Carol, that's so awful about the boys. :(

I watched part of a movie on TBN today.  It was about Pope Louis 14th.  I don't even know if it was a true story, and didn't catch the beginning, but it was really good.  I'll have to seach to see if there was a Pope Louis 14th.  I didn't get the name of the movie either.  Gosh, a bunch of almost information here, huh?  Sorry.  Maybe someone else knows the movie and will tell me what it is.

Blessings,  Nita

Ruth Ann Bice

Hi, friends,

Well, my truck is now taken care of for the wintertime weather - and it's predicted to be here tomorrow night! My daughter's boyfriend put four 75-lb bags of sand right over my back wheels in the truck bed. So, that should weigh me down very well.

I'm so sorry about Judy Mc's hip difficulties - my goodness, she's really having a difficult time.

Jeannine, I'll be praying for you. My son is not so disabled as Michael, but I have a disabled son, and also dealt with my hubby's cancer. So, I have walked part of the way in your shoes.

This has been such a busy, stressful week at work. Seems with data analysis it's either "fasting" without a lot of work, or "drowning" in too much work to do. Right now, I bob up out of the overload once in a while to grab a bit of sanity and then back at it again. At least, I'm very thankful for a job and for the assignments.

Pat - don't wear yourself down too much! We love you and want to keep you around a LONG time.  :)

Y'all have a good evening.

Ruth Ann

Janet

It appears I get to be first to say GOOD MORNING!!  We have snow falling here again, but it doesn't seem quite as cold as the past week has been.

Ruth Ann, I'm still praying!  ;)

I'm off to work on my scrapbooks again.  I have searched and searched and......... anyway, I can't find the photos I took at school of Abby and her class when they were in kindergarten.  Frustrating!  I believe I have them on discs, but what a job to search them out.

Nothing newsworthy here, just wanted to say HI!  :) ;D 8)

Janet - you're making faces.  How desecrable.

Our church has what they call their "kettlefest" today - we all get together, each brings various foods, and we talk, fellowship, etc.  We do it one each month.

Etta Sue

I want to thank everyone again for the lovely comments on my animations/graphics.  That means a lot.  I am hoping I give a few smiles with them.

What sad news on those boys in Colorado.  I can't imagine what they and their parents and their friends are going through right now.  God give them all direction and understanding.

I, too, read about Zinnia (Karen) on SN.  I never met her other than through posts but it is always sad to know you won't see their posts again.

I got an email from Kitty....she doesn't think she will be back from Ohio for her birthday.  It is suppose to snow tomorrow and Kitty doesn't do rain or snow when she drives.  I may not see her until springtime!! ???

I have had a busy two weeks and now as I look at my scheduling calender, I have nothing on schedule until Feb 2 when I take my son and his wife out to eat for his birthday!  His birthday is Jan 30 but they are busy the previous weekend so now the celebration with me is the weekend after his birthday.  Better late than never!

Cold in Indiana...21°F but bright and sunny!  Not raining or snowing....yet!!

I am praying you all have a wonderful weekend and a fabulous Lord's day tomorrow.

Larry Hanna

Hi everyone.  I am once again at the library computer for an hour.  It is just a magnificient day here in St. Petersburg, not a cloud in the sky and the temperature between 70 and 78 with low humidity.  We had a nice get together last evening and had snacks on the deck of Pat's cousin's home.  This was out in the open.  I was glad I had a sweatshirt in the car as I am always cold and that kept me very comfortable.  We have another get together later this afternoon when one of the cousin's wife arrives from her meeting a little futher north of here.  Tomorrow we are having a 50th wedding celebration for the cousins from Kansas City as none of us were able to attend on December 31st when their children had an affair for them in Kansas City.

Not much else new.  I quickly read through the posts since I posted yesterday but don't have time on this computer to comment individually.  I won't be back online until Monday.  We plan to stay here through Monday night.
