Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Somebody said to me the other day, "Your not very festive are you?" I said. "Yes I am, I dressed up as scrooge last year."

Ruth Ann Bice

Sure is good to hear from all of y'all.

I also ate at a Mexican restaurant tonight with friends from church. This one has a fajita special each Saturday and Sunday with a wonderful serving of fajitas and all the trimmings for only 6.95. So, I also brought a take-out serving to my son - he enjoys Mexican foods too.

Did I report that the leasing manager at the apartment towers commented at my son's interview this week, "likely, y'all will both be moving in at about the same time." That SURE was good news to me.

Y'all have a great rest of the evening. Even you, Scrooge Summicron.  ^-^

:) Good evening to all and have read through the post's.  We sure do have a very busy world and it seems that when Christmas comes there is not enough time in a day.

We had our family Christmas today and there was about 27 there that includes the little ones and they are so precious.  It is so much fun watching them try to open the gifts and then when they see what is inside the expressions on there faces are amazing.

Al:  How are the legs doing I hope that you will feel much stronger soon. Praying for you.

Larry:  How is your daughter?  I hope that she is getting stronger   And it was nice that you were able to see your son.  How is health.

May you all have a wonderful day in the Lord's house tomorrow.  God Bless  Gord and Noreen <3

Well, there's supposed to be a chance of snow today and tonight.  Don't know if it'll happen, though, as it almost never does here.  If the weather is too rough, we'll be staying home this morning, inasmuch as I still have my legs wrapped, and being out in rough weather wouldn't be advisable.  I haven't missed church in about a million years, so it would certainly be an experience.  They will be ordering the new and special compression hosiery this week, so, God willing, I should be wearing normal socks/shoes, etc. in a week or two.

Pat - what's the situation with Seniornet?  Are the discussions ever coming back?

Larry Hanna

Hi everyone.  We had a very enjoyable day yesterday.  The choir rehearsal went wonderfully well and the orchestra is superb.  We have a harpsicord as a part of the orchestra this year and it really adds to the Messiah.

About 1 pm our son arrived.  His wife wasn't feeling like getting out of bed yesterday so he came alone.  We had a nice but too short visit.  We went to Longhorn for lunch and visited there and then back to the house for a few minutes.  About 3:30 he said he needed to get on the road so he could get home not too long after dark and he called around 7 pm to say he was safely home.  We agreed to find a halfway point to meet so it isn't months until we get to see him this next year and perhaps he could bring one or more of the grandchildren with him also.  He said Greensboro is about half way so that is probably where we will try to meet in the future.

Al, I know you will miss church this morning but you must take care of yourself so you will be up to attending in the future.  With regard to SeniorNet I see they have even taken down the link to discussions from their main page so have to believe they may have plans to not bring them back.  I hope I am wrong.  The lady who has overseen the discussions no longer works for SeniorNet.

Gord, what a wonderful Christmas get together you all must have had.  I have many happy memories of family get togethers as I was growing up and as we were raising our family.

Ruth Ann, will you son likely be moving into the same apartment building as you or the same complex?

Janet, we have a recording system in our church that records digitally now.  I am going to see if I can borrow a copy of the recording and if so will send you a link to where you will be able to hear some of the choir singing.  The soloists we have are truly outstanding.  I am really excited for the performance tonight.

Carol, hope the storm isn't too bad where you are and that you don't lose power.  I have seen some of the pictures from the NE and the ice is terrible up there.

Etta Sue, I hope the Christmas show at Purdue was all you anticipated and that you get to see the Lion King.  I have never heard of that restruarant chain you mentioned and Janet identified.

I plan to work on some Christmas cards and letters today.  I did something different this year for our family and friends that have e-mail, I prepared a special e-mail with graphics and included our Christmas letter in it rather than send it by the post office.  However, we have several that don't have e-mail so will do the traditional cards and letters.  I would like to get them mailed tomorrow.

Hi Summicron and all who stop by today.
