Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Judy, what an awful thing for Kass to go through.  Next week she should go to the Captain and make sure he knows that she is there.  And when he makes the presentation he should explain and apologize that it was a week late.

Pat

Thank you folks.

This is truly a very sad time.  I knew it would come sooner or later but try as you may, you are never really prepared for the end.

This is the last photo I took of him:

Having a "Siesta"

He managed to jump up onto my sofa and he knows he was never allowed up there but he arranged the pillow just right and was fast asleep and I took a photo of him sleeping which woke him up and then I took this one.

I truly will miss him.

Pat it will be very strange to come to your home and net have him meet John at the door.

JudyB

Jeanne the cadet who made the "mistake" will be spoken to.

Looks like this is to be a week of trauma and concern for Pat and I.  I have posted an urgent prayer request in Prayer and Praise.  Please look and please pray.

Jane Walker

I've just read your prayer request, Judy ... and I am praying.
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

Hi everyone.  It has been a full day and I didn't get here early this morning as I usually try to do.  It was 18 degrees here this morning and has stayed around freezing all day long.  They are saying we may see some snow on Thursday from an Alberta Clipper that will affect our weather.

I have spent several hours today reworking the rules for the Golden Games.  It has been a big project but I finished it this evening.    I attended a meeting this morning and then met Pat at Sam's where we had one of their Nathan's hotdog and then did some shopping.  I came home and rested for awhile and then back to working on the rules for the Games.

Pat, I am sad for your lose of your good friend.  I know he was an intergrel part of your life for many years and a great companion.

Judy, glad things are working out for your daughter with the Cadets.  Perhaps this was a growing experience for her.  I saw your posting in the Prayer section of CP and that is certainly alarming.

Carol, I still have a number of cousins in the Denver area.  However, I have no plans of ever returning to Denver as really felt bad when we were there.

Etta Sue, I understand the big "M" now, thanks for the info.

Janet, you are fortunate to get your car in before the timing belt breaks.  I have been told my the mechanics where I take my car that if it breaks it does terrible damage to the engine.  It is a shame all cars don't use timeing chains.  Guess this is built in maintenance for the mechanics.  Sure hope the strong antibiotic takes care of the infection for Darrel.  No wonder he was feeling so bad.

:)  Good day to all.   I know it has been a long time since Ihave been on the site and I do miss it but things have been busy and today I had my surgery for carpal tunnel and it is very uncomfortable right now.  Could you please pray that it heals very quickly as my wife does not drive and also we are going to be going to Florida in Feb.  Iwill try to read the other postings when this arm and hand gets a little less pain.

May the lord bless you all.  And may you all have a wonderful New Year.  Gord. <3

Scotty has graciously put a picture of Doug and Megan into the prayer request.  You can now see who you are praying for.

Larry Hanna

Good morning everyone.  I know I posted late yesterday but wanted to go ahead and post for today.

Gord, glad that surgery is behind you and do hope you heal quickly and will be much better by the time you get to Florida.  Right now it s pretty chilly down there but should warm up by February.

Our minister is on vacation so we are not having Bible Study today.  It will resume next week.

One of my friends that I have coffee with on many mornings had open heart surgery last week.  We heard yesterday that he is doing well with the surgery but had another health problem.  He is close to 80 years old and his wife is suffering with dementia.  Fortunately his daughter lives up the street from them and is a nurse so know she is being of help.

Ruth Ann Bice

Good morning, friends.

My little apartment seems mighty empty since my son left on his return to England. He gave me my last hug at the elevator door. He's dealing with some health issues and other matters, so would appreciate some prayer on his behalf.

Y'all have a good day.

Hello Everyone...

I want to thank you all for your condolences on the loss of my buddy.  I can't believe it actually.  I'm still in shock and to see the posts on Facebook from the many whose lives he touched is awesome indeed.

Did you all see that Sarah's little baby arrived safely?

Let's leave some nice cards and posts in here to her to congratulate her, ok?

Hi Pat,
I am so sorry to hear about Geordie!     I will be praying for God's comfort today.    Geordie was a special doggie.   I was with him and you all the way to North Bay and I know how wonderful a dog he was!

Thinking about you.    Will call tonight.

Love Ruthie

Pat

Thank you Ruthie...

I will look forward to your phone call.  It will take some time to realize that Geordie is no longer here.  It was almost as if I thought he'd live forever.

I didn't see the announcement for Sarah and the new baby girl.  Where is it?  But anyway, congratulations, Sarah!

Today it looks fairly nice out but we are to get 3-6 inches of snow tonight.  Today is taking Ivalou to the doctor's office.  Tomorrow is out-patient rehab.  We will see what tomorrow brings.

It is still cold.  I will be glad when this cold spell is over!!  Say, April!!

CONGRATULATIONS, SARAH!!  AND WELCOME, RUTH JEAN!

BRRRRR!!  It is c-c-cold here, with a vicious wind, and still no snow.  >:(

I went to Liberal today and it wasn't so cold when we left, but much colder by the time we came home.

Wind chills are in the minus region all over Kansas, and all but our dry corner is getting snow.  :(  WE WANT SNOW!

I stopped by to check on Beth this evening, because if tomorrow is as bad as they are predicting, I don't want to get out.  Just now, though, they are saying the REALLY bad day will be Friday.  We will wait and see, I guess. :-\

Sarah Congratulations!

Janet a lot of your life is waiting.  That can be a good thing but it also can be frustrating.  I pray you are waiting and resting.

Tried calling you today Ruthie... Will try again.

Etta Sue I sent you another graphic that moves....Amazing how they do this!

High school students are heading into exams at the end of the month.  My girls are already stressing.  I am sure the others are as well.

I am tired tonight so I am heading to bed early.  Early for me.

Night and God bless.

A late arrival to this post this week, congratulations Sarah on your baby and sorry to hear about Geordie Pat.His picture was the first picture I think i looked at on this site.A beautiful dog and companion. We are in the start of a heat wave. we are due to have about 3 days in a row of 40 degrees plus  celsius(very hot). we will be travelling to renmark SA this weekend as it is my father in laws 91st birthday. Prayers continuing for darryl.

geoff t in Adelaide south australia.

Larry Hanna

Hi everyone.  Congratulations Sarah on that new baby.  Glad both of you are well.

This morning I am having breakfast at IHOP with a special friend.  Of course, that will be after I go to coffee at McDonald's.

It is still cold here and we are preparing for snow late this afternoon or evening.  The mountains are to get up to 2 inches and our area somewhere between 1/2 to 1 inch.  Already schools have announced early dismissal and you would think we are getting a foot of snow with the tv stations making such a big deal about it.

Not much else new here.
