Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

I, of all people, would never know such things!  Only they are beautiful indeed!

I have no idea where I got that picture for my Welcome to Scott.  It is one of the first Welcome things I did.  Could have come from a lesson on PSP or just found it on the internet.  Just know it isn't from central Indiana...and I like it, too!

Kitty called this morning after I sent an email saying if she wanted to go out and about today to let me know.  So we went to Carmel to Michael's so she could watch a demonstration of silk screening.  I bought some suction cups and some Gardenia scented candles.  She wasn't impressed with the silk screen demo.  Then we went to Don Pablos for a late lunch...well, late lunch for me...a second lunch for Kitty!  Then I brought her by my house so she could see my floor and I took her home.

I found a car compass that I saw in this house while Mom was in the hospital but never saw it when we were cleaning the house and all after her death.  I found it the other night when a neighbor came to borrow Dad's old Bell and Howell 8mm Movie projector.  The compass was in a box of reels.  But it had a sticker thing to adhere it to the dash/window and I didn't want to use that.  So I found a suction cup to hang a wreath on and used a screw to screw the compass bracket in the suction cup!  It worked!  Then I put it in the car and had to adjust it.  Now I have a compass in my car!  Well, I had one on the GPS but I don't always have it on!

Now it is almost dark...where did the day go??

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

LOL Pat I took a second look as well!

I am glad the weather has improved.

I am just checking emails then on to bed.  I am tired tonight but my mind is racing so sleep won't come easy.

Pat give my love to Paul

Everyone have a good day tomorrow and may God richly bless you.

Pat

As we consider going to church tomorrow to worship our Father, let's sing this hymn together and remember the words carefully:

.

Draw Me Nearer
(Click to hear music)

Author: Fanny J. Crosby, 1820-1915
Musician: William H. Doane, 1832-1915

I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee.

Refrain
Draw me nearer, nearer blessed Lord,
To the cross where Thou hast died.
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessed Lord,
To Thy precious, bleeding side.

Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
By the power of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.

Refrain

O the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God
I commune as friend with friend!

Refrain

There are depths of love that I cannot know
Till I cross the narrow sea;
There are heights of joy that I may not reach
Till I rest in peace with Thee.

Refrain

Good morning.  I am all ready for church.  After Sunday School today, I am calling Kitty to tell her I am on the way and then we are headed to Kokomo Art Association for the Award Ceremony for the Photo Contest.  Since I got a first on my Computer Generated photo, I will be getting a monetary prize.  I am thinking $20 but if I get more I will be really surprised.  But the entry fees were more this year soooo.

Not sure what all we will be doing later.  Kitty was pretty tired last evening after our excursion yesterday.  She says she still feels that anesthetic in her!

It is raining and cold this morning.  It was predicting snow but I don't think that will happen.  Just hope all the spring blooms are touched by the cold.

We are off to Mariah's birthday party.  She is such a sweetie and Melaura is such a good mommy. I am not sure how this is going to go as we have to have the girls at cadets from 4-6 and the party is 3-6.  I am taking the camera and perhaps be able to post some pictures.

I will be back later

God bless

Pat

We'll be looking forward to seeing the photos, Judy.

Give Melaura my love.

Bright and sunny here on the island today.  Ah.....the joy of Spring. :)

Al, thanks for the kind words about my picture of.....what were they called again? ;)  My knowledge of flowers is also very limited.  Do they have a book for Gardening Dummies?

Proud to say my (from scratch) Angel Food Cake turned out well.  I got the recipe from YouTube.  How I love YouTube.  Watch the most wonderful Classical Music  Videos........also some not so classic country ones.  Of course Gospel, etc.  I spent most of my life doing computer accounting and never thought the day would come when I would simply enjoy spending time on one.

Time to get busy.  Pleasant Day/Evening and God Bless.

Well, as I asked when I opened this topic last Sunday that we all post a lot and make this a great week in "Thoughts for the Week", you all did!

This will be the 104th post this week.

But we can all do better.

So, let's try harder next week after our new "Thoughts for the Week" is opened!

As the Deer Panteth for the Water
(Click to hear music)

Written by Martin Nystrom

Psalm 42:1
"As the hart panteth after the water brooks,
so panteth my soul after thee, O God."

As the deer panteth for the water,
So my soul longs after you.
You alone are my hearts desire,
And I long to worship You.

Chorus
You alone are my strength, my shield;
To You alone may my spirit yield.
You alone are my hearts desire,
and I long to worship You.

I want you more than gold or silver,
Only You can satisfy.
You alone are the real joy giver
And the apple of my eye.

Chorus
You alone are my strength, my shield;
To You alone may my spirit yield.
You alone are my hearts desire,
and I long to worship You.

You're my friend and You're my brother,
Even though you are a King.
I love You more than any other
So much more than anything.

Chorus
You alone are my strength, my shield;
To You alone may my spirit yield.
You alone are my hearts desire,
and I long to worship You.

Al:  Prayers for your leg situation.

Here is some disturbing news.

     http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2009-03-29-morocco-missionaries_N.htm?csp=34

We are going to the airport in an hour or so - Laura is leaving today.  She had 20 in. of snow in the last storm in Colorado and was just barely able to make it to the airport from her house.  Denver had about ten inches.  We have taken walks/hikes every day here and had the best of any visit - going to miss her but we will be back to watch her children in April as she & hubby fly to New York so that is something terrific to look forward to when we return.

Pat

Thanks for that link, Carol.

We must pray for these missionaries.

Nita

For some reason my antivirus program wouldn't let me stay at the page Carol linked to.  I clicked on it twice, trying to read, and the virus message came up both times.  I guess it's over diligent?

We are having beautiful weather today.  I'm sitting here by the window, feeling the sunshine, head phones on as I type, and listening to Fairest Lord Jesus, played on piano by Chris Rice.  So beautiful.  And I'm listening to Pandora of course.  I have my Faith Sounds station pretty much as I like it now. :)

Pat, I'm sorry about Judy losing the use of her legs.  Bless her heart.  I pray the surgery will be successful for what must be done, and that the Lord will give them both, she and Norm, His own peace and comfort.

I voted and it was hard.  I think I mentioned it a few pages back, but wasn't sure.

OH..........another beautiful song just came on.  Just As I Am played by Tom Kimmel, a guitar solo.    Aren't we just so blessed to have the gift of music used by these artists for the glory of God?  Music touches us in the deepest places.  The devil tried to steal it, counterfeit it, but God kept secure that which He had given......the gift of music.  You can sure tell the difference, can't you?  One grates me, the other makes me fall more in love with the Master, Jesus. :)

Liz

I guess we all march to a different beat, Nita.  Frankly, a lot of the Christian music and artists grate on my nerves.  Since I have been a strong (saved) believer for almost 40 yrs., it is my belief that we can love God in different ways.  There is so much beauty still to be found in the world, for those with an open mind and heart.

              :)
CHANGE NOT THY FAITH WITH CHANGING TIMES

Larry Hanna

Hi everyone.  We arrived home safely from Florida about 5:30.  I drove all the way and we left at 7:30 this morning.  It is hard to believe the traffic that I-75 has as it was pretty well packed throughout the 500 mile trip.  Needless to say I am tired and will be retiring early tonight.  We had a very nice visit but glad to be home.

Pat

We're glad to see you safe and sound at home again, Larry.  How many miles is that trip one way?  Sounds as if it's like from Winchester, VA to Guelph.  That is about 410 miles one way.
