Morning Devotional... There they crucified Him. Luke 23:33
The ultimate crime!
The supreme blasphemy!
The vilest obscenity!
The grossest stupidity!
Sinners defiled and dead to God, actually nailed "Him" to the wood.
He, the loveliest Man who ever walked the dust of earth. He healed their brokenhearted, dried their tears, and blessed their little children. He brought the Word of heaven to their hearts and would open heaven to their souls.
Who were "they"?
People like you and me. But, praise the Lord, He did it to procure forgiveness for people like you and me.
~J. Boyd Nicholson~For me Thou has borne the reproaches,
the mockery, hate, and disdain;
The blows and the spittings of sinners,
the scourging, the shame, and the pain;
To save me from bondage and judgment,
Thou gladly hast suffered for me--
A thousand, a thousand thanksgivings,
I bring, blessed Saviour, to Thee.
Congrats to Christian Photographers for being publicly online for 7 full years!! What an accomplishment. I, myself, haven't been a big participant as I've just begun my new small Photography Business but would like to share some of the photo plus art I've worked on over the past few months, with constructive feedback welcome.
I think it's great there is a site like this, even though, in all truth I have had a bit of a harder time navigating around this site in comparison to various other social online networks I belong too. God is in control of it all and with 7 year of your service online, that definitely means something special!!
Blessings to everybody that runs this site as well as members who activily participate in it

~Cecilia
Hi Cecilia!
Thanks for posting! It's great to have you here. And thanks, too, for voting in the poll above.
I'd love to see some of your photography!
Thanks for the devotional. It has been wonderful to remember all that the Lord has done for us. Praise His name.
7 years online - that is an achievement. Let me think - that means Janet Damon started posted when she was 14 - well done Janet! :D
I am a little tired this morning, but looking forward to the day. It's a bit cold here in the U.K. but I don't think we have as much rain as the forecasters threatened us with
I hope everyone has a blessed day and God bless you all.
Anthony.
<3 Anthony--you noticed!
I'm just buzzing past before leaving for work this morning, will be back later in the day.
We had a lovely afternoon with Diane, Jeff, Abby and Beth here. They are lovely people! :)
Judy Mc! How nice to see your post, and welcome back!

Cecilia, I'm so happy that you are joining us on this 7th Anniversary of our site. You'll find this is a wonderful place for friendship, prayer support, praise for blessings and of course wonderful photography.
Beautiful devotional for this week, Pat.
Celia I am looking forward to seeing your work. I am not much of a technical critic, but I do enjoy good and unusual photography!.
Pat it is hard to believe it has been seven years already. God bless you as you continue here.
Cecilia, thanks for posting today and it's nice to hear from you. I hope you do post some of your photos onto the forum. It would be good to see them.
Janet, I'm glad that you had a good time yesterday. I hope all goes well at work and see you soon.
Jeanne, nice poster. Did you do that in psp? I haven't used psp for ages.
I had a good morning at work. I went into my new client who had great difficulty moving around and there was hardly any room to move in his place, but it was a good time and he was a very nice person.
I am just going to do some language learning and then Bible study and have a little nap ;) Speak to you all soon.
Anthony. p.s. Hello Judy.
Welcome Cecilia! Glad you're here! I was here when it all began, and, praise the Lord, I'm still here now. It's been a great place to come, to share our faith and photography, and to know that our Lord is here with each and every one of us! I echo the others - please post some of your photos, as we'd love to see them!

Good morning. I have already taken the trash out and Ivalou and I have been to rehab. She is only doing physical therapy this week since the speech therapists is on vacation and there wasn't anyone available to take her place. Then Ivalou and I stopped at a little place for breakfast. We saw another couple of ladies there and had some nice visits with them.
Now I am home until this evening when I go to church for the Council Meeting.
It is suppose to be raining according to the predictions but 'they' are wrong again! Yeah! It is bright and sunny!!(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi195.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fz77%2FEttaSue%2FCP%2FAnis%2F%253Cbr%2520%2F%253ECrosses.gif&hash=a20248754210521e37b5468eb257de739e5571d0)

Hi everyone. My not feeling well turned out to be the flu and it really had a drastic effect on my strength and desire to do anything. I am happy to say this morning I feel like a human being again and felt like catching up on a number of things. I hadn't read any messages here for about 4 days and felt I was really behind.
I enjoyed the Easter related items and discussions. I did go to church yesterday. I did not participate in the processional and sat during the singing of the hymns. I find that singing is very tiring as is standing an walking while singing. I probably will continue this practice as several times have become ill while trying to get through a service. I hope this will extend the time I will be able to participate in choir.
The only positive from the last week is that I lost about 7 pounds as just have no appetite. It is still not back to normal but is better as I had an orange this morning.
As soon as church was over we came home and I spent several hours resting. The choir had done a beautiful new anthem and then sang the Hallelujah chorus from "The Messiah". We also had Communion. It was really nice to see the santuary filled with people.
Not going to make any individually addressed comments today. See you all tomorrow.
So glad you're feeling human again, Larry. <3
I, also, was here "when this all began" and am very grateful for each one who posts here and, especially, for the ones who do all the behind the scenes work ... and I'm aware of just how much work it can become. <3
I will be leaving California today ... as soon as Joy and John emerge from sleep and we can get some last minute business taken care of.
I called to check on how Tom is doing last evening and got a good report ... again! The morning nurse had left a report that he was "singing" with them and was in good spirits. I'm so happy for that. Tom loves to sing and, when I visited him on Friday, he was keeping time with his hands, and nodding his head as the nurses sang while they were getting him settled into his bed after being up for over 3 hours. Yesterday, the nurse told me he had been up once again for more than three hours. God is good and I continue to expect great things for Tom and his recovery.
The next time I post here, I will be home in Oregon.
I am pleased to see Cecilia joining us and will be looking forward to viewing the photography she has to share.
Hello to everyone and I would also like to welcome Cecilia. I haven't visited this site in awhile but will be coming back more often now. I'm happy you're feeling better Larry as I know the flu can really knock one for a loop.
Congratulations to all those who started this site and to all the workers who kept it going for these seven years. Of course, the devoted members are included in this success too.
Wonderful to read your posts---but not yours Larry. I'm truly saddened to read that you are not well. Please take care.
Hi Kathy!
Drive safely Jane!
Anthony, what kind of work are you doing now?
It is hard to believe that I have been coming to this site since Dec 2003. Time sure fly's.
Happy Anniversary to all who participate and for those that just drop in every-so-often and to those that have come and left for other pastures.
My thanks to those who got together and decided that this site w.b the thing to do. Thanks also to those that adminster and keep this site updated and going.
Thanks to you Pat, who invited me to this site after she saw I caught some flak on Senior Net site for posting my christian point of view.
See ya real soon...why? Because I like you.
Aint seed ya for a while, Ed. Glad to see your here now. I'm one of those long-time members, but I'm of the less photographic variety. Anyway, good to see that avatar again!
Wow, I only joined a couple of years ago. I didn't realize how long you had been around. CONGRATULATIONS!!! And best for many more years. It is indeed nice to have a Christian network to go to.
I've been here two years now, and I've loved every minute of it.
Thanks guys.
Had a good day with Kass today. We went out as we had no hydro. What a great time.
Welcome to all the newbies who posted. Good to hear from you.
Larry I am praying, Jane you too.
I have been here since day 1 also. Yep since the beginning.
I am back from my California trip. I had a good time with the family and with Willa and her family. It was so awesome to go to my home church. I stood at the door with the greeters and welcomed the people as they came in, It was the most natural thing for me to do since I was THE greeter there for years.
On the trip home I ran into all sorts of weathers. Sleet, Rain, Snow and Wind. It was an interesting trip all that weather was in California once I got into Oregon it was just rain now and then never very heavy.
:) Good evening to all and to the new people that are posting. I cannot remember how long I have been on C.P. but as soon as I post this I will .
Larry: I hope that you are looking after yourself and just don't overdue it as it is so easy to want to do more than your body can take :)
Pat : Thanks for the devotional and hope that all is well please say hi to Paul.
Al: How are things going re your health I hope that it is better.
Well may the Lord be with all who posted and God bless the rest of the week. :cp:
Happy 7TH. ANNIVERSARY.
:) Well now that I know I have been here since the begining also. I also cannot believe that it is 7 years gone by so fast. Good night to all. Gord.
A big WELCOME to Celia, and as are the others, I am looking forward to seeing some of your photography.
Larry, so sad to hear you've not been well, but so glad you are now on the mend. Please take care of Larry for us, you are special to all of us.
I have just now succeeded in getting online, as the wind was really bad this afternoon, and we couldn't get on.
I am sorting out some clothing to donate to the senior center. We have garage sales pretty often, then what is left is picked up by the Salvation Army, or donated to people here who need it, or sent to a soldiers' home in Fort Dodge. It is good to know it won't just be thrown into the trash, but used by someone who needs it.
I need to get back to my sorting; I have a pile on the floor and don't want to fall over it in the night. ;)
See you all another day!
Congrats Christian Photographers, 7 years, wow, cool! i have been here nearly 1 year the 18th of this month and time has just slipped away so quickly. I found this site by looking up Christian Photographers as I wanted share phtoographs with like minded people, and be a witness for God, too, it has been a pleasure...I occasionally pop in the Thoughts for the Week and leave a howdy. I don't always address everyone but i do enjoy others thoughts & comments. And the photo sharing I do more of but not lately-it comes & goes, the same as for any other site too...I'm glad you're here Christian Photographers!!!
I have my two grandkids here who will be with us a few days maybe a week. and have been watching my 3m grandson while mommy n daddy work...It seems so familiar having little ones around & have been quite enjoying them much...
Have a great, wonderful-blessed evening/morning everyone and remember---'Jesus is Lord' and 'the joy of the Lord is our strength'...
Being new here, I don't know all the persons involved, but congratulations to each who felt the calling to make the happen 7 years ago. May the Lord bless and guide your efforts as you continue.
:) Good morning to BIG SKY KEN I thought that I was the only one that stays up late but welcome to the site and I do hope that all of us can be an encouragement to you as you share your prayer request and your needs and also go on the other parts of C.P. Well I must get to my bed as it will be soon time to get up again.
Happy 7th. Birthday Christian Photographers!
:cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :angel2: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
Belated Easter greetings to all. We went to a 10 AM service at the church with about 2,500 people and the big crowd was at an outdoor gathering - the service was real time broadcast to us while we sat in comfy seats indoors. Then, Easter dinner & gathering with half of our children and only one grand.
A cousin called and they arrived and have left already for Minnesota. While she was here, we had a phone call that our auntie Maralee had died at the age of 92 - it was the flu virus at an assisted living. So, Don and I are getting things settled here and will drive back for a funeral on Monday.
Pat: You have not been to Virginia for a long time? Prayers for your arm and shoulder healing. The flowers should be blooming there now.
Larry: Please take it easy and rest - praying for your health and that you feel better soon. My group sewing tonight is called "Fat Quarters" - Pat will like that name.
Celia: Welcome - it sounds like you have been away for a while - so come and sit down and chat with us.
tonight is Sewing club and I don't have anything ready and my back is sore so I need to mend and get things accomplished around here.
Well, it's good to find out what's goin' on. I've valued CP very, very highly these past seven years! I really like to be able to find out what our Lords been doing in each life. That's a blessing.
Judy - I'm up every morning by some time between 4 and 5:30. I've always been an early riser, as I greatly enjoy those early morning hours when all is quiet. Today I go to a place called The Coffee Break over in the next town, read the paper and whatever book I'm currently reading. Sometimes one or more people from the church, etc. show up and we fellowship. Then Marbeth & I go over to the CoOp and purchase a few things on Senior Discount Day, then back home again. Then I'll read here to see what new opinions, thoughts, etc. might be here by then.

Good morning...still. What a beautiful day in Indiana. Too nice to be inside, for sure! I have some things I would like to do and what am I doing? Sitting here at the laptop telling all of you 'Good Morning!'
I have noticed that the sod farmer is back from Florida with his wife. For some reason Joy mowed part of my yard, all of Ivalou's and all of Kaye Don's yard yesterday! When they are in Florida, they are neighbors of Kaye Don and Barb's. Today I see Mel is fertilizing his sod!
My Forsythia is in bloom and my Narcisus is blooming. Wish I could bring some in and put in a vase but Ali would have them demolished in no time. Perhaps I will take some to Ivalou. They smell so good!
It is so great to see so many posting. Just like Easter Sunday and seeing the pews full. CP Anniversary and the posting is outstanding!o0^0o_o0^0o_o0^0o_o0^0o_o0^0o_o0^0o_o0^0o_o0^0o_o0

Good Morning everyone. It is good to see you all and hear about your lives. I don't posts as often as I used to, as I am pretty busy these days will lessons to complete on my computer, and taking care of the big house. Today I am going to clean two of the bathrooms and vacuum the family and living rooms, then after Keith gets hone fro work we will go to Walmart to finish up the grocery shopping, he enjoys shopping with me so I usually wait until he cam gp. I went to the Grocery Outlet yesterday to do some of the shopping, we still have to buy meat and a few other things that we are just about out of.
Yesterday when I first got into the grocery Outlet it started to sleet and boy oh boy was it loud on that roof, but by the time I was ready to leave it had toned down to a light rain, however that didn't last long, It poured rain off and on yesterday and it was so cold that poor Happy was chattering his teeth, I rubbed him good to warm him up. I don't keep the heat turned up in the rest of the house that we are not using at the time. But do keep the heat on in the computer room since that is where I am most of the time. So the dogs stay in here with me most of the time too.
I went with Megan to her Doctors appt. What a pleasure that was! She has about four and a half weeks left. Heard the heart beat...healthy and loud.
Well we had a great day. Did some shopping, and generally enjoyed ourselves.
Anthony good to see you.....Ed. and all the others.
Al I am not a morning person at all. Now to be up after midnight...that is more my style, John is a morning person, that worked well when we were driving truck together.
Have a great rest of the day everyone.
Hello everyone. It has been good to read all of the posts. I was late coming home this evening and can't reply to everyone personally. Sorry for that. I went to see some friends of my mothers. The husband is taking chemotherapy. He has it in his bones. The wife has a clot on her brain and is unable to walk. As we sat together we spoke of the faithfulness of God and how God remains faithful throughout all of the various stages of life. What a comfort to know this when we feel the body packing up.
I am going to bed early tonight because I have to go into Birmingham after work to the dental hospital. I dislike going there. This is the biggest city in my county and there are so many people it is impossible to walk and be relaxed. The last time I went to the dental hospital, two men were fighting because one bumped into the other as he strolled past and didn't apologise. :idiot:
Thanks for all of the posts and God bless to you all.
Anthony.
Hi everyone. It is another beautiful day here in Georgia. It is going into the mid to hi 80s this afternoon. We just now turned on the air conditioning for the first time. We had a hot afternoon and evening yesterday and think it iwill be needed only for today.
Tomorrow morning is the opening ceremonies for the Senior Golden Games and they will continue for a month. My next big job with them will be to post the results so need to get the website ready. Pat and I will go tomorrow and they always have a nice lunch and the opportunity to win some nice door prizes. Last year they used gift cards for the gifts and that was very popular versus something that the person probably didn't want beyond the enjoyment of winning. We will be done shortly after noon. I have done the webwork for this organization and the paperwork needed for the last several years.
It is nice to read the comments of everyone regarding how long they have participated at this site. While I know many others have helped it has been the leadership and vision of Pat to start this site. If you ever have the opportunity to meet Pat (and Paul) do so. They are delightful Christian folks and a joy to be with.
Marilyn, hope you have had a safe trip home.
Hope you are feeling better Larry. Take it easy for a while.
I think it would be nice if we all sang this together! ;)

Victory in Jesus (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/victory.mid)
(Click to hear music)
Words and Music by Eugene. M. Bartlett
I heard an old, old story, How a Saviour came from glory,
How He gave His life on Calvary To save a wretch like me;
I heard about His groaning, Of His precious blood's atoning,
Then I repented of my sins And won the victory.
Chorus:
O victory in Jesus, My Saviour, forever,
He sought me and bought me With His redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him And all my love is due Him,
He plunged me to victory, Beneath the cleansing flood.
I heard about His healing, Of His cleansing pow'r revealing,
How He made the lame to walk again And caused the blind to see;
And then I cried "Dear Jesus, Come and heal my broken spirit,"
And somehow Jesus came and bro't To me the victory.
Chorus:
O victory in Jesus, My Saviour, forever,
He sought me and bought me With His redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him And all my love is due Him,
He plunged me to victory, Beneath the cleansing flood.
I heard about a mansion He has built for me in glory,
And I heard about the streets of gold Beyond the crystal sea;
About the angels singing, And the old, redemption story,
And some sweet day I'll sing up there The song of victory.
Chorus:
O victory in Jesus, My Saviour, forever,
He sought me and bought me With His redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him And all my love is due Him,
He plunged me to victory, Beneath the cleansing flood.

Wow, I can't believe it.
I just checked when I registered--it was 7 years ago.
My , how time flies when you're having fun.
I do enjoy this site....mostly I have been reading for the last 7 years and every now and then ; I jump in and get my feet wet..
Thanks to all who keep this site going and going and going
I love that one Pat.
Hi Joyce! Yep! 7 years! Isn't that wonderful?
New Members
I hope that all of our regular members will go to our Introductions Area (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?board=42.0) and help to give our new members a big :welcome:
Congratulations and Happy seventh anniversary to Pat and any others who were involved in forming this site seven years ago, and have kept it interesting and edifying to all who visit here! :hb2:
Although I joined four years ago, I haven't been as active as many others here, but always enjoy my time here when I do stop in. Being a casual photographer, I guess my favorite forum here is the Photo Challenge, because it's fun as well as instructive and uplifting. Unlike many other photography sites, most of the participants here are not professional photographers with top-of-the-line, expensive equipment, so it's not quite so intimidating to go ahead and enter a couple of photos.
God continue to bless your ministry here, and grant Christian Photographers many more years of fruitful service for Him!
Thanks, Jim, for that lovely post. It's always good to see you here.
:) Pat. Thank you for that great old hymn. Noreen and I stood and sang it at our computer and it sure did bring back many memories at 69 Sheppard Ave west. There were so many good times there and it is good to be able to be in touch with you still.
Larry: Hope that you and Pat are looking after yourselves and not overdoing things. :coffee:
Judy B.: Hi how are things going I do hope that your daughter-in-law is doing well and that you are looking after yourself also. Say hi yo John.
Etta Sue. I see that you are still keeping busy and it sounds that Ivalou sounds that things are going well for her Praise the Lord for her recovery that continues :)
Anthony: Is it still the usual rainy old wet country over there ? When I first left the British Isles it was raining and the first time I went back it was doing the same thing. It is very hard to here about a family that has the problems that you talked about on you post but we will all be praying for them. I know what it is like to have one close to you so sick but God gets us through. God Bless.
Marilyn: Don't work to hard as there is always tomorrow but it does get to be to much sometime. Look after yourself and your man and God will give you the strength that you need.
Well may the Lord be with you all the rest of this week and may his Richest blessings be upon you. :) :cp:
Pat,
Congratulations on the anniversary of Christian Photographers! It was your site that got me really motivated to do more with my love for photography, and I am grateful. <3
In His Grip,
Kevin

Wonderful day yesterday working on things from church. The minister's wife sent me a Power Point and said she wished we could use the images on the overhead but without the words on the images. So I opened it in my Microsoft Power Point and took out the words and 'saved image as' to my Pictures. So now I have 17 images to upload for Spring/Summer at church. Then I turned on Sunday Plus and saw that we can put Power Point Presentations (.ppt) on Sunday Plus. So again I opened the same Power Point Slide Show (.pps) in Microsoft Power Point, took off the words again and saved it as a .ppt file. You then copy it from your computer to a 'cue' in Sunday Plus and then we can view it on the overhead! So I was thrilled that I learned something new that could be used at church. It also kept the music on the .ppt. ...... I know...too much information!
Now I am waiting for someone to call me and say that I can take my thumb drive to church and upload images to the computer there.
Today looks gloomy and suppose to rain. Nothing yet. Ivalou has rehab at 1pm and then we are done for the day! ~@~@~@~@~@~@~@~@~@~@~@~@~@~@~@~@~@~@

Etta Sue, I love that "The Beginning" graphic.
How about a chuckle from my email this morning?
Wilderness Trip
The first carload of Boy Scouts had left my house minutes earlier, bound for our three-day wilderness trip. As I backed my own van load of Scouts out of my garage, I noticed a pair of hiking boots on the back steps, so I stopped to retrieve them.
An hour later, we caught up with the first car, which was parked at a highway rest stop. Seeing me pull up, my assistant Scout leader rolled down his window. "Your wife just called on my cell phone," he said. "She asked if you knew anything about the plumber's boots that were on your back steps."
*Thanks to Pastor Tim for this joke!*

HAhahahaha Jeanne too funny!!
Etta Sue never too much info about puter applications. I show the info to Kassie and she knows how to do it!
No answering any other comments except to say we are all fine and John as usual is working hard.
We have a cold wet day today with snow on the forecast for tomorrow. After a weekend of 80+degrees this is really a shock to the system.
Have a good day everyone.
I think I am slowly coming back from the extreme exhaustion I felt these past few daze. I have a lot of sorting, cleaning and putting away to do, but that will happen sooner or later. :)
It is good to be home! May be cold and overcast but it's home! I'm not too sure just what I will be doing today, but I will be around here and possibly posting a time or two. ;)
Y'all take care and have a wonderful day in the Lord ... Be well, be safe and be happy. <3
I,too, like to come and relax..
This is a great forum for that..You have so many interesting forums going on to review and learn from.
I especially enjoy "Manna for the Soul"--Every day , I NEED to be refreshed by HIS word and I find that my home here seems to be the Manna forum
I just studied a wonderful bible passage and message that I will share shortly there.
We know, as a believer of the word, that we will be sharing our eternity with our Heavenly Father and I thought the message that I am going to post there helped me understand a little more about Heaven.
I know dear Al, can add more to the message as he is far more informed on bible studies than I can ever be.
But I keep on trying to learn more and more, so that is why I love this forum--we have friends who share and sharing helps us all.
Thank you for that
I want to remind you of God's phone number. It's Jeremiah 33:3.
Call on me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which thou knowest not.'

Isn't the Love of Jesus Something Wonderful? (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/isntLoveOfJesusWonderful.mid)
Author: John W. Peterson, b. 1921
Musician: John W. Peterson, b. 1921
There will never be a sweeter story,
Story of the Saviour's love divine,
Love that brought Him from the realms of glory
Just to save a sinful soul like mine.
Refrain:
Isn't the love of Jesus something wonderful,
Wonderful, wonderful!
O isn't the love of Jesus something wonderful!
Wonderful it is to me.
Boundless as the universe around me,
Reaching to the farthest soul away—
Saving, keeping love it was that found me;
That is why my heart can truly say:
Love beyond our human comprehending,
Love of God in Christ— how can it be?
This will be my theme and never ending,
Great, redeeming love of Calvary.

What a lovely hymn to sit and sing today, Judy! Thanks!
Good Morning, I have been here to read much earlier, didn't post at that time. I have had another busy morning, after Keith went to work, I checked my email and read the posts here and over in the Abuse Survivors forum on S&F, then I boiled some rice and cooked up some ground turkey with some mixed veggies and the juice from a pork loin added the rice and some rosemary and Parmesan cheese, This is for the dogs. The get one heaping tablespoonful on their kibble twice per day.
Then I ,made the bed and finished getting dressed, put on a little makeup and got 4 shirts out of the top of the closet that I will iron for Keith later. After that I put what cooked for the dogs into two quart size Tupperware containers (as it was cooled by then) and cleaned up my mess in the kitchen, I pulled the plastics out of the dishwasher and washed those too.
It is a beautiful day here today Although only 46° for now. I will walk the dogs after dinner (lunch for those who don't know that dinner is the meal you eat at noon ;) )and Keith goes back to work, I will iron his shirts also this afternoon.
I am going to make some fried brown rice with fresh garlic from my garlic garden chopped up in the rice,. I fry the uncooked rice until it is a light brown color add the water and let it cook for the required time, It comes out nice and fluffy and not stuck together that way. We will also have a nice green salad and a marinated broiled half chicken breast. I marinate the chicken in Italian salad dressing.
Have a blessed day all y-all, I have to get busy.
Sounds like a busy day planned, Marilyn! ;)
Seven year anniversary my the time has gone fast.
Etta Sue: I sure wish that I could move around power point with confidence will you come and spend some time with me ?
Larry: I look forward to your words of encouagement as well.
Marilyn: I am glad that you enjoyed your time with family.
Janet: It seems that you never retire, keep well.
It has been wonderful spending time with all of you this afternoon.
About the day & night folk my family lived with the saying that we should go to bed when the birds do and wake up around the same time. It works best for me.
Today was our coffee morning, one of the folk there had got a phone call from someone that was doing their family tree and they have now been connected more relatives. I enjoy hearing these stories.
A day of rain and wind the rain is sure needed. Ruth
Ruth that was how John was raised as well, but I was always a night hawk. We work it out and have a good life.
Had a call from Kass this afternoon. Totally frustrated with school. She is bright and finds helping those who have a harder time makes school easier.
I have the fire going, it is warm in here now. God bless you all
JudyB
Hi everyone. This has been a delightful day. First the weather is great. After coffee three of us went to the gym and I walked a mile without any problem and only one rest period. I am feeling great yesterday and today.
Pat and I attended out Golden Games Opening ceremonies I spoke of yesterday. There were 328 registered this year and probably 240-250 came to the opening luncheon. The food was delicious with a meal of baked chicken or pulled pork, green beans, corn, cold slaw, rolls, and a dessert. The gift bag contained a very nice insulted lunch bag with the games emblem on it. We didn't win any of the door prizes that were given away but another chance at the closing ceremonies next month. Today I have choir practice, a great way to end off a day.
The final great thing today was a call from Kaiser Permenente saying they had schedule payment of an outstanding bill on Pat's foot surgery last fall. It has been a long process and a bill collection agency has been calling us daily on it (we let the answering machine pick up the call) so hopefully that will stop in a day to two when the payment gets processed by the Hospital.
It is so nice to read all of the posting here. Ruth, if you want to play around with creating and working with powerpoint type presentations you can do it from the Google documents that go with a Google e-mail account. It is called "presentation" and it is a free program.
Judy, I liked the bit on God's telephone number.
My this evening is dragging. Kass is at a Doug's. She is a chatterbox, but I miss the chatter.
I am heading to bed very soon. God bless everyone here.
Here I am at the end of another busy day. I worked this morning, then changed shirts, grabbed my red and purple feather clips, picked up Pat, and we met a bunch of other ladies and carpooled to Elkhart for our Red Hats lunch. The son of one of our members lives there and owns a new restaurant. He and his wife served us a delicious meal of barbecued brisket or pork, cole slaw, potato casserole, baked beans, a biscuit, drinks, and then caramel apple cheesecake for dessert. Whew. Too much food, but very good.
After we got home, I rested for a while, then went to the library to meet with the group who get together on Wednesdays to do a scrapbook page. We did a really nice one for Easter photos.
Tomorrow Darrel and I plan to go to Garden. He gets his prescriptions filled there, and I need new shoes. Our days are running out before we leave on our trip.
The group who scrapbook together are an inspiration, as all are Christians, and we enjoy sharing our blessings and prayer requests with each other. I wonder how much longer we will have the freedom even to mention the name of Jesus in public? I pray for our country!
It's getting late, and I have been up since five AM, so think I'd better shower and hit the hay! Goodnight!
So glad you had a lovely day, Janet. I'd like to do some scrapbooking. I have a huge kit of Creative Memories (is that what it's called?) and just haven't got into it yet.
Sleep well.
Good morning Gord. Looks like you, Jane and I are the only ones left to keep the fire stoked tonight! Hope you all have a blessed day, I'm calling it a night!
Yes, Pat, Creative Memories is one of the leading brands of scrapbooking supplies. Hope your arm feel better soon so you can get into that kit and get started. I found a nice ballet album at Joann.com on sale for $4.95 that will be lovely for Abby's ballet photos. She has another recital coming up right after we get home from Costa Rica.
I'm up early doing laundry. I have a chiropractor appointment at 8:45, then we will head to Garden. I have so much to do that I hope we get home early enough to do part of it. I am really hoping the wind doesn't blow again today. :-\
My sister has published three more books, and will have another book signing which she had hoped I would do for her. And I would; except she is coming while I am gone! I am disappointed, but it will be okay. I hope she has a great turnout for it.
Time to go get dressed and ready to go to the doctor. See you all later.
(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi195.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fz77%2FEttaSue%2FCP%2FAnis%2FHoundDog.gif&hash=0ac0fd038604eeffe6ff86e8cc86c35da39bcb65)
As for Power Point, I have never done anything from scratch. I just load files I have into it and play around. My biggest problem is whether to 'save' or not to 'save'. I sure don't want the original gone. Now if they would ever get the clarity on YouTubes to be half as good as the clarity on .pps files, YouTube would be outstanding!
I went to Kitty's after I got back from rehab yesterday. I needed a blank thumb drive to put files on to be printed for the Memory Book for my class of 1960. I didn't stay long.
I am either getting a cold or I have allergies. I had windows open day before yesterday and have had a sore throat after sleeping for two nights. Also I am a little congested. I am coughing like mad and my eyes water. I have never been bothered by allergies but I also have never been 67 years old before!
Today is my Class of 1960 luncheon and then Kitty and I are going to Office Depot and start the printing for the Memory Book. What started out being a low cost project is getting to be very costly for Bob and Kitty. I am thinking we need to ask for donations to help with their cost.
It is cloudy and gloomy and cold. Back down into the 40's. So I guess I had better dress warmer today and wear a jacket. (in case this is a cold and not an allergy) >^..^< >^..^< >^..^< >^..^< >^..^< >^..^< >^..^< >^..^<

Etta Sue, you are one of the busiest people I know! I don't know how you do it. But maybe my extra ten years has something to do with it? ;D
And then there's Janet, also always on the go. :D
Sunshine this morning but possible thunder showers this afternoon and evening and then temperatures back to the normal mid- to upper-forties. Much better than below zero!

It is c-c-c-cold. Snow, rain, freezing rain, wind, yukky weather. Furnace is slow to take off.
It is hard at times to Praise the Lord when things seemingly go wrong. Yet that is what we are commanded to do. When we do, there are blessings that we never imagine. So lets continue to Praise the Lord.
Today is our actual Anniversary Date.
It was 7 years ago today that I bought the domain name of christianphotographers.com and worked with Oldiesmann to open this website.
Happy Anniversary

Happy Anniversary Christian Photographers. Its wonderful that the website has survived this amount of time. I do not post often in here as i do not take that many photos, especially during the winter. As the weather slowly improves, i am looking forward to getting out and about more often with my camera. I have always found this forum so friendly and for that, i thank you all.
And thank you Pat for the heads up about the 7 year anniversary
Hi everyone. We are awaiting the rain which we are suppose to have this afternoon. I just put our cars outside the garage so hopefully the pine pollen will be washed off of them. Yesterday the pollen was at a new high. Hope this will take care of the pine pollen as it turns everything it hits yellow. The other pollen are so fine you can't see them.
After coffee and walking this morning I went to Ace Hardware and spent a bundle. We have never had a good garden hose so got one, new spray nozzles, a powerstrip and extension cord for Pat to take to the quilting retreat so she will be able to hook up her machine. She has been working this morning to be sure it is cleaned and in tip top shape. I know she is looking forward to this retreat.
I am eating lunch and then will rest for awhile. I hope to get my hard drive cloned this afternoon. It has been a year since I did it. It isn't hard but I have to take the side of the computer off and hook up a second hard drive, clone to it, change the cables and reboot the computer. Then reconnect the cables as they were.
I have a few other minor projects to tackle but may not get to them this afternoon.
Janet, it is nice you enjoy the scrapbooking so much. Pat has never gotten into doing anything like that (should I be glad about that? :) )
Etta Sue, if you can move graphics to powerpoint then you could easily create original presentations. I am sure you could probably find some good tutorials on how to do it.
Pat, those have been a quick seven years. Hope we all see at least seven more.
Larry, maybe you should be glad Pat hasn't gotten into scrapbooking (yet.) It is pretty addictive, and new products come out all the time. It might be a good thing there isn't a Hobby Lobby closer than 80 miles from me! Sounds as if you have had a busy day today, glad you felt up to doing all those things.
Jeanne and Ruth, thanks for the kind words. Yes, I do stay busy, but I enjoy life, too.
We went to Garden; I got two pairs of new shoes, Darrel got his prescriptions filled, then we ate at Applebee's and headed home. Darrel wanted to get here in time to order his diabetic shoes and get his nitro refilled at our drugstore. I have my last load of laundry in the dryer, so that's done for a few more days!
I have so many things to do yet before we leave! Sure hope I don't forget anything vital. Trying to cut down on weight in our luggage, as the airlines keep cutting the allowances.......but we always pack pretty light. That's one thing we have learned through experience!
Glenn Beck has Barton on and they are talking about FAITH. Really good, and so interesting what our founders went through to establish this wonderful country for us. So I'm going to listen to the rest of the program now.
(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi195.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fz77%2FEttaSue%2FCP%2FAnis%2FGoodMorningSunshine.gif&hash=1f2d5eec7fea2ed225ca6aaa3c2a5a3f759d1c21)
I do tend to stay busy but I also love my leisure time, too! My leisure gives me energy to stay busy!
The lunch went well. Only 10 of us. But we aren't having a lunch next month...going to wait until May 26 to meet in Brown County and May 28 to have a dinner at Lapel Lions Club. I told them yesterday that after that the class is on their own. I have been the organizer for 5 years..time to pass the wand to someone else. I enjoy the get-togethers but not the organizing. I think I work hard to have everyone participate and it seems less and less people show up. I guess we are all getting burnt out!
Then Bob left and Kitty went with me. Office Depot is printing 35 copies of 47 people's All About Me. Some are two pages. I asked them that if there was no color photo on the page to print it in black and white. Black and white copying is 9¢ a page and color copying is 29¢ a page. It seems whatever I did to the heading, that it changed horizontal line or the text from black to grayish blue and I figured they would consider that being color. Kitty and Bob needs all the short-cuts they can get for the cost. 35 books is going to be about $500!!! Yes, we are going to take up a collection/donation for the cost of the books. I am so anxious to see a finished one! Hopefully this weekend sometime!
Then Bob's birthday is Saturday and Kitty asked to stop at Lowe's. Sure. I parked at the Lawn and Garden area. We went in and she got this 6' x 8' Green House. It has reinforced plastic that the front and back door zips and the rolls up and ties. The four windows velcro and roll up and ties also. Well, the box was about 12"-14" square and at least 6' long! I eyeballed it and wondered if we could take it home in my car. But I put the back seat down and the Lowe's man got it in.
Then I needed cat food and Kitty wanted to find small gifts for a Left/Right game we are going to do in Brown County. I wrote a story that has every class members name in it and when I read 'left' the people in a circle passes their 'gift' to the left. When I read 'right', it goes to their right. The two stores were next door to each other. She only has a few of them left to get.
Then we were thirsty so we went to Lapel to Pizza King for Diet Pepsi and 3 cookies each! What a combination! Diet drink and cookies. But I brought home 3 cookies. Inky would love to get into the bag but I have put them up! About the time we were ready to leave, a couple that had lunch with us came in. Their daughter works there! So we had to visit some more.
Then to Kitty's.....and getting that Green House out of the car. After some manipulations we got it out! And sometimes the best way to hide something is to put it in plain site! In their garage is a clear plastic curtain that she puts around her plants in the winter so the box is behind it. Right in plain site. Bob will never see it!
Then home!
Whew! I was tired.
Upon getting up this morning, my throat is sore, I am congested and coughing. Why not? A couple of days ago it was 80+ degrees. This morning it was 34 degrees!
Now I am doing laundry and if Office Depot calls Kitty to tell her the printing is done, we are going to go get the prints! Maybe start cutting the holes and putting the book together. Just like a new baby...you know it's coming and can't wait to see what it looks like! (^)^(^)(^)^(^)(^)^(^)(^)^(^)(^)^(^)(^)^(^)(^)^(^)(^)^(

Happy Anniversary, everyone! Seven years is a wonderful accomplishment in the internet's too-fluid world. Everyone here is warm and welcoming. It's no wonder you've had so many strong years here.
I participated in the poll, although "the last few months" seemed like a bit of a stretch, since I just joined yesterday. ::)
Just found my way to this thread today--so much to explore. So--happy anniversary yesterday.
Okay, well that about wraps up post number three. Lord willing, they're the first of many posts.
I have had a busy day today. In to NBay to pick up some pants for alteration. I need to sew them tonight....ug. Then on to the book store where I got a T Davis Bunn book and a Ted Decker book. I was out of reading material. I picked up the girls, bought baby shower gifts for two showers, and on to drop one off. Back to my town and dropped off Kassie's friend picked up a prescription a few groceries, then here home. A long but enjoyable day.
We have another puppy going to a good home tomorrow. That will leave 3. We enjoy the puppies, but it is time for their forever homes.
Well John is coming home, be here soon, so I gotta go. Be back later.

I'm so happy to see you posting in here! And I hope you come in often. We start this "Thoughts for the Week" every Sunday and we use it sort of like if we'd meet in a coffee shop in real life. We just say what our plans are for the day or where we're going or what we've been snapping with our cameras, or we share a hymn or two or some little thought gleaned from our daily Bible reading.
So, we hope that you jump right in so we can all get to know you!
Congratulations on seven years!!
I had the difficult task of asking two people for forgiveness today. One received it as a Christian should, and the other chose to "dig the knife a little deeper" by rehashing the things I had done and said in the instance for which I sought forgiveness before telling me she forgave me.
I cannot change her heart, but I can pray for healing in our relationship and for her to forget past hurts and move on.
I do feel as if the Lord lifted a load off me now. Had been carrying that around for a while, even though I had asked His forgiveness. Clearly I still had work to do.
Bonnie
:coffee: not coffee but hot chocolate.
Brrrrrrrrrrr it has been cold all day with snow flakes and perhaps a little rain. neither does my not feeling well help.
Larry & Etta Sue:Thanks for the help one thing perhaps I need is gmail which I do not have.
Bonnie: Some time ago I had said something that was very much out of charactor and Praise the Lord I was given the opportunity to say I'm sorry and yes it was accepted a very big burden was lifted to be sure.
Etta Sue: Perhaps the cold flu is making its travels as our daughter had a very bad one as well in fact the symptoms sounded the same as yours, she is feeling much better now.
I made my daily phone call and it is so draining as it is the same old same old each and every day. I do skip the odd day calling if you know what I mean. There is no light or change at the end of the tunnel ever.
The evening is drawing to a close and I sure trust that tomorrow will be warmer.
Ruth
Forgiveness is the hardest thing to do. To forgive a person for what they have said or done is freeing to the forgiver, but too often we tend to feel like "punishing" the offender. Yet the Lord's prayer says, "Forgive us .....as we forgive...." Can you imagine where we would be if our Lord forgave us the way we forgive?

Our Father,
Who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy Kingdom come;
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our debts
as we forgive our debtors,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power and the glory
Forever.
Amen.

Judy: Thanks for the reminder re the Lord's Prayer.
Ruth: Thank you for that encouragement.
As I said, all I can do for my friend, after lifting her up in prayer, is ask the Lord to open her heart, her eyes, and her soul.
I am so glad that Judy suggested this site. I think you will be a source of encouragement, support, and Godly love. Hugs to all.
Bonnie
Love ya Bonnie. Let it go...God will deal with it. Have a good night's sleep. Give Pastor D a hug from us.
:) Good evening to all. Well it was also a cold day here in the Niagara Region and the heat came back on in the house and the winter jackets came on. Our lawns are nice and green and many of the plants are starting to push there way up.
I have read the posts but will not comment as I seem to be very tired so I am going to call it a night.
Judy B: Is that your bonnie that is on the site?
Good night to all. :cp:
Hi Gord, so pleased to meet you.
Judy would have been 5 years old when she had me, lol. Though she is not my earthly mother, she is definitely someone near, and dear, to my heart. So glad we have reconnnected. Clearly the Lord has had a hand in orchestrating that, as I have been praying for both her and her dear husband John for many years. I was good friends with her daughter Bonnie a long time ago...and still pray for her as well.
Bonnie
We seem to be on a music "kick" here lately. Isn't that just wonderful?
Chilly, cloudy and windy so far this morning but it's supposed to get sunny and warm up some this afternoon. Not as warm as last week, but at least up to our normal mid-April temperatures. And today I absolutely must go grocery shopping. I've put it off as long as I can. :(
(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi195.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fz77%2FEttaSue%2FCP%2FAnis%2FCatToiletPaper.gif&hash=ad9e8bfa2816a2b0e993842a1c205c3e0711b788)
Well, the printing is all done. 1500 more pages and $451! Add that to the $200 already spent...that's too much for one classmate to handle. Yes, we will take up donations! I think it adds up to around $19 a book!
Rough night last night. I put Vicks on my throat but it didn't help much. Woke up several times coughing and a severe sore throat. So I have already been to the drug store, the bank for money and the gas station for lawn mower gas and to fill up the car. I have the first med down me and drinking coffee and sucking on a Halls!
I really need to mow today if it warms up. Wish I had an allergy mask if only to not breathe the cool air.
Kitty may call for me to help her with the book today. Today is Bob's birthday so it all depends on what he wants to do...alone or with Kitty. Bob is a walker so every day he goes somewhere and walks about 8-10 miles. Kitty can't walk that much.
Oh, yes! Charlene and Audrey, her daughter, and Makena, her granddaughter, are in Michigan to see her other daughter, Carol. Carol is Audrey's twin and she is full term, due to have baby Clair any time. So Tony asked me to go with him to eat last night. I drove to his house and we went to 'On the Border', then back to his house to talk about people we used to work with and wonder how they are doing now. Fun to be with Tony and have him alone. I asked him to go to church with me tomorrow. We will see. He goes to church but thought maybe he might want to go with his Momma tomorrow!
It is nice and sunny with some wind today. Still too cool to mow...53°.

You know, these thought of the week threads are a real treat. I'm enjoying sharing in what you all are doing and thinking from day to day.
I play the Irish tin whistle and each Saturday morning I indulge in a "session" with a former student. I taught this kid to play tin whistle, and he practiced up a storm and got better than me. So I quit charging for lessons and he comes over and we learn from each other. My daughters enjoy listening, and there's always hot tea and music and chatting and all sorts of pleasant stuff.
So this morning I watched the birds play during session, and -- did I mention? The boy is almost completely visually impaired, so the girls and I enjoyed describing the birds--a woodpecker, a lone cardinal, various sparrows.
His mom is a very dear friend, so sometimes she shares the visit, although she doesn't play the tin whistle.
Later I will go get some medicine for my mom. We need groceries as well, Jeanne Lee, and I'll be taking care of that. I'm buying more generic food these days, as I'm saving for a lens. ::) Still, generic food these days is every bit as good as the name brand stuff. We are blessed.
God is so very, very good to us, and there is always something to be thankful for. The birds, for instance.....
T.Davis Bunn I believe wrote a story about a tin whistle. Excellent story.
Today was a great day. There was a baby shower for Megan and she got lots of wonderful things. The new lines of baby clothes are so different from what I had as a young mom. Bright colours and wonderful fabrics. She also got her stroller and car seat.
The pup didn't sell, the lady's son discouraged Mom. Too bad as she lives alone and the pup would have been good company.
Well I have a lot to finish up and need to get going. Meals to make and sewing to complete.
I will be back.
Hi everyone. What a day this has been. I will try to be as brief as I can but my heart overflows in gratitude today for a guardian angel that our Heavenly Father had watching over us. Thursday the batteries in our daughter's wheelchair failed. She was able to limp back to her apartment with it by recharging twice along the way. We then spent Friday night with us and we took her back today to deal with the battery problem. She felt that since it was recharged to full charge it should hold so she could get to the bus, make the one transfer from one bus to another, and get to the Batteries Plus store where they had the replacements.
She got on the bus to start the trip and we headed out in the car to meet her at the battery store. Before we got there she called to say that when she got off the bus the battery basically had lost its power and she was stranded. Fortunately I had written down the phone number of the battery store and called. The very nice young man, who I later found to be the owner of the store, said he could bring the batteries she needed the 3 to 4 miles down the road to where we would be with her but that he didn't install off site. I told him I had failed to put in my toolbox, thinking she could make it to his store where they would change the batteries.
After we spoke for a couple of minutes he said he would put in his tools and come to us to change the batteries, which he did. She then got back on the bus and headed to her apartment and we went to the store to pay the bill. I tried to give him a nice tip for his efforts on our behalf beside the $25 service fee. He refused saying he was the owner of the store and he wouldn't take a penny more. As I signed the charge slip I had taken out a couple of bills and tried to tip him again expressing my gratitude but again he said no and just mention his store in a good light when I had a chance.
I assured him I would do so and that I was a also writing to Batteries Plus to express my appreciation for his extra efforts on our behalf. We got in the car to come home and Pat and I both looked at each other an expressed our recognition and thanks to God for his wonderful care in putting this man in our lives today. It was a beautiful day here weather-wise and it turned out to be wonderful memories rather than having to deal with a disaster.
Pat and I are both exhausted in dealing with the stress of the day but now can relax and enjoy the evening.
There are too many postings to respond to today. However, Bonnie, when I read about your apology effort I did want to comment that I have come to believe the apology, and whether it is accepted or not, is for the person giving it and shedding the burden. We are not responsible for how the other person acts as we have no control over another person.
Etta Sue, rather overwhelmed by the size of that book project.
To Larry. Thank you for two things. (1) for reminding us that God is in control, and often places people in our lives right when we need them, ie, the owner of the store. (2) for reminding me of something I learned from another Christian friend; the fact we can only control our own reactions, not those of the one we offend/hurt.
To Judy: Did you notice Gord's question to you re if I was your Bonnie, and my reply to him, lol? ;) :)
Hello everyone I haven't posted in a few days. I want to welcome the new people. Do tell us a little bit about yourselves and how you came to CP.
I am Marilyn, I live in North Bend Oregon USA with my hubby, 2 dogs and 2 cats. I have been born again for 12 years. I have 5 grown children 14 grands and 5 greats. I moved from California to Oregon a year ago to get married. I am retired 70 years young and I love using Paint Shop Pro to make graphics, cards, and stationery, recently I have started writing tutorials, Enough of this.
I took Happy back to the Vet today for a follow up he is doing very well and has really improved. He goes back in 2 weeks when he finishes the Anti fungal medicine for the final; follow up, there is no charge for the follow up appointments. That fits my wallet perfectly.
Hi Marilyn. Nice to meet you too!
One thing I did not share in my introduction over in the Welcome New Members thread was the fact that I have a 2.5 year old kitty named Bella. She is, by far, the smartest, and prettiest cat I have ever owned. She sure brightens my day!!
Taught herself how to fetch; knows when it's bedtime and comes to get me if I am not ready to go there, lol. She loves to greet me by washing my hands after I give her her tummy rub.
Pets sure are good for us!!
Etta Sue: Rather than donations for the book why not put a $ them. The person doing hubby's family tree sold the books for perhaps $50.00 each and we purchased 2 one for each of our children.
Etta Sue: When our daughter was ill with her cold she rubbed Vick's (vapor rub) on her feet also wore her socks to bed she had a wonderful rest as this treatment kept her nose etc. clear. Give it a try and see if it works.
Bonnie: The Lord commands us to ask forgiveness but the part that hurts us most is when the other person seems to refuse/accept. The person that I made things right with accepted with tears.
We have had a beautiful sunny day but around 7 p.m. it did start to sprinkle. Ruth
Bonnie...Yes I saw Gord's question as well as your answer. What you don't know as of yet I have known Gord for....ummmmm....44 years now. Yup it has been that long Gord! My Father was instrumental in introducing Gord to the Lord!
This is a cold night, snow and rain combination. I have been cold all day, tiredness does this to me.
I am heading to bed.
Smokey sticks his nose in and wonders if there is any cake left?
I checked my profile page and it says I've been here 5 years. I could have sworn it was longer, but maybe it's the dog-year multiplier that just makes it seem longer.

Church this morning and then home until Kitty calls me this evening and we will be putting the Memory Books together. My friend, Rex, goes back to Mexico so I want to get his in the mail to Phoenix before leaves.
I am really anxious to see the final product!
Yesterday was doing some laundry, getting some cold remedies at the drug store, getting money at the bank and gas for the lawn mower and topping the car tank. I had lunch and then mowed the yard! First time completely. Ivalou's grandson wants to make money so he is going to mow Ivalou's yard for her.
Time for church. A few more little things to do and then to get Ivalou and head the 5 minutes to church.
I sound like a wheezing ol' codger. My chest is congested!^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+

Etta Sue Perhaps it is time to stop all the busyness and let your body rest/heal. You are on the go and the time comes when we need to stop and rest. Praying for you.
Kass is off to Sunday School, a friend picks her up and we join her for church.
Be back later.
I had a restless night last night, and truly wanted to sleep a little later this morning. I have always told the Lord that if you wake me up with plenty of time to get ready for church, I will go. So, it's off to church with me, to spend time worshipping Him with my church family.
Whenever I have a Saturday night such as last night, and go to church, the message brought forth during the service is one that seems designed for me to hear, and take to heart.
Bella is draped across my right arm, sound asleep. Sure makes it difficult to type, but her warmth and presence is definitely appreciated. :coffee: 0:-) ;D
Bonnie give our love and prayers to Dennis.
John is "in the process...." and watching that I am still on the computer. I won't take long, but do enjoy connecting here on CP in the morning before I start my day.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans 12:1,2
I went for a little visit of five days (to Areley House). There were ten persons in the house, some unconverted and long prayed for, some converted, but not rejoicing Christians. He gave me the prayer, "Lord, give me all in this house!" And He just did.
Before I left the house every one had got a blessing.
The last night of my visit after I had retired, the governess asked me to go to the two daughters. They were crying. Then and there both of them trusted and rejoiced; it was nearly midnight. I was too happy to sleep, and passed most of the night in praise and renewal of my own consecration; and these little couplets formed themselves, and chimed in my heart one after another till they finished with "Ever, Only, ALL for Thee!"

Take my life, and let it be consecrated, Lord, to Thee.
Take my moments and my days; let them flow in ceaseless praise.
Take my hands, and let them move at the impulse of Thy love.
Take my feet, and let them be swift and beautiful for Thee.
Take my voice, and let me sing always, only, for my King.
Take my lips, and let them be filled with messages from Thee.
Take my silver and my gold; not a mite would I withhold.
Take my intellect, and use every power as Thou shalt choose.
Take my will, and make it Thine; it shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart, it is Thine own; it shall be Thy royal throne.
Take my love, my Lord, I pour at Thy feet its treasure store.
Take myself, and I will be ever, only, all for Thee.

Pat I remember......
A beautiful hymn/prayer, Judy ... I've sung it many times.
Today is the 49th anniversary of my "baby's" birthday. How can that be? The youngest of my three daughters and she's almost as old as I am! :D
It's a bit overcast here today, but I'm listening to the birds outside my window greeting all with a sweet song. My azaleas are blooming, the rhodies are beginning to bloom, and there are blossoms on the apple tree ... Could it be that Spring has sprung? Well, 'tis April, after all.
It is a very quiet day, lots of sun.
Hubby had asked me to make restaurant reservations at a place called Mrs. Mitchell's but first I have to find the address.. I have eaten there with a group of ladies although a little high class it was very reasonable.
Have a great day Ruth
Jane, I've been wondering the same thing - my "baby" turns 48 this month. ;D Of course, it's worse with the oldest who will be 58 in July. :yikes:

Good morning. The birds are singing and it is just becoming daylight.
Rehab is early today and today is trash day, also.
Kitty and I got some books put together last evening. Our 'baby' is here and she is pretty impressive, if I have to say so myself. I am sure everyone will be pleased in having this Memory Book.
Kitty and Bob wanted me to stay for Pizza but I declined. I came home and watched TV until 10 and went to bed. I had a better night than the previous night. I still woke myself wheezing but not as bad. I got some more OTC drugs yesterday. I am thinking this is the fifth day of this sore throat business so I should be going toward healing now.
I plan to go back to Kitty's this afternoon. She is getting her modem fixed...seems she doesn't have internet. I will work on some more books. Then Photo Guild is tonight. She put her photos on flash drive and I emailed them for her last night so her images will be shown at guild. Kind of glad she had me do that because I hadn't emailed mine either!
Everyone have a God Blessed Day! + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + +
