JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Hmmm...wonder what I did wrong this time!  When I click to hear the music, nothing!

I was up at 4 again, went back to bed at 6, woke at 7 and told Darrel he needed to go get our Prairie Pack foods, dozed until 7:30 and gave up.  So I showered and washed my hair, will try doing it myself as Pat is in Texas with her Dad who is in critical condition.  Then did some exercises and went to cut more mats.  I have all eight pieces ready for framing!!  Triple mats on every one of them--big job.  Now I am waiting for corner samples of frames.

Our renter came over to do some mowing, the mower had a flat, so Darrel went to fix that and hasn't come back in yet.  That's a good thing!  At least he isn't just sitting here watching TV.

Our Senior Prom is tonight (senior citizens, that is) and Curtis is the DJ.  We will be going to that, and Beth called a while ago to tell me she is going, too!  It's good for her to get out and do something different, even if she can't actively participate in it.  :)

I looked up the phone numbers of all three of our area TV stations yesterday and will be calling them about my book; see if anything shakes out!  ;)

I never heard of renting a hot water tank, either.  Sounds a bit strange.  Let us know what you find out, Ruth, please.

Larry, glad you have a fun day planned, and also that Stacey can get out to church in the morning.  Weplan to go to My Father's House in Hugoton tomorrow.  I love that church, and besides that, will get to see all my 'kids' who live there.

Hi, friends,

Am I becoming an "every other day scholar????:-\

I don't intend to - that's a FACT!

Such a blessed time of sharing and caring here at CP. May God's blessings be with every one who comes or who is involved, as well as ALL their loved ones and friends.

I had 2 marvelous experiences today.  :)

1. A friend and I went to the Wycliffe Luncheon, and both left feeling well fed and spiritually challenged as well as spiritually fed. What a wonderful ministry they have.

2. My back left taillight assembly still wasn't working correctly, so back I went to the mechanic. Oh, how nice to see his friendliness and caring, and the detailed attention he paid to the repair! (And no cost at all.) As I prepared to leave, he told me to have a blest day. So, I smiled and asked a few questions. How WONDERFUL to learn that he is a converted Muslim, and loves Jesus passionately. Further, he worships at the church building where my husband and I were heavily involved in founding that church, then in the design and building of the sanctuary. Also, the second story of the educational building was constructed with funds donated in lieu of flowers at the time of his death, and that educational building was dedicated to God and in my hubby's memory. Also, with the tithe from the insurance money received, I was able to fund the purchase of the church's organ.

How GREAT to share and to be invited to return to that church as an honored guest of this man and his family!!

And, I had opportunity to share with him that I've been a Christian for 67 years, and that it's such a blessing to know God's work WILL ALWAYS go on.

With love and adoration for our Lord,

...his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

I  had something ready to post but lost it.   After I call the hot water tank people on I will answer, one thing that I will say that many people do rent their tanks.  But now I am not very happy with what I am being told.

We had lunch and a lovely visit with some out of town friends.

Ruth Ann, you continue to inspire me!  What a life you have lived for the Lord, through good times and bad, and the fruit will go on forever.  May you have only GOOD times from now until we meet the Lord in the air....bless you!

And Ruth, I hope you get those problems sorted out soon.  Maybe that is a Canada thing, to rent water tanks.  Here, we buy our own.  Now I understand why you are unhappy about it (I think) because if you are only renting it, then the upkeep should be paid by the owner--am I right?

What a fun evening we had last night!  It was the Senior Citizens' Prom, put on by our Chamber of commerce and the Junior Leadership Class from the high school.  What a sweet bunch of kids were there--all juniors.  They had nice food for us, had hired my grandson Curtis as DJ, and had another whole room set up in which to play bingo, which lots of folk love (NOT me!)  There was a large group of the folk from Hugoton there, and since we have been going occasionally to their sr. dances, it was nice to see and greet them again.  They also brought a group of people from the Care Home, including Beth, to play Bingo, dance, eat, and listen to the music.  Beth was the center of attention from quite a few who had read the book but hadn't seen her in a long time or ever met her.  She enjoyed having them come and talk to her.  The young people wer courteous, fun, and danced with us as if we were their age!  I won a dance with one boy, by identifying the movie a song was from, but one of the younger gals gave me the answer--Aladdin!  Anyway, I had a really good time, and may God bless those kids!

We are going to Hugoton to church this morning!

Well, bless the Lord that we're going alhead with another day!  "This is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it."  May I indeed be glad in what He has done and is doing!
I received notice that I must retake the driver's test in May.  Hope I can pass it!  It's been a  long time since I took that test previously.

Well, I went to see the movie 'Mirror! Mirror!' again.  I went with Ivalou and Marge.  But when I went with Kitty, they said there was a scratch on the film and they gave out free tickets to see another movie.  So I didn't have to pay for last night AND I got another free ticket!  The show was good the second time, too.

This computer is acting up.  Working in the back ground.

So I am off to church.

Ruth Ann, it is a blessing to me to read how His blessings follow you, whether you seek them in a Wycliffe luncheon or they are totally unexpected at an auto repair shop.

My six month check up at the doctor's was very satisfactory with everything either the same or better.  Then Friday night completely sleepless - but not Saturday afternoon!  :o   I have an appointment for Monday morning for a fasting blood test and I foolishly let myself fret and worry about being hungry and thirsty and getting out so early.  When I finally gave it over to the Lord I slept.  ;D

Larry Hanna

HI everyone.  The morning has started out with a bit of sun and warm.  Not sure what the forecast is for the rest of the day.  I am ready for church and Pat is also going unless the getting ready exhausts her.  She had a very bad day of pain yesterday but said about 11:30 last night she was pain free and didn't want to move as it felt so good.  The fibromyalgia is a strange thing as she will often have very painful days and then later in the evening begin to feel a lot better.  Just hope she has a good day today. We had a great day yesterday at our annual event.  I just finished getting the money collected in the raffle and basket collections ready for the bank in the morning.  Other than church and getting something to eat this should be a quiet day.

Etta Sue, the spinal center here in Atlanta does amazing work with those folks having brain and/or spinal injuries.  It sounds like you needed an electric blanket for the cold night.  I keep mine on the bed and am still using it but not every night as it has been warm here.

Janet, what does it mean when you say you are doing a triple mat?  I really know nothing about framing.  It sounds like you have a large amount of work in progress.  Hope the TV stations work out for you.  Several of our stations here in Atlanta have morning shows where local events, authors, etc. are featured. Your senior prom sounds like it was great fun and certainly well attended.  It was great that Beth was able to attend and have a good time.

Al, is the retaking of the driver's test a requirement based on age in your state?

Jeanne, glad your checkup went so well.

Ruth Ann, what wonderful sharing you did yesterday.  You had quite a full day.
