Morning Devotional...
Scripture: Isaiah 42:9a
"Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare." KJV
10. If you have a bad attitude-Let It Go!
9. If someone has angered you-Let it Go!
8. If you are involved in an addiction-Let It Go!
7. If you are feeling stressed and depressed-Let It Go!
6. If you are holding on to past hurts and pain-Let It Go!!!
5. If you are judging others to make yourself feel better-Let It Go!
4. If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge-Let It Go!
3. If you are struggling with the healing of a broken relationship-Let It Go!
2. If you are holding on to a job that no longer meets your needs-Let It Go!
And the number one "Let It Go" as compiled by Pastor Bill:
1. If someone won't treat you right, love you back or see your worth-Let It Go!
Prayer: Father thank you for giving me the courage to let go of those things that would destroy me and reach out for your goodness and peace. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
Janet: there is saying, "Let go, Let God". Fine reminder from your writing and that is to tell each of us that too many times we hang on to old and sour thoughts. Thank you for your posting.
We signed on with a real estate agent. She is happy with what we have accomplished - mentioned moving our new t.v. out so it wouldn't impair the view.---not going to do it as that is where the wires come in and we have no idea as to how long this will take. Also, she mentioned changing out a buffet in our dining room - good grief, we can't even lift that thing. She wants me to take down a wallpaper little thing I put up in the sewing room and I don't even know if it will come off. Will try - we are exhausted every night and Don says he won't paint that room because it will take two coats. OK - this too shall pass. Houses are selling on average about 150 days from listing.
This week, we will go to a band concert in Denver and later we have all three grands & two friends staying over next weekend - on different nights. It is kinda a chaotic week - plus all the other happenings & people over to measure rooms and so forth. I must listen to Janet's post about letting things go!
Pat: Glad that you are back home safe and sound. It sounds like you could use some rest time. Take care.
Larry: You shouldn't be lifting too much yourself either. Please take care.
Satan tried to deter me from going to church this morning. I really wanted to just drop my kids off and go back home and crawl back into bed. But I didn't let him win. Take that, satan! :clobber:
I'm so glad I went. The music is always great, but one of the songs was especially great for me to sing today. It goes like this...
In The Presence of the Lord
There is joy, there is joy,
There is joy in the presence of the Lord.
There is joy that's full, there is joy that's free;
There is joy in the presence of the Lord.
There is peace, there is peace,
There is peace in the presence of the Lord.
There is perfect peace when I rest in Him,
There is peace in the presence of the Lord.
There is love, there is love,
There is love in the presence of the Lord.
There is love that's real no matter how I feel,
There is love in the presence of the Lord.
Stand and sing, stand and sing,
Stand and sing in the presence of the Lord.
Stand and sing your praise to the risen King;
Stand and sing in the presence of the Lord.
Anyway, I just thought I'd share that with you all. It's so good to be reminded that even in hard times we can have joy, peace, love and rest in the presence of the Lord. Simple truths of God's character! He is always the same, no matter how I feel! I praise Him for that!
Larry-I miss typed my other post. My husband is going to open fishing season, not "ice" fishing season. It's just that they are going to the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range where the lake is still frozen. This year it's still 3 feet thick with ice, so they are ice fishing. Don't ask me why they go when it's still so cold up there. (I believe it's about 9-10,000ft.) I think they're crazy! I'd like to go once things are mostly melted and flowers are blooming, myself.
My husband left post-it notes all over the place with different things on them for me. One on the bathroom mirror that says, "I love you!" One on the coffee pot that was ready to brew when I got up this morning, just like it is nearly every morning that says, "Just for you, babe!" One in the refridgerator that says, "I'm thinking of you." One in the car that says, "Miss me yet?" I'm sure I'll find more througout the week. He's so sweet! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful man for a husband. He even left some just for our girls in their rooms/bathroom.
Guess that's my post for today. Just resting in Him!
Kathleen, thank you so much for that!
I experienced a similar happening tonight. I got to church. I was sitting at the organ and I had broken my tooth on the way to church and it started to hurt and then I noticed I didn't have my engagement ring on my finger!!!
I quickly left and tried to get the pain to leave my mouth and then hurried home to find out if I had taken my ring off (which i had) and then tried to settle down.
Take that Satan!!! Great sentence!
Thanks so much.
I also wondered about the "ice" fishing as we have a lot of ice fishing up here in Canada but it ends in Ontario about March 8!
Thanks again, Kathleen.
Your welcome, Pat! I am glad it helped you and I hope your tooth feels better. :aaah:
Good Morning, I was a wonderful service that I attended yesterday. The pastor was continuing a series on Mark, The passage was the one about the man being lowered into the house in front of Jesus. "Is Jesus in your house?" the worship was fantastic. I was set free and used the flags to worship. It was awesome.
Gotta go now Keith just came online.

Good Morning!
Short night, it seems. That's what I get for posting late the day before. ::)
Today I get to have a Bone Density test. Yippee!!
Then this afternoon Ivalou and I will be going to a funeral visitation. This time it is a man that us kids all went to school with. He was retired from a factory but still farmed the family farm. He was working on a hydraulic system on the tractor and the bucket fell and pinned him. His wife discovered him in the barn. So sad. He has left his wife, 5 children, 13 grandchildren and since he was from a family of 10 children, lots of brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Sad for Lapel.
It is chilly in Indiana today and predicting frost tonight!! It is only 53° right now with an overcast sky. My solar is running and I have my fireplace on just to get the chill out of the air.
Jerry passed away 3 years ago today. Seems like yesterday. /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\

Hi everyone. Am a bit rushed today as it has been a busy day and we have a dinner engagement with our friends that we visit in Florida, who are back for the summer months. We are going out to eat at the Snellville Diner and then will come here and play a card game for awhile.
After coffee this morning and walking at the gym, my friend picked me up and we met another man for lunch a the local airport eatery. Nothing fancy but the food was very good. Following lunch he took us to the hanger of the Civil Air Patrol, which is stationed at the airport, and showed us around including the plane they have. He told us the Civil Air Patrol is a volunteer organization that comes under the U.S. Airforce. The Airforce provides the plan. They have a very active youth group called Cadets from ages 12 to 18. It was a very enjoyable tour.
I also have some work to do for the Golden Games so will not terry here today.
Nice day here on the island...between showers, that is. I had a lovely long walk, then took a cup of tea and my book, intending to sit in the sun for a bit. Of course, along came a shower to sort of dampen my joy in the sun. :'(
I enjoyed your post, Kathleen. What a nice guy your husband must be...Tried ice fishing once, when much younger. Brrrr!!
A friend of my daughter came over with her newest toy, a little Robot that washes floors. She set it loose on mine and it did a great job. Sort of slow and I had the urge to give it a smack....resisted and it is something that would be a big help as my back is a mess. So Wendy and I are thinking it would help her with the bathrooms and their entrance. Would not use on hardwood. Betty is thinking about getting one that also does the carpets and vacuums.....hmm ::) We might get the one that washes floors.
Did anyone else watch Glenn Beck on CNN last week? He had Joel Rosenberg on and it was all about Prophecy and how things are falling into place so quickly now. His latest book is Dead Heat and I have ordered it from the library. If anyone is interested, you can read the interview on GlennBeck.com. It is worth having a look....
Time to go and much to do. Pleasant Day/Evening and God Bless.
Liz
Hi, Ruth Ann here.
The surgeon's assistant cleaned up my thumb surgery site, and I have my "marching thumbing" orders. No left hand work for 2 more weeks, including no trying to open a pop/soda/soft drink bottle or lift even as much as only 5 lbs.
Then, it's going to be flex those fingers..."oil" the scar with vitamin oil taken from a capsule of Vitamin E, etc. Maybe even a bit of physical therapy.
Our dog's tumor will be biopsied tomorrow. Poor doggie.
Does anyone still have the link to that wonderful UTube explanation of the song "Amazing Grace"? The wonderfully gentle, talented singer was in Nashville last night at a hymnfest - OH, WHAT A BLESSING to even be in this man's presence! I'd sure like to send a friend the URL to that website.
We have two different home inspectors coming in today - they call this pre-sale. One will be checking the little things to be fixed such as grout - the other will check big things. We will get our money back whenever this place sells. There will be a Radon test and that will be over by Thursday. Our driveway will be cut up at some time and the sprinkler system fixed that is under the concrete - not our bill, thankfully.
Fun to look forward to watching a grandson play the trumpet tonight but it means a drive to the Denver suburbs and staying overnight, rushing back here tomorrow. I am giving him a great harmonica which was purchased on a trip to Germany by my parents. He loves anything musical.
Ruth Ann: It sounds like your thumb is mending well - that is just great.
Pat: I do hope you get your tooth fixed so it won't come back with any pain. So many things on your mind, that is why you forgot your ring. Sending you calming thoughts.
Good morning everyone!
Busy day here!
It's so nice to read what you are all up to.
Larry, what did you order at Snellville Diner? Did you share your meals with your friends? You get so much food, it's unbelievable!

I have never seen so many people visiting at a funeral home as I did last night. Ivalou and I stood in line for way over an hour before we got to the casket and to talk to Linda, the wife. I can't imagine what the funeral will be like this afternoon.
Today I go for an Echocardiogram. The doctor asked me if anyone ever told me I have a heart murmur. I went on line to search 'heart murmur' and decided to wait and hear what the doctor says instead of getting myself worked up for the worse. My brother has had a heart murmur since having rheumatic fever at the age of 18 and he is fine!
That's it for today!xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo[

Etta Sue, I've had a heart murmer for most of my life and I'm "fine" too ... You are right to wait for the doctor's opinion. And then remember it is just an opinion. ;)
Hi everyone. Another typical morning. It is cooler than it has been for sometime but a beautiful sunny day.
Pat, I actually didn't even eat last evening as I was still full from the nice lunch I had with friends at our local airport. So I just enjoyed a nice soft drink. The others had fried catfish and were not very happy with it as said it wasn't crisp. The lady of the couple we were dining with made the comment that she wouldn't go back there to eat, which rather annoyed my wife, since she had tried only one things and particularly since we had recommended it. Oh well, that was obviously how she felt and you can't change people's opinions.
Liz, my friend and his wife have one of the robot sweepers and seem to like it. After it finishes it goes back to its base and plugs back in to the unit for recharging.
Ett Sue, my good friend, Rod, who I was referring to in the above paragraph, is also having and echo cardiogram done today as he was having skipped beats of his heart. Hope everything turns out well for you and the doctor releaves your mind on the murmur.
Jane, my father also had a murmur all his life and was refused for the military in WW II because of it.
Carol, it will probably relieve your mind to have had the pre-sale inspections so that you can deal with any problems prior to the time of nearing closing. We have had inspections done of the last several houses we have purchased, except the new ones, if I recall correctly.
Ruth Ann, you type very well with one-hand. Hope the discomfort has pretty well subsided.
For those of you who knew Francy Lou Krause from Seniornet. I received this from her son:
Frances L. Krause
August 22, 1943 – April 25, 2008
Frances Louise (Butler) Krause passed away Friday, April 25, 2008, at the age of 64.
Born August 22, 1943, in San Francisco, CA, Frances Butler grew up and lived most of her early life in the Bay Area, raising her family in Pleasanton, CA. She married Delbert Krause in 1965, and they recently celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary on April 16. Fran loved living on the west coast and spent much of her time volunteering in schools and at local parks and nature centers.
In 1983, Fran moved with her family to Overland Park, KS. She was a kind, gentle, well-loved person who enjoyed raising her children, tending to their home and volunteering at the American Heart Association and at local churches. After she retired, she liked to spend her time playing cards with friends, learning about nature, growing plants and flowers, watching movies, reading mysteries and crime-dramas, spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren, who were her heart's delight. She will be dearly missed.
Surviving Fran are: her husband, Del; her son, Alan and daughter-in-law, Sarah of Fairway, KS; her three grandchildren, Zachary, Henry and Emma; her son, Bradley and his family of Houston, TX; her sister Dorenne and husband Ron of South San Francisco, CA; and her nieces and nephews, Bobby, Brian and Kim of CA and Greg of MN.
A celebration of her life will be held at 6:00 PM, Friday, May 2, 2008 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. A gathering of her relatives will occur November 15, 2008, at her sister's home in South San Francisco, CA.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org or 1-800-DIABETES).
Larry, that's too bad as Paul and I sure enjoyed that place to eat! Oh well....
Thanks, Marilyn. I remember Francy quite well.
Well, my son and I are really thankful our dog Shelby's tumor was a benign fatty tumor, but in a bad place to cause choking in her throat, so we're thankful the tumor's gone, and she seems to be doing very well.
Y'all have a good evening.
That is such good news Ruth Ann I am so glad to hear the tumor was benign.
Wow! Great news, Ruth Ann!
I'm glad to here that!
Ruth Ann, My clan is glad to hear that Shelby is going to be ok.
:) Well just a short post as you all can see it is very late.
I have glanced over the post's and very busy and exciting what is going on in everyone's life. I have been taking it easy and not doing to much as some days I
:) Hi to all and as you cansee it is late so I will be short . ;D
I have gone through the post's and everyone is very busy and I also wish that I was over at Colin's place as I used to spend most of my summers as a young boy at my grandma's place on the outskirt's of Belfast.
I am doing o.k. and am still taking it easy as some days I have no strength. So please continue to pray for my wife and I as we appreciate it.
Well I must go to bed so God bless to all and will try to talk soon. :coffee:
Hi everyone. Have had my breakfast and emptied the dishwasher and will leave for coffee shortly. Today is our day to go to McDonald's instead of the cafe. We decided to do that once a week as a change. Then it is Bible study with the pastor. However, the pastor is away on a study week so we will watch a video on having a mission oriented church and then in the next three weeks the pastor will go back over the video (about a third each week) and we will focus on that in our study. This evening is choir practice again.
Ruth Ann, sure glad you and your son got good news about your dog. Sometimes the things we dread or think are going to happen just aren't that way at all. I am sure your son was greatly relieved as you had indicated he was very upset when the tumor was found.
Pat, I am sure we will go back to Snellville Diner but know a couple of things to stay away from.
Marilyn, I did not know the person you mentioned as having passed away.
Hope everyone will have an enjoyable day.
Good Morning. Last night we got a good shaking.. 5.2 on the Richter scale, 35 miles to the east of us here. I was sitting at the computer talking to Keith when it sounded like someone hit my front door and all my wind chimes started moving I have 2 hanging in the house as well as some outside. Happy was laying next to me and he got and sat by the couch looking frightened. then I felt the jolt, it rocked me from side to side and gave me a weird feeling in my head. (No comments Al) Kind like I was getting dizzy or something.
All is well this morning the sun is out after some rain showers. I am baking Banana Bread for my client today.
Have a great day all y-all.
My goodness, Marilyn! That's some "shaking"!
I think it's time we all sang again...

Just over in the glory land (http://www.christianphotographers.com/sounds/65_Just_over_in_glory_land.mid)
(Click to hear music)
I've a home prepared where the saints abide
Just over in the glory land
And I long to be by my Saviour's side
Just over in the glory land
Just over in the glory land
I'll join the happy angel band
Just over in the glory land
Just over in the glory land
There with the mighty host I'll stand
Just over in the glory land
I am on my way to those mansions fair
Just over in the glory land
There to sing God's praises and his glory share
Just over in the glory land
Refrain
What a joyful thought that my Lord I'll see
Just over in the glory land
And with kindred saved, there forever be
Just over in the glory land
Refrain
With the blood washed throng I will shout and sing
Just over in the glory land
Glad hosannas to Christ, the Lord and King
Just over in the glory land
Refrain

I am having computer problems. I couldn't get my antivirus to manually scan so I download a couple of things at my cost. I ran them...they were to clean up my unwanted/unneeded files on the computer...temporary files, history, search history, etc. Now I can't get logged into SrNet or even my Embarq home page. So Embarq told me to uninstall those two things...I did and still the same. Then they said to uninstall Firefox and re-install. I did and still the same. Then uninstall Embarq Online Security and re-install. I did but can't re-install because I can't log in to Embarq.com!!! I sent them an email last night after midnight but haven't heard back. CS is the only thing I can log into!!
And I can't remember what told me I had a Malware virus in my computer!!!
I have done a restore system back to Tuesday morning. Ran what used to be ScanDisk. Rebooted several times. Turned off the power on the modem and back on. Nothing is working! I need a Larry to help me! :'(
So I am off and running to see what else I can do.
And I need to mow today!!!
A third of 2008 is just about over!!!---<---<-@---<---<-@---<---<-@---<---<-@---<---<-@---<---<-@

Everytime I change forums, I have to log in again. And it won't let me log in to comment in 'The Gallery'! And I had to log in again to post this...and tried about 4 times before it took! HELP!!
Sounds like your browser won't accept the cookies, Etta Sue but Larry is the one to help here.
I'm so sorry.
Pat, that was the same thing I was going to suggest to Etta Sue. Initially I would suggest using System Restore but see that has already been tried without effect.
Etta Sue, I think I might try a system restore back a week or ten days ago. Since you only restored to yesterday you could have picked up a virus or malware within tha time frame. I sure hope you don't have to restore your computer to factory condition. You also might try starting in "safe mode" and seeing if you can run your virus checking software. I really don't know what else to recommend.
I talked to Embarq and when I deleted a bunch of cookies and registry stuff, it changed the privacy settings on Firefox. I could log in on everything in IE but not Firefox. The guru got me set up again. Whew!! I couldn't even log into Embarq to download Embarg Online Security that is uninstalled. I have it downloaded now and plan to do a manual scan when I am done here. I am back in business once again! I knew it was something simple but I couldn't figure it out.
Pat and Larry...you were right...it was my cookies that was changed.
Oh, Etta Sue, I'm so happy for you. It really is frustrating when things don't seem to work.
Well, Larry I took your advice (at least a LITTLE bit of it). ^-^
When I began to finish up my time log file that is turned in last day of each month, I realized that I ended up with almost 40 hours of late-day and Saturday work for the month. So, it was about 5 pm, 30 minutes before time for me to leave, but I felt quite comfortable in sending that file off to headquarters, then shutting the computer down for the remainder of the day. ;)
Shelby the dog still seems to be doing well, although she's more sore today and moving a bit slower. Now to keep her from licking it. I may have to go by the vet's and get one of those Elizabethan collar things, for I caught her curving her poor neck around so that with her long tongue, she could actually get to the incision!
Otherwise, a nice day here in Nashville. And, a friend at work dropped by my desk at 11:30 and invited me to join her in the cafeteria for lunch. What a nice surprise!
Y'all have a good rest of the day, friends.
:) Good evening to all. I dont know how my post this morning came up twice but at least the proper one did work.
Today we got our front lawn done by the landscaper they rolled it and did the airirating and also spread the grass seed so we are finaly starting to get some spring things done around the house.
Then the wife and I went to visit some friends whohave just come back from western Canada and are in the process of selling there lovely house that they have in the beautiful old Village of Niagara On The Lake which is known for the George Bernard Shaw Festival Theatre and many other famous events that have taken place over the years.
The drive along the Niagara parkway back to Niagara Falls is so beautiful and so many flowers so my wife and I enjoyed our visit and our time today away from the house.
Hope all is well with all on C.P. Good night and God Bless.
Busy day here today. The girls are going to the Health Unit for an update on the vaccinations. There is one that we are getting in the nick of time. If this series vaccination is not completed by the time they enter Grade 9 whether home schooled or in the system, the cost is over $440 to the parents. I am so glad I checked into this when I did. The girls last shot will be the 28th of August.
Our brother Murray is having surgery today. Please keep him and the family in prayer and that the Master Physician will guide the hands of the surgeon.
John is getting a computer satellite link in his truck on Friday. This will be a test for the company and he is looking forward to seeing how it will work.
Pat I think John may be calling you today or tomorrow. You could try him on his cell.
Well I am off and running
God Bless
JudyB
Good Morning everyone. We seem to be dwindling down on posters here lately, people traveling, being sick and what not. I pray that everyone who is traveling will have the angels set all around them. that those who are ill will be healed in the name of Jesus.
Etta Sue I am glad to hear that you got your computer back up and running the way you want.
Larry you are so good about helping others with computer problems. Thank you for that.
Ruth Ann good that Shelby is going to be fine. It reminds me to keep on checking my two all over to make sure they don't develop something that needs to be taken care of.
Pat 23 more days until your wedding day. Are you nervous yet?
Keith is taking me away on a vacation next month to a surprise destination, I will not know until we get there. That will be exciting.
Well must go now Hello to Samantha, Jane, Nita, Karma, Nards, Carol, Al, Scotty, Kathleen, Colin, Jeannine, and all the newbies who have joined us lately.
All y-all have a great and blessed day.
(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi195.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fz77%2FEttaSue%2FCP%2FAnis%253Cbr%2520%2F%253E%2FBoyDogButterflies.gif&hash=8ea1cbfc1ece7fcf7635ee41e40c450a5b376999)
I was really nice to get the yard mowed yesterday. It seemed to look extremely manicured for some reason. Then I showered and washed my hair. After that I did three loads of laundry. So I had a mowed lawn, a clean body and all my clothes were clean, dried and put away! Good day.
I gave my third place photo winner to Ivalou. It was of a tree in her back yard and then PSP'd. She is redoing her spare bedroom for guests this summer and the picture is going on a wall that is vacant now. She just left after I put it into a different frame that I had. Later I will go see how it looks. Hope she is pleased.
Ivalou goes Monday to see about getting a different sleep mask. Seems she isn't sleeping well and gets tired so easily. And Kaye Don is having to wear the thingy on his finger at night to register his blood oxygen levels. Then will take the case somewhere to be read. And I should get a phone call from the doctor tomorrow about my echo-cardiogram. If not, I will call them Monday.
Not fun getting old.
Today I need to help Ivalou move a cabinet from her house to her garage and then if I am really ambitious, I will bleach and scrub my resin deck. The north side is really yucky from mildew or mold or something dark. It isn't hard work...just back breaking from scrubbing and lugging the hose around to hose it off. If ambition doesn't hit, then I will watch TV and scrub another day!! ?º°`°º?ø,¸¸,ø?º°`°º?ø?º°`°º?ø,¸¸,ø?º°`°º?ø?º°`°º?ø,¸¸,ø?º°`°º?ø?º°`

Hi Everyone...
Don't you find sometimes during our busy days that we drift away from thinking of our wonderful relationship with our Heavenly Father? We get so busy and frustrated over things that don't seem to be working out or finding out that we forgot to do something that we should have done or phoned someone we should have phoned and oh, life is so complicated.
Well, I was listening to a wonderful song on a new CD I got and the words really spoke to me for situations just like this.
Once I stood in the night with my head bowed low
In the darkness as black as the sea
And my heart was afraid and I cried,
Oh Lord, don't hide your face from me.
Hold my hand all the way, every hour, every day
From here to the great unknown
Take my hand, let me stand
Where no one stands alone.
Like a king, I may live in a palace so tall
With great riches to call my own
But I don't know a thing in this whole wide world
That's worse than being alone.
Hold my hand all the way, every hour, every day
From here to the great unknown
Take my hand, let me stand
Where no one stands alone...
Hi everyone. Another truly great day here in Georgia. I took Pat to a dental appointment this morning for a filling. She had really been dreading it but don't think it was too back. She was in the dental chair only 30 minutes. Then later this afternoon I will take her to Kaiser to see her doctor about her high blood pressure. She has been trying to deny that she has a problem but can't anymore. Then we will stop at the Texas Roadhouse for dinner as she will be tired from all of this activity today.
Just had a very enjoyable chat with Paul on the phone. We talked about phones, computer matters and other things.
Etta Sue, you sound very industrious. I think we will have to have our house pressure washed this year to remove mildew. We have alumimum siding so it is not damaging anything but doesn't look very good on one side of our house and on our screened in porch. I also need to get the air conditioning man in for the annual check of the unit. Sure glad you got your computer problems solved.
Marilyn, I also have noted that fewer people seem to be posting at this time. However, I think this is normal for discussion boards as we have seen this over and over on SeniorNet, especially in the spring.
Judy, I am sure John will enjoy the satellite card in his computer in his truck. I hope the experiment goes well and that will be something that his company decides to do. It sounds like you were fortunate to check into the vaccinations. That would have been very expensive. I will be checking for news of Murray as know you and Pat, as well as others, are very concerned for him.
Gord, that sounds like it would be a wonderful drive. Are your friends relocating to Western Canada?
Ruth Ann, glad you were able to use a little bit of the information I shared about the computer.
Hi Pat and all who stop by later today.
Our brother, Murray, is out of reconstructive surgery and the family says that they were very much aware that they were being prayed for during this very difficult waiting time during surgery.
They will do radiation therapy in about a week or maybe 2 and then a further bout in about six weeks.
Please continue to pray for our brother who is a very special man.
Marilyn: First you have a shaking and now you are going on a mystery trip - something is happening all of the time.
Pat & Judy: Prayers for your brother, Murray and his family as he goes through the radiation treatments as well.
Larry & Etta Sue: We don't have mildew - we do get dust though. Right now it is so chilly and there is a snowstorm in the mountains that we can see a lighter part of it in the foothills. Oh, please let the springtime come.
All kinds of people in our house & a handyman is fixing some tile in two bathrooms so we can't use them and so grateful to have a little toilet in the basement. We are taking out about three pieces of furniture to open up the view here & the handyman is helping lift a loveseat. We still have laptop awful problems but did get the phone fixed so there are two places to answer in the house - I have been running up the steps
Carol - is your house for sale all the while that those changes are being made? You're going to be all worn out going up and down if it doesn't get done soon. May our Lord give you extra grace.
Hi, everyone; I just got finished mowing my the lawn next door, and I'm pooped.
My mom and I stayed up, late painting my sister's bunk bed. We had a lot of fun,
but it's hard work.
Hi, friends, I spent some time researching medicare health plan supplements after work this afternoon, then got a haircut.
Tomorrow's going to be a reunion of the 8th grade class from the grammar school I attended. It is timed to coincide with the 50th high school reunion of essentially the same people. That reunion will be on Saturday.
So, a very pleasant weekend seems to be on my horizon.
Also a medication change seems to be helping me feel better. At least a lot more energy today, so that in itself is quiet helpful. :)
Y'all have a good rest of the day.
Sounds like a lovely time ahead for you, Ruth Ann.
Take some photos!
I'm back home! And so happy to be here, too. Originally we planned to stay until Saturday, but we just couldn't take it that long, so drove home yesterday--all 900+ miles.......eighteen hours. :P I was SO happy to get out of that pickup!!
Very busy day today, and now it is getting late. So I will try to give you the short version tomorrow. I have decided that our humble home in a farm shed is truly a haven, a real mansion for us. A mansion of peace and rest, a refuge from the world, at least at times.
I have read all the posts, and ask God to bless each one of you.
I got the email from Fran Krause's son about her death, so sorry to hear that. I never met Fran, but so enjoyed all the emails she sent me.
So glad to have you home, Janet!
I know all about those miles!!! ;)
Good morning all,
I have read and prayed. Pat, are you getting nervous?
It is lovely here in N. Ireland, Colin and his family are absolutely wonderful. He has taken me to see Mt. Slemish and the waterfalls in Glenariff. We have taken tons of photos and videos. This is a most wonderful place to rest and relax and just chill out.
Will write more soon.
Still Trusting In Him,
Jeannine
Good Morning everyone.
Welcome home Janet, now it is time for you to get rested up. Do you have to go back to work real soon? Or do you have the weekend to rest?
Hi Jeannine good to hear from you, how much longer are you going to be in Ireland?
Hi Ruth Ann enjoy the time with your old classmates haven't seen or heard from any of mine since High School.
After work today I will be on my way to Oregon, this time I am going to try to remember to call Jane and Nita. We get caught up doing other things and going places and forget to make those calls. We are planning to go shopping on Saturday.
TTYL all y-all
Hi everyone. Today was coffee a the Senior Center and we had a good turnout this morning. Then 4 of us went to walk at the church gym. I think that is it for me today in terms of going anywhere. I am looking forward to a quiet day today. It seems this has been a busy week.
Pat saw the doctor yesterday afternoon and he put her on blood pressure medicine. So now it will be a test for the next few weeks to see how she reacts to it.
Jeannine, it is great to see you are having such a nice time in Ireland. It sounds like Colin is treating you royally and this should be a wonderful vacation for you without the daily responsibilities of home.
Janet, how did you ever stand to drive for 18 hours. After 8 hours I am exhausted. We occasionally will drive 10 hours on the first day. Glad you are home and I agree with you that there is no place like our homes to find peace and comfort.
Ruth Ann, it sounds like things are looking up for you. Hope you have a great time at your reunion.
Scotty, it seems to me that it is always more enjoyable to do projects with someone than alone.
Hi Al. How are you feeling these days?
Carol, I heard the news about the weather out your way. It looks like winter wants to hang on. This global warming is really tough this year. :) Know you will be happy when the workmen are finished. It sounds like you will have a show place to sell. Hopefully things will improve in the housing market very soon.
Pat and Judy, glad to read that Murray is out of his surgery and now the things needed for recovery can begin. I expect he will have a long tough battle ahead.
Marilyn, hope you have a great trip to Oregon this weekend.
Hope everyone enjoys the day. I have a link to a beautiful site that someone sent Pat. It is different because it is a page of links to some very beautiful things. http://www.cuttyhunkroseinspirations.com/sitemap.html (http://www.cuttyhunkroseinspirations.com/sitemap.html)

Today I went with Ivalou for her to get her blood work done at the doctor's office. Then we ate breakfast at 'Perkins'. After that Ivalou had a bunch of stuff in the trunk and back seat for GoodWill. 'Deals' was nearby so we stopped there. 'Deals' is like 'Everythings a Dollar' store but something are more than a dollar. I was good. I only got a $2 16oz. can of Honey Roasted Peanuts. Ivalou wasn't so good. ;D
Tonight we plan to see a play in the new high school auditorium at Lapel. The students moved to the new school in January. It will be our first time at the auditorium. All 707 seats are good seats they say. Then the 10th I have free tickets to see the Spring Concert in the auditorium also.
Really strong winds today and suppose to have thunderstorms. So no bleaching today either. »ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸

Howdy from a rowdy N. Ireland...well Jeannine is going down a storm over here! :D I noticed the other day she was bent over in her seat as we drove along in the car. I asked her why and she said she had noticed a road sign which said bend for half a mile. :idiot: Just teasing! Seriously we have met a cow doing traffic patrol on a road coming into Ahoghill and then we went fishing....in the middle of the road and caught five salmon. Honest! Then the other evening Jeannine saw a horse being towed by a tractor. She is having a rare time indeed. I think she should post some pictures in here. I think she has taken about 1,000 now!
Take care everyone.
Good evening all,
If you go to the gallery you will find the cow leaving the traffic and the horse being towed by a tractor ::) Thanks Colin for providing some wonderful entertainment. And yes I have taken around 1000 pictures, not counting videos.
Take care all,
Jeannine
Howdy, friends.
No, Marilyn, I am not going back to work at my job until Monday. But that doesn't mean I'm not working! I am trying to get this place ready for the family reunion that is approaching like a runaway train--second weekend in June is the time.
This weather is nuts! Today Kansas is having a blizzard!! Not here in our corner, but up in Goodland, NW corner of the state. And tornadoes all over the place. Yep, that global warming is really a threat, huh? :idiot: We are having horrible winds. Darrel is wanting to get the garden planted, but it is to frost again tonight. Sigh...
Beth is wearing her shoes! I am so thrilled. She hadn't had them in in many months, so that means the swelling has gone down in her ankles and feet. These shoes have braces on them, keeps her ankles from turning over so badly.
Jeannine and Colin, it's wonderful that you are having such a great time. And I would be taking scads of photos, too! :)
Ruth Ann, I'm thinking of and praying for you. Glad the dog is okay, too.
Etta Sue, Darrel asked me yesterday who I had called in Lapel, Indiana. ;) I had almost forgotten that I had called you.
Pat, the countdown is even shorter for your big day than for our big weekend. Of course, yours will change your life! How are you doing? I wish I could just take off and come there for the wedding.
I have calls to make and a family newsletter to write, and I'm sleepy already, so I'd best get with it.
Hello to all whom I didn't address personally. I do think about you!

Funny you should mention 50th Reunion. 2 weeks from tomorrow we will be celebrating our classes 50th reunion also. All the work we've been doing for the last year will come to a head.
Donna asked me if I was glad it ws going to be over. I said no. It has really been a labor of love...finding all those people and then talking to them, even if they cannot remember me.
Unlike an annual project for the City of Wayne that I chair. That job is more labor intensive and more and more each year these old bones are crying "Help"
Oh, my Ed... I can't even begin to imagine planning a 50th for a School.
I'd love to attend but I would leave the planning to others! :)
Looking forward to your being able to spend more time here, Ed.
Ruth Ann - you said something about looking for supplement insurance to go with Medicare. We had AARP, but then heard of something better. It's Mutual of Omaha. I suggest looking into it.
:) A late early morning post. It is great to read all the post's and always to here all the things that are goung on in each others lives.
This weekend we will be celebrating mothers day with our kid's and grandchildren as it will not be possible on the proper one and also my birthday is coming up so we will also do it at the same time. I cannot believe an other year has gone by.
We had some good new's about our grandson as he has just seen both the main doctor's that are looking after him and he also had an E.E.G. and all is well, also regarding his vertibrae the specialist says thing's at this age for him are looking good. But we still need to continue to pray for little Kaeden as he has long way to go.
Pat and Judy. Hope that Murray is feeling a bit better and will remember him and please say hi to him and Grace.
Larry: You asked me if my friends were relocating out to western Canada yes they are planning to.
To all others on C.P. have a wonderful weekend and may the Lord richly bless you all. :coffee:
Hi everyone. Interesting posts from yesterday. A number of you are certainly busy. I enjoyed a nice quiet day and hope for another one today. We will attend a meeting this morning when I get back from coffee. No walking today as the gym is locked on Saturday. Pat is up early this morning and just took her blood pressure and it is high again so she definitely needs to be on the medication for it.
Jeannine and Colin, what tales and I will take a look at the pictures a little later. The catching salmon in the middle of the road really threw me.
Janet, you are certainly a busy person. That is really good news concerning Beth and the shoes.
Gord, glad you little grandson is doing well. I know that is a big concern for all of your family.
Ed, I am sure your reunion will be very rewarding. A couple of years ago I planned our family reunion, the first one our generation had ever had, and I agree it is a lot of work but was certainly worth the effort.
Etta Sue, you and Ivalou are wise to take in plays and concerts in your local school. I am sure it will be a fun evening. I see the weather saved you again from having to bleach your porch. :)
Hi Al and Pat. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
Well I think summer is almost here. I just looked at the 5-day forecast, and most of it is for sunny. The temps are between a low of 45 and a high of 63. Sounds great to me! It's laundry day, so Marbeth will go up to the laundry room for about 3 hours today, and then we'll go out for lunch somewhere.

I had forgotten you called, too, Janet. We must do that again when we are both home and can talk instead of using the answering machine.
I, too, have Mutual of Omaha as a supplement for Medicare...Part F. So far this year I have only had premiums to pay...nothing else out of my pocket. But my drugs are still $1100 deductible so I use Generic when possible.
The play last night was the first musical in Lapel for over 20 years. The new auditorium was great with a large stage, lighting and spots and a fantastic sound system. 707 seats. There were 36 performers with costume changes. Two acts with set changes. The singing, acting, costumes, make-up, sets were great. Kitty painted some of the sets. Oh, yes! The play was 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat' written by Andrew Lloyd Webber back in the '60's! Wonderful to see a biblical play in a high school auditorium performed by high school students!
Next weekend they are having the Lapel Show Choir 40th Anniversary Show. I have tickets for it, too. The following weekend is the Variety Show. So nice to drive maybe 2 miles and see a great performance!!
Today it is only 66° with high winds. Water, 66° and high winds spells too cold to bleach again today... ::):) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

WOW :o
WOW is right! That IS an amazing coat! Etta Sue, I envy you the opportunity to go to so many live productions--I love them!
Ohhh...my old bones are groaning this evening. I worked much too hard today. Darrel and I did more cleaning, moving, etc. etc. in the garage. I will be surprised if I can get out of bed in the morning (and I am heading there soon!) I must have made at least 50 trips up and down the stairs, carrying things on each trip. :yikes: I just know I will be paying for it during the next few days, but still I thank God I am strong and able to do such heavy work. Even though I didn't have any "quitting sense" today. :-[
Carol and Liz, I can really relate to what you are both going through at this time. It will be nice to be rid of a ton of stuff, and to have everything clean, but oh, what a process. :P
What I was going to mention after we got home is that Darrel's brother is a really different sort of guy. He is wealthy, but lives really strangely. They live in a beautiful house, but he has done no upkeep, repairs, or anything in the 18 years they have lived there, not even painted a wall. And he buys and buys and buys.....stuff. Stuff he has no earthy use for nor intent to use. He got addicted to buying things online, she was buying from QVC, they had their own contest to see who could spend the most money. I don't know who won, but he spent $22,000 and now all that stuff is piled out in the shed in the back, no doors, perfect invitation to burglars, and they have discovered that fact. Very dysfunctional family, in Don's own words.
I have tried for years to find a way to reach Don for the Lord, but if I bring up the subject, he gets instantly angry and tells me in no uncertain terms that he does not want to hear anything about "religion." He respects the fact that we love the Lord, but he doesn't want to talk about Him at all. And he is 77 years old, just sitting in his chair and waiting to die! Very sad situation. Do any of you have any suggestions on how to reach him for the kingdom of God?
That's what I was thinking of when I said our home is our refuge and place of peace. I was most happy to get back here! TMI already, sorry.
I need to find something for us to eat, then I am headed to my bed.
So good to read all of your news.
Well, all this "social butterfly" activity of mine has worn me out!
G'nite, friends.
Janet, I wish I had some magic words or actions for you to reach him, but I don't. What I have found though, is even though he rejected Jesus today, and maybe tomorrow, there may come a day when he doesn't. All we can do is keep praying for him, living Jesus in front of him, and be ready to talk when the Holy Spirit guides us to.
It didn't rain today! :)
Wish I had an answer, Janet. Tried with my brother and he is in his 80's now. I didn't say anything about religion for a long while, but he became quite unpleasant on the phone, then stopped calling and didn't even send a Christmas card. Also a man with much money. His daughter lives with him and is not a nice person, so I can't even phone to find out what is happening. Sometimes we simply have to leave things alone and quietly pray....
All that remains to be done with the hardwood floors, are the stairs. Workmen have done a fantastic job, then take off for days and who knows when they will return. Seems that is the way with all the trades here now...Painter has some more to do, electrician was here today doing the new light fixtures (lovely) and also has to return.
And so it goes...... :-X
My daughter asked me to watch the Kentucky Derby with her today. I don't normally watch racing..don't like gambling or what they do to the animals. Love horses tho' and was horrified when the beautiful filly came in second and collapsed, then had to be put down right there, due to broken ankles. My daughter was so upset and like me, won't watch again!
I saw Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat a few years ago at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver. It has Donny Osbourne as the star and was wonderful. My daughter is taking me to see the Anne Murray concert in Victoria next week. I love her music and it is my mother's day gift. It is going to be a real treat as I have never been to one of her concerts and her voice is still great.
Have not posted a little smile in some time...so here is one:
"A dog named Mace"
A mechanic who worked out of his home had a dog named Mace.
Mace had a bad habit of eating all the grass in the mechanic's lawn, so the mechanic had to keep Mace inside. The grass eventually became overgrown.
One day the mechanic was working on a car in his back yard and dropped his wrench losing it in the tall grass. He couldn't find it for the life of him so decided to call it a day.
That night Mace escaped from the house and ate all the grass in the back yard. The next morning the mechanic went outside and saw his wrench glinting in the sunlight.
Realizing what had happened he looked up the the heavens and proclaimed......
"A grazing Mace, how sweet the hound that saved a wrench for me!"
;) ;) ;)
Pleasant Day/Evening and God Bless.
Liz
Oooohhh LIZ!! That's a real groaner. :D
Well, my goodness! Can you imagine me, this elderly lady, having a Bridal Shower?
Well, I had one! Thanks Judy and Ruthie for organizing this.
I travelled into my cousin Ruthie's home yesterday in Toronto and found several cousins and friends there and what a lovely time we had. And some sent gifts who couldn't attend!
Whewww... I feel young again!
Hi everyone. We ended up with basically no rain yesterday. Today is just beautiful and suppose to get to 75 degrees. We will be headed to church shortly and probably out to lunch.
Pat, you are young and I think the bridal shower was very nice. Glad you enjoyed it.
LIz, it is too bad the workmen don't finish what they are doing at one location and then move on. Several years ago I had some carpentry work done upstairs and the man I hired focused on what he was doing and had the job done in about three days with no followup needed. Liz, that story really lead us on--aren't you ashamed of yourself? :)
Janet, it sounds like you had a very uncomfortable time with your visit to Darrel's brother. It is sad when money becomes the focus of life and it certainly doesn't bring happiness. I can't imagine just buying things from QVC or other online sites and never even opening the boxes. What a waste of money. Is your garage under your house? I didn't understand the climbing the steps so many times while working in your garage.
Etta Sue, that is quite a costume. The new school auditorium sounds really nice. After our new high school opened a few years ago down the road from us we attended a play. However, they had no sound system and most of the kids couldn't be heard unless they were singing in a group. I expect they have fixed the problem by now but we haven't been back to a play. I know we would enjoy it if we would just go.
Al, it sounds like you are ready for spring out your way. You all sound like us in that when we have a major choir to accomplish or have been out to appointments, etc., Pat is often too tired to cook so we will eat out.

Liz ~ The insert in our program for 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat' states that QuoteReally Useful Films released a filmed version of the successful London Palladium production starring Donny Osmond, Joan Collins and Richard Ateenborough in 1999.
Did you mean Osmond instead of Osbourne?
Church was great today as always. I slept good last night...maybe because I really didn't want to go to church today for some reason. So I guess my mind was telling me, if the alarm doesn't work..no big deal...you don't want to go anyway! But, in fact, I woke up 5 minutes before the alarm alarmed and so I was ready and out the door in no time! Still...I think Danny Curry is an amazing preacher!! Not afraid to preach about anything. Today was about SEX! Our sermons are online now so if you want to listen, click on http://www.parkchapel.org/Park_Chapel_Christian_Church/Park_Chapel.html
then >>Podcasts>>Crossing. Today's isn't on there yet but later it will be May 4. You can listen to April 20...I am getting ready to listen to that since I was sick that weekend.
Congratulations, Pat, on having a Bridal Shower. No matter how old you are, you are a Bride so why not a Bridal Shower? It's the gathering of lady friends that count! <: )) ))><<~~> <: )) ))><<~~< <: )) ))><<~~<

PAT!! There is NO WAY you can convince anyone that you are "elderly" :o Besides that, as Etta Sue noted, all brides deserve a Bridal Shower ... and getting together with good friends is a real blessing in preparation for your big day. I'm happy for you --- and forget about using that "o" word (or even the "e" word), okay? <3
Amen Jane We did have a great time. I saw cousins that I havn't seen in a couple of years, in one case more than a couple. Pat received some very nice gifts and I know she and paul will ewnjoy them.
We just finished a birthday party for Elizabeth. Some good friends came to my place of work and had a wonderful time of fellowship. Two of these friends created on the spot, songs for her wishing her a happy birthday. Justin is like a son to us and a brother to the girls, he is so very talented.
Well I have let the cold that is making the rounds catch up with me. Sore throat and full sinuses. I don't have time for this. I will be off to bed early tonight to see if I can sleep it off.
Bye for now, God bless.
JudyB
Guess that was a senior moment, Etta Sue. Yes, I did mean Donny Osmond. It was the live production and quite good. I think that is what sort of started his career again? Joan Collins was not in it tho', this was the American production.
I used to get to live shows. Not possible now. Most of the things at the new centre in Victoria are not my kind of musicals. Anne Murray is different, besides, my budget does not allow that sort of expense. Horrible price for most things. There are some great shows being done at Brentwood School, which is close and a reasonable cost. If the kids ever get their lives back, will try and talk my daughter into going. People come from all over for some of the shows. Brentwood is a private school and has students from all over the world. Quite posh!! ::)
The sun is out today. Hope it stays out tomorrow. I am going to run away for the day and window shop in Victoria. Peace at last ;)
Pleasant Day/Evening and God Bless.

I'm Back, had a very ice weekend. Made a short call to Nita to ask how Rocko was doing? He hasn't been well lately. Still trying to catch up on my reading, just wanted to tell you that I made it home safely although I did get a speeding ticket coming back home.
Welcome home, Marilyn
