THE BIBLE STANDS
(Click title for music)

The Bible stands like a rock undaunted
'Mid the raging storms of time;
Its pages burn with the truth eternal,
And they glow with a light sublime.

Refrain
The Bible stands though the hills may tumble,
It will firmly stand when the earth shall crumble;
I will plant my feet on its firm foundation,
For the Bible stands.

The Bible stands like a mountain towering
Far above the works of men;
Its truth by none ever was refuted,
And destroy it they never can.

Refrain

The Bible stands and it will forever,
When the world has passed away;
By inspiration it has been given,
All its precepts I will obey.

Refrain

The Bible stands every test we give it,
For its Author is divine;
By grace alone I expect to live it,
And to prove and to make it mine.

Today's Devotional

Charting Our Course by His Word

"But whoso keepeth His word, in Him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him."  - 1John 2:5

The word "keepeth" in 1 John is a derivative of a word that sailors used years ago to refer to their practice of steering their course by "keeping" the stars.

This did not mean, of course, that a sailor would not be blown off course or that he might not over-steer. It didn't mean that he might not nod at the wheel or somehow be distracted, or fail to keep a perfect chart. But the goal, the aim, the desire, and the controlling principle in his life were those stars. He knew that in them he could find direction to his destination.

In the same way, John says God's commandments are to be the standard by which you and I chart our courses in life.
What is determining your steps today? God's Word? Or your word?

Hi everyone on a beautiful Sunday morning.  I will attend Sunday School and church this morning.  Pat fixed up with a spice mix a baking chicken and I got it into the oven a little after 7 this morning as it needs to bake for 6 hours on a low heat.  It should be a good finish today to the golf tourney and I plan on watching it.

Janet, you did a full days work just pulling all those weeds and preparing the peaches.  Give yourself a break and don't try to do it all in one day as the work most often will wait for you.  Just ask yourself "How important is it".  I often finds this helps me put things into perspective.  Pat and I both enjoy banana peppers and always get them on subs.  Glad Abby is going to help you with your iPhone and that is a very nice payment for her help.  Yes, it is interesting to be right next door to a a house being built.  There is really a lot of hard work that goes into it.  The workmen stopped at noon yesterday but I am sure they will be back at work early tomorrow morning.  Yes, our house had been built but not finished out when we bought it.

Carol, thanks for the info on Walmart shopping and I will have to check it out.  Pat just ordered paper products and several other items through Amazon Prime.

Jane, thanks for sharing the devotional with us for this week.

Janet

I really did like today's devotional, Jane.  Thanks!  Adrian Rogers was a wonderful man of God and teacher.

Larry, I did overdo it yesterday morning, and my body protested a lot!  I was so sore I ouched every time I moved for the rest of the day.  I wanted to get those pesky weeds before it got too hot outside, and I am very glad it is done--well, for another few days anyway.  This having been a wetter than normal spring and summer, the bind weed has just about taken this place over!!  Between mowings, it gets about 18 inches thick!  Ugh.

At church this morning, a very nice member who is a farmer and owns an irrigation business, had a trailer with lots of peaches and cream sweet corn, which he was giving away.  Man, it's good! 8)  Really sweet, and just at the peak time of goodness!  Yum!

Larry, thanks for the information on your house.  I kind of thought yours was likely a brand new one, since they are just building one next to you.  That IS a lot of work, and a really skilled carpenter is such a blessing.  I have great respect and a good deal of affection for Lon, who did our remodel after the water damage a few years ago.  It felt like it was taking forever, but we are so pleased with the good job he did, so it was worth the wait.

I hope some more of you come in and chat today!

I am here but somewhat groggy with pain killers - and we are scheduled to go to a play tonight with neighbors - their future DIL is singing in it.  It will be in the old mining town of Golden so we look forward to the entertainment.  My back is getting better - much too slowly.

Jane:  Thank you for devotions - I don't know the name of Adrian Rogers but will do a search.

Larry:  We don't have Amazon Prime - our t.v. apparently is too old to use their movie deal - sure wish we could get it but this t.v. is just fine.  It is just amazing that everything we buy is outdated so quickly.  Pat's chicken recipe sounds interesting for the oven.  let us know how that turns out.

A cool-down is headed here this week so that is something we look forward to usually in September.

I called my youngest brother who has not called me in years but I do try to keep the lines open.  It is a terrible waste of energy in misplaced anger on his part - but I do think he likes to have me make the overtures so I will keep on praying and keep on calling.  You never know.

Jeanne Lee

Jane, wonderful message from Adrian Rogers today.  We used to always watch his show on TV - until we lost that channel.

Hi everyone.  It has been a very busy morning but got a lot done. I have done my morning walk, made a trip to Walmart, fixed breakfast for Pat and I and did the normal morning chores around here.  Now I am ready to just be at my desk for a couple of hours and rest.  It was very pleasant outside and before 8 am is a good time to get to Walmart.  The only other thing I plan on doing today is going to a noon meeting, unless I have run out of energy by then.

Janet, how nice of your fellow church member to share his sweet corn and peaches with you all.  The chicken turned out very well and moist.  Too bad your youngest brother doesn't want to maintain a relationship with you.  We never give up on them.

Janet

Hi Larry!  The corn is called peaches and cream, I guess because the kernels are differing colors.  And I don't have a youngest brother; my only brother is the eldest of the siblings.  (Not that it matters, of course.  I do still try to maintain a link with them.  It's stupid they don't seem to want to, they only live 100 miles away!.

I finished a watercolor painting yesterday afternoon!  :)  It's much easier to use watercolors, as getting the paint out, cleaning up with only water, and not wasting paint is better.  I* only have to spray water on the dry W.C. paints, and I'm good to go again!

Hmmm.....They are talking about a new Star Wars Disney attraction that is soon to open.  I will likely skip that one!  But I know lots of people love Star Wars!

We have been to the gym, I have been to the photographer who took Abby's senior pictures Proof Cart and made a list of my favorites, out of the dozens of poses she took!  This was at Abby's request.

I want to call Consumer Cellular today and see if the phone number has been transferred to the iPhone yet.  Then get some help with it..... :yakyakyak:

Have a good day---oh!  We were blessed with 1 3/4 inches of wonderful, refreshing rain again last night!  God is so good!

I decided to show my face here today ... actually I decided to do that yesterday but things and stuff keep getting in the way of my good intentions.

I first heard of Adrian Rogers from a Seniornet friend (Gina Spears) who was a member of his church.  She told me where she sat in the congregation each Sunday so I could spot her while watching the televised service. I don't think I ever truly spotted her, but I did thoroughly enjoy the sermons each week. They had great music, too!

I took Bebe to the vet today to find out where the blood was coming from, She has a mass (cancer) on the roof of her mouth. there is nothing more we can do for her. Soft food, Ice cream is ok to give her as well. He said when she starts to bleed and it doesn't stop I will have to make the dreaded decision to let her go and have her put down. He said she could have another month or a season but he didn't think it would be much more that a month,. He said she would start to bleed profusely and it would not stop.

Oh dear, Marilyn.  What sad news for you to hear.  I know how attached you are to Bebe, (in fact all your animals) and how difficult the decision will be when the time comes.

Hi everyone on a cloudy Tuesday morning.  We apparently had some rain during the night.  The workers are on the scene next door bright and early (they didn't work yesterday) and I hear the lawn people at work so know they will soon be working on this end of the street and doing my yard.  After a super busy morning yesterday I hope today will be much quieter.  I do plan on replacing the batteries in my smoke alarms and paying some bills and will also go downtown to coffee this morning. I think I will suggest to Pat that we go out for a late lunch at the Panda Express. She likes that place a lot as they always have mixed vegetables as one of the two sides you get with an entree.

Janet, I met to make my remark about the younger brother to Carol as she had commented about a call she had made.  Another senior moment.  What a nice rain you had Sunday night.

Jane, always good to see a posting from you.  I don't think I have ever heard Adrian Rogers preach.  I did discover a Christian radio station here in North Augusta yesterday.  It is a part of the Good News Network.

Marilyn, so sorry for you on the news your vet gave you concerning your beloved Bebe.  I am sure glad you have already added a canine member to your household.

Carol

We are keeping a watch on the Chelan, Washington area fires - both of my brother live there now and one is a volunteer fireman.  The National Guard was called in to help as well as Air Force military.  Praying for rain to start and the wind to stop.  one brother is building a house on the outskirts of town but really busy with fires now.

A half night of sleep last night but that is better than zero sleep.  Our granddaughter moves into her room at Co State in Fort Collins on Thursday - we are not going near the place.  It is very organized - with each vehicle unloaded by upper class students - a big welcome and so forth but no place for a granny.  Would love to see it though.

Now off to call my cousin who still has health issues from being shot in the knee in Korea - remember that war?  What a war-like nation we have lived through.  I remember the troops coming back through Seattle even though I was a little person - and the VA hospital was near our house so that was so busy.

Have a very good day.

Janet

We had another half-inch of rain last night!  It was accompanied by lots of thunder and lightning, too.  I was having one of 'those' nights, with hiccups and restless legs, so was awake until around 1 AM.  And it is pleasantly cool today, too!   8)

Larry, I wondered if your comment was meant for someone else.  That's okay!  ;)  Boy!  Lots going on around here today!  I was determined to get the iPhone problem solved, but that isn't happening!  I called, and they still haven't transferred the number!  Said they are waiting for information from Pioneer Communications (our land line company).  Well, it has only been nine days!  :-\  I guess it will get done when it gets done.  I did get my numbers put into the iPhone yesterday, the hard way--one at a time!  So at least that part is done.  We will keep my other cell number for a while until we get the 'bugs' worked out of the change.

Marilyn, loss is a part of life, and we all go through those times.  I guess it is good to remember the words of Pollyanna (remember that story?) when her mother said, after their house burned, "Thank God, it was the pig and not the baby that burned."  I still feel sad about the last dog we had (and some previous ones) but life goes on.  I hope you take these words in the spirit intended; I am not in any way trying to make light of your upcoming loss of Bebe, as I know it hurts.  (((hugs)))

The mailman just delivered two big boxes from John.  He kindly put them in the car for me, so I can just take them to town and put them in John's apartment.  The gal I am buying the furniture for him from plans to bring that today, so we can get two jobs done at once!!  :)  John told Beth he is leaving Utica on Thursday so he should arrive her on Monday.  Please remember to pray about the wheelchair for Beth--we go this Thursday to get her assessed and measured.

Carol, I sure understand about "a half-night is better than none!"  Hope you sleep well tonight!

Time to get another chore or three done!

Hi everyone on anothr overcast morning.  We had a rude awakening about 5:30 this morning when one of our fire alarms beeped and then stopped and in a few minutes beeped again.  I got up and tried to find out which one was doing the beeping and it has not done it since.  I changed all the batteries so don't think that is it unless I didn't get something put back right.  We didn't go out to lunch yesterday as Pat wasn't feeling up to it.  So it was a quiet afternoon.  Our son came out for a short while after he got off work last evening.  He is really grieving.  Nothing on the schedule for today.  I did get out and walk for a short time this morning and had to come back and take a nitro tablet.  We did get a little rain yesterday evening.

Carol, I know your brother's situation with the fires is very worrisome to you.  This has been a really bad year for fires.  It is nice that the upper class students help the new students get settled.  It does sound like a place to avoid.

Janet, you should be able to have the calls from your old phone but transferred over to the iPhone so you don't have to kept two phones at hand. It sounds like things are falling in place for John's move to his new apartment.  I am sure you have been and will be a big help to him.

Janet

My goodness!  It is mid afternoon and so far, only Larry has been here to post!  Come on, folks, we don't want to lose this place whee we keep in touch with each other--at least, I don't!

Larry, I'm sure Scott has sad days, and I pray he will feel the comfort of our Lord when those days threaten to overwhelm him.  Sorry the walk was almost too much for you.  I'm feeling the workouts at the gym, but sticking to it.

The furniture for John was a big disappointment!  I guess that's what happens when you buy something without seeing it first.  The bed, mattress, box spring is fine, but no dresser, and the chest is VERY small.  three little drawers.....not really a chest of drawers at all.  It will work okay for a night stand, I guess.  So  I am still looking for furniture!

We will leave tomorrow about 1:30 to take Beth to Lamar to be assessed and measured for a new wheelchair!  I hope I don't forget anything important.  I have written down questions and such.

Darrel really tested his body today.  That big rain a few nights ago caused the ditch that had been dug when they pulled the well to cave in, and also filled the well cylinder over half full of mud.  So he went out and dug dirt--wet dirt-- from around the edges of the garden and hauled it with a wheelbarrow to fill in the ditch..  He wore a support belt and his knee brace, and says the only thing still hurting from that work is his recently broken ankle.  Digging the mud out will be a real chore, involving buckets and lots of lifting.  Ugh.

It's still nice and cool here, but they are warning us not to put our summer clothes away too soon!

I need to do some chores here so I can be gone tomorrow for half a day.

Hi from the island!

Since Jane poked her head above ground, I decided to join in....
So sorry about your dog Marilyn.  I still have Misty, after weeks of nursing and worry.  Of course, it is only temp. as there is a short life span with her cancer.  But she is once again playing happily in the garden and sleeping on my bed at night.  So I am grateful for whatever time is given.....

The forest fires are terrible here in BC.  Firefighters were out watering in some of the residential areas in Shawnigan lake the other day.  No end in sight and the loss and expense for all folks in both our countries simply boggles the mind.

There has been a number of answered prayers recently.  My granddaughter is on perm. staff now and it normally takes two yrs. for this to happen.  My son in law got his very important contract renewed and won't have to let employees go....God is Good!  Sometimes one can get depressed with all the sad things happening in the world and we need to hold on very tight to our faith.

I have been listening and watching streaming from Christ Church in Nashville and it has good music and messages.  Perhaps Rae Ann knows something about the minister....he has a nice singing voice and gives a good message.

Where have all the interesting folks gone who used to post here?  I wish they would take a minute to post.  Colin, I loved your poem and have save it to print and put on my fridge.  Thank you.

Take care and God Bless.

Liz
CHANGE NOT THY FAITH WITH CHANGING TIMES

Larry Hanna

Hi everyone on a warm August morning here in South Carolina.  I slept better last night and didn't awake until 7 am.  I have done my routine morning chores and put the trash can at the street.  We had a very nice 1/2 inch rain yesterday afternoon but today is to get up to 90 degrees and stay sunny.  I will go to coffee at 10 this morning and stay downtown to attend the Wisdom group at church at 11:30.  That will be plenty for today.  I did go out and walk this morning but took the nitro before starting and got along much better than yesterday.

Janet, at least John will have a good bed when he gets there and that is the most important thing as he can live out of boxes and suitcases until you all find the right furniture.  Hope your trip today to Lamar won't be totally exhausting for all concerned and the results will be most satisfactory so you can check that item off your list.  If I recall Darrel has a bit of a heart problem so it seems that digging mud is something for a younger man to do.  I know this is none of my business but I am just concerned about him that he doesns't reinjure himself or bring on a heart attack.

Liz, good to see that your cat seems to be in remission of the cancer at this point and enjoying life again.  I didn't realize you all were also experiencing the terrible fires.  Good news for your granddaughter and it sounds like she is certainly a quality employee to be hired before the normal permanent hiring time.  Also good news for your son-in-law as sure that removes some stress from his life.  I think we need to be aware of what is happening in the world but not allow ourselves to wallow in it.

Carol

Janet:  You are most likely driving west for Beth's chair today - saying a prayer.

Larry:  You must feel thankful to "be there" for your son and good that he can confide in you two.  I like the name of the Wisdom group.

Liz:  All the west coast is in dire straights with the fire situation - all those beautiful trees and now there are three firefighters killed and others burned in the Okenagan area - terribly sad.   Glad that you came in to post.  How is everything going with you these days???  Yes, we would like to see Colin post too.

Jeanne Lee

Another "clammy" day.  Temperature only low to mid-800's but humidity up around 90%.  That does make things rather sticky.  8)

Larry, I'm not sure whether I really should thank you for introducing me to bookgorilla.  It's just too easy to read, rather than do some cleaning.   :(  I've even found out of print books by Mary Roberts Rinehart.  To say nothing of Agatha Christie and some of the other past writers.  So good not to need to skim past steamy scenes and potty language.

Hi, friends,

I'm peeking in after having my computer at the shop for another week.

Thank y'all for posting and keeping me informed.

I wish I could comment to everything, but find that's impossible tonight. In the course of the day, I ended up driving almost 65 miles. So, I'm really tired.

Hopefully, more tomorrow.

Love to all,

Hi everyone.  It is another overcast morning.  I have done my morning walk and watered my flowers and done the other daily chores become coming to my office.

I didn't sleep too well last night so stayed in bed later this morning and before I got up I read my email and caught up on the postings in the discussions.  Nothing on tap for today although may make a brief visit to the grocery store.

Yesterday before I came home from the Wisdom group meeting I stopped at Ruby Tuesday's and got Pat and I a good take out meal.  That took care of the food issue for the day.  The workmen are back at the new house next door working on the siding.  They were here before 7:30 but had missed being here the last two days.  I sort of think they will finish up today.

Carol, we are thankful to be here for our son.

Jeanne Lee, I enjoy going through the list of new books being offered and will buy for zero cost any that I think might be interesting.  The problem is I don't get many read but I do enjoy looking at the book covers from time to time.  There are many classics and books out of copyright that are available as ebooks for no cost.

Ruth Ann, did you have to send your computer back to the shop after getting it home a few days ago?  I hope you had a good nights rest.

Janet

Good morning!  How good it is to see Liz posting again!  It is so terrible, the fires in Oregon and California and region; now the loss of lives and terrible injuries to others.  They said on TV a bit ago, "It looks like a scene straight out of hell!"  So many people are losing their homes and all their possessions, too.  We who are fortunate not to be experiencing those things cannot imagine the stresses caused by them, but we do need to be faithful to pray for them.  Is this part of the great shaking we  are told will preceed the end?  I believe it is.

The trip to Lamar, Colorado yesterday was quite tiring, and the fellow was late who did the measuring, etc.  But he was very thorough, and told us about the new advances in technology which should make the chair much more comfortable for Beth, such as new cushions designed by people who have been making prostheses for years.  Her new chair will be manufactured specifically for Beth, and should be so much more comfortable.  It is to be lightweight, easy to handle, and allow her to sit in a more upright position, making it easier to get her close to the table to feed her.  Oh, how I pray this will be the blessing she needs, and not another in the long string of disappointments we have had in attempting to find help for her!   I have covered it with a lot of prayer and am trusting that my prayers, and those of others who love Beth will be graciously answered.  We didn't get home until almost 10:00, and I was exhausted, but too "wired" to sleep for quite a while after that.  So I'm sleepy this morning.

Darrel wants to go to Garden city to buy a new wheelbarrow and some other things.  The wheel fell apart on the old one the other day.  Right, Larry; Darrel does have to be careful about overdoing the heavy work.  He does stop when he feels he needs to; he is much better about that than I am!  There is lots more to do around the well, and I wish we had someone we could hire to do it, but I really don't know of anyone we could get.  So Darrel says he will do a little at a time until he gets it done.  He did some mowing yesterday while I was gone, and says the new mower is much easier riding than the old one was, but the blades already need to be sharpened.

I have a hair appointment at 10:30, then we will leave for Garden.  My iPhone still cannot receive calls.  :(  I'm about ready to send it back and forget it!  I've had it for over two weeks now, and the number still hasn't been transferred!   I can call out on it, but can't receive!  Phooey!

I do wish a lot of our former members here would come in and post!  And I'd enjoy seeing posts from Pat a lot more often, too.  Hello, Pat!!  Please come talk to us!

Judy and John, where are you?  I know, it is summer and lots of work to do........

It sounds as if it will  be several weeks before the new chair is ready.  It will be hard to remain patient!

Yes, come on down - up or in here - whatever!  We need to "see" you!

My little back problem has been going on for a week and how things get dusty with everything open - so, I am managing to do a bit at a time.  Today is great - looking forward to lunch out with friends from church.  We always have a quick prayer before eating and it is something rarely seen in our area of the country anymore.  I have a cousin's husband who has really long prayers and the poor waitresses are polite but they are carrying heavy loads so I just cringe when he begins his prayers - trying to get him to start earlier than when he sees the food coming.   ;)

My brother is still a volunteer fireman in the Chelan, Washington area - the little towns in the area are totally wiped out.  What is it like to lose all earthly goods?  Some even lose their work places.

Don is listening (on his computer) to two sessions of out-of-death-experiences.  He has forwarded them to me and when I have time (they are 1 1/2 hours long) will listen.  If any of you would like to listen to these wonderful testimonies, let me know and I could send the sites on to you.  We went to church a few months ago and heard the young boy who experienced this at the age of four.

Hi, friends,

I'm just about finished with all my outside activities today. I took the badly disabled lady to the doctor, then to pick up something she had ordered from the Lifeway Bookstore here in town, then a leisurely fast food lunch (she can't go into a restaurant anymore, but wants the relief of eating something other than what she can get together in her apartment).

Now, I think I left my cell phone in the car, so will go retrieve it, and empty my trash.

Then, I'll search for more from the presidential candidates. C-Span is featuring many speeches and town meetings, which help me to learn "from the horse's mouth" so to speak. I'm grateful to be able to watch this in comfort from my home.

Marilyn, I'm so sorry about your Bebe. May she be as comfortable as possible during these last days, and may you be comforted with your love for Bebe.

Janet, I hope the new wheelchair will provide Beth with better options than she currently experiences. It's great to learn that little by little, y'all are recovering from your trauma.

Carol, I deal with lots of back problems, so can empathize with what you're going through.

Liz, thanks for coming in to share with us.

Jeanne, I enjoy your brief messages.

Jane, thanks for the great devotional. It's good to hear from you again.

Larry, I wish I could read more, but with the macular degeneration, my left eye gets a sharp pain in it after reading a few paragraphs, and I need to wait until later to pick up my reading material again. I do so much enjoy reading of your days. Yes, I did have to take the computer shop up on their 30 day repair guarantee. But, they worked their magic, so I'll enjoy using it once again.

Y'all have a good rest of the day.

Ruth Ann

Hi everyone and another warm morning.  I got out early and did my walking for the day and the other chores I do each morning around the house.  Yesterday was a quiet day as just stayed home all day.  The workmen finished putting on the siding of the new home next door.  The only thing I have on my schedule for today is to go to the grocery store after while for a few items and then will stay in where it is cool.  I watched some of the golf match yesterday afternoon and will do so again this afternoon.

Janet, it sounds encouraging on the wheelchair front for Beth.  Hope you were able to rest up yesterday.  That also must have been a terribly long and tiring day for Beth.  Glad Darrel realizes he needs to rest when he gets tired and not overdo at one time.  It sounds like someone has really dropped the ball on getting your telephone number transferred.  I think it took only three or four days when I transferred our home landline number to my cell phone.

Carol, your having a prayer when eating out is a good example to people.  I certainly hope we never get to the point where it is outlawed to do such a thing because someone might be offended.  We do the same thing and usually everyone at the table holds hands.  Sure wish your back would improve.  We would usually have our blessing before the food was served.  Have you considered finding someone to help with the housework.  Believe me it is worth the cost. Has your brother lost his home in the fires and is he fighting the fires.

Ruth Ann, I am sure you are an angel to the lady you help getting to the doctor and taking her out to eat.  I understand your problem of doing much reading.  Do you use recorded books that can usually be downloaded from the library?  They are great because you can listen without straining your eyes, especially when they are closed.  Of course the danger with that is going to sleep and then having to try to find where you left off listening.  God has blessed me with good eyesight and hearing and I am most thankful.  Glad your computer is again in top shape.

The morning started off beautiful and cool, but it is really heating up out there now!  We went in and got the chest of drawers we bought John unloaded, put the bed frame together, put the box springs and mattress on it, and I made it up with the pretty new purple sheets I bought for him.  So now he has a nice clean bed to sleep in, some drawers for his socks, etc. and can settle right in.  We will wait until he gets here to move the living room pieces and the desk I am going to give him, and the dining room table and chairs.  Darrel can hook up the low trailer to move those thing, so we don't have to lift them so high.

Another man just moved into the apartment next door to John's, so there will be two men in the building.  For several years, there has been only women living there.  The ladies are excited for John to get here, they have all really taken a liking to him, and are so impressed with how much he obviously loves Beth, and how good he is to her.   :)

I picked a few tomatoes a while ago, and more yellow peppers.  I need to figure out something to do with those peppers!

I want to see if I can call John, don't know for sure when he is to arrive here.

Hi, friends,

It's been a quiet day today, so not much to share.

Y'all have a good rest of the day, and may our Lord grant us His wonderful blessings as He sees we have need.

Love to all,
Ruth Ann

Hi everyone.  It is a humid 74 degrees here this morning so am glad I got out fairly early to walk. We had a nice, but short, rain shower yesterday afternoon and more is likely this afternoon.  I will go to Sunday School and Church in about an hour and then pick up something for our Sunday lunch.

I will rest and watch a little golf later this afternoon.  Late yesterday afternoon Pat stirred up that angel food/pineapple cake and it is truly delightful.  We plan to share some with your neighbor next door.

Ruth Ann, God is so generous with his blessings.  Hope your day today will be pleasant for you and you will feel up to attending church.

Janet, you are certainly looking after the needs of John at his new apartment.  It sounds like the two men will get a lot of attention at the apartment.  :)  Pat has found she can dice peppers and freeze them for future use.
