Morning Devotional...

OUR HIGHEST HAPPINESS

Verse

If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
John 13:17

Let me call it to your attention that the happiness of all moral creatures lies in the giving of obedience to God, the Creator. The psalmist cries out in Psalm 103:20: "Bless the Lord, ye his angels; that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word." The angels in heaven find their complete freedom and highest happiness in obeying the commandments of God. They do not find it a tyranny-they find it a delight! Here is something that we should know and realize: heaven is a place of surrender to the whole will of God and it is heaven because it is such a place. I thank God that heaven is the world of God's obedient children. Whatever else we may say of its pearly gates, golden streets and jasper walls, heaven is heaven because children of the Most High God find they are in their normal sphere as obedient moral beings.

Thought
The happiness of all moral creatures lies in the giving of obedience to God, the Creator.

Prayer

Lord, I do look forward to heaven, and I wish to replicate a little of what heaven will be like here and now. I will obey you.

Hi everyone.  First of all, thanks Don for that very fine devotional reading for this week.  Our obedience to God is so important.

I fixed our breakfast this morning of scrambled eggs, ham and cheese and a homemade bran muffin.  Pat added some strawberries to her breakfast and I had a nice glass of orange juice.

Another nice clear morning and an expected high of only 88 degrees but a bit humid.  I will go to Sunday School and Church this morning and then pick up something for lunch.  Right now nothing else on the schedule for today other than I do plan on watching the golf tournament this afternoon.  It starts at 2 pm today but will not tune in until later as will rest and listen to Don's radio program before turning to golf.

I hope a few more people join in the discussion today as I am boring myself with my postings.  However, I know people have other things to do which prevent them from posting here or they are postings in other discussions.

OK, Larry.  Here's my exciting story.   ;D

We're having cool and breezy weather - great for drying clothes on the line.  But it doesn't really feel as though we've had a "real" summer.  There has not been any spell that makes me think "maybe I do need an air conditioner".  I've had to turn on the fans only about four or five nights, and then only two in the windows and one ceiling.  The worst we've had has been humidity of 80% or so with temperatures around 850.  And fall seems just around the corner.

So, there you are - enough to keep you from being bored?   :D

And with all that, I forgot to let Don know how welcome his devotional is this morning.  Thanks, Don!

Hi everyone.  This has been a morning with a lovely downpour for well over an hour and we had the same last evening although for a shorter time.  I did remember to turn off my sprinklers as sure didn't need to water this morning.  We will be hot, up to 90, this afternoon with humidity.  I do plan on going to a meeting at noon and that will likely be the extent of my being outside today.

Jeanne and Janet, I wasn't bored this morning when I read the postings since yesterday morning.  Thanks.

Janet

Good morning to our early bird, faithful Larry!  I didn't make it back last night, after all.  So here is my post to cover the past three days!  ;)  On Friday, I went with my painting friend to Newton, Kansas for our chapter's annual Seminar.  It is a long way across Kansas!  And we weren't going ALL the way.  Anyway, we had a good time painting, going to garage sales, and got to shop a little at a couple of stores.  Newton has so many creeks and railroad tracks, it's the hardest town to find your way around in I have ever visited!  Class was Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.

We left Newton at about 3:00 PM, and as we approached Garden City, we had been watching the clouds, and there were really dark rain clouds in the area. It wasn't raining there, but they had just had a downpour!  All the streets were running with water!  When we got to Lakin, where Winona lives, it wasn't raining but looked like it would start any minute.  I hurriedly got my stuff into my car and headed for home.  It began to rain before I got from her house to the highway, and soon was so heavy I could barely see the road.  I kept going, and it kept getting heavier and louder!  I could glimpse the center dashed lines on the road some, and occasionally, the outer edge line , but it was really scary.  I turned off the radio and prayed.  The louder the storm got, the louder I prayed!  It kept me from being so scared, and I didn't dare stop;, for fear someone would hit me!  It's only about 30 miles, but it sure did seem longer!  So Im praising God for safety on the highway AGAIN!   I testify, folks, that it always pays to pray for protection EVERY time you get in your car!!  Thank you, Jesus!

We had a Christian comedian as a speaker yesterday.  It was very entertaining and he also got a lot of teaching done via his humor.

I got my new iPhone 6 and am trying to set it up, but it won't connect to our wifi.  Hmmm.....what to do?

Now some more of you come in and leave Larry (and the rest of us) something to read!  Okay?

Thanks!   :)

Many thanks for Devotions!

It looks like quite a few prayers have been answered - on the spot so to speak.

Janet:  Just wondering if you were in the same storm that damaged a plane that made an emergency landing in CO.  They had lightning hit a wing and it looked like two broken front windows - heavy hail - heavy turbulence.

I am multi-tasking as usual.  Cleaning out the fridge, washing dishes, washing clothes and in between catching up here.  It is cool outside.  We are trying to get two things fixed on the house & promises are not being met.

We were not able to watch the debates but have read about it.  The last three weekends have been spent with children and one more birthday (DIL) is this month.    :coffee:  Sipping tea - back to cleaning that fridge.

Hello from your Along lost AWOL friend here in Oregon. Did you miss me?  It's been a busy few days but then most of my days are pretty Busy. We wne to a furry Friends picnic yesterday handles and spouses only no dogs. t ws BBQ'ed hamburger\s and hot dogs, but oh the sides were all do wonderful. I  stayed t the veggie dishes  and my 1 hamburger until. I saw the wonderful dessert. I was a good girl  and didn't eat any cheesecake.

This morning before 10 am I had been to the chiropractor, started the laundry ,went to the gym and walked each of the dogs.

Hi, friends,

I'm using my phone to speak for me today. My computer is taking a short disability leave.

So will be brief. I watched a Dr Oz show this afternoon and Janet there was a segment that you should watch. It was about a man who as a boy was stricken with a puzzling disease that essentially made him locked inside and totally helpless. He became aware of life around him, then a nurse, years later a nurse recognized he was aware. His recovery is in a book called Ghost Boy. I believe it could be very helpful for Beth.

Much love to all, and more later when I get myself back online normally.

Thanks so much, Ruth Ann.  Any help we could find for Beth would be wonderful.  May I be able to find that show online?  A re-run, possibly?  I will check.

Marilyn--welcome back!

Hi everyone on this Tuesday and overcast morning.  Our high is predicted to be 88 today.  The yard men have started our weekly yard mowing and trimming, which doesn't take very long on any one yard as they are so small.  With the rain we have had the yards are looking nice and green again.

I am planning on going to coffee at 10 am and then sometime after noon Pat and I will go to Ryan's for our big meal of the day.  We have another coupon for a $2 lunch or dinner with a regular priced one but only good through tomorrow.  That is too good to pass up and Pat is ready to get out of the house for a little bit today.

Each day Pat seems to be feeling better and only occasionally needs to take a pain pill and when she does it is just a Motrin that was prescribed.

I had a very pleasant experience yesterday.  I saw a posting for an ex-great grandson (actually no blood relationship but our son had met the mother when she was 6 months pregnant and they eventually married and he raised the son until they separated).  We considered him our grandchild and love him as if he were.  However, about 5 years ago they moved from the area where we were living and we didn't know where he, his wife and 2 year old were.  I sent him a private message on Facebook and he responded and I want to keep a communication path open.  The little boy is now 7 years old.

Our hummingbirds are eating us out of house and home.  Two or three days ago we filled the feeder and it is now basically empty so we are fixing more sugar water for them.  They sure are entertaining.

Janet, your heavy rain and driving in it reminds me of a few times in Florida where it would rain so hard I was afraid to pull over for fear someone would follow me and crash into me.  Sure glad you made it safely home.  Glad you enjoyed your painting seminar and I agree it sure is a long way across Kansas.  On your iPhone you will need to know the name of your wi-fi router and the password that you all have set up.  The name and password for the network on my Comcast router is pre-assigned and is on the bottom of the router box. When you have that in hand go to the setting on your phone and find wi-fi, it should see your network and any others close by, and you click on your network name and then enter the password and click "OK" and you should be connected.

Carol, when you multi-task you end up with quite a bit done about the same time.  Time better spent with your children than watching the debates, although they were interesting.  I really don't understand the need to start having them so early as who is going to remember much about them.  I fear our choosing a President now has more to do with personality than it does with ideas and principles.

Marilyn, my long-lost friend goo to see your posting yesterday.  The picnic sounds like a lot of fun but surprised that dogs were not invited.  You sure got an early start to the day.

Ruth Ann, your phone served you well with your posting.  Hope your computer gets off of disability soon.

Carol

We had a gulley washer here yesterday with more predicted this afternoon.  1.5 inches in a matter of minutes and the Broncos field area had 3 1/5 inches of rain.  Flooding & high wind.  Tonight is a quilt meeting across town - we shall see.  Today, split-pea soup in the crock pot as that is Don's favorite.

Larry:  That is such good news for Pat and I know you will feel better each day she improves.

Marilyn
How is your son?  You have not mentioned him since I read about his health a while back.  I pray for his recovery and for the family.

I saw the note about Lee Kirkwood and am praying for the family.

I just found out that Lee Kirkwood has passed away....Please leave your condolences Here.  I have posted this URL for the family to see.

Carol there has been no chage yet for Roger, thank you so much for continuing to lift him up in prayer.

i am so disappointed I have some great pictures of me an Freckles  with our vests on at work, however I took them on one of my other phones  that is not connected but takes great pictures. They didn't save to the SD card that I  put in the phone but are still on the phone and I can't get them out of the phone I have even tried connecting the phone to my computer and still can't find the pics. They are there as I cans see them b the phone. Oh well, I will be taking my camera with me from now on because the old phone I am using  doesn't save to an sD card either. I when back to on of my old phones that I can get a cheaper  rate on instead of using the smart phone for a higher fee.

Larry, thanks for the tips on getting my iPhone set up.  It took me this entire day, and more than a few calls, but it's done.  We are keeping our land line number as my iPhone number, and canceling our land line.  Abby was here after her dental appointment and she put more stuff into the phone.  The number hasn't transferred yet (they said it takes longer for land line numbers to transfer) but I can call out on the new phone.  Question:  What do I do with the smart phone I have been using?  :-\

My brother's wife is in bad shape.  Her heart is failing and she fills up with water.  Had pneumonia to the point she didn't have strength to talk, had to rest every few words.  But she is home from the hospital!  My eldest sister is going to drive from Nebraska to Oklahoma to stay with her for a few days.  Prayers for Lola would be appreciated.

Darrel has gone to pick up some fried chicken for our supper!

Hi everyone.  It is a blue sky morning here in South Carolina with a high of 91 degrees and sunny all day predicted.  I think this will be a stay at home day as have nothing on the schedule.  I did sleep well last night and didn't wake until 7 am this morning (which is unusual for me but seemed to be extra tired last evening).  We did enjoy the luncheon out at Ryan's.  However, it did wear Pat out for the rest of the day.  She is now into the 4th week of recovery from her surgery and doing very well.

Carol, I have never cared much for peas in any fashion, except the tiny baby peas raw in a salad.

Marilyn, it is always sad to lose pictures.  Hope you find a way to recover them.

Janet, you are doing with your land line exactly what I did when I went to the smart phone and did away with the land line.  That avoided a need to do a lot of notifications of a new number and I didn't miss any calls that way.  Pat got a new number to give to her friends.  On your old phone about all you can do is remove the battery so it doesn't eventually corrode and store it away or donate it or give it away.  I have found that, unlike what Marilyn just said about going back to an older phone to use, I have never gone back to earlier phones.  I was able to trade in my old iPhone at AT&T when I went with my current Android phone.  Sorry to hear of the bad shape Lola's heart is in.  My dad went through this several times.

Ruth Ann Bice

Hi, friends,

It seems my computer is restored to health. :)

I still have a land line, but never give out the number, not even to family. It is for the purpose of using if my iPhone is ever lost or disabled.

I'm so thankful to be able to get back online and listen to the chatter this afternoon.

Now, I must go, for I have a data project due tomorrow.  In order to get my computer, I had to drive 40 miles round trip, for it needed a specialist to take care of its disability.

Y'all have a good evening. I'll try to get online tomorrow if time permits. I start early with taking the badly disabled lady to her doctor. Then, back to work on the data project if I don't get finished tonight.

Much love to each one of you. You're part of my family, and I feel lost and alone if I can't hear from y'all.

I'm tired tonight.  We went to Liberal today to do several things.  And we did get everything on the list done!  But both of us were pretty whipped by the time we got home.  I cannot use the new phone yet, as I guess the number hasn't transferred.  I can call out on it, but not receive calls.  I tried to do some stuff while Darrel was driving, but was stymied at every turn because they wanted username and password for everything.  And of course, I didn't have my "cheat book" along.  I'm much too weary to try doing anything with it tonight!

BUT...I did get Beth's rings to the jeweler, so he can make them the right size for her; and I did find a nice lace skirt, long, and a pretty top that I think will work for her wedding.  I may need to add a dressy, lacy white scarf of some kind, will have to see how the top looks on her.  John has "misplaced" the Dr.'s part of their Wish Upon a Wedding application, so that is causing more delay.  I finally decided to just not worry about it, after all, it's HIS wedding, not mine!  At first, I was very upset with him.  He isn't here, so he didn't know that.

The jeweler kindly let me bring the ring sizers home with me so we can find the correct size, and he advised me to try them in the afternoon and in the morning, to see how much her hands swell.  I was really shocked when I tried them, as she needed a size 13 this afternoon!!  :o  I knew her hands were quite swollen, even this morning, as when I took the engagement ring off her pinkie finger, it left a groove around it, and it is a size 10!  She is adamant that she wants to wear the rings on her hand, not on a chain around her neck.  So we are trying to find the solution.

A friend of many years has gone to heaven and his service is in the morning.  I am taking a salad for the dinner, and we will attend the service, which is at our church.  He attended a different church, but his son and daughter-in-law have been members of ours for many years, and he never even met the current pastor where he used to go.  He had been in the Alzheimer's unit of the care home for 6 years.

Ruth Ann, glad your computer is off disability now!

Hi everyone.  I am getting a rather late start here this morning.  I went to take my medicine and found I had to refill my two boxes.  I thought I had one week left.  It is another nice morning.  I will go to coffee in an hour and then attend the Wisdom group at 11:30 for an hour.  That will be it for today.

Ruth Ann, glad your computer is back in top shape.  Hope your work project went well.

Janet, nice of the jeweler to help you with the ring size.  You are wise to let John deal with the problem he created and as you have recognized being angry at him accomplishes nothing but an upsetting period of time for you.  I feel my anger but have made a decision not to harbor it and let it ruin more than a few minutes of my day.  Now that you have a smart phone and on occasion will need to access your password you might want to use a program called LastPass.  I have used it for several years as does Pat.  You have to remember only one password and then have access to all of your passwords that you have entered into LastPass.  It does cost $12 a year to have a subscription that allows you to use it on the iPhone, any tablets you use as well as on your computer.  You just have to be sure to write down the master username and password because if you forget or lose it you cannot recovery as the master password is not maintained on the companies servers but on your computer.  (I didn't get paid for this advertisement.  :)

Carol

It is that time of the year when we have beautiful mornings, rain and storms in the afternoon and lovely cool evenings with windows open.  A/C really only needs to run a couple of hours at the most - and the less is best for me.

Don is going to the drug store for me - my back needs some attention.  Now into 4th. day and it is getting better. I forgot a meeting yesterday - that is all.  A phone call from a neighbor in AZ - she is 86 years young and so fun to chat with so that started my day off - terrific .

Janet

Larry, you SHOULD have been paid for that advertisement--you did a great job!  How do I get LastPass?  I am interested, as I am having more trouble remembering all those things these days.  Too much stuff in my mental "computer" so I have trouble finding the right file!  That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!  And, do I buy LastPass for the iPhone first, or the computer?  As you can see, I need a lot of help!

Carol, nice your day started on a bright note, and I hope your back gets better and better until you have NO pain left!

I didn't make it in to see Beth this morning to see what size her finger is in the morning hours, because we had that funeral to attend.  I guess tomorrow is another day!  Larry, you are a wise man!  No wonder the pastor values your input.  I, too, am learning (still have a way to go) that anger or offences are not worth wasting valuable time on, to just shuck them off and let it go.  How I wish I had learned these things many years ago!  But better late than never, right?  ;)

Time for more of you to come in so Larry, Carol and I don't get bored or lonely in here!  Hope everyone is having a pleasant day.

Hi everyone.  It will be another day in the low 90s but no rain in the forecast.  This is the day for the housekeeper to come.  I will be gone most of the morning as have two medical appointments.  Then the rest of the day will be taking it easy.  I may tune in on some of the pro golf this afternoon.

Carol, glad to see your comment about your back feeling better.  It sounds like nice weather out your way.  We are seeing cooler temps here as we approach the fall season.  Pat felt like spending a little time up in her sewing room last evening after I retired.  Nice to talk with good friends like your neighbor in Arizona.

Janet, just go to www.lastpass.com and on that page you will see both download free or Go Premium.  Select the one you want.  When it has loaded then click on the link on the left that says "Add Site".  This gives you a new form to enter the URL, Username and Password.  In the little box below that information you can enter notes or any other information you may want to keep.  Be sure and always click on the "Save" button at the bottom of the screen to saw what you have entered.  You have the choice of letting that website be opened when you click on that name in the list of sites in your vault.  If you get a lot of entries use the "search vault" box at the top and type in a few letters or the site you need to find or you can simply scroll down.  I usually keep my links in Favorites, which is one of the folders you can use as that keeps everything alphabetical.  If you get stuck on any step along the way feel free to call me and I will be happy to walk you through the process.  When you sign up just sign up for Premium and then you can download the LastPass app on your phone and tablets.  Again I want to stress the importance of writing down your master password and username where you can find it as if you don't all your work on setting up LastPass would be lost.  You are right about "better late than never" as that was my path also for many, many years.  My life is much happier now that I have learned to Live and Let Live and not myself down with what someone else may have done or said.

Marilyn

I made Blueberry jam  Wednesday after noon and have Rye bread going right now. In fact  I need to go take it out of the machine and do the rest by hand. One more kneading rise and bake. When I set it to rise one more time I am going to take Freckles for a walk. I've just taught her howto shake hands, She sure learns quickly.

Yesterday the Furry Friend  humans did highway cleanup. Lots of walking hardly any trash. Someone else had done our mile. Then we went to lunch at one of the Mexican restaurants close by to my house.

Larry, thank you for the instructions re LastPass.  I hope I can find this page again when I get some things done.  I am so frustrated with the iPhone, I almost feel like I shouldn't have any kind of cell phone, except maybe the very simplest flip phone!  :-[  I have just never had such a hard time with anything before!!  I tried to do some things yesterday on it; it asked for my password, okay, ; then it asked for my birth date, and when I entered it, it said that didn't agree with their records!!  Over and over and over!   :ticked: I get so discouraged I just lay it down and go do something I CAN do!

I wish I had someone to help me.  I guess I will call consumer cellular, but I really hate to admit my ignorance to anyone.  (except you guys!)  And, Larry, I am not forgetting your kind offer of help.  However I think the help I need may take too long, and I wouldn't want to tire you out.  When I get the basics done, then I will likely be asking for your help with a few things.

I have another box of peaches to do something with!  I made a really good--and pretty!--peach pie yesterday, but still have lots of peaches to work with, and Darrel said he really doesn't want to freze them this time.  But I'm thinking that may be what has to happen.  I sure don't want them spoiling or going to waste!

I went to my studio and painted for two hours this afternoon!   :)  That makes me happy!

Marilyn, it sounds as if your Furry Friends organization is giving you a social group to do things with--that's so nice!

I'm going to a ladies meeting tonight called United Sisterhood.  I hope they have a good turnout and that all enjoy the evening!

Just received the notice of Lee Kirkwood's passing.  My prayers for the family and friends.

After being bumped off twice, I did finally order groceries from Walmart and we can pick them up tomorrow in a 4 hour block - we get to choose that block of time.  This will be so nice - my back isn't good and meds are making me groggy and forgetful.  I am not driving.

Looking at the silver lining in this almost wasted week of weakness and the very good thing is having time to call friends and relatives.  Twice a day, I have been able to chat uninterrupted

Janet:  You can do it!  Just have each and every step written next to your computer.  Don't give up but by all means, take a break and say "Oh, Jedediah" - which is what a neighbor would say instead of a curse.   ;D  As for the iPhone - I accidentally called a neighbor after 10 one night on that stupid iPhone.  How, I will never know.  It was so embarrassing for me - you could hear someone talking and I looked at the phone and finally realized our friend was asking me why I called.  Honestly, I had not dialed them at all that day so it still is a mystery to me.

Ruth Ann Bice

Hi, friends,

Well, for some reason, this has been a very sleepy day for me. I have days like this, and when they happen, I can only comply with that compelling need to sleep.

At least, I'm awake and doing well this evening. :)

I've enjoyed catching up with all of you. It's fun to have a dog that is willing and eager to learn. What fun teaching those new tricks.

I'm so thankful that y'all are leading me by example. In this instance, I realize that I have room to grow in dealing with my frustrations. I'll recognize those frustrations as sometimes impatience, sometimes as anger, and will work to curb those feelings and not hang onto them - the only person it hurts is me, for I don't let them out to be seen by others.

Y'all have a good rest of this short day, and a great day tomorrow.

Ruth Ann

Hi everyone.  Work got started at 7:30 this morning as the workmen continue to put on the siding for the house next door.  There are probably 6 or 8 of them.  We just got back from Krogers.  We wanted to go before it got too hot or too busy on this Saturday morning.  This will was Pat's first outing of this type since her surgery and it seems to have gone well.

Those hummingbirds are really going through the sugar water fast and Pat is refilling the feeder now after only two or three days.  Nothing else on the schedule for today.

The doctor asked me to try to start walking to see if I can build up my strength and that I should start with a 5 minute walk, which I did this morning.  It was very pleasant outside this morning.  I will watch some golf later this afternoon.

Marilyn, good for you participating in the highway cleanup.  Glad it wasn't too hard in terms of a lot of bending.  The Blueberry jam and Rye bread sound so good.

Janet, Sorry you are having so much frustration with your iPhone.  I assume you are trying to use the browser on the phone or is this to get to the iTunes store?  I know there are several of us here or on the computer discussion of Seniors and Friends who have or have had iPhone that can probably help you.  On most websites you are allowed to send a request to them to reset your password.  I don't consider not knowing something as ignorance and we can always fall back on the fact we are older.  :)  It sounds like picking up your paint brushes are a big reliever of your frustrations.  The peaches have been so good here this year.

Carol, I need to check with our Walmart about picking up groceries after placing your order.  How much is the charge for the service?

Ruth Ann, we all feel our feeling but, as you indicated, have a choice as to how long we want to let them control our thoughts and lives.

Janet

Happy Saturday to you all!

I asked Darrel earlier, "What ever happened to those two people named Darrel and Janet, who used to live here--you know, the ones who could actually work all day?  He just put his thumb over his shoulder, in the out-of-here gesture.  I got up before 5, spent time with the Lord, the got busy on the peaches.  The first box we got were starting to go bad, so I was scalding, peeling, slicing and putting them into freezer bags.  I finally requested some help from him, and he did come in and help me.  After I cleaned up that mess, I went out to the garden and pulled a huge trashcan full of weeds.  Darrel never pulls weeds; it he can't kill them with spray, they just grow!  And you can't spray weed spray in a garden!  I picked several sweet banana peppers and a few tomatoes.  And by then, I was tired!  I had been workiing hard for about three hours.

Abby told me she would be my tech support for the iPhone, if I will pay for her to upgrade to the iPhone 6.  Her phone is three years old!!!   :o  Kids!  Anyway, I texted her and asked when my tech support is to start?  She spent about 45 minutes on the phone with me and we did get a couple things done.  (I hope!)  Oh, the frustration!!

Ruth Ann, you can always talk to the Lord about your feelings; He already knows, and loves you unconditionally, anyway.  I find this helps me a lot.

Larry, other than the noise, are you enjoying watching the house next door going up?  Was yours also brand new?  I wish we had hummingbirds to watch!  And good for you for doing that 5-minute walk!  We have to start where we are!  When we went back to the gym, after three months, I was really shocked at how much strength I had lost!  I was able to push only 1/4 as much with my feet as before!  :o  But I WILL regain it!

Time to find something for lunch.  Later, Peeps!

We did drive to the Walmart store this morning and there are 4 special parking spaced for "pickup service".  There is no charge if you pick it up.  No tipping.  There is a minimum total you have to spend to get an order - the site will give you directions if needed.  I ordered heavy things - full bottles of detergent & such and that was so nice not  to go into that store with few checkers often.  You pay with credit card when ordering - I don't know how to do cash this way but it may be possible.  You check the list - by the way, they ask if you want prompt service to call ten minutes ahead of time.  Easy - it is about ten minutes from our house.  You can email me if you need more information - I just tried it once but believe me - it would be worth the house service call of $7 with a winter storm brewing or ice on the road or plan for one big shopping once a month.

We used to live in the country in Minnesota - 7 miles from everything and I learned to buy in bulk because of the weather.

Janet:  It sounds like the house and lawn are just getting to be a chore - love your garden but is it too much work now?  Good wishes on your iPhone.  My freebie #4 is just fine with me forever.  These kids!   ::)

My whole week has been worthless - so I was thinking until I realized that my morning time with devotions has been longer and more meaningful than ever so there is a reason for everything.

Who is the girl in the random image picture - the 4 year youngster?  Beautiful child of God!
