Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

My dear friend Dorothy, who passed away two years ago, left this world with a broken heart and praying constantly for her granddaughter, who had gone missing a few years earlier.

The story of Leah Peebles (Dorothy's granddaughter) will be aired on America's Most Wanted tomorrow night.

Here's the note from Leah's father, and the producer of AMW.

This is a e-mail I just received from the producer of our story to be aired on America's Most Wanted. Her story is finally on AMW's website and enclosed are a couple of links. Thanks so much for your prayers and support!

Sincerely, John Peebles

Hi there!

Hope you have a good weekend and that your year is going well so far. Just wanted to let you know I've finished Leah's story and my boss approved it. I have shown the story to people who know nothing about the case to get their reaction or feedback. It seems to be a tear-jerker. I think that's probably a good thing because I'm hoping that anyone who watches and knows something about Leah's case will feel compelled to call in with a tip. In all, the story will be about 10 minutes long. That's pretty good!

Anyway, it's set to air on Jan. 30th. I will make sure and notify local media in Albuquerque, and Ft. Worth, but I am sure they'd love to hear from you too. Also, I sent you the above links to Leah's case on our Web page. The top link will take you to our "Missing persons" homepage. As of today, Leah's is the featured case on that page. But we constantly rotate stories around our site. So in case it's gone by the time you click on the link, I sent you the link to her permanent page on our site.

What this means is that her case will be up on our site for just about as long as you can imagine. It also means that we can start receiving tips on her case that will go directly to detectives. If you have any questions at all, please let me know. Talk to you soon!

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

Ruth Ann:  I can hear your chuckle & Amen too ---what a wonderful gift of the coupons and sale on your church kitchen necessities.

JudyB:  Next week we will dog sit and stay with a 13-year-old granddaughter.  One dog is a puppy, one is about 6 or so years young and the oldest is a yellow lab 20 years in age.  There are health problems with the eldest dog and she continues to bite her foot and take bandages off so this will be a struggle & then to watch the puppy.

Janet:  It is great that you are taking good care - I hope all are safe.  It sounds like it is best to stay off the roads back east.

My cousin who always volunteers at an orphanage in Mexico did not go this year and we just got a video of the floods that washed out a bridge & no cars or trucks can get out so the many volunteers are trapped until they build a dirt bridge which will wash out with the next storm probably.  It looks like the orphanage is having delivery problems but I do know that it is supported by hundreds if not thousands of people here in the states & they will get what is necessary through and repair anything.

Etta Sue:  I untangled my yarn twice but have started once again on a double yarn throw pattern.  I am always cold and even when we lived in Texas I thought the winters were just awfully cold - houses were made so drafty there as compared to the one we had in Minnesota.

Wherever you are able to view America's Most Wanted tomorrow night, please do. It's on FOX here, at 9pm -8 central  I don't usually watch it, but I will be watching this time.  If nothing else, check out the second link in the above post, and read about Leah Peebles.  Then be in prayer for her and her family ... I have known them (her mother, aunt and uncle) since they were born!

Leah was in beauty pageants as a child (Little Miss Fort Worth) and a very sweet and loving child.  I've known of her story for several years.  Every time I heard from her grandmother, my friend Dorothy, she would ask me, in tears, to please keep praying for Leah ... and John and Sharon, her parents.

Carol it is amazing with dogs how one will be difficult to potty train and her puppies easy.  These puppies will start crying when they need outside.  Even in this very cold weather we are having they are still letting me know, but their mother is nigh near impossible.  There are times I can ring her neck!  LOL I guess I haven't learned her language yet.

We were out for 5 hours and came home to a cold house and an almost dead fire,  Thankfully there were still hot coals to restart.  We are still cool here tonight.  The joys of an old farmhouse.

We have to replace the catalytic converter in the van...as well as the muffler.  Doug is coming over to see if the one out of the parts van will work as a fix.  These parts are so pricey.  We are trying to keep the van going till the spring then get a car that I can run around in.  Something that is easier on gas than the van.

I am tired today, going to try to get to bed earlier.  Have a good night folks.

:)   Hi to all.    It is bitter cold in the Niagara region tonight I believe it is supposed to drop to - 19 c that is too cold.

Judy B.  I am glad that I am not up where you are that is even colder. Keep safe and look after yourself. Love ya sis.

To all other C.P Persons have a wonderful weekend and also stay warm especially  Etta Sue and your sister.  God bless to all and Praise the Lord.

Hi everyone.  We had a cold rain all night and it is just misty and cold this morning.  Fortunately it isn't cold enough to freeze here but is doing so not many miles north.

We had planned on bringing Stacey out today so we could celebrate her birthday tomorrow.  However, she asked that we come there and we go out to eat at Red Lobster so she doesn't have to use her crutches very much.  She used her crutches on a trip to Wal-mart a couple of weeks ago and it messed up her shoulder and may have been responsible for the pain that sent her to the hospital last weekend.  So we will go down after church tomorrow and spend time with her to celebrate her 45th birthday.

Judy, I had a used car one time that had three catalytic converters on it and that was a very expensive car to maintain.  If I recall I had to replace one of them while I had it.  Hope the used part works for you.  Sounds really cold up your way.

Jane, to have a child missing must be the worst nightmare.  Maybe this program will lead authorities to her.  If I don't forget I will try to remember to watch it tonight.

Carol, does your granddaughter help care for the dogs?  Hope you enjoy your time with your granddaughter.

Ruth Ann, enjoy the beauty of the snow.  It sounds like areas north of Georgia are really getting hit with it.

Jeanne, brrr!!

Janet, glad you got snow but sure hope you don't try to scoop it?  Is it to stay cold there for several days or will it begin to melt soon?

Gord, good to see you posting.

Another cold day, with a high only in the teens.  But tomorrow should be better - maybe even up to the mid 20's!   ;D

We all slept in today.  I am expecting word from John any time when he will be home.

We have a outside door that in winter becomes a wind tunnel.  We will be removing the door, putting in a window, and putting the door over about 6 feet. There is no way in the meantime to plug the cracks.  So last night I got an old towel and closed the door on it.  Lifted the mat to cover the bottom of the door and thought, "That is all I can do tonight."  When we got up this morning the hall was actually warm.  I will be using the towel during the daytime, and at night, until this cold snap breaks.

We are only now having brunch, so I have to go.  Be back later!

Good Morning Just letting you know that I am here reading all your posts and prayer where there is a need. Raining here this morning so I probably won't get to walk the dogs today unless it stops.

Today is Tony's 49th birthday!  I don't mind saying I am 67 but a son that is 49 makes me old!!

I can't figure out whether this is a too long day or a too short day.   ??? I am dusting, sweeping, doing laundry, tidying up, being on the computer, TV, radio...it seems all at once.  And I forgot to say, resting!  I can sure tell it had been 5 weeks since I swam 30 laps!  Muscles are sore, especially my back but it is a feel good sore...if there is such a thing!   ::)

I have two shows to record when AMW is on tonight.  Sometimes I can watch another show but sometimes I can't.  We will see what happens.  Just looked.  I think one of the shows I am recording is a rerun!!  Will check online to see for sure.

Bright and sunny here today!  But cold.  Only 20°F.  But I don't have to get out except to go get the mail and take Ivalou hers.

Etta Sue, how about a son who is 57?   :D  Now that's one to really make me feel old - well at least it makes me sound old!

Hey, Etta Sue and Jeanne ... My first child (Jean) was born in 1953 ... That's 57 years ago ... next daughter is 53 this year, and my "baby" daughter is 49 this year .... Me?  Well, I'm just a mite older than any of 'em ....  :D

How 'bout a grandson who is 36?  And then, consider a great grandson who will be 14 this year!   :yikes:

Sure is a good thing I'm not getting any older ... THEY are!!  ;D

I remember the shocked surprise when I heard "Grandma" and realized it was my daughter being spoken to!!

AMEN Jane... As to my age....I'm not talking!

John is home.  We are having some good times this weekend.  Working on deciding what to do with the van.

There is cloud cover today, thankfully that will make it not as cold for the night.

I'm rambling. Bye

Janet

Larry, I should have read your advice earlier!  We did shovel the snow this morning.  But since we only have one snow shovel, we took turns.  It is really nice here today, up in the 40s, and taking turns, we didn't either of us get too winded.  We only shoveled a path a little wider than the Cruiser, so it wasn't too bad.

I went to Pat's for her to do my hair, then to the care home and finished reading the book to Beth.  It is Any Minute by Joyce Meyer and another lady, and is so good--a real cliff-hanger!  Several of the nurses want to read it, so we gave it to Sondra today to read, then they will pass it around.

Jane, I will try to find the story tonight and watch it.  Will look at the TV guide as soon as I get off here.

JANE--I came back to say I noticed you said the show is tomorrow night, but the letter you showed says the 30th, which is tonight!  So which is it??

Janet ... it's tonight, the 30th.  I posted that message yesterday!

Oh Jane what a story.  I pray for that family that they will find their daughter!

Jane Walker

I pray, all the time, too Judy!  I've known this family since Sharon (her name is Sharon Rose) was born ... and before.  Leah's grandmother was a very dear friend of mine.  In fact, I named my youngest daughter, Dot, for her ... I know her heart was broken, and she never stopped praying for answers regarding Leah ... her first granddaughter.

I surely hope there is something positive that comes from this.

I recorded AMW so I haven't watched it yet.  Some time this week, I am sure, since I watch the oldest recordings first.

I am all ready for church and the house is all ready for Tony and Charlene to come.  If I never had company, I wouldn't clean house as good!!!

Ivalou hasn't called me yet so I am assuming she is going to church with me.  Yeah!!  I am running the overhead again today and then I can rest for 6 weeks or so.

Looks like a sunny day today but cold...only 14° as I am typing!!
