JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

If ya'all don't mind, I prefer not doing it at all.
Today is laundry day up at the little laundry room we have in this mob. park.  Pray that social security isn't interrupted this next week.  Pray that congress/president get done what they NEED to get done (for a change).

Janet

Pray for Israel!  Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!  Pray that our president will either CHANGE or BE REMOVED!  So very many prayer needs, we should all pray without ceasing.

My daughter Kerri has sold her lovely home and bought a condo in town.  She has been under tremendous stress for months, prayers for her would be greatly appreciated.  Her husband got an "emergency" divorce!  I didn't even know such a thing existed... :idiot:

But it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, as Mr. Rogers would say!  I walked in the cool of the morning and enjoyed another lovely sunrise.  God is still on His throne, and He knows the end from the beginning, and will bring all things to the conclusion He planned before the creation of the world.  I'm very thankful for that, as my little finite mind cannot begin to unravel all the problems we are facing at this time in our history!

Hi everyone.  Not much to write about today other than the hot weather, which I guess most of us are experiencing.  It is going to be another very hot day today.  We had an enjoyable afternoon yesterday playing a game with friends and then going to Appleby's for a good meal.  However, Pat and I were both very tired when we got home and I am feeling exhausted today so plan to stay in and take it easy.

Marilyn, sorry to hear of Forest breaking his collar bone.  However, don't think that is too unusual for active boys and sure he will heal quickly.

Jeanne, I hope your uncle learned a lesson.  What could he have been thinking to purposely fall out of the tree.  His parents must have been beside themselves.

Al, I also hope there is no interruption in the Social Security payments.  Our daughter expects to get her first check next week.  Pat doesn't get hers until the second Wednesday in the month.  I get paid on the first for my retirement so hope that won't be affected.  It is a wonder anything works with the chaos in Government.  I watched a video this morning of a hearing with the oil executives and Maxine Waters stated outright that it was her goal to see the government take over and run the oil companies.  Now wouldn't that be a mess.

Janet, I never heard of an emergency divorce either.  I was shocked to read that only a few days after mentioning it was pending that it was over.  Maybe things will be less stressful for Kerri in the months ahead as some of the chaos is removed from her life and she gets settled in her new place.  (I don't think I ever used the word chaos in one posting before.  Guess it is a sign of the times.)

I spoke with Forest yesterday and he said he was at a friends house and they were playing in the Slip and Slide. He  was running and he friend was behind hime he slipped and fell on his shoulder breaking his clavicle.

A Slip and Slide is a long plastic thing that  is laid our on the lawn a hose is attached and the water  covers the plastic the kids slide on it.

Yes, Larry, I think the word chaos applies in a number of areas today!

AL:  Prayers for the continuation of SS.  I have sheets drying on a frame outdoors & they dry in minutes here.

Marilyn:  Sorry for Forests pain from his accident.  Also, you made a lovely blanket!  It has beautiful colors.

Janet:  Hugs to you & daughter Kerri as well.

I am very late in posting today.  First of all, Tony came and worked on my dryer.  Seems the vent hose wasn't stopped up but glad I tried it when he got it all put back together.  It didn't turn on.  When he first took the back off, he asked why two wires were just hanging there...like I would know...ha!  My only answer was maybe if my dryer had a buzzer to tell you it was done, they would be hooked up.  So after it didn't work, he pulled out the dryer again.  Un-fastened the hose again.  And took off the back again.  He put these two wires on something and I turned it on and it worked!!  So he buttoned everything back up and all is fine.  Why these two wires came off when he removed the back is beyond both of us!!

But now I am thinking that I need to run the spin cycle on the washer a tad longer to get more moisture out of the clothes before putting them in the dryer!

Tony couldn't get my outside umbrella clothesline out of the ground so I guess I have to use it the way it is or use the inside dryer!

Then I showed him the zennioptical.com website.  He is wanting new glasses that are transitions so he had me email him the website!  He can get a free exam at WalMart.

Then I almost had to tell Tony he had to go so I could get changed for the Bridal Shower that Ivalou and I were invited to attend.  We went to the shower and a good time was had by all.  The wedding is to be in Michigan and now Ivalou and I are thinking about going to the wedding...mainly for a mini-vacation than the wedding!!  It is Sept 3rd...Labor Day weekend.

Now I am home for the rest of the day.  Hot, hazy and humid!  H3.

Hi everyone.  An overcast beginning of the day with a 50% chance of rain.  I had a wasted day yesterday as spend most of the day and evening laying down as had one of the weariness spells I sometimes have.  I hoped it was over this morning and got ready for church but have decided I need to rest again today as the weariness has returned.

Etta Sue, it does seem that most folks must be busy or away.  Glad you got your dryer fixed.  Maybe the wires hanging down were a big part of the problem.  Hope you and Ivalou can make the trip to Michigan for the wedding and mini-vacation.

Marilyn
